My child asked to have their ears pierced for their birthday and this was the top recommendation from all my friends. I have to say the communication before the appointment was absolutely amazing, lots of qualifying questions to make sure this was the right fit before making the appointment and very up front about costs. The staff were all very help and took their time with my child who was very excited. Their jewelry selection is gorgeous and extensive! Also high quality materials are being used and are totally worth it.Side note: I am very happy with the extra measures they have in place for identification for minors.

This place is really well-run! My 14 year old daughter went here today to have her ears pierced. Megan did a great job explaining the various options for the studs she’ll wear for the first 6 months. We were in and out in no time, with no pain. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and the place is spotless with a nice waiting area for family members. We lucked out and they were able to schedule our daughter the same day we reached out. A+!

Had a great experience at black diamond! I have had many piercings at other places and by far this was one of the best experiences Ive had with piercings! Loved that they spend time to help pick out the jewelry and that they checked anatomy first to make sure the piercing would work out!

I have had all of my piercings done at Black Diamond and I have never had a bad experience! I highly recommend Melissa, she is super helpful with any questions I have and is always very nice! The shop is also VERY clean every time I go and I could not recommend this place enough for getting pierced!

I came here for a simple septum jewelry change and ended up leaving with it getting redone in the correct place!! Melissa was amazing and she informed me how my septum was incorrectly pierced through cartilage and gave me different options on how to proceed. I had her redo the piercing all together (she was amazing, it didn’t hurt and was so fast!!!) and it looks amazing now! Definitely will recommend them to family and friends because of how clean and professional their establishment is and the staff is so welcoming and makes you feel comfortable the second you come in. This is what a great business that knows what they are doing looks like!!

Ive been going to Black Diamond since 2012 and have gotten about 5 piercings from them, all mainly ear cartilage. Each time has been a wonderful experience. Until recently, I hadnt been in a while as I moved out of state. But man, this place has aged like fine wine! Every time I go in, Im more and more impressed by the jewelry selection and renovations theyve done. Everyone there is also incredibly friendly and professional. Melissa did a great job on my daith and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

Ive had nearly 10 piercings done by this shop before moving out of state. I decided to stop by to buy some new jewelry while visiting in town. I was so disappointed to not be allowed into the shop to look at jewelry without making an appointment first. Their employee was quick to run to the door to block us from entering, which was extremely off-putting. Purchasing jewelry should not require an appointment. I suggest going elsewhere to spend your money.

Black Diamond is my go to for piercings! I have gotten 3 cartilage piercings and a nose piercing done here. The staff is very informative of the whole piercing process and aftercare and are super timely and friendly with responding to messages. I have never had a problem with my piercings and highly recommend Black Diamond. I even had a piece of jewelry break on me and they were able to help me fix it.

Melissa did my vertical labret and septum!! Vertical labret was completely painless. Megan did each side nostril piercing. Pain 8/10 for my nostril but only for 3 seconds while it was being pierced and painless the rest of the healing process. Perfectly symmetrical. Love it!!!Edit: septum was 3/10 pain from inserting the jewelry, painless after that. it looks amazing!! Im afraid of needles but they both made this a safe, fast and easy experience for me! thank you so so much 🖤

Great experience to pierce my ear lobe that was pierced too low as a child. After completing a photo consultation and receiving their professional recommendation, I scheduled an appointment through a provided link.Be sure to read through all the requirements to make sure you know what to expect. They lay it all out clearly.Staff at the shop during my appointment time communicated well and were very friendly. The shop is clean and inviting and they have a great selection of jewelry. The piercing itself went really well.I highly recommend the business for your piercing or jewelry needs!

I got my 2 nostrils pierced and it was done so fast but also she made sure that they were even. I appreciate her taking her time to make sure they were even. I didn’t mind at all. The staff were so nice and a great selection of jewelry. I will definitely be coming back.

OVERPRICED. They intentionally don’t do any walk in appointments so not only do you have to pay 40$ for a booking fee regardless of how busy the day is but also 40$ minimum for a little a$$ ball piercing that looks ugly and they expect a tip. The staff was really nice and the piercing itself was good (I replaced the ball piercing) but honestly there are cheaper options

I probably shouldnt be rating them but let me explain;Okay, I havent been here yet and probably wont ever get to go there, why? You ask..... Well first of all, you can forget about talking to a human being. Secondly, you have to make an appointment first and foremost for EVERYTHING!!! Even if you just want to go there to purchase jewelry. I tried so hard to get my appointment with them but to no avail. When I finally got to the page where I have to pay a retainer fee or something to that.... anyways, it wouldnt take my debit card twice this happened and they couldnt even help me out with that!!! No call to explain the process, no exceptions, so I figure they must not really need anymore customers. So I ended up going to a place on Park Street, which was so much closer to the house. I just nicely told them when they messaged me that their process was really too much and unnecessary. I told them that I had found another place to do it and that I was already there

Made an appointment as clearly stated on their website and the process was super easy! The response from the team was quick and informative. When I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by amazing staff. Melissa went above and beyond to help me choose the perfect piece for my new piercing and spoke to me about future services that I inquired about. She was professional and kind. I’ve actually been here a few times. My first time I was just there for moral support while my friend got her piercing done. Everyone who works here is so nice and helpful! And then when I have had my appointments it was really quick and almost painless! I really like how clean and thorough they all are there. It makes me more confident that I’ll be able to take care of my piercings while they’re healing! Thanks so much again! Would definitely recommend!

Hands-down the most frustrating place to come to as a support person. Out of all of the times I have been pierced here pre pandemic, 0 issues .... now? Customer service is so poor. Note, if youre trying to get pierced they will not let you bring someone in with you. They wont even look you in the eyes when you walk up to the door with your friend and politely tell you that you cant come in. It can be incredibly scary to get pierced, and while its a voluntary choice, part of getting pierced is doing it with a friend or family member that can keep you company. We are 2 years past the pandemic and CT is ~90% fully vaccinated. This isnt a doctors office...its a body modification studio. There should be no specific reason why a masked, vaccinated, hand washed family member shouldnt be able to accompany someone getting pierced. This will be the second time that I have tried to come to support a family member, and each time Im forced to sit outside the business alone. They treat the accompanied person as though they dont exist and it is poor business etiquette. At the very least they have a waiting room inside (which I have seen) which can be used for guests who are not allowed to venture back into the intimate piercing rooms themselves. Its unfortunate that they treat their customers and supporters this way, and I would highly recommend going somewhere else to get pierced where you can be treated like a human vs. a supportive barbarian.

They were so helpful with jewelry recommendations, and the piercing experience was great. Every piercing I’ve gotten from here has done so well, and the jewelry is very good quality.

In reading some of the reviews of this place, it looks like a really awesome and professional establishment. I am eager to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT to check this place out as I am interested in getting another piercing soon. Tho I have not physically been here yet, I wanted to comment on the absolute professionalism of this company in responding to the blissfully ignorant and apparently incredibly lazy would-have-been patrons who find it inconceivable that these people serve by appointment only. Let me ask you this.....would you rather walk into a place to get sterile work done to yourself (i.e. piercings) and have it packed full of potentially dirty people who just want to browse the jewelry and arent even there to get anything done? Crazy children running around disruly while their careless parents peruse products they more than likely have no real intention of purchasing? Or would u rather walk into a serene, clean, and quiet store, not chock full of random people, where u are the center of attention while you get your piercing done? Idk about yall but I know Id choose the latter. I have every intention of MAKING AN APPOINTMENT to check this place out asap!!!

I had a very positive experience getting my nostril re-pierced at Black Diamond. The staff was friendly and professional. They have a wonderful collection of body jewelry, and I will definitely be returning for all of my piercing needs.

