Did a lot of research as I wanted to gift my adult daughter with a second lobe piercing. James was awesome. He was helpful, knowledgeable and funny. James put us both at ease with his Dad jokes. My daughter was so pleased with her piercing. Great friendly atmosphere, very clean, would so visit again!

Got my nose pierced in May here and I am very happy with the result! Its straight and looking good. Also, my piercer (I think it was James, sorry Im terrible with names) was great! It was my first time with anything other than a ear piercing and he was totally chill and explained everything to me. Real nice guy!

Got my nasal piercing done today by James. He was so nice and personable! The shop was clean and very comfortable. James walked me through the full process and did an amazing job. I will definitely be coming back.

I’ve had both James and Sergio and they were both great. The place is very clean and they’ve been very sanitary with every piercing. They try to make it as comfortable as possible for you and talk you through it. They both have great personalities and are very down to earth. They also both seem much more knowledgeable than other places that I’ve been to. I had my nostril and vertical labret done. 🖤

I got a flat helix piercing done by James last year, and decided to come back to him for my daith. I knew I wanted a very experienced piercer, and I trusted that he would do a good job. He did a fantastic job with the piercing, explained everything thoroughly, and was a pleasure to talk to as well. If I decide to get additional piercings in the future, I will definitely go back to him. Steel N Ink has a variety of quality jewelry as well, so I will likely return to purchase some in the future. Steel and ink is the only place I will ever get pierced. Absolutely amazing environment and energy. James just did my nips and he walked me through it and made funny comments to keep me calm. Found Steel N Ink Body Piercing on Google and had a great review. Decided to give them a try for the Helix piercing I’ve been wanting for years. Inside is very clean, Serg, the gentleman who did my piercing was very knowledgeable, kind and walked me through everyone. The piercing it’s self was a very smooth process. He walked me through the whole thing and everything he was doing. My appointment started at 12 and I was out by 12:20.The jewelry was all beautiful and good quality. They don’t do hoops for the piercing but when you go back for your 8 week change they can do hoops then.I highly recommend this place if you are looking to get a new piercing.

A little over a year ago i got 3 helix piercings in one sitting, the guy who did them was very kind and gentle with it but super quick. he was helpful with the paper work, picking out jewelry and talking about aftercare. the store is super clean and they sanitize everything very well, i’d highly recommend going here for piercings. my piercings are now very well healed and will be going back to get my 4th soon!

I’ve been coming to steel n ink for almost 5 years for all my piercing needs. I have been pierced by Willow, Serg, and James and I’ve always had a great experience. They are very professional, knowledgeable in their craft, and have always made me feel comfortable. I only recommend this piercing shop to my friends and family and they have been very impressed! The shop is very clean and their jewelry selection is fantastic.I have a unique ear anatomy and James has helped me with what piercings I can do! He has curated both of my ears with pieces that complement my anatomy and works within my budget. The work he does is definitely an art.My style of jewelry leans towards the higher end, but I honestly can’t complain of the prices. If I’m getting a new piercing I want it to be done in a safe environment with high quality jewelry that’ll be buried with me, so it’s worth it to spend more on! They go through prices beforehand so there are no surprises when you’re done.They have you schedule online so they prevent double booking and random walk-ins during your appointment. You will have their full attention and be well taken care of.I also appreciate a good hype-man after a fresh piercing, especially if you go alone. They are very passionate about their work and will be just as excited as you are!

Was a little nervous for my eyebrow piercing but it went so well! Im so incredibly happy with the way it looks and how they answered all of my questions! Its a little pricey but to be honest, its 100% worth it. The place is exceptionally clean, professional, and welcoming. Definitely coming back here for the second!!

From educating you about the jewelry options and what works for the individual to the procedure of piercing to aftercare. So my daughter (7yo) have been stating she wanted her ears pierced for the last 3yrs. Booked yesterday and I am nothing but impressed. Hard to believe two large men, such as they are could be that gentile and compassionate to a girl that doesnt handle pain well. She didnt flinch. Just to note...she complained that it itches... lol. 2hrs later. No pain. Forgot it happened.Couldnt asked for a better experience.

I got my Tragus and Conch piercing done - the piercer was very friendly and he was fast. Totally stress free and he explained everything so perfectly!

