NYC Tattoo Studio

A very pleasant and friendly atmosphere in the tattoo parlor and a warm attitude. They took our group of 8 people right away. The lady named Sofia was very gentle and it didnt hurt at all. I recommend everyone who likes tattoos to go here. Iam satisfied with access. Thank you

One of my favorite shops in the area. very clean and easy to reach by public transportation.Erik was a very patient and friendly artist, answering any questions i had regarding the tattoo and advising me on proper aftercare. anybody who gets work done by Erik will definitely love the end results - i sure do!

Tattoo artist Alexis O. did an amazing job on my tattoo. He was super professional. The tattoo came out 11/10. The lines were super clean. Perfection.

I came to get a tattoo designed and done. The space is a bit small, so when there’s a lot of clients coming in for flash, it can be a bit crowded, but the artists are very professional and also friendly. Juliya was my artist, she’s been fantastic to work with, I’ll be coming in for a second session with her.I say all of the artists are pleasant… But there’s an exception. Amongst all of the artists there, there was one named Alexis who was incredibly rude. Very confrontational, getting up in the space of other artists and raising his voice, telling them that the way they handle their clients is unprofessional, even directly insulting their tattoos. This was all done in the presence of me and several other clients. It got to the point where he was in another artist’s face, and the two of them took their fight outside. It sounded like they were intending to fist fight, but we believe they really only continued to argue. But after that, Alexis’ presence made everyone, artists and clients, deeply uncomfortable. After he left, I was told by the other artists that the purpose of this tattoo shop was to not have a manager, that each artist manages themselves. Alexis definitely seemed like he was trying to manage everyone else though.Besides that one awful experience with such an unprofessional artist, I highly recommend this place. Great artwork, pleasant artists (minus Alexis), and well worth your time.

Angel tattoo artist was understanding of how importance of the tattoos I was getting on 3.13.2024. Angel is talented, patient and caring. I had the opportunity to re pierce my nose with Karla she was gentle and quick. Overall. Amazing talent artistic folks. I will definitely come back and bring friends and families.

Honestly not trying to sound rude because I’m usually very shy and don’t really do reviews, but this is was one of the worst tattoo studios I have been to. Maybe if your a regular of know the people who work there, they will be more likely to tell the truth about flash sales and advertisement but it was a compete scam. They made us feel like we’re were just dumb, clueless tourists. Below is what I posted to the “$44 flash sale advertisement” hopefully reading it, it would be better understood. Definitely not coming back… went to a more friendlier and truthful shop where were were happier with how we were treated.

Went in today and got a great retouch of a hand tattoo by Prea. The shop has a policy that retouching is done by the same artist that did your tattoo, which Prea explained to me. However it was my last day traveling in NY and Prea was able to do it for me happily for free. He did a great job and both times I went I had a great experience.

I’ve been waiting outside of their location for over 40 min ringing their doorbell and calling their phone and no one has answered! It’s really unfortunate because I’m visiting from Chicago and kept getting recommended on IG of this place and really wanted to get a tattoo here! It would’ve been a fun experience but unfortunately it seems they don’t care about their business by letting potential customers just wait outside and not open the door or answer their phone! Waste of time. Got here at 1:55pm and now it’s 2:45pm and still nothing… how do you run a business like this? Very unprofessional!!!

Prea was extremely kind and informative during my session, he was gentle and I loveee my tattoo! I look forward to coming back because I know I am in great hands and I am treated with respect. 🙏🏻🤍

I had an appointment for the $44 tattoo made a week ahead from the website, fully confirmed and everything. I arrived 15m before the appointment to be met with waiting at the door for 20m with no response from ringing the bell. Tried to ring other places within the building and still nothing. I called 3 times, and texted via the website. Nothing. 1h train ride for nothing.

Got my first official tat last week, its healed up very well so far!Steven was my artist and he was very chill. :)The atmosphere tended to be calm and cool, all the artist and even clients were friendly and the tattos are bangers!For my first tat I thought my at home kit (hurt like hell dont do it) would be a testament for the pain but Steven was very smooth w it.I recommend coming as they have pretty reasonable prices! But if youre poor like me, it can hurt a little (lot) 😭 but imo my tatto was worth it. I love the way it came out.

We are on our honeymoon, and my husband, who has no tattoos, told me a month or two before the trip he had tattoo designs if we wanted to get them. It was looking like it wouldn’t happen until I saw this beacon in the second floor night sky.We stopped in, and Steven, our amazing artist, specialized in type of tattoo I love (fine lines). I immediately trusted Steven. He knew his stuff, and let my husband, who is the artist of the family — and conceptualized this tattoo as his first and our tattoo; be hands on in the design process. It was SO FUN to watch them work — even though what I was receiving was a surprise to me. Steven took the time to help my husband convert a PENCIL SKETCH into a forever design.The vibe was perfect. The artist was perfect. The tattoo is perfect. Steven’s light touch and line work is *chefs kiss* phenomenal. Usually you see little areas of imperfection on something as small and delicate as this… nada. I also barely felt the needle due to Steven’s light touch. I was amazed and wish I lived closer to be able to use him regularly. Also, the shop is clean. So clean the smell of antiseptic hits you when you walk in. Something you don’t get everywhere. It’s awesome.The tattoo….It’s made of 4 triquetras (Celtic knots) that make a heart. We split the heart in half and he has half on his arm, half on mine. Both facing the side we sleep on at night (so we are constantly facing each other), and mine thinner and more feminine and his a bit thicker to match his future bindings.It’s perfect and I’m so in love with my husband, the design, the experience, and the fact that I have a little piece of history now because we were tattooed in the place that advanced American tattooing, and was once the tattoo capitol, the Bowery area of NYC. Which is also one of my favorite area of NYC.It’s been a perfect trip. Thanks Steven for this memory.

