This is one of the best tattoo shops around. The staff is the best. The shop is nice, clean, and well run. The owner is amazing. He really knows his craft and takes the time to make sure you know every thing you need to know for home care of your tattoos or piercings. Just an amazing, talented group of artists.

I recently had my helix pierced and it was amazing! Shaun does a amazing job at piercing. I been to many shops looking for the right person, and I finally found a place that is clean, caring, informative, responsible and friendly. I have many piercings and the one Shaun pierced is healing fast and nicely!He walks you through everything and makes sure your okay with the placement and he makes sure you understand how to take care of the piercing. He takes his time and he provides you with a recommended date for a check up.Make sure you call to make a appointment because they get booked up fast.

Shaun was professional and educated me every step of the way for my tragus repiercing. He was careful, honest, and took his time. He also discussed aftercare. The atmosphere is lovely. I was impressed with the shop and the service.

Shaun was really knowledgeable and super friendly. In my excitement, I forgot to tip for my septum piercing but I got you at my four week check up! You did a great job and I’m very satisfied. I’ve been pierced by people before that didn’t take the time to explain anything, and I actually got things done that I wouldn’t have wanted because I didn’t realize they were semi permanent. Clean, courteous, and comfortable . I’ve previously been weary of tattoo parlors for their overstimulating aesthetics, both in decor and music. Walking into Satori for the first time felt like a comfortable choice. I was shortly paired up with the Artist, Erica, whom I’m confident was the right fit for me. I had an amazing experience getting my nose pierced. Shaun is excellent, professional, knowledgable, and gave me detailed instructions of how to care for my piercing. I felt very cared for and Ive never had a piercing that has healed so well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend!

Just had a tattoo done here by Shaun. He came highly recommended by a few of my friends/family and I can see why. He did an amazing job and the flower I got has amazing detail and looks very realistic which is what I was looking for. You can tell he cares deeply about the artwork he does and the aftercare of the tattoo. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get a tattoo.

Love this place... Shaun has been tattooing me for about 9 years, so of course when I found out he was opening his own shop, of course I was going to follow him. He has not disappointed. Lauren has also tattooed me and I am also very happy with the work she has done on me. The artists and supporting staff are both friendly and professional. The shop is clean and comfortable. What is more important is that I am very happy with the work that is done on my body. Cant wait for my next appointment to get my grandmothers portrait :)

I went here to get my Septum pierced. When I tell you I have never been more comfortable getting a piercing done by someone before its the truth! I got pierced by the amazing Shaun, he was so informative about my piercing and how to properly take care of it. He was super kind, funny, and the made the whole process ten times more enjoyable. There was a girl there in training who also followed along with the process Rachel, she was so kind and made the experience even better! Such a great, clean, business and will gladly be coming back to them for future services as well as recommending then to people.

Shaun was an AMAZING piercer! He went so fast it was just a quick pinch. He gave me jewelry based on my anatomy and I loved chatting with him in general. Also he was really knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. Definitely get pierced here! You wont regret it 😊

Shaun and Rachel are absolutely AMAZING!! I had my nose pierced at another place, (never again) and was having problems with the jewelry and how it was healing. They were able to take a look at it and replace my jewelry with a high quality cute stud that should hopefully fix my issue!! They scheduled me for checkups and gave great advice for aftercare. I am so so so grateful for them and will recommend to everyone I know!!Thank you both again!!!!!

Best piercing experience! Shaun spent a lot of time making sure I understood the aftercare and he was the perfect combination of professional and personable. I felt completely comfortable. I would 100% go back for any future piercings!

Ignore the bad review by Joe Castenelli! Ive had 3 tattoos done by Shaun and they are all amazing! Im constantly getting compliments on them! He is definitely a fantastic artist and a true professional in his work. My first time at Satori Ink was for my very first tattoo ever and Shaun was very patient with me and made me feel comfortable. Even more important, the facilities are always very clean and everyone uses the proper protective equipment and sterilization techniques. I know Shaun is trained on Blood borne pathogens and always takes the proper pre-cautions.My only complaint is that Shaun does have quite a waiting list.. which isnt surprising for an artist of his caliber. Its a small price to pay but the waiting and anticipation definitely suck! But Shaun has always been worth it. I dont have experience with his other staff and Im thinking of trying Lauren for my smaller pieces, but for the big, detailed ones I will always be willing to wait for Shaun :)

Fantastic experience with my 7 year olds ear lobe. Shawn is awesome with kids! His shop is extremely clean and dare I say fancy. I am super happy my wife convinced us to go to a true professional. The holes are perfectly centered and clean cut. The earrings are so pretty and best of all they have no sharp ends - completely flush.

