Walked in the door and got tattoo that afternoon. Which is hard to find mostly. Very friendly people. Very clean. Softer music would have been nice. Not one for that hard rock stuff but thats just my choice. Have really good people with talent working there. Will be going back for a few more tattoos.

Got my septum pierced here today! I’ve never gotten anything pierced besides my ears with a Claire’s piercing gun when I was 5, so I was very nervous. But it went fantastic! Sam was my piercer and they were so incredibly sweet. They talked me through everything and made sure I was comfortable. Everything is very sanitary and my septum seems to be in the correct spot! I love it, thank you so much!

Hannah did great job on my tattoo. She was able to accommodate my special requests, which meant the world to me 💜🩵💜I emailed in my design when making my appointment, and she had it printed in 3 size options, ready to go! Took about an hour, very professional and made my experience awesome.Highly recommend!

I had gotten pierced at Skin Prints many moons ago (early 2000s). I decided a month ago to get my conch pierced and of course went back to Skin Prints.Sam is AMAZING! She is so friendly and explains everything. The piercing itself went great and I have had zero problems with healing. 100% recommend Sam! I will go back to her anytime I’m in the market for a piercing

We had a group of 4 get our first tattoos with Taki. He was fantastic. He had great suggestions on what we wanted and was super patient with us and our questions. The tattoos all turned out great. Even though I have nothing to compare this to, I think he did a fantastic job. Highly recommend Taki and Skin Prints.

Had a great experience here getting a first tattoo. The shop was very prompt in scheduling and discussing design. They made sure we were comfortable and delivered quality service. Zelphia was awesome. Always great to support a long standing female owned business and have a female tattoo artist.

I’m not quite sure what to write here. As I do know the piercer that did my vertical labret. The first time I got it done, it was while she was an apprentice and working under someone else. When she did the piercing while working with him, it healed perfectly and was perfectly placed. Then in December I had to take it out due to a domestic abuse situation, she let me come in about a week later and she redid my lip. This time. She went through the bottom fine, but when she went through the top, it was too close to the top of the lip, and not quite where she had placed the mark for exit. As it swelled (which it did very little of), I did everything I could to get the top ball to not embed in my lip. Then the ball would end up sinking into my lip while I was sleeping and one morning because of it, my mouth was like…glued shut with blood. I sent her the pictures below, and she said that the bar wasn’t the right length, when she had switched to the long bar but it shouldn’t have come almost out of the top of my lower lip. The ball caught on every thing that I put in my mouth…forks, water bottles, soda cans, food…and when my mouth was closed, I had to manipulate my mouth to make sure my upper lip wasn’t sitting on top of it. I ended up having to take it out and it left a really ugly scar on my lower lip.I’ve been very hesitant about posting this since I have been long time friends with Sam, but I hope this can help or go towards improvement.

Ended up going here after my usual shop wasnt responding to emails, and I loved it. Jeremy did an amazing job, and even put on Joe Dirt for me to watch during the tattoo when I said I hadnt seen it. I will definitely be back.

I will start by saying my experience with the people at Skin Prints was great. They were very nice and easy to work with. My issue lies in the quality of their jewelry and work.I have had my conch piercing for 6 months now and it has never not hurt and was still bleeding occasionally. I went on the hunt for a new aftercare solution and ended up at a place with nurses on staff. They looked at my jewelry and immediately knew it was low quality. The prongs and base of the opal stone were sharp and cutting into my ear. They said they could change the jewelry for me and when they put the taper in, after removing the old jewelry, it was clear that the piercing was also at a strong angle instead of straight.The new place gave me a longer post and titanium/gold jewelry and I immediately felt relief!

Amazing work, the artists are all very friendly and the shop is extremely clean! Cant wait to finish my sleeve!

Ive been here for all of my tattoos and have never had a bad experience! Eric did my last tattoo and I get compliments from random people for it all the time. Highly recommend him!

Went in after calling to get a quote for a lip piercing. They informed me right away they had a sale of $20 off any basic piercings. Went there, got 2 piercings instead of one and I ABSOLUTELY love the piercer! He’s sweet, caring and very friendly with everyone. He picked my jewelry out and told me it went well with my skin tone! Went in for my partners nose piercing. The lady did an amazing job with her, and very helpful with both information and keeping her calm. Going to see how her body handles it, but no complaints on our end so far.

Rob is an AMAZING piercer. Hes very kind, comforting, and helped me get my nose ring back in since it wouldnt go all the way through. Turns out the hole on the inside of my nose was pretty closed up compared to the one on the outside, but he was able to open it again. If you ever want to get a piercing, dont go to Karma(its where I first got pierced and they dont do it right, hence why I needed help), go to Rob!!!

