I have come to Maria tash for years now and always have a good experience. I most recently went yesterday to get a third lobe piercing on my birthday and once again amazing experience. Everyone is always so nice there. Nikki was my piercer and I couldn’t recommend her more. She was very particular and took her time to make sure the placement was perfect and also downsized a couple of my previous piercings which was much appreciated. 10/10 will be back again!

Had a great experience walking in for a quick lobe piercing! Caroline was so friendly and welcoming and helped me pick jewelry, and Niki was super professional, detail oriented, and kind while doing the piercing. A great experience! I love my new piercing and could not recommend the team at Maria Tash enough — would love to come back for more piercings in the future.

Gorgeous jewelry and fantastic service. Amazing choice selection and super friendly staff. Caroline and Ashley were the absolute greatest!! Got a second lobe piercing on both sides and two sets of simple rose gold hoops. Ended up with the skinny hoops and slightly larger knife edge, but my mom got studded eating and she loves hers even more than I love mine! Would highly recommend to everyone I know

As a long-time fan of Maria Tash and a frequent customer, I want to share an important piece of advice for anyone purchasing their jewelry. I recently bought a 9.5mm diamond eternity hoop, but unfortunately, I lost it shortly after. The issue stemmed from a faulty click closure that didn’t click as tightly as it should’ve, even though the hoop seemed securely closed.If you notice any issues with clasps or screws, make sure to address them before your piercer puts the jewelry on. Always inspect the jewelry thoroughly and request a replacement if anything seems off. It’s crucial to ensure that everything works as it should to avoid losing it like I did:’(

Got my first nose piercing done here. The experience was so exceptional that I joked Id be back the next time i was in town. Everyone was so kind, patient, professional, and knowledgeable, and the space was so clean that i didnt feel nervous at all getting the piercing. couldnt have asked for a better experience!

I have had 4 piercing done at Maria Tash in the past 4 months. I had really been wanting a helix piercing but was on the fence because the last time that I went for it, it got infected and I had to take it out, but I was in NYC for Thanksgiving and we were walking by Maria Tash, so I thought why not! Jorge helped me pick out a fabulous marquis hoop for my helix piercing and I decided to throw in an invisible set diamond stud for a 4th lobe piercing. I enjoyed my experience so much that I went back to visit Jorge when I was in NYC in February for work and we added a conch and tragus piercing to my ear party. I had two different piercing specialists and they were both great. The piercing studios were super clean and they made sure I was at ease before beginning the process. Had a really great experience here both times and am looking forward to the Houston location opening!

It’s was a great experience overall! Amy was so patient with me. She helped me style my ear within my budget and was super sweet. The service is great, they even explained how the jewelry worked compared to the ones I already had. Elijah (I hope I spelled that right, sorry) was an absolute gem. I got pierced in their studio next door and he was very thorough about the process. Everything was sterilized and great. Would recommend.

I live in Chicago so was very excited to visit the NYC store while in town and see the pieces in person. You meet with a specialist who helps choose pieces, so be prepared to perhaps wait for availability.I had the pleasure of working with Tanja. She helped me select a nice stud for my second piercing and hoops for my main piercing. I adore how they look together.Tanja was even available to me within 12 hours when I had a question about one of my pieces once home. The level of customer service and the quality of diamonds made the experience worth the wait.Thank you, Tanja!

I have several piercings from Maria Tash. I think the piercers and designers consistently do a great job. Most recently, Lydia and Dave provided outstanding customer service at the Broadway store. I had an inspiration picture. They took the time to pick out the right pieces and placement that fit my ear. I felt like they both were invested in my satisfaction as a customer. They wanted me to love the design and took the time to ensure I did. It is was just above and beyond my expectations.

5 star piercing experience, zero star shopping experience. Came in with high expectations based on what I saw on website and Instagram, as well as their prices, but yes absolutely no shopping experience, no constructive recommendations from “stylist”, you have to ask very specific what you are looking for and I need to ask several times to see how those earrings look on my ears; they seem to have zero enthusiasm and yes I am quite disappointed

Caroline the sales associate is very patient and kind, she was giving me great suggestions she’s very professional and helpful. The piercer carolina has a very professional hand she didnt hurt me at all and she is very sanitary and makes sure everything is clean, she gave me clear instructions for the piercings.

Alexis was super helpful in answering all my questions and giving his opinion when I needed some input on styling. Originally I came in for a daith but they had a piercer look at my anatomy and advised I’m not suited for it. I appreciate the honesty greatly. I settled for a beautiful demi aspara to go in my conch arranged in a way that it’ll look similar to a daith.Gabriel was my piercer and he was an absolute gem, so kind and patient! He showed me two different options on the conch to see which positioning I liked more, and I went back and forth multiple times having a hard time deciding but he patiently held the earrings in the prongs to show me. I was surprised but the piercing part was almost painless, just a very mild pressure that quickly passed. Think it hurt less than my lobe piercing from another piercer last year even! Probably just a testament to how great he is at piercing.Can’t wait to come back again to get my next piece!

I was here in June and came to swap out a few piercings. First of all, one of my helix piercings got infected right after, my lobe piercing fell out, and now my nose piercing fell out. Not sure if jewelry is poor quality or if the piercer is to blame. Very disappointed and will not be returning or buying anymore Maria Tash pieces ever again. **Edited to add, my nose piercing fell out and I couldn’t get to my piercer fast enough so the hole closed and I now have to get it repierced. I have 15 other piercings and have only had issues with my Maria Tash piercings and jewelry.DO NOT BUY FROM MARIA TASH!!

My mom, aunt and I came to this location 3/1/24 and had a great experience. From the get-go, Caroline greeted us warmly and helped us find exactly what the three of us wanted. All of the staff members were friendly; it was a welcoming environment. Ashley took care of all three of us (2 helix piercings and 1 tragus piercing) and it was virtually painless! She got the job done quickly and professionally, and was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend coming here again!

I had 3 piercings done today (2 lobes and 1 helix). Alexis helped me pick out and style my earring choice and they were very patient, made suggestions and wonderful to work with. I never felt rushed and, even though I had an appointment, I was taken earlier. Gabe Giron was my piercer and he was incredible. Everything was sanitized to perfection. We discussed placement and he marked my ears. I got to keep the marker for sanitary reasons. He was calming, kind, friendly and reassuring. Nothing hurt and I really enjoyed my experience at Maria Tash. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. I love my piercing placements and new earrings. I cannot wait to come back. Make an appointment if you can! The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and not pushy. They work quickly - and kindly. I did not feel like I was rushed. I overheard them helping others and they did not hold back when they were helping other clients make decisions - everything does not look beautiful on everyone and they took the time to find the right pieces. I got second ear lobe piercings and the room was sanitary and the person doing the procedure was excellent! I will be returning for any additional piercings. They have the process perfected!

Maria Tash offers a great selection of earrings and excellent piercing services. I got my 3 piercings at the downtown store last year and they healed wonderfully.I recently went to back to get a new earring and the earrings selection remains amazing!

I actually had my piercing done at Maria Tash Le Bon Marché, Paris in Oct 22. I did a resize at Broadway boutique last May. Everything was done nicely. Thanks to the piercers and staffs.Im writing a review today because my pierce somehow got infected a few weeks ago. I didnt know what to do coz there is no Maria Tash here in Thailand, so, I decided to send dm through Maria Tash ig and you guys were all so amazing. The staffs get back to me right away. They gave me suggestions and even sent me a new upsize without charging me. I want to give you all the stars in the sky but GMB only have 5.My piercing is now healing and I want to thank Maria Tashs staffs for all the caring. Now, this is what bespoke service is 😃

I have had a few experiences at Maria Tash and they are all wonderful. The piercers are gentle and caring, the jewelry is beautiful, the associates are genuine and intelligent, and best of all the company upholds that experience afterwards. Ive had slight issues and after contracting the customer service received a real response from a real person! It was sensitive and informative - and gave me real time suggestions to solve my issue. Love this company and cannot say enough good things about them.

Smooth and pleasant experience. Amy, who did my two piercings was knowledgeable and sweet. For someone like me who doesn’t tolerate pain very well, I felt practically nothing. Jewelry prices are a bit nuts but I bought two pieces anyway. lol.

The store was a bit small pictured it to be bigger & crowded day after Christmas. Was a little difficult getting the attention of one of the salespeople. But once I got attention the people were friendly knowledgeable & patient with all my questions. The person who pierced me recommended a “Conch” piercing since my ear was too small for a “Daith”. Ashley was kind, patient & friendly. She assured me that even though it wasn’t exactly what I wanted that I will still be happy. And I was! It’s been 3 days since my first piercing with Ashley @ Maria Tash that I’m looking to get another one. Everyone was kind & knowledgeable.Update: 1/5/2024By the way I love this place so much went back 3 days after my first piercing. And got 2 more piercings. So 3 new beauties. I Love Jorge for helping me select what’s right for the area and for future piercings & Ashley for piercing me two more times and keeping me at ease. Give me 3 months I plan to go back for my fourth. I had a great experience here. When I came in I was greeted. An associate which I forgot her name already a red head helped me with a specific piece I was looking for my septum. She placed the piece up for me to see what it looked like and she was super patient considering I’m picky. The whole staff was friendly and were ready to answer all my questions. Definitely recommend visiting this location.

Beautiful pieces but the customer service was just awful. We walked in to find out more and to see if we could schedule a time for consultation. They didn’t even bother to acknowledge us. We waited for a while to see if we could talk to a sales associate and after being ignored we just left, won’t be going back.

The Piercer was Fantastic! The jewelry is of good quality. I wouldnt call the experience luxury though. The environment felt like going into any jewelry shop.

From the time I set foot in the door, the entire staff was friendly. Lee & Ashley me with loving care. Ashley gave great advice to get the 2mm stone (I planned on the simple 1.5mm) to avoid it from possibly sinking in my piercing. I love my incidence set dismiss stud. I finally pierced my nose at age 65 after 30+ years and my only regret is not having done it sooner. Ashley just did the re-install; my initial piercing was fine elsewhere.

Ive been a client for over 10yrs for a reason. Great customer service, great artists, clean and sterile environment(my personal fave) and awesome one of a kind jewelery. I took my niece last week to get a piercing of a dainty blinged out butterfly for her birthday(her mom was there too. You cannotget a piercing without a parent!!!). We had a bit of a wait even though we had an appointment but theyre still working out the links with that and our new way of life nowadays. Forget Claires and those mall kiosks with teenagers posing piercer. You cant go wrong visiting Maria Tash!!!

