Kennedy pierced my ears several months ago at 6g, and just like the other times Ive come across her in the service industry, she went above and beyond to make sure that I left happy. 6 months later, Ive followed her directions on ear stretching and am now at 0g with 0 issues and couldnt be more thrilled about it. I have opinions about the studio itself but Kennedys professionalism and friendliness as well as her continued investment in her clients makes me happy to leave 5 stars in case anyone else who wants to get pierced reads this.Happy healing!

Crystal was VERY GOOD!! She made me feel SO comfortable as we decided on what kind/type of tattoo would be perfect for me. I am very happy with the outcome of my tattoo and will be back again! She is awesome as a person and actually cares about her clients and will take the time to be with you and not rush at all! I feel like if you choose Crystal she will treat you like family because of how patient she is and how I bonded with her! You will not regret going to black raven!! If I could give 0 stars I would.The owner responded to this review saying clearly you had a reaction but also blamed *me* because no one told her that this had happened, and said that the artist who did this to me doesnt even work there anymore, which shows just how much they stand behind the artists they employ and how much they care about how their customers are treated. If it was so obvious I had a reaction from the same images I sent Jimbo last year as I took them, it only looks worse for the studio that he never said as much to me, or raised a concern with literally anyone that I was having a reaction. He just told me to stop moisturizing and let it heal on its own. She *did* offer me to come in for a touch up with them, though, for whatever thats worth, but only after she blamed *me* for her former artist brutalizing my forearm and not telling his boss about how badly damaged it was.I also will say, tho, that the owner has publicly been very nasty to other people who left poor reviews, so buyer beware. It seems like if they mess something up and get a bad review theyll just blame it on the customer instead of taking responsibility.original review:I had some writing done on my right forearm by Jimbo and I dont know what exactly happened, but I suspect he somehow both overworked my arm while also not packing enough ink because it got the thickest crustiest scabs the first night I slept. I followed all the aftercare instructions and tried to get him to look at it again but he cancelled the followup and I had to make do with just texting pics. Ultimately it healed patchy and the first bit he did (he changed needles almost immediately when he first started) is still outlined in red with very little colour (it was meant to be a very dark brown) a full year later. I know I could have gone back for a free touchup but after how brutalized my skin was the first time I didnt exactly want to let him have a second go.

Great experience from the first phone call to book. Scotty was funny and did a great job on my sons first tattoo.

Kennedy pierced my 10 year olds ears for her. She made her comfortable and reassured her the whole time. It was such a great experience! Not a single tear was seen and she said it was just a slight poke. No pain! Already recommended her to a few others that have children looking to get their ears pierced. 😀

Had Kennedy give my son a nostril piercing. It was painless and very professionally done. My son loved it and would recommend her to anyone. I also got my first ever tattoo from Scotty. It was very well done and I am very pleased as a first time tattoo customer.

Amber is excellent for piercings! She did my double tragus. She is very sweet and takes her time to ensure that you are comfortable. Always responsive to any questions you may have and extremely accommodating. She has taken my healing very seriously and been there every step of the way.

Kennedy pierced my 6 year old daughter’s ears and let me tell you that this piercer works miracles! My daughter didn’t even cry. She was engaging, patient, informative and did a great job with the piercing placement. It was quick and easy which I never imagined it could be. Highly recommend!

I recently had a large tattoo done by Crystal at Black Raven. I’m absolutely obsessed with it! the vibe in the studio was so fun and easy going, but also very professional. I knew I was in good hands. I felt so comfortable with her and the rest of the staff.We were able to collaborate our ideas, and with her feedback, And open mindedness to be creative and challenge herself, the tattoo turned out super original and so much better than what I’d imagined.the Pricing is more than competitive also! I bet other studios would’ve charged twice what I paid.10/10 will recommend to everyone.

I just got my Lebret pierced by Kennedy. Super clean and she talked me through everything and didn’t rush me at all even though i redid the placement 3 times definitely will be coming back!!