Update: Came back here a year later after I finally decided to get my tragus re-pierced. I filled out the form and someone got back to me within a few hours requesting photos of my closed tragus piercing. After sending a few images they sent me a link to make an appointment.I came in and everyone was so nice and helpful and gave me prices on some of the jewelry I liked.Once I paid I was told to wait a few minutes while they got everything ready. Eryn did my piercing she was very gentle, talked me through what she was doing and let me confirm the placement. The piercing was nowhere near as painful as the first time and Im so excited I got to pick such a beautiful piece of jewelry to wear instead of the big ugly long barbell I had the first time I got it.I cant wait to come back and get another piercing so glad I found this place!Went to get my 8 month old tragus checked out because after a week of losing the ring I couldnt get another one back in. The original place I got it pierced is more than 3 hrs away and I know lots of piercers shy away from checking out work that wasnt theirs. I sent a message via email with images of my piercing and they told me to come. They were able to get me an appointment the next day. They have such a beautiful collection of jewelry to choose from but just a warning it is $$$. But hey thats the price of quality. Unfortunately my hole was closed but the piercer spent a decent amount of time troubleshooting and trying to see if the hole was still open. She gave me great advice about letting it heal and coming back to get it repierced. Everyone was so nice and friendly the shop is very clean and has a huge selection of jewelry. Once I can get my tragus repierced I will definitely come back here to get it done.

I was really excited to get a piercing from here. I researched and read everything about the place. I loved how professional they seemed. I scheduled an appointment for a triple flat helix piercing in January. A few days later, When I went back to buy jewelry, my top piercing had shifted, I did not sleep on it or put anything on it, and it was now leaning on the middle piercing. I went back to ask about it and when the piercer saw it, she said, I dont know why that happened. As if it was something they had never seen before. No information was given as to why it may have happened. I decided to wait but it remained like that. The store wrote asking how it was and I told them that it was the same. They asked me how I was cleaning it, or if I was sleeping on it, and some other things. I felt like I was being blamed for this when it was nothing I did. Today I could not take the pain anymore that started a week ago and took it out. I see that it was pierced WAY to close to the other one on the front side of my ear but not the back. The other two are ok. I am disappointed that I had this experience when they rate themselves so highly and are in WEHA (West Hartford)! Which prides itself on being such high class. Even though I have 2 that are good, I will not return for anymore piercings. I will stick to Europe which is much better. They know what they are doing.

I cannot recommend Black Diamond highly enough. I brought my eight year old daughter here for her to get her ears pierced. They provided a safe environment that respected her autonomy and were sure to have her consent before each step of the process. She was a little bit scared and she left her experience empowered and happy. I also want to be sure to comment on the cleanliness of the piercing room. I am a physician and was so impressed with their clean environment and safe technique.

Pretty expensive about $150 for 2 ear lobe piercings. Not the nicest secretarys either. When I asked questions it seemed like an issue because they do not show you pictures of examples.

Easily booked an appointment online. Business was in touch via text to accommodate my sister-in-law and me in order to schedule us back to back which was great. Very clean facility. Large assortment of jewelry which is what prompted us to go there in the first place due to sensitivities with certain types of jewelry. Appreciated the piercers recommendations regarding type of ear piercing that would be best for me based on my own anatomy. Overall, great experience, would highly recommend and definitely go back in future!

This place is amazing. I couldnt recommend it enough as a place to go to if you need a piercing. The staff is super friendly and helpful when it comes to piercings. The shop is well lit, well styled and theres a ton of jewelry selections to choose from and all of them are gorgeous and great quality. I came years ago to get my industrial piercing, really appreciated the service then and came back to get my septum because I know how tricky of a piercing it can be. I was not disappointed. Shout out to Rob for making my procedure fun, easy and painless! This is the only place Ill come to from now on.

Really wasted my time coming here to look at jewelry. What is not clear from the website is you need a appointment even to look and buy jewelry. They really need to make it clear in their mess of a website dont come to my store.

Today I went to try to look at some septum rings to purchase and while my friend and i approached the front door a women answer the door asking if we had appointments. I stated that I was just coming to look at their jewelry selection, instead of inviting us in she had us wait outside in 30 degree weather to see if there was a piercer available. At that moment I told her I already have the piercing, I just wanted to see the jewelry they had. She then told us to wait outside. In the moment we waited and thought why are we waiting outside how rude is this and ended up leaving, it’s unfortunate cause I heard great things about this place and was excited to see what they had to offer but the customer service was not one of them and it actually came off a little racist. We will not be returning and will take our business elsewhere.

I got my septum pierced today at Black Diamond. The shop is squeaky clean and very welcoming. Megan was incredibly helpful, efficient, and kind. The jewelry selection is gorgeous and the whole process was explained to me step by step. I explained exactly what I was looking for-something delicate and low profile-and Megan went above and beyond to switch out my jewelry for a size they thought would be a better fit. My septum looks GORGEOUS, so clean, very little pain, and it is exactly what I want. I walked out so happy.

I visited to simply buy a new nose stud for a piercing I already have, and I was turned away and told I need an appointment to buy jewelry. This was a very disappointing experience.

Upon entering this establishment, I had hoped for an experience reflective of their advertised values of hospitality and respect. However, I was deeply disappointed by the unwarranted rudeness and disrespect I encountered solely based on my appearance. Which is the only giving factor to go off of upon our very limited and immediate encounter. Its disheartening to witness such narrow-mindedness in a place that should embrace diversity and inclusivity. This behavior not only tarnishes your reputation but also undermines the fundamental principles of human decency. I implore you to reflect on your actions and strive to create an environment that welcomes all individuals with dignity and kindness.

So nice and knowledgeable! When I came in I was able to get my double upper vertical labrets changed in under 10 minutes. I have barbells that are dual ended, screw in so I can have pretty jewels on both ends. I needed to downsize the bars and they had every size available for me. When one of the balls fell out later that day they got me in first thing the next morning to tighten them. Never tried to upsell me on anything and were excited to hear what I wanted. I love my opal labrets, thank you!!

Hear me say this…. Customer service is everything. A coworker of mine referred me to this spot for a nose piercing because she came here. Too bad I never made it past their threshold.Upon arrival I was met at the locked door by a human who said “hi do you have an appointment?” When I said no I was informed they are by appointment which is fine, handed a card and told to book online or something like that. I couldn’t hear past the uninviting behavior being kept at the door through this exchange and dismissed super quick feeling unmotivated to book an appointment with anyone there.I love to support small businesses in weha and build rapport with staff and even owners at times. But this place I’ll never step foot in again simply because of how I was treated in that brief cold moment.Luckily there are businesses in the area who know how to treat people looking to support them.

Its been a long road for ear piercing for my daughter. She first got pierced here when she was nine and developed a keloid on the back of her ear. Black Diamond would re-pierce, but we had to wait for the skin to heal. Fast forward to healed skin, but we had to keep extending due to activities that may cause trauma to her ears. Im glad that they did not rush to get her back in and the precautions they took. They maintained a complete history of every question from the first piercing through the healing process and the subsequent delayed attempts to re-pierce. Shes finally pierced and is loving it. Absolutely hands down my best piercing experience i’ve ever had, and this was my 14th piercing!! Everyone here is above and beyond when it comes to kindness and making sure you’re comfortable and feel safe and sterile! I could not be happier with my experience and the way i was treated! I will without a doubt be going here for my future piercings!!!!

This was my second time here. First time was during an all time high of the pandemic. I had a piercing emergency and needed my dermal removed. Second and most recent time was for a lip piercing. They are clean, friendly, thorough, and professional. Megan was awesome in helping me with my anxiety during the whole process and happily answered questions about jewelry. I don’t really understand the negative reviews. Seems like anyone with a negative thing to say didn’t read their very extensive shop and appointment policies, and then blame the shop for it? Black Diamond literally makes the process of getting pierced by them so clear, it’s on their website, their appointment request page, their release form, like you really read all of their policies multiple times and then sign that you read and agree to it. So why show up unprepared and then leave a bad review about something that the shop literally did nothing wrong.Anyways, I love it here. They’re great. You should come here :)

Would highly recommend if you’re a trans person looking for a piercer! Megan is professional, knowledgeable, and was able to answer my questions as well as offer insight for piercings that worked with my particular anatomy. The shop feels like an accepting, safe place and is clean in addition to having a wide variety of high quality jewelry. It operates via appointment only as well, so you don’t have to worry about random people coming in and out while you are being handled. Their directions are also thorough, easy to find, and clearly communicated. Ngl, I find myself confused about the few bad reviews here because a lot of them seem to be people not following said directions that are not only listed on their website, but also in the paperwork you fill out even for a consult. Regardless, I had a wonderful experience and plan to return!

