Awesome place to get tattoos !! Walked in on a Saturday night two weeks ago. Everyone was super nice and welcoming, & they joked around with us. Immediately the atmosphere calms any nerves you may have. We knew what we wanted and they listened and exceeded our expectations! Theyre considerate of your budgets and work with you! It was my friends first tattoo, he got the snake, and the artist made him feel less anxious and was super cool the whole time. He joked around with us and it was a really great experience all together! I got the bats and Im in love! Everyone around me loves it too lol. I totally blanked and forgot to get his name but he was fantastic and Im definitely coming back !!

John was amazing when doing my tattoo. He was so caring during my tattoo to make sure I was doing okay. We talked the whole time which made it easier. He explained everything he did. He even tried to numb my arm after the outline to make my arm more comfortable. My tattoo turned out beautiful. The other artists came by to check it out while he was doing it and then he brought me around the shop to show everyone. All of the other artists were so friendly and respectful.

I went to Ray (Raymond) for my first ever tattoo and he did such an amazing job. He’s such a nice guy and really professional. He made me feel really comfortable. His area was really clean and he had a nice, sanitary set up. Six months later and he’s done all 10 of my tattoos. I won’t trust anyone else now, Ray is the best! He doesn’t overprice either like a lot of shops in the area. He’s fair and honest with pricing. Not to mention he’s so talented! Go see him.

I recently moved to the area and while waiting for my husband to get to town I was feeling like I wanted a new tattoo. On my birthday, I decided why not. I saw the reviews of this place but because I had nothing better to do I wanted to see it for myself. When I tell you Im so glad I did- I am shocked with how much I enjoyed this shop. The customer service was amazing. James at the front desk from the moment I walked from my car to the door made me feel at home and comfortable. I have always went to tattoo shops with friends just to have that kind of comfort next to me and this was the first time I decided why not go by myself and Im beyond satisfied with how it turned out. I didnt know for sure what I wanted but James helped me out. I met my artist Christian and he was extremely helpful. Gave me time to think. And then drew up exactly what I wanted. I could not be happier with the work Christian did. His humor and personality really made the time fly. I can say this is by far the best tattoo shop Ive been to. And I urge everyone to make their own judgement of this shop before dismissing it because a few silly reviews. Im glad I did and you will be too.Very inviting. WILL DEFINITELY be back again- and soon. Love my piece.

Sarah is great. This is a custom piece based on my own drawing-much improved by Sarahs input. She has great rates and a great hand. I trust her judgement and her artistic abilities. Ive gotten 4 micro tats and two smallish tats from her, ans she has worked on a couple of my friends. She is amazing. Go to Freak Show and see Sarah. Tell her Pickles sent ya!

Tamara and Luke were amazing! My friend and I got our eyebrow and tongue pierced, they were extremely thorough in explaining the piercing and healing processes to us. All of the staff were kind and helpful, 10/10 experience. Will be back!!

I came here to get a tattoo on Friday the 13th. The book I looked at had a circle around each tattoo to show what goes w/each tattoo but isnt apart of the tattoo. Well someone apparently didnt know that and now there is an ugly outline around tattoo and on top of that the tattoo was poorly done (one of the legs is messed up, the mini skulls lines are not connected, his head is not a perfect circle, you can see every hesitation line) and the tattoo is also not very deep and will most likely scab off. I got there at 2:28pm and didnt get out of there until 6:16pm. 4 hours for this!!

Shaggy is Ahhhhhmazing and killed my tattoo! He communicated well. He answered all my questions and was super kind. Everything was clean and sanitary. After 6 hrs in the chair I finally have my octopus tattoo completed! Thank you a million times Shaggy! I will be back for more work! You are the best!!

Amazing artists and piercers here. Damn good people. Just got my Gengar done by Mardi Gras and it turned out perfect! Go check him out and get some badass work from him!

Tamara and Luke were awesome helping my friend and I, I had a dermal that was stuck for years and they worked on it until they were able to get it out and change it. 10/10 definitely going back.

Nate was very kind, quick, and professional. Im so grateful for his service. He fixed a job that was done by another business and was very careful. All of the staff was very warm and welcoming. I called 30 min till closing and they told me to come through. They showed genuine concern for my buried studs. Ive never experienced a tattoo shop that was so caring. My husband and I both got tattoos there on Sunday and it was the best experience. They were able to make out visions for the tattoos come to life and turn out better than we thought! Everyone was friendly and seemed very dedicated to their craft!

I had a very good experience here with the piercer named Lua, she was amazing and so sweet, thoroughly informed me of everything I needed to know when I was getting my Medusa. Her cubicle was a safe space for me and my girlfriend, and I will be coming back to her for my next piercings (: I highly suggest going to her at this location if you are thinking of getting any piercings done! Also very reasonable prices. I paid so much more at a Frisco piercing place than I did here.

Took my chances with the tattoo roulette dispenser aaaand was not disappointed! I am absolutely in love with my new floral Scarab addition and thoroughly enjoyed my session with ⚡Pain Princess RahSa Embers🔥I did feel faint towards the end and I was courteously cared for; watered and fed a snack.Anticipating my next encounter at JJ Blacks Freakshows Studio!!!

