The Painted Lady Tattoo

Genuinely one of the best tattoo experiences we’ve ever had. The painted lady was extremely accommodating with our limited time in Arizona and there team of dedicated artist brought our visions to life for an affordable price. Lexi and Michael were amazing and we cant wait to bring them more work in the future! Their food recommendations were also top notch 👌🏼

I came from Michigan and this was the first shop to reach back out to me. Great communication. Staff was super friendly! The space was clean and I got an amazing Tattoo! Even did a tiny touch up on two of my older tattoos! Hands down this would be my go to shop if I lived out here!

I was confused when I first walked into this shop and had to ask -The Receptionist- if this was even a tattoo shop. It is spacious, organized and everyone is so friendly. The lady at the front desk asked me what I was looking for and she matched me with the appropriate artist. Nate Brinker accepted my idea and created a drawing that I was immediately pleased with. My appointment was 2 weeks later and he completed my entire shoulder blade in just over 4 hours. The details and color he managed to get into my tattoo are incredible! Very happy I found the Painted Lady and I will be back!

Lexi is AMAZING! She is patient, friendly, professional so knowledgeable and very talented in her artwork. My daughter and I did a session back to back with hers being her 1st tattoo ever. Lexi made her experience so enjoyable. She has the tattoo bug now and can’t wait to get another one. I followed Lexi from her last studio and she’s been nothing but incredible. Her skills and artistic vision are amazing. I got a tattoo of my cat that passed away after 18 years together. I found Lexi on the Painted Lady Tattoo page and then looked at her work on her instagram and loved her style and ability to make animals look realistic. Lexi was absolutely amazing, she made she that every detail of my tattoo was exactly as I wanted it and really took the time to make sure the tattoo itself was perfect and resembled my boy. Everyone in the shop is friendly and I love the open atmosphere with the art on every wall. I came in today for a touch up with Jenna for a work that was done by another artist. She is friendly and listened to my concerns. Also very thorough with the whole clean process and setup prior to starting the work. She is their apprentice for now but I think she’ll be great!I am happy and satisfied with her work!

I would first like to say that this was my first tattoo. Also, I am on the older side of life. I went to The Painted Lady after doing some research. My tattoo artist was Nate and man oh man let me tell you what. He is an incredible artist and tattoo artist. After my consultation and showing him what I wanted, he created a masterpiece on my forearm. It is an Eagle with an American flag in front of the sun. Absolutely amazed and impressed with it. What a great place. The atmosphere is great also. If you are looking for a place to get the perfect tattoo, look no further. I will be going back to do my other arm. A personal thank you to Nate. Really went above and beyond...We had an apt with Tony to get small pieces done... he canceled last minute and didnt respond to me about rescheduling... we stopped in to get our deposit back... for reference we are from PA.. and decided to get a tattoo while in town visiting family... when we went in they informed us he had left the establishment unexpectedly and kinda screwed a bunch of appointments over... they went above and beyond and two amazing artists, Nate and Mikey, took us as walk ins. Alittle over an hour later they had designed and tatted us to perfection... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!The receptionist was so kind and accommodating and the artists were very talented and knowledgeable... GO here if u want great work and kind service!!!

I honestly can’t say enough about The Painted Lady. Everyone is super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The artists that we’ve worked with have been exceptional. Mikey is our Dude!He’s tattooed myself, my wife and both of our sons. Not so much as a line out of place. Jenna recently tattooed my wife and she is very happy with her work as well.The shop is immaculate and well thought out. At first we were upset because our artist canceled the day of our appointment. We decided to go earlier than our appointment and it turned out that the artist quit that day without notice and the staff were very accommodating and happily had Nate and Mikey do our couples tattoos instead. Very pleased with how they made it right and both our tattoos came out better than expected.

