Ink Monkey Tattoo and Piercing

Friendly, and to be honest felt no pain, I got industrial and forward helix piercing together ! Amazing experience . Also I got tattoo experience with Max and he did an amazing job.

I took my four-year-old daughter to Ink Monkey last week because she wanted her ears pieced before a wedding, and we had a great experience with Two Hawks and the whole shop in general. Two Hawks was super professional, helped us pick out the right earrings, was calm and put her at ease, and took the time to provide great education on how to care for the piercings. He even told us to swing by a few days later so he could check on how they were healing since her ear lobes are abnormally small and he had to get quite close to the cartilage. We went by today and while we were waiting for him, one of the tattoo artists gave my daughter a fake tattoo which delighted her. Two Hawks checked her piercings and put in a longer post on one of them because he noticed some swelling and didn’t want us to end up having any issues. I was super impressed with how proactive, thorough, clean, professional, and precise he was, and would definitely come back here for future piercings.

I love this place ! Im plus size and got my belly pierced. Two Hawk was my piercer and he was the best ! So honest , gentle and friendly ! He’s being doing this 20 years and it shows! I was scared and he helped me through it. It actually ended up not even hurting ! 10\10 recommend !!! Oh! It was $40 for the piercing and $30 for the jewelry. Not bad for quality work.

This was my third visit to Ink Monkey, this time just to replace a flat piercing and they never disappoint. They have a lot of nice 14k jewelry to choose from that were simple, sophisticated and with fine detail. Two Hawk sanitized and cleaned the existing piercing and replaced my piercing. Quick and easy. Literally walked in because I was in the neighborhood and it took 5 min tops (that is if you know what kind of jewelry style youre looking for....otherwise browsing all of their options might take you a while.)

Scoob did such a beautiful job on a tattoo honoring my son who recently passed that I returned to have him create my Chinese birthday Year of the Dragon. I have to say he knocked it out of the park! It’s Gorgeous a real Stunner! I get frequent compliments on both. Scoob is a consummate professional who is enormously talented and creative. He has a gentle touch which made a 6 hour back piece practically painless!I highly recommend and endorse his work!Love 💜🙌🏽🙏🏽

Terrible outcome. My friends and I went here to get matching tattoos on our fingers and the base price was $100 and we tipped very well. The tattoos didn’t hurt at all and now we all know why. My tattoo is almost completed faded and gone after 7 days. Very disappointing and we live out of town so now we’re going to have to go somewhere else to fix their mistake. For context, I have 7 other tattoos so I know how to care for them to keep them vibrant.Edit after reading shops response: I have a finger tattoo. I’ve had it for 11 yrs. It’s still very much present and visible.

My niece and I came in for her birthday for nose piercings. Two Hawks was lovely start to finish. Showed us all the jewelry and talked me out of a bulky piece that would have looked very weird in my nose (🙏🏼). He was funny and helpful and quick! Both of us are super happy with our piercings and I’d definitely go back.

I went in with my best friend for matching belly button piercings and Two Hawks took care of us. The experience and professionalism was unmatched, he even cracked a few jokes with us. He made us feel comfortable and explained the risks, rejection possibilities, healing process, and piercing type thoroughly- we both ended up with floating navel piercings which look exactly like belly button piercings but are more suited for our belly button anatomy. Pricing was clear and extremely reasonable as well. By the time we were done, I also wanted a tattoo consult. This shop is honestly great and I can’t wait to get a tattoo done

I have gotten all my piercings at this shop over the last 10 years. Every piercer I have ever gotten a service with has always been professional and well knowledgeable in their trade which makes me come back every single time and trust that the shop only has the best quality employees.I got my most recent piercing by Two Hawks and he was very professional and respectful and helpful during the entire process from picking jewelry, to getting the service done and after care instructions.I will be coming back in the future for my next piercing. I have yet to have a negative experience at this shop which is the biggest reason that I keep coming back for all my services.

Got two tattoos from Max and loved both of them! They were Friday the 13th tattoos but Max still made sure to take his time and pack in all the detail. The shop as a whole was also great as far as friendliness and cleanliness goes. Definitely plan on visiting again!

