Lucid Body Piercing

Had a wonderful experience at Lucid on Sunday. Ally, our piercer, was kind, fun, patient & professional. I went with a group of four to have our ears double pierced; a couple of us were quite nervous, but she was so understanding and sweet. Alex was super nice. They have a great selection of earrings. Overall, an awesome experience and will definitely recommend to my friends!After an initial great experience, I am editing my review. We were given a return date 1 month out, to come back to have our posts cut down. After leaving 2 messages without a return call & attempting to reach out on social media with no response, I stopped at the business. It appears they are either closed down or in the process of moving, as it was in disarray & door locked.

I had a triple forward helix piercing in July but was unhappy with the placement of the upper most piercing so I went back 2 days later and had Alex remove that one. I was advised to wait appropriately 6 months for it to heal. I returned in Jan to have it repierced. Together we made sure it was placed just as I desired! And for no charge. Alex made me feel comfortable each time I was there. The place is clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Brought my kid to get their snake bites done today, Alex was the greatest person, so welcoming and down to earth! We will definitely be back for future piercings. Their studio is so cute too! Thank you again for making Kays experience such an easy one!! 🤗

Always friendly staff but the hours are weird and difficult to know when open and or closed. Im aware they kinda choose they hours possibly because of staff or life situation. But as a company maybe have hours posted that are regular in a way. I shouldnt have to call every single time I wanna come down and see of they are open and when. But the reason behind the 4 stars is the hours of operation. The staff I love and appreciate very much. I will continue to go to this place since it is a smaller company in which I trust more. Clean every single time I go in.

Alright , I never write reviews but this shop absolutely deserves 5 stars! First visit was to check out the shop and got my septum done. Because of how amazing Alex is, I felt extremely comfortable going back to get my nips done. Alex talks you through every step they do in the piercing process so you know what is going on at all times. Shop is very clean. Jewelry selection is perfect. Love this place and would recommend to anyone looking to get a piercing done.

Great selection of beautiful jewelry pieces to choose from! Alex did my 4 piercings: cartilage, rook, forward helix and conch. He was very professional and made me feel assured that everything was going to go smoothly.Only reason for 4/5 stars is that it is pricey $$$ and my rook later got infected after proper after-care and had to remove it. :(

Alex was absolutely amazing! They gave me a pair of high nostril piercings. The piercings look great and are healing well. Everything was very clean and the jewelry to choose from was impressive. I have a follow up appointment soon with them so they can ensure my piercings are healing. They really care about this art and their clients. I will definitely return and highly recommend them to everyone!

I’ve been to Lucid several times, for various piercings and jewelry changes.They have a great jewelry selection — many unique pieces, and everything is high quality and body safe. Their prices are very reasonable, and some of the brands come with a lifetime warranty (not that you’d need it, because Alex will make sure your jewelry is secure af).Alex has pierced my left nostril (which they lined up perfectly with my right nostril piercing from elsewhere), septum, and helix. Everything is very sterile and Alex is highly skilled. I plan on going back for more as soon as I can.I highly recommend Alex/Lucid to anyone who wants a piercing or nice jewelry for existing piercings!

Even though its a schlep, I come to Alex for my piercing needs and concerns. Theyre always reassuring and straightforward, and Ive brough my son here as well. Alexs original jewelry is also lovely although I havent purchased any yet.

Went in about 3 weeks ago with a group of friends-7 people needing piercings. They took us all and treated us so well. The jewelry is really nice and upscale and the attention to detail is flawless. Alex was kind and matched my energy really well. I have a lot of social anxiety when it comes to asking for what I want and this was a step for me to not be so scared for asking for what I want and couldn’t have asked for anything better. I went into Lucid hoping to upgrade my conch jewelry from a gold snowflake to something with more sparkle. I am incredibly indecisive, and Alex was so patient and accommodating - I took over an hour to decide on what I wanted. His prices are fair, and the quality of the pieces is great! Super easy to talk to and an overall fantastic experience. Will be coming back here for future piercings/jewelry!

Lucid is amazing! Alex is so helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The studio is beautiful and clean and there is a very large collection of jewelry options to choose from! I got two helix piercings here in June and have since bought several pieces of jewelry.