In this picture, I got a changed earring couch hoop earring and got pierced upper flat conch. I have big ears of course. they helped me out with what I can get. This is a luxury piercing shop only. You can ask them what your budget fit for buying earrings including piercings. no fees for getting a piercing.

I’ve been going to Maria Tash for several years. Their jewelry is unmatched, imo. And I’ve had equally incredible experiences. My former piercing artists always took such amazing care (Ben and Sophie), and yesterday I had a beyond amazing time, thanks to Sebastian and Gabe. I knew going in I wanted to change my curated ears but didn’t really know how. Sebastian took so much time to walk me through jewelry I had on and additional pieces. He drew out ideas, went through the stock, and was honestly so creative and so lovely to connect with. He even went with me to see Gabe for the install, where they both talked through the changes each step of the way. And this wasn’t even for new piercings or jewelry. Truly ‘just’ a new install. I *love* the results which I def couldn’t have achieved on my own. I left the store glowing, not just because of what they achieved but because they went out of their way to be so kind, and that energy is contagious. I dont even know where to begin to tell you about the amazing experience that my daughter and I had at Maria Tash in NYC! For a while Ive wanted to get pierced but was always making up excuses about why I couldnt, well that all changed in July of this year! After my aunt called me to let me know about the amazing experience she had there and with Ashley who did her piercing, I was sold and decided that I was going to do it! I am originally from Long Island but have been living in IL for sometime now, but we were taking a family trip and decided that when going through the city this would be a stop.My daughter and I walked in and were immediately greeted with hellos and welcoming smiles! The store had a bright, chill atmosphere and was clean! We didnt have appointments with Ashley but we were able to wait for a little and get in to see her (she is the best so make an appointment!). While we waited for our turn we picked out our jewelry, this was really hard since there were so many incredible pieces to choose from. I would think I sound the one only to look over and fina another one I loved. Through the pickout process and all the pieces my daughter and I asked to see the beautiful women (I wish I could remember her name) that helped us did not get annoyed, frustrated with us at all. She truly wanted to be sure we LOVED what we picked!Ashley came to get us and up to her room we went to get pierced, I cannot lie the nerves were almost going to make me turn around but walking into Ashleys room and her just talking with us i relaxed. We were NOT rushed, she explained EVERYTHING to use. Showed us the individual tools that each person gets, she didnt even use the same pen to make the dots on my daughters ear and my noise! She was very patient with use while we picked exactly where we wanted our piercing to go. Giving us her professional opinion on placement as well as the earrings we picked! This was very appreciated, she wanted us to be 100% comfortable and happy with the entire experience! I went first and it was over before I even had to time flinch, same thing for my daughter! Ahsley was extremely thorough about how to care for our piercings, who to use, how to do it and she did this in a way that it didnt feel scary or overwhelming!I am so confident in my recommendation of Maria Tash, Ashely and the entire staff. I wanted to share my incredible experience to hopefully help others who are thinking about having piercings done but maybe arent sure where to go or who to see. Well know you know! The entire experience from walking in to walking out all pierced was incredible and memorable in such a great way!

I went here during my lunch break to get my earlobes pierced for the first time and it was such a quick and easy process. I was helped at the counter to pick my jewelry and to determine the best size and type for healing purposes. Ashley (who did the piercing) was phenomenal. She is incredibly personable, kind, and knowledgable. If I could do it over again I wouldn’t change a thing. If you need a piercing, ask for Ashley. 10/10.

Have loved their pieces online for a while and finally was in NYC and was able to go by and curate what jewelry I wanted in all my piercings. My daughter and I have been having an amazing time with the staff at Maria Tash downtown. It had become such a fun thing to share together and we always feel welcome and taken care of. I finally got the piercings I always wanted and felt like my daughter got the best care by trained experts.

!!! DONT GO THIS SHOP !!!!While getting a piercing service and purchasing the earring, they will ask you for a tip, which also includes the earring price! For example, if the piercing cost is $60, and you are also buying the first earring to use after piercing for $300, you will be asked to pay a pre-setup tip based on $360. Compare to just counting the tip from piercing service, they could could be paid an additional $54 or $65. Asking for a tip when buying an earring? Very shady and sneaky shop!!!!!!!! NEVER VISIT THIS SHOP!!!!!!!

I’m still upset about my piercing experience, the lady did my piercing made me bleed， and when I came back the first time to ask them what should I do, the only word they said is :it’s ok . now i have extra scar next to my earhole, so uncomfortable.

I didn’t catch the person’s name in the front who was showing us jewelry options but she was patient and helpful in curating earrings with my friends and I. Super helpful in curating for two flat side by side piercings and very helpful even though it was a busy and crowded time in the store.Gabriel, our piercer was excellent. Didn’t feel much on the first pierce and felt a little pinch on the second. It’s healing well and I love how straight both posts are. They were super busy but he didn’t rush and remained steady and ensure the space as well as materials were all sterile.

Do not go to this place. I repeat, do not shop here, save your money! this is a rip-off! I came here because I didn’t like the way the earrings looked. I went back for the return, and the manager, who which by the way sucks! She told me that I couldnt return them due to it was worn that was stated on the receipt which by the way the piercer didnt put the earrings on when I was told by another staff (Liam) that if I was not satisfied I can return them. I am sure there are lots of people who purchase worn the jewelry and return the item with no questions asked believe me, I believe the manager was being bias towards me. Ladies and gentlemen, do not shop at this location. There are many places where you can get the bang for your buck. One of them is Mejuri, and they do piercings there as well. The quality is way better than Maria Tash or should I say Maria Trash! For the little piece of light weight jewelry they sell is way too overpriced.

Beat piercers in NYC. They are immaculate, professional and creative. Their jewelry is expensive but worth the price for the beautiful quality and design. The only draw-back is there can be a bit of a wait but if you go in the morning you can get in and out a bit faster!

I love all Tash’s earrings! I had last piercing done in Dubai and place was totally different. NY store is not as nice. And service not as good. No reservations accepted. Piercers not as friendly.

Had the best experience here! My friend and I both got pierced by Amy and she made the whole process so seamless and really took care of us. Also the girl who helped us with choosing which earrings we wanted and locations was amazing (she had lock earrings in her gauges). She was so friendly and helpful and again, just made the whole process so fun and gave great guidance! 10/10 recommend

I suggest another piercing company - I went here for a fun & edgy experience - I got two small diamond earring in the helix of my right ear. The piercing itself did not hurt that much but piercings in that area take a long time to heal. I was told not to remove either earring at all as it would close up. Fast forward 3 months and one of my diamonds falls out of the setting. Maria Tash’s customer service tells me to send the earring back for repair and it will take 2-3 months. I tell them I need a replacement so that my piercing won’t close up. They won’t give me one so I am left with a defective earring or a closed piercing. This is a joke - what kind of customer service is that? Inferior products, no customer service and crazy expensive prices for what it is.

So, Ive not been in the store. Ive only purchased several pieces of earrings online. For what they charge, the quality does not equate. I have rose gold pieces that the posts have changed colors to copper. I have another piece that the back does not screw on securely. I also ordered purple diamonds. They are so small but I swear they look like regular clear diamonds.Ive reached out and sent pics, but they say they need to see the actual pieces. Well, it was ordered online , so they said I would be responsible for shipping to and from for them to determine if theres anything they would or could do.The other piece in which the back does not secure, I shipped it back immediately for them to repair. When I received it back, it worked until I took it off. Now it doesnt secure, again. What?!Your pieces are cute, but your service and quality GREATLY negate the value.

I went to Maria Tash because its well known to be a quality brand and was expecting service and customer care in line with their reputation and premium prices. Unfortunately, I have reached out twice via email with issues Ive had with the jewellery Ive purchased, and have received no reply. This is really disappointing because I paid a lot for the jewellery, and cannot wear it given a faulty down-sized post I was given.How can a company as exclusive as Maria Tash treat customers this way after theyve sold their services & jewellery to them?I have frequented both the London & New York branches and raved to others about the stores, but have to now change my tune.

Wonderful experience from the staff to the piercer. all the jewelry was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were all extremely kind and knowledgeable; they helped me to pick out the perfect earring to fit the forward helix that i got (it was a stunning blue opal) and they were very patient all the way through. as for my piercer, Ashley, she was extremely professional but still very friendly. she walked me through the entire piercing process, which was quick and minimally painful. what a great experience this place was- if you’re in Manhattan or any of the neighboring boroughs and you’re looking for a place to get a piercing of any kind, this is your place.

Everyone at Maria Tash was so professional and made me feel very comfortable for my piercing (which if you know me, I get VERY squeamish about needles!) The stylist that helped me pick out the perfect earrings for my price point. Rob did my piercings- and let me tell you, he was AWESOME! I got 4 piercings at once - two lobe piercings on each side, and he was so quick and professional. He talked me through the entire process and even though I was very nervous he remained calm and did the piercings so quickly that they were not even a fraction as painful as I imagined they would be. The piercings look SO GOOD and are so even. With something like piercings that can be so permanent, make sure you go with quality and service you can trust and for that Maria Tash is the place!I left the place thinking of what other piercings I should get done, they were that good! 1000% recommend the store and Rob!