Terrible booking system. Tried to reserve a spot. While I was waiting for my service to be approved on their end the time I was scheduling for was given away. You shouldn’t be able to choose a time if it won’t be honored.

Ive been here twice for piercings and Ive had two awesome, seamless experiences. Yesterday I popped in for a philtrum piercings; it was my first time getting pierced by an apprentice and I was a little nervous at first, but Melissa made me feel at ease! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and talented, and her mentor (sorry, I didnt catch your name!) being present and engaged during the process made me feel like I was in good hands. Got my nose piercing here and I couldn’t be happier!! I’ve always gone to other “cheap” shops for all my other piercings. That led to a bad piercing and permanent scarring, unfortunately. I decided to try black diamond, and the difference here is huge in quality!! Megan was so sweet and made sure it matched up perfectly even with my other nose piercing on the other side. She checked multiple times and from different angles. It really meant a lot to me :) I’ll only be coming here from now on!

I went here to get a nostril piercing yesterday. We got there too early so just fyi they include all the paperwork, jewelry choices in the estimated time, no need to arrive early. The staff at Black Diamond were amazing! Put in an inquiry for a piercing appointment which was super easy, and I like that they give you the option for additional piercings. I originally just wanted septum but then decided to get a 3rd hole in my lobes too!Their selection of jewelry is amazing, I just stuck to the basics but may go back for a change when my septum heals and get something pretty 😍Megan was absolutely great and went through every step of the process of what she would do and which piercing she would do first. I liked that she was very thorough in making sure where my septum piercing would go and fit.I will definitely be coming back for any of my other piercing needs 😊

I have been able to work with Megan twice now, and each time it’s been a great experience. They were super welcoming and calming overall, and made me feel very comfortable. I really appreciate when piercers talk you through what they’re doing, and that’s exactly what they did. When I first worked with Megan, I got two flat piercings. She took the time to ask me how I was feeling, and walk me through the process, which made the whole experience super nice. Megan made me feel like I was valued more than just someone that they happened to be piercing by taking the extra time to get to know me a little.As far as the piercings themself, they came out lovely, and the whole experience from how I was treated, to the outcome of my piercings was just great.The second time I got to work with Megan was when I was stretching my septum for the first time. She was super informative, and when it came to picking jewelry, they made sure I chose something that would not only look good, but work well with the healing process. They could’ve easily just given me the type of jewelry I was initially going for (and also made more money because that piece was more expensive) and hoped it ended up okay, but she instead took the time to explain why I should choose something different. This showed me that they really valued the quality of their work, and made me feel even more like I was in good hands than they had already proven to me. Just like when I got pierced by Megan, they walked me through the entire process, and were very helpful with any stretching questions that came up.Overall I would 100000% get pierced by them again, and will definitely be coming back!

I cant say enough about how great this shop is. Everyone is super welcoming and warm. Melissa helped me with picking out my nose jewelry and answered all of my questions. Im not sure who was working the register but she made sure that I was being charged correctly considering I got a nostril piercing, a downsize for my current nose piercing, new jewelry and saline solution. Megan did my nostril piercing and first confirmed what service we were doing and where the placement was going to be. I had a bad experience with another piercing shop where I had gotten nostril piercings on both sides of my nose but they were terribly uneven. I let Megan know my experience and they completely understood and took the time to match my existing nostril piercing. We went back and forth on the placement and when I suggested we move the placement slightly she was very accommodating and never made me feel like I was a burden. They also made sure to talk me through what they were doing so I was never unsure about what was happening. Megan killed it with my piercing and I am so happy that the placement is perfect and that I felt seen as a customer. I love this shop and would always recommend it. Thank you Black Diamond!

I got my lip piercings back in January and my second lobes in August and I love them! Everyone is really nice and I plan to go back for more. Megan pierced my lip and ears and shes great :)

I have gotten multiple piercings here so I obviously love them.Megan did my last two piercings so I really hope she sees this. #1 she is absolutely fantastic- always makes me feel comfortable and welcome.#2 my most recent piercing was a double nostril- one on each side.....pretty obvious right?! Megan did such a great job making it look natural to my face, no one at work noticed! 🤣😂It made me laugh hysterically so I just needed to share because I cant say enough great things about everybody at Black Diamond. Absolutely wont get pierced anywhere else now 😍

I brought my daughter to here after she had begged me for the past few years to get her piercing done. Since she is going off to college I finally decided to do my research and came up with Black Diamond Piercing. Scheduling my appt via email and text with Molly was super fast, informative and easy. Madison also was able to prepare us for our appointment. The place is beautiful inside open and bright not dark and goth as expected from TV shows. The piercing room was surgical/medical grade clean which also assure me that I had made the right decision.I have to admit despite the isolation rules, I fortunately was able to sit in the room and watched my daughter get pierced, yet sadly I was unable to hold her hand. (I know she is growing up but..a bonding moment missed). Christine did a beautiful clean piercing. She not one for conversation like Molly and Madison, Christine gets to the point and does the job correctly. No fluff. On an off note, I am not sure why we were asked to leave out the back door since there is no parking in back and we walked around to the front. Odd. *** Two weeks later her site is healing beautifully and in the end, that is what you want the most. A perfect piercing without complications. Well be back to get piercing upgrades. I would definitely recommend this place.

Sparkling and sparkling clean. I came to Black Diamond for an industrial piercing, and could not be more impressed. Their jewelry counter is sophisticated; waiting room, cozy; piercing rooms, immaculate. But the best part is the friendliness of all staff! Megan and Melissa were a phonomenal team, and whoever is behind the text messages is prompt with answers that are pleasing to read :-) Megan especially made me feel at ease - and ANYONE who can put me at ease with needles is a magician as far as Im concerned. I see a lot of reviews on not being minority friendly as well as how what appears to be the owner responses is disheartening. I never hear any reviews of minority shaming and/or disheartening responses from blue moon… I was gonna come here but I will go elsewhere. Do better please…

I had been going here for almost 10 years. I loved Andie and Brooke, they were always so friendly and attentive. However, about a year ago, I had the single worst experience with their new front end staff. Every single person in there has a bad attitude like they’re miserable and act like asking questions is a huge inconvenience to them. The girl Melissa with the sharpie-drawn-on eyebrows acted annoyed by our questions about jewelry even though we had an appointment specifically to shop for jewelry prior to our piercing appointments. She was apathetic and rude, I felt uncomfortable even shopping. If I could give this shop a 0, I would.

I had the best experience at Black Diamond. The piercers are polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I felt really confident in my piercer the entire time as she guided me through the process in picking the right jewelry, piercing size, etc. Black Diamond is the only place I go to for any jewelry or piercings bc they are simply the best!

My daughter (14 years old) was scheduled to get her ears pierced.... which she was very, very, very excited to have done. Before her appointment, she could not find her school identification ... she had misplaced it. So, we went with her passport and I brought my ID. My daughter was refused the appointment as the passport had expired and we forfeited the entire deposit of $75. The person that we spoke with just did not care and was somewhat arrogant about it. No customer service, understanding or ability to listen. I have never experienced anything like this. Usually a business is so concerned about customer. Based on your response dated 12.19.2022 it seems you just care about the money, money, money and not the customer experience. the appointment manager made no attempt to reschedule the visit or allow us a time to reschedule. Instead, I have to deal with a loss of $75 and a daughter that was in tears ..... tears because she could not get her ears pierced. I went out of my way to look for a female owned business .... i thought that it was the right thing to do. How wrong I was to select your company and I so hope that this review will convince other potential clients to stay away from your organization. Instead of taking care of your clients... you are now spending your time investigating and responding. I hope that you disappointing my 14 year old daughter and infuriating me is all worth the $74 dollars in your pocket. Was it worth it?

