My friends and I went here to get our third lobe piercings and our cartilage! The staff was super nice and helpful. They made us feel so comfortable (and helped to calm me down when I got worked up before the piercing). The attention to detail is unmatched and my friends and I are all extremely satisfied with our piercings. 10/10 recommend going here, especially if traditional tattoo and piercing shops can intimidate you.

Lovely experience, Angie made the experience for my teen daughter so easy! She suggested what earring type is best for her style and comfort. Angie also shared how to take care of it. I brought the notarized form prior to the visit.

Needed someone to re-open or re-pierce my ear lobes. Friend (who has absolutely incredible body art from Beehive) suggested I contact Beehive Tattoos in Venice. OMG. I cannot even remember when I last went somewhere for some “personal services” but I had not been in their studio more than a moment or two and I was certain that they would unquestionably raise the bar of service. I was greeted promptly and openly. Asked how they could help and took me back to an exam room for better evaluation of my piercings. Each step was explained clearly so I was completely aware of every step of re-opening the piercings. Angela had a level of knowledge and experience that was clearly evident. Went to get a new 2nd piercing and Angie was able to open up original hole from 40 years ago. My sisters and niece had theirs done as well. Angie was very great, very informative during the whole process. I would highly recommend The Beehive!

Angie was absolutely the best. Medical precision & attention to detail with sterilization. She took time to line up the piercing. Explained after care and expectations. Was extremely friendly and professional. Used numbing cream, didn’t feel a thing!The shop is very clean and uniquely decorated, lots of interesting things to look at while waiting. Overall couldn’t be happier I found this place. Going back next week for a tattoo!Went back a week later for a tattoo with Sammy! I’ve had several, this was the best! Perfect lines, very light touch. She was working with an intern, she spent lots of time explaining every step to both of us. Was very aware of movement when lining up the tattoo, had me move around with the stencil to see how it would look with different arm movements. As an absolute bonus, entertaining conversation during the tattoo time. Would highly recommend and any time I’m in Florida, this is where I will go for ink!

If you are in the Venice area this is the place to go for a tattoo. The place is spotless, interesting, and you are in a private place during the tattoo not out in the middle of a shop full of people. The staff is friendly and excellent. Most of all Sammy is a true artist. She is professional, she listens to you and is interested in you and what you want. Her work is outstanding. I really liked the fact that she was mentoring a young woman, but never lost focus on her work. Her work exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for kids piercings! I took my daughter here to get her ears pierced, and it was a great experience! Angela took her time to put her at ease and explained everything in detail. With the numbing cream, she did not feel a thing! Angela even got my earrings in for me when I thought they were closed. The boutique is clean and comfortable, and everyone was so helpful. Im sure we will be back!

My best friend I got tattooed by Angie today. BY FAR the best experience I have EVER had getting a tattoo. She was so professional, light handed and provided great conversation throughout the entire process. She talked us through everything and was extremely thorough. She custom made our design and gave us multiple options to choose from and also walked us through the sizing, letting us try different designs printed on paper so we could see what we wanted. The tattoo shop itself is so wonderful, clean, cutely decorated and inviting. I was extremely comfortable through the whole process and could watch TV while she was tattooing me. My tattoo was virtually painless and just an amazing experience. I will definitely be back to get tattooed by Angie! Highly, highly recommend! If you aren’t local to Venice, it is definitely worth the drive for the amazing environment and great artistry!

I got a tattoo here the other day and cannot recommend this shop enough. Everyone was so friendly and the shop itself had a super welcoming and inclusive vibe. They were so committed to having a CLEAN environment and the whole process was so smooth- cheers to Angie for her patience and light touch!! I just visited this adorable shop yesterday for a tattoo. Not only was I greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner by Anthony, but also Maudie, who was absolutely adorable! Angie did my tattoo and when I sent the image in I wanted, I had said it could be tweaked to make it appear more like what I was asking for. I got in that chair and the process was easier than past tattoos. Clean environment and very thorough with the sterilization and cleaning process. I let Angie add her own touches to my design figuring she was looking at it from a different angle than I was and I am NOT disappointed one bit! The aftercare instruction were very detailed and when I decide to get my next piece or art I know I will be contacting them! I am extremely happy with the entire experience of these talented individuals!

