Love HVT! I’ve been here twice and is my go to for tattoos. Carolina is amazing and very kind just like the rest of the staff- the establishment is very clean!

I’m a local upcoming artist who got my stencil paper wet by accident.I ordered new paper but had a tattoo scheduled today. I kindly walked in this shop and asked to buy a few sheets of stencil paper.So the girls at the front desk walks back and asks a buff rated guy comes back and says we can’t do that we’re not a supplier and I get I guess. You’re a shop.. but come on dude you can’t help someone out with a sheet of paper.I mean I wasn’t asking for the whole setup like quite literally a sheet of paper and not for free.Thanks for helping out your community buddy. Really says a lot about you bro

So my story is that I have been following HVT on IG for 7 years after admiring a tattoo on a strangers arm! All the work on IG is exceptional. I live 100 miles from HVT but finally called to make my apointment when I found a tattoo that was done by Adam Machin. I requested an apointment with him and sent an email of the tattoo I admired and some other ideas. He answered back that he would have something ready for me when I came. On the day of the tattoo Adam showed me what he drew up but it was not quite what I was looking for . He then proceeded to redraw everything with me there and with my input. He also did some free hand drawing on me. My tattoo came out AMAZING !!!! HIGHLY recommend HVT and Adam. The place was immaculate and the staff so very friendly and accommodating !!! Well worth my wait and the trip!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Got my first tattoo here with Taka Cooper. Guy is amazing. Very fast worker, great conversationalist, and truly skilled artist. A unique style of work as well. Place is also a very clean, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere.

Talented staff who are fair with their pricing. A professional support staff. Very clean, with an open layout. Friendly atmosphere without it being a locals hangout spot. The perfect shop for a long time collector or someone getting their first piece. Music selection is very good, adding to the low stress vibe.

I am a regular here. The shop is very clean, and welcoming. This shop is full of talented artists. I recommend everyone to come here, and am often stopped by others to ask who does my tattoos. I see Max Shoberg who is incredibly kind, attentive, and does excellent tattoo work. I cant recommend this shop and tattooist enough.

I have been tattooed here several times, and after being extremely satisfied with several tattoos, I decided to finish the bottom of a wrap around arm sleeve started in 2018 by another artist.Nelson Sosa is the artist I chose for my tattoos, and he has been consistent, kind, and always delivers excellent custom results that look beautiful right after being finished and also healed. He stands by his work and I trust his creativity and talent. He is matching the colors with the previous tattoo and making everything come together. I am really happy!All of the shop staff is also very super friendly, and shop itself is impeccably clean and has a great aesthetic & atmosphere. Bottom line it is well worth a wait, worth your time and $. Thanks HVTC & Nelson!

First time getting work done at HVT, and can say hands down one of the best shops I’ve ever been tattooed in. From the very start of first getting in touch with Geddes to booking the appointment couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Geddes I’ll say it again your line work is top notch thanks again can’t wait to book the next one.

HV Tattoo was clean and professional and I appreciated their reminders via email/texts. I highly recommend Geddes who did amazing artwork after I gave him a simple line drawing of my ideas. Beautiful work and fun to talk with while my daughter and I got our new tattoos! Very happy with my newest tattoo and already planning my next with Geddes!

Incredible tattoo shop. The most professional and respected one I’ve ever been to. I got one piece done by Jason and the entire staff including him were nothing short from the best. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Went here for my first tattoo and all of my nerves were eased! So professional, clean, kind, gentle, understanding and not pushy at all but rather very helpful. I knew that I was in good hands and felt so comfortable. Although mine was small, the work was just how I always envisioned it. I went to Jason Carpino and have absolutely zero complaints. Very accommodating and made my birthday so special. 10/10 would go again.

Highly recommend Hudson Valley Tattoo. Everyone was really attentive and caring with great communication. Love that they offered water when I got there and a little care package with stickers and a lollipop afterwards with care instructions. Shop was clean and the artists are friendly and created a fun and open environment. I felt safe and comfortable. They accommodated me changing my idea and date over a long period of time and I’m happy with my tattoo. Will definitely be back!

