Ventura Tattoo & Piercing

I had My bellybutton pierced yesterday by Christina- now I’ve had it done before and it got stretched out after I had my son- Christinas professional opinion of placement and jewelry style was ON POINT!! She was amazing! Her bedside manners are so comforting and has such a gentle hand! I didn’t feel a thing and it was so quick! Took less than 15 seconds and we were done! If you are thinking about getting a piercing I HIGHLY recommend her!!!! Thanks so much girl!!!!

I got a couple piercings. Went fine, piercer was very friendly and efficient. Price was solid, better than most places.Couple days later the jewelry was not long enough for the swelling so I tried to contact the original piercer, but she wasnt available for a week. Went in, different person, but handled it pretty quick. Changed the jewelry (I dont like it much,but it was the what they had) and then charged me almost as much as what it cost to get it pierced in the first place. I did not got any kind of special fancy jewelry. I would not have needed it if the original jewelry was long enough. I cant say I would recommend for piercing.

Danny and Bobby did an amazing job co-designing our sister gnome tattoos. It started out with Pinterest screen shots of different features of gnomes that we liked. With those sample ideas they put together this little dude! We love the individually we got from having different artists and appreciate the similarities. The artists were great to work with through the design process and really listed to our comments. The facility atmosphere is exactly what youd expect for a tattoo shop. Hard core metal playing and everyone just in their zone doing what they love. I highly recommend working with either Danny or Bobby for your next tattoo!

I came in to get my nipples pierced with Christina. She was extremely professional and made me feel so good and confident about my nipples being pierced. I was so nervous but one the first one was done it was smooth sailing from there. I highly Recommend her for all your piercing needs

We came in with a group of five, all wanting to get floral pieces in different styles - Danny and Gia gave us really stunning pieces in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable price. I had Danny, as did three others. He was kind, the right amount of talkative, and has a fairly light touch. Hes very attentive to the line work, which resulted in a beautiful piece (with the purple and orangey yellow flowers). Gia did my partners tattoo (the violet), and my partner said she was gentle and efficient. Well probably come back the next time were in town!

Whoever I talked to online four years back was EXTREMELY rude with their responses. I asked their pricing, and when they said itd be between $94-$140 for just the most basic of ear piercings, I said I had heard it ranges between $25-$60. I wasnt being condescending, but they got very nasty immediately.This is a direct copy and paste:yea, ask them what kind of jewlery they use, at that price they are using substandard material to implant a fistula in your tissue. that said feel free to check us out after the fact to fix your 25$ piercing.Nice way to sell your business by being rude to a potential customer AND bashing other tattoo businesses. I went to another tattoo business, got both of my ears pierced for $40 from NICE people, and guess what? My ears didnt fall off. They are healthy years later from the same piercings. They used stainless steel and thoroughly sanitized while working. Ventura Tattoo isnt deserving of your time or money.

They have helped me get my nose repierced and also took out my septum piercing for me. Very quick and painless! Thank you!

Went to Jessie for a triple helix piercing. I haven’t been pierced in over ten years and a little nervous. She was professional, ON TIME, and friendly. Lots of options for jewelry at Ventura Tattoo. Very happy with my experience. Will be back for more!

Best tattoo I have to date and it was done by Danny.... Awesome guy and awesome work. Everyone else in the shop very friendly and the apprentices kept watching to learn..... If I lived in the area Danny would be my go to tattoo guy every time.... Olivia did my wifes tattoo and her sisters and they also turned out phenomenal no complaints if I am back in Cali they would be where I go....

Got a second tattoo after 24 years and Rob Hill was a class act! My sister and I were getting matching sister tattoos. We shared inspo and he drew up the art! He was extremely kind and amicable… I also appreciated his attention to detail and cleanliness. Nick was also extremely helpful and had great energy. We will def be back!