I got my first piercing here when I was 15, I’m going on 24 and I will not go anywhere else. Over a dozen piercings later, I’ll always return. James has done all but two of my piercings and I can’t put in to words how amazing he is. Coming from someone who is deathly afraid of needles, I still get excited to go back.Cleanliness and care is a top priority and so is comfortability. If I were to move states away, I’d still come back for any piercing need that I have. Everything heals great, placement is always perfect/where you want it, and not to mention the jewelry selection/quality is amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I had such a great experienced getting my eyebrow pierced and will definitely be going back again for any future piercings.I received a call back less than 5 minutes after calling and booking was super easy as well, they have a large variety of jewelry to choose from and helped me with choosing new balls for my industrial to match with the new piercings colors.The actual piercing process was super fast and as painless as getting pierced could be. By far the best piercing experience I’ve had. I had to get my nose re-pierced three times because of inexperienced piercers and cheap jewelry. This is the only shop that really took the time to make sure they were doing everything right, and the employees could not be kinder or more comforting. I love going here. I’ve gotten my belly pierced and re-pierced (after I was a ding- a -ling lol) both went fantastic!! James was absolutely amazing. I got snake bites (2 piercings, one on either side of my bottom lip) and Im a newbie to piercings. James was very open about how everything was done and how much everything cost before anything happened. Everything was incredibly cleaned and they really take the time to disinfect everything. Serg did such a great job at explain the whole process! how to take care of my new piercing . When I should be cleaning, even told me to change my tooth brush. I booked an appointment with James H and he was awesome! He hyped me and my friend up before and after the piercing and was very quick with it. I’m also prone to fainting and he was very patient with me since i felt like i was gonna pass out at first so it was a nice comforting atmosphere. I love the outcome and would totally come back for other services!

I got my septum pierced by James. He was personable and knowledgeable which definitely helped my nerves! It was also clear that steel n ink places great importance on safety and sanitation. The piercing was quick and easy. I felt a slight pinch of pain with the needle and no pain with the jewelry placement. I am over a week into the healing process now and it is going great! The aftercare steps were easy to follow. Theres been very little swelling, no oozing and only the slightest pain when bumped. I would 100% come back for future piercings.

Originally I came in to see if they take walk-ins and found they do all their scheduling online - not a complaint just an FYI for anyone looking to get in.James was my piercer and is officially my go to guy for all things piercing. He is quick, professional, and friendly.The jewelry options are super cute and dainty which is exactly what I was looking for. It is nice to get quality good looking jewelry right away rather than something you cant wait to change out like I have gotten at other places in the past. Not that the other places had bad jewelry really, just not my style. The jewelry is on the spendy side, but worth it to me.

I came for a bridge piercing and after James examined my nose he was honest that based on my bridge it wouldnt heal well and would likely be a constant headache. He was glad to do it anyway or something else. I was shocked at his openness and really appreciated his advice. I ended up getting a septum and he was so kind and really made me feel at ease. Updated visit. Went this month. The peircing fee is reasonable. Staff was friendly and professional. Good communication. Pricing of the jewelry is where it gets you. Didnt expect it to be quite so much. While I love the peircing, and they explained why they preferred what jewelry, still sticker shock. I just think Ill continue to invest in tattoos over peircings for the pricing. Had a different person than James and he was really good. Not good with names. If u really want the peircing, this is the place to go. They have good quality control throughout the whole process. Its worth the money for the exceptional servicez if you really want the peircing. Better than going to a half rated shop and getting an infection.James was amazing! Im not good with people, and he made me feel at ease and comfortable. I went to Steel N Ink earlier today to get my ears pierced and I have to commend the quality and care put into this business! Everything was clean, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the employees were incredibly kind and helpful. The piercing was done efficiently and I was talked through everything that was being done. Besides being told what to do for aftercare, they also had a pamphlet and an in-depth email detailing anything I need to know now as well as instructing me on what to expect in the future. I would gladly recommend this place to my friends and will definitely be coming back!

So I have been going to James for a few months now. I had some piercings done at a different location and ended up having a lot of issues. Even though I had these issues, James never once made me feel dumb about going somewhere else that didnt do a good job. He has been nothing but helpful and very professional!

It was like I booked an appointment with a very charming and sarcastic Satan, and my septum piercing went awesome and smoothly. Great service. They were quick to respond to a phone call, and made me feel comfortable in my nervous and rebellious excitement. The guy I had has like, 15 years of experience! Thats comforting. (I recommend taking a friend with you JUST IN CASE you faint for the first time in your life -even if its an hour after getting pierced lol. Luckily I brought a friend to drive my shook-self home.)

