Uncle Bobs Tattoos

I initially went to uncle Bob’s tattoo for a tattoo I saw that I wanted to get that represented me watching over my 4 kids. Uncle Bob didn’t like tattooing someone else’s work so we worked together for an original tattoo idea that i loved. A month later i went in with a new tattoo idea that combined 3 different elements. Uncle Bob and myself came up with something that we both were excited about. After Uncle Bob completed the tattoo I was floored on how good it came out. I am extremely happy with both tattoos and am starting to think of a 3rd for uncle Bob. Pause the shop is clean, employees are nice and I just loved the atmosphere. If your looking for a tattoo shop weather is for your first tattoo or looking for a new artist. I highly recommend uncle Bob’s tattoos.

Tink was our artist and just did such a phenomenal job! Starting with quick response emails to set up an appointment, having a sketch based on email images sent ready to go was such a plus as well, and she nailed it! She was friendly and professional the entire time, yet you could tell she loved this job and it was a passion as well! 10/10 will return to Tink again in the future! Her color is incredible!

There’s a reason this guy is still in business after all these years. One of the best around Southern Indiana and Louisville. The staff are professional and personable. They each have their own style, which they rock! Ive had Bob and Tink both tattoo me and both were fantastic! Tinks linework is phenomenal. She took my ideas and suggestions and created something to elegant, better than what I could have imagined! Bob fid my first tattoo. He made me so at ease, and my tattoo is so beautiful! I cannot recommend them enough! They make it really easy to make appointments online and offer walk ins as well. I’ve been in for both a walk in and an appointment now and both couldn’t have gone any better. I love both the tattoos and all the artists are so kind and create a really comfortable environment. You can’t go wrong with anyone here but Tink is absolutely amazing!

First of all, I would like to thank Bob for another amazing tattoo! This was my fourth one and Bob has done them all. I mainly get portraits of family members or people that I love that have passed, so I can imagine the pressure artist must be under trying to get the tattoo perfect in that situation let alone three times so far! My nephew died tragically at the age of 14 on a four wheeler, my mother of natural causes, and most recently my son passed at the age of 30! Bob took on the challenge, and made me very comfortable! Cost was not important, but if you are interested, he is very affordable for what he delivers!! I would have thought they would have been a lot more! I have had a total of four Texas, and three of them being portraits for under $1000 amazing and amazing quality every time I get one I tell him it is the last one, but I always come back lol. And I recommend you do the same. You won’t be disappointed!🙂 I could go on and on, but I think you get my points thanks again, Bob, I could never thank you enough!!!

I recently got this piece done by Janelle. She did an amazing job combining everything I wanted to incorporate in this piece. I was shocked and completely satisfied! Her line work is incredible and she made me and my friend feel so comfortable. This was my first time at Uncle Bobs and I’ll definitely be back! Ive gotten several tattoos at Uncle Bobs and every experience has been fantastic. Everyone is so nice and incredibly talented! My latest piece was by Tink, and I love it! She has such a relaxing vibe and her skills are amazing!

Im getting a difficult and intricate full sleeve, Bob is handling it himself. 3 sessions in, 1 or 2 more to go. The work is fantastic and Bob is a pleasure to hang with for 3 hours or so at a time.Uncle Bob is top notch, no wonder his legend precedes him.

Today I had the pleasure of getting a second piece done at Uncle Bobs by the wonderfully talented & beautifully humble Janelle. One could not wish for a more professional & welcoming experience than that which she strives to deliver in every faucet of her work. Janelle is as I said a wonderfully talented artist but its her positivity, radiant light & vibes that make her a truly special tattooist. Ill be returning to her chair as often as I can confident in the knowledge that Im in truly capable, artistic & beautiful hands. 10/10 I recommend.

Loved my experience with Tink. She helped me turn something I didn’t like so much into now a piece of art! Now I’m not so self conscious. She truly knows her flower work and does a beautiful job❤️

Received tattoos from both RJ, Uncle Bob and one of their female apprentices (wish I could remember her name) always incredible work from all of them. RJ took his time trying to lay out multiple stencils to do my spine, and although I could tell he was getting a little frustrated trying to make it align perfect it turned out incredible! Uncle Bob always does amazing work! He always goes the extra mile when it comes to tattooing. Example I had a pretty plain original design I had done on my arm. Uncle Bob tattooed it, and said i think it might look a little better with some shading but you take a look and tell me how you feel. He was totally right, the shading made it so much better! As for their female Apprentice (sorry I wish I could remember her name) she did my ribs, which I loved that they gave me a female artist so I’d be more comfortable without me even asking. Always amazing work! And amazing prices! Will only continue to go to this shop. I don’t trust anyone else 🫶🏼

My sisters and I recently got tattoos done here by Uncle Bob. He was wonderful to work with and made us feel super comfortable. You can tell he works hard to make the place what it is. I would 100% recommend!