Amazing!!! Super clean, decorated beautifully, very calming environment. Everyone is super friendly! Christine did my piercings she was awesome and super down to earth. Definitely top knotch, they take all the time you need and make sure your comfortable. Jewelry selection was amazing. I would give way more than 5 stars!

I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this shop on multiple occasions, each time has been wonderful. I have received new ear and nostril piercings, reopened old lobe piercings, purchased jewelry, and was given recommendations based on the anatomy of my ear. Every time I have come I felt extremely comfortable, which is so important when getting piercings done and each piercing has healed beautifully. This is by far the best place to get pierced and it is woman owned and operated. I have received 3 piercings myself and have brought my niece in for two piercings. Each time I had a wonderful experience. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. My niece wanted a navel piercing and was informed that due to her belly button the piercing wouldn’t take and it would grow out, many other places would have just pierced her anyway. The jewelry here is amazing and of such high quality. This is the best place I have ever been and I will continue to support Georgina and her staff.

I decided to go to Black Diamond Body Piercing for my first piercing in 20 years (since getting my ears pierced at Claires when I was a kid) because they are SO pleasingly organized, and are members of the Association of Professional Piercers. Their space is very clean, minimalist and calming, and their website and instructions are very clear. Christine did my nostril. They were very chill, patient, methodical, and put my piercing exactly where Id indicated I wanted it. I might have a high-ish pain tolerance, but Christine made the actual piercing process quick and easy. Its been 8 days since and my piercing seems to be healing well! No complaints! Black Diamond Body Piercing is a great spot!

Black diamond is the only shop i will go to for any and all of my piercings. beyond exquisite jewelry selection with an enormous range of prices; fit for any budget. the piercing artists are always incredibly professional and sterile; cleaner than the operating room. i always feel comfortable, welcome, and listened to with any questions or concerns. georgina is an absolute master of her craft and it is a pleasure every time to work with her and get the piercings and jewelry that i want, and will work best with my anatomy. i have been recommending them for years and will continue to do so.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Mollie the appointment manager was great to deal with for the initial scheduling. The desk staff was kind and courteous. The actual studio is extremely clean and inviting. And of course Georgina is absolutely amazing at what she does. Overall, we could not be happier with the experience and the piercings.

I’ve had my lobes and both nostrils pierced at black diamond. To my memory, all different piercers every time. They’re always kind and professional. I tend to have anxiety before piercings and they were always reassuring. Every piercing healed great. Prices are more than fair for services and jewelry (tip your piercer!). On top of excellent service, the whole place is so clean you’ll think you’re in a doctors office. I live in middletown but the short travel is more than worth it for those who take their piercings seriously. Thanks for everything!

I am never one to ever rate any businesses, especially when regarding negative reviews as I know how badly they can impact a business… that being said it breaks my heart to write this review. I have gotten a helix, and rook piercing from black Diamond, which upon consultation from other piercers (from multiple different piercers outside of black Diamond to ensure various individuals could see it) were done horribly wrong. One piercer remarking “I don’t know how you endured your rook piercing it is way to deep into your ear and must have been excruciating to deal with”. Another piercer quoting, “the stud in your helix is incredibly cheap and you are bleeding through tissues because how bad the quality is”. Both times I went to black Diamond the piercers showed how insignificant their clients were and gave an aura of wanting you to leave the store as fast as possible (had to choose the jewelry and location of piercing within minutes though appointment booking is for 30 mins). Almost every other place supplies saline spray, here you pay for it. Finally before the rook was pierced my piercer did not even let me see the location, which then upon extreme irritation had to pay an additional 55$ for a mistake made on the piercer end with saying “yeah we may have to pierce this again” though it was entirely piercers fault (will probably always have permanent scarring because of it…). This all being said if you wish to get a piercing as soon as possible yeah come here but not worth it for the long run.

The whole process was very easy from setting up the appointment to getting pierced. The staff was very friendly and helpful and did an amazing job. Christine explained the aftercare but they also emailed it to me they also checked on me the next day in case I had any questions. Will absolutely go back. Professional and clean

Today I went and got my conch and helix done and I love them! All the ladies were so nice and my piercer Megan was amazing! She looked at my ear and gave me her opinion on what would look best but there was no pressure! She was so kind, completely calmed my nerves, and answered all of my questions. The jewelry was beautiful and everything was amazing!

Listen, my piercing is fine. But the lack of respect and completely horrible attitude of all of the employees (besides Mollie, they’re wonderful) will completely ruin my chances of returning. None of the piercers take well to any sort of nerves and don’t offer any helpful advice. A slightly better attitude of all the employees would entirely change the dynamic of the shop and would have made for a great experience. But unfortunately that is just not the case. If you know exactly what you want and are an experienced piercing-getter, then this may work well for you as they have incredibly meticulous sanitary standards, but that is honestly something that a lot of places offer along with a far better customer experience. Do better black diamond, you have potential.For reference, I have gotten both my second lobes, third lobes, and helix there hoping for a better experience yet I was left frustrated and disappointed each and every time.

This was my first piercing. Christine did a wonderful job and helped me pick out studs for my ears. She made me feel very comfortable. Very friendly experience. Made the appointment that afternoon and still got in that day.

Beautiful shop, Quite expensive, but amazing quality jewelry. When you get pierced there you will have NO issues with healing. one of the piercers Vikki was extremely rude for absolutely no reason, and shut me and the peircing I wanted down before I stepped foot in the shop all because I required 5-10 extra minutes of her time due to my physical disability. Went there for YEARS. Owner and piercer Andy are so down to earth and nice people. But since that Ive just never been comfy visiting the shop again sadly.

Christine did my nipple piercing and they came out wonderful. Very happy with my results, minimal pain, she seemed to be knowledgeable and experienced as well. Shop was very clean. I would come here again for other piercings!

I’ve been here twice before, once to get pierced and once to look at jewelry BC (before Covid)And all the shops I’ve been to since, this spot has the best jewelry selection.I have since moved to North Carolina but was visiting family in NH. I drove out of the way to specifically come to this shop to invest in a new conch piece (with a budget of $300, I know they have nice quality jewelry here like BVLA that can only be found in stores)Upon arriving during their “open hours” early afternoon on a Tuesday, I was greeted at the door to be told that they are appointment only even to look at jewelry. I had checked the website previously to see if the shop was still open, etc.the website isn’t clear about shopping for jewelry unless you specifically click on the link for “appointments” then it states you need one for jewelry sales. I’ve never been to a shop that functions like this so I didn’t expect it.. Maybe I’m the only one this has happened to but it would help folks out to be explicitly clear about this on your home page.I’m thoroughly bummed.

I *love* this place! I have gotten all my piercings done here since I was little and this time especially I was blown away by how helpful, knowledgeable, and kind the people working there are. When I was picking the jewelry for my piercing, they were very accommodating by telling me what type and size earring would work best for my ear while also being very understanding about my price range and the look I was going for. Andie helped me figure out what placement for the earring would achieve the look I was going for, offering different potential placements and letting me choose which I liked the best. Every time I go there, I am more and more impressed with their service (I have now been there 5 times for my own piercings and for my little sisters!). My family started going there when I was 13 and got my first lobe piercing, and now my parents never want my sister or I to go anywhere else. They use clean, sterile equipment and have high quality jewelry. And super high quality service!! Highly highly recommend this place, would give 8/5 stars if I could.

Everybody was friendly and informative and I was very impressed by my piercer, Andie who was quick and thorough to answer every question I had. I took my 7 year old daughter there to get her ears pierced yesterday. I called the day before to make the appointment, and asked the employee several questions on the phone. She was so friendly and willing to answer my questions. I stopped by the shop that day to pick out the earrings for my daughter. I was immediately impressed with how clean the shop was. It was also a very calming environment. The jewelry there is a little more expensive than what you would get at a mass production piercer, but I did not care. I want my daughter to have high quality jewelry in her ears, and thats what their jewelry is. We had an appointment the next day. We arrived 5 minutes early and I filled out their very simple, yet informative, waiver. Our appointment started right on time, and the piercer (and owner) Georgina took us in. She was very sterile and changed gloves when necessary. She had a great system down for piercing childrens ears. She had both my daughter and me laughing so hard, and eased all of my fears! It was quick, the piercings were done with a needle which is more sterile, we were taught how to care for the piercings and we were on our way! I highly recommend this shop due to the professionalism, the cleanliness, the high quality materials, and the needle piercing.