Rob is the main piercer here and I have had my paired nostril piercings and a rook done by him. While my nostril’s were healing I noticed a small bump starting to form on one of them, which is not abnormal for me. I messaged him on Instagram and he responded within minutes. I followed the advice he gave me and the bump was gone within days. He is eager and excited to do his job and always makes the process so easy. I couldn’t recommend Skin prints or Rob enough.

I have gotten both a septum and an eyebrow piercing by Rob at Skin Prints Studio and hes done such a great job. I love how welcoming the atmosphere is. I have enjoyed going every time I have gotten a new piercing! 10/10 would recommend and will go again!

I’ve been to four tattoo artist and three different tattoo shops including skin prints now. I was able to get in with Josie, The owner. I had the best experience out of all of the times I’ve gotten tattooed here at skin prints. The staff are very friendly. Josie was friendly and very humble. It was a nice environment. Everyone was very nice and polite. Josie was very kind and made sure what she was putting on my arm was everything that I wanted. I even got a piercing while I was waiting for my stencils to be drawn up and that experience was one of the best I’ve ever had too.Just over all great place, a lot of knowledge. And the work turned out great for the money. You could say they’re on the expensive side but I think it’s worth every penny. I will definitely be going back. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely the best in town! I came to get my doubles pierced and the woman who did them was super nice and very informed. She made sure they were balanced/even and took her time to make sure it was perfect and that I liked it before she did anything. She talked me through everything, repeatedly clarified if I was okay and wanted to continue, and answered all my questions or concerns. Will definitely return again and had an excellent experience!

Sam pierced my daughters ears and my nose. Sam was professional, fun, and explained everything so we would understand the process. Given a need for more work, we would definitely return.

Few years ago I had my nose pierced. Recently I went in for a new nose ring and they were so kind and friendly. He suggested a stay on back. Great job done. (We had a struggle getting it in. 6/22.I went back after he put a new nose ring in. I had to take it out, it caused a slice inside my nose with the stay on backs. I needed a new nose ring - smaller different - not much of a selection plus purchasing 2 in a weeks time. Wasnt actually the plan. Lol

Always love the people here. Its not too often that I go, but I do highly recommend Samantha for piercings and Zelphia for tattoos.

I got my septum and belly button pierced here and I was not only impressed by the professionalism, but also to the care and attention they give each client! I was recommend to come here by a coworker a couple years ago. Overall, the experience at the time was good, but the work was kind of sloppy. She was super friendly and chatty. 2 stars for that, but she seemed very unsure of the placement and size of jewelry. She had someone else come give their opinion, which I appreciated. However, my piercings ended up way too shallow and crooked, leading to me having to get them redone elsewhere and wasting my money.

I was assigned to set-up a tattoo day for, not only my daughter and I, but also for my sister and father who were coming in from Indiana for the weekend. I contacted Skin Prints because I saw that they had been in the area for awhile and had good reviews. We sent in photos of the tattoos that we were thinking about and had several changes along the way but they were very accommodating! They assigned Taki to us for the day and he did an absolute wonderful job on all of our tattoos!!! He mad us feel very welcome and went over our tattoos with us and wanted to make sure we were getting what we wanted. The entire time we were in his studio he talked with us and made us feel at ease! After, he took time to talk to us about care and wanted to make sure that we did not have any questions before leaving the studio!! We talked about our tattoos and about Taki all the way home. This was all 4 of our first time getting tattoos and we were all very impressed!!! We are already talking about getting maybe one or more tattoos and at least the 2 that our in town will be going back to Taki once we are ready!!!

I almost never post reviews for places, but for Skin Prints, I absolutely will. Skin Prints is the only place in eau claire worth going to. One of the oldest running shops in town, also woman owned which we rarely see. Josi and Jenn are amazing. I’ve been pierced by Josi and a few others who’ve worked there, and I will only go to Jenn for my tattoos. She has done 7 (ish? They start to run together) tattoos for me and every one is perfect. The talent in this shop is outstanding. Not to mention, very clean (unlike some other local shops) and professional. The people who leave 1 star reviews for this shop are entitled brats who don’t understand how the tattoo business works. Thank you so much Josi and Jenn for being awesome.

Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is because I personally havent been tattooed here yet. I have seen their work though and it is very impressive. After being disrespected at another shop, it was a nice surprise to be treated with lots of respect as soon as we entered the doors at Skin Prints. They did my consultation immediately and set a date for me. My girlfriend also wanted to get one, but unfortunately, they will not tattoo the hands or neck unless you have full sleeves, which I dont fully understand. Just something to keep in mind. Looking forward to getting inked by them and from what Ive seen of their work, I definitely recommend going here.

