90% of the bad reviews on here seem to be from one incident not related to how these folks tattoo - just ignore it.I went in for the first time and was immediately welcomed with a smile by Tony. The place was awesome on the inside. After a few minutes, he came back out with the art I had requested. After we agreed on placement, he got to work and was done in a very timely fashion. Tony was really nice, but most importantly amazing at what he does.They have an ATM on site if you need cash to pay. Dont worry about any of the trash reviews on here. Everyone in the shop had great vibes.

Wish I could rate them more than one star considering I’ve never even been tattooed by them, but rating based off customer service. I went to the shop to put a deposit down and schedule an appointment while discussing what I wanted with the artist that was going to do my work. He had his appointment book in front of him while talking with me and we agreed upon that following Saturday at noon. Great! I show up at noon on Saturday, I walk in and say “hi I have an appointment at noon with ___ (not wanting to blast the artist because I believe he’s newer)” only to receive a chuckle back from the two guys at the front and then “hang on let me go get him.” So then the artist comes out and says “so I must’ve double booked today because I also have this guy at noon and he’s been scheduled for awhile… do you have any time later today?” I had time, but it’s the fact that he scheduled the appointment with his book in front of him and wrote me down, and I had also reached out via IG to discuss specifics a couple days after scheduling. I ended up getting my deposit back but I left very frustrated and defeated because I chose Black Gold specifically for their style of work. Really sad that I didn’t get to get my work done by them.

I got my nose pierced there years ago and I still think about how angry this place made me. They dotted me/marked the placement and I approved it but then when the guy actually put it in, it was off. Like, I could see the dot ink of where it was supposed to be. I didnt make a scene but I cannot recommend it.

I had just lost my mom two days before. My hubby took me in to get a tribute tattoo and I lucked out with Niah. He was so kind and friendly and gracious. He’ll be my go to from now on!!!! Thanks Black Gold for the great service and thanks Niah! From Shannon the Holly neighbors 🩷

A friend of mine recommended Black Gold. I had a GREAT experience there today and plan on going back in a few weeks to get another tattoo with my mom. If I could give it more stars I would.

This place was very clean, super professional and did amazing work. They specialize in American Traditional and will mainly do that style, if you aren’t into that style, maybe somewhere else might be for you but I still recommend them. I had to work with my artist to get that style out of my tattoo but they were super nice and kind about it. I got mine from Ben, he only does walk ins but is really great. This was my first tattoo and it turned out amazing. Thank you!

The staff is dedicated to their craft, and take their form of art to the next level through careful attention to detail and in depth knowledge of their process.With such a diverse team, there will easily be someone you can consult with regarding your ideas, whatever they may be. Just be forewarned, their reputation and skill will require you to plan in advance as their team is busy, and booked.If you happen to speak with Charles Page, mention this review and he might give you TWO free pens from the front desk instead of just one. These guys are great. Very friendly and welcoming. They do great work and were really easy to work with when coming up with the artwork. Quick and quality--definitely know what theyre doing.I would definitely go here for another tattoo.

One of the artists who works here now did my tattoos in a previous shop and I cannot fully show my gratitude for what a great job he did. Niah is an absolutely talented professional, and I would gladly make the trip to Tulsa just to get the chance to be tattooed by him again.10/10, would recommend!

I got my very first tattoo here and I couldnt have asked for a better experience! Going in I was super nervous and intimidated, but all of the staff were very welcoming and happy to help me. I was also unsure because I am not the biggest fan of traditional style tattoos but the artist who tattooed me, Jay, has a pretty unique style and I absolutely adore my tattoo. The place is clean and the artists are friendly and know how to keep you comfortable during something that would otherwise be painful. So happy that I went here for my first tattoo.

My husband and I got matching tattoos here two days ago. We love them. They got us right in and in less than an hour we had our tats! Niyah was very nice and professional! Both artists are very good.

Awesome people and clean facilities! Caleb pierced my daughters belly button and he went out of his way to make sure she completely understood what was involved with her piercing and the after care. He also made sure she was comfortable and relaxed. HIGHLY recommend Caleb for your piercing needs!!!! Thank you Caleb!!!

I just had tattoo artist Charles Page do my first color piece and I was blown away by the end product! Everyone here is friendly and personable and the shop itself is clean and professional with an awesome old-school vibe. I’ll definitely be returning for my next one.