My sisters and I were just there for tattoos. Everyone was very friendly and professional. We had Justin design and do the tattoo. He did such a wonderful job. We did have some slight problems with getting in touch with them about the design of the tattoo prior to coming so we went in without knowing what the final design would look like. Had the pleasure of working with Mike at The Painted Lady yesterday. Apparently, the shop had faced some obstacles throughout the day that led them to being slightly backed up, but the level of leadership & service spearheaded by the owner Mary was incredible. As for our artist, he made an exception to accommodate our late day schedule and stayed late to assist my brother and I with our project. Mikes demeanor was very welcoming, and we appreciated his patience as we made small amendments to what we wanted. His work speaks for itself, and our tattoos exceeded our expectations. Thank you again to The Painted Lady team and we look forward to connecting again soon for the next project.

I’ve used Sheryl for two tattoos now, and I love her work and her style. The shop itself is nice and clean. All the people who work there are professionals and artists and i really appreciate all the work they do. I value the care and effort Sheryl puts into really understanding what you’re looking for. For both of my tattoos, we made same day changes based on what I wanted in general, but she also gives very reliable advice on tattoo arrangement, color choices, and tattoo location/size. Every time has been a pleasant experience and I am pretty sure I have found my tattoo shop for life!(Side note reading some of the low star reviews, take with a grain of salt seems like most of the bad reviews were jerks that didn’t get whatever ridiculous request they wanted and cried to Google 🤣. These people are professional artists and definitely don’t get the respect they deserve! Whoever writes the responses to those reviews, kudos for standing up for your awesome staff!)

The staff at The Painted Lady are great but have you gotten work done with Sheryl?She’s absolutely amazing! She is my go-to gal for all my tattoo pieces. & I LOVE ALLLL MY PIECES ❤️ I trust her 100% when it comes to her designing and tattooing on me. Aside of being funny she is very detail oriented, reassuring and is always ready for any crazy idea that I throw at her. Booking on Sheryl’s website is super easy and convenient for those who have a busy schedule & you can also pay your deposit online. It’s a one stop shop. I came here a couple months ago to get a consultation from Sheryl after doing significant research and figure out kind of an idea what I wanted. Sheryl was super amazing from the beginning. I wanted one of my older tattoos from 2014 redone and just kind of brightened and relined. Then I also want a tattoo for my grandma who passed the day before my birthday. I honestly would suggest Sheryl any day. Even though she was booked out, she did give me a rough estimate of how long it would take to get the one tattoo done and then re-lining the next tattoo so we booked here for a six hour tattoo. And if it ends up being shorter, you know the price would change. I had to reschedule one time and she was super accommodating and got me in today. From the beginning she made everything comfortable, she showed me her drawing and what she thought and kept to the colors I had in mind. I was super fidgety of a person the entire time and she was accommodating about that. We were able to take breaks when I needed and for food of course which I had delivered to the shop. Overall, what she had on paper when it went onto the skin blew my mind. She made it everything I wanted and more. She made the one on my back kind of flow into the one on my arm which was what I wanted. She made the tattoo in memory of my grandma come alive and beautiful. I can’t thank Sheryl enough for doing such an amazing job. She put everything that was in my head and brought it out in every way possible. I really like this tattoo shop just in general to add. It’s clean, everything is sanitary and the other tattoo artists I talked to were down to earth enjoyable people.

I recently had a tattoo done by Sheryl Lake and overall had a super positive experience. She was really booked however she was able to work with my schedule and get me in. The atmosphere had good light and was clean and the people who work there were really nice and professional. Sheryl was really easy to talk with from the beginning. She is a good listener and we came up with the perfect little design for me. She is a true artist. If I return to Tucson for a tattoo in the future I will definitely reach out to her again. Made an appointment with Kyle for a flash tattoo and didnt really know what to expect as I had never done a flash tattoo before and I am blown away by how good my little hummingbird came out. The staff are all very nice & Kyle was awesome, he chats with you the whole time, lets you know what hes doing and what to expect at each point. I cant wait to go back and get more work done by Kyle. From the initial consult to each of two sessions, Nate Brinker was the absolute best. He listened to my ideas, created a beautiful drawing, ensured it was what I wanted and put together a plan that I was very comfortable with. Cool place! The studio is super clean and comfortable. The people there are super nice. I got tattooed by Justin and he was the best! He was patient with changes to the stencil, gave great advice on the design and the tattoo came out really nicely. Everything was sterile and safe; Justin definitely knows what hes doing. Pricing was transparent and fair.