My daughter wanted to get a second piercing on her lobes and her helix pierced for her birthday. I chose this shop based on the reviews; especially regarding cleanliness and quality products, as those points were very important to me. Years ago, I was silly enough to go to the mall for her initial piercings (trust me, I learned from that mistake). I now understand you get what you pay for; you cant expect quality products on a budget price. As soon as we walked in, it was apparent that this shop was clean and well cared for. James was friendly and answered all of our questions and was very clear on pricing, confirming with us before proceeding. My daughter was nervous and James did a great job explaining the process to her; she didnt even realize he had already done the first needle poke when he did it. He worked quickly, yet we did not feel rushed. We will definitely recommend this shop to others and plan to come back when my younger daughters are older and ready to get their ears pierced.

I have had multiple piercings at this shop done by Willow. First off, the shop is pristine and the whole process makes me comfortable that it is being done as cleanly as possible. They have a wide selection of jewelry (at a wide range of prices as well) so you have many options, whether you want basic titanium jewelry or high end solid gold pieces.Willow has always been friendly, professional, and taken the time to make sure each piercing is performed up to his standards. He makes sure to accommodate for any variances in anatomy and this has helped me avoid any issues with the work done by him. He’s thorough and makes sure things are done right. Personally, I have had a couple piercings done after having issues with rejection and severe scarring in the past (with piercings done at other shops), and he took the time to consider how best to position and pierce me, and it has gone very well.I 100% recommend this shop and even if you have to drive a bit to get there, it is totally worth it. Staff are friendly, professional, and make sure you are taken care of no matter what you’re having done.

They are so friendly, clean and provided an awesome experience for me and I have had no issues with my piercing whatsoever. Some may say its pricey but you pay for the quality and experience! Well worth it!

This was my I lost count on how many piercing I have had done redone. He been the fastest and one of the most friendly piercers I have ever had. Also top 2 of the claimest I had. Honestly disappointed with the customer service. We were the first appointment of the day to get my daughters ears pierced for her birthday. After we good a couple minutes to select the studs we were told to wait while the room and items were sterilized. After several minutes we were ushered to the room where we were told there wasnt much time or all his following appointments would run late. Mind you we showed up when they opened and when we booked there were only open time slots from open until 7pm (aside from the walk-in thats occurred while we were waiting). I asked my daughter to remove her earrings or have him so it so we could ensure the second holes were placed nicely. There was resistance because he would need to rewipe her ears with alcohol and change gloves. Honestly how long does that take!?! After a few more comments regarding time needing to stay on schedule the appointment ended. Definitely did not feel like the piercer was present and dedicated to his current client. For a $150+ thirty minute appointment I was not impressed.

I live hours away and will travel here because Jim is not only an amazing piercer, but also VERY knowledgeable on the piercings, and jewelry. You cant beat quality and HONESTY. The shop wont pierce you if its not a good fit for your body or in a spot that wont heal properly. Ive been told a few of my wants wouldnt work, but he helped me find the ones that would work. I cannot recommend this place enough. I recently brought my 15yr niece in to get her ears pierced a second time for her birthday, and add some new dermals myself. Jim made our experience so fun. She hasnt stopped talking about it, and telling all her friends. Thank you Jim and Steel Ink for being the best!

I was recommended here for piercings, solely due to Willow’s reputation. Sadly, he was out of the country, so James pierced my nose. The WORST experience at a tattoo / piercing shop, ever.Obviously, as with the many other reviews, the pricing is a bit steep, you can get much better quality and service for a valuable, honest price in E.C. elsewhere.However, what bothered me was the extreme lack of professional and how blatantly rude James was when I came back a month later due to a highly irritated piercing. I simply wanted it to be checked out, called and made an appointment online. Showed up and he was a complete (for lack of better words) clown to me. Told me it was irritated from wearing masks, however I work outside and at the time did not wear masks. He went off on some tangent on how long he’s been piercing and he’s this and he’s that and blah blah blah. I then asked for my money back (couldn’t go see without appointment online) which the other guy at the front did refund me, then left. Before I got to my car, I forgot I needed a new piece of jewelry for an ear piercing, just the jewelry, did not need put in or anything. I walked back in and he said as raising his voice, you don’t have an appointment you can wait 20 min. As he was not doing anything, nothing at all, baffled by his arrogance, I just walked out.I went to a different, stand-up piercing shop, that was about to close but they said come on in we will check it out. They reassured me to keep cleaning, no touch etc.I did this for another 3 months and no dice …Low and behold, James did not pierce my nose straight, it was angled, and not only that, since it was a double piercing he ‘forgot’ to inform me that piercing on the knob of nose/closer to tip, is much more risky for infection/trauma because of how thick the cartilage is.Had I would have known this, I would have opted out.This is my honest review, do not go to Steel & Ink unless you get Willow, or perhaps another piercer, but I cannot testify to them. I can testify that James is a clown.I highly recommend Skin Prints in E.C., as they were more than helpful, considerate, respectful, honest and extremely clean… things that were missing at Steel & Ink.