Amazing. I went in here to have a tattoo touched up and fixed and they priced me more than fair, were very chill and talkative, got me in and out in a flash while also not rushing at all, and even sent me out the door with a water. Christian the Artist did amazing work and the owner James was just a very friendly guy all around.

I came in to get a diamond back on my forward helix. I called ahead of time and once I came in, I was seen immediately. My experience with Mardi Gras was so friendly and great! Would highly recommend going here to get your piercings taken care of. Friendly staff with friendly smiles 😊

Lua is an angel and gave me the best experience Ive ever had!!! She looked at my piercing that I had just gotten a couple hours before at a different place in fear that they had botched it, which they did. She was a sweetheart and explained how its supposed to be and what steps to take next. I let her do the same piercing again on the other side and I freaking love it! She took her time and explained everything to me from her process, to the needle she was using, to even breathing techniques to help in the process. She made me feel so comfortable and made my new years night! Only she will be doing any future piercings I want from now on!

Very kind and friendly people. Had to swing in because i had went on a dinner date and anciently swallowed my tounge peircing ball. Ended up going here and the sweet people there hooked me up with a new one!

Called several times but no answer so we went in person to discuss piercing my daughters ears. One of the shop owners (James I believe) said to come back tomorrow as the piercer was out but they could absolutely do it. We did just that but once again piecer had taken off and they didn’t know where they went or how long until they would be back. Then told us they didn’t have the necessary sizes or jewelry to accommodate my 7 year old. Wish they would have just told us no from the start and not waste two days of our time and leaving with a very disappointed little girl. Do better.

I came here with my friends to get a nose piercing about 2 days ago and the experience was awful. I went through A LOT of pain, way more than I thought for a nose piercing and Tink was my piercer. I was genuinely worried about the pain I went through and I knew something was wrong. In the photos you can see how the piercing went through almost the front part of my nose. It was extremely painful and it was bleeding way more than what I expected. I went in the yesterday just for them to tell me that whenever I called, the piercer actually left so when I showed up they were gone and could not help me. They just told me I could come back later that night or the next day. Absolutely no help at all and I had to take it out myself … least they could’ve done was cleaned it and taken it out for me. I would not recommend going here and I would only return for John and the tattoos he does.

I got a belly button piercing with Nick. It was super quick and virtually painless. He walked me through the process of aftercare ahead of time. He was knowledgeable on all things piercings with many years of experience. I would recommend him to anyone!

Awesome tattoo shop. Made me feel at home my first time there. Honestly wasnt going to get a tattoo that day but they made me feel comfortable enough to do so my first time there. Veteran friendly with a Veteran artist 🎨 to back that up (Nio) was very competent and knowledgeable and did his service men justice. Highly recommend Nio and Freak Show 👌🏾

I came in to get my cheek piercing jewelry changed out because of another shop putting it in the wrong spotthe lady was very kind and sweet and the manager was very welcoming from the moment I hit the door step will be coming back!

Ive always gotten my piercings done at Freak Show since I came to Texas. They always did good piercings at an unbeatable price.I just went tonight and had a different piercer named Lua and she was AMAZING. Ive always been very OCD about my piercings symmetry and the last few times I went I always had to make sure to take a close look at where the dots were placed and have them adjusted so I didnt obsess about the piercings afterward. No biggie considering the amazing pricing. Ive had to do this every place. Every place Ive ever had piercings done just eye balled it usually.As soon as she broke out a caliper (I believe would be the name of the instrument used) to measure the distance between each piercing I knew I was gonna be happy. The piercings looked great, perfectly symmetrical, she was friendly, and seemed to be extremely knowledgeable. I hope she stays at Freak Show for my future piercings.I love this place! I cant speak for their tattoos but if youre looking for a great place to go for piercings I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I got my first tattoo here today and it was a such a wonderful experience!! Everyone is very friendly and I felt very comfortable from the moment they welcomed me in. I’m so glad i chose this place to get my first tat, and i’ll definitely be coming back for more. (:

I came for a very personal piercing, and I called the shop prior to arriving to request for Lauren, as she is highly recommended and she did my smiley months back. I was told she would be there when I got there (I didn’t give them a specific time) basically did a walk-in, if you will. When I got there the two people at the front were very courteous and welcoming. Usually most tattoo shops I’ve gone to, I’ve dealt with rude employees, this was not the case for both of my visits. When I got there, I was told that Lauren was tattooing someone, and that it would be a min before she could get to me. I asked how long and they told me about an hour/hour and a half. I didn’t mind waiting for her at all. BUT she made time and squeezed me in her busy schedule and I appreciate that so much! She is so knowledgeable and sweet. She talked to me throughout the whole process and it lessened the pain for me. 10/10 would recommend this shop. I don’t see why anyone would give them bad reviews! They have yet to disappoint me!

I had a very nice experience here. If you’re looking for an authentic tattoo experience with a new age vibe I definitely would suggest here. The artist are so friendly and I love the environment. Definitely worth the time and $$$ I can’t wait to come back. They handled Friday 13th so well considering how many people were lined up out the door! I can’t believe how quick it actually took to get to us. Expected a much longer wait. The owners has a unique sense of humor don’t take everything too seriously. Wish I could rate more!!!