I loved my experience at Maria Tash! I went into get three piercings and was met by a very kind and helpful sales associate. He took the time to be patient with me, helped me choose which piece of jewelry Id like for each piercing, and even helped me with the choice of gold that complemented my complexion. I waited about a half an hour and had Ashley do my piercings. She was so kind, patient, and professional. She kept the conversation going smoothly and before I knew it, the piercings were done - quick and painless! I really appreciated the fact that she went out of her way to tell me about the placement of the piercings and what would look best based off of my previous piercings/anatomy. Yesterday was my birthday.I was super excited to come here for my birthday to get a piercing.I scheduled an appointment online and arrived about 30 minutes early. I realized that it was so packed (just a heads up to anyone who still cares about masking that this is a very tight space and almost no one was wearing a mask in it) that you could not even speak to someone. I figured there was no way they could squeeze me in early so I went for a walk and came back about 5 minutes before my appointment.I walked up to the counter with my biggest smize and waited until someone became available.The wait was long but I had so much birthday and Maria Tash excitement that I did not care.A staff member with a black curly mullet became free, looked at me (with the stank eye), and said nothing.When I began to speak they literally looked beyond me and told someone that she could help them out at the front.I was confused. Was I invisible?I figured no big deal I will just wait for someone else.The people the mullet staff member took before me did not have an appointment so they sent them on their way and became available first again.When I went to speak again they took people who literally just walked in the door.Again I was confused but figured maybe they had been in before and already had an appointment with her. Nope. They did not have an appointment either but they sat and talked jewelry for a while.The saving grace here was the associate who helped me, Caroline. They were very helpful and most importantly, kind. Caroline helped me pick out an earring then sent me to get my piercing done upstairs.The piercer was friendly until we started discussing placement. Already a bit overwhelmed by what had happened downstairs I wanted to just walk out, but I had already paid, so instead I fought back tears and just told them to put it wherever they wanted.I got my piercing. Tipped (begrudgingly). Left. Then cried outside.Getting my first piercing since I was a baby at Maria Tash was supposed to be to be the highlight of my birthday but ended up being the worst part.Caroline provided excellent service which is why I decided to add an extra star.Overall I would not recommend getting a piercing from here.You could go somewhere to get treated well and it would probably be like a quarter of the price :/

Made an appointment, was seen to right away. Assistant was helpful in helping me make a selection based on my piercing. Rob actually did the piercing, set me at ease and it was very quick and painless. Healing really well. Jewellery is expensive but quality is good. I definitely got what I paid for. Would recommend.

I had an extremely poor experience here with one of the piercers, for a walk-in. My piercer was extremely condescending and passive aggressive. From the first moment I walked in, I felt uncomfortable. Once she placed the dots and asked me to check the location, I did so and thought perhaps the cartilage one was a bit too inside, and asked her if it’s possible to see a bit to the right. She kept saying she wouldn’t place it somewhere wrong, and she literally drew a new dot on the flat area of my ear. I was trying to explain that I didn’t mean that much more to the right, but she seemed to purposefully not understand the middle ground between shifting 1-2 mm and an inch. Same thing happened for putting it a bit higher, she just made me feel extremely uncomfortable to even consider other places than her first dot.She was so passive aggressive that I even asked her if I had done something to upset her, to which she curtly said no and went on speaking. My partner, who had come with me, was also shocked. The entire experience was just so rushed and I didn’t even feel comfortable asking her to check the location of the second earlobe location.I really regret coming here since my second earlobe one is way too close for my preference to the first one. I should have left when I met my piercer, but after spending 1700$ upstairs at Maria Tash on the two single earrings I was using for the appointment, I ignored my instincts.One star is because I can not give lower.

Tanja is awesome and really focused on customer service. She goes out of her way to make sure you are happy with your styling and overall experience! Loved working with her.Rob is such a pro and clearly such an experienced piercer. He makes you feel comfortable and calms your nerves. Little to no pain getting pierced or after. 10/10 all around with Rob!

Like many, I’m quite disappointed with the diminished quality of this brand, for the premium price they charge. I bought a plain white gold hoop last month but was immediately concerned at the quality of the click closure. I had intended to return to the store this week to consult with someone, only to find that the ring has dropped out during the course of today (when it had been “securely” closed this morning). Won’t be wasting any more money on this overpriced stuff. Can go to a pharmacy and get the same thing for 1/10th of the price.EDIT: Happy to report that Maria Tash contacted me to offer a replacement piece. Pleasant service!

Had the best experience today getting my new piercing. Lee was super friendly and spot-on with his styling suggestions! Normally I’m very indecisive but Lee was great in guiding my jewellery choices. Piercing was done very professionally and mostly pain-free and fast too (the wait itself wasn’t but this store location is popular for good reason!). Will definitely be back again!

Unfortunately, I have to write this review.I’ve been getting my ears and body pierced here for YEARS! I’ve always trusted the staff and the quality of the jewelry. A while ago, one of my ear piercings fell out. I was lucky enough to find the jewelry in my bed- so I didn’t pay much attention to it. Just went to the store to get put back in. And then the same one fell out again. And then again. the last time it fell out, I wasn’t lucky enough to find it. So I had to purchase a new piece of jewelry. 6 days later, guess what….? Yup, it fell out again. The same piece for the fifth time. Since I JUST purchased it, I was very annoyed. I just spent very good money on a piece of jewelry that fell out and I couldn’t find it.I reached out to customer service, and unfortunately they decided to take ZERO action. I was told that since they replaced it once in the past (2 years ago), they can’t help this time around. Even if I just bought a new one that fell out 6 days later. For the prices they charge, I expect that piece of jewelry to stay in my ear! And not fall out within a week of purchase. Also, with the years the store has been neglected (no normal AC in the store, huge portable AC machines everywhere with cables running through the store, taped to the floor), sales ppl being rude and unpleasant, and a general feeling that they are better than others. Using the word “luxury” and giving out such poor customer service is absolutely wrong.After being a VERY loyal customer for years, I’m definitely not coming back here. The greed and smug has taken over. And for that, I no longer recommend this company.There are many piercing stores in NYC, that are much better in quality and customer service.

I had a great experience in the shop last week! Was helped at the front by a really sweet guy and helped me pick out my jewelry. I ended up picking up 4 pieces, 2 to install and 2 to get pierced and then had Ashley do the service. She was a great! Very personable and professional! Barely felt the piercing and truly cannot wait to come back!!

Every time I am itching for a new piercing, I only go to Maria Tash. The studio is immaculate and the piercers and front desk are professional and knowledgeable. Today I went in to get a microdermal removed and to treat myself to something new on my ear. I walked in not too sure what would work with what I have already and Brianna promptly greeted me and was so helpful with giving me placement and jewelry suggestions. Ashely was my piercer and she was very friendly and was super thorough with her communication. I walked out with a smile on my face and love my new orbital. Absolutely LOVE Maria Tash! I have purchased jewelry and gotten my earlobes pierced at the NYC, Broadway location and the London, Harrods location several times. The employees are super helpful and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend this place-- the sterilization, the step-by-step communication of the process and aftercare was fantastic. Ive been to other Maria tash locations but this was my first time at the Broadway location! I was super nervous to get my rook pierced but the staff were super kind and helped me pick out suitable jewelry. Ashley was my piercer and she was amazing! She made me feel so safe and comfortable and walked me through every step of the piercing. She was super knowledgable and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this location :)

I got a helix piercing at Maria Tash, and it was my first non-lobe piercing. I was feeling really nervous about it, but everything from picking out the jewelry, doing the paperwork, and the actual piercing itself was seamless. The people who work there are extremely knowledgeable and were very thorough in explaining the process and answering my questions (and I had a bunch of questions due to my extensive research beforehand)! They were also really good about showing me that my jewelry was sterilized and they don’t even re-use markers on people when marking the piercing spot (they give you the marker to keep - that’s how you know they’re not re-using it on someone else).Ashley was my piercer and she was very patient with explaining things to me and calming me down. I’m not over-exaggerating when I say that the piercing was painless. I was so surprised at how quick and seamless it was. I’ve gotten my lobes (first and second holes) pierced with a gun, and getting my helix pierced with a needle was less than half the pain of my lobes - probably even less.Yes, Maria Tash jewelry is on the expensive side, but I found the price to be worth it. You’re paying for the quality of the jewelry itself, and also a clean and professional facility with expert piercers. To me, that is worth the price tag - especially if you’re a little hesitant or nervous about getting a piercing done.

Maria Tash is a Great example of high fashion, low quality. Anyone can create jewelry that looks good, but you can tell that the design team is not experienced in making jewelry that lasts. The gold jewelry is overpriced when you consider the weight of the gold, and most especially when you consider how poorly designed it is.Look through the reviews and you’ll see that many people complain that their jewelry is not secure and easily falls off. I’ve lost hundreds of dollars of Maria Tash jewelry because it will loosen and fall off, and because many of the pieces are so lightweight you do not even notice until it is too late, and due to the small size they become impossible to find. See attached pictures of all the backs that I have without studs because they fell off. Huge waste of money.In terms of the staff- the piercers are extremely experienced and great at their job, but there are many shops selling better jewelry.

I came to this store after I was recommended this place by many of my friends. I went in to get my cartilage pierced and was greeted by a nice and helpful woman standing at the front counter. She helped me pick out a piece of jewelry and made sure I was aware of all the post care instructions. I was then met upstairs by my piercer - I forget his name but he came in from their London store that week. I was shocked by how clean their instruments were - they were all autoclaved, including my newly purchased hoop. He was very friendly and made me feel as calm as possible! I love the result and am extremely happy with the service I received!

I passed by a Maria Tash shop in SOHO not knowing anything about the brand but a lightening bolt in the window caught my eye. So on a whim, and little Valentines Day Gift to myself, I went in. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful. The wait to have the piercing done was minimal and they made you feel really comfortable. The piercing staff was excellent in explaining the process and after care. It was my first 2nd piercing in 1 ear. I explained what I typically wear and they suggested placements. I love my little lightening bolt I purchased 3 years ago every day! Very cool, unique and beautiful products!

My daughter got her ears pierced by Rob, and was scared, but when it happened, she just went, “Oh.” We also met the kindest person Lee, who helped us pick our earrings out. So clean and beautiful, we will definitely come back.

Ive gone to both of Maria Tashs locations in London and it was my first time at the NYC flagship in July. The service we experienced was fantastic. Lee helped myself and my friend figure out which pieces fit best aesthetically with our existing pieces and what looked best on our ears. He took time with each of us and never seemed rushed or bored of what he was doing, even with our indecisiveness at first, he was super friendly and welcoming. The piercer Rob was very informative and walked us step by step through the process, and was very quick and gentle with his piercing. Overall, great customer service, lovely atmosphere, and would highly recommend.

Really happy with this place. Super helpful and the piercers know what they are doing. Today, they actually refused to take my money for piercing because they said it wouldn’t be as successful without my nose healing a bit more. I’ve been super eager to get repierced after my old piercing came out, but I was very impressed with the fact that they prioritized my health over just taking me in. Also the stylists were extremely helpful and super duper friendly (and indulged me talking about dune forever). Love this place, def planning on going back ASAP 🌈😍❤️.