I have gotten multiple piercings here and even my very first tattoo, back when they did tattoos there. One of the most professional piercings shops Ive ever been to. I have recommended many friends go to black diamond for their piercing needs. I cant wait til I have some money saved up so I can get another piercing. The only piercing I didnt get there was my septum and I wish I had.. the place I went was nowhere near as great at Georginas. The quality of all of the jewelry is awesome and theres so much beautiful stuff!

I wish I had read the reviews before excitedly making an appt for my 16 year old to have her first piercing done here. I wanted to support an all female business and drove over an hour to this appt. We too experienced the cold and harsh lack of customer service here like others stated in other reviews. We arrived to our appt on time and with all the necessary legal documents in hand. However I had overlooked a policy on having someone else with us and as a single mom had brought my 6 year old without thinking about it because that’s what us single moms have to do. Upon knocking on the door it was immediately pointed out that she was with us and that that wasn’t allowed. I simply asked what a single parent is supposed to do in that situation and was told to hold on. We waited outside until she brought back a phone to say “here this this where you agreed to this policy.” And that was that. Now I’m not one to ask for exceptions or to complain about policies however what was startling to me was that she never even offered any kind of solution before refusing our service, basically shutting the door in our face and keeping the $50 deposit. I wonder how many services they’ve flat out refused and they’ve then kept the deposits for services they refused to do? Being a first time customer and feeling like your business doesn’t matter was a very interesting feeling when you went out of your way to support this particular female owned business. A simple “let’s try and find another day to accommodate you.” would’ve felt like bare minimum customer service but we weren’t deserving of even the most basic level of customer care. So we drove an hour back home wondering why we weren’t even offered a different time or anything. Thankfully we were able to get it done at another reputable female owned piercing studio where we were treated like valued customers instead of being made to feel less than. Rules are great but treating customers like they matter is what should matter the most when running a small business.

I have gotten ear, cartilage, and body piercings, each with varying levels of pain. I came in today to get my septum pierced, and was pretty nervous about the pain. Given that it is a sensitive area, I was expecting it to be pretty bad. I braced myself when Christine told me to let my breath out as they pushed the needle through my nose- and I felt almost nothing. Getting my septum pierced by them hurt less than even getting my earlobes pierced. Completely incredible, they have a magic touch. I highly recommend this place, they have always been polite, efficient, and every piercing Ive gotten there has been perfect!! Thank you Christine :)

Ive gotten my third earlobes done here in the past and theyve since healed perfectly, and just got my industrial done recently by Vikki - its beautiful and is already healing well. All piercers are super knowledgeable and friendly, and theyll guide you through the whole process. Ive even had questions about my industrial since I got it and the shop has answered all of my concerns. Quality work and great people - I wont go anywhere else for piercings!

I am wicked impressed by this place! Andie was my artist who performed my Rook piercing! She was amazing! She is super personable and talks with you while she is setting up and then walks you through each step as you go so there is never question of what is happening and it keeps you at ease. I dont know what I expected but I was surprised legitimate sterile techniques were used! I recommend to anyone who wants a piercing!They are renovating the shop to help have more of a waiting area so I am excited to see the changes next time I go! 😊

I got my tragus pierced my Melissa yesterday and it was a great experience.The staff is kind and professional, contrary to what other reviews say. The shop is beautiful and so clean.Social media, their website and the sign on the door all state that an appointment is required for all services, including jewelry changes or purchases. Scheduling an appointment was super easy, just texted the shop number and Mollie got back to me (even though I texted on Monday, when the shop is closed). Once the appointment was scheduled, they are very clear about the new protocols and let you know that they will meet you at the door to confirm that you have an appointment.Melissa helped me choose a piece of jewelry that I thought was pretty AND would fit nicely on my tragus.Overall, I would recommend going to Black Diamond Piercing to any one! 10/10 experience.

Loved my experience with Black Diamond from upon my initial entrance to exit. The staff is professional, personal, welcoming and knowledgeable on all levels. Warning to new piercers: it is not cheap! I felt like someone punched me in the gut when I went in for my appointment (which already required a good chuck of change to reserve the appointment and fees) and got prices for the jewelry I liked. Even the cheapest, okay looking, piercing options are expensive so then I got in the mindset of screw it, Im already in so deep financially Ill go for the fancy gold option I like. **BUT I dont regret anything. I am very happy with the results and everyone there was friendly and professional. Sometimes the phone is understandably busy but owner was prompt and helpful via email. Over 1 month out and the piercings look and feel great. A PLUS: I can use that jewelry again at their location down the road for other piercings so next time will be a lot cheaper. :)

I got my industrial piercing here. The procedure was quick and the equipment was all clean. The staff gave me a great guide on the aftercare of my piercing. However, they did not seem happy to have me there, and they were a little short and snippy with me. I had to go back to get the ball put back on one end of my barbell, and my treatment was the same both times that I set foot in the shop. All in all, I paid far too much for the treatment I received, and I will not be going back.Edit (Oct 5, 2018): My treatment here really sticks in my craw as the worst I’ve gotten for any body mod. I had several other piercings done at other shops and the people there were absolutely delightful. My piercings from elsewhere also healed quickly and correctly with no scarring and for much less money. You’re better off going somewhere else.

Today was my second time getting pierced at Black Diamond and I would definitely recommend this place. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They are more concerned with your health and satisfaction with your piercing than making a dollar. My friend wasnt a good candidate to get the same piercing I got today so they referred him to someone else who would do a better job than they could do. Thats a true mark of a business that focuses more on customer satisfaction than making a quick buck. I also want to note that this is a female-owned and female-run business. I only call this out to encourage everyone to support a small business that is owned and run by (awesome) women.

At first the place looks like a beautiful shop online. I was like wow let me check them out. To get an appointment is crazy and 0 flexibility but I was excited to get there! When we finally get there. The door was guarded. They was not letting us In. You cant even walk in. Very unwelcoming! As soon as we walked in. I felt rushed from the start they were counting every minute of it. I mean I wasSo rushed I couldn’t even look at the jewelry. Me and partner was like what is going on. Weird vibe the craziest customer service ever! On top of everything we spend over $200 on the jewelry and after we left. The jewelry looked super cheapAnd with rubber backs. You better of going to Amazon honestly better service and faster delivery.

I went to Black Diamond today for a faux snug, and my experience was incredible! the piercing shop is extremely clean and sterile, and the staff is very patient and friendly. I talked to Mollie over the phone who was able to answer all of my questions and was super kind. I had accidentally called on a day the shop was closed and received a call back the next day and was able to easily set up an appointment over the phone. when I arrived, I was greeted by I think vikki, who was really kind and made checking in, filling out paper work, and picking out jewelry simple without any issue! I was pierced by Christine today who really took the time to sterilize the jewelry and mark my ear well which she did perfectly! she explained to me well what the after care is like, and suggested options to make it more simple. when it came to actually piercing my ear, she let me know when she was about to do it, and let me know when she would pull the jewelry through and put the bead on which made the pain easier to sit through knowing what was happening. I was probably there for less than half an hour, but everything was done perfectly, and Im more than happy with how my piercings turned out. Ill definitely be coming back and recommending others to come here!! thanks for the piercings today!! :))

Black Diamond is by far my favorite piercing studio! The staff is very knowledgeable and give their honest opinions! I have gotten three different piercings here and each one healed amazingly! The one down side is that the jewelry prices are a little steep, but the quality is AMAZING! Thank you Brooke and Andie for making all my piercings dream come true!