I had such a great experience here. Everyone was super nice and made me feel super comfortable , and not only that , they actually cared and wanted to service me. Ray did my tattoo though, and he was amazing as well. Very determined to get things right and you can genuinely tell he enjoys what he does. He did a hell of a job on my tattoo and I would definitely go back to get something else from these talented and very professional people.

My best friend and I decided we finally wanted to go get tattoos that we’ve wanted for months and and we LOVED our experience! Lauren KILLED my butterfly tattoo, like i am ABSOLUTELY in love with it. Smoke did an AMAZING job on my best friend’s tattoo, and both of us were really super satisfied! Great people, super comfortable environment, wonderful vibe. I’d recommend anyone to this place. 10/10 for sure.

I just got my nose piercing here and I loved the girl who did it! Tink was super open and friendly along with the other girl there. Tink walked me through my piercing and made sure I left with a clean and nicely pierced nose!

I really wanted to be able to give a 5 star review, but with the issues its not possible. The staff is very friendly- really cool and chilled people. I went in to get my piercings and the lady was happy to help and explain everything so I was comfortable with the whole thing. The problem is 2/4 of my piercings werent done correctly. I had to go to another shop today(I was in a rush before work and it was an emergency and I live no where close to the shop) because one side of my septum piercing looked like it was rejecting, because it was super low. The guys there said it had been done wrong but it looked straight when I first got it so I put that one on my own body. However, when they looked at my tongue piercings they immediately cringed. My snake eyes were no where near straight and neither does my other tongue piercing go straight down. When I first got it done, my tongue was super swollen so of course she said it would look straight when the swelling goes down, but it didnt. The piercings were well priced compared to other shops, which is why I went, but cheaper isnt always better. So I texted my original piercers from my hometown to get their opinions and they said the same thing about the tongue piercings. Now I have to remove them, let them heal, and get them redone if I choose to which is just wasted money. Maybe the person I had just wasnt the best out of the rest, I dont know but Ive seen other workers there work on others and it looks great so maybe I shouldve pushed one of them to do it but the work I had done just wasnt it except for my other nose piercing.

Loved my experience at Freakshow. Had an awesome artist named Brandon. He did a good job and it wasnt painful. I like that he took the time to ask what and how I wanted it. All around took about an hour and a half and pricing was decent. All around, I am definitely going back. One tip to anyone going, bring cash. They have an ATM but its fee is like 5 bucks and you can only get out $200.

Highly recommended!!! This is my fourth time getting my nose pierced and for far this is my best experience. I asked a lot of questions and Brandon answered all of them nicely and you can tell he knows what he’s doing. Everything was clean, and he took his time explaining the after care and making sure I understood. If you wanna get a piercing this is your place. Ask for Brandon, he’s awesome!

LUA is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!! She is so professional and definitely knows her stuff! I came in wanting to redo my nose because I felt like my double piercings weren’t symmetrical. She did measurements, markings and explained EVERYTHING in such great detail. She explained if she were to re- pierce my new nose ring, it was so close to the perfect marking, that the piercing could imbed and open the hole!I still paid and tipped even though I wasn’t pierced because from the front desk lady to the guy telling me about specials and LUA, my experience was just so magical. My man is against piercings and he even wanted to be pierced after her speaking and telling us SO MUCH INFORMATION. I’m 27 and have been getting piercings since I was 12 and i have never had better service in my life!! I trust LUA so much. I’ll never ask ANYONE ELSE to pierce me from now on ♥️♥️ LUA literally makes you feel like you are family 🥰🥰

Great shop, really care for their customers and stand by what they do. The place is nice for what it is, Good staff and excellent ink/quality art produced from these artists. I had gotten 2 tattoos that did not heal exceptionally the first time, and it was taken care of firsthand by the artist a little later on. Got me right in the shop to touch them up, turned out marvelous in the end! Almost joined the damn staff but sadly I received another offer. Quality studio.

I got an extremely crooked lip piercing here on Friday the 13th, I did wait a very long time, thats normal for an event like that. The bathrooms were so disgusting they reeked of urine and there were roaches crawling on the floor in the piercing room I had to step on one so it wouldnt crawl on my sandal. They are unprofessional and they do not respond well to criticism or commentary

Got my cartilage pierced a week or so ago and it looks awesome and has been healing well. The piercer was professional and friendly, but may have been a little inexperienced—she still did a good job though! She pierced mine and two of my friends ears and they all came out well. The place itself was pretty grungey but the equipment she used was prepackaged and sterile. I’d probably come back for more piercings since they did a good job and their prices were awesome!

When I arrived there was a guy that passed me to a tattoo artist. When he drew it and transferred it to my hand it wasn’t to bad but still not want I want it.When he finally finished after 3 hours I freaked out because it was a complete different rose.He didn’t have an arm rest, so when he was doing his work he was very shaky and everything he dropped he would continue to use it and his space didn’t look professional like the others around him.The most important part is the line work and it was horrible and a complete different rose then what I originally asked for. I was unhappy after and immediately complained to the manger. And I had to ask not to do the second tattoo I wanted. How unprofessional.