Can’t say enough good things about my experience at Maria Tash! From the moment I walked in, the stylists downstairs (shoutout to Lee) and the piercer (Ashley) were so helpful and friendly, and really took the time to make sure the garland piece I wanted to use would work with my anatomy and look great. Lee gave me some great ideas for future piercings, too! When it came time to go upstairs, Ashley was super sweet and made sure to show me that my earring was fully sanitized, ensured I was happy with the placement, and did the piercing quickly and pretty painlessly. I’m so happy with my new Tash Rook, and will definitely be back for checkups, downsizes, and a few more ear piercings. 😊

We like Maria Tash jewelry for their individual style, my daughter has been a client of a studio in Soho for over 2 years, but the service and quality of services kill everything, we are unlikely to return again. The piercing of the ear cartilage did not recover, my daughter had to give up this idea. Today we had a problem with another puncture, a standard place in the earlobe, two years later we took off the earring, did not wear it for a week, after that we could not return it to its place. We made an appointment, but it took us 2 hours to reach a piercing artist, she was cute by the way, but waiting so long in a queue, we could turn in and leave earlier. Its a shame when the service team spoils the brands reputation.

One of the worst piercing experiences of my life. And to clarify - I am fully tatted and have piercings everywhere. Body, face and ears. I am really good about cleaning them. I’ve never had an issue before with piercings.I got two ear piercings here on the same day. One of them was infected THAT NIGHT because the piercer pierced it with a bar that was too short. I had to go to the emergency room the next day and the doctor said that when they pierced it with a too short bar it caused my ear to immediately swell up around it and it was so painful to remove.The second piercing healed fine BUT I can’t remove it because the piercer broke the earring thread and it’s crooked… so now I have a thousand pound earring that I literally cannot remove because it was pierced so poorly. The jewellery is really pretty but Jesus Christ it was so terrible of an experience.Absolutely terrible experience and NOT worth spending thousands at the store and then at the emergency room the next day. Avoid at all costs.

Here is a follow-up to the review I published a year ago. My piercing has been infected for the entire year on and off because the woman who did it was so aggressive, as I previously mentioned. Even when I went to have it removed, she inquired about the piercer because it didnt look right. I wont waste any more money by coming back here ever again. Visit a qualified piercer, as I advise. I would have avoided a year of ear pain if that had happened.

I have been to Maria Tash about 4 times. And each time I drive specifically to get new jewelry or pierced from south jersey to NYC. The employees behind the counter are so helpful picking out the perfect earring and placement. They offer their honest opinion. I’ve gotten my nose, rook, Tash rook, and upper ear lobe pierced. All but my nose I got pierced by Ben. He is easy to talk to, calming, and is an expert piercer. The entire experience at Maria Tash is so good I keep coming back.

I am a Maria Tash loyalist and love their pieces. I have had great experiences with the sales staff (both online and in store) in helping to put pieces together and create looks. The piercers I have had, however, seem like they want be anywhere else BUT there and cant wait to get you out of their room. I get that its an extremely high traffic establishment, but people are paying (a lot) for the aesthetic expertise/advice. I also think that if you are spending in the thousands of dollars on multiple pieces and not getting pierced, the installation charge should be waived, especially if you are tipping on top of that.

There is no better place to go for piercings (and insanely beautiful jewelry) than Maria Tash! From choosing your jewelry to getting pierced, the service and attention to detail is impeccable. Their stylists always make wonderful (and honest) suggestions—you will never feel rushed no matter how busy it is. Ben is an amazing piercer—he makes you feel at ease and does amazing work—his piercings always heal well and I never feel a thing as he works so quickly!

*Update* Got my third piercing and my 6th piece of jewelry and I still adore every experience I have at this store and with this team. Caroline is amazing and is now on this whole piercing journey with me, lol! Incredibly professional and kind staff! Ive stopped by multiple times now to switch out a stud, receive a consultation, and subsequently get 2 new piercings. Everyone from those working on the ground floor (retail) to the piercing artists on the upper floor are absolutely lovely. Highly recommend!

I came up from Atlanta to visit family and go to the MT flagship store because I was expecting a high level of professionalism and assistance. These are permanent installations on my body and I wanted subject matter experts to assist. Lake was super helpful with pinpointing placement and jewelry. Rob made the piercings themselves very quick and (relatively) low-pain. I got a double conch and am super happy with how it turned out. ✌️

Went today for my first piercing at Maria Tash. Great service and friendly people. The piercings are stunning and I had plenty of time to look through them. Unfortunately the butterfly I wanted was not available at the moment, but I ended up with a gorgeous little moon instead. What a great souvenir from NYC!

It was my first time at this place I was recommended by a friend and at first the gentlemen that helped me was great, super nice put the earrings on me the way I wanted but the piercer Ashley was HORRENDOUS. Sarcastic and made me feel so uncomfortable. My girlfriend who was about to get a piercing after me decided not to because of how rude Ashley was. I was so uncomfortable I will not be returning again. You would think with how much money we are spending on the jewelry the customer service would be way better.

I always have the best experience at Maria Tash. The shop is clean, the staff are friendly, and you’re paying for the experience as a whole. The selection is amazing (you will likely spend more than you plan on because it’s hard to resist!). The staff are extremely knowledgeable and help you curate the perfect ear scape. I’ve gotten multiple piercings from Ben and Ashley, and both have been fantastic. Overall, nothing but great things to say.

Every time I go to Maria Tash I always have a fantastic experience. I’ve had 4 piercings done now at the New York location, and every single person I talk to is not only knowledgeable but great soundboards to bounce ideas and inspiration off of! I find that all of my favorite tattoo and piercing places place inclusion at the top of their priorities and Maria Tash definitely shows that with each and every visit. The BEST piercing experience I’ve ever had! Went one day to do the conch piercing, and I’ve heard horror stories of the pain from that specific piercing. Ben at NYC location did it and it was absolutely painless! Went the next day to do another lobe piercing, again, painless! Walked in without an appointment on both days and didn’t wait more than 10-15 minutes for the piercer to be available! Front staff was great in helping pick out an earring and making sure it would fit perfectly! 10/10 recommend getting a piercing and/or jewelry from Maria Tash! Can’t wait until I can go back!

I had been wanting some rings from here for the longest so they could match my gold hoops & im so glad I finally came, they have everything and so many styles! Came here during pandemic and the place is so clean. Everyone is wearing masks, hand sanitizer out. The stylist was super helpful and I loved the stick to “try on” earrings. It holds the earring close to your ear so you can imagine what it looks like. Awesome idea especially for inner ear piercings! The install of the earring was also so quick and painless. Got my septum pierced and both the person at the counter and my piercer were absolute dreams. I just wish the waiting area was a bit larger, but the service I got was amazing. My piercer explained everything to me really clearly and was super kind and the piercing itself was quick and as painless as a piercing can be!! Would go back in a heartbeat.

Ok, so the piercing experience was AWESOME. Ashley is top notch and did an amazing job. She was so reassuring (Im a wimp) and gave great suggestions on placement and best anatomical spots for visibility. The staff at the jewelry counter were also amazing, kind, patient and incredibly helpful. The ONLY reason I knocked off a star is the pricing. The LOWEST price for ANY ear piercing was $105. For basic ball stud. I recognize that the materials are quality, but come on, there need to be more basic options that are a better price. If there had been, I would have wound up with 3 piercings today instead of 1.

My entire piercing experience here was AMAZING!!!!!! The consultation was super helpful, and I ended up getting three piercings that all turned out perfectly. I am so happy with the result. After months of obsessing over Maria Tashs Instagram page, I finally found myself in NYC. I knew that a visit and some new piercings were high on my list. I can honestly say that they did not disappoint! Their jewelry is even more beautiful in person and their team really takes their time to help curate a look that works with piercings that you already have. My piercer was Ashley and she was AMAZING!! She made some great suggestions on placement and you could really tell that she loves her job! I cant wait to get more done! Maybe I will make a visit to their Dublin location during my upcoming vacation!

I went in yesterday in hopes of finding a new earring for my tragus piercing. I walk in and I see it is a little busy so I was waiting waiting and waiting and nobody even acknowledged me, let alone looked at me to tell me that they would be with me shortly. Had they said that, I would have happily waited. So I’m there patiently waiting for a good 5 minutes, and not a single soul working there bothered. Put me off so badly, I had to walk out. I don’t recommend this location, unless you want to get ignored and like terrible customer service

I ordered several pieces from Maria Tash a couple of weeks ago. The items that were in stock arrived within a few days. A couple pieces were on backorder. I originally ordered two of the earrings in a 5 mm post size for my helix piercings. When I realized they were not the correct size for my anatomy, I contacted customer service. They graciously sent me two 8 mm posts free of charge. They were a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely be a returning customer.

I have stopped in multiple times during my lunch break to shop for jewelry. Everything is stunning and I’ve been prepared to spend $$, but no one offers assistance or is available to answer questions even when it’s not busy. There are many amazing piercing shops/jewelry stores in NYC without this issue.

I’ve had the pleasure of working multiple times with Sebastian to curate my ear piercings. He has been patient, open to my crazy ideas and put the best spin on my style EVER. He took his time each time and made me feel so comfortable that I won’t work with anyone else. He’s inspired me to get more piercings and be even more adventurous. The place was white, spacious and sparkly clean. The guy at the counter (I think his name is Bobby) was very professional, patient in answering all the questions that I had. The earrings are pricey but their professionalism is top notch and I am very happy I went there to get my ear pierced. Ashley pierced my ears. Besides being very sterile with all her equipment, she was especially warm and friendly and whatever nervousness I had was vanished within seconds! I was so surprised at how quick and easy the piercing went through! There was no redness or pain at all after that! I will definitely be back if I want another piercing! :D

I have become a huge fan of Maria Tash in the last 11 months. My first experience with them was at their LA popup in April 2019. Beautiful jewelry, knowledgeable stylists and expert piercers. I got my 3rd lobe piercing (both ears) and 1st helix piercing in LA. The piercings were virtually painless. I was in NY for a business trip in September and of course had to visit Maria Tash. I swapped my upper lobe studs for beautiful diamond trinity studs and got a beautiful diamond butterfly conch piercing. Same great stylists and expert piercer . In December I was in London and visited their Harrod’s shop. Got my rook pierced (right ear) with a gorgeous sparkly Star. 🤩 I have always had the best experience at Maria Tash. One of my biggest wishes is for Maria Tash to open a permanent store in LA. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I went to Venus By Maria Tash to have my second hole pierced on my ear lobe. The procedure was relatively quick and painless. The piercer was also very friendly. When you first walk in, the place is pristine with a wide-range for jewelry selection.The reason I am rating this place 2-stars is because the lady behind the jewelry table was very pushy. While the piercing is only $15, every earring starts at a base of $50+. She initially failed to provide the option for being pierced with a cheap $15 dollar bar, and proceeded to act confused when I mentioned it. Up until I mentioned that I had visited the shop previously and am aware of the more affordable option.What really bothered me was when I went to make a payment, they asked how much I would like to leave for a tip??!!! TIP for what? Ripping me off? I think it is very rude and unprofessional to ask/intimidate someone into giving a tip.Very pricey, probably would not go back again.

