I called to ask if they accepted walk-ins. They do!!! I arrived at the shop. It was super busy. My 1st impression was the store front. Very appealing. Inside it didn’t disappoint. It smelled clean. It looked clean. IT IS CLEAN! I showed my idea. And requested that the artist put their own spin on the idea. My artist was Raf and he did his thing!! He was super nice and gave his opinion about placement and size. I’m stupid happy to have this small dainty tattoo.I appreciate their good vibes and positive attitudes towards customers. I will definitely be back.

All artists also have great portfolios. I recently had a bruce lee cover-up done ( pat B) and I was impressed with it. Before and after Pictures included. Great studio!

Highly recommend this place! We had a great experience with Raf. My mom and I got a matching tattoo and it was our first one. He was super patient, answered all of our questions and eased our anxiety. He was very professional and the shop was so clean. Overall awesome experience and would definitely get my next tattoo here!

I had a wonderful experience with Zack. His attention to detail and his compassion for his clients is outstanding. I am getting work done on a tattoo that I had previously. He has taken great time and effort to plan each next move accordingly, and I am very grateful for his help. he has tattooed. A very beautiful geometric pattern on me, his hand is steady and he does great lines. We also had great conversation throughout the appointment. I couldnt recommend this place more. As someone whos never gotten a tattoo before, they couldnt have made it simpler for me. The level of quality and attention to detail for the price I paid was incredible. Getting a consultation and appointment was a breeze. Everyone I interacted with were professional and friendly. The artist I worked with was Mike Scarpati, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience - super friendly, super chill, great to talk. Seriously, Id recommend him for anyone wanting a tattoo, but if youre a Star Wars fan, hes the one you want doing your ink.

I first went to shamrock in late 2019 off a recommendation from some friends. I havent been to another shop since. Jay is great, always a good conversation, and does quality work. Fairly priced too. Couldnt recommend enough.

I got a tattoo from on my left arm from here. The artists here have many years of experience and probably the best in Hartford area. My Friend also got his tattoo done a week ago. He also loves it.

I’m a pretty “square” person and never thought I’d get a tattoo EVER…?yet here I am at age 52 getting her first tattoo. My daughter asked me to get matching fairy tattoos to commemorate a special memory of us making fairy houses together when she was little. Mike Scarpati was excellent and he understood the assignment! We had a picture and he did an AMAZING job!!! He really took great care to make sure we had a great experience, even down to making sure we ran across the street for pizza since we both had empty stomachs and he didn’t want us passing out. I was terrified of it hurting and it was so much easier than I expected and not painful at all - and I’m a needlephobe. Everyone in the shop is very nice and even though we waited quite a bit (we did not have an appointment) I actually found it fascinating to watch them work. It is a very clean place, I thought the prices were reasonable, and if I ever want another tattoo I will definitely go back to Mike. Thanks again!

Recently got a new Tattoo done here by Pat. He was such a friendly and helpful guy in both getting my appointment set and doing an amazing job on the tattoo itself. I definitely plan on visiting here again in the future to have more work done.

After getting out of the military, I was bouncing around trying to find a shop that I like and felt comfortable with. I also had some work done overseas that I had a hard time finding someone to trust to continue on with the theme back here in the states. After looking around and doing some research, I came upon Shamrock. I really liked what I saw from all the artists there so I decided to reach out and made an appointment with Jay. That was over 6 years ago and I haven’t been anywhere or to anyone else since. Jay has done both of my sleeves, a left leg piece, and a half leg sleeve so far and is currently working on a back piece. If you’re looking for a shop that does it all then give Shamrock a try. The staff are all pretty cool people and the shop is clean as well.

I came here for my very first tattoos and could not have been happier. Mike was my artist and he made the entire experience pleasant and enjoyable! He designed three varying size butterflies for me and took his time ensuring I liked the placement and design. He was very informative and I left confident knowing how to care for it after leaving the shop. Almost a year later it is healed perfectly and even though it’s fine like style I didn’t need touch ups! I will be coming back shortly for another piece. Went to see Jay at Shamrock todayHe did a tattoo for my 18 year old daughter as a memorial for her grandmother Jay is a total professional and the only person I would ever trust to tattoo my daughter (I am very protective) He was informative, professional, let her take a break when she needed one and she was thrilled to get this done today. I highly recommend Jay or anyone at this shop for any iof your tattoo needs first timer like my daughter or a seasoned vet like myself. Overall great experience as always.