Had a great and fun experience with Noble :) We were at it for hours, and it was worth the wait seeing the time, love, and dedication put into a piece that was important to me, while also having a safe and comfortable atmosphere while doing. Would definitely recommend for sure, and will be coming back again soon (besides for touch-ups obviously 😉 much love ❤ thanks for spending time with me, your passion truly shows.

Oh my god if I could give 100 stars I would! First off the staff is amazing, they are so friendly and down to earth they make you want to stay well after your tattoo is done to just kick it. Secondly the artist there do such beautiful work. The tattoo I got came out perfectly I fell in love with it before she was even done. Plus they took out time to do my spider bites as well they were done better than when they were done the first time. I loved the time I spent there and all the work they did was simply amazing. Based off this experience alone I will absolutely come back for all of my future tattoos and will recommend all of my friends here. Thank you guys!!!!♥️♥️

SHADY BUSINESS !! Unprofessional !! My Daughter made a appointment to come here paid 96.00 bucks upfront then when she arrives they bait and switched her to someone else. They didnt have the right size needle for the tat and then the owners brother refused to refund the money and jerk her around because they couldnt perform the job. After a phone call they agreed to pay 80.00 back. Bunch of Crooks!! Completely Rude and insulting & disrespectful. STAY AWAY!I saw your reply which is a complete lie cuz she never got the tattoo to begin with !!If you want me to take this review off its going to cost you a hundred bucks !!

First off i wanna say that the staff is mad chill, peaceful atmosphere for sure. but, i got a double piercing in my nose. not even two days after i got my nose pierced i noticed the left side was completely submerged under my skin, then from there they continued to slowly sink. i had a consultation with an old friend of mine who is a licensed piercer, immediately when i showed them they said the bars were extremely small and the rings needed to be moved immediately. i bit the bullet and went to my old piercer who was immediately mortified when they saw the condition of the piercings and said they were small and needed to be removed because each time they sank they made the holes even bigger in my nose. they said the only reason the piercings didn’t immediately sink on the first day or two was bc my nose was still pretty swollen. also told me repiercing that night would only traumatize my nose even more, so both piercings were taken out. (also!! piercings were not evenly placed, one was higher than the other!)

Lua was my piercer she was very kind and I had an absolute amazing experience. She was comforting and great at walking me through the process. Will be coming back for more !!

Amazing experience. The pierced there is one of the only ones I trust to put jewelry in my body. Hes always clean and careful and his piercings are always the least painful I had ever had. The tattoo artists are always immaculate. Beautiful work comes out every day. Honestly go there yourself.

Oh my god where do I even start, me and my cousin went to get matching tattoos. It was her first tattoo and we were told waiting time between 20-30 minutes. Waited for almost 3 hours. Got to the shop around 11:30 didnt leave until after 2am.And the tattoo artist Jim I think didnt listen to a word I said when I said the letter was crooked.Very unwelcoming and a disappointing experience for my cousin. Definitely wont be coming back

I had the best experience with the piercer. She was so nice and made sure to inform me of proper cleaning steps with my new piercing. Front staff was very helpful as well. Really loved the whole vibe there.

I honestly love this place! My review is a bit late but I need to share.I first heard of this shop from a friend and spontaneously went in for my nipple piercings. This place was clean and nice and the guy at the front, I think his name was Scooby, was very friendly and informative. I left very satisfied with the results.I went back about a month later on my birthday for their Tattoo Tap-Out (great deal btw) and got Big Al (highly recommend!). He was very patient with me, does absolutely beautiful work, is light handed and an all around chill dude. The staff did come around occasionally to check on me and the progress, and I believe out of a 7 hour process (I got four tats), we took very few breaks and got everything done by their closing time. I definitely recommend this place for their knowledge of their craft, professionalism, friendliness. This will be my regular spot from now on.

Went on Friday the 13th to get both nipples pierced. Piercer was excellent at his job and despite pumping out tons of piercings he still took the time to make sure they were going to be perfect, which they are. Went back a couple weeks later with questions and for a check up and he took the time to have a look and tell me what to do from that point. It took about two months (typical healing time) but they are almost all the way healed and look great. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing! Nick repierced my belly button, quick, easy, practically painless! He’s a true professional. I’m tipping more than the total! Loved it! Can’t recommend enough tbh.

First off, my wife made an appointment for me with J. We got there early and when the appointment time came, we were knee deep in chit chat. The entire staff is welcoming and engaging. I had watched them sanitize the bed and equipment when I first arrived and eventhough it hadnt been used yet, it was all sanitized again. Ive never been to a tattoo place that cleans as much as they do. Tattoo time comes, over the course of an hour and a half employees were stopping by to talk and joke around. Its like hanging out with old friends up there and thats hard to find.

I had really been wanting to get my nose pierced, but I was super scared. Me and my friend looked up a good tattoo place, and this one came up on the maps. We arrived, and everyone was very friendly. My friend and I walked back to where I was going to get the piercing done, and I was super nervous at this point. The guy who was my piercer, Pete, really calmed me down and made lots of jokes, making me feel comfortable about everything. The room he pierced my nose in was also very sterile and clean and I had no doubt he knew what he was doing. I got my nose pierced, and it didnt hurt near as bad as I thought it would. I would definitely recommend this place for first timers. They are very professional, friendly and comfortable to be around, not to mention VERY reasonably priced. So glad I chose this place for my first piercing!