I love this shop :) ive been twice now, the first time to get me eyebrow pierced and the second time to get my smiley. both times i went i was with 2 of my friends who also wanted piercings and all the staff were SO nice, organized and professional with us. two hawks did my brow piercing a few months ago and i love it! super cool guy who makes you feel comfortable. i just got my smiley pierced by T yesterday and she did an amazing job!! she was nice and quick and the whole process was super smooth! highly recommend this shop :) thanks guys! 💗

I felt really welcomed here when getting my second lobes pierced. Two Hawks took great care of me and made me feel super comfortable, helped me pick out the right Jewlery for my piercing and gave me great advice for after care. Two Hawks is easily the best piercing artist I’ve ever had—I’ve had 13 piercings (now I have 14). Extremely professional, exceptionally clean, utterly thorough and knowledgeable. I needed two holes on my ears repierced, due to a shoddy job by someone else many years ago, and he also pierced a part of my cartilage—both of my ears feel so much better, it was painless, and they look beautiful. Could not recommend him and Ink Monkey more highly.

Two Hawks and I have been on a journey together. Anyone who has cartilage piercings knows you want to best in the business to ensure a speedy recovery without any bumps. You also want someone really creative with artistic sensibilities to map out your designs. Two Hawks is the best and he knows I have to be bougie, so gives me the best options to be fancy without putting my piercings in jeopardy. Came here as a walk in for a nose piercing, and my mom wanted a new nose ring. The staff was extremely friendly and informative! Two Hawks was amazing! I got my anti eyebrow piercing here. The piercer Two Hawks KNEW what he was doing. He was so informative. He told me how it was done and the anatomy of the piercing. It really calmed my nerves. After the piercing i was feeling a little dizzy and he made sure I relaxed and took my time getting up. And he was honest if it would good on me.

Scoob did such a great job on me and my friends tattoos! He took his time even though we came in later in the day and we had such a fun time with him. lots of laughs, will definitely get more tattoos from him, and recommend him HIGHLY!!!

Got an amazing tattoo from my guy max! He was incredibly quick and professional as I changed what I wanted a few times. He worked with me to nail the perfect tattoo design and then effortlessly scrawled it on my body like it was nothing (with extra shading that I didn’t even have to ask for). A true artist that just wants to make a best tattoo possible.

Several months ago I received a nose pierce. ( I don’t recall who did the piercing) A few days later I had an issue and quickly messaged the studio. They put me in touch with Two Hawk who was amazing and helped me with my issue. I recently messaged him asking when he was going to be at the studio because I wanted to exchange the pierce in my nose for something else. He responded right away and we confirmed a time and day. Two Hawks did a Helix piercing on my daughter, and she absolutely loves it! He was patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. He took time to explain everything before and after the piercing, and he made her feel very comfortable. He was professional, he made her laugh, and the shop was very clean. I was a walk-in for a navel piercing. I arrived 7 minutes after Two Ink Monkey opened. Two Hawks was my piercer; he took me immediately after I filled out a waiver. I highly recommend him. He went over all of the jewelry options with me. I chose this beautiful opal piece. Next, we went to a back room where he sanitized the area, precisely outlined where the piercing would go, and allowed me to check his work. Next, its piercing time! I felt hardly anything but a very faint pinch. There was no bleeding. I was on my way no more than 20 minutes later. My piercing is doing well so far! It has been two days.

I cannot share how incredibly happy I am with my experience at Ink Monkey Tattoo & Piercings with their piercer Two Hawks! Just got my bellow button (naval) pierced by two hawks!! This is not my third piercing done by him, the other two were cartilage and tragus. The two on my ear healed so nicely, and he’s great at answering questions and explaining. Naval is feeling good, looks great, can’t say much about the healing yet since it’s only been a day. I highly recommend getting pierced by two hawks, he’s overall dope!! Pierces quick and precise, you’ll have a great experience.

I walked in to Ink Monkey yesterday evening and decided I wanted my belly button pierced Two Hawks was more then helpful when coming to a decision and gave detailed descriptions on each one and what would work best for me. After deciding on the perfect jewelry we went to back he did alignment with pen to be sure I was ok with the spot first and then I lied down he told meTake a deep breath on and honestly I hardly felt a thing. Came for some Friday the 13th deals and got a tattoo by Max. He was super quick pulling it up on the iPad and printing out some sizes and the tattoo itself was quick too. Super professional and always great to see the cool friendly staff in the shop as well.

I came for Friday the 13th to get a fun tattoo to celebrate the day! I’m not superstitious, just a little stitious so it was a good time! Olee was so kind and chill. We had great conversation and she had a very light hand. The tattoo was a beautiful on paper but she made it very personal and intricate on my skin, I was so amazed with her talent. Looking forward to seeing her again 💕

I had a really great experience getting my nose pierced last week here (+ its healing really well). Two Hawks was great, and Im so happy with it. Very clean and professional place! I walked in and was done within 20 minutes.

