Dermacare of Hampton Roads

I have been a client at Dermacare for many years. I have been fortunate enough to try many of the services that they offer as well as being a member. Their membership offers discounts on products and treatments. All of the staff is extremely professional. The environment is clean and relaxing. I have seen many members of the staff but the ones I see most often are Sharon and Trisha. I highly recommend Dermacare!

You can really see the difference between the before and after, especially in the forehead with the acne treatment plan I had with dermacare. The staff were always friendly when I came in, and my practitioner Trisha Sheehan was always a delight to talk to and get skin advice from. From the before photo with the green shirt, to the after photo with the blue polo, face acne has gone down quite a bit. Trisha always gave me the best treatments that she thought were right for that day, as we saw a lot of success with the chemical peels and the light therapy above some of the other options, she guided the best decision for my skin.The products they gave me as well, I wrote them down on a sheet and put it on my bathroom wall.Over the course of 6 months, I was able to feel confident again, not having to wear makeup on camera anymore, and having to edit my photos for social less thanks to clearer skin.Highly considering going back for other treatments they offer, theyre a great group of people, and now really good friends.

I had a Diamond Glow treatment done by Trisha S. and it was absolutely amazing! I was greeted warmly by the staff, who took extra care to make sure they knew my skincare needs. The treatment was so relaxing and Trisha walked me through what she was doing, which was very helpful. My skin looked so smooth and healthy when I was done. Trisha also gave me great recommendations for products based on my specific skin type. Using those products has made a world of difference. Definitely check out Dermacare for all of your medical spa needs !!

Dermacare is my favorite place on earth! I am a member and get the pleasure of being able to get a service provided every month, plus discounts on their products! I have been going to Whitney for years for my Botox/fillers and Amber for my variety of facial treatments! I would be lost with out both of them! They take the time to listen to any concerns & always provide me with suggestions & guidance to give me the best results possible! I cannot recommend them enough! Make an appointment with them- you will never be disappointed! (The front desk staff is also top notch! Always friendly & professional!!)

I seriously love Dermacare. Every treatment Ive had there has been wonderful, and the providers Ive had (Heather, Tricia, Sharon) are knowledgeable and take their time explaining what they are doing, what their process is, etc. I drive two hours from our of town for laser hair appointments and facials, and its 100% worth it. The front desk staff are always friendly when I come in, and the work theyve done on the facility is impressive. Cant recommend enough!

I have been going to dermacare for four years now and see Heather. My skin has never looked better, I get so many compliments! Going monthly as a member has done wonders for my skin and I don’t have any problem areas or the issues I had before. And Heather is awesome, the hour with her is not only a skincare treatment but I joke it’s a little therapy session too. We have the best conversations! She truly loves what she does and it shows!

Dermacare is amazing! I don’t trust my skin care with any other medical spa. The front desk ladies are very polite and helpful. The providers there are very professional and knowledgeable and make me feel comfortable anytime I visit. They have some of the newest equipment for multiple types of treatments. Their office is clean and relaxing. As long as I live in the Hampton roads area, there is no other medical spa I’d ever want to go to more than Dermacare!

I have been meaning to write this review for a very long time, and I’m embarrassed it has taken me so long to do so. I have been a patient at Dermacare for over four years, and I’m so thankful for the entire team! The level of customer service far exceeds other places I have visited, and the front desk ladies are the best in the business. I always feel welcomed, and am treated professionally and with kindness.Ive done several different laser and aesthetic treatments at Dermacare with many different providers over the years. Each treatment and provider have been so helpful in rejuvenating my skin. My most recent treatment was a Diamond Glo with Trisha S. After going through chemo for some time, my skin was dry and dull. Trisha’s skill and expertise brought it back to life, and I can’t wait to see her again.Bottom line… once you give Dermacare a chance, you will be a patient forever.