I had a few tattoos done before I went to Shamrock Tattoo. However, this is the best experience I have ever had. My artist was Jay, the owner. He was so incredibly good. First, he helped me fix one of my of previous tattoos that I was not very happy with. He knew exactly how to improve its appearance. He also helped me with the sizes and placements of my new tattoos. Jay does such a good job, there was little pain for the new tattoos. The price was incredibly good. If you want a tattoo done by a professional who knows what he is doing, make an appointment with Jay. He is simply the best!!! I am looking forward to my next tattoos with Jay. Once you walk into this shop, you will never want a tattoo from anywhere else!! Everything about this shop is amazing! The artists in the shop is very enthusiastic and very talented. Any style of tattoo can be done and all of them are at the highest quality. Last month was my first time at Shamrock. A friend of mine recommended them. I was looking to add some kind of flower piece to my shoulder. Jay Kelly did the flowers and they were absolutely beautiful! I would love to add more when the time is right. Every artist there is incredible and SO chill to hang with. Did a lot of research before deciding to come here and Im happy I did! Felt I needed to get a very important tattoo for my husband that passed and it meant everything that it was done perfectly and I was not disappointed! Greg was amazing, professional, polite, honest and took his time with you. More importantly that he is a prestige artist which I needed and was hoping to find and I did! I was so happy with his first tattoo that I came back the next day and did another! He is now my go to guy and will be returning to shamrock and letting friends and family know where to go as well! All I can say is “wow.” I had a small issue with scheduling and the owner reached out himself and took care of it ASAP. He ended up tattooing me himself and he also put a stencil on my three year old because she wanted a tattoo like mommy. Absolutely amazing service. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend.

Ive been coming to Shamrock for about a year now, and every visit Ive had has been great. I get all of my work done by Greg, and I cant recommend him enough as an artist. Hes insanely talented, patient and respectful when it comes to tattooing. His passion shows in his work and attitude towards his craft. Ive gotten around 15 tattoos done by him, and every one of them has come out terrific. The shop itself has a great vibe. The staff there is super friendly, and have a really cool dynamic. This is a very nice clean tattoo shop. I came in a few weeks and I was greeted with smiles and it was very clean and professional. I went on a Saturday and just did a walk in and ended up getting tattooed by Jay. He is very nice and friendly and takes tattoos and designs them so they have a personal touch. I just had another appointment with him and he did four tattoos on me and they came out amazing. I walked out of the shop with another appointment booked with him. All the staff is friendly and takes time to draw tattoos up and makes sure it’s the right placing and size and exactly what you want before they start tattooing. Now that I found them I will never go any place else.Thank you so much!

I’ve been here twice in the past few months for new tattoos. I came in with ideas, but nothing put together fully. Jay Kelly, the owner, made my ideas come to life. Met Pat back in 2018 when I had zero tattoos. I now have both arm and leg sleeves lol. He got recommended to me by a friend because he’s great at portraits, but he’s literally made anything I could think of a reality. I stopped by, the day before yesterday- see my father past away I want to get a tattoo there- I met Greg and he gave me a great price and was very professional and seems like a cool dude but unfortunately the team there is booked and Im flying back soon to Florida- but getting back to my point it was my first time going there and the team there and the vibes were just so positive. Such a great place! We walked in and were able to get started within 15 minutes. The waiting room has a pool table which was pretty cool. The artists are great; Greg even took the picture of the tattoo I wanted and made it better! Really great experience. Very reasonable prices. Fantastic for first timers!

