Luckys Tattoo and Piercing

Gotten 2 tattoos and 2 piercings here over the past few years. All great experiences that compare favorably to the ones I have had at a different large shop in Boston. Lucky’s has a really welcoming and clean studio environment and very kind and friendly front of house staff which I find to be more relaxing and comfortable than most other tattoo shops. It’s not the cheapest place but I think you get what you pay for in terms of quality, safety, and execution. Of the artists/piercers I have seen here, most are still at Lucky’s and I recommend them all - Nads for tattoos & Robbi and Heather for piercings (Clinton also downsized one of my piercings most recently and was great to work with too!).

Had the most incredible experience getting pierced by Lars. They could not be more professional and compassionate. They did an excellent job explaining aftercare info and were so kind and attentive throughout the appointment.Also appreciated the people working at the front of the store. They helped me find jewelry I loved and answered all my questions. Such a great experience! Will be back! 👂🏻✨

I got a tattoo with Gabby Winchester, and I can safely say this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with an artist. They were nothing but patient, caring, and I knew that she genuinely had my best interests in mind for designing a beautiful tattoo that I love, and that will heal and hold up well over time. They even came in on their day off to squeeze me in before I left for school! Gabby is a brilliant artist and an even better person, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!! Thanks for the stunning work!

I had an amazing experience getting pierced with Clinton! they explained everything that was gonna happen, got it done quickly and it was barely painful! it looks amazing and is pierced exactly where it was marked. we had a great chat too, hes very pleasant!! thank yall for everything, its well worth the price!!EDIT: piercings have healed very well and not migrated at all! :)

I have gone to Luckys Cambridge a few times for various piercing projects and have had positive experiences every time.Keith pierced my double brow in December when he was apprenticing. This was an important piercing for me as it has given me a great deal of gender euphoria around my face. Its healed wonderfully. He was very thoughtful and intentional in his process of lining up both sets of holes before piercing, and verbally walked me through the entire process with him as he went along. Everything is perfectly aligned just as Id hoped. Healing was uneventful. And Ive since had the barbels sized down (also at Luckys though I forget the piercers name!)I went for my triangle yesterday and had an excellent experience working with Lars. Their process seems trauma-informed and centers consent, communication, and comfort. There was ample space made for me to ask and have questions answered. And I felt assured of my agency throughout the process. I was comfortable advocating for myself and I had an active role in my own piercing. It wasnt just something being done to me. Lars was considerate and used respectful language and professional touch around my unique anatomy. I knew I was in good hands! She made sure I had all the information I needed and gave me some invaluable advice along with extra supplies to help me care for my new piercing.I would recommend working with Lars if youre a queer or trans individual considering a gender affirming genital -or other body- piercing. He made my session comfortable and accessible. Ive been wanting this piercing for a good while. The placement was very carefully aligned and looking at it now, Im happy with how it sits on my body. Im excited to start the healing process and eventually my stretching journey.Thank you Keith and Lars for the work youre doing.

My review is a bit overdue, but I still wanted to share my experience. Overall, the staff at Luckys were friendly and so was my tattoo artist, Nads. For my tattoo I wanted to get two skeletons holding each other. Unfortunately, over time I noticed parts of my tattoo started to look funny. Some Parts of the skeleton have faded. I do understand that tattoos can fade over time, BUT I had this tattoo for less than a year. I also have constantly used sunscreen on it and kept it covered with my shirt. Another thing I noticed was the skeleton on the left had some lines had blown out. Now I’m not sure I can cover this tattoo up due to the blow outs. *UPDATE* Right after I left my review, Luckys tattoo manger, Patrick Macdonald contacted me to help fix my tattoo. Patrick went above and beyond to help me get my tattoo fixed. He was willing to travel to any of the Luckys to fix my tattoo with no charge to me. When I met up with him, he was super nice and made me feel welcome. He showed a drawing he had been working on and I gave him the okay to begin tattooing. He engaged in conversation to help distract me from the pain of the tattoo. The time flew by as we talked and laughed. Once he was done, I got to see my new tattoo. I was shocked and amazed at how wonderful it turned out. After that I thanked him for his hard work. I HIGHLY recommend getting your tattoos done by Patrick.

Got a nose piercing from Robbie. They were extremely comforting, thorough in explaining the piercing process and aftercare, and very very friendly. Robbie was also very attentive to any questions I had, was very patient and thorough throughout the entire process, particularly when it came to placement of the jewelry. The front desk staff was also super accommodating and answered all my questions about the jewelry I was picking out. I highly recommend getting a nose piercing here, certainly the best place I’ve gone to.

I had a disappointing experience at this piercing place despite Heather, the piercer, being great. If it wasnt for Heather this place deserves one star.The front desk staff were unprofessional, spending more time socializing than assisting customers. Choosing new jewelry was frustrating, as staff offered no guidance and merely told me to pick what you like. After struggling for 10 minutes, they finally offered to grab a tweezer so I hold it up closer to my nose. All the jewelry I touched was not cleaned afterwards and placed back for display.When I called to inquire about prices before making a non refundable deposit, they only gave partial information. After my nose piercing, I was told I needed to return one month later to change the post size to something small, which was not mentioned beforehand when I called. It was $15 to make a downsizing appointment. When I arrived, I was charged extra for the new post. The downsize and shorter post price should be included in the initial payment. The total cost ended up being $175 for a single stud nose piercing, which felt excessively high and like a ploy to squeeze more money out of customers.

Got angel fangs — paired vertical lip piercings — by clinton and had a great experience! he was super friendly and answered all of my questions. had a bit of trouble getting the placement right — had to backtrack and redo both — and he was awesome throughout. really appreciate the dedication to a quality piercing, especially since they were paired and needed to match not just each other, but my other lip piercings. they are exactly how i wanted them. absolutely perfect. definitely recommend this place and am planning on going back to downsize when the swelling is down on these and to get other piercings in the future!

TLDR: check who your piercer is before going in!!!My sister and I got pierced here both for nose rings and had incredibly different experiences.My piercer Jaime Fox was great — super kind and sweet and really in depth and in detail explained to me the healing process and dos and donts. Also let me have my sister with me in the room. Jaime was so gentle in walking me through every part of the process, and even asked for my pronouns and used them. Jaime naturally gave me two different dots on the first nostril I was getting pierced to give me options for placement and let me choose while explaining the benefits and different look of both. They then also explained the differences in the second nostril placement — I.e. did I want it to line up horizontally with my first piercing or did I want it to be the same distance from the end of my nostril as my piercing. Without having Jaime, my sister and I wouldn’t have realized how good the piercing process could be — and how bad in comparison my sisters experience was.My sisters piercer Heather however was really rude. Firstly, when my sister asked for her to move the black dot/give her more options of where the piercing was supposed to go on her nostril, Heather insisted that it “didn’t really matter” and that it would all look the same anyway. Then, when my sister insisted on having some different placement dot options, Heather seemed frustrated and proceeded to put dots all up and down her nose until they were on the other nostril that my sister wasn’t getting pierced. Then, when my sister asked if she could come outside to get my opinion (because I wasn’t allowed in, which is fair bc it’s piercers decision), Heather again was frustrated and said that she was the professional so there was no need for a second opinion. Lastly, after Heather finished piercing my sister she just let her go and didn’t give any of the healing information or dos and donts that Jaime gave me, which feels unsafe healthwise. I couldn’t tell if there was a racist dynamic there, if it was because we took an extra 5 min selecting jewelry, or something else. I wish I could’ve told my sister that if she was uncomfortable, to just leave and ask for the deposit back or come back on a day with a better and more kind piercer.

Ive gotten pierced twice at luckys and gone back another time with 2 coworkers and a friend- the piercers are absolutely fantastic, kind, comforting, understanding, and extremely knowledgeable. If I was just rating them, itd be 5/5 from me. Lars in particular is a literal gem and one of my absolute favorite people Ive ever gotten a piercing from. They always take the time to explain every step, are so sweet and check in frequently to make sure youre feeling comfortable.The only issue Ive had is the front desk staff can be really brusque and even rude, and seem annoyed by questions/annoyed if you take longer than 5 minutes deciding on the very expensive jewelry. Their website is very confusing for booking appointments, so Ive had issues figuring it out and when I called to ask genuine questions about the right way to book, the front desk staff were again rude and seemed frustrated by my questions.Recently, i had a piercing downsized, and it fell out-- god forbid you have an emergency like that because the front desk staff acted as though i was personally inconveniencing them asking for a same day appointment because it would otherwise close up.Worth it to keep coming back from the piercers-- because again, they are all so so kind and i have only ever had wonderful experiences with them-- but I really hope they read this review and talk to the desk staff about trying to be more understanding when people have questions, because at this point its been 3 different desk staffers Ive had negative interactions with or felt rushed by. Its honestly shocking to me that a place that clearly tries to emphasize feeling comfortable and supported (based on their piercers) has front desk staff who behave in a way that feels honestly mean. Its just hard when you are already nervous and coming in for an emergency and get treated like an annoyance and like they dont even want you there.There are many reviews here saying the same thing, and the 2 coworkers and friend I came here with all also had the exact same feeling-- Im not the type to write a bad review after one mixed experience, this is coming from 4 peoples experiences on at least 5-6 occasions (piercings, downsizing, etc). I will say though, its definitely not everyone at the front desk-- some have been kind and even comped a post I needed upsized. Just overall definitely something to work on

I got my nose pierced in February at Luckys! The shop itself is clean, pleasant and comforting. The desk staff were friendly, and Clinton, my piercer, was very calming and professional, and patient in figuring out the specific placement of my piercing. I was very nervous but a very positive experience! Would absolutely return.