This was my first time getting my ears pierced so I didn’t really know what to expect- I felt safe coming here knowing it would be aligned right and perfectly sanitary. Even though the store was pretty chaotic and busy, they were very helpful with explaining everything and helping me find the right earrings. The piercing was quick and pretty painless- super happy with my experience!

I had a 12:30pm piercing appointment.I arrived early, and all associates were busy upon arrival. A little after my appointment time someone was able to assist me, but only for a sizing. There were still five walk-ins ahead of me for the actual piercing. I didnt have the time to wait (it would have been 1:30 before the sterilization/piercing process would have started). I had to leave, highly disappointed (especially based off my wonderful past piercing experiences here).The advice given from the ending conversation was to call before coming in to see how many people are waiting, regardless of appointment. And to reschedule, to call because appointments fill up. I did make the appointment two days in advance, to avoid the wait. Why is the appointment system in place if appointments are treated like walk-ins?

I have to say, be careful. I don’t feel this experience is worth the cost. I came in from a different state specifically for this store and was expecting a truly curated experience and honestly just felt like a sheep being hearded in a room full of people. I was expecting the sales people to have knowledge on ear anatomy and say “oh yes based on your ear shape and small lobes or large lobes this design would suit you best” but it wasn’t like that at all. I felt like a number and it was so busy also felt rushed and just blended with the crowd. I suppose unless you have high status as a celebrity or someone important than youre just another customer. I am not sure why the reviews are so high other than yes its a very beautiful piercing shop, classy and clean... I got a double pierced lobe with a tiny 3mm gold/diamond jewlelry pice and was going great for 3 months then sadly got infected. I know infections are not their fault so my review is not a reflection of that. Rather, being extra frustrated that I now have two 600$ earrings that I can’t do anything with... I wanted to switch my forward helix out for this but in order you get a shorter post they want you to pay another 65$ for it... I thought the customer service policy would be better at least for when something unforeseeable like infection occurs and you’re jus trying to make the best of your expensive jewelry...

My first piercing at Maria Tash will be two years ago this coming July. I finally had my nose pierce. A couple of months ago, I returned to have my right ear upper cartilage done. Both experiences, I was nervous. Both times, I did not have a moment to react . . . the piercing was done. The staff was patience with me. . . . and yes, the jewelry is exquisite and the prices vary from one of the spectrum to the other, but there is a little something or big something for everyone.

Got my nipple pierced here damn near 12 years ago or so. I accidentally irritated it last week and it was annoying me, so I went there for removal. My piercer, Sherry (sp?) was incredibly patient, informative and communicative with me! It was absolutely painless and it’s healing up nicely so far. Thank you!

10/10! Highly recommend!! I recently got a third piercing at Maria Tash, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. Specifically, I was blown away by their customer service and their amazing technicians. While I love Maria Tash’s jewelry (so beautiful!), I was skeptical about going to such a high-end store to get pierced, as I wanted something simple and was also indecisive about where to place it. I was afraid that the sales staff would resent spending time to help someone who just wanted to get a stud, and I was worried that I would be rushed as a result. But that wasn’t the case at all!The sales rep who helped me, Lee, was very nice and helpful. He struck that difficult balance in sales—providing helpful suggestions without seeming to hurry or pressure you. He indulged my request to compare multiple little studs and also patiently showed the various combinations on their ear model dummy, which made me 100% confident in what I was selecting. I walked away very happy with my purchase and its placement because of Lee.As for the actual piercing, I kid you not—I barely felt it, even the next day. Just ask for Ashley. The girl is amazing. My last memory of getting pierced involved a painful cartilage piercing at the mall, so I was a little nervous about the piercing, but Ashely is a pro. She was extremely personable and knew exactly how to put me at ease. She also explained the process simply, which helped a lot.I should also mention that she paid amazing attention to detail, making me realize that there is definitely an art to this! She noticed right away that my previous cartilage piercing was put in at a sharp angle, which caused that earring not to sit ideally on my ear. So if you think it’s fine to just have a 17-year-old at Claire’s do this for you, I recommend that you reconsider!If you are planning to get something pierced, go to Maria Tash. They will provide excellent sales help, and you can be confident that the actual piercing will be painless and correctly done!

I’m leaving a one star review because of my in-store experience and quality of product. I came here to purchase seamless hoop earrings before Christmas 2021. The store was busy, but not too busy. The associates and ratio of people in the store was balanced, yet I was not greeted or asked if I needed help. I decided to ask for help. The associate (male) began helping me, and then kept leaving me without excusing himself or saying where he was going. I wanted to know if their seamless rings would fit my ear since I had new earlobes (surgically repaired). I explained then situation to the associate. He said yea of course they will fit, and if they don’t I will leave a note on your account, and you can come return them. I said okay. He rang me up and left again. Didn’t pack up my stuff (over $500 worth of jewlery). I assumed he was going to return. He didn’t. He was very chaotic and I was annoyed and felt a little embarrassed. After about 20 minutes I asked two female associates who were busy talking where the person helping me went, and explained that i paid. They were confused and looked in the printer to find my receipt. It was there. He had left my receipt in the printer without telling me anything or handing me my items or bagging them. He probably got commission too for doing absolutely nothing. These people shouldn’t be working in a store that has a reputation for being high-end. The seamless Huggies hoops are the worst quality and DO NOT FIT MY EAR as the UNQUALIFIED associate said they would. I called up and he didn’t even leave a note on my account like he said He would. Not only is he a terrible customer service associate but he lied to me. I’m going back to return the jewlery tomorrow because apparently an associate named Tania said she would make up for it. Hopefully they have their word this time. I don’t know why people hype this place up, I would not recommend for anyone that wants to “treat” themselves, go elsewhere.

I originally went to the Maria Tash pop-up over in Los Angeles at the Nordstrom Local store on Melrose, has an appointment and was seen promptly. The sweet woman helping me out was very considerate of my budget and tried to find options that would fit my style most. Additionally, my piercer had the most amazing personality, very easy going and made me feel comfortable as I hadn’t gotten a piercing for a long time. The process was smooth and everything has healed beautifully. Thank you, Maria Tash’s team! I’ll probably be back for more.

Im obsessed with MT! I visited with a friend who recommended them to get my tragus pierced. The store is clean, sophisticated and has a luxurious feel to it though decor is minimal. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Im on my third piercing with them in four months. Addicted!

I traveled 4 hours just to go here. It was a great time. From help picking out the jewelry to the actual piercing! Definitely recommend. I would love to see a pop up in Destiny USA in Syracuse!EDIT: So I came in last weekend at about 615 pm. This time I planned to spend a bit more money since I don’t get to NYC very often. The girl who helped me in the front was friendly and somewhat helpful. I told her 2 pieces I was interested in and she had me head upstairs to be fitted by the piercer. I then waited about an hour. Not because it was busy per se but because I didn’t have a cup of purchased jewelry yet. Well, I’m not going to buy 1k worth of earrings until I know they will work. The piercer looked like he would rather be in a burning building than be at work another minute. I waited and wasn’t acknowledged at all until the girl from downstairs realized that I was still up there. When he finally called me in, he didn’t tell me if what I liked would look good, didn’t suggest anything style wise, just that they would probably work. I literally felt like I was so annoying to him. I ended up with 3 piercings which I will say he did amazingly well and they didn’t even hurt. But, I’m now questioning my choices and seem to have a thrown together ear and not sure I love it 😔

I found Venus By Maria Tash by Googling piercing NYC. First impressions of the store on Broadway: very clean and inviting space. Ashley, who pierced my ear (double helix), was awesome! Before doing the actual piercings, she prepared me for every step of the process by explaining what she was about to do. I cant say enough great things about my experience; the locations of my piercings are spot on, the jewelry selection is sophisticated and vast (albeit expensive), the time and attention given to sterilizing the jewelry and the piercing tools is incredibly reassuring, and the staff was really helpful and friendly. Its been two days since I had my ear pierced and I have minimal pain, no soreness or redness. Do follow their care instructions for taking care of your piercing.

My review is only for the jewelry. I’ve never been pierced here.I was looking for elegant/chic jewelry for my rook and helix, and St. Marks Place just didn’t cut it. I found Maria Tash and I’m so glad I did. The pieces I bought are expensive but worth it because they’re real gold and high quality.The real negative for me is the customer service and attitude of the people working here. It’s very inconsistent — sometimes you’ll get a really nice and helpful person and other times you’ll get a person that will literally ignore you the entire time you’re waiting for someone to help. Another weird thing is that they don’t want you to put your jewelry on their glass counter — I get it, it’s for hygienic reasons. But there’s nicer ways of going about it instead of reprimanding someone and making them feel as if they’re jewelry is disease infested.