So I was pretty nervous to get my first legit ear piercing, having had only one pierced as a kid. I had planned to go to the mall and let some teenager use a piercing gun on me again, but a friend talked me into seeing a certified professional instead. Once I had read how much better it would be, we headed over to see Krystal. She made us feel welcome and was really nice. She took her time to explain the process, what I would experience, and what I could expect for the next few weeks. When it actually came time for the piercing part, I was pretty nervous. She let my friend come back with us and showed me the materials she would use, then it was time. It all only took a few seconds and I barely felt a thing. Krystal gave me cleansing instructions for the next few weeks and I have had no infection or yuckiness. Everything has been great! Thanks so much for everything, Crystal!

Jessie was my piercer and she was GREAT!! I had some complications with my anatomy and the equipmentbut Jessie walked me through every step and was SO kind to me. She always made sure i was safe and comfortable. Eventually we made it work and Im so grateful that she helped me look and feel more like my authentic self. 100% will be coming back! :D

I love this studio! this is my go-to place for piercings, and the tattoo artists are super chill and nice. Jessi is the best piercer, they are so nice and calm,, and their skills are awesome! always a straight and effective piercing. Jessi is also very funny which always lightens the mood when youre stressed about a new piercing. will most definitely always go here for piercings while in Ventura. Love you Jessi!!

Larkin is a tattoo God! Im sold for life! Ive been getting tattooed for 8 years and he is by far the professional and detailed oriented artist Ive ever had. I was getting a fairly large tattoo covered as well as some scars but you cant tell all looking at this masterpiece. Not only is it amazing, its an original piece of work which makes it a million times more special.

Jessie is awesome! Piercing was very professional, clean sterile environment, fair pricing, and fun experience!

I went in to get an industrial bar ear piercing. And just to preface I do understand that this is the hardest piercing to do. My piercer I want to say her name was Jessie, she was super nice and gentle, but she messed up the piercing pretty bad, and my ear never healed, and I developed huge keloids because the piercing was incorrectly placed. Like two months later the bar fell out of my ear so I went back into the shop and asked them to put it back in and they even said themselves who did this because it was done poorly I said you guys lol but anyways they helped clean up my ear, but they had to take out the piercing so they replaced it with two little cheap earrings and I would think because they messed up my ear and I also paid nearly $200 for my industrial bar piercing the little cheap earrings would be free but they still charged me around $40 for that. They’re all nice people but I was just super disappointed especially because they said I could never get an industrial bar piercing on the ear I wanted it anymore. And it left a scar on my ear too. (I am not a Karen I am just explaining my experience, I was also very compliant and didn’t complain)

I’ve had a few piercings here over the years. My most recent piercing was a helix by Jessie. I felt so comfortable and was so nervous after a bad experience elsewhere. They really cared that I liked the placement and that I was comfortable. Will 100% be getting every piercing with them!

Called them up for a mild emergency reapplication of second skin for my new tattoo (done elsewhere). They were totally cool and professional and got my precious ink cleaned and re-covered for a small charge— even gave a tip, they saved my butt! Nice folks to boot. Give them a shot!

Saw Jessie as my piercer and she was so informational and great at what she does! I went in anxious and she talked me through the process and left in love with my new piercing. 10/10 would recommend and go to her again!

Not only were the piercings the lowest price Ive ever paid, but the artists are super friendly and knowledgeable. We had Jessie and Krystal and they both knew exactly what they were doing and provided suggestions on what was BEST for each of us. I would and WILL be definitely coming back here!!

I walked in with what I wanted and they did exactly that with their own twist! Olivia did my best friends first tattoo and was so patient with her! Ian jumped right in and helped with mine after three of us needing the same tattoo done with no issue! So friendly and they didn’t feel as if they just wanted to get us in and out!

Rob took very good care of me and made sure to review instructions with me, as well as repeat them when I asked. I was worried the tattoo was going to take 5+ hours but he got it done in three!The lines he did were very clean and he was very precise about his work. He also was not annoyed when I needed a break (or if he was, he was very good at hiding it). Would definitely recommend if you were thinking about getting a tattoo here!

Jessie did an amazing job on my conch piercing. They were ready for me when I showed up and the place was clean and fun. Very chill environment, professional and quick, answered all my questions and made me feel safe and welcome. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back.