We had a fabulous experience here having my 8yr old daughters earlobes pierced. The facility was immaculately clean, they took ample precautions with sanitation of tools and best of all, Megan was incredibly gentle and patient with my daughter. She was so nervous and let loose a loud shriek and cry after the first piercing. Megan was soft spoken with my daughter and let her know she could take her time to prepare for the next ear. We left with a very happy 8yr old with a beautiful pair of little violet gems in her ears.

Ive gotten piercings here a couple different times now. (Re-piercing an industrial & nose piercing) Great experience both times! Both piercers were incredibly friendly and professional, shop is super clean & and theres a ton of beautiful jewelry to choose from for your piercings.Ill address 2 points Ive seen/heard raised. The jewelry isnt cheap. Nor should it be. Youre putting a hole in your body & inserting metal to stay there for a long period of time. You dont want a place that will use cheap jewelry. (Who knows? Maybe you actually do.... but itd be ill-advised) Youll choose from high quality jewelry here; yes, that comes with a price tag - but theirs is a reasonable one for what youre getting.Also, yes, this is not a doctors office. But again - piercings are open wounds, and therefore require the shop to be more meticulous about cleanliness, germs, and so forth. I, personally, wouldnt want to go to a place thats lax in that area. It is also hard to fault a company that is constantly interacting with the public for looking out for the health and well-being of their employees. For me, that makes me inclined to support them MORE not less.Fortunately for all, a capitalistic society allows for freedom of choice. To me, these are pros. If theyre not for you, 1. do your research; 2. find the place thats the right fit for you.I just know Ill be back there at some point for the next one! :)

Heard great reviews, and I am so glad I went. I got my nose pierced and was extremely anxious. Brookes service was spectacular, she talked me through the piercing so I would know what was about to happen. Afterward, she let me relax until I felt better. She even brought me over a damp towel, cool water and lollipop to help the process. I couldnt imagine a more comforting experience.Georgina was helpful as well when I was trying to decide on jewelry.Overall, I had a very comforting experience. I would recommend it to anyone.

I got my first ever ear piercing here. The experience was wonderful. Rob was incredibly thorough in selecting the placement for my piercings. There was barely any pain at all. I felt relaxed and comfortable the entire time. I researched places all over the state online and am glad I choose to travel to Black Diamond. The titanium stud earrings I picked out were a little more than I planned on spending but they are excellent quality and I love them!!

My husband and I brought my daughter here for her birthday to get her ears pierced for the first time. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted by staff. Everyone was very nice and patient while we chose a pair of earrings. Brooke was amazing with my daughter. She talked to her the whole time, putting her mind at ease. My daughter said that she did not feel any pain. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I cant recommend this place enough. I got my daith done by Andie today and Im so happy with the whole experience. The shop itself is spacious, bright, airy, and decorated beautifully. Everyone that helped me during the process of checking in, picking out jewelry, and cashing out was super nice. Andie also told me that the ring I picked was on the small side and might hinder healing which was super appreciated. Andie was super sweet and dealt with me talking her ear off which I do when Im nervous, and her making conversation helped ease my anxiety. The piercing was quick, relatively painless, and turned out great. Ill definitely be coming back here for my next piercing!

I got my septum pierced here and it went well. Making the appointment was easy and checking in and the appointment went smoothly. Each process was explained and the piercing itself went smoothly. The shop is super clean and professional, as was my piercer. I’ve recommended the shop to others and I’d definitely go back.

So I went to Black Diamond, and they gave me great advice, advised me on a safe and smart jewelry selection, and helped me change my piercing. Now I’ve had this piercing for a total of 10 months, and it looks amazing and has 100% healed. Thank you Black Diamond! I recommend this place to ANY ONE I talk to that wants piercings.

I got my nostril pierced here last week, and I loved it! The place was so sanitary, and I felt extremely comfortable. I am only 16 so I had to have my mother sign for me and there were no issues at all. I was pierced by Rob, and it was quick easy and comfortable. Thank you black diamond!

I had my septum pierced many years ago in another state that was extremely painful and it healed badly, so I was super nervous coming here to have it pierced again. My experience was amazing! It has almost painless when pierced, has been healing well, and the people at the shop are awesome, especially having to deal with my nervous A**. I would definitely recommend!

I have had 3 piercings done here. I had my nostril done a year and a half ago and my rook done 3 months ago by Georgina and my navel done last month by Brooke. Both ladies are AMAZING and all expectations are exceeded. Both are very friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience, from picking out the right jewelry to the aftercare. The staff is also very helpful too. I constantly tell people to go here for piercings, and I personally will only trust Brooke or Georgina to pierce me.

I went into black diamond to get an earring tightened. First of all the new back to the earring was $12. They then charged me an additional $10 service fee and another $10 PPE fee… so I paid $34 after tax to get a new back for my earring. They didn’t even fix the problem. The earring is still too loose and when I tried to tell the girl working that it needed to be tighter she was rude about it and wouldn’t try a smaller size. The customer service was not good at all. Overall a horrible experience and I would never go back there. The problem with my earring wasn’t fixed and I’m out $34.

Got my helix pierced here a few days ago and i’m in love, my piercer Christine did a great job and was very knowledgeable, talented and direct. Everything is super professional and clean, they take a lot of covid precautions which is a very good thing. I also love the fact that it’s a woman owned business, and the owner is very kind and professional :) Will definitely be coming here for future piercings, however do be expecting to pay quite a bit for your service, you really do get what you pay for.

Best place for piercing! I have had many, and done at a few different places. They never healed, were infected etc. I got my nose redone here and it healed great, went back for jewelry change all went smoothly and still looks great with no issues. Service is great, they are very thorough, take it seriously, and dont just throw a piercing wherever without and discussing the area first. I am going back to my septum within the next few days and CANT WAIT!

I recent went in (almost three weeks ago) to get my nipples pierced I went by myself and was kind of nervous (who wouldnt be?) Brooke took great care of me and made me feel so comfortable! Im definetly recommending this place to my friends the price was higher than expected but the quality is amazing so worth it! Black Diamond is a fantastic place. I have had three piercings here on two different visits and had both Brooke and Georgina. I have had work done at other local shops and none compare to the clean, friendly, and professional environment at Black Diamond. Its a very sterile and the (all female) staff is very helpful and nurturing, which is great for first comers and anxious people like me!Only con is that it is rather expensive. The piercing itself is expensive, and the jewelry is at least $25 - but they have the absolute best quality! Its worth it in my opinion for the cleanliness and quality.

Had my nose pierced here by Andie a couple weeks ago. She was super sweet and very knowledgeable. She made the experience comfortable for me and the piercing took no time at all. Everything was clean and sterile. The assortment of jewelry was nice as well. Will definitely be returning for further piercings!

Got my septum here and I loved how nice they are. It was very reassuring to have them explain what they recommend and how everything will work. Had a little of a wait, but nothing outrageous. Had my Bose pierced there last summer, went back to have a smaller post put in. As before, the staff is professiona,l helpful and friendly, and was able to answer all the questions I had about possibly getting a different sort of piercing.Most all the facility is warm and inviting while also being absolutely clean and sanitary. No worries on that front at all. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

The piercers are kind and professional. They were patient as I picked out a piece of jewelry. And they could not have been more COVID conscious as a whole. I got my ear pierced here 3 years ago and I needed the jewelry changed out, so I was pleased to see their top quality has not diminished in the least.

I got my eyebrow pierced here about 3 weeks ago by Vikki. She was great and was able to answer all of my questions since I was really nervous. I was nervous about going during Covid, but it was easy to make an appointment. There were a few other people at the same time I was (which I understand for the sake of efficiency). The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I believe that the jewelry for my eyebrow was fitted too tightly which made the healing process slightly harder than I expected. Other than that, i had a great experience.

They did an incredible job on my wifes nose piercing, making sure she felt safe and comfortable the whole time, helping her pick out her jewellery and providing an extremely professional, warm and reassuring environment.She also got her navel done here a few years ago, and it healed perfectly and sits beautifully on her body. They make sure they piece you somewhere it will look good with your jewellery choice, on your body.Theyre a little more expensive than most piercing places, but its definitely a case of You get what you pay for. Their jewellery is all extremely high-quality, and the staff clearly takes pride in their work. Well be using them for all our piecing needs, for sure!