I’ve had my nose pierced 3 times here (I know, I’m fickle and slightly irresponsible sometimes). Every time has been incredibly professional, hygienic, and they’ve been careful to explain the full process. Yesterday was the third time and the super foxy guy behind the counter with the padlock charm on his earring (can’t remember his name, was far too distracted) was genuine, helpful, and took his time making sure to get the right size jewelry and double checking I knew about after-care. If I get anything else pierced, this is the only place I’ll go. And hopefully I won’t get kicked out for awkwardly staring. ::ahem::

Maria Tash, has a style for every taste.Ive even had piercers in local luxury piercing shops, in my city, complement me numerous times on my Maria Tash jewellery.As far as the comfort, and durability of the Maria Tash jewellery, I have her jewellery in both my ears. I never take anything out before I go to sleep, except for my industrial piercing. (Because its a long bar.)Otherwise, I sleep with the rest of my jewellery in my ears, and dont feel a thing. The jewellery never moves, through the night.I have had two of my hoops unhinge a couple times, randomly. But they are very easy to clap back together. Generally speaking, its not a problem.Also, once, I had a stud earing fall out. But, I caught it in my lap. And honestly, I attribute that more to my jewellery not being properly installed by a local piercer, and not the jewellery itself.I know this review is long, and Ive so many positive things to say about Maria Tash. The first person I saw walking into the store wasn’t welcoming at all; on the contrary, they made me feel as though I shouldn’t be there with the side looks and whatnot. I went in to get a conch piercing; although the person who did it to me was lovely, I just recently found out she had no idea what she was doing because if I want to switch my jewel to a hoop, I will have to remove the one I have now and let it scar so I can get it re-pierced in about 5 months or else the hoop is gonna stretch my hole out with time (instead of 10mm - ideal distance - away from the cartilage, it is at 15mm - I was told by another artist near where I live it is somewhat of a record). Truly disappointed because it seems they don’t care much for the quality of the service, after hearing so many good things about the brand. Would not recommend.

Amazing jewellery, really beautiful fine hoops and studs. i love that they do walk-in piercings upstairs. i bought some simple white-gold thin hoops to wear daily and the staff were super helpful putting them in and helping me find the right size. get ready to spend money in here but im definitely coming back because i saw so many i loved! would recommend if you want some beautiful investment jewellery.

I planned to get my conch pierced in another place in NYC, even booked an appointment and made a prepayment. But when I came they told me all piercers were sick (and they had sent me a message which I didn’t receive due to some issues with my non-american phone number). They offered to reschedule but the next day I already had a flight home to Europe. So we canceled. Then on my way to the hotel I just walked in Maria Tash and couldn’t be more happy! They helped me to make a beautiful combo: conch piercing plus changing jewelry in my earlobes. And the piercer Ashlie was very professional and nice to me.

My first Maria T. piercing jewelry was the Rook area of my ear. I purchased the jewelry name “ The Story of O”. It was Maria’s recommendation . My second piercing was the “ Helix “. My last Maria Tash piercing was the “Conch “. After 10 years, I still own the unique ear jewelry. I adore Maria’s unique artistry. I luv the fact that I have to screw the jewelry together to secure. Maria Tash’s jewelry is unique, eclectic, gorgeous and created with superb quality. I often get compliments on my Maria T jewelry. I’ll be back to treat myself to another unique stunner. 💎

I was originally pierced at the new Nordstrom location a few days prior which was brilliant. But they are only open Thursday through Sunday for piercing and this was a Wednesday, the one before thanksgiving no less. My third lobe piercing was swollen and sore and the bar in it felt too tight and small. I was seen quickly when I arrived by Ben and wow! He is so skilled and even though I’m not good with pain, like at all, he was so gentle and made it almost pain free to have the length of bar swapped out on such a fresh piercing. I can’t recommend Ben enough - happy, friendly and above all - made me feel calm and less silly about coming in when I wasn’t sure I needed to. Thanks so much!!

I got a piercing done last year from their Newyork location and I cannot tell you how beautiful my experience was with the staff. I was so nervous before the piercing as it was the rook piercing but I had to ask the piercer if he is about to pierce and he said he was done already. He was too good and I will definitely be visiting the store again for more once the situation is better with the pandemic.

Maria Tash is a very talented designer and create beautiful navel rings with real diamonds.A few years ago I purchased a belly ring with Diamonds from Maria Tash located at 653 Broadway in Manhattan NYC. The item I purchased was well made, durable, stylish and extremely comfortable. I enjoyed wearing it literally everyday until I became pregnant.After I was blessed with delivering a beautiful and healthy baby I started trimming down my waist for a flatter tummy. As a special treat for myself I went back to Maria Tash to purchase another navel ring. This time I purchased a dangle piece. So I purchased the new navel ring in June at the store. I was told it will arrive in 6 weeks. I thought to myself summer will basically be over by time I receive the navel ring but I still wanted it so I proceeded with the purchase. The navel ring actuarially arrived a little over 6 weeks. but I was excited when it arrived.The second day I wore the navel ring it BROKE. the dangle piece fell off. I immediately called Maria Tash and notified them. The office manager told me that they will expedite a new navel ring and I should expect to receive it within 2 weeks. Well that was in August. I kept calling throughout September and October to see when it will be available. No one bothered to contact me to notify me that there will be a delay after all, the office manger promised me it will be expedited and I will receive it in two weeks. It was not ready to pick up until mid October. Thats right just a few days ago I went back to Maria Tash to finally pick up my navel ring but this time it did not fit. It appeared that the bar that enters the navel was longer. So I was informed that they have to send it out again. At this rate who knows when I will receive it. I thought they had a mini workshop on the premises that could have simply made the necessary adjustments but I was told No it must be shipped out for the adjustment..I honestly do not know when or if I will ever receive my navel ring. I have been more than patient. I realize that things happen and obstacle occur but this amount of wait time is ridiculous. Basically its like Ive been waiting for my navel ring since June...July....Aug....Sept...Now its towards the end of October. and still waiting. I wonder if I will receive it this year?Im disappointed because I did not have it for the summer. because I expected Maria Tash establishment to address this issue promptly and been honest and forth coming about the time to receive the piece. I am starting to feel like my patience is being taken for granted and that they do not value me as a customer. And they do not care about the inconvenience they caused. At this point I will call them to request a full refund. I am very disappointed by their lackadaisical attention. I am very disappointed with the way Maria Tash staff has conducted business thus far I really expected more professional service and quality especially for the price because her jewelry is not cheap in price.After threatening a lawsuit and soliciting the help from the BBB. Venus by Maria Tash finally decided to do the right thing by providing a refund check on November 9, 2017. (4 months after purchase). Im glad that the nonsense with Venus by Maria Tash can now be laid to rest.

Rob is the BEST piercer of all time!!! I must say I was very impressed with this store’s level of professionalism and customer service. Rob pierced my daith and I felt absolutely nothing! Will definitely go back to the 653 Broadway New York location again.

I recently had a virtual consult with Ashley to discuss some concerns I had about a Tash rook piercing. I ended up getting an appointment earlier than expected and the advice was great. Twice now, I’ve tried to come here and been disappointed. The staff at the front is always so welcoming and kind, but the piercers always seem rushed and rude. Stopped by today, showed the piercer a photo of what I wanted, with a VERY quick glance, he said, “too shallow” and moved on to next girl with a “what did you want, hun?” Didn’t touch my ear, didn’t ask me if I maybe wanted to do it on the other side, or if we could do something similar but different or even if I wanted to do something completely different instead. I couldn’t even ask any questions because of how QUICKLY he moved on from me. My entire interaction with this man lasted about 6 seconds, and my mother, jaw dropped looked at me and said, “is that it?” to which the piercer, fully having heard her, ignored us and continued with the next client, so we just walked out. Felt rushed and honestly after seeing that, wouldn’t have trusted him to pierce me anyway. I’m 0/2 at this place, but have loved a couple others in the city/Brooklyn. If I were you, I wouldn’t waste your time or money here, because clearly they don’t value their clients, their client’s time and effort to come in and WAIT for a what is ALWAYS a very long time, and if they turn you away as quickly as that, then that tells me that the piercers aren’t comfortable doing anything that’s not 100% vanilla, straight forward lobes or upper cartilage stuff (you know, the same stuff they do at CLAIRE’S IN THE MALL or other great shops for MUCH CHEAPER) which makes me question their experience level if I’m being honest.I have over 18 piercings. I’ve been around the block and worked with a LOT of different piercers. This piercer was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve ever had in 23 years of getting pierced. Go somewhere else. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Large selection of earrings. Some are tame. Some are adventurous and fun. Possibly wild. Atmosphere was chill. An open space that allows the products to take center stage. Can be packed with people, but everyone was having a good time. Went out of my way to fly to NYC to get piercings and the experience. Will do it again.

Went here this past weekend after a friend’s recommendation. Got there 10 minutes after it opened and there were already a few people waiting to get their ear(s) pierced (it comes to show how popular the shop is). Earrings are pricey but was willing to make the investment for a proper experience. Rob pierced my ear and was the best! My friend happened to have gotten her ear pierced by him as well so it was kismet. I was a little nervous but the fact that he was thorough in explaining the process made me feel at ease. Took a deep breath, felt a pinch and it was over, in what it felt like, seconds. Already planning what I want to do next!!

Maria Tash needs to be investigated for predatory, malicious omission of information to mislead customers. They leave just enough grey area in the sales script to legally skate by their policies. I’ve had the misfortune of coming here twice for piercings — their sales people are trained to leave out key info — “come back for a free follow up after a piercing to swap out the back”; neglecting to mention the swapping piece costs $35. They’ll claim a piece isn’t for piercing and you can return it if you don’t like it; then when you try to return they gaslight you and say the piece can’t be returned bc it *will* be used for piercing. If “UX dark patterns” materialized, it would be in the form of Maria Tash’s business practices. Literal garbage. Don’t be scammed like I was.

I often get piercings at this location. The staff is friendly and the piercers are very reassuring. The jewelry is expensive but most are real diamonds so you get what you are paying for. The only downside is how small this location is. I’ve now been to the London locations and the new location in Ireland and this store is like a closet compared to those. It’s very very small and only 2 or 3 people can be helped at a time. Then to get a piercing you need to climb a steep flight of stairs to the second level, which isn’t very accessible for people with disabilities. I wish they would move into a nicer location, but it won’t stop me from coming back.

Writing this review over a year after I got pierced here.I got an anti-tragus piercing done Feb 2018 and had to have it removed July 2019 as it never healed, despite following all of the aftercare instructions strictly for over a year. I went to another piercing studio to get a second opinion and was told that the piercing was not in the correct sweet spot so my ear was essentially treating it as an open wound for the past year, never healing fully. Also, it was initially pierced with a hoop which should not have been the case, which I did not know at the time.I know anti-trangus piercings are tricky, but I expected a lot more from such an expensive store that touts itself as one of the best piercing studios. Will not recommend to anybody I know.