Ive been going to get pierced at Luckys for a few years now but recently got my daith pierced by Heather. The entire experience is very pleasant and well rehearsed. There are no pushy sales tactics to get you to buy higher cost jewelry if you are in a budget. Heather was extremely friendly and walked me through the entire process like a pro. The actual piercing part was smooth and relatively painful, and I credit Heathers training and calm demeanour for that! Will always recommend Luckys as the place to go if you want a positive piercing experience.

Had an amazing experience getting my septum pierced last night by Clinton. Everyone was so professional and the piercer was so calming during the process. Will 100% be coming back for more :)

I got pierced by Robbi on May 14th and I have to say it was one of the most comforting experiences I’ve had in a piercing shop. They took such good care of me and made sure I felt safe and comfortable during the entire process. Robbi is such a cool person and I believe I have found my new home base piercer in the Boston area. Highly recommend them, I couldn’t be happier with my piercing and my experience!

Had a really horrible experience. Got there early and the front desk seemed bothered by that, and just generally pissed to be there. I waited and eventually when they got themselves together got me into my appointment about 15 mins late (which wasn’t too bad). But the piercer had to go on lunch, I offered to wait longer so she could eat, but was rushed into the room told my “friend” (actually my partner, who she called my friend even though I told her) could not come in with me. I have disabilities and needed them there for various reasons - also some girls mom was allowed earlier so I don’t understand why I couldn’t bring my partner who I live with.When I called earlier to see if they had body jewelry I could wear in an MRI, and after as well (glass, plastic, silicone), they said yes. I didn’t want retainers. I got my piercings changed to retainers. I was given the wrong size for one of my piercings, squeezing the skin (nipple) and since the piercer went on lunch I was given another retainer from the desk to do it myself at home (that was the nicest thing they did). And then they had the nerve to charge me 30-40 dollars for two tiny pieces of glass that are barely held together. I am definitely asking for a refund and never returning to this place.

Lars in an absolute joy! I went in to get my piercing downsized and they made sure to cover all the logistics of my piercing and about my size. Such a wonderful experience and everyone at the desk is so nice!

Hello! I’ve now been to Lucky’s several times and my experiences with the staff have been wonderful.My friend and I got matching conch piercings and had a jewelry browsing appointment that went WAY over time because we were so indecisive, but the person who helped us (Sam?) was so so helpful and enthusiastic, and did a great job at selecting pieces that they thought would look great on us.Our piercer, who’s name I unfortunately can’t remember (mushrooms and plants decorated their room!!) was super kind and friendly, had great placement suggestions, and was very clean. The piercings healed with absolutely no issues and were less painful than anticipated.Just got my jewelry downsized by Lars, and they were equally fantastic. No pain at all, friendly, cheerful, and very quick service.Huge selection of jewelry, changes very very regularly. It is quite pricy, so heads up. They won’t let you use jewelry you already own for the jewelry that they pierce you with for sanitary reasons, so you do have to buy something from them for that initial jewelry.

Was 2 minutes late to my appointment due to unfamiliar and busy area, I called when I was almost there. Walked in and was treated like I was 10 minutes late by front desk staff. Two women, green hair and brown hair- acted very indifferent, brown haired woman seemed almost rude. Didnt feel welcoming at all and made me feel uncomfortable. They didnt want to be there/didnt care and you can tell.My piercer, Heather, was AMAZING and I would give her 5* separately. Made me very comfortable and was very kind. If not for her I would have probably given 1*.

I have been to Lucky’s many times and have gotten my flat, forward helix, 4th lobes, conch, and nostril done. I have been seen by 3 of their piercers - Clinton, Lars, and Madison. They all did an amazing job. Every step is mapped out for you, leaving no surprises throughout the whole process. They take their time in marking locations, getting approval, and ensuring comfort.The jewelry is high quality, so be prepared to spend a bit. Their stock is well worth it though (all jewelry except 2nd and 3rd lobes are from them, photo of charm). Some of the piercers even make custom jewelry - I have a beautiful custom chain from Lars and their partner Robin (@devoutfinejewelry on ig) around my flat piercing.Everyone from the front desk staff to the piercers are respectful, inclusive, kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. They will guide you in the right direction when picking jewelry and don’t get frustrated by indecisiveness. The overall store is very clean too. I will definitely be back and don’t plan on going anywhere else.

I’ve been to luckys twice now. I had my daith and helix done by Robbi and my rook and septum done by Lars. I had the most wonderful experience both times. Not only does luckys have the most beautiful jewelry selection, but their piercers are also the kindest most down to earth people. I don’t have enough good things to say about Robbi and Lars. They made sure I had the best experience, and I will most definitely be back to get more piercings done by them

I got a 3-hour tattoo by Caleb Colpitts, and the whole experience was great. He made me feel super comfortable for my first tattoo. He was friendly and kind, answered my questions, and chatted during the session. I would absolutely get tattooed by him again. Im so happy with my piece and the whole experience.

I had a wonderful experience at Luckys for getting my 2nd lobe and helix piercing. I emailed the shop about what I wanted and Sam responded within a few hours explaining the shop recommendations for multiple piercings with regards to healing times. I was also given estimates for jewelry and service fees. I was able to book my appointment easily online and received confirmation emails and texts. When I got to the shop, I was VERY IMPRESSED by how beautifully clean the shop was. I was a bit early for my appointment, but the front desk staff was kind enough to let me browse jewelry and get checked-in early. The front desk staff was very friendly and I felt welcomed in the shop. My piercer Madison was lovely and very knowledgeable! I have tiny ears and wasnt sure how I could accommodate multiple piercings, but she took the time and care to explain how hole placements could affect the styles of jewelry I wear and marked my ears where possible holes could go. She also made sure that the placements of my holes were where I wanted them and that they were even. After the piercing, she showed me with a mirror on my piercings how to clean them properly and what to expect during the healing process. Overall I am very pleased with the service I received and will for sure be returning for more!

I got double second lobe piercings here a couple of weeks ago and I would definitely recommend, Keith, the apprentice piercer is super kind, informative and does a great job! My piercings are healing nicely and I got clear care instructions. I’d go again if I wanted more piercings.

Edit: I went back and Im super happy with the result. Got three new pieces placed. I think it looks awesome.I love this place. Theyre always clean and respectful. Great selection of jewelry. The staff is super respectful and supportive.Recently had three piercings added to my ear. I love the way it came out. Ill be back here when I can afford to be.

My whole experience was amazing! From the curation appointment with Jamie to the advice Clinton gave about my piercings, to his reassuring voice and coaching throughout the piercing process, I couldnt have been happier. The studio was so clean and everyone was so careful about sterilization, and everyone was just terrific! I cannot recommend Luckys enough!Edit: Ive now been back to Luckys twice more for downsizing and advice. I saw Robbi and Clinton again, and felt so well cared for and well advised. Still cant recommend Luckys enough!

Totally unprofessional place, I had an appointment for 5 oclock, I called and asked if there was a delay tolerance and they said there was only 10 minutes, I drove 40 minutes from my house to the studio, I got there at 5:05 (I ran on the road to make it time) when I arrived at the studio the attendants were very arrogant and simply said that they had put someone else in my place, they were not at all friendly, and left me waiting until the “manager” who was on the side serving another customer “authorize” they returned the deposit that they themselves canceled! I CERTAINLY DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

Had a nose piercing fall out and lost the jewelry so I needed a new piercing put in. I specifically asked for the back piece to not be long as it bothers me, but they went ahead and did so anyway. I assume it’s because they want me to come back later and pay to switch it out for a shorter one. They did a good job but feel a bit scammed as my piercing was healed and definitely did not need the longer backing (super annoying and rubs the inside of my nose)

This place is busy and I respect that. I mean it’s 1 of very few reputable piercing shops in the Boston area.For me, I’ve had over 15x piercings in various places on my body and as a result have gotten to see various kinds of tattoo and piercing shops. If this was your first time getting pierced or you were getting something more complex I would say this isn’t a terrible place to come. But humans are fallible and the industry of piercings is no exception.The reason I gave 2 stars was because of the service and the price. I do always recommend buying quality pieces of jewelry and the bar I got is sturdy and of good quality… all-be it definitely on the higher end of the price point than other places (one must account for the cost of being in a city and paying city prices).If you go here, of course you’ll need an appointment and even one for sizing! I understand this concept in theory but, what happens if you have an emergency with your piercing and just need a filler piece of jewelry to tide you over until you can get an appointment?I didn’t get a chance to even fully explain my circumstances when I was met with a disgruntled employee. Initially I asked to buy a bar, and she asked me what size. When I said “oh I’m not sure” her demaner shifted to one that reflected annoyance which.. I can understand. I didn’t have an appointment or call ahead. I didn’t realize you can’t really look at jewelry at this type of shop. I recognize it’s also on me for not asking the previous piercer, what he was piercing me with. But the attitude was completely not necessary. When I asked if I would be able to just review the sizes, I was told that I would need an appointment and they were all booked for today. I had to keep advocating for myself due to the pickle I was in ( fear of my nipple piercing closing up). The rest of the interaction was just hostile and very uncomfortable.I don’t want to come back to a place like this and wish there were more piercing shops around. I’ve noticed many Boston piercing shops have a similar business models post Covid and can’t really do anything for you if you have an emergency with your piercing. This blemish isn’t necessarily just this shop’s fault but, rather an issue with various shops in Boston. She also could have been a little forthcoming with information and dropped the attitude though. Really disappointing and disheartening experience :/ I’m sure other people have had good experiences it just was just a jarring and dysregulating experience when all I needed was a simple bar to hold me over until I could get an appointment. No offer to schedule one either but most likely because she wanted me to get out of the shop. Oh well :/ I was hoping to find a reliable place but this interaction makes me weary of ever going back.