Every time Ive gone to Hudson Valley Tattoo, I have never been disappointed. The shop is clean, the staff is super accommodating, and the work they produce is not something you want to miss. Every client comes out of that shop with something completely unique to them and each artist devotes so much of themselves into their work that truly you walk away with a masterpiece every time. They are always booked so you must accept the fact that you will wait several months for a tattoo, however...you will keep wanting to come back after the experience you have there. Special shout-out to Hiten Damodar if you are wanting anything fine line, anime or gaming. He truly listens to the needs of the client and produces very clean lines and shading. Not to mention he is also very nice to talk to and knowledgeable of many different topics. It is always a pleasure working with him.

I would like to say they have professional tattoo artists. The quality of the tattoo was excellent. Adam is amazing I really love his work he really did amazing work cover up. I would like to thank the owner for caring about his customers and the staff was so welcoming and cool. I will definitely refer people and just getting started on some of the work I want done. This shop provides an incredible service and high quality experience. I had a large hip piece completed by Jason that took four 6 hour sessions, and every session I was welcomed back warmly by the staff. Not only did Jason do INCREDIBLE work and provide a comfortable experience and great conversation, but the entire staff shared excitement over my new tattoo which made the experience even more special. Throughout the sessions, other artists would come look at the work I was having done and make encouraging comments. The shop is extremely clean and well managed. Each artist has a unique and clean-cut style that ensures the shop will have a capable artist on hand for any piece a customer desires. It was so nice to meet the staff and I have recommended the shop to everyone I know. I look forward to coming back for more work in the future.

Ive had experiences with several tattoo shops over the years and have spent approximately 15 hours getting work done by Diego over the last few months. The shop is open, creative and inviting. All the artists work is of superior quality and each has their own specialties. They are friendly, funny and professional. They really know what they are doing, provide excellent customer service and give back to their community. Smart and very talented group of artists and business people.

I had my tattoo done yesterday by Begley. I was blown away by his work and how comfortable I was being in the shop. Everyone is so friendly and seeing other artists supporting other artist was great to see. It’s a team\family environment that makes anyone feel at home. Sometimes when you walk into shops you feel intimidated but here it was so relaxing and so fun. Thank you guys so much for your work! Amazing. 10/10 Recommend!

Absolutely amazing! Very impressed with how friendly they are. Everyone there has an amazing personality. Very easy to work with and book appointments. They do phenomenal work as well. I don’t think my tattoo could have come out any better then it did. Definitely the place I will be going to from now on.

I went to Hudson Valley Tattoo Co for my first tattoo last year in August. Everyone was so nice there Nick was at the front desk. He greeted me with a smile and was very patient and thorough. When it came to the day of the tattoo I was greeted again and felt very comfortable. The place was very clean and professional. Julian was my artist and was very patient with me and my nervousness of my first tattoo, questions, and finding the perfect placement. During the tattoo Julian was again patient with my questions and was very informational and wasn’t heavy handed at all. After it was over he talked me over the aftercare instructions and gave me the easy to follow list. One thing I would say is later on friends and family did say it was slightly overpriced but I find it was worth it. It’s almost been a year and my tattoo has healed perfectly. I plan on returning and recommend others to do so.

I feel so lucky to live in a town where a shop like this exists. HVTC is hands down the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. More than anything, the artists here are on another level in terms of talent. I have never seen a single bad piece come out of this shop. The shop is clean and the staff is down to earth and friendly. Do yourself a favor and go here!

Although I was here for a short amount of time, I still had a great experience and would 100% recommend to anyone. Rick did my tattoo (my first) and he was super knowledgeable, talented, and calming. He helped me decide on my placement and was very patient even when I had him stencil it out a bunch of times. Was not too expensive and it looks amazing. Really glad I came here for my first tattoo!

