I got my first tattoo with Rico today and he did such an AMAZING job!! Hes also such a cool guy! Im so happy with his work!The shop was incredibly clean and the entire staff was so professional and kind, it really was a great experience! I overheard one of the other artists speaking with another client that was looking to get some scars covered up and he was so kind and caring with her, it really showed how much the artists at Modified Skin care about their clients. I wish I could give this shop an even higher rating, they were all so great to work with. I cant wait to get my next tattoo done there!

I’ve been tattooed by Josh and Hunter. Both are friendly, but professional, making sure you get the best quality tattoo. I really appreciate the emphasis they put on not only how the tattoo looks when completed, but how it would look years down the road. Also, I’ve watched Josh coach other artists, and he’s honest, and constructive. His leadership sets an overall good atmosphere for everyone. The decorum in the entrance and lobby are fun to look at, and each artist brings a unique style to their area, which makes the place homey. My absolute FAVORITE thing however…. The place is cleaner than a hospital, and always smells good.

My artist Brandon Carrico has been amazing everytime. A great overall person to work with! He even advised me on a little issue on placement of my tattoo and we ended up moving it to a different spot and making it larger and it was amazing! Very personable and professional guy. 10/10 recommendation.

I came in for a piercing and a tattoo.First off, my piercing was done by Tiffany. She was so endearing, knowledgeable, and comforting. I would highly recommend her, and not just because she was their only piercer. She was such a sweet person, absolutely loved her 🙌I then got a tattoo from Will, both my partner and I did. I had seen his work beforehand, so I wasnt surprised when our tattoos came out very clean and just perfect. He was very personable, absolutely no judgement, and down to earth. If you get a tattoo by him, you will not be disappointed.Overall, the atmosphere of Modified Skin Tattoos was amazing. It was very clean and aesthetically awesome inside. Just looking from the outside of the shop you would have no idea. We also met the owner, and he was very friendly and just a cool dude. We had a fantastic experience and will be coming back for sure.

Tiffany Frost is an absolutely amazing piercer. She is very professional, explains everything from placement, jewelry type, after care, and makes sure you know and understand all of your options. Her studio along with all of the modified team have an amazing vibe. Every professional there is polite and kind. I absolutely love Tiffany and her work. I went in as a walk in and fell in love with the studio and the people were all really nice. Dash helped me out and drew out exactly what I had asked for! He also helped me decide the size that would look better. He was super thorough in explaining everything plus some and I even left with a little goody bag, aftercare instructions, and an idea for another tattoo to come back and have done. I 100% recommend!

Hunter does all of my tattoos & I have been to each of the different places he has worked. Modified Skin is by far the best! The team there is very friendly & down to earth. I had a large tattoo done by Hunter about a month ago. I gotta say his work is just amazing. I was there for about 8-9 hrs ,he makes sure to take breaks and makes sure you are comfortable. The place is super clean too. I have gotten so many compliments on this tattoo, I will definitely be back to see you!! Thank you again Hunter for a beautiful piece of work!!

Tiffany is extremely professional and SO sweet. I got my nostril pierced and I was extremely anxious about it, but her space is welcoming and calming and she talked me through every step. She’s super easy to talk to and the actual piercing was pretty quick and not as painful as I thought it would be. If I decide to get any other piercings in the future, I would love to go to her again!

For tattoos, Jake is your guy. I love his work, love how chill and open to ideas he is. Overall a super good dude who loves what he does.Tiffany is the only person I’ll get piercings from, and anyone that asks me about getting piercings I send them too her. Very thorough, super nice, and welcoming, she explains and walks and talks you through the whole process. Very straight cut when it comes to after care. Ive gotten many tattoos from here as well as I just got a piercing. Tiffany Frost is absolutely amazing! I got my conch pierced and was worried about getting anything else pierced because of a prior experience with someone else. She was super friendly and explained everything before she did it. She really helped to calm my nerves. I just recently went back to get my bar shortened and that didnt hurt at all either. My 4 year old has been begging to get her ears pierced, so I decided we would both get some ear piercings for Mother’s Day. We went to Tiffany and she was amazing! She walked her through everything step by step. My daughter did not cry at all and was ready for her next ear right away. I definitely recommend Tiffany for your kiddos!