Unfortunately I am disappointed with my piercings I got here, I got snake bites here about a year ago. The staff were all very nice and the shop was nice and clean but my snake bites came out crooked. I noticed right off the bat they looked crooked after the second piercing was done but my piercer assured me that after the swelling goes down in a few months they will straighten out. She said after 6+ months they should be completely healed. They healed without any problems, I cleaned them everyday and downsized as instructed but even a year on out they are still very crooked looking and lopsided no matter what jewelry I put in. One is higher than the other and the tunnel is at a different angle/point of entry than the other one inside my mouth. After months of doing research for snakebites and almost $200 down Im immensely disappointed that they turned out so crooked.

Incredible piercing shoppe, with experienced and empathetic piercers. All the staff are well-trained and attend conferences regularly to refresh best safety measures/practices. Also, VERY queer-friendly!I came here to get my nostril pierced, returned several months later to get my septum pierced. My friend came here to get their rook pierced and returned with me to get their eyebrow pierced. All masterfully done.

They severely overcharge on jewelery. Most places, getting 2 piercings is about 120-140 including service and jewelery. Here its just about 200. When making an appointment, you do a down payment of the service, they do not tell u how much the jewelery is until you are there, and the payment for service is non refundable so you are stuck going.Besides that the people that work here are super sweet and patient. My only complaint is how expensive it is.

I came here for the first time the other day to get a nipple piercing. the person who did my piercing made me feel very comfortable and explained the entire process to me so well! they were great and i love the result. the jewelry here is also very pretty and high grade.

I got my rook and a singular lobe done here recently and had a great experience. I was pierced by Robbi. The place is very clean, and the staff are well trained and informative. They have a good range of jewelry options for different metals & gem types.I have anxiety during piercings because I have a low pain tolerance, and Im a fainting risk (the things we do to look cool). The staff & Robbi were understanding, and followed what I told them helped me the most. I was able to lay down and we did the piercings at my own pace. I was told what was going on at every step which was super helpful as you cant see what is going on for ear piercings.I felt super informed about the healing time of my piercings, downsizing, and aftercare instructions. I will definitely be returning for piercings in the future :)

Here is a brief description on the issue. The transaction occurred in April 2024. My child wanted to get a naval piercing. The website indicated $40 for the navel piercing, a $40 to hold a spot and cost of jewelry was depended on the choice. My child was shown jewelry and they chose what they were informed was the cheapest one. At the end of the transaction, a bill of $300+ was shown and my child had to pay for it. I called my bank to understand why the bill was so high. As a parent looked on the website myself and confirmed the costs. Through my banks investigations I learned that the cost of the jewelry included multiple parts. This is not mentioned on the website. This is a material fact that was misrepresented and harmed me financially. I called the store to ask for details and the rep was helpful at first by giving me details of the transaction but then when I questioned some facts, she told me that my child was the issue. When I indicated that what she said was inappropriate, she said I didnt know anything about her life. I wasnt asking about her life. She was rude and unpleasant and stated that my child was banned. She kept accusing my child of wrong doing. When I asked her the name of the person who sold my child the jewelry she said it was Brit and I asked if she made a mistake of what jewelry my child wanted and she got upset and corrected me by saying Brit was not a girl. It was an honest mistake but she was rude about it. She also indicated that she would speak to the owner and get me the necessary information I asked for and have the owner reach out to me. Neither has happened. Businesses need to take accountability for the actions of their employees and the how they present information on their website. I would like $200 refunded. Many of the Google reviews are examples of misinformation, says alot about the businesses practices at this place. Please read the reviews before going to this business. UPDATE: My daughters jewelry broke and I was informed the jewelry had a lifetime warranty but no clear explanation of what is covered in the warranty nor was it provided to the customer. BBB complaint was filed to get a refund on their so called quality jewelry.

Absolutely love Luckys, Ive been coming to this shop since it first opened and was going to their Noho location prior!! I went this past week due to my conch jewelry popping out and I was unable to get it back in. The staff was incredibly helpful and helped me pick a new earring and install the new jewelry. They also put new jewelry in my rook piercing they did a few years back! Super professional and kind staff, couldnt recommend this place enough.

Great piercing experience, these guys are the real deal. Super professional, super clean, so much amazing jewelry to choose from. Madison was super careful when marking out my piercings and Im really happy with how they turned out-- my 2nd and 3rd earlobe piercings. I already had my 1st and 4th lobe piercings done, and now everything is perfectly spaced and looks great. I bought jewelry made by Lars, another piercer at Luckys, and Im blown away by now nice they look. Its been a week and my ear is healing really nicely. Id totally go back.

First I want to say how amazing Heather was with my two girls. I was nervous how they would react when getting pierced however it was Heathers calm and informative approach that made this all worth it. I was so thankful that she not only spoke to me about the processes but also spoke to the girls themselves about aftercare and what she was going to do. They both look amazing and I would recommend the experience we had to anyone who has a little girl who is ready for earrings.

Lucky’s is my go to place for anything tattoo or piercing related. Patrick MacDonald has been tattooing me since 2014 and every time I have an appointment I am blown away by his artistic abilities. Patrick is kind, patient, and gentle. He is aware of peoples sensitivities and always checks in to make sure I am okay when undergoing a tattoo. Patrick is versatile and can tackle any tattoo project due to his years of tattooing experience. I normally throw an idea at Patrick (ex:“I want bones and flowers”) and let him interpret how the design should look amongst my existing tattoos. He always nails what I am envisioning.Lucky’s overall is an amazing studio. LGBTQIA+ friendly. I always feel safe and respected here. Iva had my nose pierced here and have had multiple jewelry changes by the piercing staff who are also as kind and friendly as Patrick.Highly recommend this place! Best tattoo parlor in all of New England in my opinion :)

My experience with this studio was extremely disappointing! My appointment was scheduled for 5pm and I called at 4:30pm saying that I would be late and the manager told me that the delay policy was 10 minutes, I arrived at the studio at 5:06pm and they had put someone else in my place even though I didnt cancel my appointment or reschedule. When I arrived they simply said they couldnt do anything and that the deposit was non-refundable. The establishment and staff were extremely unprofessional towards me and I was very disappointed. If I could, I would give them a negative rating because they dont even deserve 1 star.

I was pierced by Lars for the first time for my septum, they were very kind and helpful. Today I was pierced by Heather, she was amazing as well, and very informant about our bodys anatomy. I got both my second earlobes and conch done , and honestly, i thought the conch would hurt more than the lobes, which was the complete opposite. Literally I trust my whole heart with this place!

Luckys is fantastic and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get pierced in the Boston area! They are incredibly clean, professional, and have a great selection of jewelry, and probably the most LGBTQ+ friendly tattoo shop Ive seen in the Northeast. My piercer was Lars and they were probably the best piercer Ive ever gone to. I got a couple helixes and a vertical labret, plus my daith jewelry swapped out. Lars was super fastidious about placement and making sure I was comfortable with everything, and the piercings were quick and easy. Ill definitely be coming back!

Great service, I got pierced by Robbie the first time and Lars the second. Both were excellent, made me feel comfortable, safe, and less nervous. They tell you before every touch and step which helps with feeling at ease. Its also a trauma informed and consent based practice to do that so if that is a concern, you will be in good hands. My piercings are healing beautifully so I know it was done professionally and with utmost care and cleanliness.

Its seems strange that you need to make an appointment just to look at their stuff. It seems like a clean place, and they must get a lot of business to turn people away. I was ready to buy plugs today. But considering they asked me to leave the moment I got in the door... I will not return.Pro tip: goto there website and schedule a time before trying to enter.It felt like extreme gate keeping, however Im all for business doing what they want to make money, still felt extremely strange.Final note the art on the wall seems only like generic flash style, big on visiting shops to see the local town art... Tbh since I wasnt allowed in the door I think this shop wasnt for me from the start, it seems the focus is on creating safe spaces, which is amazing, so Ill bump my initial review from 1 to 2 stars.Thought their art is still 1.

I had a great experience! The shop has a clean, welcoming vibe and all the employees I spoke to were nice. Madison gave me a great eyebrow piercing. They can anodize titanium in house right before your appointment if you are looking for a certain color.

Keith did a fabulous job helping me pick out jewelry for a new daith and hidden helix piercing. He was so through confirming that they could get the placement right on my helix piercing. And Clint did a fabulous job with my piercings. He made the experience pleasurable. I highly recommend seeing them for all your piercing needs.

I probably would not have as many piercings as I do if Luckys did not exist. Between the caring front desk staff, the skilled piercers, and the beautiful jewellery selection, this place is 100% the best place to poke some new holes in your body in the Boston area. I have been pierced by Lars, Clinton, Heather, and Madison and each piercing has been so well placed and the piercers make you feel super safe and cared for. Luckys is also very queer friendly. I feel so fortunate that theyre so close by and I recommend them to everyone! In the photo I attached, the faux rook, flat, conch, and second lobe were all done at Luckys, and my jewellery was all selected with the help of the staff at the front desk.

Super disappointed with my service today.I had a stretched earlobe repaired 3-4 months ago and wanted to get the area repierced. I was fully approved by the surgeon to do so at this time, because, although people say that it takes a full year to heal, the ear heals -- at most -- to 86% elasticity. By Month 3, the ear is healed to 83-84% elasticity already, so the subsequent months of healing are medically very negligible.I was refused the piercing at the time of my appointment despite being transparent about my situation when booking the appointment. I was not contacted by Luckys before my appointment, nor was there a warning on their online booking software regarding an inability/refusal to pierce post-ear repair surgery.Although I was refunded my deposit, it is enormously disappointing to have been refused service today. This also fails to account for the time that I specifically took out of my schedule for this appointment, which is unable to be replaced.Ive been to Luckys for the majority of my piercings, and this is the first bad experience that Ive had. I truly couldnt be more disappointed after today.

This company never disappoints. I went to them for most of my tattoos in Northampton and their location in Cambridge holds up to the same amazingness. Got a cartilage piercing changed out by their piercer Lars, who was AMAZING! So sweet and conversational and very easy going. 10/10 would recommend Luckys and especially Lars!

