Pleasantly surprised about how my visit turned out. The receptionist was super sweet and greeted me as soon as I got in there by name. I originally came in for just a consultation and within 15 minutes of talking to Dr. Andy I was on the table getting my treatment. I was extremely happy about how affordable it turned out to be as well. So far a very pleasant experience.

The best laser hair removal in town. I recommend Smooth Skin to all of my clients, friends and family :)I got lasered at a different spa many years ago and it just didn’t work on my skin. The hair kept coming back. A friend later referred me to Smooth Skin and I ended up buying their package. 8 sessions later almost all of the unwanted hair was gone!!!! The laser makes a huge difference and these folks know what they’re doing!

I received treatment for clean up around the edges of a tattoo. Dr. MacFarlan was very personable. The procedure was quick, relatively painless, and inexpensive. My tattoo looks a thousand times better. I am very appreciative of this service.

Well, I have to say I am super super impressed with this place! I was super anxious to have any type of laser done but signed up to have the Picosure done to remove some skin tags and sun spots. Dr Andy was so so kind and understanding of my anxiety, I wish he could be my regular doctor =) The procedure is gentle and requires a few visits but I would hands down rather have that than some of the other options out there were it feels like your skin is being burned off. Not really my thing. In addition he recommended several very affordable options for skincare that are proving to be helpful. Highly recommended!

Ok let me start by first saying I’ve tried laser hair removal at other places and it hurt so badly I could barely make it through a session… and after all that I didn’t see results. I booked with Brett and let me tell you… totally different experience! Brett is an amazing person and just incredible at what she does. I was able to get through 5 sessions like a breeze and actually looked forward to going to them. The place is clean, the people there are kind and best of all… IT WORKED. Wonderful staff is lightly putting it. They are beyond wonderful and caring. I couldn’t feel more comfortable which is weird to say when your more exposed than ever. Very relaxed atmosphere, which I believe is due to a reflection of the staff. They have the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Go! You won’t regret it.

Dr. Andy is very personable. I was relaxed right from start. All of the staff are very friendly. Will be returning for more PicoSure procedure. On a chart of pain , mostly 1 or 2. Only for a few seconds. Did feel like a bad sunburn after procedure. Aloe help a lot. Only felt burn for 30 min.

Smooth skin laser has been one of the best investments I made for myself. The office is comforting and warm, the staff I always look forward to seeing and make me feel so comfortable and I genuinely enjoy my sessions. My hair is gone after my package and my skin is so smooth! My razor bumps and in-grown hairs are completely gone. Like a babys bottom, definitely obsessed. I recommend.

Smooth Skin Laser has easily been the best decision I’ve made when it comes to prioritizing my health and beauty. The office staff is so friendly and professional! Brinn is absolutely amazing at what she does and I am so thankful I decided to take the leap with laser hair removal. I just finished my 3rd treatment and I already see amazing results! Nothing but amazing things to say!! I won a raffle and received a package of 3 underarm treatments. I had a great experience from the moment I walked in -- the office is cute and all of the employees are so nice and welcoming. I had no idea what to expect but each session took all of 5 minutes and there was very little discomfort. After my first session I was shocked that I had almost no hair growth anymore. After the second session I had zero hair growth, zero bumps, and zero discoloration and the third session just secured those same results. HIGHLY recommend!!

Of course it hurt, getting the tatywas more painful. I was willing to go through much worse to erase a symbol that was both inappropriate and offensive. Will further update with the final results.

The staff I worked with was wonderful. I am disappointed with my results everywhere except my underarms. I didnt expect complete hair removal, but my legs remain very hairy. The top of my feet and toes are unphased. I have dark hair and light skin. I really expected better results. I mentioned to the technician my legs are still really hairy. My daughter who has similar skin tone and amount of body hair had much better result. She went to a different facility.

Smooth Skin Laser has changed my life. After only one session I saw significant hair loss to the point where shaving my underarms and bikini became an afterthought. Not only are the technicians extremely knowledgeable about their practice, they are also very good at making sure you feel comfortable during your sessions. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Karen was amazing! The machine here is so new and effective that it really makes a difference if you’ve had treatments previously at other businesses. There was noticeably less pain and the results were visibly better. I typically needed to apply aloe after my treatments before trying Smooth Skin Laser, but this time was literally a breeze and didn’t require any post-treatment attention (aside from regular washing/exfoliating in the shower). I will absolutely be back!

If I could rate this place 10 stars I would!!! I couldnt ask for a better team of women to help me with my hair removal. The office is so cozy - not at all like a doctors office!!! It is decorated so well and the vibe is very comfortable. The staff also helps to make it more comfortable. I am sure most people are uncomfortable showing how hairy they are - but this group really makes you feel like its no big deal. I have had all sorts of areas done on my body and never once have I felt squeamish at all. They are experts, do this all the time, and its obvious that they have seen it all and nothing bothers/offends them. The staff is also very friendly. Even though I wouldnt mind waiting because the office is so cozy, I have never once had to really wait. They are so efficient with their time. I personally hate waiting long at medical offices. I know many people start to get paranoid - not here! You are seen right away. Also they have been very accommodating because I have a 1 year old baby (he was 2 months when I had my first appointment) and they were so tolerate of me. I could not arrange for childcare for these appointments, so I had to bring my kid and they did not give me a hard time AT ALL. I really appreciate that. I would recommend this group again and again! I sing their praises to my friends and family, as well as my clients (I am in the wedding business - and think EVERY bride should go get lasered for her honeymoon!!)If you have ever considered laser, I would go see them for a free consult ASAP!

