Obsidian Tattoo and Piercing Parlor

Got my first tattoo done by Emily. Since it was my first one I was pretty nervous but Emily was easygoing, informative and kind. She definitely made the experience less intimidating. She also did an amazing job on my tattoo, gave me exactly what I wanted and more. She’s very talented in the work she does. The place was also nice, clean, and overall good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend going here!

I have been to this location a few times - for my initial nostril piercing and a few times following due to issues with healing. I would say the first few times were not great experiences. Depending on what staff is there, sometimes it’s a super awkward and tense atmosphere, and other times it’s pretty chill. I went in today to have my nose ring removed because I wasn’t happy with it but luckily I met a different piercer, Kayla. She was amazing, not only to me but other customers. She was friendly, welcoming, and very informative. Thankfully, instead of removing my jewelry, she was able to switch it out for something that would be more conducive to healing (I wish I had been told that originally). I would definitely recommend booking your piercings with her. I would give her 5 stars but the shop a 3, so overall a 4.

Went for a septum (me) and a rook (friend) and it was the best piercing experience Ive had so far. Dan did both and he was very efficient and knowledgeable. Super nice. He also made sure to check my anatomy to make sure I was compatible with a septum piercing so thats always a great thing to see. A+ will definitely be back for any piercing needs in the future!

This is a delayed review for sure, but Obsidian parlor is my new go to for anything piercing related. I have a few ear piercings that were refusing to heal from another establishment, and the folks at Obsidian set me up with new jewelry and aftercare advice that worked!! And looks great!! Looking forward to come back next time Im in town to hopefully get a tattoo, the atmosphere is great and it is a very clean facility with knowledgeable artists.

I would love to recommend this place. They are friendly and professional. I had my ears pierced by Andy Gehris and after going to other piercing parlors I can say that I see a major difference. When it comes to getting a piercing you want someone whos good. He is knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and it shows. Really hope this review helps other people to make a good choice.

Got a tongue piercing here, felt very welcome and easy going. Super nice staff and my piercing was done and paid for before it was even time for my appointment!

Been meaning to leave a review for quite some time but I kept forgetting to lol. Ive been coming here for about a year and some change now and I couldnt recommend this place more! The piercings are a tad pricey but its worth the money for a good quality piercing. I always get mine done by Andy and he does a great job everytime, like my rook he did 2 days ago. Ive only had one piercing done incorrectly and he was very sweet and re-pierced it for me free of charge. Hes super kind, patient, respectful, and hes very good at his job. (Not all the piercings in this photo were done at this studio. Also please ignore the small bump on my industrial lol.)

I just popped in here for a random walk in one day and loved it. Sick atmosphere and was treated great. Dealt with Josh who was a super mellow down to earth dude, and had the skills to back it up. His work was hella crisp. Already made an appointment to go back and looking forward to it.

Andy is the best piercer and the only person on Earth I would let do my piercings. He’s so kind, quick, and informative. I do not recommend Dan as he is kinda rude and jerky so always go to Andy for piercings and his wife Tasha for tattoos!( she’s also very kind and a good person to be around/doing your tattoos)

This is my second piercing with Andy. Last year I had a forward helix.Andy was awesome with doing both a forward helix and a daith piercing. We discussed different types of jewelry, care/aftercare, and placement of my second forward helix.He was so great with answering any questions I had and the follow up questions my husband had.Thank you Andy!

I highly recommend going to Obsidian. I recently finished a multiple session tattoo with Tasha. She is awesome! She made me feel comfortable and was fun to talk to every session. And the finished product is amazing. I definitely plan on booking with her again. And Andy is also great, he has helped me with obtaining the perfect jewelry for my piercings.

Best first impression of a parlor and very welcoming! I had gotten 5 ear piercings including conch, double forward helix and cartilage, and Andy is beyond amazing. He explained everything amazing for a beginner/ first timer and is BEYOND talented! Every single piercing was perfectly even on the dot and exactly what i asked for!! Andy as well as the place in general was very hygienic and all staff members were very sweet and non judgmental, i highly recommend!