Lucid Body Piercing gave me a wonderful experience! I had my nipples pierced, and Alex was very professional. Alex let me know exactly what he was doing at all times, and made sure I was ready for both piercings. We spent time selecting jewelry and he was very patient while I decided. The entire experience was amazing. Caroline had welcomed us in and I was able to get a same day appointment just before closing. They did not seem to mind at all, and still treated me like I was a first client of the day. Thank you both so much!

Alex, the owner, pierced myself and my cousin. He was great. He was very knowledgeable about all the jewelry, the piercing process, and the healing process. He was up front and honest with all questions we asked. The studio was very clean and everyone was friendly. I will absolutely be going back for more! They also had a HUGE selection of jewelry that was very good quality!

To celebrate a recent lifetime achievement, I of course needed more holes in my head. Caroline and Alex were very professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Alex explained the downsides to the original piercing I had requested without being demeaning or seeming unwilling if had I insisted. He helped me figure out a better location and type of piercing in the same area of my ears that would heal better, and ultimately look better. while he finished appointments with earlier customers, Caroline, also very knowledgeable, talked with us about different stud options and conversation with her was like talking with a friend. When it came time for the piercings, Alex explained everything he was going to do, made sure I was happy with the placement, and I let him know when I was ready. I already have 15 piercings in my ears, but the two conch piercings from Lucid were the best experience thus far. Will return and highly recommend.

This place is amazing! I got my daith pierced and my upper cartilage re-done (for the 3rd time) a few months ago. I was just in for a jewelry change and the experience was fantastic, just like the piercing! Alex is wonderful!! He takes his time to explain EVERYTHING to you. I felt very little pain during the piercing and the changing of the jewelry.Some of the jewelry is a little expensive, but its VERY high quality! There are also affordable options and they dont push you to buy the expensive stuff. I had my cartilage reject twice before from bad piercing angles and/or bad jewelry. This current one is healing beautifully thanks to Alex. If you are considering getting any type of piercing, go to Lucid! You wont regret it!!

Me, my sister, my mom and my brother all came into Lucid Piercing super last minute and Alex fit us all in to get our piercings. Him and Caroline were so sweet and helpful and didnt rush us at all when looking through jewelry even though it was close to closing. I really do not understand or get the negative reviews on this place. Lucid( Alex, Michael)are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They both go above and beyond to help you make the right decision and make you feel comfortable while you are there. Lucid is LGBTQ+ friendly. The establishment is very clean and the jewelry is exceptional. They take time to answer all your questions and make sure you know what you’re doing with aftercare before you leave. There are other places around but lucid is the only place I trust with my kiddo or myself.

Michael took care of me for my piercings today and he did a FANTASTIC job. He was very thorough with cleaning the sites and marking where the needles would go, and the actual piercings themselves were quick and had minimal pain. Afterwards he got me as much water as I needed and even brought me a chocolate bar that another employee went all the way across the street to get to help me feel less dizzy. Above and beyond throughout the entire process. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be back if I consider any more piercings in the future

My first piercing was at Lucid Body Piercing with Alex. I was super nervous to get my septum piercing. I had scheduled it once and then canceled and rescheduled more than once, just from nerves, and they were always patient with me every time I called. After finally deciding to go through with it, even though I was late, Alex was super nice about it. They made me feel really comfortable and calmed me down through the process, and although my septum is deviated they were able to make the piercing sit just right.I loved the experience so much that I decided to get both of my nostrils pierced by them today, and again I was super nervous, but they sat with me through the process and alleviated my concerns. My piercings turned out AMAZING and the selection that they have is gorgeous. I would never go to another piercing studio.

Our piercer, Alex (yes same name as me), was caring, funny, and helpful. Both me and my partner got different piercings and the experience was not only very clean and consistently sterilized, but it was fun too! I got a helix piercing and my partner got regular ear lobe piercings.The end result piercings look amazing. We were able to call and make an appointment same-day. Absolutely will be coming back for any future piercings!

I had a great experience at this shop. Drove all the way from Elyria to get pierced at a studio with APP piercers. I got paired nostril piercings, the piercing experience was very quick, clean, and efficient. Every step of the process was explained to me. There is a wide selection of gorgeous jewelry to choose from. Drove back a month later to have my jewelry downsized and had a similarly pleasant experience. Cant recommend Lucid enough!