Mimi gave me a second lobe piercing in each ear back in June and it was honestly the BEST experience. It was my first piercing since I was an infant, and I was irrationally nervous, but Mimi put me at ease. She was so precise with marking where she’d pierce and made sure I was completely happy and informed before she started. She was patient with me and talked me through each step. The actual piercing was basically painless! She was also informative about aftercare, available to answer my silly questions, and so kind and efficient when I came back for downsizing. I love my new piercings - no notes. Absolute perfection. Only Mimi will be piercing me going forward.

A friend of mine requested an Asian based kanji tattoo from the establishment, and was told just because of her skin tone that it is “ cultural appropriation “?. I am black and have Japanese kanjis and have never heard of this, this establishment should be a first choice.

This place is awesome! Friendly staff, chill environment, plus the proper sterilization protocols… what more could I ask for? Kayla Ann did an awesome job on my tattoo of Mavis, from Hotel Transylvania. It was done in two parts, but I LOVE how it came out! 100% recommended!

I had such an awesome experience here. The other piercings that I have were done elsewhere (different state) in a much more slapdash manner. This was the total opposite experience. The shop is wonderfully clean and in a great location. It felt super welcoming and bright and very professional. Everyone I spoke with was really polite and kind and I felt really well taken care of.I want to throw a special shout out to my piercing artist, Lars. They were AWESOME. So personable, so kind, constant check ins to make sure I was doing okay. Ive never had such a positive and professional experience getting pierced.I had a little bit of sticker shock but thats because I was used to the very meh process from previous studios. My best friend and I were looking for a clean, reputable piercing place and that’s exactly what we found! The whole experience was amazing. Everyone in the shop was so nice and welcoming. My rook piercing was done by Heather. She made me feel so comfortable and walked me through the whole process as well as the healing time. I’m loving my piercing and can’t wait to go back to have it changed into a cute hoop once it’s healed. This is the only place I will be going from now on for future piercings.

I read ALL the ratings before I went, and was a little nervous even though the vast majority were positive. Pretty much every negative review was proved wrong by my experience! Everyone was incredibly kind, helpful, and patient. Lars made sure to talk me through everything and make sure I was okay every step of the way. I also found everyone there to be very personable! I’m not used to piercings—this was my first one since getting my ears done 20 years ago. They really made getting my daith pierced easy and as low stress as possible (and I am an anxious wimp, so that’s saying something).

Brought my sister here for her septum piercing appointment on a Saturday evening. Theyre appointment-only, so you have to ring a bell to be let in. Bonus points though because patrons are also required to wear a mask.We checked in, and my sister was shown the case of available septum jewelry, and we could ask about the pricing of each piece.The experience was a bit frustrating because of the lack of pricing transparency. Theres the deposit to be paid when making the appointment online, but the FAQ only lists the starting prices for the jewelry, so imagine my surprise when the first piece we asked the pricing for was $525. Admittedly I dont have piercings myself so I dont know what standard prices are, and Im sure the jewelry is high quality. We ended up asking the pricing for a couple of different pieces, but it just felt like a longer process than it has to be.Upon a little more digging on their site, they do have an online store, but they only list a fraction of what jewelry is available and they encourage you to call for more details.Ultimately, my sister was happy with her piercing, but I would encourage other first-timers to do more research than I did to avoid any surprises.

I can not say enough great things about Luckys! I was pretty nervous as I dont have many piercings beyond two single lobe piercings, so going in for 4 (second lobe on each ear, tragus, and helix on one ear) all at once was a little nerve-wracking. However, Lars made it the best experience possible. They made sure I was informed about the process and care, and they checked in with me to see how I was doing throughout. Lars was attentive, kind, and it was a pleasure to be pierced by them! They also helped me curate the ear of my dreams! I cannot wait to go and get more piercings once these heal!

I’d love to begin with sayin’ this is THE BEST ATMOSPHERE, PERIOD! Lucky’s Tattoo has some of the best staff. NIC, the front staff, took care of my partner and I. They helped chose the most fabulous jewelry for our piercings. I didn’t feel any pressure or feel shame with my novice knowledge. Nic made me feel completely comfortable. It was as if they knew me! When it was time for the piercing, the amazing hospitality didn’t end. Surprisingly, the experience became more pleasant! I know, WILD! Right? LARS is a piercing deity! I have gotten tattoos at Lucky’s in years past but this was my first piercing. I got my septum pierced by Lars, and they were amazing! They were so easy going, friendly, thoughtful, and communicative; making for the easiest trip I could have imagined. I don’t currently plan on piercing more than my septum, but should I change my mind I will absolutely be going back to Lars. Thanks again for a great experience!

Wanted to write this review to share my wonderful experience. . Staff is beyond nice and friendly. I normally get anxiety and light-headed around getting pierced, but my piercer Heather was extremely kind and accommodating which made me feel more at ease. Will be coming back!

Luckys takes walk-ins - I wanted a Helix and Forward Helix piercing. Piercings are $30 each and jewelry ranges from $40 for basic titanium to several hundred per piece with diamonds. There is a wide range of jewelry to choose from and many staff to help. My piercer was professional, knowledgeable and experienced. I felt comfortable throughout the process. I know other studios offer comparable high quality services for a little less, like Chameleon. I was not mentally prepared to spend a few hundred dollars but wanted piercings I wouldnt trust someone at Claires or Piercing Pagoda to do. Expect to spend $100+ a piercing for the jewelry you want, and ask about coupons (there was a BOGO on the piercing part, but not on jewelry). The space is well lit and the rooms are surgically sterile. Since I didnt bother to call other places on pricing, Ill only say that I had a great highly professional clean experience here.Update: my forward helix is severely swollen and the earring is embedded - not sure why this happened, but a longer post might’ve helped...

Had a great experience getting pierced at Luckys. Its super clean, and all the staff are welcoming. My piercer took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I was comfortable/understood what was happening during every step of the process. The front desk staff did a great job helping me pick out new jewelry for my piercings - very professional and informative. I had a great experience having new jewelry installed by Lars! Lars was very professional and communicative, and I wouldn’t have even noticed them working on my ear if they hadn’t described the process. I would wholeheartedly recommend working with Lars if you need jewelry installed. I’d never been to Lucky’s before but it’s a beautifully designed space, and very clean with good sanitation practices. Bonus points because all of the staff I interacted with were masking!

I’ve been going to Lucky’s for over 2 years now and I’ve always had a great experience with all the staff. I will only go here for my piercings now. I also greatly appreciated that when I came in this week everyone was required to wear masks, hopefully this is a policy that will continue going forward!

Luckys has been amazing since I initially reached out to them for a simple ear lobe piercing. It was my first time using a professional piercer so I was a little nervous about the process, but Lars talked to me prior about the procedure and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I came with a few friends to get our first facial piercings, and we all had a wonderful time. Lars was my piercer, and they were amazing! Knowledgeable, kind, and very clear with what they were doing, what to expect, and patient because I was nervous as hell. Every employee that I interacted with was very knowledgeable. I also appreciated the staff double checking that my pronouns were still accurate from when I made the appointment; it was a small but nice touch. I also dont live in Boston, so they recommended me a piercer to go to where I live to safely get my conch piercing adjusted when the time comes. All in all, a wonderful experience, and I will be going back if I find myself in Boston again!!

This place is legit. Everyone there is super respectful, very lgbtq+/queer friendly (they ask your preferred name and pronouns, and have the pronouns of their staff listed on the website). Very clean/professional place. Lars was my piercer, and they were amazing. Lars went over every detail with me, and let me know what they were doing/about to do during the whole process. I got my belly button pierced, and exposing your body like that to someone can be scary, but I felt completely safe and comfortable with Lars. I often can feel awkward with strangers, but Lars made me feel like I was an old friend. Also the jewelry selection here is vast and gorgeous. I love love loved that you can book online, that’s one of the main reasons I chose Lucky’s. Only thing “negative” I would say, is I would have loved to see more jewelry options on the website, I could only see a few pieces, and would have liked to have a better idea of my jewelry options before coming in, but this would not deter me from recommending Lucky’s or returning, this place is awesome.

I had a really fantastic experience here getting my tragus pierced by Clinton! He is incredibly professional and experienced. This shop is also taking full COVID precautions and they truly calmed my nerves about getting the piercing. I highly recommend this place!

This was my first time going to them as I am new to the area. The entire experience was so amazing! The space is clean and spacious. You can tell they take extra time to make sure that the waiting area and the private rooms are thoroughly sterilized. My piercer made sure I was comfortable the entire time, and eased my nerves with a nice conversation. The piercing was quick and easy. She made sure to explain how to clean the area and what to expect after perching. She made sure to see if I had any more questions before leaving the shop. They are super queer friendly and even asked my pronouns (which I’ve never had happen at a tattoo shop before)! The rest of the staff are really sweet as well and I can see why this shop is so popular! I can not wait to book a tattoo appointment!!

I got a single point piercing from Lars which I was scared about since I knew it’ll hurt. But Lars was so kind, considerate and communicative that I felt safe and cared for. They took the time to explain each step of the process and made sure I was ok the whole time. It still hurt but I wasn’t scared. Bonus for the decor and helpful counter staff

Robbi is incredible! I was so nervous to get my nose piercing (my first piercing as an adult) and throughout the entire process I was affirmed/made to feel so comfortable by them. The actual pain was not so unbearable and I’m 2 weeks in & I’m happy with the overall healing process. The jewelry selection is also quite nice. So glad I got my piercing here.