Sheryl did my tattoo and it was all such an easy and great experience from booking to bandaging up my tattoo at then end of the visit! She listened to what I had in mind and came up with the perfect design for me, way better than I could have imagined! I had to book a couple months out, and I can see why! I found this tattoo shop just by searching Google Maps. As they have the best reviews for shops in Tucson, I chose to go here for a new tattoo for myself, as well as for my sons first tattoo. I made the right choice! They were able to schedule us for the perfect day within my short timeframe of being in town, for which I was so grateful!We were here on 14 June 2023, for my sons big sixteenth birthday gift, but also a special day for us as mom and son - matching tattoos! The shop is easy to find, clean, open, bright, and welcoming. Parking is slightly awkward but abundant. Everyone we encountered that works here, was friendly and professional.This shop takes the tattooing of minors very seriously, as they make sure to have the proper documents from both the parent and minor, so they have proof of not only parental permission, but familial relationship. We securely uploaded our documents via a link sent to our phones, and filled out all other necessary information there, as well.Our artist, Justin, was the PERFECT fit for our tattoos, as well as our personalities. My son and I both enjoyed getting inked by and talking with him! Justin made the entire experience super relaxing and comfortable; it was as though we were just hanging out, rather than conducting a business transaction. He isnt heavy-handed, and is very thorough in his art. He made my tattoo idea come to life in an even better way than I imagined, and did an incredible job with the actual tattooing - theyre beautiful! He really knows how to make black and grey pieces stand out.We couldnt have found a better artist or shop for my sons first ink, and wish we didnt live out of state so we could make this our place for future tattoos... but I cant say well never be back, because we absolutely will be, should the opportunity arise! My wife and I lost our babies and she wanted to get a tattoo to honor them. From booking with George to getting it done was such an amazing experience. It was her first tattoo, and she can be very very picky when it comes to things. She kept making little changes and small placement adjustments. Almost 2 hours later she was happy with it, and finally ready to get it inked. George was so patient and compassionate the whole time. I can not express how grateful we are with this whole experience. I honestly can not put into words how awesome he was!

Milo did a great job with my tattoo. he quoted me for a price we had talked about and even though it took longer than expected he still only charged me for the quoted price. he had told me he thought my tattoo was the following day of my appointment and let me know he was running late on the design due to the day confusion and came in on his day off to finish my design and tattoo me instead of pushing my tattoo to a later date. overall great experience and very thorough.

Super great artists! Samantha at the desk was super cool and polite as well. I had Jonathan do my tattoo and he was very knowledgeable and helped me through some stupid questions as it was my girls tattoo. Staff went above and beyond for me, music in the shop was phenomenal. No complaints, and yes, tipping is mandatory, especially with these amazing people!

Wow!!!!! Justin was absolutely astounding as a human being and a tattoo artist. He did a magnificent job on my tattoo. My friend and I came in to get some small simple tattoos done and we overall had a great experience, the guy who tattooed us name was George and he was really great, he had a steady hand and was really nice. Went here for my first tattoo and met with George. He made sure I was happy with the placement and stencil before finalizing. He was a great guy to work with and was very informative as I had some questions. The work went better than expected and I am excited to work with these folks again!

It’s always a good session with Sheryl. She listens to what you want and throws in her own artistic flair. Tattoos aren’t always the most pleasant of experiences but Sheryl is both creative and human- she offers breaks, input, and recognizes the sacrifice of her clients’ time. I have been to her twice now and I’m SO happy I returned. Her tats heal well and look incredible when completed.