Went and got my nipples pierced there last night. The piercer was very knowledgeable and friendly. He did a really good job. 10/10. Would 100% recommend anyone getting a piercing to consider going here. If I get another piercing I will definitely be going back here. Also, I really like the fact that they have real living plants in the waiting room.

I just got my conch pierced literally 5 minutes ago and I needed to write a review because of how well they performed everything. The people at the front desk Monica and the owner Alex were very professional and they were very comforting. I was nervous about the piercing and they honestly made me forget all about it. The piercer Michael did a great job and walked me through all of the steps which also was comforting.They have a wide variety of jewelry and everything is beautiful. I would definitely recommend coming here!! I’ll be here for all my piercings from now on!

I got my septum pierced by Alex at the end of August, It was my first face piercing and i was very nervous, Alex was really welcoming and kind, it was all done so quick i barely had time to stress! These guys really know what they are doing and make it easy to get pierced. I have never met someone more passionate about the craft. I have watched him make custom jewelry specific to the projects he has in mind. He has performed literally dozens of piercings on me through the years and is always quick to get back to me if I have questions about care. His products are top quality and so is his work. He spends his free time figuring out how to improve his craft. Could you really ask for a better piercer?

As someone who has never got a piercing before due to a fear of needles, my first was an 8 gauge and Alex was nothing but helpful. With choosing the jewelry, and piercing itself. He told me exactly what he was doing and what to expect. Not only was he very informative he was also very friendly and made me comfortable. The process was fast, honestly, the worst part of it all was deciding which piece of beautiful jewelry I wanted.The aesthetic of the store is amazing too, the environment was also friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back for future gauges and hopefully more piercings!

I’ve only recently discovered this place and I’ve been so impressed. Their jewellery selection is great and I love that they aren’t prima donnas about only having overpriced BVLA jewelry—they carry gorgeous pieces by other more up and coming makers who also make body-safe fine jewellery. They also have stainless steel, gorilla glass, and a cool selection of ear weights.The staff is friendly and knowledgable. I haven’t personally had a piercing done here (yet) but some friends have and nobody has had any issues. Also this should go without saying for any piercing shop but this place was spotlessly clean.

The person I worked with was wonderful, patient and answered all my questions.I have tried to downsize my post while in the area on 3 separate occasions and they were closed I called and had to make an appointment because they are by Appointment only right now. Then I had to reschedule my appointment, and when I arrived no one was there. I called 3 times and no answer. Im bit frustrated to say the least.As promised, I’m updating my review. Alex was very willing to work with my schedule and was patient and took his time explaining not only to me what he was doing but to the new hire who was also very friendly. The level of care when in the care of the employees or owner is by far more than I expected and I’m happy to have over heard all the sanitation practices and procedures Alex went over with the New Employee. The owners are great! Not your typical piercing shop. It looks like a very clean, open, cooling environment. I felt like I was in good hands. Alex, the piercer, is very passionate about his work. He actually cares about how the piercing looks on the person and if it fits with them. Ive been to other places that just want my money and hurry through the process. The jewlery price is a bit high, but again, the experience is better and Ive gone to many different shops to get pieced at and this place definitely worth checking out.

I got my septum pierced back here in March, my second lobes done sometime earlier in the summer, and now my vertical labret today. Every single time I have felt cared for and put at ease. Michael and Alex both do AMAZING work and I’m happy that I chose this place as my piercing shop.