I have been to Luckys for a bunch of different piercing and piercing related appointments, and I have a great time, every time. The first time I went in was over a year ago for an emergency, where one of my helix pieces got snagged and embedded half way through the piercing. I was seen quickly, the piercing was treated, new jewelry was placed, and it recovered beautifully. I have been in for advice around a rook piercing that was struggling to heal, and that received the same care, and also recovered perfectly. I have had two jewelry shopping appointments and the folks who have helped me really know how to cater to taste, budget, and aesthetic. Most recently I came in and saw Madison (and Juliet) to add double forward helix piercings, and it was an awesome experience. Throughout all of these appointments I have been treated with respect, kindness, and consideration ~The vibes are excellent~ There are also really great COVID safety protocols in place, so I am super happy to be coming here. I go out of my way to come to Luckys and it is absolutely worth it.

She was creative and honest about what would be possible with my anatomy and healing considerations. Lars did my piercings and they were INCREDIBLE! Purely the piercing service alone, would have Garner a five star rating and I liked the piercer a lot. I was not told when inquiring about prices that the jewelry would be almost $100 on top of the piercing cost. Simple ear piercing costing 170 seems absolutely insane, especially since they want us to come back in two months to buy a different size. That is the kind of information that should be given when one inquires about price.The shop was very clean and nice.

I’ve been to the Cambridge location 3 times in the last year to get my first ever tattoo, and subsequent additions since then. Each time I saw Ash (@ajemtattoo) and had a lovely experience. They made me feel so warm and welcome every time I was on their table. Ash takes his time explaining the process, going over the stencil and any revisions, and eases into each piece so gently. On top of being a great artist, they are a pleasure to hang out with for hours on end, especially if you are into cute video games or horror!!!The shop itself is very welcoming and it feels like everyone there is excited to talk to you about your new piercings or tattoos. The staff at the front end are extremely professional and sweet humans. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first tattoo.Highly Recommend!!!

Ive had piercings, jewelry changes, and tattoos performed at Luckys and have been assisted by multiple of the amazing front of house staff when it comes to jewelry suggestions. Ive never had anything less than a stellar experience when I walk through the door.Pre- and post-pandemic the staff has always taken the greatest care to ensure the safety of clients and themselves. This is strongly reflected in the clean and well-organized environment throughout the shop, from the front of house to each artists individual rooms. The appointment booking process and waivers are also very clearly written which makes the process even easier.In terms of service, everyone Ive ever interacted with at Luckys has been beyond welcoming and kind. Front of house is always very informative and so helpful when it comes to making jewelry decisions. They have one of the largest selections I have ever seen, so choosing is honestly harder than getting pierced! Each artist Ive worked with has done an amazing job of explaining the aftercare procedure as well. I have gotten pierced and tattooed elsewhere in the past and can honestly say no other shop has ever put me at ease the way that Luckys does. I suspect this is largely in part by the knowledge that they are so welcoming to people of all identities.Whenever I have friends in the Boston area looking to get a piercing or tattoo, I will always recommend the folks at Luckys.

Ive seen Lars twice for various piercings and Mimi once for a jewelry change and they are both very knowledgeable and comforting. The same goes for the rest of the staff-- Ive been to many other piercers before who gave poor piercing/aftercare advice and made me feel dumb for asking questions. All the staff were very professional, knowledgable, and friendly. They were patient while I waffled about which jewelry I wanted. Clinton was my piercer, and he was very careful in placing my piercings so they were even and centered. He made sure I was happy with his placement. He was very approachable and kind. I would definitely recommend Luckys, just be aware that any jewelry that isnt titanium is quite expensive.

I got a piercing done on 6/22 by Lars and I cannot say enough good things about them and the entire experience. They did an incredible job of making me feel comfortable and walking me through the piercing process each step of the way. My 6 year old niece came to Boston to get her ears pierced. The whole crew especially Madison was amazing with her and so patient! The people at the front desk gave her some toys to hold while she was nervous waiting and Madison had the perfect studio to create a comfortable environment for any age. Madison explained everything step by step to make my niece comfortable. The only downside is they’re so good they’re booked far in advance so I couldn’t sneak in my own piercing, but will definitely be booking in the future. Thank you Luckys for a great experience!

I was nervous to get my septum pierced, but I had a great experience at Lucky’s! The staff was kind and friendly, and took care to explain every step of the process to me so I knew what to expect.

I had a great time at Luckys Tattoo and Piercing. I went in for a piercing and from start to finish it was a great experience. The check-in process was easy and COVID-friendly and the employees behind the counter were extremely warm and friendly and helped me pick out great jewelry in my price range. When it was time for the actual piercing Lars was absolutely AMAZING. So so kind and explained everything they were doing which helped me to feel comfortable. I loved my experience and would definitely return/recommend to others.

I have been pierced here multiple times by a few different piercers and each time I have been so happy. Everyone I have dealt with from the front desk picking out jewelry to the piercers themselves have been so kind and helpful. They walk through every step of the piercing process and make you feel comfortable as you go.

I have been to Luckys in Cambridge twice now for piercings, both times with Lars. They are amazing. So welcoming and helpful and kind. The first time I saw them was for a cartilage piercing which went very well and is healing beautifully. I was worried about healing a cartilage since I was having trouble with another one (not done at Luckys), but Lars explained how to take care of it and the piercing was so well done that I have had no problems.The second time I saw them was to swap out a ring in the other cartilage piercing that I had done somewhere else. This one was not healing well and Lars helped me swap it out and it already feels 10x better.The studio itself is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and inviting. The jewelry selection is extensive and high quality. The front of house staff are equally helpful and friendly. I tell everyone to go to Luckys and now would never go anywhere else!

Been here multiple times for piercings/tattoos and can I say that it almost feels like they don’t want you to book an appointment.Piercing experience with booking an appointment was pretty simple as there’s an online form with no need to call or email but with getting a tattoo,,,, it’s *rough*.First time getting an appointment for a tattoo, I reached out to the artist I wanted, confirmed their books were opened and then discussed/lined up what I wanted done. All that was left was to email Lucky’s to set up an appointment. Should be easy,,, right?Wrong.-First email to Lucky’s was sent out. Waited a week to no response. Messaged the artist, artist says to send another email.-Second email, similar lack of response. Message artist again. Artist says they’ll talk to the studio.-Lucky’s finally responds to email. Two weeks have passed at this point. Email says to call them to book an appointment.-I check their hours, call that day within store hours. Voicemail. Leave voicemail with my number in it.-Nothing. Wait a day or two. Nothing.-Call again. Straight to voicemail. It has been three weeks and I still have yet to book an appointment. By this point, the original date that I wanted to get my tattoo done has passed.-Message artist *again.* Told to call again.-Call Lucky’s for the third time. Voicemail.-Nearly give up, but hey. I want this tattoo. Call again multiple times the next day until someone picks up. Mention my struggles even getting someone on the line. No apology, which, whatever I don’t need one, I just want an appointment.-Appointment gets set for a month out because again, their lack of response has now pushed back the timing both I and the artist had planned for.Now, I’m trying to book with the same artist again and experiencing similar difficulties. Tattoo artist being easy to get ahold of and plan with, actual studio playing a game of hide and “yeah actually we don’t wanna talk to you” when it comes to booking an appointment. It’s incredibly frustrating to try to want to throw my money at a business only for them to spit on my shoes and avoid emailing/answering their phones.

My friend and I went to Luckys a couple weeks ago for piercings. Appointment booking was super streamlined, staff were very welcoming, and the atmosphere was chill. Clinton and Lars are great communicators, and they made the whole experience as comfortable as possible.

Mimi was awesome! Totally recommend them. Place takes hygiene / cleanliness totally seriously. You can schedule online and fill out all consents. I have no complaints but was surprised to hear I had to have a stud for a conch piercing (no hoops) - totally fine but that wasnt on the website. They have an excellent selection of studs in both titanium and gold. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best shop AND piercing experience of my life and, Ive been around the block a time or two and am no stranger to the practice of self love and self ownership through the process of body embellishment. Lars makes you feel comfortable, They are so kind and genuine, so informative, and VERY knowledgeable and skilled within Their craft. Nics customer service, eye for design and styling, knowlede of stones, metals and fine piercing jewelry was extraordinary. The shop was very clean comfortable and this businesses is truly a safe and comfortable space for queer folk and people of color like kyself. 10/10 will be back and would recommend. As with any tattoo or piercing shop, your quality will always be reflected by the artists you choose. I personally have a couple of tattoos done by Spencer, whose work I highly recommend for your next piece. Luckys is a very welcoming environment, no matter if youre completely new to tattoos or getting your tenth.

I went to Luckys yesterday to downsize my nostril jewelry and get my septum pierced and it was a great experience! The shop is clean and welcoming - its clear that they want everybody to feel comfortable here. Lars did my piercing and they did a great job! They walked me through the whole process, were fun and encouraging, and anodized my jewelry to a BEAUTIFUL color. I will definitely be back for more piercings in the future :)

A friend and I came here for some piercings. This was the best experience!!! Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The facility is extremely clean, and the people are so sweet and gentle. Rob (a visiting piercer) did mine and he was incredible!!!!! Please keep brining Rob back!!! Such a wonderful time! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

My friend and I went to Lars; I got my helix and she got her nose. We were both a little nervous but Lars talked us through the whole process, before, during and after; even cracking jokes to ease the nerves. I cannot express how kind they were and how calming and safe the environment felt! I know I will be returning to Lucky’s for future piercings :)

Madison did some piercings for me and she is AMAZING! She worked with me and my anxiety! Answered all of my questions even before my appointment and during! She helped me feel comfortable and at ease.I just got my nostril piercings from Lars too and they are a sweetie pie! Super energetic and worked with me on placements and next steps. Hands down the best spot I’ve been to in Boston over all.The shop is extremely CLEAN! Organized, and so open! There’s comfortable seating, a TON of jewelry and people to answer your questions on all the pieces! They are amazing! I will never go anywhere else for anything! I’ll be a lifelong customer ❣️

Lars pierced my flat and upper lobe incredibly! They were informative, gentle, and made me wicked comfortable. Loved the big selection of jewelry as well. Highly recommend!