James is super informative and can fit you with something that makes you look and feel great. Im glad I scheduled an appointment because they look out for your health and safety and dont allow walk ins. Definetly making the long drive for more.

I had a great experience to start! The guys were both super friendly, but told me I might have to wait to get my piercing because there was someone else coming in soon. I had an appoint made (which has a $35 cancel fee) We finally got to piercing my nose which he struggled to clamp at the end for minutes. I was in severe pain waiting for him to try and get it on. I leave, and the piercing fell out in the middle of the day on its own, and let me tell you this place is not cheap.

My sister flew up from Florida for my 45th birthday and we decided to get our noses pierced with a tiny crystal accents.They had an amazing selection of jewelry and a lot of Asian art that looked pretty authentic decorated and added to the ambiance of the shop.Serg is never mentioned on thier social media but he did our piercings and was totally amazing to us.Very professional, sterile practices, very gentle and talked us through our anxiety for the piercings.I got a pink crystal and my sister got a clear one. Highly recommend Serg for piercing and customer service! He is kind and professional. On the flip side my mom and I have had several interactions with James that have left a terrible impression. James is always in a rush, rude and abrasive.

I’m super happy with my piercing but was a little confused as to why it costed $170. I could’ve gotten a lil tattoo at that price. I spent $45 booking the appointment online so when I got there I assumed I was going to just pay for the jewelry. I got the basic septum ring, nothing fancy. But when I was done I paid $125.

I got my first tongue piercing here by James and the whole experience was phenomenal! The piercing looks and feels great. Plus their high end jewelry really makes them a step above other piercing places. They are a little on the pricy side but you pay for what you get and I wouldn’t have spent a dollar less. I’m 100% going back for more!

Kinda wish I went to a tattoo shop at home but this was closer (theyre 45$ including jewelry) James I will say was nice though its the pricing that got me. 35 service and online was 40$ and there wasnt anyway I could back out after finding out. It was magically 50$ when I got there just for a standard barbell. When I asked online specifically for the jewelry cost of my piercing and was told a different price in person. So the whole thing cost me 92$ (I gave a small tip so probably 87$ with tax before tip)when if I went to my tattoo place wouldve been 45$ and thats including the jewelry in price. and never had a issue and theyve been in business for about 25 years . They do give you cleaning solution where mine charges 10$ but even with that I just cant justify it .Update to response: I could cancel yes but once you book same day you cant cancel and lose the deposit per the website. And 10$ for after care on top of the 35$ to Pierce and 40$ standard barbell, youre charging is a little excessive. Ive been getting pierced for 10 years and realize growing in prices, but that still doesnt justify it when other places with double experience is charging half what you are and actually give to the option to buy aftercare. I wasnt explained I was being charged for it or asked because I have saline spray at home. It was unnecessary, but thank you for the response so I can clarify how you dont communicate.2nd Update: Regarding the jewelry quality the piercer I was talking about said they only charge 10$ more for titanium and Ive been going to them for 5 years (: so 40$ for yours, and 10 for theirs. The total cost wouldve been 50$ for the titanium quality and that also includes service. Id maybe look into lowering prices and you wouldnt have so many unhappy people. Best wishes.

Jim has done my piercings for YEARS!! Dermals, tragus, septum, nostrils, smiley, nipples (and probably more lol). He is literally the only one I trust!! He has made me feel like family since day 1 and has more knowledge than anybody else I know :) He is definitely the man to go to!!!

I got my nose pierced about 6 to 8 months ago here. Super pleased with the results and I do recommend the spot. The jewelry is overpriced and so was the wound cleaner. 110.96 when all is said and done.Their PR person will get defensive if your opinion is that the jewelry is overpriced and continue to tell you about how they mark it up by 100 percent but only because its the finest metal in all of America and the competition does it too so why shouldnt they.