PLACE IS AWESOME. Got my first tattoo. (BIG AL) Took good care of me. Made sure i was comfortable and let me know what every step was going on. Everyone there is awesome. This place is the best. Been using them for years. The prices are always reasonable. May not be a super fancy shop but they are sanitary. Love the banter between the artists and with other customers. Ive gotten 4 tattoos and 11 piercings with them and plan on going back for more work in the future.

Always love coming here. Prices are extremely reasonable and they are patient and willing to get your idea inked perfectly on the flesh. Highly recommend Paul, he is an awesome and attentive tattoo artist who Ive gotten a couple of tattoos done by. Paul always has a great story to tell and gives a little history behind the arts of tattooing. He pays attention to detail and you can tell that he has a burning passion for tattooing.

Ray Reyes did an amazing job on my tattoo, and made sure I felt completely comfortable with my piece before starting! He was so knowledgeable about placement, aftercare, etc! I would really have to say that this was one of my most memorable tattoo experiences yet!

First off, I am never coming here again. This was the worst display of customer service I have ever seen. Right off the bat, the vibe was completely negative walking in. I could tell people were irritated because no one was helping them as they should be helped. When my group was finally helped the artists said he didn’t want to do any of these tattoos and walked away. Another artist was sent out to us and was acting very irritated with the fact we wanted 3 small tattoos. My group emailed their tattoos and he drew them up without giving us the chance to tell him what we wanted modified. His attitude was very poor when we showed the MINOR change we wanted on the tattoo. He told us that he was not going to change it and that the tattoo he drew up was the one we were getting no matter what. He rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders and told us to take a seat. He rushed through the tattoos and it definitely shows in the quality of it. The employees of this tattoo shop acted as if it was a great inconvenience to have anyone walking through their doors. 0/10 recommendation.

Worst experience of my life. My artist had been drinking. That was no real issue to me. But my tattoo ended up looking NOTHING at all like the picture I showed him. The placement is off. He took multiple smoke breaks keeping me there like 4hrs and to top it off my tattoo got infected. Yep! 7 days of antibiotic, embarrassing pus bumps, severe swelling, lots of itching and scarring of my arm. 21 previous tattoos with no issues. Go there for my 22nd tattoo and now Im literally scarred for life. Its been 2 months and its still sore and irritated. So I cant even try to get someone to fix it.I will say all the workers were actually very nice and welcoming.

I’ve gotten multiple tattoos from here and there all amazing. Line are precise and accurate. Brandon always does my tattoos. He’s my favorite artist and the one I trust when it comes to shading and hard straight lines. He also recently gave me a cover up and I couldn’t even find my old tattoos it was so phenomenal.

Everyone was super nice! I got my septum pierced (first piercing) and the piercer was super nice and helpful! She explained how to properly take care of my piercing. Atmosphere was welcoming and calm.

Came to get my belly button pierced and the piercer had no idea what he was doing, he didnt even clean the area before piercing and on top of that he couldn’t get the jewelry through so he kept digging through my skin.

Had a very great time. I ended up getting a blackout band on my forearm. Zach suggested a open concept theme. He helped me pick and design a theme taking plenty of time to make sure it would work well. Definitely will go back for more

I received a helix/ cartilage piercing in both ears. Shane was professional and calming. My ears look great and minimal pain during and afterwards. This place is amazing!! Went here once just because it was convenient and I had the best customer service and at an extremely affordable price. I had my septum pierced for $15 when most places charge close to $50. I was close to chickening out and the guy was really good at getting me to relax. I recommend all my friends here!

Had to go to hospital . Doctor said the way she(the blonde with box braids ) pierced my belly button was not only slanted but too far up got really infected within two days of getting the piercing. I showered regularly and used the cleaning solution they provided . Was in an intense amount of pain during the piercing and after . She said the belly button piercing should hurt less than your nose. It felt like she was ripping my stomach open . I knew something wasn’t right shortly after I left but was excited to finally have my piercing . I highly recommend going else where . Not to mention we waited 40 minute to fill out paperwork then another 30 to be seen for piercings .

When my nephew passed away at 18 I knew I had to get my first tattoo in memory of him. You see he was born with 6 toes on each foot. So being that was unique to him I had to get it. All I had was a very worn birth certificate for them to go by. A friend recommended freak show so I went. They were awesome!! Treated me like family, heard my stories of my nephew and did an amazing job on the 6 toed footprints. Being my first tattoo, they ensured I was ok with every step they took and even let me take breaks when needed. Id recommend this place to anyone looking for a great atmosphere and even greater artist!!!

Went to the Friday the 13th event for this tattoo shop this year. After a long night and waiting until about 6 am to finally get in the chair to have a tattoo done, every single artist had left except the apprentice. Even his mentor had left before him and no one else was in the shop at all to watch him work. This apprentice has completely ruined my tattoo and botched the work. There was no one to talk to about the work that was done and I feel completely disheartened having this permanently on my skin. It looks nothing like the photo I requested, lines are not straight and have other lines coming off of them leading to nowhere. I cried for a long time about this and feel that if the artist was tired and that is somehow the reason for this poor of work, he should’ve just turned us away.