Very clean and comfortable place with great staff. My main gripe is being a melanated woman wanting to get laser hair removal. I was told they have the lasers for darker skin but my treatments didn’t take. I did full treatment packages for my chin, underarms, and Brazilian. About 2-3 months after my final sessions for my chin & underarms, the hairs started growing back. I didn’t have much to begin with. I just wanted to stop plucking the few strands I had on my chin because it was creating brown spots. Now I’m back to plucking. I was just being lazy about shaving my underarms, but I had to start back doing that as well. I did two full treatment packages for my Brazilian. There was never a time that the hair was mostly gone, except for when I shaved before my treatments.Great place, but not for laser hair removal on darker skin.

I first started seeing Amber at Dermacare over a year ago. She is professional and knowledgeable. I never realized that I had sensitive skin. Amber has taken the time and interest to make sure that I receive appropriate skin care. I trust her completely and it is one appointment that I always look forward to.

The best in the industry! So far, I have had treatments with Heather, Sharon, and Carrie, and all are truly experts in their fields! The location is very clean and hygienic, and the front desk does an excellent job with communication both pre and post appointment

I had been to four different beauty bars prior to finding DermacareHR. At other places, I felt that my concerns were never taken seriously and the staff was overly pushy about their products or treatments that weren’t right for my skin. I have never had that experience at Dermacare. Everyone is exceptional. Additionally, all of the products they sell contain only clean ingredients so you can be sure to get the most out of the products without having adverse effects from harmful additives. I love being a patient at Dermacare and would recommend it to anyone!

Carrie is an amazing skin laser professional. She explains the entire procedure to me before we begin (and again when I am getting the same treatment but a year later), she is concerned about my well being during the procedure and takes great care to make sure I am all set when it is done. I highly recommend her services.

Dermacare is the best! Don’t trust your skin to anyone else. The providers are very professional, knowledgeable and most important they are not pushy. They have the newest equipment and the office is very clean. I’ve had many services from all the providers and they’re all amazing. I’m a Dermacare girl for life!

Trish is the best! Ive been going here for several years and am very pleased. Clean facility, no wait time, and lots of non-surgical options. Trish has fabulous bedside manner and is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. Ive had both Botox and fillers with little to no bruises or swelling. The office makes follow up calls the next day, which I appreciate. I highly recommend Dermacare and Trish in particular.

I came across this place on Instagram. I decided to schedule a consultation with them which was done over video chat and was very convenient. The consultation was also free.I met with a nurse who evaluated my problems and educated me on what I should get treated. She put together notes to make my in office visit quick and easy. I really like how professional they are as medical professionals and not as most cosmetic professionals who dont consider health factors and putting together a health & physical.On the day of my in-person appointment, upon arrival they took me into one of the nurses office to continue my consultation and take pictures of my problem areas. All information was added on to my record. They had also scheduled me for a chemical peel.The lady who did my chemical peel was so sweet and informative. She was so patient with me. In fact, all the staff members were just so helpful and sweet. Every time I call for scheduling or questions they are just so kind. Their customer service is out of this world.I also love that they have memberships, monthly specials and new member discounts. Just so many ways to save money while obtaining skin care services.Come check out Dermacare for your skin care needs!

For Botox or filler, I recommend Dermacare every time. This team is so precise about their work, and they always follow up with a call to make sure you are loving your results and have a chance to ask any questions.Everything they do is medical grade! Ask them to walk you through their laser treatment options. I’ve had a Halo treatment there and go back regularly for BBL (advanced IPL) and it’s amazing for addressing sun damage!

I received a Cool Peel laser treatment and it went great. The PA was fantastic, and the results are already looking amazing. I’m very excited to go back for my next treatment in a couple of weeks!

Some staff were very rude. I got the sense that this work environment was very toxic. One young girl that worked in the reception area was very unkind and acted like one of the mean girls. She was tall with shoulder length light brown hair and sometimes wore glasses. Beth was the most pleasant. I gave 3 stars because the manager was kind enough to refund me and accommodate me.

I had a great experience with Lauren with microneedling with the Vivace machine today. It was a great experience and my first time with the machine. She was very professional and full of knowledge about each step process which made the experience pleasant and comforting. I always have a wonderful time with every staff member I encounter at Dermacare between the front desk or any of the clinicans that perform a full range of services they offer especially Trisha and Carry. I think Lauren is a great new addition to the team.