TL;DR: Go to Lucid. Stop reading other reviews and go see Alex. He knows what he is doing and will make you feel at ease. Great selection of jewelry, not too expensive, great to work with. Go. Now.I was looking online to find someone to do a 3rd lobe piercing for me. I started out at Good Life in Highland Square. Lots of jewelry to choose from, but it was all so expensive. Then I traveled to LaRox over on Arlington. Didnt even go in after reading their reviews about piercings and seeing how sketchy the place looked on the outside. But I read that Poni is the queen of tattoos, so I might check her out later.This led me to sit in a church parking lot for half an hour making phone calls and trying to find a place that could do this, and wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg. I finally came upon Lucid, which just happens to be right down the street from my house and in the same plaza as my dentist! Called to let them know I was on my way and off I went.Alex and his girl are amazing. They were helpful in guiding me through the process of choosing earrings, showing me just about everything they had in their cases. They explained to me how todays earrings are no longer the huge butterfly backed ones that we used to get a Claires and Piercing Pagoda. They also told me that I could have any pair of earrings I currently have modified into the new type of backing, which really excited me, cause I hate being poked in the head while on the phone or laying down.Alex talked to me through every step of the process. There was never a point in the process where I did not know what was happening. It put me at ease to know what he was going to do and when. And he was very picky about the placement of my piercings, even pointing out that someone back in 1994 screwed up my one ear because of the angle of the piercing (it just makes it look weird and like the earring is going to fall out of my ear all the time).I left the shop knowing that I was well taken care of, that the person that did my piercings cared about them, and knowing I could go back if I had any problems or questions. If I need anymore piercings, I will be sure to go back to Lucid. They have a great selection of jewelry, arent overly expensive, and are very up front with you about everything. They are doing things right. :)

I made an appointment to be seen at 12noon, a walk-in came in while I was waiting, they saw her BEFORE me because she needed a quick fix. So I was finally seen about an hour after my appt at 1pm. The piercer apologized for the wait but my piercing took the same amount of time as the walk-in so I feel like they should not have taken her before me. No discount offered, nothing. Other than that..its a clean place, the gems are a little pricey, theres one person piercing ...but I was happy with my look...but not the service.

They pierced my septum today. I liked that they let me pick the jewelry out and showed me what would work best with my nose type. The piercing itself went in smoothly And the male piercer did an excellent job! It didn’t even hurt :) the jewelry is also high quality which I love. I’d recommend them to anyone.

Alex is an A1, professional piercer. Hes very up front about the process, explaining thoroughly what hes doing. I got 4 ear piercings in one sitting, and he let me have a break whenever I needed. Everything was perfect, and healed beautifully. Also, unlike a lot of piercers, he uses top notch jewelry.

I have never felt more comfortable in a shop before, normally Im worried about the pain and the piercer rushes me and makes me feel like Im wasting their time. Not here, Michael was so patient with my piercing placement and kept my mind off the pain with great conversation. Ill be back, I highly recommend!

I would not personally recommend going here. A group of friend and myself went here before the shut down and 3 of the 5 of us had issues with the piercings themselves and I myself also had an issue with my jewelry as well.The owner doesn’t seem to have values with dealing with their employees either. And supporting a business ran by someone you feel is a good person to not only customers but employees as well, is so important.

I got a same day apointment to get my Nipples pierced , walk in and was greeted kindly, very friendly service and comfortable conversation, everything was sterilized very clean, washed hands twice and used gloves and wore mask, took his time to aline perfectly and make everything centered, let me know everything going on and very informational. I 100% recommend going for service, quality of pericing, cleanliness and functionality .

I wish I could give more stars! Alex is super friendly and makes the whole process easy and comfortable. He also comes up with very unique designs for jewelry. My daith still has the original piece he put in years ago and I don’t plan on taking it out (it’s the white opal piece posted in their pictures)!

I got my lip pierced by Alex yesterday and it was an amazing experience, I messaged him to ask questions I had and he answered them quickly and kindly. Walking into the shop it was absolutely spotless and inviting! During the piercing he walked me through everything he was doing even to what products he was using to clean up and disinfect my lip. It was very quick, but I didnt feel rushed and even when I asked for the spot of my peircing to be moved he said if u want me to change the spot im willing to move it a million times as long as its where you want it to be. Ive never had a better experience getting pierced. I will definitly be coming here for any future piercings!

This was by far the cleanest facility I have ever gotten a piercing at, very welcoming too which is kind of hard to come by with tattoo/piercing places. I’ve definitely found my new location for future piercings!!

Went to have my daith piercing changed today. The owner is very rude, condescending and argumentative. If you want to be verbally abused this is your place. Otherwise I would highly suggest going somewhere else.

I got my septum pierced from here they went through my cartilage It’s too far forwards and too high up I don’t remember the piercers name but he has long hair many tattoos please if you want your septum pierced I do not recommend going here I’m going to get it re pierced somewhere else

After two months, my ear still didn’t show any signs of healing, my bar was to small and I had to go somewhere else to have my bar switched. The price was way too expensive!!