Best experience piercing so far! Had a mix-up on my end with my appointment date a few months ago - Lars was accommodating and fit me in between their other appointments for a jewelry change. Came in again today to have another nose piercing with Lars, they were incredibly informative, professional, and overall kind! The front desk staff was also resourceful in picking out new jewellery. Looking forward to coming back and definitely recommend.

Went in for a walk in with Caitlin. Who Im going to go back and work with on a bigger piece with. She was so lovely! My mom and I got matching tattoos. It was both of our first tats. Love Caitlins work and how easy to talk to she is!

The place is so cute and pretty! I love the art hanging up inside. Everyone is very nice and friendly, and they are thorough with information which is very comforting. They have a pretty jewelry selection. I got 3 piercings done with Heather and she was amazing. She explained everything, answered all my questions and all piercings were pretty much painless! Would definitely recommend/go back!

I had an amazing experience tonight at Lucky’s! I made a cartilage piercing appointment and when I showed up the woman at the front desk helped me pick the best jewelry for my piercing. She was very knowledgeable and was very clear about pricing, healing times, and potential risks. The store itself is very tidy and trendy looking inside, and the individual rooms are clean. You can tell they take cleanliness seriously- not just in Covid Times. My piercer Clinton was SO sweet and gentle! Very accommodating and kind. Piercing went smoothly and I felt very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this place for piercings, and I’ve seen amazing tattoos from the artists there as well!!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Lucky’s! It was my first piercing and the support and communication I was given by the staff was second to none. Shoutout to Lars who did my piercing, they are incredibly professional and kind. I felt so happy with my decision to get a piercing done and would go there again! I have also gotten a tattoo here and loved that experience as well.

I had a fantastic experience at Luckys! I went in for a daith piercing, but was a bit concerned about having smaller ear anatomy and being susceptible to infection. Lars, my piercer, was extremely transparent about what they thought the best options would be for me based on my anatomy. They were also so warm-hearted, kind, and comforting throughout the entire process. They even gave me a stress ball to squeeze, if I needed it! My nerves about it were pretty much gone just after speaking to them. I knew I was in good hands! The front desk staff was also so helpful when it came to picking out jewelry and guiding me through that process. Additionally, the shop itself was extremely clean and well-kept with reminders throughout not to touch or remove jewelry and to avoid transferring germs across surfaces. You can tell they value piercing and tattooing in a clean, safe environment. Highly recommend and will be coming back for more piercings in the future!

I don’t like the lasting effects of COVID on this business. I wanted to walk in and see what basic stainless steel captive bead rings, industrial bars, etc. jewelry they carried so that I could decide if I could pay someone to fit some hardware back into my ears. Did I have an appointment? No. Why would I make one when I just wanted to see what hardware they carried? Apparently there are “too many sizes” to consider, which is why I need an appointment to discuss. What a bunch of nonsense. I had to mask up just to enter. The jewelry up front is shimmering bling for teenage girls. I don’t know what happened to the hard culture of tattoo/piercing parlors, but this place isn’t it. Make business simple again.

I went to Luckys today for the first time and got my septum pierced. Heather was my piercer and she was amazing!!! Super friendly and very professional. She talked me through the process and made sure I was comfortable before piercing. It the quickest, easiest process and I didnt feel a thing! I cant believe it took me this long to find this business and its a shame I havent been getting all of my piercings here all this time, I will never get pierced anywhere else again! I live about an hour away and it was absolutely worth the trip. 10/10 would recommend :)

Love this place! Lars is über rad!! They did my septum piercing and it was the easiest, most painless piercing of the many many piercings Ive had. So quick and absolutely wonderful placement. I fell in love immediately and everyone i know is shocked i havent had it for years, it fits so well on/with my face! Also the jewelry they have here is *BOMB* so be prepared to want to purchase brand new everything 😄

I absolutely love it here. 🥰 so much. I genuinely feel so taken care of whenever I go here-and not just taken care of, but cared for. The environment is very clean, but not like weirdly sterile. (Even though everything is very sterile!) What I mean is that the vibes are exactly right. Its easy to feel comfortable when youre here, to put it well. When I was waiting to get my latest piercing, they even put out little snacks!!!! Like what?!?!? Thank youu 😍😍. Its little things like that, that can entirely change an already pretty great experience into an absolutely amazing one, and everyone at Luckys does an incredible job at harnessing those details.So, environment? 10/10. 12/10, even. From the moment you walk in to the memories gained after heading out.The piercers! The skills are through the roof, and the talent even more so! The personalities are strong as well, and so much fun to be around! Absolutely angelic and always graceful, Ive gotten all my piercings done here besides my ears cuz I did them at home when I was young lol. Its without a blink to state that I wont be going anywhere else to get piercings as long as I live in Boston. You can put full trust into every one of the piercers here. I love this place! They made me feel comfortable and welcomed. My piercer Lars was amazing. They informed me of what was happening before it happened during the piercing process. I got a septum piercing and there was very little pain. The staff were very kind and understanding. It was a very safe and welcoming space and I felt that my health and safety were prioritized. I will definitely be coming back to this place in the future!

Getting pierced by Lars was one of the most positive piercing experiences of my life. They are incredibly kind, soothing, and skilled. I barely felt anything during the piercing or the subsequent jewelry change. If you have any nerves or are looking for a first piercing, I could not recommend Lars enough.

Scheduling an appointment at Luckys was super easy, and all of the staff that helped me were very very helpful. Unfortunately the appointment did not go the way I had hoped. Although the studio was extremely clean, my piercer didnt pierce me correctly the first time. I went in for a lower lip piercing, and was really anxious already, even though I had had a lot of piercings done before. After the first pierce my piercer informed me that he had not positioned it correctly and the backing of my piercing inside my lip was super high up, and my piercing was pointed down. He then asked if I was comfortable with him basically re- piercing it. I appreciated his honesty and obviously took his advice to re pierce it. Overall it was a disappointing experience that just made me a little stressed out. When you are doing body mods such as piercings or tattoos, it can be really scary to have things not go correctly. I still had to pay full price and was just given a free bottle of saline solution. I was too scared to advocate for myself in the moment, but looking back I should not have had to pay $90 total for a piercing that left me with two holes in my lip.

This is my second time getting pierced at Luckys, but the first at this location. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They were all very knowledgeable about the process and the jewelry available. My piercer, Clinton, was very professional and I was amazed at how little it hurt. My only complaint was finding parkingIf you want a piercing go to Luckys.

I have waited for YEARS to get a nose piercing and finally did it! Luckys was a recommendation from a piercing place my niece went to in Charleston,SC. They are moving up here and it was suggested they go to Luckys. So I made an appointment. I was immediately impressed by the shop! Its bright and nicely decorated, there wasnt a single employee who didnt smile, say hello and everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly! Mimi did my piercing and they were AMAZING! EVERY step explained in detail the entire time beginning to end. Im in love with my new piercing and am confident I will be back...A tattoo is next on my list! 😉💙

I got my navel re-pierced today by Lars after a bad experience at a disreputable shop. They did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. They also made sure to take my anatomy into account to ensure that my piercing was perfect for me and my needs. I cant recommend Luckys and Lars enough!

I’ve only worked with the Boston location, but each time they have given prompt and courteous service. They exceed my expectations and I am so happy with how my ear piercings look! I’ve been pierced here and I often use their jewelry changing service for my more complex ear piercings. Each time I leave thrilled with the experience. They will also act as a conduit for third party orders; if you have dreams for your piercings they will make it happen! I cannot recommend them enough.

I went in to get my first piercings ever, just the lobes. It was a great experience, Madison did a great job making sure all her tools and my ears were clean and sterile. She answered all my questions and the staff at the front desk were great too. I EVEN GOT STICKERS!!! I really will be recommending to friends!

I scheduled my first appointment at Luckys recently for two ear piercings and a jewelry change and it was an A+ experience from the second I walked in. The shop is so incredibly clean and inviting - nice and well-lit which I appreciate. The person who helped me pick out my jewelry was kind, patient, and didnt make me feel pressured to pick higher end items. Lars did my actual piercings and it was truly the BEST experience! They were friendly, funny, and made sure to walk me through each step as it was happening. I will never go anywhere else besides Luckys from now on!

Spencer was awesome! My tattoos came out exactly how I wanted and he was able to take my rough sketch and make it into what I was looking for! Very accommodating to changing the size and placement before getting started and honestly great conversations while he was working. Will 100% come to him again for future tattoos!

I went into Lucky’s for a relatively simple jewelry change in an existing nostril piercing, but the experience was great!! Choosing the new jewelry was great, the person I worked with showed me all of my options and helped me find options I liked within my budget. I had Clinton change my jewelry, and he was great as well! It was a little bit more of a process to get the new ring in, but Clinton was patient, explained everything he was doing, and made me feel super comfortable. 10/10 would recommend!!

Luckys is the best. Everyone from the front counter staff to the piercers themselves are top notch with their clients! I called two days ago panicking because I found out I am going to have surgery and need spacers so my piercings don’t close up, and they got me right in the next day with Madison at the time the shop opened. Madison was awesome at figuring out what I needed without breaking the bank and even got me in for another appt to put my OG piercings back in (which I’m horrible at so that was so appreciated!). I’ve gotten piercings here from Lars before too, and all of my experiences have been phenomenal. They’re all so welcoming and kind, and the quality of service you get is like none other in MA. Could not recommend them more. You’re in great hands here :)

Lars is awesome and made my first ever piercings so easy and pain free!! they were super intuitive and walked me through everything they were doing so there weren’t any surprises. afterwards, they made sure i had instructions for proper aftercare and gave me their information in case i had any questions or problems with healing. booking was easy and straightforward. great selection of high quality jewelry and reasonable prices. (i got a titanium bead for $40 and 2 solid white gold studs for $100 each).definitely recommend!

