Hessoms Ink

I got two tattoos from this shop about a month ago. They charged me $300 for two separate tattoos, one was lineart of a cat, and the other was three letters on my leg. If I had known they were going to charge me twice, I would have never gone here, but the shop I originally wanted to go to was closed. Every other shop I have been to will combine the price of two tattoos and avoid charging shop minimum twice. They also charge by size, which is a practice Im unfamiliar with, and I have 6 other tattoos. To start, they only take cash, and they take all of it upfront. So I had given the guy at the front $300 before I even had ink to my skin. In my experience, you pay a deposit, you get tattooed, and then you pay the rest on the way out. I waited an hour for my artist to sketch my cat. While I was being tattooed, my artist used a very thin lining pen to do the outline, and used the same thin needle to shade in the black parts, so it took a lot longer, my skin was pretty raw, and the shading is scratchy. I have other tattoos with more shading, detail, and color, and this was now my most expensive tattoo. My new fully healed tattoos are splotchy, missing ink in spots, and not even fully shaded. The owner of the shop was also angrily cursing at the front of the shop, which put me on edge. If you go through and look at other critical reviews, the owner responds very negatively and doesnt take any criticism well. Im just sharing my experience here. At the end of the day, I chose to pay as much as I did, but I dont feel theyre worth what I paid, and I did not enjoy the vibes in there. I feel like I got robbed. In total, I was at this shop for about 4 hours for simple work.Update: My tattoo is fading terribly & Ive had it for less than two months.

Amazing artist, amazing environment, wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!! I didn’t think I’d be giggling through a collar bone tattoo but Bri made that possible! She thoroughly explained everything so well and made me feel so comfortable, I can’t wait to go back!

Great shop and all the artists were extremely welcoming and very personable. Joe did my tattoo this instance and he did and amazing job! 10/10 would recommend.

There were 4 of us getting matching, very sentimental tattoos, 2 of us drove 3 hours just to go to Hessoms Ink. Well worth the drive!!! Malik Rucks is amazing! I can’t begin to explain how awesome he is! Everyone there is great! The guy at the front who checked us in was super cool, friendly and helpful, the owner and other artists were so friendly and welcoming. This really should be the only option for tattoos. You won’t be disappointed!!! 20/10 highly recommend!!!!!!!!!

I havent gotten a tattoo from this place, later on in the future I will but Ive been listening to a lot of your music, your music is dope, Ive been following you for a while since you dropped that song with jamwayne, Im an inspiring musician myself, Ive been playing guitar and bass guitar since 2006, I got into singing and rapping in 2017, my music varies from rock, rap and country, aye but you a real one, keep up the good work!

Went to Lily for my first and second tattoo and this was my boyfriends first. We absolutely love her! She was super gentle and was sweet. This girl needs more recognition!! Amazing for a newish artist

Did an amazing job on a cover-up , done by artist , Hessom. Professional, clean & nice atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone looking for work to be done . Would definitely return for more work to be done .

Joe is my artist of choice. He does amazing work, The first tattoo is a year old and still bright as ever. I love how Joe always makes sure u are ok and pays attention if your body is acting differently than normal. The second tattoo is my most recent. We only stopped cause my body was twitchy,I normally just sit there. So Joe was worried.

The work was nice but I didn’t get what I asked for wanted a memorial piece for my mom paid more then what I agreed on because I wanted it done nicely piece doesn’t say mom or have a date or anything like the pic I showed I am devastated at my mom’s memorial piece! My brother had to ask me what is it. 15 mins away from the time we set up and he tells me I have to wait a couple more hours. Completely changed the piece from what I asked for I highly doubt I wud ever come back here. They have no communication. shop was clean and sanitary told me I had to pay cash because you had to spend 600 to use the card machine but because I sent 100 deposit I was not able to use the machine for the remaining 500 balance. I would not recommend.

Bret is AWESOME. He worked me in and gave me a meaningful tattoo that I’ll cherish FOREVER.