I took my brother here to get his ears pierced. He has always wanted to but is terrified of needles. The staff was super helpful and professional, the place is absolutely spotless, and his piercer (Vicki, I think her name was) did a wonderful job! I will definitely be getting all of my future piercings done here too!

Ive had a few piercings done here, as well as quite a few friends, and the staff who actually do piercings are fabulous, clean, helpful, and supportive - basically everything you could ask for from someone who is putting sharp objects in your body. The jewelry selection is also fantastic. My issues are with the front staff, and their lack of attention to customers. I hate to give a 3* review but the last time I went - with my mother, who always wants to go here to buy earrings - she was repeatedly ignored by the front staff to the point they kept forgetting what she was asking for/wanted to buy and ended up having to ring her up twice after not letting her check her purchase until after she paid - with the excuse that it was against the law to touch earrings in public. Her credit card was frozen for fraud activity because she had to buy the other half of what she asked for separately because they were not listening to her at all. I should note there were three employees, and we were handed back and forth between all three despite being the only people in the shop other than one family who were getting their daughters ears pierced.

Seriously, AMAZING! I got my 3rd lobe piercing done by Brooke who was friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is very clean, and the piercing experience itself was completely sterile (she changed her gloves multiple times—in addition to fully disinfecting the area with both rubbing alcohol and iodine after moving away any stray hairs). I felt very comfortable with the experience, and would highly recommend this shop. This piercing went much more smoothly than my second lobe piercing which I had done with a gun instead of a needle (at a different place). Needless to say, there are some things you DO NOT cheap out on, and your body is one of them...

I had my ears pierced at Claires in middle school, but I let them close up for sports. The staff at Black Diamond were surprised at how well my ears had closed up (as I have been too), since the use of a real needle is the way piercings should be done. As a high school graduation present, my mother and sister brought me to Black Diamond. As soon as I entered the shop, I was greeted warmly and within five minutes someone helped me pick out earrings and Brooke prepped the piercing area. The woman helping me with the earrings explained what would work best for a first lobe piercing and how the earrings actually work (since they are flat backs). Brooke came out and introduced herself and took me back to the piercing room where my family was welcome as well. The room was SPOTLESS. Brooke walked me through after care as she put on gloves and prepared my ears (which totally calmed my nerves). She marked them perfectly on the first try. Brooke pierced my ears quickly and skillfully after making sure I was physically and mentally comfortable (and before she did/while she was still prepping my ears she was so clean and methodical, she changed her gloves twice!) She was so nice the whole time and was very calming for a person afraid of needles! I will definitely go back to Black Diamond if I get another piercing.

Ive been to this shop several times. Ive gotten several piercings here and have been pretty satisfied overall. However, this last visit really bothered me. I felt disrespected and unimportant. I went in for a new jewelry piece, specifically a nose hoop. One of the women told me the wait would be about an hour. I didnt have a problem with waiting that long--I arrived at 11:30 but needed to leave by 1:30. They needed to size me and insert the new jewelry--a process that would take maybe 10 to 15 minutes at most. I ended up waiting for 2 hours... I saw 3 people go in before me who had walked in AFTER ME. I brought this to her attention and she said, “well, we are busy today.” I told her I had seen several people go in who arrived after me and she just said, “well, they must have been put on the list before you.” NO. Im sorry. I saw them walk in AFTER me. I mean I was sitting there for 2 hours. I know when I was put on the list. I honestly think it had to do with the fact that they were spending more money than my simple insertion. I was going to buy a $160 piece from them but I ended up having to leave WITHOUT EVEN GETTING IN after waiting 2 HOURS and watching several people who arrived after me get helped. Unbelievable. It’s a shame that I got treated this way and its terrible to pick and choose who gets in first based on money spent. I told them I had to leave and the lady then told me I should come back next week and not on a weekend. Ok, sorry that people JUST buying jewelry aren’t important customers. I’m not going back.PS — I wish I could give a good review. Andie and Brooke are wonderful. They’ve done all my piercings and are very knowledgeable.

This is hands down the best place to get pierced in Connecticut. Though it’s pricey, you get what you pay for. The staff is so nice and informative. The whole process is very professional and everything is sterilized. Even the atmosphere is inviting and clean. Rob is such a great piercer and I will definitely be coming back here.

I will never get a piercing elsewhere ever again. All my other piercings were done by clearly incompetent people. Black diamonds staff is super knowledgeable and all around the best plane for any type of piercing. Honestly the only downside is how busy it is and they don’t advertise the jewelry online just so you can get idea of what they have in store.Since it so busy you have to wait to be shown jewelry which is great but I like to look then leave them decide and come back. So waiting to just look is semi inconvenient. But what are you gonna do. It’s worth it for their quality and amazing staff

A couple months ago I got my Daith pierced by Brooke. She did an amazing job and walked me through the whole process. You got welcomed in by the nicest people that show you what rings you can get. I hardly ever review business’s but I have never seen a piercing studio with this level of professionalism, expertise, cleanliness (like, cleaner than a hospital) and aesthetic beauty anywhere (and I’ve been to a LOT of piercing studios) - not to mention, they have a HUGE collection of beautiful top-quality jewelry! Plus they are APP certified, which means they have been held to the highest levels of health and safety standards and practices in the piercing industry. I wouldn’t let anyone modify my body or a loved one’s body that hasn’t been APP certified - and I can’t imagine going anywhere else than this stunning female-ran shop! I recommend them to everyone who compliments my piercings and jewelry. A+++

I got my belly button pierced here today and they were great! I am not one who gets a lot of piercings and am not good with needles. When I went in, I was extremely nervous and they helped me through it. They are very sanitary and personable people. I got my helix pierced on Saturday by Rob and it was amazing. I havent gotten anything pierced since my ears when I was 10 years old so I was a little nervous! Rob was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. The whole experience, from entering to leaving the shop, was 100% worth it. Ill definitely be coming back for more piercings in the future!!

This is the only piercing shop I go to, and there’s plenty others that are way closer to where I live. But this place is worth the trip! The staff is always extremely friendly and attentive. They certainly know their stuff and always answer my questions completely and honestly. I’ve been a here a few times and I’ve never had a bad experience. I always feel instantly comfortable and welcomed as soon as I walk through the door!

I’ve had all 4 of my piercings done at Black Diamond (2 helix- Brooke, conch- Rob, and daith- Vik). They come highly recommended across CT and their service/professionalism is unquestionable. Although the piercers can sometimes come off as “cold”, they’re very efficient and knowledgeable. Two weekends ago I went in for a jewelry change. The same day the ball on my orbital fell out. I was able to call and schedule an appointment to replace it with zero issues and no additional cost to me. The owner was awesome and easily found a solution to replace the gold ball without having to put in a steel ball and wait for a gold replacement.

Rob Gold is by far the most professional, knowledgeable and polite piercer I have ever met. He takes the time to tell you everything involved and explains in depth the procedures. He is the only reason Id go back. Front end staff are mostly polite however we called ahead to find out costs and were given misinformation. Bottom line, you WILL spend a LOT of money to get pierced here. Their jewelry is very expensive (worth it when Rob explained why the cost was high). But I hate going into a place prepared and getting told something altogether different when I arrive. Be prepared to spend at least $100 for any piercing. If you are looking for an intimate piercing, this is the go to place. However for your run of the mill piercings you will do better with cost at your local piercing salon.

I’ve had at least 7 piercings done at Black Diamond now- 3 upper cartilage, septum, stretched my lobes, and a third lobe just off the top of my head. I’ve never had anything but a great experience with *all* of the staff. Rob has done most of mine and he always takes the time to work with me on achieving whatever new look I’ve brought in as much as possible, but also makes sure the placement is perfectly correct. He’s straight forward and honest about whether certain placements could work or not, instead of just doing whatever I ask for and taking the money like most places do and I appreciate that. Yes I would say it’s more expensive than other (lesser quality) places, but this is a case of you seriously do get what you pay for. Client for life right here.