After being a client for more than 8 years, I have nothing but accolades for Dermacare of Hampton Roads.. What initially drew me to Dermacare was the fact that it was medically supervised by a doctor, extremely important in my search for a medical spa. After becoming a member, I have enjoyed my experience with the staff; they have become like family and I always look forward to seeing them. They are truly professional, knowledgeable, then continue to train and keep up-to-date on the latest products and services available. The facility is very well maintained and very clean. Most importantly, which is the bottom line, I am thrilled with the look and feel of my skin. Last August I moved from the area, but continue to fly back to Chesapeake for my services. I havent found anything close to my current experience with Dermacare where I currently live. I highly recommend that you give them a try...you wont be disappointed!!

If youre looking for the right medspa for you, dont look any further. My experience with Dermacare has been nothing short of exceptional. From the very first day of my consultation, the customer service and care from the staff was absolutely mind blowing.I specifically came to Dermacare to address my struggles with PCOS excess hair growth and decided to move forward with Laser hair removal. For years I had been going to countless quacks that promised me results from different hair removal processes, to no avail. I had already expended so much of my time, money, and mental health into this pursuit to rid my face of excess hair.After my first two treatments (only two months) there was a noticeable difference and from that point on, the hair never grew in the same way again. It diminished week by week and became more and more manageable. Not only did it clear almost all the hair, but, the acne and scarring from years of tweezing have vanished as well.The staff at Dermacare saw me through an incredible journey. They wanted my hair to go away as much as I did, and the professionalism from each staff member cannot be matched. The methods and equipment they use take no time at all and do not hurt. They often put out promotional benefits that make their services a steal. The value for your time and money is worth it, I promise.

Scheduled an appointment weeks out to have enough time to heal before an event. They called the week before and said “sorry but the physician will not be available that day”. This was after I had my consultation and everything. No other Friday openings for weeks and they don’t do fillers on Saturdays. Very poor customer service. I’ll take my $1k somewhere else. Thanks.

Yet another Dermacare disappointment. I was 5min late, called on the way to give a heads up and was put on hold so I hung up. I arrived 4min late was told to wait and then waited in the lobby for 10min to be pulled back and told I was late for my appointment and I wouldn’t be able to be seen. Tina was unfriendly and condescending. This is after 3 other scheduling issues with facials and appts I’ve made, being put on a waitlist, being called and canceled the day before my appointment due to staff being out (which I understand), but then no consideration or customer service for me…the customer. Hopefully it’ll get better as when I did have my second facial it was amazing (the first was not).

Now that Im cooled off from my last visit, I can write a level headed review. Firstly, if you need tattoo removal, please go somewhere else. Go to a place that actually specializes in removal only and has more than one technician. Secondly, if I say I want one treatment and your tech gives me two anyways, maybe find yourself a new tech. When I went in for my last treatment, I voiced some concerns about how much it hadnt faded. My first appointment was done correctly. We got frosting and lots of fading. My second treatment she couldnt get it to the frosting point. There was barely any fading. The third time I went in, I noted this to her. I suggested maybe we make one pass instead of two and see what the results were. She left the room for a while, came back in, and proceeded to put a patch on me. I asked her if we were doing just one treatment and if the patch was needed. She said we could do one if I wanted to. I didnt understand why it wasnt clear the first time I had said it before she left the room, but I felt uncomfortable and she seemed irritated at me so I just wanted to get out of there. I told her lets see and she proceeded to do the treatment and it HURT. A LOT. There was no frosting, only blood. I told her it hurt a lot more than usual. We had some back and forth eye contact but I could tell she was upset with me for some reason. I just told her to go ahead and finish up. She did what she wanted to do, which was two treatments instead of one and I got out of there. It was swollen and bloody for over a week and theres been almost no fading.I can tell you this about Whitney at dermacare. Shes not inviting or personable. Shes professional as long as you dont question her. And her motives are unclear. Whether this is a tactic to keep getting your money for longer used by these types of places or whether they simply have a bad technician, I can tell you I wont be back. Whatever scathing reply contrary to what I posted here (because Ive seen how you guys respond to your clients), just know that this is very much the truth and my experience here. I did not pay ~$900 to STILL have a very visible tattoo. And neither should anyone reading this.