Had the worst service. Waited over an hour just for the person doing piercings to have a bad attitude and told my partner and I to leave. He had a problem with my partner asking about a board that was under the bench we were sitting. Asked if he could have it and one of the staff there goes to another lady and just starts pointing and being rude, then leaves the building. Then the piercer has an attitude because he asked about the board and somehow we beg kicked out. My partner never cursed at him or disrespected the person. Wasted my damn time

AMAZING work by Juan done on my husband. Clean lines and beautiful shading. I had the pleasure of getting my Medusa done by Two Hawks! He was Fantastic! So fast, couldn’t even feel it. He also spared an extra bar incase my lip swelled, gave me all the information on how to care for it, and made sure it was exactly where I’d like to have it placed. It looks beautiful. Went in on a random Wednesday afternoon, walked in told the lady at the front desk what I wanted. She introduced me to my tattoo artist Shady. I explained what I wanted to him and he showed me quick sketches and drew exactly what i imagined the tattoo would look like. He gave me a very fair price and got it done so fast. It was my first tattoo and I was super nervous but Shady was cool and told me everything would be alright. Super cool guy, knows what he’s doing. Will definitely be going again soon.

We’ve gotten several piercings here over the years. We just took our daughter to get her belly button pierced. Two Hawks did a fantastic job. He was very polite and funny making our daughter feel relaxed. Highly recommend.

Amazing!! On vacation for my birthday and have always wanted a butterfly lower back tattoo. This was my first tattoo. Walked in last week and talked to Max who was incredibly kind and helpful. Called him to push back my appointment because I got nervous and again he was very nice. Had my appointment this morning and everything went great. He gave me a couple different options for the design. Once I picked one out he showed me several sizes and placements. I was super nervous and had to take a break a couple minutes into the tattoo. He was so nice and helpful throughout the entire process and it turned out amazing. Could not recommend him or the shop more!!! Thank you!!!

I go here anytime I need piercings done for myself or my 2 daughters. Two Hawks is awesome. Always comes out perfect. I was there the other day to get my belly button pierced. In and out in 15 minutes and its perfect. It doesnt matter what you need pierced, hell hook you up. 2 sets of snake bites on my daughters, perfect. Always the best. I highly recommend.

I have lived in the neighborhood for a while and always wanted to stop in because it looked so cool. Dropped in after work today to check it out and ended up getting a second cartilage piercing from Two Hawks and a small neck tat from Scoob. Everyone in there was so nice and had great vibes. Very impressed with the attention to detail and clean environment. Not to mention my drop in tattoo was done in like an hour and absolutely perfect! (Also Scoob wasn’t heavy handed so the tattoo process wasn’t painful and was super enjoyable, def a seasoned pro.) Couldn’t have had a better experience. Great atmosphere. I went and got a tattoo with MAX and he was very patient and reasonable. He was also the nicest guy. He help my vision come completely alive and based off of the atmosphere I honestly would have trusted any of the artists that were there. Highly recommend.

I took my daughter recently to get her nose pierced for her birthday at Ink Monkey Tattoo and Piercing and couldn’t be happier with the results! Maksim (Max) is a wonderful tattoo artist! I originally walked into a shop to get a tattoo and loved it so much I came back and requested for him to tattoo my next one. He is extremely skilled and worked with me in advance to make sure it turned out exactly how I wanted it. He is also very friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire experience. The shop itself was exceptionally clean and the rest of the staff were sweet and chatted with me while I got my tattoo. I especially appreciated the encouragement from everyone as the placement I chose was extra painful for me. I will absolutely be back and would highly recommend asking for Max for your next tattoo!

Don’t get pierced here. my friend ended up paying $165 for a botched eyebrow piercing. when the piercer asked him to review the stencil dots, he asked her if she should move them closer into the eyebrow. she told him it was fine. after she pierced it, she didn’t offer him a mirror to look at it all. when he walked out to show me, i literally gasped. the bar was incredibly short, leaving no room for swelling, it was too far to the side, and it wasn’t even pierced through the markings she placed. we immediately went to aesthetic ambition in santa monica where they offered him free service to pierce it again and gave him new, appropriate jewelry.additionally, my fiance and i were looking at the flash tattoo. it felt like both the artists were staring over our shoulder and the overall vibe was off. i ended up leaving without getting a tattoo because of my friend’s piercing outcome.i would not go here again and do not recommend.edit: since you wanted to reply, i added some pictures of the terrible piercing you guys performed on him. he actually did leave a review that you apparently didn’t make public to everyone else!

