Northwest Tattoo Museum & Tattooing

Me and my wife drove up, took 6 hours. Had a blast meeting Jay and learning about Tattoo history. Since we are in the industry, this was a huge much needed moment to reflect on our craft. Thanks for being extremely kind and hospitable!

Jay brown is a walking textbook for tattoo art. It was such a pleasure to meet and talk to some of the staff. I would love to go again. In the email jay said it would be about an hour to tour the museum, we stayed for a little over five, and i would have stayed for an even longer tour if we didnt stay til closing lol! I got this percy waters design done on me by jay brown, and it turned out so beautiful, and is healing very smoothly! It felt like such an honor to get the tour by jay, i would highly reccomend anyone go. I would give a billion more stars if i could. One of the best experiences of my life. Thank you guys so much!

I originally had a tattoo done at another shop but ended up looking around to see what other studios there were to do the next tattoo I had planned. I saw that this studio had a high rating so I went in to chat with the staff about pricing and my design before actually going through with the tattoo. I talked to Doug and Jay who were super personable and able to answer all the questions I had. After this initial impression, I decided this was definitely where Id be going as the other option had the same hourly rate but I didnt like the vibe as much. NTM has a super clean and professional vibe that a lot of tattoo shops dont have. It didnt smell like incense and smoke and everything appeared tidy and hygienic. I ended up going in as a walk in today, even though they werent sure they could fit me in with the meet and greet they were doing at 4 PM. However, when I got there, they ended up being able to do the whole tattoo plus a touch up on my other smaller tattoo at no additional cost (which I was shocked about as its a knuckle tattoo that wouldve cost $100 on its own). I worked with Richard who was super reasonable and really helped my vision come to life (I was doing paw prints of my cat) and I am love love loving the quality and authenticity of the result! Their pricing is also super reasonable. When I had talked to Doug and Jay, I was expecting to pay $150 (thats their hourly rate) but I ended up only being charged $100 (for both tattoos!) which was a pleasant surprise even though I went well over an hour. Overall, I would give them a 11/10 rating and I will definitely be coming back in the future for any more tattoos I have planned and recommending to anyone else who asks!

Richard tattooed me. He did an awesome job made sure everything was perfect and tattooed with precision. All the tattoo artists were super cool and friendly. Great atmosphere.

My husband & I visit CDA at least 3-4 times a year, it’s our little vacation spot. We decided on our most recent getaway together that we wanted a tattoo. (My husbands 1st tattoo)I didn’t know of any tattoo shops in CDA, but I know that reviews are very reliable. I stumbled upon Northwest Tattoo & read phenomenal reviews from many many clients. We took a leap of faith and did a walk-in, we were in and out within an hour. We each got about a 3 inch tattoo, very meaningful tattoos. Richard & Doug were very attentive & drew up our tattoos within 10 minutes. I am very happy with mine & my husbands tattoo. We both highly recommend Northwest Tattoo in CDA. Especially Richard and or Doug. Thank you both. 🤗

This place is awesome! I brought my daughter here to get a tattoo and the work by Richard is phenomenal. Were not from around here so it was a risk coming in, but Im definitely glad we did. This shop is rich in history and quality tattoos. Ill be back for myself sometime in the future for sure.

I went into Northwest Tattoo Museum to get my first tattoo done by a professional and it turned out perfect. Im extremely happy! Jay Brown did the tattoo and he was an awesome guy, great personality and super respectful. Also the the shop was super clean. The museum was badass too I learned a lot about tattoo history. Today Tracey did my tattoo and it was absolutely the best tattoo experience I have ever had. My tattoo is exactly what I asked for and her art style is incredible. The shop was clean. The staff was fun. The music was fun. The relaxed atmosphere was everything you want in a tattoo experience. I will forever get all my work done by her. As well as family and friends. I would give more then 5 stars if I could.

I had a GREAT experience with Tracey! It was last minute and she was able to fit me in. I highly recommend her if you are lost and looking for someone in this area to do a great tattoo, who will actually listen to your concerns/make you feel comfortable and not make you feel bad or irrelevant for asking questions or wanting to switch things up a bit. She did a wonderful job and I couldnt be happier with my tattoo. ❤

Amazing! Hubby and I went and got their Halloween flash tattoo for our anniversary. Richard was amazing. Professional. Very friendly. Will definitely be going back for more!