I took my 17 y/o daughter to get her nose pierced by Shaun. He was fantastic! Lectured her on the after care, made sure she understood the importance of it, and was awesome to deal with. He also took a lot of time with placing the piercing just right. Shop is immaculate and professional. I would highly recommend Satori for piercings.

Thé are really professional and respect perfectly what you want.But I’m disappointed on the result of my tattoo at the end is not looking like it was supposed to the line are not all full and they are not the same for a tattoo who supposed to look the same on all the line.The draw on the paper was perfect but the result on the skin not at all.

Shaun was very professional and clearly knows what hes talking about with piercings! He took the time to sit down and clearly explain the cleaning, healing and piercing process with us and answer all of our questions. Shaun is the MAN. He did some really nice work... no one can do concentric circles like this guy! I wanted a bullseye tattoo to mark the spot where I used to get chemo, and HE MADE IT HAPPEN. I have had Shaun ink me 9 times, all Egyptian art designed personally for me. EVERYONE who has seen my tattoos marvel at his fine, steady lines and excellent, vibrant colors. I have recommend him to others of which ever one was more than satisfied. One if my friends is so impressed he is having his shabby work (ridiculously expensive) from Manayunk covered and...Shaun had designed a sleeve for him, to be started in 2 weeks. KEEP UP THE FINE WORK...you are an artist and extremely professional.

Last year I got my top lip pierced for the first time. The people there are very nice every time I went there. Since it was my first piercing ever, the guy that pierced my lip for me understood that and tried to help me relax. Now I want a tattoo and strongly considering to go back to them for one. I strongly recommend this tattoo/piercing parlor to anyone who wants a clean, sanatized piercing with helpful caring about their customer service. Also they have great hours as well. First time customers you will be pleased.

Was overcharged a lot for a small cross tattoo that would have been 50 anywhere else, not 150. Ive had better work done at another place, and more, for less. Dont reccomend the girl tattoo artist Erica there. Also e-mailed pictures ahead of time of other work I originally wanted done since they gave me the e-mail to do so. I e-mailed a couple times and never got a response. Then when I got to the appointment she took about 2 hours just to draw a few words I already brought the final picture of that I wanted..and simplified it on top of it, which I then ended up not liking at all because it looked so different and terrible, like any kid could have done. Thats why I just chose a small cross then on the back of my neck. But she also wasnt friendly at all and didnt even tell me anything regarding cleaning it or putting lotion or aquaphor or anything on it.. barely said a word to me so I would have never known if it was my first tattoo.Im sure the other artists there are great though. I know Sean is because years ago I had something done by him at another shop and I was really happy with it and still am ten years later.

I walked in for my first tattoo with not more then just an idea and a bunch of pictures to describe what i was looking for. Somehow shaun managed to understand what i wanted and cam up with such an awsome tattoo. I left it up to him to design it i told him i trusted him to come up with what i wanted. Well at the end he included everything i asked for. And he was awsome entertaining me during the whole session. Great art, great service, great tattoos. I love this place

I have to side with Joe on this one. I was looking to get my first tattoo and after reading the reviews about this place I was excited to give it a shot. After I walked into the shop I can see an artist in the back. He looks up at me and then blatantly ignores me while I stand at the counter for an unbelievable amount of time waiting to speak to someone. Eventually I leave after waiting for an eternity. When I call to voice my displeasure with their service, I immediately get hung up on! Terrible first impression for a first timer. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

I got my nose repierced today by Zach. He was amazing.He made me feel secure, cared for. He wasnt afraid to give suggestions which not only opened my eyes to possibilities I hadnt thought of that are now baking my noodle!The only problem I can think of is that now Im thinking of more piercings.

Amazing experience. Just got a piercing there today. Satori ink excels in customer service. I’ve been to parlors where they get you in, and out, and get their money. I was taken care for and giving all the information I needed to know to have a healthy piercing. 20/10!!!!!!