When looking at some photos taken at my daughters wedding, I was struck by how nasty the brown age/sun spots on the sides of my face were. Carrie and Andy did an amazing job of making them go away! There is no other place as detailed and precise as this business! when I say that every hair is removed... I mean every single individual hair is zapped off! Im military and I have frequent many different laser facilities and this one beats out every single office ive ever been too! The place is clean, professional, and every tech knows exactly what they are doing! Im currently getting a brazilian done and they make me feel so comfortable and I swear my hair is almost gone. Before Covid hit i was getting my removal done by someone else and I would always leave feeling like she didnt get it all. So I decided to try out SSL and im so glad I did. I mean not only do they get every inch, but they go over it just to make sure they didnt miss an area. I wish i would have found this place sooner. But Im glad Im here now.

I had stubborn hair on my chin that I refused to get waxed because I refused to deal with it forever, plucking was okay but then that even got to be too much and I never knew if someone was looking at my chin. So, I called Smooth Laser went in for a free consultation, paid for my sessions (which is very reasonable, I thought for sure it was going to be expensive). Carrie was so awesome, I had a few of the other ones too, everyone was great!! But its finally gone- if youve been on the fence do it you will be happy!!! It wasnt painful and now I have no hair to be self conscious about!

I was burnt extremely bad, and the ladies there acted like I wasnt burnt at all needless to say I will never go back to that one.Smooth skin and laser is by far the best in the area. So far I have had my bikini area, underarms, lower legs and face done. The difference is incredible. Being able to just hop into the shower, soap up and do my hair without worrying about shaving is a great feeling. The staff is very personable and I have really bonded with my technician Jan. I am going to have to find other areas to do just to go back in there and hang out with them again.

I cannot say enough good things about Smooth Skin laser!!First off, let me say that I am olive skin, with dark hair and dark eyebrows; if grown out, the hair on my legs looked like a mans! I have always been a waxer, and had looked into laser several years ago when I lived up in DC. I decided against it at that time b/c 1., it was very expensive up there; and 2., I was told that it might not be effective with my skin tone/hair consistency.But, on the recommendation of a friend, I set an appointment with Smooth Skin. The first appointment was just a consultation with Carrie; I love her! She was very candid with me and told me that she thought my hair quality would be susceptible to the laser BUT, it might take more than just 5 treatments (I was interested in a 5-session package they were offering at the time). I sincerely appreciated the honesty.Additionally, the cost of the treatments was completely reasonable; I did the math, and they laser treatments would pay for themselves in 14 months if I continued to wax!!So, I signed up and the results have been AMAZING!!! My hair growth was SIGNIFICANTLY reduced after just the first session (and in some areas didnt grow back at all); and now after 5 sessions, my legs look perfect - I dont have to worry about throwing on a dress for fear of hair on my legs. Based off the success of my legs, I have also signed up for my lip and my bikini - all showing great results after the first couple of treatments.I will also comment that it is NOT as painful as I thought it was going to be. Lets be honest - waxing is not fun or pleasant, and the laser is a bit uncomfortable. But, what would take 45-60 minutes with waxing is done in 15-20 minutes with the laser.So, all in all, I am completely satisfied with my experience at Smooth Skin laser. Both Carrie and Lexi are awesome; the prices are affordable (and dare I say cheap compared to NoVa!); and my results are fantastic!! If you are at all interested in laser hair removal, I recommend scheduling an appointment today!!

After contemplating laser hair removal for nearly a decade, I finally took the plunge and am so thankful I did so with Smooth Skin Laser. Aside from the professionalism and general kindness I experienced at the clinic, I was most impressed with the machine itself. Unlike other clinics, SSL uses a medical-grade machine that has a cooling function which minimizes pain. I have a moderate pain tolerance and I can only imagine what it would feel like without that cooling mechanism (eek!).This is a LIFE-ALTERING experience because it saves me so much time in the shower and I no longer have to battle ingrown hairs. I had my armpits, bikini line and upper lip done. Post-treatment, I experienced no itching, pain, or change in pigmentation, with only a minimal amount of redness for two days. Within a week my hair was no longer growing back and I havent had to shave for days. Ive tried waxing in the past and it was more painful with over half the shelf-life. My hair grows fast and I shave my armpits daily. After only one session my skin is smooth and hair-free. Ill have to return for several more follow-up sessions, but thanks to the great care I received at SSL, I eagerly anticipate it instead of dreading it.Carrie has a talent for multi-tasking: she performed excellent laser care while simultaneously distracting me with good conversation. Before I knew it, the treatment was over. I believe this talent stems from the fact that SSL focuses on hair removal and hair removal alone, unlike other clinics and spas that provide an assortment of services, potentially making them less proficient at a single one. The women at SSL are experts at hair removal and I whole-heartedly give them fives stars.
