My husband and I met with Artie yesterday to have matching tattoos done as an anniversary gift to each other. He had our piece drawn up and ready to go when we go there and was very flexible with placement and adjustments to make our art just what we wanted. He gave great advice on placement and took his time making our experience great. He takes great pride in his work and it shows. He was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend him. The shop itself is gorgeous as well.

Got my sleeve done with TC Flowers from March-May. Quick, great collaboration. He helped me make my vision come to life artistically. Amazing artist. I’ve gotten SOO MANY compliments on my sleeve and from a diverse crowd of people. He does mainly thin line work, which is what I was searching for and the price is beyond reasonable and respectable.The tattoo means a lot to me because it is about my family and TC made sure to handle the situation delicately and with passion.WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

White whale is one of the nicest shops I’ve been into. Artie was super helpful in the process of placement and helping pick good designs. A little bit more on the pricey side but well worth it with how great these tattoos have turned out.

I got my tattoo done by Citali Elena and she was absolutely amazing. Super sweet and accommodating, easy to communicate with, and an overall really talented artist. I highly recommend her work!

I’ve had 2 separate sessions with Darcie now and she’s absolutely AMAZING. She is kind, patient and extremely talented. She helped me design my sticker sleeve and bring the vision to life, helping me with sizing and placement so my arm looked balanced and tasteful. I cannot recommend her or this studio enough.

Jojo was really great to work with. I sent her an idea and she turned it into the absolute perfect tattoo for me. I also thought the White Whale space and decor was very cool. I would definitely recommend this place and specifically, Jojo!

Just received my fourth tattoo fromDarcie and she nailed it per usual. I started seeing her when she was an apprentice and her work has come so far and heals beautifully. I was very anxious about the initial size of the tattoo but she made the experience comfortable and I felt confident about speaking up. Along with the cozy space of the studio, I will definitely be back!

I recently got a tattoo from the incredible Darcie Brock at white whale. The atmosphere at White whale is perfect, such fun decor. While stumped on exactly how to make a design work, Darcie somehow manifested my thoughts and created a perfect piece. The work is stunning, and it was an absolute wonderful experience. I’ll be back

I cannot recommend this place enough, Especially my tattoo artist Artie.The space is amazing, oozes industrial Hippie and art. The hanging Canoe is a really cool touch I love looking at whenever I’m there. The reputation of this place 100% lived up to my expectations and beyond. Could not be happier.

Lynx did a phenominal job with my tattoo back in October of 2020! I am so excited to schedule my next tattoo with her, and when I asked about getting some touch ups, she was incredibly understanding and accommodating. I felt safe being able to reach out to her if I had any problems, and I had such a wonderful time getting tattooed by her. Im super excited to have more work done by her in the coming year :)

Located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, the studio is beautiful and surprisingly private considering the location. My star review is only based on the environment and friendliness of the staff because I did not have any work done. I was greeted with a smile and enjoyed the conversation and time spent answering my questions. I’m sorry I can’t provide a more complete review considering I did not have a tattoo done at this shop.

Artie is one of the best tattoo artists I’ve ever worked with, all his art was amazing and he was very professional. Love this tattoo studio.

I had an amazing experience at White Whale Tattoo! TC Flowers did my first tattoo and talked me through the entire process. He made me feel comfortable and really prioritized making the art exactly how I wanted. I am so pleased with how it turned out and admire the skill that went into it. I will definitely be returning for more quality tattoos!

A few years ago I got a tattoo of Cincinnati Music Hall on my thigh. It is an incredible piece!! Jeremiah was my artist and he did an outstanding job. He did a lot of research, found an architectural drawing of the building and used that as the basis for the design. He went above and beyond designing and tattooing this work. Also, very friendly staff at White Whale overall. If you are looking to get a high quality tattoo I would highly recommend White Whale.**I will add a photo to this comment soon.