I got my septum pierced by Andy and it was an amazing experience. It felt very welcoming and the front desk staff was super friendly and even showed me how a septum ring can be flipped up to hide it. Andy walked me through the whole process and made it feel very relaxing and comfortable. He answered all my questions, helped me decide which size ring would be best, and thoroughly explained how to handle the healing process. Overall, the shop was clean, staff were great, and the piercing went well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a piercing.

Their shop is paperless;scan the QR code and it takes you to the permission form to fill out. Andy was great with my teenagers piercings.

I’ve been considering a conch piercing for years, but I hesitated after my last cartilage piercing experience at another shop left a bad taste for me. Today, I finally overcame that and had an appointment with Dan, and it was fantastic! Dan was extremely friendly and professional, explained the various jewelry styles available, and did an amazing job calming my remaining nerves. The piercing itself was so quick and it looks beautiful! The shop is clean, comfortable, and is open and welcoming to patrons. I will definitely come back to Obsidian for future piercing appointments. Thank you again, Dan!

Luna was absolutely amazing! Fast responses on social media, she walked me through every step before it happened and made sure my experience was perfect! I’ve been coming here for about 6 years now and it is my favorite place to go, amazing staff who care and are there to help and not judge! She explained the process of healing and aftercare and made it super easy to understand! I’d recommend all of my friends and family to come here to get pierced!

Had my belly button and nose piercing done here a few years ago by Andy, both of which healed great! He was quick, knowledgeable, and professional about the whole situation. I would recommend him for your piercings!

My friend and I wanted to get our nose pierced. We were clueless on where to go. A friend of my friend gave a stellar recommendation on Andy at obsidian. 1st the shop is clean and organized. 2nd they were very welcoming. 3rd Andy was very helpful and knowledgeable and understanding about our worries. I have been tattood and pierced (×2) here. Great experiences all 3 times.

I had come in to get my snakebites (two lip piercings) done around last week. i initially scheduled with Andy, and was really pleased with the placement, how he had done the piercing, and so on. he was really professional, kind, and helpful.however, i came back on Tuesday due to needing both my bars upsized, as the flat backs in my lip were starting to embed. i started by calling (in a bit of a panic) and Dan had said it would be best to come in. i left work early and decided to drive out, as i did not want to risk my piercings embedding any further. once i came into the shop, Dan had told me he would look at them, but would not change them since he was not doing oral piercings at the moment. i understand preferring not to do certain piercings for a period of time, but i was really in need of just getting my bars upsized and calling it a day.after Dan further looked at them, he decided on changing them, which i was thankful for. i had felt like i was already putting him far out of his way and was met with a slightly condescending tone. i must note there were a couple things i did not follow with (and i appreciated him informing me of them) but there were other things that i felt he met with a rude attitude. he had also charged me $10 to change them, and i had tipped him as well since i felt bad for making him go through the hassle.i woke up the next day and noticed the one side of my lip was yet again starting to embed. after contemplating, i decided to safely remove the piercings. i discovered Dan had put TWO different sized bars in my lip...this is NOT helpful when BOTH piercings sites are swollen. i am not an expert piercer by any means, but i did not feel this was correct or the proper way to handle this. both bars should have ultimately been upsized (to the same size), and i feel like i should not have been met with the energy i had received.i know that i could have come back to have the other changed, but i really did not want to drive yet another half hour out, and also keep switching bars in and out of a piercing that was still very much healing. this is a piercing i wanted for a very long time, and i am disappointed with the outcome. i know there isnt really anything that can be done now as i decided to give up on them quickly, but, i would be wary if you are looking to come here for an oral piercing. make sure the bars are going to be long enough to accomodate for swelling, as well! it is hard to tell how much one person from the next is going to swell, but it is imperative that there is room for everything to heal.i would like to again thank Andy for his professionalism and his kindness when getting this done. the atmosphere of the parlor overall is nice, clean, and professional. however, i did not feel comfortable coming back with concerns-specifically to Dan.

Dan did a great job with my nose piercing and my fiancés ear piercing. Scheduling was super easy, and he got us in right away when we arrived. Very knowledgeable and confident guy, with a clean shop. Even though he was the only one in the shop he acknowledged every customer and handled it efficiently!