I booked the appointment off of an ad on instagram, came in and spoke to Juliya about the design I had in mind and the placement, she sketched it up perfectly and was so excited to design it as well. The studio was nice and clean and you could see out on to the street which was a nice place to look while she worked on the tattoo 😂. First tatttoo experience in NY but I’d gladly come back and get tattooed by her again. 10/10 Would recommend Juliya .

I went with a friend for their $44 special, going on till 6/30 and when I got there it was not as advertised.Theres no book or collection of these $44 Tatts. The lady gave me all the books they had to look through and told me if I see something simple that I like, talk to her to see if that’s apart of the special. So they arbitrarily decide which one’s are apart of the deal on a case by case basis.Finally found one I like then she tried to haggle the price up while shrinking the size twice! I decided against it; It wasn’t worth the hassle and it was a pretty shady business practice. If they had a hassle-free process, used actual images that were apart of the deal in the marketing, I could’ve had a good experience and maybe got bigger tatt there another time or refer people there. But I nearly walked outta there paying double what they advertised.To be fair, the ladies didn’t like how the guy(who posted the ad) worded it.

The best customer service, very detail oriented and so careful, they took time with us to discuss all the details as well as the tattoo itself came out so nice😍

Angel was so awesome. I showed him what i was looking for beforehand and he had the stencils already prepped for the day of. He took his time and allowed my sister and I do corrections when needed. He has such a soft hand. My sister and I were very happy with the outcome and the price was very reasonable.

Erik did an amazing job! I walked into this shop on a whim, wanting something to add to my collection of tattoos. Erik had just the piece for me! His design not only matched my aesthetic but the industry that I work in as well.Top it off, he went above and beyond by extending my last-minute visit past closing time to finish the tattoo.I will be happy to refer him to anyone in the area, especially when I visit New York again!

Exploring chinatown I found this tattoo studio l walked in and pick two tattoos. I wanted more!!!! Prea was so friendly, will definitely return again on my next visit

Really amazing customer service. 2nd time going here to get tattooed and it’s honestly amazing. You feel welcomed and very reasonable prices. Definitely recommend to come here if you ever feel like getting anything done.

@Rafaelangeles was my artist, originally I was going to do a flash design and I’m glad we switched it up because he tweaked the design and he really put his flare on it. A really great artist, cool guy, my friend and I both got tattoos and made us feel very welcome

I would not recommend this tattoo shop for anybody of color. I walked in to get the $44 flash sale tattoo as well as two other black woman who had walked in before me. Ifirst thought it was weird that they walked in before me, but I was able to get seated before they did. On top of that, They proceeded to ask one of the workers there a quick question and her response was I’m clocking out, but when they reiterated that it’s just one quick question, she still refused to help them because she was clocking out. It was very obvious they felt disrespected and left, which is when I decided I should probably leave to, but regardless, that lady who was so-and-so clocking out remained in that same spot that she was in for a good 5-10 minutes after they left so I don’t know why it was so hard for her to answer a quick question even though she was going off the clock. I find it very ghetto and unprofessional that you would refuse help a “quick question” bc you’re going off the clock. She wasn’t in a rush she was literally standing in the same spot for ten minutes. Also the $44 flash tattoo is a scam. The website clearly indicates that you could either pick from their own flash tattoos are coming with your on and one of the tattoo artist before he left did help us out and reiterated that I could grab a flash tattoo off of Google. Once I did exactly that and I showed the other tattoo artist what it is that I wanted , he told me that it would been $150. This tattoo was the same size if not smaller, then most of the tattoos on the flash tattoo wall. And when I told him this was for the flash tattoo, he directed me to the flash tattoo wall, where he expected me to pick one of them, Rinky dinky flash tattoos as if the website, as if his coworker just didn’t Tell me I could pick one out from my own collection aka google, Pinterest, etc.NOT FOR BLACK PEOPLE! Zero respect for black woman. 0/10 would not recommend!!

I went to the Canal location with the mindset of just getting a quick flash sale tattoo but ended up getting something bigger after looking at their books. Mauricio did an excellent job on my forearm with the tattoo I chose. He was very professional and accommodating. I will definitely go back (in fact I already recommended them to a family member). My time at NYC tattoo studio was fantastic. Raphael who did my tattoo did a phenomenal job, he tweaked the style of my tattoo to fit my aesthetic and I was very appreciative of this! The tattoo itself, I am in love. Highly recommended!So happy to finally receive a tattoo by a fellow Filipino as well.

Definitely didn’t feel welcome or respected. I walked in for a small simple design and was talked about while standing there with my family. The guy thought it was appropriate to make condescending jokes as if I wasn’t listening so I had to walk out. Don’t get a tattoo from someone who doesn’t respect you as a person and customer.