Love my time at Dermacare. I’ve been a client for 5+ years. Go once a month and always get great treatments from Tina. The staff is very professional and always greet me with warmth and enthusiasm. The best part of the year are the biannual open house with great gifts and specials. Ladies, keep up the great work❗️

Went for my free facial and I left feeling brand new thanks to Megan. My skin is improving by the day. Saw Trisha today for botox and she has such a gentle hand. Haley at the front desk is so nice. I love coming to this place, its been almost a year now! Highly recommend!!! Thank you ladies for always treating me like your number one customer.

I only went by to get products that I usually have to get online. But when I got there, they had the aesthetician speak with me and give me samples of what she recommended and to compare that to see if that (exfoliating face wash) worked better alongside the products I was purchasing. I got the Ahava face wash and I love it! The expertise and customer service is excellent. They also have 6 month or 1-year packages for your needs to help keep you maintain your skincare regimen. That’s great the only drawback is it’s a contract. I’d rather it not be pushed so hard. What if my skin clears after a couple of months or I’m on travel, etc. But overall I’m very pleased and love the staff and service.

I absolutely love each of the aestheticians I have seen in the past there, they give great facials and chemical peels. However I have a concern and would really like to speak with the owner about this if possible. I feel that I have been treated unfairly, I am a young African American woman that has been dealing with derma care for over a YEAR for my dark spots and acne. I am a doctor of Pharmacy and who knows very well about all things health/medical, the PA there Carrie recently denied my right to pay for additional treatments to get my active acne under control. I thoroughly explained to her that it is the additional treatments (twice a month sometimes if needed) that has gotten my skin back on track especially during this time of Covid. I also explained that aesthetic appearance is important in my field of practice and facials twice a month when needed really does help my skin more than she knows. I really feel as though I should have more of a say in regard to my skin care and she should listen instead of just denying what is ultimately helping my skin the most.

I love going to Dermacare! I live an hour from the office but I make time to go. I used to have no idea what was best for my skin care. It was pretty intimidating with how many options and ads I would see when I would walk into a store in the mall. They all would claim to work but I usually was washing money down the drain. When I started going to Dermacare, I struggled with acne. I didn’t have acne as a teenager but in my early adult life, I got blasted with it. Nothing seemed to work.With the help of Dermacare I now have my acne under control. I will still breakout from time to time but I feel so empowered and know what to do now. I now have a skin regiment that works for MY skin. I get compliments all the time on how clear my face looks. I never thought I would hear that, especially as I age.The staff at Dermacare is so friendly. They always make me feel welcome when I arrive. They always help me to find appointments that fit into my schedule. Most importantly, as I am leaving, I NEVER feel sold to. I always feel like the staff is trying to help my needs without trying to shove products down my throat.Dermacare is my one stop for peels, lasers, facials, B12, Botox, fillers. Pretty much everything!

I’m sorry to have to post a bad review but I had quite a bad experience here and think others might want to know. Ladies, please choose another place to do any injectables. My injector had poor technique causing major bruising and swelling and the experience itself caused a lot of physical pain for weeks, which it should not. The outcome was not what I was hoping for and I went to a doctor somewhere else to do a correction.The experience with the other doctor in Virginia Beach (not Dermacare HR) was absolutely stellar, caused no pain, swelling or bruising, and the outcome is what I had hoped for.Dermacare HR is fine for lasers and other skin care treatments but please learn from my mistake, and go to a qualified doctor or facial plastic surgeon to do any injectables. Good luck everyone. Honestly my best lesson is you are beautiful just the way you are.

I was only able to get one laser tattoo removal procedure in spring 2015 so far, but will definitely be back for more! The customer service was impeccable and I received excellent quality of one session. They were completely professional and took care of exactly what I needed. Highly recommend. Results after one treatment are amazing.