Got my upper earlobes and my Helix peirced by Robby, he was the most kind and professional person I could have asked for! Wasnt able to complete my second peircing due to my health but I completely understand and would most definitely have someone care about my health more than the work, thanks Robby!

I have received a few tattoos from Jen and travel all the way from Milwaukee to EC to see her because the quality has been great! She has been very gracious working with me to accommodate my travel needs in the past. But today I received a call regarding my upcoming appointment- and the receptionist started the call with, “Hi, Jen asked me to call you to let you know that if you won’t be able to make your appointment we will have to keep your deposit and you will need to re-schedule and put down a new deposit”.Don’t you want to first confirm my appointment? Then add your policies depending on my response After my response?You just made my decision for me- based on your lack professionalism.oh, and Perhaps you will credit my $100 deposit I told you to keep to the person who is taking my appointment with Jen this Saturday April 24, 2021 at 3pm? Because I won’t be back.This place overall just doesn’t hit the bar of professionalism in my book. Disappointing—- and based on other reviews I expect the same - non- professional response to my review.

Tried to. Were not open when they said they were. Did not return my phone call. When I stopped back to buy a gift certificate the woman outside was extremely rude and sticking her nose where it did not belong. The woman worked at Skin Prints. I am really glad I decided to give them another chance and stop back by there today because now I know how rude and nosey they are. Never again 😒 I figured you would respond the way you did reading other peoples reviews. Always trying to turn your behavior around on your customers. You had no idea where I was going and had no business saying anything to me. You epuld be best off yo mind your own business.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Jenn at Skin Prints. She took my ideas and I ended up with 2 new pieces of ink that were much, much better than I could have imagined. Impressive work, great environment, friendly staff and comfortable surroundings made me a customer for life. Going back soon to have an older, poorly done(somewhere else) tat reworked.

Had a very important tattoo done here for shop minimum by the owner Josie with two other people that did not turn out the greatest. Asked to get a touch up and was told I would have to pay another $70 overall paying $140 for each tattoo that was barley 2 inches. What a rip off. Should of asked around before going here. Have heard lots of people say they would never come here themselves. Lesson learned.

Ive been a loyal Skin Prints customer for well over a decade. They have great artists, who have a range of styles. The shop is clean, the artwork is amazing, and the artists are all tip-notch. There is a reason they have been voted Best Tattoo and Piercing Studio in the Chippewa Valley.

I was admittedly a bit nervous walking into the shop having never gotten a tattoo before. I apologize if I spell his name wrong because I only heard it not saw it, but Toki made me have a spectacular time. Within minutes I no longer felt the sting of the needle as I was either laughing, deeply engrossed with the story he was telling, and having general fun in conversation. He made me feel very informed and in no way made me feel weird for being a first timer. I ended up getting purely text so I cant directly on artistry, but and Im extremely satisfied with my experience. Theres a good chance I end up coming back in for another in the future.

Went in with my aunt for our birthdays, my 18th her 28th, her tattoo was able to be complete, mine wasnt, only for the fact I passed out, but I was taken care of really well and was able to laugh it off and reschedule, loved the work on my aunt and cant wait for what my tattoo finally looks like

Stopped by after work to schedule a touch up. We waited in the lobby for over half an hour without being welcomed to the shop, asked what we needed, or even a quick everyone is busy, well try to get to you soon. They do nice work, but customer service DEFINITELY left something to be desired.

Really frustrated with this business. Went to get piercings with my friend and they Pierced her CROOKED and then OVER CHARGED HER! Like seriously guys?? This was supposed to be a positive experience since it was a big decision for her and it just sucked because of them. Dont go here for a septum piercing cause theyll probably just do it wrong.

I had two appointments scheduled for my friend and i, and they waited two before the appointment to tell me they couldnt do hers where she wanted it. I had left several emails and even called to confirm . Thats Bad customer service . I have been there several times before but I dont think I will be going back.

Lunchbox was great! He explained everything made sure there was enough of a opening to get our tattoos done and his work looks awesome highly recommend

They have good artists but place is pricey and youre definitely not treated as the number 1 priority as youre getting tattooed.

A little diappointed...I had got a tragis piercing and later that night when I was cleaning my ear I noticed he missed his mark, it should have been more in the middle and it is closer to the edge of my tragis.

I walked out with a tattoo I wasn’t happy with what so ever I wanted a star constellation and showed a photo of what I wanted he missed 1 of the 13 stars on my tattoo and the dots are so big and now I have to pay another tattoo artist $70 to try to fix it.

I had a consultation it went smooth I go for my tattoo in November well see how that goes