Quality of piercing was great, but the price of their jewelry is kinda outrageous, plus I felt talked down to the whole time. My friend and I got our piercing done in their alphabet city location, which has since perminantly closed, and their attitude was much better. Really disliked the icky feeling I got from the mean girls club behind the counter at the Broadway location.

It all started 12 summers ago, I was wandering around the streets of NYC after a Vinyasa Yoga class. Feeling renewed and brave after multiple warrior poses. I stumbled upon this beautiful piercing parlor, it was so clean and brightly lit, unlike any piercing place I’ve come across. I had to go in. Actually, maybe I should keep this short.Pros:-Clean-Professional-Beautiful sélection of unique jewelry-Serene environment-You get a fine point sharpieCons:-You’ll never want to get pierced elsewhere so be prepared to trek to NYC whenever you feel the itch to get pierced.

Had the best experience from start to finish - all personnel were kind, hilarious and beyond professional. I was in the store for about an hour and watched how hands on and personal the experience was for each customer. They eased all nerves and my piercer, Rob, was INCREDIBLE. 10/10 experience could not recommend higher!

In addition to the gorgous body jewelry & piercing service, Venus is now offering tattoos!! I just had a small tattoo done on my ankle by Chris and he was awesome!! He did a great job and he was super fast. The facility is very clean and everyone was so friendly!! I am really happy with my tattoo - I will try and post a picture here. I definitely recommend seeing Chris for your inking needs.

Everyone there is so nice and welcoming. Rob (I think Im remembering his name) who did my piercing was fantastic. He was so calm and walked me through each step so I wouldnt be nervous. I love their jewelry selection and I will definitely be back the next time Im in New York City.

Updating this review for two separate parts of the business.First, a warning, do NOT shop with them online. Their customer service is truly horrendous and they rarely actually ship things on time. I have been trying for a year now and have only gotten one order out of probably 12-15 when they promised it, despite most pieces I ordered being in stock; they frequently ship things at wrong speeds or take days to weeks to actually get it to the carrier. Once something was apparently out of stock, despite being on their website, which I only found out because the rest of the order shipped and arrived without the piece. I waited for another week or so before following up and asking when it might come. They finally figured it out and gave me a refund. I guess they would have just kept my money if I didnt say anything...? If you have something backordered, best of luck! I got something that was supposed to come within 12 weeks and had been in near constant communication with them because it was for a wedding 14 weeks from the order date. When I did a final check in two days before would have been the end of the 12 weeks, I was told they actually wouldnt ship it until four MORE weeks?? Why on earth they hadnt told me this at any point prior (including two weeks before when I had JUST spoken to them about making sure I received it on time) is beyond me. And, the only resolution was to give me a refund. I now have no jewelry for the wedding and gave them an interest free loan for three months. Ridiculous. If I could give them below 1 star, I absolutely would do so.At the actual store, I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly everyone who worked here was - no one tried to upsell me and the associate who helped my friend and I extensively explained everything and was just generally very helpful, friendly, and deferred to our preferences on looks without pressuring us about anything or rushing us (even though it took a bit of time and we ended up being the second to last people before they closed on a rainy Friday!). The piercer himself was also nice but not overly chatty. They were good about aftercare in person and helped when I had an issue (this was all at the beginning of March 2020). I also made a visit to them in September 2020 and they were easy to navigate with appointments, though Im not sure how much has changed in the last year. This part gets 5 stars.

I went with my wife to this luxury piercing place in the heart of Manhattan. The place is on 2 floors, on the main you have a huge selection of piecings, with high quality (and price aligned). Once you choose your piercings you go on the second floor where very experienced piercing “master” will take care of you. My wife were very happy with this experience.

I got both my first and second piercings done here. They always take their time, and are very sterile. They have super cute jewelry, but it is on the pricier side. I have had really good experiences here!

Beautiful jewelry. One staff member who does the piercings was exquisitely unresponsive to feedback which required him to completely redo an entire piercing placement because he refused to bend the piece shorter like I asked. For a $300 piece of jewelry I found this unacceptable and asked him to redo it.

Beautiful Jewelry, however... Horrible piercing experience! The lady was unfriendly and after piercing my cartilage and getting a bar that was too small stuck in my freshly pierced ear,, she proceeded to try and fiddle it out for 5 minutes which felt like an entire hour of pain on a freshly pierced, sore wound. She was rude and it was obvious she knew she made a mistake, by how fast she tried to get us to leave the store after she was finally done. The piercing got infected due to the bar that was still too short, and i had to pay another piercer to exchange the jewelry to surgical steel and fix my swollen infected ear one month later.Buy Jewelry here, its gorgeous. I do not recommend getting pierced by them.

Ive gotten a couple of piercings at the Venus shop in New York and it was not the best, because my piercer got the marks wrong and a couple of the holes turned at uneven distances. Thats partly my fault because I should have checked the marks more thoroughly (of course, I didnt think I had to because the piercer was supposed to be super experienced - my mistake). Also, the online shopping experience used to be efficient, but lately it has become a mess: they have listed items that are supposed to be in stock and ship within 24 hrs, and then, after days of nagging them about the order status, it turns out they have inventory mishaps and items are out of stock, and will ship in about 4-6 weeks (which in my experience has been actually over 8 weeks). This happened to me three times in the past couple of months, and several times to one of my friends as well. Venus, you should really try to improve your customer service and check your inventory!

You have to have identification with you regardless of your age, very fast and clean. after choosing your earring it will take on average of thirty minutes to sanitize your earring; after you get your piercing done they will teach you how to keep your piercing from getting infected. Love how they will help you in styling your ear, love the minimal earring designs too

Thank god for Ashley, the piercer this morning who removed my embedded/infected earring (after i went to an Urgent Care doctor who told me it would need to be cut away by a plastic surgeon 😵). She was so gentle, kind, and easy to talk to, on top of getting the job done!!

I was pierced by Ashley at their flagship store and she was amazing! I had three piercings done at once and she was super fast and pain free. She also had great jokes to distract me!

The stylist was so patient with me. I came in not knowing exactly what to do. Sophia, the piercer, answered all my questions and gave me the best and first cartilage piercing for my sensitive ears. And of course, the reason why I love mariatash to begin with is the jewelry!

Piercing experience was good. The jewelry however is really poor quality. It all broke or fell out within a few months… for the prices they should really make these things better quality and have them stay in one piece and in your ear.

Staff is very friendly and professional! Jewelry is a high quality solid gold all the way. Im so happy with my new ear piercing and definitely coming back soon! Thank you

Poor customer service. It was taking so long, I had to walk out without a purchase. The staff couldn’t even tell me prices - looking up each item was taking a very long time. They were also answering phone calls while servicing me (not to put them on hold but actually responding and looking things up).Also, you can’t try them on and it is thus v hard to establish fit with huggers. If I’m spending over $1000 for one earring, I’d like to be assured of the fit. ...!

Their jewelry is beautiful (if expensive), and they do a good job with the actual piercing, but they are HORRIBLE with giving consistent good advice on the phone if you call them with any issues or questions about piercing care or health issues!!!!! This has happened to me not once but twice.The most recent experience was this week when my daughter got a slightly alarming infection in her pierced ear. I called on the phone, described the problem, and they told me I should bring her in and they would help me diagnose and care for it. So I took off work early, picked her up at school, and brought her in. When I got there the woman asked me if there had been any pus and what color it was... I answered yes, yellow/red, and she said oh because of liability issues I cannot help you at all, you must go to a doctor. Why the hell couldnt someone have asked me that simple question and given me that simple answer ON THE PHONE, and saved me and my daughter a hell of a lot of time!!?? We dont live very near to Maria Tash, and I missed work because I thought they were the right people to help us; I could have used that time to take my daughter straight to the doctor instead!!! And by the time we left Maria Tash our doctors office was closed, leaving me with the option of waiting 24 more hours to take my daughter with an infected ear to a real professional who could help, or going to an emergency room. Not only did Maria Tash inconvenience us, but the store made the health risks worse by delaying the correct care.The other time we had this problem was back when we got her ears pierced. We were going away in August to a location with lake swimming. I called them in late July and said will it be a problem if my daughter gets her ears pierced now; will she be able to swim in a lake in mid August? The person I got on the phone said it should be fine, as long as it has been several weeks since the piercing, you should be able to flush the ear with saline after getting out of the lake and youll be fine. OK, I said, and brought her in to get the ears pierced. Immediately after the man pierced her ears he started giving us care advice and stressed that she was not to do any lake swimming for a whole two months! When I told him about the flushing-with-saline plan Id been told on the phone, he said oh no, thats a terrible idea, I cant support that. And that was that -- the ears were already pierced, and my daughter could not put her head underwater for her entire summer vacation.So, I really think the store needs to get its act together about how it deals with piercing health, and make sure the people who talk to folks on the phone are on the same page, and know what theyre saying! Especially they should realize that telling someone to just come in to the store and well help you is not a neutral thing, if where they need to go is a doctor, because it wastes time!!!!! Both of these incidents really inconvenienced us, and this recent time it was dangerous too.

The place looks clean. The staff downstairs that helps to choose piercing jewelry is nice but not all of them tho. They have to improve customer service. The guy that did my nose piercing messed up. He did it uneven and did not offer to remake it. So I had to ask him to remake it.( a guy with fully tattooed neck and arms) And after all I didn’t even get any “sorry” from him:) it kinda hurts you know so a little word of support would be nice to get. But regardless bad customer experience I like how it looks like. So I guess it’s a raffle out there, if you feel you are a lucky person, go there and everything will be fine. Otherwise find another place ;)

I’ve been dying to come to a Maria Tash location for quite some time. I’ve purchased jewelry prior at the nyc Nordstrom. I went in with the intention of getting a piercing and getting some information of jewelry for my existing piercing since some of them are a much larger gauge then I seen I could buy. Sebastian was the sales person that helped me and he was wonderful. He went over some options that I could do with my existing piercings. And decided on a new piercing that i could eventually build around. I was a little undecided on some new jewelry and he didn’t pressure me at all. He simply wrote down what it was I was looking at with his name for me to call him and he would ship them to me if I changed my mind. The piercer I had was rob. Who I thought was just as wonderful. He made the experience quick, easy and Enjoyable. I look forward to coming back to build my already very pierced ears !