Biggest issue was that I wish they wouldve advertised the price of their lobe piercings, but I know thats subject to change based on the jewelery! Dan was super nice and gave really detailed instructions for aftercare. Also, they use flat backed jewelery for the lobes, so theyre comfortable and dont poke into your neck!

Andy always does a great job. He made me feel so comfortable. Its a super clean environment, and he made sure I was happy with the placement of my piercing. I would never go to anyone else. Five stars all day long.

Dan at the Emmaus shop was very caring, friendly and informative. I woke up with my monroe piercing gone and called Obsidian. Dan told me to come right in. He showed me multiple different types of jewelry. The 2.5mm purple opal I picked is perfect. He even took the time to put it in for me. The shop is extremely clean and sanitized, plus has great decor. I will be back soon to purchase a different color and may even get a new piercing.

I got my first tattoo today and I was very nervous and scared. Taylor was amazing and made my experience comfortable and enjoyable! She’s a great person to talk to while she’s working on your tattoo, and she emails you back and gives you advice if you have any questions. Would definitely recommend going here for a tattoo! I also got my nose pierced with Andy a couple years back and he was also amazing and did a fantastic job! Whether it’s a tattoo or a piercing, I recommend this place!

Had a closed up piercing re done by Andy & it was a great experience. Just enough small talk to make you comfortable & talked me through everything he was doing. I’ll definitely be returning for more in the future!

I went a few weeks ago to get my ear lobes repierced for the third time. Dan was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He talked me through the whole process, and what to expect throughout the healing process. He went in depth with aftercare which I definitely appreciated since I don’t remember why the previous two piercings didn’t work out since I was much younger. Dan was very personable and easy to talk to. He made sure I was ok with the placement of the piercings before getting started, and really involved me in the process. The shop seemed very cleanly, and everything was sterile and clean in the piercing room. As a bonus, they have gold earrings that are VERY cute and exactly what I was looking for. The gold earrings were a bit on the pricey side, but I didn’t mind making the investment for an earring that was gold, had a warranty, would last me a while and fit the image that I had wanted.I spent a few days searching shops and reading reviews for various piercers in the Lehigh valley, and I’m extremely happy with my decision to have used Obsidian!! I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to get pierced.

My experience from booking an appointment over the phone with Dan, to walking out the door after getting my nose pierced was great. It was busy & he was the only member there but he managed and gave everyone the attention & information they needed. He is very knowledgeable and honest, I definitely recommend him.

I was an observer , mom , taking my adult daughter for her birthday to re pierce her ears and let it be known that I don’t give out rave reviews unless they are fully warranted . First impressions upon walking in was it was clean and orderly, staff was polite and helpful. The actual piercing was great . He explained everything along with after care but it really was a lesson in “why did we ever go to the mall for this”. The process and the tools used and the safety and sterilization methods of a trained professional can’t be beat . The product purchased for the piercing has a life time guarantee. Yes you pay the price for having a professional do the job and top quality jewelry but aren’t you, your kids and loved ones worth it? Absolutely !

I will never go anywhere else for a piercing. Andy and Dan are top tier and super professional. The shop has a very warm and welcoming vibe and everyone working there is so friendly and helpful. When I’m ready for another tattoo, you better believe I’m going here for it. I trust the cleanliness and the knowledge and attention to detail of this team above any other shop I’ve been to.

Dude thats there on Sundays piercing by himself. So so rude. Hes arrogant and makes you feel like an inconvenience. Talked down to me the whole time he was dealing with me. Good jewelry selection tho. Pricey.

My daughter wanted her ears pierced forever but was literally terrified (she hates needles!!) I had Luna and she is so amazing! She did do both a ear and nose piercing for me and did an amazing job! She’s super knowledgeable and makes you feel so comfortable and was so helpful. She is very gentle and her placement is on point. She does a very good job explaining aftercare and everything as well. Definitely only coming here from now on and recommending everyone here. I got my ear pierced. I payed for the earring and the piercing. The owner told that the earring was under warranty. Two weeks later the stone from the earring fell off. I went to get a replacement. I was told the stone from the earring was not covered. They wanted to charge me 40 for a new earring. I would never recommend this business.