Chris was the artist that did my tattoo on my right ribs. He did amazing work and an awesome job! He was very helpful, generous, caring and kind. I would recommend him to anyone. The owner was very welcoming and does very great work as well. Also this was an important tattoo for me with a story behind it and came out looking great. Thank you for a great experience!

Malyk Smith took my vision and made it even better. This was my first tattoo. Great to work with!

Liars, unprofessional, & dirty! Save your money! They called to reschedule on the day of the tattoo 5/13/23. I had made the appointment 2 weeks prior. Matt (the guy that called to reschedule) lied to me saying “Hemmsons rushed to the hospital ‘cause his baby was being born and had to reschedule.” So rescheduled to Jun 3 in good faith…only later to find out he already had his baby April 28. Today (5/18/23) Matt called and rescheduled with no reason this time. The $100 deposit that I put down will not be returned. So all in all, they didn’t want to tattoo me and they lied because they just wanted $100. Feel free to reach out about how I know this information before you want to go get tattooed by them! Joe was my artist. The artists were very nice here, squeezing me in literally less than 30 mins til they closed, when they totally didn’t have to do that (not recommending anybody goes in to a place of work that soon to close though! I was just unaware of their closing time). He was very nice to me, and when I almost passed out he helped me feel way better. Would totally come here again and recommend to anybody looking for a good tattoo.

I came in yesterday for my first tat and Im so glad I came. It was my first tattoo and small but she did an amazing job. Im terrible with names so please forgive me but she was amazing and very reassuring bc I was nervous. Loved the vibes of the tattoo studio and all of the people there! Clean space and positive vibes. My tattoo is doing well and Im so happy! Thank you! Definitely recommend and will be back!

Brett did my memorial tattoo for my late husband and he totally did an amazing job!!! He made my idea come to light and I am so happy with it! Pricing was amazing!!! I have gotten 2 tattoos from Brett and plan on getting more!! He cares about what his customers wants and makes sure they are happy with what they are getting. He has great attention to detail and an easy hand! I definitely recommend and I have already turned my friends onto him!!! My Tattoo Artist was X.. exceptional professionalism.. answered all my questions about his qualification and followed up with showing me his portfolio.... humble and positive.... he was exceptional in terms of cleanliness, artistic ability, skill and technique.. I am 100% satisfied with my new tat and the process. The owner and other staff were attentive and welcoming... they even were considerate of my taste in music. The shop was clean and the owner checked on me as the artist completed his work. I will definitely return for my next tat.

Went to get a matching tattoo with my sister. It’s a very cute tattoo but it does need some work done to it once it’s fully healed. Lines arent connected and the fading looks nothing like our picture. We are both satisfied with the tattoo (her more than me). The man that did it was a little bit on the heavy handed side, but overall little to no pain. People were friendly. Felt a lot better once they had some music playing in the background. We both live out of the area, so it’s a very low chance we will ever come back.

My first Tattoo by Brett was Awesome. But now I had two appointments and he keeps cancelling. They want a deposit and if u don’t show they keep it.. What about it he don’t show?? Also sells himself pretty hard but can’t carry through. Very Disapointed

I decided to come here seeking a third tattoo based on other reviews I had read. I was a bit apprehensive at first, as the shop is not incredibly pleasing to the eye, however I am extremely pleased with my tattoo. I came in with a rough sketch and Clint took all of my wishes into consideration and worked with me until it was perfect! I am very happy with the final product, and would return in the future!

Tattoo was decent a few years ago but the ink is fading quickly on my leg. It was a very important tattoo for me. Probably going to have to have it redone or covered. Love all my ink. Im pretty covered. Just bummed. The other one done is still good. Thats on my arm.

I went to commerate my 2 children I have lost in the last 22 months..my oldest son and my youngest daughter 8 months apart. Joe was so nice an extremely gifted. He also took a drawing from my son and tattoo it on my one remaining daughter..my youngest daughters twin..he honored their memory and was very respectful of our experience.