Originally I wasnt going to make this. I ensured the owner that I wasnt because I thought I had an issue with only one of my piercings. I got my angel bites piercings over a month ago. I had been specific, I do not want angel fangs. I want angel bites. Both were pierced extremely vertically and through my actual top lip. At first I thought maybe I wasnt giving them the benefit of the doubt so I had it looked at by my piercer I usually go to (which now I regret going to black raven instead of my usual piercer.) And was actually told not one has to be done BUT BOTH. When I came there it was clear kennedy was shakey and nervous. When she pierced it there was more blood than I had ever had out of a piercing but she said it was a small amount, so whatever. I discarded it. When I got home, the swelling never went down, it would randomly bleed in the middle of the night and throughout the day- Im talking a large amount of blood. I took it out after a week hoping that if I did the blood would subside. Instead taking it out caused an ER trip. I did reach out to the piercing shop and Kennedy while this was actively happening. The owner was upset (rightfully so) and gave me instructions to go to the doctor and firmly press on it, which if I hadnt- I truly think I wouldve passed out since I was already very very dizzy. MY REVIEW DOES NOT REFLECT ON THE TATTOO ARTISTS. JUST THAT PIERCER. I think crystal handled it as well as she could and even checked in after my visit. Crystal relayed the information to Kennedy ( which who at that point had still not messaged me back at that point) and when I said I was in the hospital or something along those lines- she said I know, crystal told me. She didnt check in after hearing from crystal without me having to upright repeatedly messaging her because I was angry. Kennedy had hit a nerve. A nerve she reassured me she couldnt feel for or see. After assessing the damage with other piercers and my usual piercer, she should have seen it and it wasnt hard to miss. I had to get stitches over my lip and fluids. She continued to keep my picture of my piercings up until I contacted her and the black raven tattoo page. (My opinion doesnt reflect black raven, I think a lot of them are talented.) But the piercer shouldnt be a piercer. After all that, I was left with one last piercing that was yeah, pierced uneven and pierced into my ACTUAL lip. She had made really really far apart uneven angel fangs. I had to take it out TODAY, after being told the piercing would most likely not fully ever heal and it was not pierced correctly at all. Now im stuck with unsavory scars that couldve been avoided if she did it right. And i have to wait to get them repeirced so the tissue can heal. But ultimately ill have to get them in a totally different spot than the original placements. So now i truly wont be able to have the piercings i wanted. I am out the money and time I spent getting the piercing, as well as an ER bill. I do appreciate crystal for reaching out and being so helpful through everything. Lots of people have been effected by this piercer according to Facebook, and you should definitely look up the posts on their botched piercings. and i truly think once they get a new piercer this place will be top notch. Edit: since you want to blatantly lie and say I didnt take care of my piercings, that reflects on your buisness. Get an actual good piercer. Maybe I should have the rest of the people who got their piercings from her write on here as well. Lol. Ridiculous. And nvm about thanking crystal. You guys are snakes. Kennedy saw there was a lot of blood after the piercing and said it was normal, so i was under the impression it was normal. After kennedy was contacted about the piercing (when I told crystal) she still didnt respond till i again mentioned it. I hope you guys get closed down.

I recently had two pieces done by Madison and what an experience! Firstly, Madison absolutely killed it with both pieces and I keep looking at them and cheesing from cheek to cheek but that’s not what was truly special about my visit. The artist are amazing and fun. We all laughed and joked for the entirety of the two-ish hours I was there. It was like hanging with friends I’ve known for years. It is a woman owned business which is really cool and it’s like walking into a perpetual Halloween. I will be going back for future pieces. I’m in love with this place.

Called and got a last minute appointment for a septum jewelry change with Amber today. She took great care of me, even though she wasn’t the one who originally did the piercing. I wish I found her sooner. Her room was clean, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took her time, making sure I was comfortable. And I LOVE that she walked me through everything she was doing. Will definitely be using her/recommending her for all future piercings

Im not a person who writes reviews for anything but this place is worth the effort….I was looking for a reputable place that does piercings and I stumbled upon Black Raven Studio. The google reviews were are very positive and with a 4.8/5 rating, I decided to make an appointment. Believe me when I tell you...this place is the best piercing/tattoo shop I have ever been to, in the 20+ years I’ve been getting piercings and tattoos.Making an appointment with piercer Kennedy was quick and easy. During the appointment, she took the time to answer questions and she was professional, kind and gentle. While we were waiting, we had a lot of fun hanging out and talking with the staff. I’ve also been looking for a new tattoo artist that would be able to do a half sleeve and some cover up work. After speaking with the tattoo artist Crystal and looking through her albums of past work, I am beyond excited to get my next tattoo!

Crystal is an outstanding artist. I waited 15 years to find the right artist to cover up a bad tattoo. She absolutely killed it. Shes not afraid of a challenge at all and worked with me every step of the way. She didnt just tell me no; she told me when she didnt like a reference picture and why for my specific situation. We had a 10 hour session and it felt like hanging out the whole time. She will be finishing my sleeve without a doubt!

Crystal was amazing, stayed late for us and fit us in with no notice. She did an amazing job! We will both be back for sure!!