Luna was so great! I got quite an intimate piercing and she made me feel so comfortable and the appointment was so quick! An amazing appointment! I got three different piercings, Lobes, Philtrum/Medusa, and Navel/Belly, all in one visit pierced by Luna. She took her time and made sure I liked each placement. Got my first dermal piercing from Luna here a couple weeks ago. She was super friendly and sweet. The shop is nice and clean. My piercing barely hurt and the healing has been awesome! Will def be back for some more piercings!

I have been to Obsidian several times for piercings and all have healed properly and quickly. I cant say the same for piercings Ive had in the past from other shops. Both Andy and Luna are very professional and you can tell they are knowledgeable of their job and anatomy. They take their time to find proper placement and will be honest if they think something wont look right or heal correctly. The shop is kept extremely clean, yet still comfortable. They do their best to make you laugh when someone nervous like myself gets on the table. I used to be afraid to get piercings and now I find myself there frequently. Appointments are fairly easy to get as well...Hands down, best shop in the lehigh valley!!

I had stopped in around there closing time on a Tuesday of the week, i was very happy and surprised they would take me in considering how close we were to closing, the guy Dan, he was very sweet and respectful and he really helped lighten the mood for me, they had a whole bunch of different stones and other piercing options to choose from with a wide variety. He informed me after the piercing was finished about aftercare/cleaning, he made sure everything was up to date and that i was keeping it clean. I would go here again in a heartbeat!

Had a wonderful piercing experience, I got my tragus pierced and was nervous. Its been a couple weeks and my piercing is healing with no problem. They were patient with my selection and walking me through the process. Will definitely recommend and be back to look at tattoos!

Wow just Wow! I have nothing bad to say about this place!! I have been going there for about 7 years and Tasha does super amazing tattoo work!! She is phenomenal!! Super clean and I have always felt comfortable and SAFE getting a tattoo done at Obsidian!! The atmosphere is kind and welcoming!! Definitely would recommend!! I personally have recommended several friends and family members to go there for tattoos to be done by Tasha!! She is just great! I could write a book with how awesome Obsidian is!! Be weary of going for a walk in tattoo. Spent 300$ on a maybe 4 inch tattoo that needs to get reworked by my regular artist because the line work is shody, not straight and fading already. Artist was sociable and nice but definitely felt ripped out in the end which is disappointing and the reason I typically avoid shops and go for private studio. Mistakes on my end too for not asking for a price beforehand but wasn’t expecting that price tag with a tattoo that’s as big as a flash sheet tat. Live and learn!

Top notch in my book. Staff was super friendly, jovial, efficient and helpful. Took my 9 year old daughter for her first piercings, and the staff handled it beautifully. Jewelry is also top notch. Might be a bit foreign to those who havent gotten a piercing in a long while, but Im rough on jewelry and its holding up just fine 👍

I am constantly here getting my jewelry changed, and they always do such a great job. Everything is always sterilized and cleaned, and everyone here is so friendly. The only place i’ll go to get pierced.

I loved coming here. They are professional, precise and their jewelry is beautiful and of quality. I had my navel done here and it was quick and painless -they are talented. They also took the extra time to make sure the jewelry looked even and that I liked the positioning before we did it. 10/10 will come back for my next piercing.

I recently had my right nostril pierced by Andy. Ive had my left nostril pierced for over 10 years, and I wanted to go for the symmetrical look by adding a piercing to the other side. Andy was so patient with trying to get the piercing in the perfect position! He did not make me feel rushed, and we tweaked the location of the mark quite a few times before it felt right. The actual piercing was very quick, and I love the jewelry he used. He was very kind and helpful throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend getting pierced by Andy!

I went to Luna at obsidian for my second nose piercing and she was AMAZINGGGGG!! Very professional and she explained every step she was doing thoroughly, which was refreshing because the person who did my first nose piercing just told me count to three and did it, and that piercing ended up infected. My new piercing is healing perfectly, and they also provided me a big bottle of saline! I get my tattoos at obsidian as well and it’s just a great, clean shop all around. Everyone there is welcoming and friendly! I will always go to Luna and obsidian for my piercing/tattoo needs!