Recently got a dermal here and I cant remember my piercers name but he was super friendly and walked me through the whole process. I had a dermal before that was in the same spot but it was pierced incorrectly and I had issues with healing and migrating. Since I got it done here I havent had any issues and it healed beautifully even with piercing through scar tissue. Thank you so much!!! Ill be back!

Some of the best art work Ive seen that doesnt cost you your arm or leg. I got my snakebites from here and the gentleman was super informative and professional. Ill be going back there for tattoos and more piercings. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

A cool tattoo studio with lots of American traditional designs. I especially liked Nuke Em Niahs designs -- he had a lot of beautiful original designs. Im not sure if they advertise them, but the shop offers a lot of discounts and specials for every Friday the 13th, for designs discounted as low as $100. Everyone here was very friendly. I watched a friend get a tattoo, and the tattoo artist was very kind.

Just wanted to take some time and express my gratitude to Chris. I had a surgery scheduled and was needing to take out a tragus bead ring (that I hadn’t removed in over 15 years) and put in an acrylic labret. He was super helpful, clean and friendly. He explained when the acrylic piece would need to be removed and offered to help change it out when I was able to come back. Went back today to get it changed out and really appreciated his help again. I recommend Black Gold Tattoos and Piercings for their cleanliness, education, helpfulness and friendliness. Thank you!

WORST customer service I have EVER encountered ANY WHERE. The owner is an absolute joke. Never in my life would I ever recommend a tattoo or piercing from this place! I recieved a tattoo at their shop from a kid just starting out, he complained about how a cover up would not be his original work then proceeded to take 15 minute smoke breaks every 30 mins of tattooing, not only was I charged for these breaks but also was told I would have to come back for another session when there was only MAYBE 20 mins of work left to do. I didnt argue I didnt complain I was grateful and set the next appointment, I paid for 4-5 hours of work he had done AND tipped him very well. He kept my original $60 I put down to go toward the next appt. At the next appointment he took 20 minutes to set up, 10 minutes to tattoo me 30 minutes to EAT HIS LUNCH then probably another 5-10 to tattoo me and charged me for TWO hours of work. We had an appt set for a month he knew I would be there but I didnt complain, I paid for 2 hours and tipped again very well. The whole second experience, sitting there while he ate his lunch, really sat funny with me and When I called the owner/piercer and told him I have felt uncomfortable about the situation. I recently almost died this is the soonest I could get ahold of anyone. I would not necessarily want my money back or even the deposit but an appointment with a different artist without paying another deposit that I never originally got back or worked into my tattoo cost the first two times he laughed then told me he guesses hes sorry I almost died but it was not his problem and to come in and talk to them individually after I had already explained to him the multitude of obstacles I have gone through just to contact the original artist there and he will NOT get back to me. I have called, left messages, I have driven across town multiple times when he was unavailable to try to speak or even schedule something else, I even reached out to this guy on Instagram with no response. Today I spoke with the low life that calls himself a business owner. Who laughed in my face when I told him I was a survivor. I was so hesitant to really bad mouth this place and the ridiculous experience I had until getting to explain things to the owner who literally laughed at me and told me theres absolutely nothing he can or would do for me then HUNG UP ON ME. If you want your money stolen from you or taken advantage of because you dont know much about tattoos OR if u just want an atmosphere where they bully and make fun of you for what you have been through then this is the place for you. If you have a brain youll take this warning and spread this horrid customer service I experienced.

Got my nose done by Caleb and I love it! He made sure I stayed calm and knew what all I had to do to keep my peircing clean! I highly recommend Caleb if you need a peircing! Great place and Great people!

Personally never got a tattoo there. But have seems some great art work come out of there. But they also always support a Veteran organization I am with and they do it with a cheerful heart.

By far the best and cleanest shop in Tulsa! Staff is always welcoming and accommodating. I have always had the best work, jewelry, and service at this shop. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I have received several tattoos at Black Gold. Clean shop, professional staff. The shop has even gone out of their way to support my Veterans organization, which has a mission to support local area veterans in many different ways.

This place hates cops and veterans. I had a buddy who wanted his old badge number tattooed and they refused to do so without giving him a reason. So yea this place can sit and spin.

This place was great fast and easy I had gotten my nipples pierced for the second the first time they were done it was done didnt turn out so well this time its great I had scar tissue from the previous time I had them pierced so when I got them pierced by Black Gold my left nipple where the scare tissue is is a lil crooked ThT the only complaint I have but I really dont know if it was me the scare tissue or the guy that did them however I would go back for more work