The piercing itself i received here last year was fine. However more recently when i was trying to purchase jewelry, they often did not return my calls when i left messages attempting to make an appointment and it took several calls before i was able to reach someone and schedule the appointment. Additionally, i arrived to a 2:45 appointment to purchase jewelry at 2:50. I was coming from out of town so hit some minor traffic that effected my arrival time, but still arrived within 5 minutes of whmy appointment time. I was told the staff were already on break and would not honor my appointment. I understand this may be store policy so i dont blame the staff, but i dont feel i could honestly recommend this shop due to these issues as it makes actually coming here a hassle.Edit: i am not sure why the shop double booking appointments is relevant here, as that is not my fault. Most other negative reviews here are in reference to this shops lack of flexibility, communication and responsiveness. Not having sufficient staff available to answer and return calls reflects poor management, as does double booking appointments and operating on a schedule so tight that lack of parking could cause you to lose an appointment.

Professional staff. Was hesitant getting my tongue pierced as my first piercing but I chose Black Diamond because they had the best reviews in CT. Was quick, painless, and overall pleasantly surprising. If I ever have another piercing done (unlikely) I will definitely come back. Also recommending them for my girlfriend.

Me and a friend of mine went here just yesterday and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgable and willing to help. The Studios were beautiful and full of intriguing art work and ridiculous amounts of jewelry to choose from. The studio is also very sanitary and our piercer Brooke was rad. Really happy that I went to Black Diamond for my lobe piercings! They took COVID precautions very seriously and everyone was so professional. You get what you pay for: it was definitely more expensive than I expected, but for the quality of work, material quality (all medical grade), cleanliness, and expertise (worked with Vikki and really grateful for her patience!), it was definitely worth it. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Black diamond is simply the best. Honestly dont even bother trying to go to a different shop. They are truly the most trustworthy shop with the best selection of jewelry that is high quality and long-lasting. I can say this with confidence because I have 15 piercings myself. Other shops in the Greater Hartford area have messed up my nipple piercings and my eyebrow piercing. Make an appointment with them and I promise you wont regret it

Ive gotten my second holes in my ears pierced and more recently my bellybutton pierced at the shop. All the piercings were done great and look fantastic. The customer service is great, the setup is really customer-friendly and all of the jewelry is on display for you to see. they even offer little Dum Dums. 😆 I recommend this piercing parlor to all of my friends who want to get piercings done because I found them to be not only the best rated but when I walked in everything was exactly as I had expected. They are very friendly, very clean and true to their word. My belly button took a little bit longer to heal and I ended up getting a slit infection. When I called them with my concerns theyre very calm and patient. They walked me through what happened and asked me what I was doing to find out if perhaps I was cleaning it i correctly or had exposed it to something before it was done healing. This all made me feel less anxious and more comfortable. With all that being said as I said before I would highly recommend this place to anybody. They are expensive but its well worth your money because youre going to go home with a great piercing, all of the facts you need for piercing care and all-around great experience.

Black Diamond Body Piercing is very professional and has really friendly people working as piercers and at the counter. Brooke was extremely nice and very good at what she does, and she made a repiercing that was totally painful the first time (which actually deterred me for ten years from getting it done again) virtually pain-free and fast.However, I was caught off-guard by the expense for earrings, which are apparently charged by front and back-- who wears half of an earring? When I emailed asking about the price ranges, I was told the cheapest lobe earring would be fifteen dollars, but that price apparently only referred to half of an earring. Anyway, I had a very good experience despite the high prices, which you get the sense the parlor is attempting to hide before you walk through its doors.

My only complaint is that I felt rushed to choose jewelry, and it seemed like my piercer was in a rush to get it done and get me out. They came out beautifully and I adore them (daith and conch) I just wish I could have connected with my piercer more as I want to come back!

Ive been coming to this place for years.... At first they came across as short and borderline unfriendly, but over the years I realized its nothing but pure professionalism. There are no candy coated fake smiles to win business here. These people are artists above all, and they stand by their work. As such, you might get turned away if what youre asking for isnt appropriate for your body or your lifestyle. They offer high quality jewelry as well as high quality service, and are as strict as possible when it comes to adhering to Health Code standards. Good piercings arent cheap... But cheap piercings arent good.

I originally pierced my nose here a couple of months ago and had to get it adjusted because it kept falling out. The person that I worked with tightened it so tight that I couldnt remove it a couple weeks after. (Not to mention he was disgustingly rude to me). Now that I cant remove it, I have been calling since August 7th, 2020. EVERYDAY. I have left several voicemails. No one has called me back. Not to mention the one time I did have someone pick up, they hung up once I said hello. This is beyond terrible service. I have never left a bad review with any establishment but they definitely earned it here. I actually recommend so many people here because Ive gotten several piercings here but not returning phone calls? Seriously?

I had the MOST AMAZING experience at this shop for two piercings. My nose and my tragus— still the best piercing parlor I’ve been to. Amazing service, great jewelry selection. They truly care about their customers. Can’t recommend enough!!!

Ive gotten almost all of my piercings done here and they were all done very well! the staff is very informative. the cost of the jewelry and piercings are a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it. good quality jewelry and lots of beautiful options to choose from.

Handled first ear piercing for a nervous 9 year old very well. Very professional and thoughtful.

Got my nostril done by Georgina almost a year ago and she was fantastic! She knew what she was doing and made the process so easy and comfortable for me.. she was very knowledgeable and confident in her work. All the piercing professionals are great!

The staff here are really professional and knowledgeable! The shop itself is super clean and following great COVID protocols. I would definitely recommend Black Diamond to everyone. I’m looking forward to coming back in a few months to get my nostril stud resized!

About 2 years ago I got a nose ring from black diamond piercing. Today, I went back to purchase a new nose ring and get it replaced and they wouldn’t let me because I had my baby with me. How ridiculous is that? I ended up going to the beauty mark in Canton, CT and they were great. It literally took them 2 seconds to change and they let me have my baby with me. I would not recommend to go to black diamond for any service.

Cleanest and most professional place. They really know their stuff. A bit pricy, but definitely worth being done correctly. My piercer Brooke made me feel at ease and explained everything thoroughly. I will never go anywhere else for piercings!

Got my 6 year old daughters ears pierced here and it was far better than a crowded mall. It costs a little more, but you get what you pay for. We got friendly staff, almost painless piercing (she cried after it was done for about a minute), high quality jewelry, a manual she was able to read and understand for keeping her ears cleaned, and jewelry that hasnt snagged on anything. Ill bring my younger here when shes old enough. Thanks Andie Reya is very happy and so am I.

Just went in today to get my ears pierced. Had them done at a mall kiosk as a child and they were uneven making it impossible to wear dangly earrings. I really wanted them redone and evened out for my wedding tis October. They did such a wonderful job. Everyone was very friendly. It was very clean and the materials were properly sterilized. The piercer was very friendly and informative.The jewelry was on the expensive side but worth it as you know youre getting good quality. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who needs a piercing.

Every piercing I’ve had since I was 19 has been here. I’ve pierced my septum twice, and hd my conch, nostril, and tragus done. Every piercing was done with care, kindness, and extreme finesse. I’ve also shopped here for jewelry and get nonstop compliments on my BVLA pieces, all purchased here. I’m so grateful to have a place I can trust with professional and welcoming staff so close to me. I would 100% travel for this same experience.

Area was inflamed as soon as it was pierced. Piercer knew b/c suggested taking ibuprofen w/saying I am not a medical person Longer post not placed at that time. Their directions were followed & came down to less than 3 weeks later having to have skin cut off b/c it was over the piercing. I went back to this fine establishment & there were 3 different people taking to me. Not taking any responsibility regarding there part. I do not recommend going to this establishment just b/c they are in West Hartford. It just means they will charge you more. Not do a better job than other places. Plus you dont have to pay for attitude.
