Love this place! When I was looking into getting my ears pierced, I was immediately recommended them. I mentioned the place to my mom and it turns out that Owen actually did my moms navel back in 1999. She didnt keep that piercing for her own reasons, but she did say he still did a really good job.I actually had Grey do all of my ear piercings so far and I still love the results. The friend who recommended them to me also goes to Grey for all their piercings.Jewelry is also of great quality. Implant-grade titanium if youre going for the ears. Not sure what other metals they offer, but a lot of their stuff is on display and is also decently affordable for their great quality. Yesterday I was even told they have a free rewards program now, and for every $100 you spend on jewelry you get a discount. Cute piercing studio tucked inside the Harvard Square food court (mall?) on the second floor. Grey did my piercing and they were very knowledgeable about piercing, and talked me through every step of the process so that there were no surprises. So far the piercing is healing better than ones I’ve had done in the past at tattoo parlors, I’d definitely recommend coming here. Grey wore gloves, and sanitized everything between clients. The prices are on par with other shops I looked at, though as mentioned on the website, the earring itself costs extra. I was worried I’d need to know the exact placement of the earring in advance, but luckily you only need a general idea of what design you want and Grey will help you choose the optimal placement for your ear.

Wow, what a great experience from start to finish! We called ahead for a birthday ear piercing with Owen when his books opened and were able to get an appointment the same week!We got a call the night before reminding us about IDs and to fill out the paperwork online and to confirm our appointment, super helpful juggling a busy house.Our appointment was easy! Our little kid was able to pick out some beautiful jewelry that is high quality and meant for the healing process. Owen was awesome: he walked our kid through every step of the way and always asked how she was feeling, and if she wanted to continue. He has his room full of googly eye decorations to make equipment feel more approachable for children. Hes very patient and kind with a young client, an admittedly nervous parent, and a young and inquisitive little sister audience.Compared to my experience as a kid getting my ears pierced at a kiosk with a piercing gun to the gentle and empowering session with Owen, there isnt one: the service was all about my childs comfort and it was entirely her decision to complete the process, giving her full control and autonomy. We came and left all smiles.

Owen and his staff have pierced both my daughters for their first ear piercings and we went back to get my oldest daughter (11yr) and myself for our second and third piercings respectively. He was so informative and patient with both of my girls, my oldest was so excited to go back and get her second piercing done. I decided to get my ears pierced with my daughter as a sign of support and we could heal and buy jewelry together. When I called to schedule our piercings, the staff was so helpful and clear with expectations. I received a call a day before to confirm our appointment and additional details for when we arrived. When we got there, everyone was so nice, helpful and professional. Owen is passionat about what he does and has a clear mission with his work. He cares about his clients, is very knowledgeable, and is generous enough to share that knowledge with others. Highly recommend him for children piercings and mother/daughter appointments! I had a most mundane piercing, just one ear. Still Grey treated me with the greatest respect and kindness. I can not recommend them strongly enough.

Worked with Grey, went to have my ears repierced. Super professional, friendly, and welcoming, they explained every little step including the sterilization, and made it all very comfortable. My ears turned out to be still pretty open, but they still helped me get new jewelry in and gave me advice on how to more easily put my own jewelry in, plus I got a bit of a refund since it wasnt a full piercing. 10/10 when I want to get a real piercing again Ill definitely go back.

I recently had my helix pierced by Grey, and I could not asked for a better experience. It was my first cartilage piercing and I have read a lot about the difficult healing process. So I was pretty nervous when I walked in. However, Grey made the entire process incredibly easy and comfortable for me.They took the time to triple-check the location with me and provided helpful suggestions. During the piercing itself, Grey was gentle and super skilled, making the entire procedure quick and painless. They guided me to breathe with them and within one second, it was done. It was just a mere tiny pinch that I would not even call it pain.Afterwards, Grey thoroughly explained the aftercare instructions and patiently answered all my questions. Now, a few days post-piercing, I can not be happier with the results. My helix piercing looks so pretty and is healing smoothly without pain, redness, or swelling. All I am doing is following Greys advice - not touching it, and applying saline solution spray 1-2 times daily.I highly recommend Grey and True Love Body Piercing to anyone considering a cartilage piercing! Plus, a helpful tip - there is free parking available on Mount Auburn St by the river, only a short 10-min walk from their studio.

