Ive been going to Big Steve since he had his shop in Marysville. I was 18 the first time I got a tattoo here, making it 5 years that Ive been getting tattoos by Big Steve exclusively, so heres my experience. (Scroll to the bottom for a bullet point shortened review.)Im always welcome. Always. I could be stressed out or nervous AF and Steve is always kind. He provides a welcome, relaxing environment even for those with social anxiety.Hes always accommodated for me. Bathroom breaks. Standing/stretching breaks. Scheduling an appointment based on my time preferences. Hes super chill.Not only is Steve kind, but Justin is as well. Ive never gotten work done by Justin, but we talk every time I see him, and hes even offered to go get me food or drinks when Im in the chair. Ian is also great and fun to talk to. As I havent gotten tattooed by Justin or Ian, all I can say is they are both kind, welcoming, and the artwork Ive seen by them is awesome!Speaking of artwork, Steve is always amazing at coming up with designs. I could simply tell him my idea and he comes up with great work, plus hes always open to changing the piece to my wants. He always gives his input on how a piece will look on the body part I choose, and makes adjustments to the art based on the size of the tattoo and placement. I trust him and his experience as a tattoo artist to give me a great looking tattoo that looks as good on my body as it does on paper/screen, and he always pulls through.Steve has done both color and black ink work on me, and as a person who tans a lot, these have held up wonderfully!Pictured is my latest piece right after the appointment. Clean lines. I love his shading. This piece mirrors a set of Jack-o-lanterns which are also set up as Comedy and Tragedy masks, and Steve got them lined up perfectly. I like symmetrical (different designs, sized the same, on the same spot of my body parts, e.g. ankle tattoos of the same size but different designs on each) and he has done a great job pairing up 12 designs!Ive gotten 14 tattoos by Steve, and each experience has been great!I was a bit worried about the new location (I have driving anxiety) but getting in the parking lot, parking, and getting out of the parking lot were a breeze!Bullet points:Steve is always:- Welcoming- Skilled- Kind and understandingThe shop is always:- Welcoming- Clean- FunPlease, if youre in the area, go to Artistic Temple! Steve is great to work with! He came up with a wonderful design that we made a few tweaks too. He has a gentle hand and I felt like I could fall asleep in his chair! I’m over the moon with the way my tattoo is come out, and I can’t wait for the color!

Kerry Rossi was my artist. Hand created, especially designed for me. I underestimated the creativity and artistic capability of a Tatoo artist. I will never see another artist again. If KR moves his career back to vegas, well then I’ll book a flight for my number 4 Tatoo!

A completely comfortable and amazing experience. The whole process took about 5 hours and couldn’t have gone smoother.Steve let me know what was going on every step of the way, to include aftercare and a phone number for any questions or concerns.I definitely recommend this shop.

Such a great shop, the artist are really fun to work with, very comfortable environment. I have always had a great experience, been going there for a little over three years. Justin has done a lot of my work and always brings my vision into reality. Always happy with the outcome.

First, the shop was tidy, and extremely clean. It even smelled clean in there.My image was redrawn for balance, and appropriate scale. I looks way better than the original concept art. The artists were pleasant and friendly. I felt relaxed and confident in their exceptional skill.

I’ve been going to the Artistic Temple Social Club Tattoo Shop since I was 18 (as I write this, that’s almost four years). The atmosphere is always pleasant, and it’s always clean. I get my work done by Big Steve. His black ink work is mainly what he features in his book and on his Instagram, but I usually get color, and it’s always crisp, clean, and doesn’t fade. All of the artists in the shop are nice, and based on the work I’ve seen from them, I’d trust them with my tattoos (Big Steve is just my go-to). Steve’s realism is unmatched, and he’s received many awards for his work. Making appointments is always easy, and the prices are fair for the work that’s being done. If you’re looking to get a great tattoo in a clean, calm, positive environment, I suggest The Artistic Temple Social Club (and if you ever get hungry during your session, ask Justin for a snack).

The guys at the shop was super friendly, and make sure you are comfortable. Ian did my tattoo and I’m in love with it. Ian’s a very chill person, I think I found my tattoo artist in my area!!

Best tattoo shop in the Northern area in my opinion. Ive been seeing Big Steve over the last yearn. After years of looking for the best artist I have finally found the one.

Been going here for a couple years. Now even though I moved 4 hrs away Im still driving back to get more ink, cant go anywhere else. Justin is the artist who has done my tattoos and he does AMAZING work, HIGHLY recommend.

Got my first detailed tattoo on Monday the 17th. The tattooist was an awesome guy that does great work. He went above and beyond, to make my tattoo excellent. I cant thank him enough. I thought my mom would hate it. But she loved it. I will definitely go back for more tattoos.

This is a very low key shop. Everyone is very approachable and they all do the best work in the area. I have multiple pieces by Ian and he is my go to guy for ink.All of the artists here specialize in something. Everyone is so down to earth and awesome to work with. I have friends whom I’ve recommended to this shop for their first tattoo over 50 years old and others for large pieces as well.I strongly recommend the shop. There will be a waiting list for large pieces, but it’s well worth it.

Justin was prompt, gave me exactly what I wanted for my brothers memorial piece, he was cool and made me feel totally comfortable, was fast and a great price for an excellent job! Highly recommend this dude!

Very unprofessional. If I could give less then 1 star u would. Justin kicked me out after refusing to do a 50$ script tattoo during the peach festival tht another artist already agreed to do. When explaining I was waiting for another artist he proceeded to curse and kick me out of the shop. Wouldnt return. 👎