Citlali is amazing! Awesome artist to work with and totally brought my vision to life with her amazing style - can’t wait to work on another piece with her soon!!! The whole shop was super clean and inviting and had great style. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about White Whale. My experience was seamless and so fun. I saw Lynx and the quality of my tattoo surpassed all my hopes. The shop is so clean and bright, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been following White Whale for years and was always nervous to try to get in, so I was thrilled when Citali Elena opened her books, I crossed my fingers and tried. She made every single part of this experience an absolute delight! From working with my schedule to designing a beautiful piece to honor my grandma to dealing with me being a disaster of a human on the day of the appointment, I can’t say enough nice things! She was so kind and thoughtful. The conversation was fun- I was trying hard not to laugh so I wouldn’t shake! Plus my tattoo is beautiful and I just want to keep staring at it. Thank you so so much!

Went here for my first tattoo and I wasnt disappointed. The artist are really talented and know what they are doing. The shop is super clean and modern. I got a large tattoo on my chest and received detailed after care instructions, 5 days on it has healed really well and looks great. Looking to a get another tattoo and wouldnt think of going anywhere else. I highly recommend!

I have two tattoos from Jerimiah and he is hands down the best!! Very clean environment and they make you feel comfortable. It may take a while to get an appointment, but they are worth the wait — thanks for the mission work you guys do!!

Got work done by Em and the quality is beautiful. Line work is very crisp, high quality ink, and an all around cool girl! It is very clean, the whole staff is friendly, relaxing atmosphere, and right across from a coffee/wine/beer shop. The business itself is wonderful!!Only complaint is that scheduling was pushed back, designs not ready when I was told they would be, and it would be a while before I heard back sometimes. (Dont get me wrong, I know artists have real lives and other commitments!). My experience wasnt bad necessarily, I just felt that for what I was paying that I should have gotten better quality service in the communication area. I cant say this applies to the whole studio though. Still go!! You wont regret it :)

LOVE White Whale. Went here for my first tattoo on my 18th and it was such a wonderful & calming experience. The place is absolutely stunning and Lynx & all of the other artists truly love what they do. Asked for a really special tattoo and she delivered. I recommend White Whale to anyone wanting a tattoo! I am so grateful to the talented, extremely professional artists at White Whale. The line work and pointillism they do is stunning! I admire the beautiful piece of art Jeremiah created on my arm everyday! The art is high quality and you must book in advanced and be patient. If youre lucky enough to get Jeremiah, he is top notch and you wont be disappointed with your experience!

If youre looking for quality work, Id advise you to put White Whale at the top of your list for places to get your piece done at. Every artist in this place is talented beyond belief and Id be honored to have anyones work in the shop on my body but, my girl is Annie. Shes chill, kind, respectful, and a damn good artist whose creativity blows my mind. You want a tattoo? Go anywhere you like. You want a piece of art, hand drawn for you by an artist that cares about their craft, who studies the medium, and who is passionate about what they do - go to White Whale.

Some of the best, most accommodating, and professional customer service I have experienced. My wife purchased a gift card for me in anticipation of getting a tattoo from Jeremiah. Due to a host of circumstances the tattoo was not going to be able to happen. They were kind and prompt with their responses and went above and beyond for us. I would recommend this shop based on their service alone

I HIGHLY Recommend checking this place out.VERY clean, artists take their time in sterilizing and prepping their equipment; they dont rush through it. If something falls, they dont even try to use it. Decor is clean, simple, and isnt cluttered (Some places Ive visited have every wall filled with busy flash pieces) Their license is very visible, and their environment gives a very professional sense.In both of my visits, my artist (Niki) Was very attentive to my requests, offered experienced advice, and delivered stunning pieces. All of the artists have their work on the website, and each one seems to have a skilled eye for their personal style.Highly. Highly. Highly Recommend!

I had the most amazing experience today. I stopped in about two months ago for my consultation where I expressed the importance of the tattoo and the elements that meant something to me. Jeremy delivered today with an amazing piece of art that I will carry with me forever. Not only is his artwork amazing, but the shops atmosphere, his care, and the experience they provided is unlike any other. I will most definitely be back for more.