Two hawk knows his piercings, and when he works with you, you feel his goal is to do the best for your body anatomy while making you happy. and i’ve had my share of shit piercers who pierce just for a sale

Got my first piercing here and I was amazed at out professional, clean and knowledgeable my guy was. The same can be said for the awesome tattoo studio in front. They use needles for piercing here instead of a gun, which I prefer actually. The free care advice is thorough and comprehensive as well.

Today on a whim I decided to change my nose piercing and wasn’t able to do it by myself. I called the studio to check if they would accept a walk in (they do!) and 10 min later I was already signing the simple paperwork required.The experience was lovely, friendly and sweet. My piercer T changed the piece in less than 10 seconds and pain free 🧡 thank you guys, this was a great experience!

I got my first tattoo done here by Olee. She was very nice & quick. I love it. She did a very good job. I will definitely be returning here to get more tattoos done by her.

I had first went here about a year ago, and I had gotten angel fang piercings done by Hawks. They healed very nicely, and were very well placed. I had gotten other piercings done after that, but not at Ink Monkey. These piercings did not stay. The only piercings I kept were my fangs. I decided to go back to Ink Monkey and get my septum pierced. The employees were very welcoming, my septum was done by T this time. She was very quick, efficient, and overall a great person with a lovely attitude. While I was there, I switched out my bars for shorter ones. The cost was very reasonable, and the quality is the best I have ever had. There was hardly any pain when I was pierced. Ill be coming here for any future piercings!

I had been planning a special tribute tattoo for my brothers from another mother for a while. Ive used a few different shops in different parts of the country and my local Venice area one had moved so I decided to try Ink Monkey since its been around a long time and solid revues. I hooked up with Scoob and we discussed my idea. He took on the challenge and agreed he would do some drawings. He sent me what he came up with and he nailed it (it was taking the Van Halen logo and swapping the VH for my friends initials - they are twins with the same initials). We set up an appointment so I could get it done and it would be healed before I saw my buddies next.The tattoo wrapped around my wrist and is complicated because it uses Eddies splattered paint pattern to color it in. Scoob had the drawing down but getting to lay on my (small) wrist was a challenge. But Scoob wasnt going to settle for OK. He stuck with it to make it lay properly and fit with my previous artwork. What should have been a couple hours took longer because of Scoobs dedication to his craft. The artwork and the placement made this a difficult tattoo but Scoob took the time to get it right. My buddies were blown away and Ive gotten tons of compliments.

I’ve got four tattoos here in a little over a month here with Scoob. I’m very happy with all of them. All the staff and ownership are very nice. I usually talk to all the artists and ownership when I’m there and everyone is very cool.

Shady did a great job at bringing my knuckle tattoo to life! The process was very smooth and easy going. We met our time estimate exactly and the best part is the ink came out great! I would visit again if I’m ever in the area

Met Two Hawks after I accidentally swallowed the ball off my tongue bar & needed a replacement. Lovely guy & very accommodating. Felt very comfortable as he replaced my tongue bar. Would revisit whenever I need to in the future.

I asked for a replacement backing for a stud earring I already had for 2 years from a different place, and the piercer intentionally gave me a size up from what I had, even after asking them about why the size was different. I only realized it days later that my ear hurts because they gave me a different gauge than what was already in my ear. I came with a friend that spent $145 on ear piercings and I guess that still wasn’t enough to get fair service.

Scoob, was the best! I went in a few weeks ago for my first tattoo! Scoob was very professional and I received so many compliments on his work! I actually went in yesterday for my second one and once again he did a beautiful job!!My tattoo was the words Bella Vita, which means beautiful life! I highly recommend Scoob for your first tattoo or you 50th!

When into shop really nervous. It was my first tattoo. Shady was very thorough prepping area and when it was time to start he was very gentle. I was expecting a lot of pain but happy to say it was not that bad. When I do decide to get another I will definitely go back and ask for Shady. Btw I love my tattoo

I went in to get a new earring put into my cartilage piercing after I had done some research to find the previous piercer had given me the wrong type. Two Hawks was very informative on how to care for my piercing based on how it was looking/provided a lot of education on cartilage piercings in general. Got my first tattoo done by Max! Everyone here was so kind and welcoming it helped ease my nerves. All areas are clean and tidy. My only complaint would be the music being too loud for me but that’s just my preference. If you have sensory issues where loud noises are a problem bring earplugs! Cause they’re worth it :) as for my tattoo, I felt minimal pain and was done in 30 minutes!! In love with it.