I adore Beehive! The staff, including Sammy, Angie, Andrea, and Anthony, are incredibly kind, thorough, and respectful. Sammy did two small finger tattoos for me, covering up even smaller faded tattoos. We had a complimentary consultation where she explained what was possible and what she didnt recommend. To secure my appointment, I made a $100 down payment, which is a shop requirement and goes towards the total cost. On the appointment day, everything went smoothly. Sammy addressed my concerns and made necessary changes. Both tattoos turned out exactly as I wanted them to, and they look lovely! I went in there this morning to have my belly button re pierced.. Angie who is the piercer suggested at first she try to just get the jewelry in, that the hole may not have closed. Long story short… she was very professional, friendly and saved me a lot of money. I would definitely go back for another piercing or a tattoo. The shop is very clean, trendy and inviting. Piercer was a medic in army and really knew her stuff. She used disposable items only so everything was very clean and never reused. Took time to explain everything to my girls. Sanitized earrings in machine. Tip notch piercer. No gun. Needle. Best way to do it.

My best friend and I decided to come for nipple piercings last minute. When we walked in they had the cutest little greeter pup and the boutique was so cute inside. My first thought was The Beehive because I read the great reviews about Angie! And they weren’t wrong! My best friend and I were a little nervous and asking a lot of questions. She explained every single thing and made the whole experience super comfortable. The piercings looks perfect on both of us. Nice and straight. We really enjoyed this experience. I called this studio because I was having a problem. My nose piercing was stuck and I couldnt get it out. The piercer was able to not only get it out but put my new one in & gave me a spare in case it came out. And all of this was free of charge!!! She also suggested new piercings for me as well.I will definitely return in the future for any piercing issues!! Studio was clean & adorable inside & staff & services were top notch!!Definitely 💯 happy 😁

My wife and I stopped into The Beehive on a whim and asked for an impromptu tattoo for each of us - something to commemorate our time at Venice Beach. Sammy and Devin were fully willing to help us out.They helped us pick designs (Im indecisive) and worked with us to get the designs exactly how we wanted them.These were not our first tattoos, and I can honestly say that the shop, the artists, the service and the entire experience as a whole was top notch.The shop was unique and very well put together, the conversations were fun, the finished pieces were exceptional, and we now have memories and a story we can share for years to come.If youre in the Venice area, I highly recommend you stop in and see Sammy and her crew. Highly recommend this business. Angie pierced both of my daughter’s ears. She was very patient, knowledgeable and great with kids. She explained each step to them and the numbing cream worked wonderfully. I couldn’t say enough good things about what a positive experience we had here. I am so thankful we found this shop.

My daughter and I went to get our ears pierced my third on both and her second on hers. This was the best experience ever. Angela was amazing and so wonderful she also helped me find a Cartilage earring that works with my wonky piercing from years ago. Highly recommend. I just visited this unique and adorable shop yesterday for piercing help. This is an awesome place with friendly, welcoming staff and a cutie patootie doggie, Maudie. The vibe is very cool, with good energy.Angie was through, communicative, kind and warm. Very Clean environment.A wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this shop and staff.

Such a warm and inviting place, it was like no other tattoo shop I have been in. The artist Sammy is super talented and with out a doubt super professional and clean. The boutique was really nice lots of pretty local art, I bought a really cool Meg shark tooth necklace for an unbelievable low price ($20) and it’s for a good cause. Over all it was an amazing experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I will with out a doubt be back.

If your looking for a Inviting Atmosphere with Friendly Humans and Good Quality 🔴THIS IS NOT THE PLACE…WARNING ⚠️Everyone’s experience is different.Our Experience was NOT GOOD sadly.We were looking to get a Nose Piercing, looked around at Reviews, heard from other people their experience went pretty ok. We went into the shop to check it out and get any information we needed, during that first visit there were two people there one was tattooing the other greeted us with a-How can we help you-after letting them know what we were there for we then got some paperwork to get filled out, Also needed to get it notarized. We asked when is the best day/time to come back to get the Piercing they said Friday,Saturday & Sunday 12-2, we said Great Thank you. That experience was OK.A week later we planned to go on a Saturday around 1pm so we called (just to be sure we had everything we needed and to be sure it was a good time for us to come) they confirmed we had everything we needed and it was a Great time to come and they would see us then.Saturday day of piercing. We walk in with a smile we said hello (it was quiet no music or nothing so we were definitely heard) to all and no response from anyone, so instantly we are like maybe they are just busy or having a bad day. So they had 3 people working, one working with other people, 2 at the front desk, one lady says-how can we help you-we say we are here for a nose piercing, she instantly says sorry we can’t do it today we are going back and fourth helping out across the street with (I believe, possibly a fundraiser or some thing similar)I then said (calmly, and Nicely) oh gosh, we were told we could come in today and have been communicating the whole time that we would be coming.(later on when getting the piercing the lady said we are having some communication issues because they should have never said you guys could come today or possibly even this weekend.) She then said ok we can make it work. Then we said thank you so much are you sure and that we appreciate it. We went on to fill out more information and turned it in. About 15 minutes later we were called back to get it done. During the piercing, we felt that she was particular in the way she was doing it and we appreciated that! We did try to strike up some conversation, but she didn’t seem very interested in it, which is fine not all people want to do that and that is OK. It just would have been nice.So we had done all the paperwork in the beginning and between the whole process we didn’t realize we had not paid yet. When we finished the piercing we thanked her and let her know We appreciated her doing it, we slowly walked to exit the building, The lady that did the piercing stayed in the room, another lady was working with other people, and the other lady was sitting at the desk as we were walking out. We get in our car and we were actually headed to a restaurant just across the street. We get out to walk into the restaurant and as we are walking down the sidewalk, Two of the ladies came out and screamed HEY COME PAY NOW…(she did it in a tone and with facial expressions that came off very RUDE and HARSH) we said back to her. Oh my gosh we didn’t realize we didn’t pay yet so sorry! She continue to point her finger and yell come here now, I don’t care come here now etc…I said back to her do not talk to me that way it was an INNOCENT MISTAKE. She continue to talk in that tone as we were walking our way back over there.(there is no reason for her to treat us. That way she had all the information she needed from us to contact us, we had no problem with paying, we felt horrible. We had not realized we didn’t. We would have went there in a heartbeat to make sure we paid our dues rather, they realized it or not. We are not a family who would do something like that) as we paid they just continued to be rude.We don’t believe they are deserving of good people’s business, which really sucks for all parties involved because they lose out on business, and I will be going elsewhere for tattoos and piercings.