Very helpful!! Both the piercer and staff were very nice. The piercer helped me remove my stubborn belly button piercing which was made with a cheap piece of jewelry and became infected. They gave me step by step instructions on how to take care of it and worked very late, past 10:00 in order to take care of me. I feel very passionately about Ventura piercings, Its much better than JDs Tattoos and Piercing Pagoda who are apparently too good to pick up the phone during open hours. They also had amazing customer service, I recommend to everyone.

I brought in my own design as an expansion to an existing piece I have. Danny did a wonderful job on my tattoo and was very nice and easy to get along with. I got my nose piercing done in December and recently went in to get it changed. Krystal and Jessie changed it for me, they were really nice and did a good job assisting me. Definitely going back for future piercings :)

Melissa did my belly button. She was very informative and super sweet. She walked me through the entire process and answered my questions. She was fast and I hardly felt pain. She was also super helpful when I was between jewelry, she helped me pick based on my skin tone recommended something that would pop im so happy with my piercing. Ill be going back and recommending friends and family to her.

Got my first tattoo today from Danny as a walk in and I couldn’t be happier. Knowing it was my first tattoo he let me watch him set up and made sure I was very comfortable. He altered the design for me a few times and had me triple check it making sure I was happy with the final product. He was very personable and the experience was overall very enjoyable. Would 100% come back and get tattooed here again. Thank you!

I received a crooked tattoo from them. But that can be fixed. I have to pay another parlor to fix it. But they said they could change the shape slightly to make it look more straight.What can’t be fixed is the dishonesty.They took my drivers license to make a photo copy of it. But did not give it back. A few hours after the tattoo they called and said they still had the license. I was about two hours north retuning to the Bay Area where I live.They said they would send my license. They never did. After a few weeks of calling and them saying they hadn’t sent it, but would send it; they finally said they sent it. I waited a few weeks it never arrived.They insisted they sent it, repeatedly insisted. Even feigning outrage that I was “bothering them”.I contacted the postal inspector and filed a missing mail investigation request.A few days later the post office contacted me to inform me no mail was sent from any zip code in Ventura to my address in at least the previous six months.Ventura Tattoo and Piercing lied. They never sent the damn license.Worse; nobody at the tattoo parlor feels any responsibility for any customer issues. They are all independent workers so if there is an issue it is not any of their problem. Even the owner does not give a damn if one of the artists screws over a customer.Wonky, inconsistent tattoo work, zero professionalism.Don’t go there.

Danny and Rob hooked it up with some awesome pineapples =) we were walk ins, but it was still pretty early morning so they werent busy. Cool environment, nice guys. Professional and likable. Great line work. Shop minimum is $80. OVERALL GREAT PLACE, GREAT TATTOOS, GREAT PEOPLE. would recommend 10/10

Mo was my tattoo artist for my very first tattoo. He made me feel like it was not going to be as bad as I thought. He made sure I knew how to clean and care for it when I was done. He has super clean lines and really good pricing! Overall very relaxing and mellow experience. Would absolutely reccomend!!

Great work done very professionally at a fair price.Came here to get a custom piece drawn up and laid down and was pretty stoked on how it all worked out. The art was extremely well done for a custom piece with the few guidelines I gave. Rob laid down the outline in a few hours and filled it in with another 6 hour follow up session which was freaking rough for me...but thats the nature of tattoos. Overall a great result. I will come back if I get more work done.

I wasnt a customer, I just went there to get a second opinion on my botched septum piercing. A nice man there gave me the second opinion I needed and was very helpful as well as professional. I could tell he knew exactly what he was talking about. If it was not for the fact Im moving away and my septum needs more time to heal, I would have asked him to re-pierce it for me in a heartbeat!

I don’t usually leave reviews but after having my appointment pushed back almost a week, i went in ready to finally have my septum pierced. i sit down ready to go but when the needle is already through my nose, the piercer says that the piercing won’t fit. she then tries to get a smaller piercing through but isn’t able to. she then tried to just put the ring through manually and couldn’t do that. she then asked if i would just be able to come back when it healed and try again but i declined. i felt bad for her because i could tell that she was upset about it and luckily gave my money back. maybe it was just a bad day but i don’t think i’m going to come back.