Dont judge a book by its cover. This place looks a little run down inside compared to other shops, but the artists are great. Its a very relaxed atmosphere and we walked out very happy with our new tattoos.

I got a belly button piercing by Lua and she was so sweet and knowledgeable! James was also very nice at the door I definitely recommend this place and would come back to get pierced again !

Let me start by saying, Its been a few years since I or anyone Ive known has gotten work done there. Jj is an amazing art. I went there because Ive seen his work on other and it was great. I went there and he was going to do my tattoo. Well I waited hours and Jj didnt have any interest in tattooing me. So he had some other artist tattoo me. I looked at his work and my friend got tattoo on me and it looked good so i agreed to it. However when he tattooed me it hurt like hell and I have a high pain tolerance, well the tattoo looked pretty decent. Then the next week or so I had ink pouring out of my leg and Im not talking about the normal amount. There was so much ink that the aquaphor was dark black and purple. I go to get it looked at by another tattoo artist and they tell me they went too deep when tattooing me and pretty much scared me. BTW it was much larger and 20×less painful.SO BASICALLY BE CAREFUL not all the artist at hes shop are professional or even good. If Tony is still there he is great. Jj is an amazing artist but really unprofessional. I mean just check out how he responds to negative reviews. He ALWAYS blames the customer never takes responsibility. Otherwise I would have reviewed higher. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes he could have a great shop with his talent.

Walked in to get a simple outline tattoo. Was promptly greeted and and were able to get started after a short wait. Skai was SUPER fast and her lines were crisp and solid :). I highly reccomend her! This is my go to place for late night tattoos!

Ive sent my son and girlfriend here on numerous occasions. Never again, and I do not recommend. Unless you want to be ignore from the other side of a locked door. We even called. 3 employees the forth walked away couldnt even answer the phone or tell us thru the door why we not allowed in when the shop had been open for 2hrs already. Ive know J and Tony since Contraband. They just stood there and stared like they were drugged out. I wouldnt have trusted them if they had opened the door. Very disappointed. Time to find a new shop.

Prices are very good, Ill give them that. I went in to get my nose pierced and let them do it, but when I asked if the nose ring was a 20g or a 22g, he asked what I was talking about. Said they pierced with a 16g needle, but he didnt know what size the nose ring was, or any of their jewelry for that matter. Im happy with how my piercing turned out, dont get me wrong, but its a bit worrying when a piercer doesnt know the size of the jewelry.

Paul (AKA Jesus) is an outstanding artist. The shop was welcoming and professional, and Paul made my visit a 5-star experience. His disposition was patient, cool, and polite- while at the same time conveying sincere concern over the details of my design, and a genuine interest in my eventual satisfaction. Not an easy piece to execute either- perfect circle involved, very awkward placement, working over inconsistent and very thick scar tissue, etc. I recommend this artist to anyone- from meticulous perfectionists to spontaneous freaks, and from anxious newbies to seasoned ink-junkies. I recommend a visit to the establishment to anyone seeking an A-1 tattoo parlor with both class and character. Worth every penny Freak Show. (Will return when I have more pennies.) 1st off.. You can not judge a tattoo studio by going in on a Friday the 13th.2nd. We were treated with respect and were able to set an appt for a couple days later which was great.. No long lines or annoying teenagers to sit around and listen to them all complain about how long this takes..3rd. The gentleman Al- who did my tattoos was nice.. Enjoyed the conversation and wasnt rushed.The gentleman James- who did my hubs tat was also nice and not rushed.. He loves Star wars and did a great job on the lil ewokk!I will have to go in for a touch up at some point. Mine have faded but my hubs has not.We were never disrespected or treated unfairly.You get what you give. Remember that.

Got my septum done here for $25, pretty cool. The people were friendly, I would recommend. I was lowkey freaking out but the girl who did my piercing was friendly, which made me calm down a bit.

It’s day two and a half after getting a few small tattoos, and three of them are infected, one more is on the verge. Extremely painful and hard to do my job in the medical field because of the pain I’m in. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into a staph infection, but it’s not looking good. Never going back, hope you don’t go either.

If I could give you 0 stars I would. This was most horror and terrifying experience ever. We came to get tattooed first time didn’t know anything about their business. We payed them and agreed on price, then we got switched to another master, that when the horrors begun. 1st he was in jail he told us , then he accused me of cursing him(never happens he made it up to smoke cig). And when we were about to start he pulled us to the side and asked us to pay him more under the counter. The worst thing is that he wasn’t professional at all and could make straight lines . So beware of the horrible rattlers they have. Judge for your self .