I have had several treatments at Dermacare and have always found the staff there to be very friendly and welcoming. They are very professional in their approach to treatments. I like the BBL treatments Ive had. I had a lot of sun damage from too much sun growing up. I was amazed at how the BBL treatments erased most of the sun damage , even on my hands and it was quick and painless - no down time at all. Ive also had a Halo treatment on my face which went further toward erasing sun damage, fine lines and re-texturing my skin. That was not painful but did have a couple days of down time with some swelling and redness. However, it was well worth it. I would not hesitate to recommend the services provided at Dermacare.

I was very pleased that they did everything possible to stop the spread of germs. Im a germaphobe and I was impressed. Carrie was very knowledgeable and I immediately knew I was in great hands. She was thorough in her explanations. Really knows her stuff! I will return. Was referred by a friend who also goes regularly and loves them. Highly recommend.

I have been going to DermaCare for 7 years now. I went on the advise of a friend and have never looked back. My 64 year old face is the best it’s ever been. I just started getting the salt facial. I totally love it! Over the years I have gotten Botox, fillers and the best skin care in the world, SkinMedica.The staff are all so professional and willing to help you get the products and treatments that you need. The front desk staff are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and will take the time to answer any and all questions.I would recommend this business to anyone looking to turn back time! I was looking for a place close by to begin laser hair removal for my arms and legs and came across this place pretty quickly. It was highly rated so decided to give it a try. They were having a bogo on LHR and I just had to jump on the opportunity! Staff is pretty friendly. I wish I could remember the name of the girl who was helping me get an account set up but she is so nice and helpful. I went for my first session a few days ago and it went great. I did have to wait around for awhile because they switched up the machine they wanted to use on me. Didnt really bother me I didnt have anything to do that day. I did appreciate them checking in and giving me updates on when Id go back. Im glad I waited for the different machine because it would have taken forever with the smaller one haha! I had Tina I believe and she was great. Checked in on me the entire time to make sure I was comfortable and always warned me when she put the cold gel on which was nice because it was pretty dang cold haha. She seemed very knowledgeable and answered questions I had. My only real complaint would be not getting a call back when I leave a voicemail. I work in an office too I understand it can get busy or you lose the contact info or whatever. But overall a nice place and friendly people. I look forward to the rest of my sessions and cant wait to see the end results!

I have had several treatments done at Dermacare. I love the atmosphere, the caring and professional staff and most of all the outcome from my treatments. I recommended them to many of my friends and will continue to do so.

I went to Dermacare last year because let’s face it, aging isn’t easy! I am military and have only been in this area a couple of years. I will be honest was going somewhere else prior to Dermacare but was drawn in by the great reviews and I got a discount for my first visit! When I came in for my appt the staff was friendly and professional, the office was inviting. When I went back to get my botox I was speaking with the doctor. I asked her to strategically place my injections so that it would raise my eyebrows a bit. I had been having an increasing problem with my eyes appearing shut in all my photos when I smiled. The doctor then informed me that there was an eye condition (Ptosis) and it was fixable. I did get my botox that day which was FABULOUS! I then started my research. Through referrals etc I was treated for ptosis. The road took me about a year so I just got to go back for more botox. I am so grateful. Aging is hard, treatment for aging is not cheap. I save for long periods of time to be able to get the treatments that make me feel better. I will be entering the civilian workforce soon for the first time and I am no spring chicken so having this confidence is important. It means a lot that they always educate me on things and respect my money. My previous place never said a word just taking more of my money when there was actual medical intervention that is permanent that could be done. I still love my botox but now it enhances my eyes which are open in all my photos! I would HIGHLY recommend Dermacare and am grateful for their knowledge, expertise, and heart.