I have gotten nearly all of my tattoos done by Tracey and i will continue to come back! Beautiful, kind, and hilarious woman who does amazing work! She is beyond detail oriented and promises you a good time, everytime ;) It’s like seeing one of your good friends every time you go in. Not to mention, this shop is beautiful and absolutely bursting with tattoo history

Richards work is top shelf. I didnt think I was going to be this happy with my USMC ink. Well worth every penny.

Jay was absolutely amazing. I came in for my first tattoo that I have always wanted on my spine. He was so patient, precise, and artistic with getting my design to absolute perfection to how I was envisioning. When it came time to tattoo, he was swift in getting it done. It came out beautifully and even better than I had imagined. He had good advice during the design process, set up all the equipment in front of me, and used vegan ink. Overall, I had the best experience ever for getting my first tattoo.

Been hearing about this place since I moved to the area about a year ago. Walked inside and asked if anyone had a walk-in time slot, and I was so fortunate Richard was available. His attention to detail was amazing and I loved the colors he chose. He also let me choose what way I preferred to have it wrapped afterwards which I appreciated. Atmosphere was great. 100% will be back!

My son received his first tattoo here. He is 17. Amazing owner, staff etc. He is going back to get another one soon.

Was visiting from Indiana, had a prearranged appointment and already knew what I wanted so, the work didnt take long at all. Love my tattoo, great work. Very interesting there as well. Alot of history displayed.

My brother and I got matching tattoos and had a great experience. This is my second tattoo from here and I will definitely be back for more.

My sister and I had an appointment set up with another artist in the area. She was being difficult regarding the design and just all around wasnt professional. We set up an additional appointment in cda with another artist which also fell through.We hadnt seen eachother in 14 years due to our families relocating so this was a HUGE thing for us. We called this shop and explained our situation. They welcomed us to come in and were absolutely the best people I have had the pleasure of meeting! They worked with us on the design to make sure it was up to par. Our finished work was absolutely phenomenal! I have never regretted tattoo and Im not starting now! This piece is now my favorite and I love the experience we had with these guys!!!!! I cant recommend them enough! Super happy! Thank you SOmuch! You made out reconnection very special!

Came in for an impulsive and admittedly simple tattoo. They got me right in, easy peasy, Richard rules.

I recently got a tattoo from them while they were at the tattoo expo at seven feathers in oregon. They weren’t able to finish it due to some issues but it’s the best one I’ve gotten so far. Will be visiting soon to get more.

This shop has something for everyone. Amazing memorabilia and pieces of history, amazing artists, a friendly and clean environment, and one of my favorite artists jay brown doing cool tattoos on cool people. Hes so nice hell tattoo you if youre not cool also.

Absolutely fantastic place. Took my son to get his first tattoo. Richard did a great job and is a super nice guy. 10 out of 10 for sure. I will be going back for some more ink of my own.

Amazing amount of tattoo history spanning over decades if not a century at least. Jay will happily give you a valuable history lesson on any of the machines, odds n ends, and artwork from prominant members of the tattooing community, plus a sweet tattoo! His entire family has a long history in tattooing and his shop and museum are paramount to preserving the history of the tattooing culture.

Amazing tattoo shop! I was impressed with all the artifacts Jay has, hundreds from over his 30+ years of tattooing its incredible! I would definately suggest checking it out eveb if its just for the free museum. He loves to give tours of his shop and has so many great stories to tell. Def my fav tattoo shop in cda :)

They were all so great! Me and my friends were walk ins and our tattoos were perfect!

Jay and Brea were both very friendly and knowledgeable. The museum aspect of the shop also makes it interesting from a historical standpoint as well as from a tattoo standpoint. I would recommend them highly!

The artists were friendly and very into there craft. They will answer Any question your have and let you know if they are uncomfortable with something or it is out of there wheele house.

Very cool history on the walls. Shop seemed disorganized and dirty. Artist was confused. Asked same question multiple times. I wouldnt book another one here.

This place is killer! The history alone is worth the visit but if that isnt enough than they have the best artists around!