I’ll be honest. Talented artist work here but after being tatted for so many years and trying many different shops out I much rather go somewhere with a friendly atmosphere and down to earth artist. Vibes in there are weird/not beginner friendly/egotistical/high school vibes lol. MUCH better shops in the area with humble artist if you keep looking. Best of luck 👍🏽

Love everything there is about HVT. Im finishing up my 2nd full color Japanese traditional arm sleeve with Diego Martin. I have a 2 hour drive each way for my 4hr appointments, its absolutely worth second of it.

I have gotten 2 tattoos from HVTTC, along with my wife getting 3 from them. Very professional and courteous. We will definitely be returning for more.Edit: as I stated 4 months ago that I would be returning, I did and had a tattoo done by Armando. Still very pleased with their work and cleanliness. This group is AMAZING! They were so accommodating with a time crunch and put forth a lot of effort to help customers from out of town. Krystal, the manager, went above and beyond to help us and squeeze us in, and our artist Jason Carpino was wonderful and so talented. The Hudson Valley Tattoo Company is absolutely the best shop in the Hudson Valley. They have done 5 tattoos for me over the last few years. Each one a great experience. Taka has taken my ideas and given me awesome tattoos exactly what I wanted.The new shop is a perfect place to chill and get a great tattoo. 10/10 recommend to everyone!

Shish is currently working on a full sleeve on my left arm, and after 5 long sessions I cannot be happier with the work and his professionalism during the process. The shop is always clean and very welcoming. Bathrooms and waiting area are all well maintained and the artwork and interior design is fantastic. I also love how open the tattooing area is and wish more shops adopted this layout. Its much more communal and less cubicle feeling, which is really welcoming when you are laying in one spot for a few hours. The shop also gets a ton of natural light which really contributes to the overall aesthetic of the shop. I would highly recommend these guys if you are looking to get any kind of work done. I live in Brooklyn, and have been gladly making the 90 minute trip up. Theres a ton of beautiful hikes and activities in the Hudson Valley, so make be sure to check out the local sights before or after you get tattooed.

This shop is a dream come true. I was completely stoked when I received the news about that both my tattoo artist were teaming up and made the decision to open Hudson Valley Tattoo Co. This shop is absolutely gorgeous, its clean, inviting, efficient, well priced, and the staffs not bad to look at either. I have been getting tattooed by Diego since I randomly found him in 2006 and basically never left; love every single portrait and piece of work from him on my body. He is truly an amazing artist and a good friend. I have also been getting tattooed by Shish since 2007 and love every piece of work he has contributed to my ever growing collection. I have yet to have the honors of being tattooed by Jason or Greg (minus my little friendship tattoo, he did that I adore), but i cannot wait to be under the machine with them. The ladies holding down the front desk Erica & Whitney are by far the cutest/sweetest/well accommodating people I have ever meet, they make the experience of going to the shop magical. I love that this shop also has so many guest artist from all over giving this area the opportunity to get tattooed by talented artist from different areas. I look forward to their many years of them having success and cannot wait to see what other works of art will be coming out of this shop. I say they are the best shop in the area, but you dont have to listen to me their work speaks for itself.

Took my wife to talk about a new tattoo for the both of us. As soon as you walk in youre greeted. Nick spoke with us and had my wife speak with Taka and had me speak with Orin. What a great experience. We both have multiple pieces from many shops, but this shop is so clean and the staff are so great. I think we found our new tattoo studio. I happened upon these guys after trying to book a walk in all over wappingers/Poughkeepsie, over two years ago, I’m so glad they were the place I found. I have since finished up some small tattoos and a full sleeve with Mike. I couldn’t be More pleased with how amazing it looks! I wouldn’t recommend any other shop. They are entirely professional, everyone is super friendly, they go out of their way make you feel welcome and the work is GORGEOUS! Some seriously talented artists.I felt totally comfortable going in after they reopened after Covid shut downs, as they took every precaution possible to keep staff and customers safe! I travel over an hour to them and I will never get tattooed anywhere else! Well worth the price and travel time. If I could give them more stars I would!