I had the skin pen micro needling procedure/3 visits w/ Promo Growth factorDuring visit #1 I was advised that I would obtain a replenshiment of skincare products on each visit which including the growth factor. I was very excited to hear this, so I did not worry about using miniscual amounts of product.During visit #2 I was advised that no I would not obtain a replenshiment of skincare products afterall and that I would only get the growth factor if I paid for it. I thought that was in poor taste. It was a monthly special, it should be recorded in my file. This was at the beginning of the appointment and it ruined the entire experience. How was I supposed to make 1.7 oz of serum and 2oz of hyrdator last 90 days? I paid $1690.00 for only three visits for one set of skin care items over a period of 90 days. During Visit #1, I had the numbing medicine in my throat and eyes. I was at home trying to work from home literally tearing up from the burning. Now she warned it me about the numbing medicine getting into the esophagus if you are not careful but I think it could have been prevented. On two occasions I was called to find out four days later how i was doing after visit #1 and #2 when I rendered my experience and my feelings I was met with a defensive explanation to items that concerned me. It made me very uncomfortable to have defend back my thoughts when I was actually asked to express them. On the 2nd visit after I had rendered my first feedback over the phone , there was hostility in the air. I was not met with the same friendliness with the first apppointment. I did not look forward to my final appointment. I could not wait to get out of there! And the young lady was so angry with me that she made sure that I paid for by skin penning my face in such a way that I had severe scabbing on my forehead. On the 2nd visit after returning home, I had a complete line down the center of my forehead and also across the left side of my face where it was white in both places or rather untouched. When I was called to find out about how I was doing after that appointment I was met with hostility about that too after sharing about the missed places. I the customer was wrong. There is no way that happened. So visit three was me defending the truth against someone who basically told me in a nutshell that it couldnt be. Overall, for the amount of money I paid the service was uncomfortable, and not as skilled as I would have liked. The professionalism needs work. If you ask your patients how the experience was and they have thoughts good or bad, dont make it worse by not being able to listen to the patient. I have not seen any results that i anticipated. This service was recommended to me as an alternative to what I was originally seeking. I was convinced it would work but I have not seen any change. I also feel awkward knowing that these same services are 1/3 the cost at other facilities. I paid $563 per appointment which was about an hour and I had to buy my own products for days 30-90. I will say I was given a small sample tube of the vitamin c anti-aging serum which did help out. I would not recommend the provider at all or the facility. I am really ashamed at myself for doing this procedure and spending the money with the experience that I had.

I attended their open house. I also got assessed for the CoolSculpting sessions. Also looked at Organic salt facial. All quite expensive but I was impressed with their reps. It is FDA approved but not insurance approved. I have too many over projects that take precedence over getting fat removed from my belly. LOL. Like paying off the bill for my new roof. Hah!

I had a BBL laser treatment from Whitney on Wednesday. Already noticing some results. Very professional and completely explained the procedure (my first one). Friendly staff and environment - I will be returning.

Was considering this place for a tattoo removal but just reading EVERY SINGLE negative rating I see the replies from “owner” whoever you are and overall you have stated ALL of them individually are liars. Clearly some issues with you whoever you are responding so eloquently dismissing these situations instead of acknowledging the customers concerns with their experience at this business. It is evident even simply by these reviews that you do not care about your customers, if they’re truly your customers and you’re not just paid to do side work such as defending any uncomfortable experiences shared online. I see you lol. And I’ll pass on these kind of fake interactions but just thought I should let you know it would serve the business MUCH better to simply publicly apologize to your customers who GAVE YOU ALOT OF $$ and felt dismissed instead of defending the situation. That turned me off all the way.

I am new to the Virginia and tried many medical spas in the area and was not happy with results. A neighbor gave me a card from Dermacare, so I gave it a try. Much to my surprise it was great.. My skin never looked better.. Ladies this is a winner!

After an awful experience with another doctor in Virginia Beach, I was SO happy to find Trisha! 15 units with her looks 1000x better than the 30 units I had to do with another local doctor!

I entered the building on Monday October 28, 2013 at 9:40 a.m. I asked the receptionist at the front desk for a business card. She asked me what I wanted it for. I said to have for future use. She said We dont just give our cards out. I said I thought thats what business cards were for. She ask me again what I wanted it for, services? She leaned back and crossed her arms. I again answered her yes and she said again We dont just give our cards out. So I left. Im military and was looking for vein service. To have someone on your front desk who doesnt have compassion and in the medical field could make or break your practice.

I’ve been going to Dermacare for 8 + years and have been thrilled with all of the skin care, treatments, products and friendly knowledgeable staff. I recommend Dermacare to anyone that would love to see an improvement to their skin!