This place is awesome! The boutique is classy with lots of character. The staff are wonderful. Love that its woman owned and women employed. They are knowledgeable and skilled. Devon did my daughters (16) first tattoo and she did a wonderful job. Though small and simple, Devon was very particular about placement, the overall quality and the experience. She put as much effort into it as if she was doing something huge and elaborate. I also really like the gal that does peircings...Brandy I think it is...you can tell shes an industry expert just talking to her. She is very knowledgeable, helpful, intentional and friendly. We will continue to go here. Oh and they have peircing jewelry too which is hard to find.

Sammy is the best hands down!! She took my vision and brought it to life. I am working on a coverup on my forearm. We have big plans on doing a full sleeve. I will not let any one else tattoo myself. I’ve been to many different tattoo shops, but none quite as unique as this one. You are immediately greated with a smiling face and sweetest little dog! The shop is also a boutique that supports local artists and shark teeth hunters (no idea what that’s called). Very cool items, for very fair prices.Owner/artist, Sammy burns, was able to fit me in last minute for a piece I had been wanting for a while. Initial communication with her was very easy, as most places take a long time to respond. She sits with you to make sure the design you want is perfect and you’re 100 percent happy with the placement. Sammy has the ability to flawlessly translate your vision into extraordinary pieces of art. Check out any photos on her website or social media… her work speaks for itself. Her fun, eclectic, and charismatic ways don’t go unnoticed either. A 5 hour tattoo that is typically agonizing was fun. Sammy provides an experience, not just getting a tatoo. Angela was very friendly and personable from the moment we got there, as well as very informative and patient throughout the entire duration of us being there! She walked us both through each step and told us that she could stop for a break as many times as we needed. Not only did Angela do amazing on the helix piercing I initially went in for, she also re-pierced my tragus for free that was done incorrectly by another piercer, which caused it to be closed up on one half while being healed in the other. Overall, Angela provided the best piercing experience I have had yet and I will absolutely be going back to her for all future piercings! I got a tattoo done here as a birthday gift to myself last year, the tattoo took an extremely long time to get done even though it was a simple design, she got up several times during the process to do other stuff. After several miserable hours in that chair, the tattoo looked awful, and nothing like the images I was shown and approved at the beginning of my appointment. I felt like i was way over charged for such awful work.. Im currently in the process of trying to have it covered up or fixed somehow if that is even possible with the bold black lines she put on it.. I should have done more research on the artists before deciding to go to this place. I see other people have had good experiences, I unfortunately did not.

I walked in about a month ago spoke with Angie and was very impressed. Very knowledgeable and helped my with my nose ring. I scheduled a consult with Sammy. Had my consult and was very happy with how my consult went. Today was my 2nd consult(getting an Alice in Wonderland themed huge piece that I told her Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock acid trip). We’re doing 1 more consult since it’s a big piece to make sure it’s nailed with my 1st session scheduled. Im super excited about this tattoo. Also at the apt Angie will be re piercing my ear.Both have great souls that I’m very happy I walked in on a whim to see.

It was a great vibe from the second we walked in the door having the cutest dog great us to everyone we came in contact with. The shop is homie and clean. I came in for a nose piercing. First time visiting a tattoo parlor. The shop was very clean and inviting. The owners/operators were very pleasant and seemed very knowledgeable about their craft.

Owner is super sweet and talented; the studio is amazing! The vibe is so cool, so different than most tattoo shops.