I visited Modified Skin Tattoos for the first time today to get new nose jewelry put in since I had trouble doing it on my own and my piercing was starting to close up as a result. Tiffany took care of me, and she was very friendly and easy to talk to! As she poked a needle all the way through and put a stud in, she thoroughly explained what she was doing. It was comforting how knowledgeable she was about the entire process. I would go back in a heartbeat!

I got my septum done today by Tiffany who was a total sweetheart, so calming, very informative and you could tell she knew her stuff. I wish I hadn’t been so scared to get this pierced my whole life because she made it literally one second of pain. Couldn’t ask for anything better! I should also mention the shop is GORGEOUS on the inside and you can tell they take pride in their craft. Hoping to master my fear of tattoos next because they earned my business!

Talk about an amazing experience. Our daughter got a piercing on Sunday and was so happy and comfortable with her experience working with Alia that she encouraged my wife to go in and have her look at her nose piercing from another shop that wasnt healing. Absolutely no pressure to get service, but Alia was happy to look at it, educate us on what might be the cause, and provide options for my wife to consider. Because of her knowledge and amazing bedside manner, we felt confident with her recommendation and had her redo the piercing with a slight adjustment. The shop is beautiful and VERY clean. There were plenty of areas to wait as well as private rooms for services. Alia changed her gloves after she touched anything that was potentially not sanitized (way more away of what she touched than I would have been) and provided aftercare information and product. Couldnt be happier with the experience and will definitely be recommending this business to anyone that is looking for service.

Stood for good 10 minutes at front to inquire about piercing and called twice but no answer, and we could hear people in the back, but no one cared to come greet us or at least say we are busy.. or anything. I would give 0 starts if it was possible.

My wife and I went to modified tattoo looking at options for getting our not only first tattoo but a tattoo to represent our daughter. We go the pleasure of meeting with tattoo artist Noah. Set an appointment for the next day after giving him some ideas of what we liked and wanted. Upon returning him and the designer Kayla had brainstormed some ideas for us and let’s just say they were amazing. So we said let’s do it. Being out first we was nervous and all but Noah was absolutely amazing and his work is amazing. Got the pleasure of meeting owner and his family as well great group in this establishment. Very clean friendly and took pride in their work and art. Also got a piercing for our niece while there and she said they did amazing with it as well. I highly recommend anyone to check them out and you won’t be disappointed. Great work guys we will definitely be back for some more ink soon.

I got my septum pierced here with Alia. I would absolutely recommend her for all your piercing needs.I had my septum pierced previously from another shop and was deeply unhappy with it. I was very nervous to get it redone, but Alia took the time to make me feel comfortable, safe, and knowledgeable during whole process. By the time it was over I was beyond excited with how it turned out. You can really tell how much she cares about what she does. Mandi is hands down the best artist I’ve ever had. I have 70+ tattoos all over my body and she has done all but 4. She is so light handed and her attention to detail is incredible. I get non stop compliments on my tattoos and it’s all because Mandi is an amazing artist. I have given her the most vague random ideas and she has come up with beautiful artwork every time I asked. Ive gone to Alexis for 6 tattoos now. Shes the first person I think of for new work and the first person I recommend to friends. Shes very talented despite not doing it for very long. Her line work is very crisp and detailed. She designs very deliberately and is really good at communicating with her clients. The shop is a welcoming environment and the staff is great. Everything is sterile and clean, and they take that very seriously. I highly recommend them.

We had an amazing experience at Modified Skin. Alex did my tattoo, and it came out perfect. We went in for a walk-in without a clear drawing of the tattoo and she drew us exactly what we wanted. Her lines were perfect. Josh did my aunt and brothers tattoo and he is so experienced and professional. All around loved this place. Can’t recommend enough.