Got 2 piercings here recently and could not speak more highly of my experience from start to finish. All of the staff immediately made me feel welcome and safe. Beautiful jewelry options and they helped me figure out what would look best with my ear anatomy. The shop was immaculate and sterile techniques followed to a T. Lars did my piercings and they are SO GOOD at what they do! Made me feel so comfortable, talked to me through the entire process and overall it was quick and about as painless as you can get for sticking needles in your ears :) I will absolutely be back!!

I can not say enough good things about this place. It is run like a well oiled machine. From the people on the front end, checking you in and helping you pick out jewelry, to the changing out of old jewelry, and the piercing process itself, every single person was amazing. I felt fully supported and never felt rushed.The place is huge, spotlessly clean (it looks like a high-end doctors office in there), and they have a large selection of high quality jewelry.I got a fifth lobe piercing and a triple helix, I also purchased and had changed jewelry in 4 previous lobe piercings. Clinton did my piercings and was meticulous about getting them exactly where I wanted them and making sure I was happy with the placement before any needles hit the skin, this took a bit of time that he was happy to give me.Ive been to a lot of tattoo and piercing studios in both NYC and Massachusetts and this is by far the most top-notch experience Ive ever had. I am looking forward to going back for more in the very near future!

I had an appointment for a consultation but had to cancel that day because I could not leave my 8 yr old son alone and the girl I was talking to was not very nice about it and had a bit of an attitude.

I had my helix and lobe done here a few months ago; the piercing experience was great overall, though as others have said, the jewelry on offer is more expensive than I might have expected. I was initially told I’d need just one downsize, but I went in for that first downsize a little while ago, had my earring post changed successfully, and was told at the end of that appointment that I would need to make another downsize appointment. I was a little peeved/surprised, but like, okay, they’re the experts, it’s fine.Anyway, I went in today for that second downsize and was told my helix was too swollen to be downsized. That would have been fine, but the piercer’s mode of expressing that was pretty mean—in a sort of accusatory tone she asked if I’d been sleeping on it, to which I said I do toss and turn. But she kept repeating that I’d been sleeping on it. At one point I instinctively reached up to my ear and she said: “Don’t touch it!” sort of aggressively. I didn’t touch the piercing and wasn’t planning to. As I prepared to leave, she said, again, “don’t touch it” in a pretty unkind tone. Up until this point I’d been quiet and not said anything about the tone or content of the interaction, but I was like, “I don’t ever directly touch my piercing”, which is true. She says: “I just saw you!” I was like, “I wasn’t touching my piercing, just instinctively reaching up for my ear” (still very confused as to why she was playing this sort of interrogative role). As I wS leaving, I could tell she felt bad about the interaction, and she said: “It’s a labor of love—you have to be really OCD about not putting pressure on it.” Now, that’s a reasonable thing to say, except the use of the term “OCD” was pretty shocking—OCD is a serious condition, not an adjective meaning “fastidious”, and it’s something I and others suffer from every single day. In an ordinary setting I’d have been like, whatever, old habits die hard, it’s just language, but Lucky’s puts so much effort into inclusivity I was surprised to hear this quite frankly ableist language in their space. Anyway, 2/5 given my past good experiences, but I felt like I had to put this out there.

Least favorite piercing shop i’ve ever been to. not only was the initial employee who checked me in extremely rude and not personable at all, but she made me feel very guilty for arriving a minute past my appointment time. the actual professional that pierced my septum was not confident in their skills, they took a long time to actually do the piercing, repeating things over and over again. they didn’t let me choose my size ring and im super unhappy with the size, it’s way too big. would not go back here.

Luckys was very clean and professional. I liked how the workers at the front desk applied social distancing rules (making sure everyone has a mask and sanitizes their hands) before coming in. The front desk workers also made sure to ask what your pronouns are which is very inclusive! They were very helpful in assisting me in choosing jewelry (I was very indecisive). I had my triples and helix done with Clinton and he is very sweet! I liked how he made sure to announce every step when giving me my piercings, it eased the nervousness off my shoulders. Would recommend to anyone looking to get piercings done.

I went to Lucky’s to get some new piercings and finally get my helix done (for a third time) after going to the kiosks at the mall. I had Clinton and he was amazing. He was very detailed in his aftercare explanation and walked me through his process with each piercing. He was very kind and very welcoming. The overall experience was extremely positive. I got a conch piercing at Luckys and it was a perfect experience. Everyone was so friendly, kind, and helpful. Clinton pierced my ear and it was practically painless. He made me feel safe and cared for. Its definitely not cheap, but in my opinion, the quality of the expertise and jewelry used was well worth it.Also, everyone used gender neutral pronouns for me since I didnt share my pronouns, so a very queer-affirming space!

I went to Luckys to have my nosering jewelry swapped out. The staff were very friendly, the environment was clean and welcoming, and the jewelry selection was well beyond my expectations. I found a textured ring that I love and was unlike anything I had seen before. I was brought back immediately, the jewelry change was quick and comfortable, and I was very happy with the service. I would highly recommend Luckys!

Lars is the best! Its a very comfortable and safe environment for everyone, but as a queer person I really felt at home. Appreciate everyone there. . . . They were especially kind when I missed my appointment and had to reschedule. I’ve worked with Caleb Colpitts twice now and I’ve had nothing but stellar experiences with him. So so talented! My loose descriptions of my end goal always end up even more spectacular than i could have imagined.

Everyone was incredibly professional. The people behind the counter were very helpful and patient when I was picking out my jewelry! The shop was super clean and very spacious. Lars was my piercer and they were fantastic. They explained every step of the process and did multiple check ins throughout the process to make sure I was doing okay; which I really appreciated! Everyone was wonderful there - would definitely go back!!

I got my ear curated by Tara & Lars & got the pierced & installed by Lars and LET ME TELL YOU! They are such wonderful people. Very kind, open minded, and fun. They both have great style & gave me their opinions on each piece, as well as helped me figure out which would look best on my ear while also fitting my style. They have great quality jewelry & such a professional but fun presence. I will for sure return and recommend Lucky’s to anyone who wants to get pierced or curated! Such a fun experience :)

The front desk staff was very rude. I thought it was because I was late, but reading the reviews it seems that its just what it is. She wasnt nice to me until I paid $170 on top of the $150 that I had already paid. I felt rushed when having to choose mh jewerly as I was asked to not stand in the jewelry area for about 30 minutes of the appointment I guess waiting for Clinton to be ready. Clinton was very professional at his job. Front desk was kinda mean and I thought it was my fault. I ended up with two big pieces of jerwerly that were super expensive as I was not advised of prices or what all I was being charged. I will be more assertive when I come in for my replacement. I was hoping to get a tattoo at this shop but the energy here was a complete turn off. I will complete my piercing process but I would not recommend it if you are looking for a warm, nice and calm environment.

I had my first piercing at the Cambridge location and I could not be happier with my experience. The building is extremely clean and the front desk staff went over all prices beforehand and were extremely friendly. My piercer Clinton was professional, friendly, and comforting. Since it was my first piercing I was very nervous and he made sure I was feeling okay during the entire appointment. My septum piercing was completely painless! (and I have a very low pain tolerance!!) I cannot recommend this place enough!!

I have been going to Luckys for my piercings since I first moved to Boston a few years ago! Ive had my septum, daith, conch, and helix(es) pierced here, and every experience has been fantastic.The folks at the counter are always so, so helpful in picking out jewelry, and the piercers are always professional and make the process super easy. I have also been tattooed here, and that experience was also great. They make their sterilization very visible, and I have always felt confident in my health and safety being prioritized.After having gone in during COVID, I think they do an excellent job of exercising caution and care with appointments. I felt very comfortable with the number of people in the shop, mask wearing policy, and cleanliness.

My appointment was cancelled the day prior do to my piercer being out sick. I came to the studio the day my appointment had been to reschedule, and they managed to fit me in anyway. The desk staff was really helpful and friendly. I had my nipples pierced by Clinton. He was warm and professional. I never felt uncomfortable. He explained the whole process before as well as throughout the piercings. A little pricey, but based on the cleanliness and quality of the studio and services, it was worth it. I will definitely be going back to luckys for more body modification.

I really enjoyed my experience at Luckys! The staff were all very helpful and professional. I scheduled an appointment to re-pierce my ears after I thought my holes had closed up, but as soon as Madison started prepping me, she noticed right away that she could actually reopen my existing piercing with some simple tools. This saved me the expense and the hassle of caring for an unnecessary piercing, which was a super nice surprise. Clearly she knew what she was doing! The shop was very clean and COVID conscious, and its a great bonus to have private rooms for each client (which is unique in my experience compared to other tattoo/piercing shops). The jewelry was more expensive than I was anticipating, but I imagine thats due to my own ignorance more than anything - its also worth it to have high-quality materials. I would definitely come here again for another piercing and would recommend this place to others.

I havent been pierced at Luckys yet, but I will definitely be coming back for future piercings! I had my nostril and helix pierced at other parlors and had bad experiences there so I was looking for a new parlor to go to get advice on healing my piercings/changing jewelry. The staff at Luckys were extremely helpful in picking out new jewelry that would be non-irritating. I had a nostril piercing that had a persistent bump for up to a year after the initial piercing. Whenever I would go back to my original piercer and ask how to make the bump go away they were very dismissive and told me to just stop using face wash (I wasnt). When I went to Luckys the staff helped me pick out new jewelry for my nostril and showed me how to change it. After swapping out that jewelry my piercing bump went away in 4 months. I came back to Luckys to get my nose stud changed to a hoop (after my nose piercing *finally* healed) and I had another great experience! Madison did a great job swapping out my jewelry.

I’ve been to Lucky’s twice, and I can’t recommend it enough! I’ve had 4 piercings done, all with great success. I’ve seen Clinton and Lars, who are both amazing. Everyone there makes you feel cared for and they thoroughly answer all of your questions. Love Lucky’s!