I LOVE this shop so much! Ive been getting tattooed by Mads for years now. You might wait a minute for a spot, but its 100% worth the wait! Amazing tattooers are hard to come by, so patience is a good thing here! I highly recommend her for bigger pieces, as her style and sense of her clients are both impeccable!

Both me and my daughter got piercings today by Kennedy and she did an amazing job! Daughter got her 3rds on her lobes and I got my daith on the left side. Kennedy was personalable, professional and quick. We will be back!!

I highly recommend this studio! They’re very clean and know what they’re doing! Allison designed my tattoo for me using specific flowers and a specific type of butterfly and she killed it! I wanted to make sure someone else wasn’t walking around with the same tattoo as me and I can guarantee mine is one of a kind! Amber did mine and my friends piercings and we couldn’t be happier! She made sure we all we’re comfortable with the entire process and she had us check the placement of everything before she started! I will definitely be back for more tattoos and more piercings

It was a fantastic experience! Our artist was Jimbo he was the best! Our work is perfect! My husband and I got ancient rune symbols for our wedding anniversary and we couldnt be happier. The shop was very clean and well kept. Pricing was very fair also. Looking forward to going back in and getting more work done!

We brought our 8 year old to get her ears pierced for the first time and they were amazing! Very patient and kind. She was nervous to get it done and the owner and the piercer were so comforting. I highly recommend Black Raven!

Went here for a 5 hour tattoo with Maddie, she met more than my expectations. Made me feel very comfortable and extremely friendly, all and all one of my favorite places I have gotten tattooed at. A very clean shop and super cute on the inside! I hope to come back again soon to get another tattoo, an extremely great experience!

I went and got a tattoo today from (Crystal ) when I tell you this women is freaking awesome I mean just that. I was so nervous but she really put me at ease. They have this tattoo cream that was sooooooo helpful because I got a big tattoo. She took her time and I absolutely LOVE my tattoo. I would recommend her for sure. I got my nose pierced by Jaiden a couple weeks ago and he did a great job!I came back and got a tattoo by Mads which I absolutely love and will definitely be coming back to this shop. Everyone is very friendly and the place is very clean!

Terrible customer service. Booked an appointment a week prior had and get a text the day of the appointment asking to switch my time because he had booked someone else already at that time. Normally ok not too bad it happens, but it was for a birthday gift that’s been long awaited and now has ruined the day completely.

Sappy did my first tattoo yesterday and I’m so beyond happy with it (way better than the vision I had). I was very nervous to get my first tattoo but she made me feel so comfortable and let me watch my favorite movie during my appointment. I can’t wait to book with her again :)

I am so glad I went to Black Raven for my tattoo. Crystal did a great job putting together my piece. It was exactly what I had pictured. She didnt just slap something on like many places do, or rush my tattoo. I felt very comfortable in her shop. Crystal has high expectations for herself as well as her staff. If you get your tattoo here you will not be disappointed.

I worked with Crystal and had a great experience! I needed an old ugly tattoo covered and she took the time to really work with me and find the best cover up design. She truly cares about how the final tattoo will look and does not just “slap” something on there, lol. she incorporated some water color into the design and the color is amazing. So very happy with my new tattoo and cannot stop looking at it :) btw she got a new sign for the studio and it’s amazing...cannot miss it from the street :)

Madison is really great. She’s personable, can carry on a conversation, and genuinely cares about making art that pleases you. I am very happy with what she did and will be returning for more artwork!

This is the cleanest, most comfortable tatoo shop I’ve been to. Crystal and her staff are so talented! I never feel out of place or on edge when I am there! I have referred everyone I know to her and I will never go anywhere else!

First experience here and it was a great experience. Ive been getting tattoos since the 80s and this is a good shop. Autumn was great. Fun, funny, easy to get a long with. Prices are very fair and her work is great! Recommend!

I scheduled an appointment with the owner (Crystal) for a nostril piercing. She had scheduled me on a time they weren’t even open and didn’t show up until a couple minutes before the shop even opened. I didn’t even realize they weren’t even supposed to open until 1p either. When I wrote her a message I was there I got no response. Due to Covid I didn’t want to just walk-in. Also it was raining so I had waited in my car. I am mainly upset that she was late and I never got a response back. Won’t be returning here.

Everyone was very welcoming. Crystal took great care of us! This is our tattoo place from now on!

Best shop around, Crystal the owner does mine, my boyfriends, our nieces, and multiple friends tattoos and kills it everytime. She keeps great artists in shop besides herself. Recommend 10/10!!!