Only 4 stars because another friend of mine got some tattoos from another artist, and they weren’t the greatest quality or line work and very painful! Josh has done all five of my tattoos and they all look amazing. My last tat Josh and I spent an hour talking through the design as I needed it to be as accurate as I could get it. Everyone there is super professional and try to make you as comfortable as possible. I love it here and everyone who sees my tattoos loves them as the works of art they are.

I wont go anywhere else to get my next tattoo.. Liz came in on a Sunday, her day off, and stayed from 2-9+ (Still working on my friends tattoo). She is super friendly and a perfectionist. Time isnt an issue for her, she just wants the tattoo to go beyond the customers standards. She had two difficult tattoos to do and was not only willing to stay and work for a long period of time on her day off, but did a kick ass job!Josh is SUPER friendly. The environment is top notch and my friend agreed. Laid back and very hospitable. Just a great experience. I absolutely recommend this place. Had a few piercings done here a few days ago (and a few years ago too) by Josh. He was awesome, professional with a great sense of humor. I liked that he didnt give me a count down he just went for it so I didnt have too long to think about the pain. 20/10 would recommend.

Though my tattoo was done by Josh Wiley, the owner, all the artists have particular strengths, yet still growing. Josh is very intelligent, experienced and deliberate artist and human being. Originally went here to have an issue solved that was caused by another shop. Josh and Olivia have gone above and beyond by not only fixing the issue with my piercing, but helping my ears heal and providing me with wonderful assistance with new jewelry and aftercare.I will be returning to Modified Skin for all piercing and tattoos I want in the future.

Avoid this place... If you dont like quality work. They are truly top notch, and Id go so far as to say this shop is the best in the area. They take the cake for originality, and art caliber by far. The shop itself is clean, open, and a fun time in and of itself. Youre not cramped for space, and while youre waiting for your artist to get set up you have plenty of things to look at. They all display their work proudly on the walls, as they should, and thats worth going in to check out by itself! They dont typically have time for drop ins, so make sure to make yourself an appointment. Theyre always willing to make time to discuss bookings & what youre interested in getting though! Expect to pay top dollar, but you get what you pay for. Youre going to walk away with something absolutely incredible :).

Josh is the best artist in the Southern Ohio area.. PERIOD. I relocated from Dayton to Cincinnati and I refuse to go to anyone local because the quality of the work just doesnt compare. It doesnt matter if you are going for your 1st tattoo, or having him work a long term project, he can do it all. The man is simply magic and his artwork (as well as everyone in his shop) is worth every penny, and in my case, also the trip.

I went to see Olivia for my nipple piercings! Being a Queer POC, I’m very selective on the folks that work on my body and Olivia has proven time and time again that she has nothing but love and care for her clients. She took her time to set everything up appropriately, she made sure I was comfortable and checked in on me multiple times throughout the process, she took in my opinion while making sure her professional opinion was explained as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I virtually didn’t feel anything and the clamp was the “worst” part (don’t assume that will be your experience because everyone’s bodies are different!). Olivia made me feel safe and at home with her, her energy is just so calming, caring, and fun! I drove from Columbus, OH just for her and it never disappoints! Thank you for being LGBTQIA+ friendly!Also, there are these badass fish tanks in the shop with GIANT goldfish. Loved those guys too lol.

An overall amazing experience! The shop itself is great, they offer a ton of different services, and the staff works with you to match you up with the right artists for whenever kind of work you’re getting. Definitely planning on coming back sometime!

I stopped in and talked to Dusty. I told him about a tattoo I wanted covered, but no idea what could go there. Without hesitation, he came up with some ideas, drew me a gorgeous tattoo, and removed 13 years of hell I have been wearing on my skin. Highly recommend him and this shop. Ive been getting tattooed for almost 20 years and this place is fantastic.

Alexis has been my tattoo artist since the middle of last year (2018) and she will always be the tattoo artist I trust to do any type of ink work on me. I had a horrible home scratched chest piece for a few years that I wanted covered up. I was getting married and wanted something beautiful for my pictures. I had a consultation with Josh and we set up a time period to get it finished. It went from terrible wings to the most beautiful and colorful hawk piece. I cried when i saw the transformation. He lost a long hard fought battle with PTSD and has received very little honor because of his suicide with the Army.