My roommate and I went in to get our second piercings done on our ear lobe and immediately were treated like we didn’t know anything. After waiting 10 minutes around, the guy finally approached us and explained that our piercings would be $135 dollar ($100 for earring, $35 for piercing). He then went on to explain he’s a very busy man and we need to make an appointment. The earring must have been from God himself. Go somewhere else and save your money.

Willow was very thorough in making sure to be as sterile as possible. The piercing went very smoothly and barely felt any pain. So far my piercing has been healing very nicely. Will definantly go back for my next piercing.

These guys do a great job of piercing whatever you want them to. They offer alot of titanium and have alot of options for any budget. Unfortunately their people skills are pretty rough though, and they tend to rush clients through. Be sure with your decisions. There’s no room to change it, even when theres no hole yet.

The place is clean and Willow seems to know what hes doing...but customer service has something to be desired. If you are a college student with limited funds...youre golden. I have had several piercings from other shops, and by far this place is the worst. I have never been so upset at how he Cons his customers into purchasing product they don’t need. My friend and I were just dumbfounded at how much we had to pay for a ear piercing. Not only do you have to pay $35 for the piercing up front online before you even get there, you have to buy the jewelry which $40 is the cheapest one, and he makes you buy the cleaning solution $10 and finally you have to leave a tip of not your choice, the lowest tip rate is 20%. So when all said and done your paying over $100 for a small ear piercing. The most I’ve ever paid is $25. This is a college town with college students who can barely afford food, let alone $100 for a piercing. Shame on you! Shame, shame.

Piercer was noticeably high when I came in, I had a 12 and 12:30 appointment(s) for lobe piercings, and we didn’t get out of there till 1:45... mine ended up uneven. Very expensive. I was treated like I was stupid and didn’t know anything, even though I already have 8+ piercings 😒The only good thing was that they made sure that the piercings were VERY sanitized.

Willow was awesome! I was very nervous going in because my micro dermalon my face was pulled out of place & needed to be removed. I worried it would hurt, & Id have a big round scar, but he was so gentle I hardly noticed when he took it out & I dont think there will be anything to notice once its healed. He was also very knowledgeable, I learned a lot more about dermals. I will be going back to him for all my future piercings.

I tried to get my earing pierced and booked online. Webstie said $35 + plus cost of earrings to get pierced. Was totally fine with that, checked in and started to pick out the earings I wanted. The cheapest set was $100 which I admittedly did not have with me at the time. When I told the piercer I could not afford that, I was told that the orignal $35 I had paid was only able to be refunded to a gift card. Had they listed the cost of the earing online, I would have never booked it in the fist place and would not have been out of $35.

When I showed up to my scheduled appointment, employees were rude and inattentive. Not a great selection of jewelry. An employee chastised me for cancelling an appointment that I’d only made a few hours before. He specifically told me I’d costed him $100 for that and made me feel like I should’ve spent more money to somehow make up for that. Maybe if he’d been more respectful I would have, but I’d rather spent my money elsewhere.

Willow is a little weird he has always taken care of my wife and I.I feel he is better trained then a lot of other piercers around here especially when it come to piercing out of the ordinary. This is where the others in the area fall short and we have had to re-pierce 2 piercings cause they when not done correctly by other piercers.

Was charged $10 for a simple ball replacement, which I could not get anywhere else besides a piercing parlor. The entire atmosphere seems pretentious. Either you pay a lot, or you pay a lot. There is no cheaper options available because the owner has made the highest quality jewelry compulsory in the entire Eau Claire county. Will not be going back.

It’s a little bit pricier than other shops in the area, but it’s definitely worth it. Their jewelry is high quality, they are super friendly, Super honest, and are open to questions. I’m never going anywhere else again.

Piercing was pretty infected but couldnt get the jewelry out, went in and asked and he didnt really care and told me the back just pulls off... went to Karma where she took it out (the gem twists off, not the back...) and she put in a much nicer gem for half the price, and I havent had a problem since (its been a few months now)... He does fine on the piercings, but once he has your money doesnt really care much. Comes off a pretty pretentious.

Hardly a one. Very rude; asked him to put glass retainers in 6 of my piercings; took out all 6 and refused to put 3 back in. Then my daith wouldnt stop bleeding; he said because it had been pierced poorly. Went to another piercer that day; he replaced the 16 with a 14 without letting me know. Had to wait over an hour for one person ahead of me also. Never going back.