There is not another person or place in town that I will ever go to to get a tattoo beside there. Rob Hill is legit! He captured my vision for my tattoo and it looks AMAZING! The atmosphere is awesome and everybody is very nice. The group made us feel welcome. I will not go any where else now.

I went in to get my tongue pierced, not only was the piercing crooked but the bottom wasnt even centered and that is where you start the piercing so I dont know how he could mess that up. He was also shaking which made me nervous... Ive had my tongue pierced before and I didnt even feel it the first time. Boy did I feel it this time he was very slow with the needle and I feel like he made two different angled holes in my tongue because of the way it hurt. Waist of $70!

This was such a horrible experience. My artist didnt listen to what I wanted at all, I told her that needed to be somewhere in four hours (including travel time), which she said was completely doable and she would be able to complete the tattoo with plenty of time to spare. I wasnt asking for anything complicated or large. my tattoo that I wanted was about 3 inches by 5 inches big. She took over an hour to sketch out the extremely simple design, another half hour as a break to eat, and an entire hour to actually tattoo the design on my hip. I didnt ask for shading, and she shaded the entire piece, while also talking to her coworkers as if we werent in a rush by the time I was actually on the table. After the whole ordeal it was obvious that we were trying to leave, and she continued to talk slowly and as if we had all the time in the world. She then took three pictures on theee different phones, and had to go get her phone from the back, AFTER taking pictures on MY and my friends phone so we could send them to her. She very kindly gave me an aqua fore packet, but that was the extent of her seeming to care about my time. Her name was corina cline. Do NOT get a tattoo from her unless youre ok with her making decisions about the tattoo youre getting for you. VERY unsatisfied and late to the show.

Went to get a quick small tattoo of a lined dog, the staff was really nice and the artist was beyond halarious!! Even though he said he wasnt feeling too well he still took me in and did an incredible job. Highly recommended this place!!

I’ve try to go there twice and they didn’t want to help I think there racist cause there so nice to the white people they help them right away but I went there once a few years ago they supposedly didn’t have piercing person and then today we asked about another piercing and they didn’t care to help so went to famous tattoo go to famous tattoo cause they don’t want to help people of color I don’t recommend this place at all go to famous two white girls went in there too and the guy was so nice to those girls

I typically dont write reviews but after my wonderful experience it felt very much needed.Ive been planning on getting a helix piercing for about 2ish years now. and now that i turned 18 i was able to do it. (i was able to when i was 16 but too scared). i was suggested to go to Ventura tattoo by my boyfriends dad who used to work there. and any professional would know that going to a tattoo shop is far better than claires since there are many horror stories over Claires helix piercings or just piercings with a gun in general.i was a walk in and was welcomed in my two ladies , Krystal and Maiya, who were so nice and comforting since the idea of a piercing was quite a scary painful idea. but they really made it very amazing, comforting , and memorable! they both were very clean and professional with my piercing and were very clear on what was going on so i wasnt left in the dark. they also have an amazing selection of earrings. the earring i got was very cute and matched my other 2 earrings. truly if you are looking to get any piercings, i suggest going here and asking for them!

I moved to Ventura about ten months ago and had really been wanting to get some new tattoos but didnt know any of the places, so I did some research, went to a couple of shops, and finally decided on Ventura Tattoo because of how clean and professional everything looked. Great artists and great prices as well.

Good people! Amy and Rob organized and threw a charity event for my son who needs a heart transplant free of charge, youre in good hands with these folks!

Initially I liked this place, however went back last month for replacement jewelry and service was not like before and received the wrong jewelry 2xs in the same day.

When my friend and I came, we were completely ignored by the staff. We would have spent a lot of money too. Although they seem to do great work, we took our business elsewhere.

I got my very first tattoo here, done by Ian,and it came out amazing. Great price too!