EDIT: The response left by the owner is a complete lie & honestly crazy. I have documentation of going to this shop & receiving a piercing, their claims are 100% untrue and super weird/sketchy that they would rather lie than improve their business & safety practices. Stay away from this place!!!Save yourself the trouble & money by going somewhere more professional & reputable! I came to Freakshow with a couple of friends to get a double helix piercing. Not only do you pay cash upfront before the service, but they won’t refund you if you change your mind before getting pierced, either lose the money or get a piercing (which happened to my friend who came with me). After feeling concerned about the piercing & jewelry that was given to me at Freakshow, I began to get a rash that started from my pierced ear & went down and all around my neck not even one day later. I went to a different & more trustworthy shop to have the piercing looked at and was told that Freakshow had not used the appropriate jewelry for my piercing, and the piercings were a bit off with bleeding/bruising/swelling along with the giant rash that began at the piercing site. I ended up paying more money having to get the piercing thoroughly cleaned & the jewelry changed due to the poor quality. The piercer who initially pierced my ear was nice, but it’s not worth it if it’s not done correctly or safely.

Tattoo artist Tatum did a tattoo for me for the flash sale on the day beforeHalloween, she tattood a extra finger on the hand and tried to cover it up with a flower that really isnt flattering.. this cover up scarred my arm and didnt cover her mistake at all. She offered to fix her mistake for free but then suddenly stopped responding to my texts or calls. Unprofessional, rude, and PERMANENTLY ON MY BODY.. absolutely not ok. 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

I got a cover up tattoo on my birthday by shane. He was used to a coil machine and used a pen machine on me, he overworked my arm and I had an infection. no professionalism at all from the owner. I was blamed for it fully and was told I picked at it. I was lucky another shop owner saw and told me to use vitamin oil to help heal the scars I was left with. avoid this shop at all costs. yeah its cheap but not worth you health. its unsanitary and filthy. not even half of the photos I took of what happened now Im paying over 200$ in Hopes of a fix so I dont have to black out my arm.

This shop could be awesome if they got their stuff together. As other reviewers have mentioned, the shop comes across as unprofessional. I went to get a tattoo, and before I had even finished getting out of my car there was someone sticking their head out the door barking tattoo or piercing? I didnt see a touch of politeness until I sat in the chair; all present acted as though my coming in was a big hassle, except for the girl working the counter- she was polite and courteous. An employee was sent to get change for the register, and came back saying hed lost it. They also told me they were out of aftercare lotion, though I could clearly see several bottles on the wall behind the counter.I was originally drawn in by their Facebook offers, but I suppose its like they say; you get what you pay for. If Contraband just held themselves to a higher standard, I would happily return and refer my friends.

Inside is nasty and HOT. Went during a Friday the 13th special fully expecting to wait, which wasnt an issue. We arrive fairly early in the afternoon. Once we picked out tats, it Took forever for our tattoos to be printed because the guy was having a lovely, and seemingly funny, chat on the phone even though there were dozens of ppl waiting, with the line only getting longer by the minute. Left after waiting for almost 3 hours though because it was so hot me and my mom started to feel sick and dehydrated and we honestly didnt like the look of the place. The set up was weird, Kind of junky, the ceiling was disgusting, and it just felt dirty. It honestly reminds me of a trashy junkie warehouse. The 2 ladies that were in front of us the entire time had the same concerns and also left. They also ran out of change so since we left we were out the money for the tattoos AND the change we were owed when we paid in advance.Edit: I just want to point out after the owners reply that I was not talking about it being hot outside. We spent more time waiting inside than out side since we got there fairly early. It was hot INSIDE. Like, no AC on a 90 degree weather day in a crowded building HOT. It literally felt better when we walked outside, on a hot Texas summer afternoon. Also, I wrote this review late because Im a Google local guide and they asked me to.Edit 2: Something is real off with the owner. He keeps replying to my review with different responses and lies. Ive never had a review taken down because I do not write false reviews. I never even got a chance to work with and artist, which Im glad for now. Grow up and take the criticism and learn from it instead of faulting others for your short comings.

Following the last review on this shop, I am a seperate customer but felt the same damn thing. As soon as I walked in to this no ceiling (super unsanitary), pot smelling warehouse I got super bad vibes. The only comforting person in there wasnt even working. There were immediately Constant comments, shrugs and facial expressions that my friend being there was inconvenient for them. We came in for two peircings. First of all we paid first, no refunds. So while we were starting to ask questions and the unknowleged piercer kept shrugging his shoulders, getting frustrated. He even handed us the SHARPIE (toxic) to dot where we wanted it, we couldnt turn back empty handed. We spoke up and eventurally kept outlet mouths shut BC we wanted to leave. The first piercing was sketchy immediately when he didnt clamp the nose, I get shops have different styles and you have to practice to learn but he was not careful and our piercings are literally still throbbing/stinging. The second piercing was a medusa, a very serious and painful piercing. It had to be done 3 times by two different people. Each time having some type of dangerous possibility of puncturing through another part of my friends damn face. The second man that came to help (assuming the owner) was super sweet and comforting but the first one made us leave uncomfortable with EVER going there again. Dont have people working for your shop that dont want to work man. This was a terrible experience. And by the response on the last review, it seams as if Im going to get some sardonic response too. The place seemed cool w artwork, and Im sure it was like a family at sometime, but the piercer with the dermals around his eyes should not be putting anything through anyones body. Even the difference in the pictures on google, to how dark the place got. I dont like to blast people but this was mentally scaring.