Ive seen the really cool art they do. I waited for books to finally open and contacted an artist. Their initial email was sweet and friendly. But their response to my next email was snippy. I followed up twice and never got a response (its been a few weeks). I finally scheduled with a different shop. I was looking forward to coming in and pretty disappointed about my experience with the communication/scheduling here.

If you’re looking to get a tattoo in the Cincinnati area you will be hard-pressed to find a better place to do it than White Whale. Everyone in the shop is welcoming and kind, it’s in emmaculate condition at all times, the location is tucked away and interesting, and the work done there is second to none. I’ve had two pieces done through three different sessions with Zack (Zapmeistertattoo) and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The professionalism and skill of the artists at the shop are far beyond par, and I would recommend this shop to anyone interested in getting a tattoo. I wish I could give 6/5 stars.

I couldnt say anything negative about this shop or their employees even if I tried. Zack is an outstanding artist with the array of styles he tattoos on his clients. He is so personable and openminded and holds great conversation. I love these artists and their shop is so beautifully decorated. You are truly missing out if you arent following them on Instagram OR booking with them, cant wait for many more experiences with these guys!

I was here for the Friday the 13th flash tattoo sale which is different than the normal process but I still had a great experience. Everyone was very nice even though it was a long day and I could tell they really cared. I got a wonderful tattoo and had a great time at the event with my friend. The store was very clean and organized even though the day was a little chaotic. I will be back for a custom tattoo soon!

Ive gotten three tattoos that white whale now all by different artists. All the artists have been great. The shop is clean, well run and feels very safe to everyone that enters

Jeremiah truely exceeded my expectations. I did some research of different artists that specialized in linework before I made my appointment at White Whale. In my opinion, they really do the best woodcut / pointalism tattoos in the city. I really appreciated the positive vibe of shop. Some shops can be jaded or intimidating, but everyone I had contact with was friendly and professional. I plan on coming back for more.

I cant say enough about this place! Stylish, clean, etc...What you want in a tattoo parlor. But on top of that, the artists are so welcoming and talented. They really make it feel like home. Many of the artists have line work and pointillism styles. You will need to schedule in advance and artists book up fast. I have been here for a tattoo and microblading and worked with Annie. Jeremiah and crew do some of the best work, hands down. For new and old alike, they make the tattooing experience easy and stress-free. Combine that with their charitable work in Guatemala, and you have a must-visit shop!

From everything I’ve seen, this shop is a class-act! While Cincinnati is full of slimy tattoo shops, this shop is definitely not one! White Wale Tattoo is one of very few shops in Cincy that I respect. You’ll be in good hands if you decide to go here.

Top tier quality tattoos and having an absolute blast getting them. Does require booking several months in advance, but its entirely worth it.

I came here for my first tattoo and was blown away by the professionalism and level of detail given to my idea / design. Zack Muellers work speaks for itself, but I was impressed with the sytlization, placement and shading (IG zapmeistertattoo). He also genuinely cared about my reasons behind my tattoo. I will definitely come back for my second one.

The whole experience was great! You can tell walking into the shop that it’s a tattoo place unlike any other. Zack’s design was gorgeous and it looked even better on! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality tattoo.

I waited years to eat even decent Mexican food here in Pittsburgh. Being from the DC area, originally, Id been spoiled by the Mexican/Latin American cuisine on every corner. Totopo is a welcome relief from the McDonaldland MadMex establishments, here.The customer service is second to none. And the drinks are worth the price they charge, not overly full of mixer like many bars and restaurants provide. The tableside guacamole is a MUST HAVE starter. My recent favorite entrees have been the pork and pineapple tacos, and the chorizo and chicken bowl (they have Spanish names but my brain cannot recall them). The fish tacos are also excellent, most especially the skinny tacos which are wrapped in butter lettuce instead of tortillas.If youre feeling like a sweet treat, the fried ice cream is a crowd pleaser.

Niki did a fantastic job with my tattoo. She designed it exactly how I pictured and made me feel comfortable through the whole process. (The studio was also super clean.)

The tattoo artists here work in such a way that they like to build hype around their openings to create more of a demand than they can serve. It’s not worth it for the quality of art that they give.