Brett did an amazing job. He was kind and gentle and a very amazing artist. He took his time and made my dream come true and I now have my tattoo for my grandkids. I highly recommend him.

Me and my friend, Wanda, had a great experience here today with Joe McGinnis. He took his time and by the artwork on his wall, hes a true artist; very clean, sharp lines. The facility is clean, masks required. Caroline is very helpful and well versed with fonts. Walk-ins Welcome. These artists communicate well with clients to ensure you are happy.

I was absolutely blown away when entering hessoms inks new location!! it looks amazing something like ink masters it really comforts the worry wondering if it is clean and what-notBlown away again with the professionalism of all his staff there work is amazing i personally delt with Malik Smith ive gotten well over 100 compliments its only been 4 daysIve gotten tattoos from my head to my ankle pretty much and be far it is the best work Ive had done Malik is light handed N quick he did not rush an get me put the chair he will be the artist of my tattoos from here on out only reason I gave 5 starts is because I couldnt put infinite...No cap!! This place is so amazing! With many awesome tattoos artists that can ink anything that you desire as long as you are clear of what is it that you want. But the artist that I highly recommend if is Clinton Mchugh, he did mine and I am still over the moon of how amazing of a job he did , how clean his line work is and how beautiful the color turned out!

Clint did an amazing job on a memoriam to my brother! Took an idea and some pictures and turned it into a piece of art. Very friendly and laid back atmosphere. Only thing questionable was choice in music— saying this jokingly of course :) I’ll be back again for my next.

Went in to inquire a out a matching set of tattoos and the guy I spoke with was rude and so rude in fact he apologized to me for talking to me so poorly claiming he was tired… we wanted a set of tattoos with a couple words in black ink and he wanted $1100 yeah ok…… I will be checking elsewhere

I went to Hessoms Ink with my sister for my first tattoo. I was a little nervous about the whole process but Bri Pro was really helpful and talented. I ended up leaving with exactly what I wanted. Thank you guys and thank you Bri again!

Horrible experience . went in to get my first tattoo , had very high hopes . i had exactly what i wanted picked out before hand. the second i walked in i felt unwelcomed, the man who did my tattoo seemed unhappy to be there and got annoyed when i asked him to reprint out the layout for my tattoo because it wasn’t what i asked for. first thing i do when i walk in is ask to use the restroom , of which was unusable because the toilet was clogged up . two other men came in 20 minutes later (other tattoo artists) and continued to exit and enter the building , not tending to others waiting for tattoos. once i got my tattoo stencil ready , he asked me if i wanted a fade at the end of my tattoo & i said yes (which i did get) and he also asked me if i wanted the inside of the fingers filled in & i said yes (which i did not get). when he wrapped it , they did not have body tape so he had to wrap it with masking tape, which made my skin have an irritation for two days. line work was sloppy, did not recieve what i wanted & what i payed $100 for that i will now have to go fix elsewhere. very disappointed. please do not waste your time or money at this establishment !

10/10 recommend Hessoms Ink , Joe done mine and I’m absolutely in love with it !! We were looking at Brets work in there and he’s great too ! Joe is professional and you can tell he really cares for his clients !

They did an amazing job on fixing a tattoo that I had gotten a year ago but think when they wrapped it in plastic it made my skin react so I have to go get my leg checkout only 6 days after getting it touched up. Other than that great place

Awesome tattoos at a decent price ours was $100 where they would where I live at what are charged three he did an awesome job the best tattoo on my body was done from him we had three people getting the same tattoo and every single one of them look the same and its not just because the stencil because Ive been with other people who have got matching tattoos and they look completely different heads up its cash only but definitely worth a trip to go down there

I went to Hessoms ink because I was referred by a friend. I was not happy with my end results. My tat was a very sentimental piece And I spent over $1000 to have it covered up because of how awful it looked.