Great people! I booked with Lars for a nose piercing and they were very communicative, friendly, and clear! Couldnt have asked for a better experience. Luckys staff was also very accommodating of all my questions and patient with all my jewelry change requests, great place with people that really know what theyre doing and care.

I had 0 piercings before today. My appointment was for 5; both ears, my septum, and.... the girls lol. The front desk staff were kind about showing me things in my budget and even gave me a total before my appointment started. Lars was my piercer and they were so amazing!! They walked me through everything regardless of how small it was. They were super upbeat and excited about the whole process and made me feel good about asking questions. I mentioned to Lars I was moving to another state and they took the time write down a recommendation for who to see. I highly recommend anyone looking to get work done to go here!! 1000000/10!!

My 10 year old daughter got her lobes pierced at Luckys. It was her first piercing and she was extremely nervous. Our experience could not have been better. We came prior to booking our appointment and she were able to look around and ask a ton of questions. Everyone we spoke to was so kind and patient and warm. Lindsay did her piercing and had the perfect patient and calming demeanor. I would highly recommend Luckys to anyone getting a piercing.

I cannot recommend Lucky’s enough! I’ve had 9 ear piercings and my bellybutton done before and Lucky’s was by far the best out of any place I’ve ever been to. Jordan was extremely professional and personable, and made me feel very at ease (I’ve never pierced my nose before so I was a bit nervous). They also provided all the after care information that I was concerned about, and the prices were reasonable. 10/10!

I went with my girlfriend to get her lip pierced and was super excited as I have lip piercings myself and found them to be one of my least painful piercings. She came out shaking and showed me that her piercing had originally gone straight through the top of her lip instead of below and it was absolutely painful for her. They re-pierced it but still made her pay $90 which is what I paid for 2 lip piercings with no issues at a piercing place that was extremely professional. Really disappointing and sad experience. I know everyone makes mistakes in every profession but to than make her pay full price after is mind blowing.

I had an amazing experience with my piercer, Madison, yesterday! She was super sweet and made me feel very comfortable throughout the process (I got two love piercings in my left ear). She walked me through the whole process and answered all my questions. The front desk staff were also great, giving great advice and service for jewelry selection. 10/10 would definitely go back for future piercings, and I highly recommend Madison for your piercing needs!

Clinton and his apprentice, Keith, created a really calming and supportive space for me to get my septum pierced! Clinton was patient, skilled, and explained each and every step. I really appreciate his attention to detail in getting my piercing placed just right.

Everyone here is so welcoming, friendly and professional!I got tattooed by Ash and they did amazing and vibrant work, and were very attentive making sure I was comfortable and happy through the whole process.Absolutely loved the atmosphere here, and the shop is very clean and lovely. I also felt like their covid protocols were good and everyone there was wearing a mask which I so appreciated.Also, there is a public parking lot right around the corner on Green St which was super convenient. Ill be back for more pieces from Ash for sure :)

Madison did a great job!! Went in for a septum piercing (my first piercing ever) and was “Lucky” to have her. Bedside manner was ACES, she made me feel super comfortable, and handled my deviated septum like a champ. Professional as heck and clearly loves her job!Nic was lovely as well, gave great advice on what jewelry would look good, covered everything I needed to know about the different styles, and was courteous and professional the whole time.

Clinton is such a professional, and was not just amazing during the piercing appointment, but also has provided answers and guidance months after as well regarding healing/aftercare, advice, and sizing up. Thank you for all that you do! 10/10 recommend.

I have gotten both tattooing and piercing services at Lucky’s and every visit has been nothing but a wonderful experience. The counter staff are all so friendly and respectful, and helpful picking out jewelry for piercings! And the piercers and tattooers make my dreams come true, and they’re all so nice. Truly don’t have enough good things to say about Lucky’s, but I can’t wait to go back. :)

Maddison and her Apprentice Juliet are amazing! Maddison has done three piercings for me now, a Tragus, Vertical Labret and VCH. She and the studio are extremely LGBTQA+ friendly and also SA survivor friendly as well. Maddison let me know what was happening every step of the way and when she would be touching where. They had no problem accommodating my request for a female identifying piercer and verified with me it was okay before Juliet joined. Maddison has always been available to answer questions outside of the piecing appointments. They are both super fun to be around and very fun! The studio is very nice, clean and super hygienic. Highly recommended and will totally be going back for all future piercings.

Ive been to Luckys several times now for tattoo, piercing, and jewelry change services and I dont think Ill ever go anywhere else! The folx that work here are incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The space is welcoming and clean. From my conversations with the staff it sounds like the ownership/management really walk the walk, - they have created a super queer competent space, with talented artists and staff, and always prioritize the safety of staff and clients.I most recently worked with Lars and Kelsey, on some new ear piercings and jewelry, and they are both WONDERFUL. They were a blast to work with. The jewelry selection is great. Cant wait to go back again soon!!

I got my first tattoo ever done with Caleb Colpitts at Luckys Cambridge location. Their space is very clean and organized and all staff members were very professional. Caleb, in particular, was extraordinarily patient and explained every step of the process very clearly - this made the process seem very manageable and predictable, even though it was my first tattoo.I was a little nervous about getting a tattoo without being able to consult with the artist in person, but Caleb was extremely thorough and responsive throughout our email communications. The designs were very well thought out and greatly exceeded my expectations. The tattoos themselves came out absolutely beautiful. I was also offered the opportunity to give my opinion on design and placement throughout the process - it certainly felt like Caleb was making a genuine effort to ensure my comfort (even asking if there was any music in particular Id like to listen to throughout the session) and satisfaction with the outcome. At no point did the process seem rushed and I felt completely comfortable making requests or giving suggestions. Everything from the decor to the staff, and of course the final tattoos, made this an incredibly enjoyable experience.The friends Ive shown my tattoos to have all praised their intricate and carefully placed details and their artistry. I could probably look at them all day. There is no pain nor soreness and they seem to be healing very well. I would strongly recommend Luckys and Caleb to anyone looking to get a tattoo, even if it is their first one.

This is the only piercing place to go in Boston! I had a great experience all around. Highest-quality materials and advice, and the environment is safe and welcoming. Lars talked me through the piercing process every step of the way. Sam helped me pick out some beautiful pieces from their incredible selection, Nic knows everything. They are pretty busy right now so be sure you reserve enough shopping time for your appointment.

My piercer Mimi was so sweet! They told me everything they were doing at the moment to make me feel secure. We even had a lot of small talks which was very enjoyable! The piercing was quick and painless and they explained after care really nicely. Would definitely recommend this place for helix piercings and would recommend Mimi as well.

I called about some basic jewelry I wanted to purchase and I wanted to look around for some nicer stuff was told I didnt need an appointment. When I went in I felt extremely rushed and didnt get a chance to get everything I came in for. I was more than happy to make an appointment too I dont understand what the problem was.

I came here for a conch piercing. A bit pricey, but at least you know youre paying to get it done right. My piercer was Clinton and he was the best part about my visit. He listened to what I wanted and made sure I was comfortable and happy with the placement and everything.The low rating is due to the staff at the front desk. I felt rushed with my appointment and the woman seemed to want as little interaction as possible. She couldnt even directly address me when it came time to pay and seemed irritated when I needed her to repeat herself because I didnt know she was even talking to me. I probably wont go back, but the piercing looks great

I had a great experience getting pierced here. Lars pierced my earlobes and my nipples and they did a great job of making me feel relaxed and calm beforehand. The staff at the front were also friendly and helped me pick out my jewelry. I would highly recommend Lucky’s!

Lucky’s came highly recommended to me, and I wasn’t disappointed. Madison was so sweet and professional. I got a new daith piercing and Madison must have some sort of magic because I barely felt it, I felt the toothpick she used to mark my ear more than I did the actual piercing. The placement is perfect, it sits really nicely in my ear. I had an existing helix piercing updated as well and I was helped to find the right jewelry, it looks so much better now. The shop itself is quite nice, and their covid precautions made me feel protected. I will definitely be going back. Thanks Madison and team!

Back when Lucky’s was only in North Hampton, I used to drive all the way there from Boston for piercings. Much to my joy, they opened a second shop in Boston. I have been getting piercings here since it opened. Like every other Lucky’s location, cleanliness, kindness, and professionalism is above all else. The front desk staff (Nic especially) are all tremendously kind and knowledgeable. All piercers are professional and go above and beyond to ensure the client is safe and satisfied. I am so happy Lucky’s is now in Boston as well, but if it meant having to drive over an hour to get piercings again, I’d do it. They are absolutely worth it.

I went to Luckys the other day to get my Conch piercing, Lars was so personable and great I felt so supported and aware of what was happening during the piercing. Talk about a fun person to be around! On top of that, the human who helped me pick out jewelry initially before the piercing (I believe their name was Jo) was so thoughtful and patient with me, they actually helped me choose my piece. Overall, Luckys is the best and I cant imagine going anywhere else.

I had a transformative experience with my piercing at Luckys. I worked with Clinton for something that I knew was a bit a unusual: a series of 7 anchors in a zig-zag pattern on either side of a surgical scar. These were also my first piercings, so I was new to some of the terminology and best practices. Not only was Clinton knowledgeable and answered every question I had for him (and I asked a lot, because... I am the kind of nerd who does that), he was incredible at checking in with me during the session.Luckys itself was not just as clean and sterile as youd expect from such a well-regarded business, but a comfortable and inviting environment as well. The front desk staff were also amazing, welcoming even when I was self-conscious about my novice questions.I highly recommend Luckys, and cant wait for my next appointment!

Won’t go anywhere else for piercings now. The whole shop is so clean, feels very safe during covid, and just in general. I’ve seen Heather twice and she’s done a beautiful job on both my ears, great placement and she makes it pretty quick and painless, and visibly sterilizes everything.