T pierced my conch (I believe it’s called - the side of the ear) and I it hurt less than any other piercing I’ve ever had. It’s been over 24 hours and no pain! I absolutely love it and I can’t believe how seamless the healing has been considering it’s such a thick part of your ear cartilage. Not only that but her energy is so calming and sweet, she is an absolute bubble of joy. And the front desk girl was awesome as well, and the artists hanging out in the back were very cool chill respectful it felt like a very warm welcoming environment and they had MAJOR jewelry selection to top it all off. I will be back next week for my other ear :)

During my visit to Venice Beach from San Bernardino I got brave seeing the shop a block away from my hotel room. I walked in to the shop everyone was friendly and helpful. I made a quick decision to have a dermal implant on my left cheek bone below my eye. My piercer Two Hawks was great not to mention he was absolutely gorgeous. My first piercing in a long time but, I couldnt be happier with the result. I have had no pain, soreness or swelling at the site. Placement was perfect and havent even had any close calls. So big TY to them at the shop yall were great! 💋👍

He worked with me on a design, taking my suggestions and adding his own. I had never gotten a tattoo and always wanted one and knew what i would get, so, a friend recommended this place to me, she didnt, however, tell me he name of a tattoo artist so I walked in on a Sunday afternoon not knowing what artist I would get. The woman at the counter was super nice- I told her I just wanted lettering and she said JD could do it for me. Out comes JD- also super nice, I told him I wanted typewriter font, the quote, and the placement. Long story short- my tattoo came out amazing, the experience was amazing, so much so that I have gotten another tattoo by JD and am going back for a third.

I have 3 tattoos and 2 piercings from this place, I wont go anywhere else. Zack, Doug, JD, Thomas and Luci are true professionals. The line work, shading and piercing technique are 2nd to none. Ive never healed faster or better than by their direction.

Max is an awesome color tatooist who created a scene from the movie Aliens on my arm where Ripley is Protecting Newt. I came here to get my nipples pierced on a whim! I was super nervous as I’m sure most would be! The lady who was at the front was super sweet and grabbed the piercer right away! T was my piercer and let me say she killed it! I let her know I had so many questions and was mainly worried about the aftercare process! She was super helpful in answering all of my questions in detail and helping me feel more comfortable! When it came time for the poke she let me put my AirPods in and close my eyes lol. She also was more than okay with having my best friend in the room with us! It was super quick and not as painful as I thought it was going to be. She did such a great job and I love the piercings I got! I’m not from LA so she gave me her contact info to update her on my healing process and if I have any other questions! The atmosphere in ink monkey was super dope and everyone was very nice! 10/10 recommend coming here. I came to Ink Monkey a fee months ago to get my belly button and helix pierced, and was so impressed with the professionalism and how kind everyone was. So I decided to try coming here for my first ever tattoo as well. Gers was the artist that helped me, and he was absolutely amazing. He was so friendly, which definitely helped with the nerves, and walked me through every step of what he was doing and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I thought I had a horrible pain tolerance, but Gers was so incredibly gentle that there was practically no pain. Shading felt like he was holding the eraser side of a pencil against my skin. Am beyond happy with the results, and definitely plan on coming back for future tats!

He told me that we must make the tattoo bigger when I want a realistic tattoo with details. It means he took care about me and what I want. He also told me some ideas what he had. I felt save, I trusted him because everything looked like his doing his job really seriously.I chosed my design how I want it and up to 10 minutes we could start, i dont had to wait because im in holidays .. really cool.He was tattoing up to 2-3 hours, very fast and than we was finished.And what I can say at the end when I saw the results, its only wow, amazing work, seems that I had the Best Tattooer yesterday ;)grettings to Rey, hope see you again, maybe in a other part of the world and than I will get my second one from You!Finaly thx a lot again for the amaizing tattoo,see ya😌✌️

Just got 4 piercings here. BECAUSE I DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING, one got messed up. The nice lady with the accent took me right back and we got everything fixed. I will 100% come back here for the rest of my piercings. They have fair prices for jewelry and piercing and will tell you if you have the anatomy to do something like an industrial. I got a very large back piece from artist Gerson. It was the best tattoo experience I have ever had. Consultation was smooth, and he was able to design a tattoo exactly to my liking and vision. The tattoo process was a long one, but Gers made it extremely comfortable and easy. Our session was from 10am to 4am the following morning, as it was a massive piece. He made sure I was comfortable on the table and chair, provided food, drinks, and snacks throughout, and overall made the time fly by. If youre looking to get a detailed work of art, I strongly recommend Gerson as an artist.

Tattoo artist refused to tattoo a dog on my hand, and was going to force me out the shop or to get a different tattoo.Tattoo is poorly done, lines were too thin when I asked for thicker lines, and anatomy was horrible, and he traced the reference instead of actually designing a design.It’s poorly done and healed terribly. Was scammed out my money.