I have had four tattoos done at Uncle Bob’s, two by Bob himself. Uncle Bob and his team do not tattoo, they create art. I have a lot of ink that came from other studios, but the work I received from Uncle Bob is unmatched.To anyone that is considering getting tattooed, give Uncle Bobs a try; it is worth it.

I have taken my daughter to RJ twice now and I went for the first time yesterday for a session. Absolutely love everything about this place! RJ is an absolute rockstar and he does an amazing job!! Everyone there is very welcoming and extremely professional unlike other places I’ve been. I also want to point out the cleanliness as well as private tattoo rooms for anyone looking to get a tattoo in a sensitive area in which they don’t want to be out for everyone to see. I had an appointment for a tattoo cover up with Tink. First off, everything in her bio about making me feel calm during the process is spot on. She made an amazing design full of all the elements I asked for. To say Im pleased with her work is an understatement. She took something I absolutely did not want on my body and turned it into the most beautiful piece of art I have seen.

Rj & Bob are awesome every time we go! We may be a bit of a pain to deal with but, they are always amazing, talented and patient! Honest, fair and great to hang with while they do their art on us! Never go anywhere else!

Clean place. During my tattoo the front desk employee came into the room and openly told my artist to hurry up and finish so I can go home so so unprofessional and uncomfortable for everyone. My artist was good and seemed a little upset but not surprised by this comment. I will not be supporting a place that pushes for hastily done permanent body modifications when there are hundreds of local shops who would never dream of speaking like that in front of a happily paying customer. My visit was in July, I was on the fence about posting this review but still have a sour taste in my mouth from the interaction and rushed tattoo. I have over 10 tattoos from at least 6 different shops and am flabbergasted that Uncle Bobs condones this hostile behavior.

Bob was absolutely amazing! The artist that originally was going to tattoo me ended up leaving so Bob took me on himself. He was fast and efficient. My tat was hurting a lot so he talked to keep me focused on something other than the pain. Super friendly and very flexible on what I wanted done* (let me repeat: He did EXACTLY what I asked for made sure I was happy before anything else!). It was a great environment and I will absolutely go back! 10/10!Side note: He did a tattoo for my dad also and it’s absolutely amazing! Quality is nearly perfect. It was an extraordinary experience!

Rj did a Madusa tattoo on my inner forearm and not only is it off center, it’s terrible line work they end and restart in random places and are very shaky. One of the snakes heads is missing as well. Seemed to be in a hurry to get out and go home from the very start. Had a very rushed vibe from the very beginning. If he would have just reached out and said he didn’t feel like tattooing that day I would have came at a different time rather than get a rushed piece. I respectfully reached out on the website to have RJ touch it up and finish it for me but they never booked me or anything just wanted me come in on a Saturday while they do walk ins so I drove an hour and a half there just to sit for over 3 hrs while he worked with other people so I eventually left. Not a good way to keep repeat customers just saying. Doing rushed work then won’t even fix it. People have to live with these tattoos on their skin forever you should give the best you can do or don’t do it. I have since gotten another tattoo to attempt to offset the fact that this one is off center.

This shop was awesome! It was big, CLEAN, and staffed by excellent (and friendly!) staff! I went with 3 other people to get tattoos, and everyone was so happy with the experience. The art came out perfect, for everyone. One member of our group was a tattoo-newbie, and she had such a good experience! Would HIGHLY recommend.

I scheduled an appointment with RJ for a tattoo Friday night at 5pm. I gave him 4 pictures that I wanted to be designed into 1 tat. RJ took an hr to put all together and then explained that the lettering wouldnt be visible because of the size. He continued to redesign but still had concerns. After 30 more minutes he designed a totally different art design that I actually liked better. He tat on my wrist for a few and the outcome was AMAZING! Very little discomfort also when he was working on me. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND HIM AND UNCLE BOB!!!!

Bob and the ladies were nice and the facility is very cool! But I, unfortunately, got a man who clearly didn’t want to be there for whatever reason. I wish I could remember his name! I called to make sure they would be able to take a couple walk-ins that day and was reassured that they were not busy at all, and got there within 10 minutes of my call. They weren’t busy and said they didn’t have any appointments until 3 hours later, but the man we spoke to was still very rushed. He was not friendly in the slightest and did not try to reassure my friend that her FIRST tattoo would go smoothly, like I’ve seen every other artist do! He barely made eye contact and would answer our questions with very short sentences. It was like prying teeth! I wanted a simple black line work piece, just some lines, small stars, and a few Greek letters. It was about 4 in wide and 3 in long. The lines came out wavy and the line weight was inconsistent. In some parts, the lines were very dark and in others they were so light that it looked like he took the needle off of my skin completely. The letters were out of order as if he did them completely backwards, though he had told me that he was making sure they didn’t end up that way. It looked like he didn’t even use the reference photo for them! My friend got a very small watercolor flower piece which was okay, but looked nothing like the reference photo! Mine cost $60 and I paid and tipped, but had to go to another shop to get it fixed about a month later because I couldn’t stand looking at it! Another friend of mine then informed me that she got one done by the same man and it had the same line weight problem and it also didn’t match the reference photo! Her boyfriend got a full color eagle with a date underneath and I won’t even go into details on its flaws. I wish I could give a better review, but I don’t want anyone else to make the same mistakes my friends and I have made! I would go back for anyone else, I’ve seen their work on friends and I respect them all as artists and people! They are all friendly. It’s just that guy who acts like he doesn’t want to be in the same room as his clients! Please be warned, everyone!