I had my septum pierced by Luna yesterday. The experience was genuinely fabulous. She was very knowledgeable, discussed jewelry options and explained the placement and process of the piercing. She was very professional and personable. I am even more thrilled with the piercing than I had hoped to be. Luna is awesome!

If you want any piercing this is the place to go. i drove about an hour and a half. i was scared to get my nose pierced but i had a lot of help on knowing what to do and Andy pierced my nose. he did an amazing job it was quick and i didn’t feel any pain. he explained everything very nicely. you can tell he knew what he was doing. and the front desk was a very nice lady. great business, i 100% recommend!

I have gone to Luna for new piercings and for changing out old jewelry and she is always wonderful to work with! she is extremely clean and explains exactly what she is doing so you are constantly aware during the whole process of what is going on. i will absolutely continue to go to her moving forward and always recommend her to friends and family!

My daughter and my wife had their piercings done here on the same day. Andy was referred to us by so many moms on fb. He was so patient with my daughter who needed to lay down to have her piercings and even more patient with my wife as she was very nervous and it took her awhile to relax. I had Luna do a rather sensitive piercing and she was amazing! She talked me through what she was doing and the piercings themselves came out perfect! Im on day 3 of having my piercings and my pain is very minimal and are starting to heal very nicely, Lunas definitely the go to!

I came in yesterday with my friend. I got my nipples pierced and she got her septum, industrial, and tragus pierced. We both went to Luna and she was amazing!! Very professional and VERY clean. She made me feel so comfortable on something I was uncomfortable about for a long time! I love my piercings and I recommend you go to her!!

Took my 4 year old daughter yesterday to get her ears pierced. Luna and Andy both were very helpful and gave me pricing before the piercing. My daughter smiled through the whole experience (no tears). Andy and Luna explained the process to her and pierced her ears together. They’re both great piercers, who have pierced me in the past, and obsidian is the only piercing parlor I will go to.

Super clean, friendly and patient. Three of us had an appointment for piercings and Andy explained the process of each piercing clearly. He gave us information for aftercare and also a great time and family memory. Definitely will go back for future piercings.

Andy has been my piercer since I was 16 - before obsidian was a thing and I made sure to find him when he opened obsidian. I would highly recommend Luna and Andy, they’re both highly skilled and knowledgeable piercers. Both respond very quickly on social media.Luna walked me through my nose piercing and reopened my VCH, originally done by Andy.My brother has also gotten all his piercings by Luna so far.20 out of 10 on the shop as whole.

I highly recommend Luna for your piercing needs! I saw her for some lobe piercings and went back shortly after for my daith. She is super friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Amazing shop! So laid back and easy! Just got my septum pierced by Andy, and he was incredible. He made sure to explain everything to me before beginning and made the whole experience as easy as possible. I got a little light headed while checking out, but he made sure I was okay before I left. I found Obsidian parlor one day scrolling thru instagram, and found Luna’s work & Im so glad I went to her for my septum piercing!! She is so knowledgeable and walks you through the whole process. Quick and nearly painless! The shop seemed to be down a few team members that day and it was BUSY. Luna was the only piercer there and she kept her cool managing lots of patrons! I will absolutely be back for more piercings in the future! :)

I literally will not go anywhere else for piercings. The piercing apprentice at the front is super friendly & helpful. Andy is the best piercer Ive personally been to, from here to LA. Never had one complaint. Such a nice guy, super humble. His dermal game is so on point. I have a face dermal (10yrs strong) and one on my chest (4yrs strong) - and if uve had dermals u know theyre prone to rejection but I never had an issue - both were done by Andy. He just did my vampire bites (neck dermals) and they look sooo amazing! Im very pleased with the results (hopefully theyll take to my skin as well as my others) The shop didnt have the red color gem I wanted for my neck dermals when I first came in, but they ordered them for me & called as soon as they arrived - well worth the wait! Thanks guys 😀

Got a cartilage piercing done here as a walk in and Andy was great. Very informative and they offer several jewelry options. After piercing I got a card detailing the size of jewelry used, which I thought was helpful. Great spot!