Let me start this off with the fact that I have lived anywhere from Texas to Cali to Washington to PA. I was in PA for a work assignment when I started itching for some inkwork. I first walked in to Mad Tatters and spoke with Matt who started to draw up my idea. He couldnt quite get it the way I wanted, and basically gave up after 15 minutes. He said they he guessed he wasnt in the drawing mood. So I left, and went straight to Satori Ink, where they were booked full for the day but found a spot for me to come back later. After personally attending to my idea and letting me help design the tattoo i wanted ( a doe) Mr E slapped it on my arm! I was very impressed with the Front Desk gal who chatted me up and shared pictures of her adorable puppy, while i waited (Which is understandable because I was a walk-in on a full day). Mr E is a great artist and gave me exactly what I wanted. He is very sweet and Sean was singing in the background and making my time even more enjoyable! I give this place 5 stars because they totally deserve it all aspects!XOXO guys!

That one star review is bullshit. Ive been many places and this is the friendliest and most talented group of artists. Ive been going for over a year now. Probably another tattoo artist trying to cost them some business. Dont believe me? Drop in and say hi. Theyll be happy to help.

Unfortunately I have to give Satori Ink 1 Star for my recent experience. I got a tattoo on Sunday April 22, 2018 and I’m very unhappy with the quality of the work.There are two problems with this tattoo. The first problem is the thickness/darkness of the lines are different in both words. As you can see in the photo the word FADE is darker and thicker than the word IN. If this was written on a computer you might say the word FADE appears to be written in Bold, while IN isn’t. The second problem is that the word IN also appears to be sloppy and looks more rushed. I posted a side by side close up of the letter F and the letters IN to show what I mean (I circled and drew arrows for problem areas). The serif line on the bottom of the F is the proper size, while the serif lines on the N are both too small and not straight. The bottom right corner of the N is also sloppily done and finished with the wrong angle, as well as having a slightly curved line on the right vertical line. Finally there are some spots on both the I and the N where there appears to be tiny gaps in the line.I noticed these problems not long after I left the shop on Sunday, but wanted to give it some time for the initial redness to go down so I could see all the lines better, as not to rush to judgement. It looked the same on Monday, and I finally decided to contact the shop on Tuesday. Shaun responded by email on Wednesday, telling me that they could not offer a free touchup on this mistake, and then said that I would have to pay $60 to come back in to have it fixed. He also offered another option to have it worked on for free IF I came back in to get another tattoo from them at the same time.I know that the policy for free touchups varies from place to place, a lot of artists offer them, but a lot don’t. That’s fine, but any shop (or any business, tattoo or other) that doesn’t stand by their work DAYS after, doesn’t deserve the business or reputation that Satori has. This is not a case of someone who didn’t take care of their tattoo coming back a year later asking for a handout. This also isn’t a problem case like unexpected blowouts due to problem skin or anything like that. It’s simply a rushed mistake. Charging someone to fix a mistake that THEY made is both unprofessional and a sign of an artist/business who doesn’t care about the quality their work.At the end of the day this experience will have little impact on my own life. The tattoo is small, the mistake is fixable, I will eventually get it fixed by someone else, and life will go on. Problems like this hurt the business far more than the consumer. I have already been told by three friends who were planning on going to Satori for new ink, that they will be looking elsewhere now. I was also planning on getting at least one more tattoo there this summer but will not be returning. Another friend that has gotten ink there in the past, multiple times, is now unsure if he will go back.My tiny six letter tattoo cost $80 (shop minimum) + $20 tip. Fixing it would’ve taken minutes. The decision to charge to fix their own mistake cost them AT LEAST $320 in new business (probably closer to $800-$1000, considering these other tattoos wouldn’t be small enough for shop minimum), but more importantly it cost them repeat business from multiple people for years to come. I will never understand the way that some people choose to do business. Oh well...

The bad review by Joe Castenelli is complete bs. Shaun is an amazing artist and only speaks truth when asked for his opinion. Joe was just butt hurt. To anybody reading these just look at all the other reviews. Shaun your an amazing guy and your work is unlike any other. There is a reason why your the best around.

I got my first tattoo here and it wont be my last. You can tell that they all genuinely care about all the work that they do. Also very friendly which helped calmed the nerves of getting a first tattoo

Very poor scheduling skills, terrible customer service skills, and ludicrously expensive. For all the bad that comes with the piercing, which is the ONLY thing I can praise, it is SO not worth it the wait (I even had to have a scheduled appointment, in which I was informed was to alleviate the wait) nor the price.

My artist was Shaun, it was a comfortable environment. My 1st tattoo in about 5 years, and I will definitely be a returning client.

Love the artists there. Been here twice for tattoos and both times they were very friendly and Shaun is also a great artist. Thank you guys very much.