I’m in my 5th piercing and counting... what is most incredible for me is the quick healing process; in my case, because of the jewelry , being allergic to any metal I wasn’t able to rock a piercing until I found you in NYC! I’ve to share my experience about their customer service . I bought a $910 diamond ear stud and got my ear pierced at the NYC store in July 2019 and fast forward Jan 2020 this happened .I don’t live in NYC , 6 months down and this expensive ear stud breaks into 2 pieces and my ear got infected becoz of it .I reached out to the customer service as this should never happen to a high end expensive piece of ear stud . Their answer was they will repair and send it back and were not looking at the quality of their product and acknowledging their fault. All they say is they will repair it as it’s out of warranty . I just got past 6 months and it has not even been a year for me to ignore and move on .Bad quality jewellary ,

Beautiful jewellery, but really really expensive. Got a helix piercing, absolutely painless. They only accept walk-ins, so no appointment necessary. Before settling on a piercing type / jewellery piece you’ll get a consultation. Hygiene standards are on point, you see everything being sterilised. The whole process from walking in to walking out took approximately 25 minutes. I believe there can be a line on the weekends.

I will preface this review by saying that I have multiple ear and body piercings (over 20), and have worn jewellery by most of the major quality body jewellery brands (BVLA, neometal, anatometal etc)Firstly, Maria Tash jewellery is not expensive for what it is, and anyone who says so clearly has not done their research. Of course it costs more than mall jewellery - its gold and diamond, intricate and specially made and designed for piercings. Dont come here if you want a $20 piercing!! Maria Tash pieces are actually more competitively priced than their main competitor, BVLA. The main difference is that only a small selection of the designs come in CZ vs diamond, and overall their pieces are more delicate than BVLA designs. However, there is still a decent selection of CZ septum, daith, navel and ear designs, and most of their smaller diamond pieces are under $250. The threading on Tash pieces is definitely superior to all other brands, because the threaded section is much longer and also has a tapered end to guide it into the post, which makes it much easier to change the jewellery at home if you need to. I did lose one of my gold spiked clickers - the fastening could be more secure, which has put me off buying any of their more expensive diamond clickers.Ben is a fantastic piercer, and overall just such fun to get pierced by. Highly recommend in every way, very experienced and skilled, and a great eye for placement Everything is clean and sterile practices are followed throughout, so any complaints of infection are down to improper wound care post-piercing, which they obviously have no control over.Ive also been pierced by Penny in the London store, for a very-well placed daithThey will also pierce you with your own jewellery if it is of appropriate quality (neometal, anatometal etc.) - there are actually very very few stores that will do this. Their piercing prices are also reasonable for a central NYC location.I found the girls on the counter a little standoffish but no more than normal for NYC.My main criticisms are- jewellery stockage is a bit haphazard, so if you want a specific piece, call the store in advance to make sure they have it- they tend to upsell jewellery at the expensive of ideal piercing practises - for example they use their eternity clickers in initial piercings, and these pieces have a small wearable that leaves very little space for swelling. Ive also seen a lot of larger pieces used as initial jewellery in difficult to heal areas, as well as rings as initial conch jewellery (both not recommended at most other APP-approved piercing places) Their standard posts are 19g, which I find does not heal as well as a 16g post - however, you can order 16 and 18g posts in advanceBe sensible with your initial jewellery choice (a stud with a 3-6mm design top is best in my experience), plan ahead, and follow the correct post-piercing procedures and this is an absolutely fantastic place to get pierced and shop for jewellery

I got pierced here back when I first turned 18 so just about 10yrs ago. Since then Ive stopped in for jewelry from time to time.I went because I read Britney Spears had come here and belly button rings were all the rage, so where better to go than where she had gone? I was also told by the piercer that some Rockettes and other people regularly came in.Part of why Im taking the time to write this review is because I took my navel ring out a few years ago. I have a very minimal scar from it.Ive seen women who did the navel piercing and now have huge long scars that theres nothing they can do about. Mine looks at worst like a pin prick up close. I credit a competent piercer for this. Might seem like an odd reason to write a review but thought it might help someone to decide. Would recommend

I’m 61 and now have 12 Maria Tash piercings and I’m addicted! Jolene in NY has been my go-to. I have been planning from the beginning to have 2 parallel conch rings, and with her thoughtfull advice, she suggested get one first, let it heal, then come back for the second. Makes sense. Also great advice as to which daith earring might be uncomfortable to sleep on based on my anatomy. I’m constantly being complimented on my curated ears!

Very courteous, absolutely professional piercing services here. Their jewelry is very special, unique, beautiful and thoughtful. You wont see anyone else wearing any pieces from here. Ive pierced my daith and rook here and strangers compliment me all the time.

Im not thrilled about the prices. Marks up ridiculous. Just thankful my piercer was professional, clean and I didnt feel the piercing actual happening. However, the lack of aftercare kit and guide for the money spent is unappreciative towards customers for the money spent.

I took my daughter to get her ears peirced. Super friendly staff. Extremely clean and sanitary place. The peircing room looked like a doctors office (in a good way)I forgot the name of the guy who did the work, he was heavily tattooed with body mods and name stated with a B, but he was amazing and my daughter barely felt a pinch. Would highly recommend!

The sales person for the earring was pretty nice but in hindsight, a little confused about why I was asked to leave a tip in advance of my piercing. At the time before the piercing, I was expecting it was going to be a wonderful experience, but unfortunately it wasn’t - and I already tipped?! Crazy.So the piercing area can get very busy and when I was there was backed up all the way down the stairs. The piercers do a good job of moving people through - but maybe they should slow down a bit. My piercer was all business and disinterested at the same time. When we were talking about placement of cartilage piercing and pain with piercing - he told me one wasn’t more “ouchy” than the other and then after he pierced the cartilage and I put my glasses back on and discovered that the arm of my glasses hits the back of the piercing - he told me “you’re fine”. NEXT!Well I’m fine as long as I keep the glasses with the thin arm - but when I switch to a thicker arm it really doesn’t workSo I’m not fine - and I feel stupid for over tipping in advance. Should I have expected more?

I love the jewelry there.. expensive but Its super worthy! I saw that some where saying that they were racist, Im from Mexico (and the staff there was aware of that), I went to the store in Soho and they treated me excellent.The reason why Im giving 3 stars its because when you want to buy something online, there are only have few things available and all the others are like made to order and in the website it says that if you order it now it will be shipped in 4 weeks and this is not true. It definitively takes more than 4 weeks when its back order.Other from that, I think the jewelry is really pretty and awesome quality. The staff (in stores and customer service ) are very helpful and friendly.:)

I had a great experience at the store and got a gorgeous diamond princess ring for my conch piercing. Unfortunately it came loose and is now lost, which is super sad. Just a warning to others who arent sure about the price/quality!

GO TO JEWELES 32!I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Venus by Maria Tash is an awful and unprofessional place. My daughter wanted to get her belly button pierced and she id 14. My daughter call Venus at least 7 times due to her having many concerns and questions about a navel piercing and talked to multiple different people and told them how old she was and asked if it was ok to get it done at her age and what was required to get it done (no one said anything about id), no one told my wife that she need to bring my daughters student id and birth certificate. My wife and daughter live in Rockland county, so with all the traffic in the city it took them and hour and a half to get there so there was no way they were going home and coming back. So i took 2 hours out of my work day to take pictures of my daughters birth certificate and student id, they wouldnt even accept her security code. While i was getting all her information at home, My daughter was choosing her jewelry and there were barley any choices (16 pieces of jewelry) only dangly jewelry and big clunky diamonds and as a 14 year old i didnt want her to wear that sort of jewelry at such a young age. And the jewelry was ridiculously priced, if she loved a piece of jewelry there even though it was around 300-500 i wouldve let her get it. The jewelry looked trashy and the workers were completely rude. I do not recommend this place to any one. My wife and daughter ended up going to Jewels 32 which is right around the corner from Venus by Maria tash, they had so many jewelry choices, very professional, very friendly, hassle free and clean. My daughter loved Jose (the man who pierced her).

Was visiting New York yesterday when my nose ring fell out and this place just happened to be around the corner. My piercing had closed. The people were extremely nice and helpful. The piercer was so gentle on my nose! If i lived in this area I Would come here all the time for my jewelry!!

The jewelery is beautiful. Let me preface with that. Putting it in was a bit strange. Upstairs there is a pretty rickety table, and a piercer who I think dropped my piece in a sanitizing solution, but I dont think he autoclaved it or anything similar.Ive heard some stories of them letting folks try on a piercing piece of theyre doing a swap out. I get youre purchasing a larger ticket item here, but I hope those are rumors only... Though from my experience, Im not discounting that.

I was so disappointed and disrespected by the two staff who overlooked me and warmly welcomed a non person-of-color who came into the store ten mins. after me.I have now told all those who gave rave reviews about my experience. And they refused to go back and in return will share my experience with peers and friends.I invite and encourage you to BOYCOTT Venus by Maria Tash.This business has poor customer service and clearly RACIST staff.I wouldnt recommend this place. Whatever your piercing desires, theres a design just for you. If you run into problems, the piercing technicians will help you efficiently and are knowledgeable. They, of course, do piercings at this location and are reasonably priced. All products are high quality.

Great selection, great staff.The front desk person (Sebastian) helping me was friendly and patient. I could tell that the piercer was a bit rushed since there were a lot of people but I still felt welcome and had a good experience.

So I made the mistake of getting my cartilage pierced with a gun a few years ago. When it supposingly healed I tried to change the jewelry piece and it sadly got infected. I had to wait 6 months for it to close up and heal. All in all, my 21st birthday came along and I wanted to repierce my cartilage. This time, I decided to go to Maria Tash. Best decision ever! Although its a bit pricey, I got to pick out an earring that I would wear long term. My piercer made me feel comfortable, didnt rush at all and I never had to repierce it again.I went back and got my tragus pierced by them too.

Had a horrible customer service experience with Ashley the piercer. She was extremely snappy and rude. I love the jewelry and would have been a longtime customer but she really ruined what should have been a fun experience with her attitude. So disappointing.

Why say you close at 8 pm when you’re piercers are too lazy to take one more person in at 7:25 pm? Unprofessional staff with BS excuses. Sorry your staff had better plans for their Saturday evening than serve your customers. If you are going to position yourself as a high end place, then act like one.