I now have three piercings done by Luna and all I can say is wow. She is so good at her job. She really takes the fear and pain away from piercing. She pierces so quick you won’t even know it happened. I’m always scared of getting piercings bc I think they’re going to hurt terribly. But Luna is so efficient you barely feel the pain. I got my septum done but her and just got my conch and daith done to start my ear curation and I honestly can’t wait to go back! Book with her now!

I got my daith and tragus done on each side from Luna ! I absolutely adore her ! She’s knowledgeable and very friendly ☺️ The piercings were quick and painless! She has good recommendations on jewelry too which I enjoy.

Took my 12 year old who is frightened of needles to get her ears pierced. Once Andy thoughtfully explained why a needle piercing is more sanitary and actually less painful, her nerves settled and she went forward with the piercings. He talked her through each step, even telling her there would be a crunching sound when placing the back and front pieces together. He took his time and has a nice calming demeanor and voice! A wonderful experience!

I dont normally write reviews for places, but ive had two piercings done at obsidian and both times ive had a really great experiences. i got my septum done ~2 weeks ago, and i got my snakebites done today. both times they got me in before my scheduled appointment time. their piercer, andy, is great, and everything was sanitized prior to piercings being done. definitely worth the price & id love to come back for tattoos at some point in the future.

I went to Obsidian when I had a problem with a recent piercing that was done at a different shop.The person that originally done it put a ring in that was too small. Luckily Andy was able to help me. Now I have a pain free happy piercing. He was very nice and careful not to cause any unnecessary discomfort when changing out the ring. I will definitely go back for any future piercings and possibly a new tattoo. Thank you Andy!

Hands down the best piercing shop in the Lehigh Valley. They use high quality jewelry (implant grade titanium & threadless/internally threaded is a MUST!!) Ive tried other places and something has always been slightly off. Go get pierced by Luna!

Very relaxed place. Its got that whole metal vibe with a bit of a modern, friendlier appeal and a super nice staff. I brought my wife here to get ears pierced or more accurately a Daith piercing. They follow safe practices and have sterile procedures to ensure you the customer is safe. We are very happy with the results. So far so good. The main purpose of the piercing was in hopes of curbing the migraines my wife was having. Looks promising as its almost been a month so far and nothing beyond an hour long headache.

Could not recommend Obsidian more. Super clean shop, lots of jewelry variety for piercings, everyone is super nice and incredibly professional. Ive never had anything but stellar experiences there. If you want piercings, here is the place to go, and the tattoo artists are fantastic too.

I was an observer; I accompanied my friend for a septum piercing, and it was an absolute nightmare! The procedure was prolonged, the piercer seemed incapable in managing the situation and my friends extreme pain was very difficult to bear; I almost fainted.

Incredibly clean studio.Sterilized before and after the station. I accidentally put my hoodie down to tip after the piercing, and they wiped everything down again.

It was very clean and they were very professional. i got both of sides of my nose pierced and others i was with got other piercings and there was no problems at all.

This shop is super clean and has a nice atmosphere! Andy pierced my daith today and made the experience great he told me what to expect and made me less anxious. He also was super quick about it and the pain was minimal because of that. Oh and it looks great!

Went in for a tattoo. The artist I had said he’d been tattooing for almost 10years. Pretty sure he was lying. The artist redid some tribal stuff on my chest for me and gave me a nasty infection. When I confronted the artist about it he just basically laughed and said oh well, not my problem. There are so many better tattoo shops out there. Not worth the time or money. Then their piercer(Andy) decided to make a piercing he was doing on a girl hurt by not using Vaseline on the piercing needle because he didn’t like the way she was talking to her mom. Disappointing experience all around!

Clean, friendly staff, just went back to get my septum re-pierced and Andy was upfront with me and said that the hole was still there so he didnt charge me for the piercing, just the jewelry. Cant beat an honest businessman. Would recommend this place for a piercing for sure!

Andy Gheris, in my opinion, is the best piercer in the Lehigh Valley. He is incredibly talented and makes it a priority that you are happy with your experience! This is where my daughter gets all her piercings. Very clean shop with friendly staff. The shop was busy on our last visit but we still got seen at our appointment time and the piercer didnt make her feel rushed when marking the spots to be pierced even though he had more appointments and walk ins waiting. We will be visiting again.