Got a tattoo done by Taka in July 2020 and the experience was great! I went in to schedule an appointment in June and ended up being able to get in sooner than I thought I would. The shop was clean and followed covid precautions. Taka took time to explore what I was looking for, then got busy sketching it out right where I wanted the tattoo, with a sharpie marker!! He was friendly and engaging throughout my time there. I love knowing that mine is truly one of a kind (no stencil involved) and cant wait for my next one.

This place is incredible!I live in the east village, NYC with plenty of tattoo shops at my doorstep but chose to head upstate to have my tattoo updated and added onto. From start to end HVTC was professional and fun to work with. The shop is spotless and everyone is super friendly and so talented. My artist Taka is an incredible creative with great energy and focus. I love my new tattoo!! The detail, shading, placement, movement and color is top notch. Im recommending him to everyone. This place is a MUST for anyone wanting to get their body not simply inked with cookie cutter stencil tattoos but adorned with ART!

Been coming here since they had the old location. Man, the new one is so stellar. Beautifully laid out and private. Recently had some work done by Hiten and his attention to detail and realism is 10/10. I emailed him a picture as a reference of what I wanted and the location I wanted it done and he designed something that not only fit perfect on my arm but fully exceeded my expectations (and then some) design / color wise. Seriously cant recommend him enough. Not only that but all the staff here are the friendliest people in the world and if its your first time theyll strike up a convo and make it feel like youve been a repeat client for several years.On the flip - a minor thing that was a slight inconvenience was that I got suddenly re-scheduled for my 2nd appointment. No biggie at all, stuff happens. Totally get it. But they re-scheduled me on Fathers Day and didnt let me know that day was a holiday when I initially spoke with the front desk. I only realized this later and called to re-schedule again. Again, very minor. But with the recent price increase full transparency on a subject like that would have been appreciated.I have been wanting to get some work done from Max for years and I will be back when I got some more $!

Incredibly professional, clean, and honest. Everyone who works there is also super nice and wants to make sure youre taken care of. From the first interaction making my appointment to the actual date I felt I was in the best hands. My artist Rick did a retouch on a super old tatt then did some brand new work on the fly that was gorgeous. Will def be coming back.

I travelled upstate to visit HVTC for Max as he moved here a while ago. He’s done my other 2 tattoos so I felt it was only fitting to visit him in his new space and get tattoo no. 3. He’s a stand up guy who works incredibly hard on his craft. He knew how to translate my thoughts and inspiration into art. After 2 session I came away with an incredible thigh piece. No joke, it’s amazing. He went above and beyond and I really appreciate it!HVTC itself was super inviting and professional. Everybody working there was fun and there was a lot great banter between everyone. The whole place just had a light, fun and positive energy about it. Would highly recommend HVTC to anyone!

I went to Hudson Valley Tattoo to finish a sleeve that also needed a coverup. The artist Taka is incredible. I’m really happy with the piece, the place was spotless and the vibe was really chill. I came in to get a tattoo with a friend of mine to accompany me. I had Shish and he was awesome, for my first tattoo he was very attentive on my needs and wants and had suggestions that I had never thought of. I came here because of all the rave reviews from people I ran into at work, and google reviews, and it was INCREDIBLY worth it. Because it was a small tattoo I even got a $50 gift card from Shish- totally cool shop. 10/10 recommend. I will be back.

The core group of artists are indescribably phenomenal at their craft, with each artist having a taste for something a little different. Do not be afraid to bring your ideas to any member of this team, because thats what they are; a TEAM. Each artist is not afraid to admit that someone else might be better suited for what youre looking for, which always always always allows the client to get the best tattoo possible. Both myself and my girlfriend have been tattooed at this shop, and will continue to.Sanitation and Sterilization is of the utmost importantance here and it shows.Good music, good vibes, and good laughs makes sitting for a long session so much better.I seriously cant recommend these guys enough. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I couldnt stop laughing during my entire session - the pain was pretty nonexistent because of the high level of comfort and amusement from Shish and the other artists. My experience at HVTC was great. I went in to price out a tat i liked the price but was to late to start it. So i ended up getting a different one and will be going back for the original tattoo i want. I only have 3 tats, the one Taka did that night is by far my favorite. Cant wait to go back.

