I definitely recommend Benchmark Tattoos. Eric O’Steen is an extremely talented artist, who was exceptionally easy to work with. He did a wonderful job with my tattoo, which included designing artwork, and surrounding/covering an existing 25 year old piece with two larger pieces. I can’t say enough good things about him and this shop.

Such a dope spot. All the artists that work there treat you like family immediately. Jahzel, who did my work, is an absolute beast at tattooing. The shop is amazing, very clean and relaxing. Will 100 percent be getting all my work done here. If you want an amazing tattoo this is the spot. Thank you to all the people who worked there you made my experience so worth it.

Absolutely awesome experience here with Brooke! I came to get my ears re-pierced after having them done 30-ish years ago with a piercing gun and always had problems. I was a little nervous that it would hurt.Fears for naught! It absolutely did not hurt at all, I barely felt anything. Brooke was an expert, very friendly and adept, counseled me on aftercare, and was all around excellent. She placed new flat-back studs and I couldnt be happier.Definitely recommend!

Worked with Zach on my first tattoo. He is an amazing artist and the tattoo came out beautifully. Highly recommend him. The shop is a great place and it seems like all of the artists are good friends which makes the environment friendly and comfortable.

If youre looking for a new tattoo artist, this place is where youre going to find him. Jon is an outstanding tattoo artist. We have been working on a full body suit for almost 4 years now and every session has been nothing but the best. I came to him with some simple ideas and he has turned it into an absolute masterpiece. Jon and Brooke have created a wonderful business for tattoos and piercings in the area, and I cant recommend them enough.

Jon is amazing to work with. I have two tattoos done by him ( about five sessions total) and every time I went I always have had a positive experience. He is professional but also welcoming as well as his wife. The place is clean and has good vibes which is something I look for in a shop. You can tell he really cares about his clients and worked with me to make sure my tattoos was placed on my body to suit my figure as well as deliver on the idea I had in mind. He also made sure I was comfortable as much as possible given that some parts were more painful. I have gotten so many compliments on both of his works. I can’t wait to go back to him for my next tattoo.

Jon is awesome at what he does. I was impressed with his portfolio so I knew he could get the job done well. He is very friendly but also very professional. The tattoo he did for me was nearly identical to what I wanted, if not better. My appointment was due for a 3:30 but he was able to get me in even sooner than that with time left to spare. This was my first ever tattoo and I have absolutely no regrets. The next tattoo I get done will be done at Benchmark Tattoos by Jon yet again. I highly recommend it.

This shop is beautiful! I own a shop in Gainesville, FL. (Pizzazz Piercing and Tattoo) Zach Young was the top black and gray artist in Gainesville. He an outstanding addition to Boston!I moved to Gainesville,FL in late 2019 from Lakeville, MA where my husband and I owned a shop. Im originality from Revere. We are sending all of our clients from Massachusetts here. Zach and the other artists are phenomenal. They will take great care of you!

He’s very up front and honest about what you want and what can be done (I had work over a large scar and he walked me thru best options). Totally professional and great artist! My son recently had his first tattoo done on his forearm and were very impressed with how it came out. I had an awesome experience. I was afraid I was being difficult when I was apprehensive about the initial size of the tattoo. Spencer was totally cool and assured me I wasnt difficult and sized the piece down. He gave me the most beautiful cover-up in a surprisingly quick amount of time. Also the banter between Spencer and Jon had me laughing the whole time and kept my mind off the pain. Thank you, Spencer, for my cover-up and making sure I was comfortable!

I scheduled an appointment with Benchmark at the end of February for a small tattoo. I had to cancel the appointment the day before because I unexpectedly got Covid from work (I am a healthcare worker) and was feeling unwell. I emailed and called them; the person on the phone told me I can reschedule. Ever since my recovery from Covid, I had called, emailed, and went in person to try to reschedule. I have gotten no response from email and phone, and was told by the receptionist that I would get a response soon…I did not.

My fiance and I wanted similar irezumi style back pieces and fell in love with Jons artwork. His style is exactly what we were looking for and him and his wife are some of the best people weve ever met. He worked with our timeframe incredibly well and we truly cannot recommend him enough.

Brooke was AMAZING. I was super nervous about getting a cartilage piercing, but she talked me through it and made the whole process easy and fun. Answered all my questions, and even managed to make me not feel dumb about it.Best of all, she helped make sure the piercings were just in the right spots for me, and they look phenomenal.