Getting my jewelry changed with Grey was a great experience! They cleaned tools and jewelry to the highest standard, were very communicative about each step of the process, and were very knowledgeable with recommendations for each of my piercings.I felt heard and guided as a customer, never rushed or pressured into anything! I had the BEST experience at true love! I got my nose pierced and it was my first piercing in over 20 years. Grey was my piercer and they were so informative and friendly during the whole process. The staff at the front counter were equally as kind and helpful with my multitude of questions! I recently got my septum pierced by Owen and my experience far exceeded my expectations. I felt supported every step of the way. The front staff members were inviting and friendly, which further put me at ease. (This was my first body piercing as an adult.) Owen was very kind, honest and present with with me throughout the entire process, guiding me to practice deep breathing in preparation for the piercing (this is something I really appreciated :-)) and explained everything before and throughout the process. This was my first time getting pierced so I wasnt sure what to expect. Everyone was so chill and put me at ease as soon as I arrived. Grey was really helpful, respectful and explained things well. Im super impressed at how absolutely symmetrical they got the piercings to look on my ears. If I decide to get more I will definitely return.

True love body piercing is amazing! I have gotten multiple piercings from Grey and their work is incredible. They have a light and quick touch and super professional attitude. Nostril piercing had a minor complication while healing and they helped me with many visits, emails, and checkins to make sure that it healed properly - attention to details was amazing. Also had Grey do a consult on piercings I was thinking of adding to my ears and their advice and thought behind their design plan was perfect. Even helped me come up with a timeline plan to make sure everything healed properly before moving on to the next step. Highly recommend Grey for any piercing needs!!

Such a welcoming environment! The staff at the front helped me choose out my jewelry easily. Grey explained every detail about what they were doing leading up to the piercing, and made sure that I was okay and comfortable every step of the way. BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I was getting my other tragus done and was preparing for it to be painful, but Grey is such a good piercer I barely felt anything. People there are really passionate about what they do

This place is actually insane and i left in tears. didn’t realize it was $65 for one ear (which is completely outrageous). and the cheapest jewelry they offered was $50!!! they said $25 for the front and $25 for the back, and i’ve never experienced a place that charges for the “back” of an earring. once i heard that was the cheapest jewelry and that they don’t offer just a plain cheap one, i decided i no longer wanted to follow through with it because $100+ for one ear piercing is insane. But wait, you can’t get money back if you cancel too close to your appointment, so i had no choice but to go through with it and spend $100 for one ear. should say something online about the prices of jewelry so that you don’t think you’re paying a cheap $5 or $10 jewelry fee when they’re charging you for the front and back (still don’t even know what that means??). The single ear was my own fault, but I naturally assumed it wouldn’t cost $60 for ONE simple hole in the ear. never going back again.

I was positively overwhelmed with my piercing experience here. From booking to piercing, I felt taken care of during the whole process. I would recommend this establishment to people looking for both professional and empathetic piercers

My first time getting pierced here. Got my Dahlias done with Owen. The whole team that I met was super professional and kind. Owen misjudged the aim of the first piercing and immediately admitted it and apologized. Took it out, remeasured, checked in with me, and re-pierced. Incredible. This is what you want, guys. You dont wanna go home with a crooked piercing and bad healing. Mistakes will happen and always have happened, and it takes balls to admit and fix them, especially in a service industry. He continually checked in with me and gave me all of the healing info (while acknowledging Ive already healed oral piercings). Overall experience 11/10. Tip these folks well, theyre doing the business right.

I just wanted to share how great our experience was getting our daughters ear piercing with Owen. His attention to detail and his rapport and demeanor with families is truly what sets Owen apart. Even after our piercing, he was so great with following up with us to ensure my daughters piercing healed well. Its so rare to find someone like Owen who is passionate/excellent at what he does and continues to show care and attention in the months to follow. Owen helped me regain hope in getting piercings. After having two piercings reject (from a different studio) I decided to come here for a second opinion. Immediately Owen explained the science behind why they failed and how he could redo them successfully once my ear heals. He took the time to explain to me some common misconceptions and myths about piercing healing. I thought I was at fault for my failed piercings but he explained to me how they were either poorly placed or incorrectly done. So happy to have such a caring piercer near me! I will be going back for sure.