No one helped us when we arrived. A employee was eating food right when we walked in. No one knew the prices or where anything was at. My friend passed out and no one really cared or even offered water...just poor customer service.First you put her belly button piercing on crooked, then you give her a crooked poorly done tattoo.Cheap prices but please hire a new manger.Also puppy peed on floor and no one clean it.

Went in with my partner to get a nose piercing as well as a medusa piercing. My bf nose piercing started to have problems. Went to another shop to see what the issue was and the problem was it wasnt pierced right. When the initial piercing was done he stuck it through my bf nose twice which cause the hole to be bigger than what it needed to be therefore his stud kept falling into his nose. Was told to just take it out, let it heal and then if we want to repierce we could. Not only did he not clean our skin before piercing there was no aftercare instructions what so ever. We was just sent on our way... I thought that was odd.

Have been here twice and both times were great experiences. I wish I could remember both artists who worked on me so I could give them a shoutout! Definitely recommend and definitely going back for my next peice!

My friend went in for a piercing and it was HORRIBLE experience.Their work environment is dirty. The piercer kept going in over and over again causing great pain also kept calling for someone to come fix it cause she didn’t know how to. Would not recommend for anyone to come and experience this!!!

I was standing at the end of the counter when you came in with your daughter you were told that you would need to get an affidavit signed showing that youre the parent or legal guardian of the child you had to have a copy of your ID and something to do with your childs ID and had to get a notarized piece of paper Ive been to several tattoo studios across the United States and I can tell you every studio is different this to do freak Show tattoo clearly takes a higher standard and doing things by the law if your child is a minor then your child has to have a legal guardian with them to get any kind of procedure done the fact that all they did was ask you to get a notarized paper and you threw a fit and made yourself look unprofessional and like it any other Hoodrat off the street they handled the situation the best of their ability you asked the question of why and the guy behind the counter responded because some piercings can be considered sexual and they will file charges on people for sex crimes if you actually do your research stuff like that has happened in Texas you cannot be mad or upset over Studio following the law what you need to do is be more concerned with your s***** dressed daughter getting pregnant then worrying about getting her a piercing worried about her education if anyone else reads this I highly recommend the studio ask for Curtis JJ or Jesus to do any of your tattoos youll be more than satisfied I know I am and I got a hell of a deal for $150 for 2 hour on my sleeve work.

I love this place. Always so welcoming and down to earth people. Jj runs a great establishment and the artist are amazing. I would never get a tattoo or piercing anywhere else

ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE!!!!!!First off, when you pull up theres a bunch of shop friends sitting outside in front of the door. I went to get one of my back dimple dermals done and they charged me for another piece of jewelry instead of autoclaving the piece I had brought in that they removed for me before, and then the jewel on the new dermal was bigger than the other side, so I had to buy a new top for that side so it would match, I asked of he would switch them for me he said sure... Then it was only if I tip him and he was NOT POLITE about it. I told him I would tip him and he said why do you need it done now, you have to keep a bandaid on the other side for 30 days anyways, no one will see the difference... Could not believe how rude they were and will never return for any reason.

Sucked rude Asf. They have this petty ass “$50 helper fee” saying that helping the artist do their job is distracting which is understandable, however, we were keeping our friends calm and they kept yelling out “seems like y’all wanna give us some extra money!” Like we’re not telling you how to do your job. Just extremely rude. We were just trying to have fun with them and they were so serious for no reason smh just terrible. 0/10 If it was possible.

I was in there 20 minutes tops, Went in for a Medusa piercing. The piercer was on point, sterile, and informative for after care. Great prices too, Id go here again.

Went to get daith pierced and omg worst piercing ever but Nicky is awesome! The shop is huge compared to most tattoo shops, and prices are a lot cheaper than others.

Do not come here! Would give less if I could! Went for a simple lantern and the lines are not straight and doesn’t look like what I wanted at all. My sister got a small smiley face and the circle was shaky and looked bad. Just simple work and the line work sucked.

Went in on sat night and got an eyebrow piercing and snake bites, shane was wonderful and made sure i was comfortable and made sure the placment of the piercings were just right, which i feel like most places dont really care to much about that, definitely recommend this place 🖤👌🏻

Advertised a special on piercings, so I called and asked about the industrial piercing. The person who I spoke with (I think his name was Jason or Jacob or something like that) made it seem like I was in the clear on the special with my industrial. I drove almost an hour to be told I dont know about any special and then once I showed them the Facebook post, they said industrial is extreme and wouldnt be included. All around not how you should be running a business.

I went here for a piercing and they did an amazing job! Tania, their piercer is really gentle doing her job, she talks to you so that you dont feel nervous at all!

Went in about a week ago with my sister to get a small tattoo done and it seemed like they didn’t want to do it. My sister’s tattoo started to fade away a couple days later and now it’s just ugly. The artists were very rude and sarcastic. The shop looked very dirty and unsanitary with no ceiling , I don’t think I will be going back.

They will Rip You Off then Laugh in Your Face afterwards!!! Very Prejudice against Latinos! Awful awful just horrible! My friend has a half of tattoo to prove it! $300 for an outline! The guy got sick and a month later still not willing to finish it or pay the money back! PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I took my minor child to get a nose piercing, and was told that I would have a notoriety affidavit signed because she was a minor and it was a sex crime according to Texas. What a liar!
