Legendary Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery PLLC

It has been over a year since I got a tattoo here. It was my very first tattoo, so I had no idea if how I was treated was appropriate and it very much was not. I will not name my artist but she was reccomended to me when I said I wanted a cartoon styled tattoo, something cutesy and they said she would be the best in the area. She asked for my reference drawings 3 weeks in advance and I placed a 100$ deposit on the tattoo. The tattoo date came, I was the first appointment of the day and showed up before any of the staff, when the doors opened I was sat in a waiting area for an additional 25 minutes (I had only been 15 minutes early), because she was still sketching the tattoo, and needed my reference photos again despite them being on facebook messenger. When I was sat down, she had “rules” which is fine, but seeing as it was my first tattoo they seemed extremely rude. “No crying”, “this isn’t like a scratch”, “I don’t want you shaking or trembling”, “if you can’t handle it leave now”, etc. She also made several comments about the piercing shop I’m a regular at and talked very poorly about their shop which was a little unprofessional to me. The tattoo itself wasn’t bad, it looked neat aside from the couple blowouts, then half way through she took an hour lunch break. Again, this was my first tattoo ans ot was a big color piece, and she just disappeared for an hour. When my adrenaline wore off from the initial tattooing she continued on, and because I hit that wall I asked to stop, but she kept going and said she was “almost done”, but that meant another hour of shading. I had asked several times to stop and she said no, that she wouldn’t book me for a follow up appointment. When I was finally done I went to pay, I was quoted 300$, which is what I brought and expected the 100$ deposit to come off as well. But then when I went to pay they said it was 450$ WITHOUT the deposit because it was 550$ since it took an extra hour..which would have been her HOUR lunch break since I was only supposed to be there for 3 hours not 4. Now that I have a few more pieces by various artists I know that this was not the way I should have been treated. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because of the cleanliness and the apprentice was a sweetheart to talk to. Had it not been for the apprentice it would have been 1-2 stars.

These artists are phenomenal, the owners are so kind, and everyone who works there is super cool 😎 I highly recommend them.Update: my dad and I had another appointment yesterday with Zsolt and absolutely love it! This shop is still the best in town 🖤

Owner Tara was incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful toward me when denying me a refund of my deposit for an appointment she cancelled when she kicked my artist out of the shop on the day of my appointment. I had gone in a few days later when told to pick up my deposit. Tara told me I was wrong about what I was told. I respectfully told her that I wanted to follow my artist and had been told three different answers (one from receptionist, 2 from Tara) Tara told me she didnt say things that she had just said. When I asked the receptionist to confirm the inconsistencies and Tara lying, she awkwardly said Tara was her stepmom and babysits for her so she has her hands tied. Tara was almost yelling when saying I need to leave her shop if I wont switch to a different artist in order to use my deposit. She said I can ask for my deposit again the next day. Such an innapropiate and disturbing experience!

I just got the best tattoo of my life just now from Jay. He pays such attention to details and he did an incredible job. Everytime I look at my tattoo I see something new. He really brought this piece to life. I am from Tennessee and I will be coming all the way out here to get another one done by him in the future. Everyone is super nice at the shop and it is very clean. I I cant explain how happy I am with the work they did

Tess did a great job covering up someone else’s work. She understood what I was looking for and did a great job making it happen.Will be back for more.Would recommend

Used my son who lives in Sheridan, Wy as a go between because I live in Virginia and me and the wife were going out to visit and get a special tat. Was nervous at first because the artist drew up the design based on pics of ideas I had without much more of my input. Well, after some quick adjustments I asked for, she nailed it! Wish I didn’t live so far away because I would definitely be back. Never used the second skin before also, and it worked great for helping it heal well.

Jason is hands down the best tattoo artist Ive ever had do work on me. I had a very difficult cover up needed and he blew it out the park. AMAZING.

I followed Frenchy over to this place, and at first was a little hesitant because you never know how a new place is going to be, but I freaking love this place! Everytime I walk in, Im greeted with a smile by Tara. Frenchy has continued with growing in his work, and I am looking at getting a bigger piece done. This place is definitely my go-to place!

Fantastic clean shop with great people running it. Jay did a phenomenal job on my KeyMark, super light hand with the gun. I cant wait to see this piece healed in a few weeks and cant recommend this studio enough.

Erik and everyone else is nice and friendly. I highly recommend here for a tattoo. I will be going back!!!

Honestly couldnt have asked for a better experience.Im going to start this off with stating that Im a Diabetic. No issues. They even gave me a cup of gummy bears for the session. I was in the chair for 4 hours.Saw Tess for some pretty complicated work. Its beautiful work! She is a super talented tatto artist. I was impressed with the entire atmosphere of Legendary Tattoo and the people working there.10/10 excited to go again! Would definitely recommend.

I loved my experience here. My artist talked about her personal connection with my tattoo and that was very comforting for me. Everyone treated me with respect and was actually friendly (not the typical atmosphere of a tattoo shop in some of my past experiences). My goal is to get in from every artist at Legendary. One down!

My 16yo daughter paid for a deposit to get a tattoo. She used her own money that she worked hard for. On the day of the scheduled tattoo she called to cancel since our family tested positive for covid 19 that morning. They told her they were keeping her deposit and she would need to pay another $50. Even though they told her in the beginning that her deposit could be transferred iver if anything came up and she had to reschedule. She was so crushed. Im shocked to see a place treat a young girl so unfairly. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Awful customer service.

Heard of Jay from a friend and booked an appointment. Went in with a ton of ideas showed him what I had and kind of where I wanted them. He suggested his ideas and came out with a masterpiece! I couldn’t be any happier! The price reflects the work! I will be back for another! Can I say that the shop is amazing!!! Very well done Legendary!!!

My friends and I were on a road trip and decided to get small matching tattoos. Daniel was awesome! He was able to squeeze us in same day. He did an amazing job, was super friendly and hilarious too! If I ever find myself in Billings again, I know where Im going.

Danny Clave is amazing. I am a 55 y/o woman and finally got my FIRST tattoo. I was very nervous until I met Danny. His calmness soothed me. He did a mother daughter tattoo for myself and my 2 daughters. His hand was very light. His personality is fantastic. Now when I want it added to, I will have to come back to Montana. Or go see his brother in Portland. Unless Danny comes to Oregon for a visit. I highly recommend him. He is AWESOME. THANK YOU Danny.

Setting an appointment was easy enough, even though I don’t have Facebook (how they typically make appointments). Now I’m gawking at the fantastic piece done by Jay; he has far exceeded my expectations! It was well worth the 2 month wait! Thanks Jay!!

Daniel has done all three of my tattoos and the detail and effort he puts into them are amazing! Not to mention he makes sure I am comfortable and not in anyway shape or form in pain (as I am 18😂) 10/10 would recommend them!

Outstanding! Best looking parlor I have ever been in. I recently moved to town so was wary about finding a new place to get some ink. Doubts were put to rest in a short time of being there. Would recommend to anyone wanting something simple or complex.

Fred is a true artist. He will take a picture or a image that you describe and give your tattoo life. I love my 8 tattoos!! I highly recommend him to create your next piece of art.

I had Noah Riley for a walk-in and he was absolutely amazing, he works very quickly but I never felt like the tattoo was being rushed. Would 100% like to come back for my next one.

Daniel was amazing. I was very nervous going in for a memorial tattoo, however, he was gentle, kind and answered all my questions. It looks great and I love it.

We just went in to see if they did certain types of tattoos and when Michael saw what we wanted, he stayed late and did our mother/daughter tattoos. He did an amazing job on them.
