Mondo Ink Tattoo

As a person with a considerable amount of tattoos and having dealt with a plethora of different artists over the years, I can honestly say that Mondo Ink ranks among the top tier on the lines of professionalism, public relations, cleanliness, and talent that I have done business with. I went in at 12:30 p.m. for what turned into a cover-up, and Ray turned what was a 16 year old embarrassment into a work of art and made several additions freehand. The session lasted 6 1/2 hrs, and Ray only took a single break, which was on my call. Most other artists work for an hour or a bit longer and then need a smoke break, etc. The tattoo exceeded my expectations, and we will be returning in the near future. We were excited to get married Friday the 13! We stopped by to get tattoos and they turned out amazing. I was unsure were to put my tattoo but was given guidance and advice from Monodo. The flash sale was chaotic but he managed to push multiple people in and out the door with clean and amazing tattoos. We thought we would get a call when it was our turn but it was a misunderstanding. I think the sign in sheet/calling waitlist is a wonderful idea, though. Maybe you guys could do something similar to the idea and send a text to the next person when there’s two people ahead of them. If they aren’t at the shop in time that’s their own fault. Having just the few people gathered in the shop was cramped. Still, it was warm and welcoming compared to the rain and cold outside! Thank you for celebrating our special day with us Monodo!

I have 5 tattoos from mondo now but I got my first tattoo done by him when he first opened in friend, ne hes come along ways and I absolutely LOVE my art work from him I cant wait to get more done.! Hes an amazing artist

Omg I love my tattoo I got on his Friday the 13th sale. Hes really nice and friendly and had plenty of different tattoos to choose from. He is very quick also mine only took 15 - 20 minutes. Would recommend to any one.

Mondo seems to be a very likable guy and appears to be decent artist based on the work I have seen.  However, his Friday the 13th Flash Sale was executed poorly.His girlfriend was running the desk.  She was very nice and polite although, a little passive.  Mondo didnt communicate a last minute change to her  (I.e; Calling people when their name came up on the list not being allowed for this particular event) despite it being listed on the walk in sheet. He stated I dont know who told him that. When a man named CJ called to ask why he wasnt called for his turn. This was rectified with an offer to complete the tattoo tomorrow. (They promised a handful of people calls. I am not certain he offered this to the others.) He clearly didnt plan for this to an issue given that he stated multiple times that he wasnt planning to do 50 tattoos today He didnt have the supplies among other things.  The tattoo designs offered varied from extremely simple to intricately detailed thus, tattoo times varied from 12-45 minutes.  Ultimately, defeating the point of a flash sale.  (All designs should have been similar in simplicity. Mondo should apologize to his girlfriend for his poor planning and putting her in seemingly uncomfortable situations. I also hope he learns how he can host events like this in the future in a way that will be a better experience for himself, his girlfriend and his tattooees.* I dont believe this is a bad shop based on this one experience.  However,  this is a business review and the only experience I have to base said review on is this event.  It may have been successful for the shop and Im glad.  I personally think a quality, successful artist is an awesome asset to our community. Obviously, good tattoos make people happy.  I hope the kinks will be worked out by the time you host another large event.  Obviously, services were not rendered because I was not willing to wait 6-7 hours for a 26$ tattoo. (Even though I believe it would have been good quality.)  I do have an experience with the shop thus I can rate the business fairly.It was absolutely your girlfriend at the desk and neither of you were on the same page in regards to call backs.  If the sheet you had people put their name on was not for events like this then why was that information still visible on the form?  Why did your girlfriend tell people they would get a call when it was their turn? There were two people that signed in around 530 that were promised calls. Thats 7 hours before the event ended. You should advertise the guidelines specific to this event or at least have them on paper upon arrival.  Dodging responsibility doesnt change the poor execution.  You could own it and do better.  I think this shop has great potential.  Art work is awesome*

Went is looking to get a tattoo. And he help me figure out a design to go with what I wanted. Great work. Very nice atmosphere. And takes his time to make sure you get what you want. Very nice guy to work with. Will recommend to people.

Went and had a Friday the 13th tattoo done. One of the best experiences I have had and I have gone to many tattoo shops. I will definitely be booking another tattoo with him soon! 10/10 highly recommend

Very helpful and professional when doing the double bar piercing in my upper ear. Is very meticulous when keeping things clean and sterile with what he is working with.