Got my second tattoo from John last week I can only describe the experience and his work as fantastic. I knew pretty much the design I wanted and gave him a few images that I had. There were some modifications I wanted to make and John was very painstaking in preparing the template which came out perfectly. In the process of actual tattooing, he made some further modifications that were truly astounding and produced a tattoo that I couldn’t possibly imagine to be more beautiful. I give him the highest recommendation. I will be back for more work by John

Update September 2020. Inspiration arrived. Two more tattoos from Pat at Shamrock. He is a talented craftsman and did some fine line work on me that is commendable. Covid changed the experience a bit, less folks, strict appointment only policy and face masks required. Great place, great artist. You won’t be disappointed.September 2017. 15th tattoo, first one at Shamrock. I’ve been collecting for many years, 47 to be precise, and my three artists to date have retired from the business. So, after reading stellar reviews, I decided to try my local shop. In a word, outstanding. Joe gave me a quality tattoo and was professional and courteous and willing to work with me to ensure I was pleased with the outcome. Most excellent work. Good atmosphere. I know where I’m going when I’m next inspired.

I have gotten several tattoos done by Greg at Shamrock and have found the shop and the other artists there to be excellent. The shop is decorated like the shops of yesteryear and is extremely clean. A fine line establishment is exactly what you should expect. Today was the third time Ive had work done by them, and yet again the end result has exceeded my expectations! Shamrock is incredibly clean and filled with nothing but the best artists. I love this place!! I got a entire thigh piece from Jay and it’s amazing, my favorite tattoo I have. He knows what he does and is excellent at that. Greg was fantastic. I went in to get my first tattoo and brought a picture with me of what I wanted. I only had to tell him once what I was envisioning and he nailed it. I went a few weeks ago to get a copy of my dogs paw print on my wrist. I came in with two different samples, asked for my favorite part of each one to be combined into one. I believe the artist I saw was Tre? (The signature on the business card is really hard to read...) he quickly made a perfect match using the samples I gave him. The tattoo came out awesome and I absolutely love it. Im even going back today to get a tattoo touched up that was done at a different shop that I am displeased with. I highly recommend Shamrock

First off, if you dislike women, maybe this place is really for you.Everyone else should know the owner makes terrible business decisions based off of his petty and paranoid wife. There are plenty of quality shops in the area that respect their employees and wouldn’t try to blow up the lives of professional and talented female artists based off of imaginary drama.

The shop is always kept clean and the artists are all very helpful in choosing the best design. I followed Greg Paradis to the shop and I wouldnt consider going anywhere else. Greg has immersed himself into the history behind tattooing more than any artist I know. Definitely worth a stop 👍🏻

I never really post about things like this, but if you are looking for a shop in the area, these guys are great. Theyve been taking care of me for years and Ive never left the shop dissatisfied. Slowly but surely building up a sleeve, but Ill be sure that its finished up at Shamrock!

Great customer service the second you walk in the door. I’ve been tattooed at Shamrock a handful of times and have never had a bad experience. Definitely go check them out!

Greg is an excellent artist have gotten multiple tattoos from him over the past 3yrs and always easy to work with and very clean work. He should be mentioned a little more all artist here are great very reasonable price.

More great work by Jay Kelly. When I was there the shop had people that had come from Rhode Island for a Tattoo and one was on his way from NY. that says something about there work.

Cool shop...fair prices! Jay has done a great job on a bunch of work for me. I trust him completely to help me figure out and design those ideas in my head. I wont go anywhere else.

So disappointed to know that misogyny runs rampant in this shop. I prefer to be tattooed by a female, but since female artists are discriminated against and driven away by no fault of their own and due to the insecurities of the owner’s wife I will not be returning.

One year later & I still can’t forget about the time one of the artists (Jay I think?) threw a temper tantrum because his hands were shaking and I didn’t like how unclean his design came out. So unprofessional, my friend and I were too stunned to speak.

Great overall first experience!! Very welcoming and respectful staff... Got exactly what I wanted and in a very timely fashion! Greg was a pleasure to work with and I’ll definitely be going back for the next!

Stopped in for my first tattoo after deciding on the crown from the Born Sinner album cover. Its missing minor details, but its still cool. I guess it was hard to copy the image to a T.