Shish is the man. Nicest guy, keeps you laughing while youre dealing with the horrible pain that is tattooing. Ive been seeing him for 5 or so years to get my sleeve done. Every piece is beautiful and he has a gentle touch (not to say it doesnt still hurt... but it hurts less...!) His work is so intricate and beautiful and its always been a pleasure to see him.

Worst customer service ever. I emailed a photo of my tattoo idea as per their request. They said theyd love to do my tattoo and to set up a consultation appointment, which I did. I ne er even got through the doorway. Mike Shish came downstairs, led me outside and told me that it was a bad idea for a tattoo, that I should frame it and hang it on a wall, instead and that I should go home and brainstorm. He was not even the one that would be doing the tattoo. I had sketches of ideas to tie it together, but never got to show anybody. No suggestions, ideas, words of encouragement...just No, get out.

Had the opportunity to get a Tattoo done by Tyler. Went in with a few ideas and Tyler killed it!! 4 1/2 hrs first session and couldnt ask for anything better. He ran with my idea and took it to another level. Couldnt have picked a better tattoo artist, he was professional, courteous and his skills kick ass. Have 3 more sessions lined up and looking forward to my relationship with Hudson Valley Tattoo. Work as a Salesman at Midhudson Subaru and telling everybody to go see Tyler! Great work guys.

I cant speak for any other artist but Nelson is one hell of an artist. Its a really nice place and the workers are all very friendly. Extremely happy!!

Ill start off by saying how extremely clean and welcoming Hudson Valley Tattoo Company is. The first time I walked into Hudson Valley Tattoo Company I was greeted with a smile from the shop manager Erica and a handshake from both the owners Mike and Diego.I spent some time reviewing all of the artists portfolios and decided to talk over some design ideas with Mike Shishmanian. I explained what I was looking to get done and after seeing my ideas on paper in decided to pull the trigger.I have approximately 20 hours of chair time spent with Mike Shishmanian and approximately 10 hours chair time with Greg Rosenfeld and I could not be happier! I wear all of their artwork with pride and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great quality tattoo.

I went to hvtc back in March 2018 and got an amazing arm piece done by julian. Then went in September 2018 and got work done by taka. Literally just got home from getting a piece done by armando. Best tattoo shop ever. The atmosphere is amazing. The artists are amazing and honest!! If you want a quality tattoo you need to go here!!

The artists are professional and they do good work. Could stand to be a little punctual. I have had two tattoos from two different artists there and will likely go back again

Shish was/is my artist, and has done four out of five of my tattoos. He always makes sure you absolutely love the design he drew, and the location before doing anything. They all have safety certifications that is not required by state. The only negative thing is that it can be difficult to spot from route 9, but once you know about it, its easy to find.

I would highly recommend this tattoo shop to anyone interested. I have been to four separate tattoo shops and this one is leaps & bounds above the others. I would go as far as to say its been a mistake to not get ALL of my tattoos done here. Professional and clean studio with talented artists.

The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. They will most definitely work hard to give you the experience and tattoo you want. I wouldnt hesitate to refer anyone to HVTC!

Stopped in to ask some questions and the receptionist and tattoo artist Jose were AWESOME....he had some free time and did a on the spot consultation and gave me some really cool ideas to do in the free space I have. Definitely going to them when im ready.

Got an amazing tattoo from Taka today. He did such a great job on my son’s tattoo recently that I decided I need him to design one for me too. He was even able to fit my son in after me for another one.

Go see Jose Chalarca! He did an awesome job on my knuckles which was no easy feat- my hands are boney and dry af but he nailed it. They healed beautifully with very little fading on one part of the pinky (I wash my hands A LOT!). I plan on going back so he can do a bigger piece on my forearm.