Would never go back here again !! Uncle bob was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable the whole time as well as my friends.When my friend went to record a video of my tattoo he yelled at her and said not to record. Never have I ever had a tattoo artist A. Not let me or someone with me take a picture or video of MY tattoo and B. Yell at anyone like a child. Also was left undercovered? That part might be normal maybe but Im from Kentucky and its a law that it has to be covered in Ky idk about Indiana.

Very nice website. Easy to find what you’re looking for. There is also plenty of information on the different artists and portfolios to see their work. We haven’t gotten any work done from them yet but are definitely looking forward to it in the future. It’s nice to come across a decent website for a tattoo artist that doesn’t involve social media.

Very clean. Very friendly. They do not push you. They take what you ask and make it possible. My grandma just passed and they did a hummingbird tattoo. It came out amazing. I will be coming back and telling everyone about you guys. They also do piercing and tattoo removal. 5 stars all the way around.

I received a tattoo from Uncle Bob himself. The entire time he was doing the tattoo he talked about how he was the best in this area and no other tattoo artists around could come close to comparing with him, etc etc. After the tattoo was finished it looked like an amateur got a hold of me. Unsteady lines, some blow outs, bad coloring. Everything that could have been screwed up was. I hate leaving a bad review because there are so many trolls in the world but something had to be said. I dont know about the other artists there, but maybe its time Robert hung his machine up for good!

Just got my tattoo I been wanting for a few yrs and its one that I am proud to show off and even more when its all done thank you RJ for the new ink love it and cant wait to see yall again soon it was and will be my go to tattoo shop I really love how simple it was to say what I wanted and boom there it was thank again for the new ink and I will be back to get it done and more in the future

My whole family goes here for tattoos. It is by far my favorite tattoo shop in the area. RJ has done most of my tattoos and I am never disappointed. They go above and beyond to ensure you love what you are getting and aside from the tattoos the art they have in the shop is amazing. They make everyone feel at home and like family!

They did a pretty good job. Unfortunately RJ was rude off the bat and ended up making me cry. He wasn’t polite in explaining things to me and made me feel like I was stupid. Bob on the other hand heard what was going on and came over to cheer me up. He was extremely nice and helpful. Wouldn’t recommend RJ, he doesn’t really say much and was only polite to me after he made me cry. First tattoo experience wasn’t the best.

I’ve had a handful of tattoos there and all have turned out amazing. They made sure I was comfortable and relaxed before starting. Also you can see very clearly just how sanitary they are. I only trust them with my tattoos.

This is the best & most professional tattoo shop i have ever been to. I have 2 tattoos done by Bob, 1 by Tink, 1 by Dawn, & also had 1 done by a nice gentlemen whos name i cant remember, however i do believe he was Tinks best friend. I highly recommend this shop for any of your ink desires. Uncle Bob actually did a touch up for FREE on a tattoo i received from a diff shop cause he said he feels like nobody should ever have to walk around with ugly ink!!! The staff will go above & beyond to capture your vision & make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Went there for pricing, the gentleman that opened the door wasnt good with customer service. He was very rude and I assume he was busy but that doesnt give you the right to rush a customer. He shot out random pricing and then hurried us out. The business was clean, counter up front {I never got that far} so I had to give a star for cleanliness. Word of advice: Get a receptionist if you cannot answer questions from customers.

Dont bother. Was trapped by the non refundable deposit. Nothing but bad memories from my experience. I want to cut my skin off.

Awful experience with uncle bill. He was rude to my friends that I brought with me and rude to me saying choosing the font i want him to use “isn’t my job” I found this other shop in Louisville that i like better. Won’t be coming here anymore. -4 stars

So I went to get my wifes name on my head line was so thin and not straight started to fade out I do not recommend this shop to anyone money waisted the only reason they get one star is because they was polite

I wanted a daith piercing for migraine relief and Im so happy I came to this shop. The super nice guy out front, whose name I failed to get, but he was playing a ukelele, I believe, informed me that daith piercings for migraines were basically a scam started by some dude to make money and I would end up with a mutilated ear, because of my weirdly shaped daith, with no headache relief. So, I didnt end up getting a piercing, but Im glad I came here and got this info!

I had RJ do a memorial tattoo of my dad for me and i absolutely love it! Painless and took no time at all.10/10 recommend RJ!
