We had a lovely experience at Black Moon piercing! The entire process was very smooth and efficient. I felt very reassured when getting my daughters ears pierced here. She had her ears pierced by Dano and he was extremely professional and patient with my daughter! He explained the entire process in detail, answered any and all questions, from before the process all the way to the aftercare. I highly recommend this studio!

I’ve gotten a tattoo here in 2019, and I still love the tattoo— it was very well done. I came back a couple weeks ago to shop for new jewelry for my conch piercing. I found a beautiful gold BVLA Afghan, which was quickly installed by Dano. the staff was friendly and I’ll definitely be back.

I had such a great experience here for my first piercing! The atmosphere of this place is so welcoming and I felt reassured throughout every part of my appointment.My mom and I both got pierced by John, who was very friendly and easy to talk to. He showed us a wide range of jewelry to pick from and explained everything that was going to happen perfectly. The process was so quick I couldnt believe it was that easy! After we were both done, he explained what we had to do for aftercare and answered any questions we had.My mom and I both 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to get anything done!

What a great experience from beginning to end! My daughter’s piercing specialist, Autymn, was very patient with every step - from answering a million questions to helping pick out jewelry that would look good with the shape of her ear and helix. She really helped put my very excited but very anxious daughter at ease. After piercing care was also explained very clearly. Love the cleanliness and overall vibe of the studio too. Excellent experience from start to finish. We actually ended up showing up on the wrong day, and the front desk staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating, rescheduling us right on the spot for an appointment for only 30 minutes later. The studio itself was clean and hygienic, and the piercing artist was meticulous in their work. Throughout the entire process, they were courteous, patient, and attentive. I would recommend this shop to anyone - and likely will.

Such an amazing experience start to finish. I met with Alex who instantly made you feel at ease and welcome. He walked me through the different jewelry options and helped me pick one that worked with my vision. While he sterilized my jewelry I had time to walk around the shop which was awesome. The theme of this location is spooky and is adorned with black magic type items from coffins, jared items (very Dracula feeling), witch craft pieces and incredible artwork. Once my jewelry was ready he brought me to the piercing room and talked me through the steps. The last piercing I had was over 20 years ago at Claires so you can imagine this was whole new experience. After marking my ear and making sure the placement was exactly where I wanted, it was time. Alex again made me feel very comfortable and before I knew it I had a mid helix piercing! Before I left he went step by step about my healing and cleaning process. I cant wait to go back for my downsize appointment and to get another piercing!

This place is so witchy + magical. They have such a cool display of oddities and curiosities! #pickledpuppies 😭John, Val and Victoria were so dope! They were very informative and kind explaining the different gems and piercings they do! They even do teeth gems like what?!😍I impusively picked out this cute simple crystal helix stud. I absolutely love it. It only “hurt” for a moment and then just like this lil uncomfy pinchy feeling for a few hours. Didn’t hurt sleeping on it or washing my hair.John was very clear on his instructions and they are extremely over the top about sterlizing and cleaning which I thought was really reassuring!12/10 recommend the quality and reassurance from Black Moon Piercing.

Just amazing, I had my third lobe pierced by John and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He made sure I was okay and ready before he began to pierce my ears. Prior to this he walked me through everything and talked me through the whole process of how he is going to do it and then the aftercare on my end. Before coming in the room he showed me the options for earrings and described what would be best for my ear type and had me wait a few extra minutes to ensure that his room was sterile and cleaned before having me in it. I would recommend this place to anyone in search of a piercing shop!

Sami did an amazing job with my eyebrow piercing!! I absolutely love it. She made me feel very comfortable and she was very explanatory with the process of the piercing and healing process. 100000/10 recommend. I will definitely come back for all my future piercings!!

I got my navel pierced here and it was the best experience I could ask for. I unfortunately did not have the correct anatomy for the regular jewelry, but they suggested an alternative which was a floating navel piercing. I absolutely love it. They had a wide variety of gems to choose from. The place was very clean and friendly. For the pain scale it was not bad at all. The initial pain lasted maybe one second before I didnt feel a thing. I absolutely love it and it is healing well! Id 100% recommend to come here, and Dano was my piercer. He was very friendly and helpful! 😊

I’ve been pierced at black moon piercing numerous times. I had my labret done by Judes, my nipples done by John and both nostrils done by Nuggetts. I was a little bit skeptical having my nipples done by a male piercer but John made me feel very comfortable and they came out amazing. My only complaint is that I wanted my nostrils to be symmetrical and they came out a bit uneven. I brought this up to management and they completely owned up to it and offered to have it fixed for free by the shop owner. This shop is a little bit pricey compared to other shops but the quality of jewelry and the level of professionalism by the staff makes it worth it. I will continue to use this shop for all my piercings in the future.

John!! the GOAT. got my nipples re pierced and john made the experience fun and comfortable. never had a piercer use such care before. truly the best piercing experience i’ve had! i will recommend john to anyone and everyone that asks bc he’s truly an amazing piercer! 10/10 experience

Came here for a septum piercing originally two weeks ago. Unfortunately there was an issue with the first piercing and it was crooked. John walked me through our options and we decided to try again right then and there. When it still wasn’t sitting correctly, John offered me a refund and we decided to take the jewelry out, let the piercing heal for two weeks, and then start fresh. He was adamant about figuring out what the problem was, and now two weeks later I have a perfect septum piercing. I couldn’t be happier with both the piercing itself, as well as John’s friendliness and level of professionalism. I already knew that Black Moon is extremely reputable shop with rave reviews, and I’m very happy to have experienced it myself!

I went in for my first piercings here and they were great. Autymn explained everything I needed to know in terms of the process and aftercare. She was very professional and knowledgeable and that made me feel comfortable with the whole process. I would definitely come back here for any other piercings and would definitely recommend this place for anyone getting a piercing for the first time.

What can I say….An amazing experience for my daughter. I took my 13 year old daughter for a piercing and Dano was amazing. The place is super clean and he ensured to explain everything to her from start to finish. I wouldn’t hesitate a minute to go back or recommend to anyone looking for an awesome piercing experience. Love this place! The energy upon walking in was so welcoming, and both staff members I interacted with were very kind. The establishment itself was also very clean and inviting. I went in for a navel piercing, but after running an anatomy check I was informed I would most likely not leave with one that would stay. My piercer was Sami and she was amazing, she let me know about the risk of rejection as well as offering me other options that may have worked better for me, which I greatly appreciated. She made a strong suggestion to wait on that specific piercing and allowed me to change what I was getting done that day if I didn’t want to just leave. I ended up switching to a Monroe which Sami was more than happy to arrange with me. She informed me on the risks involved with this piercing as well before anything was set up, which I also appreciate. Throughout that process there was not one moment where I felt uncomfortable in anyway. She answered every question I had, and during the initial ‘consultation’ guided the conversation so I got answers to questions I didn’t even think I had regarding the piercing. Overall, this is a very professional and inviting business, and I would absolutely go back.

Everyone that I had spoken with is super nice and friendly. Dano was my piercer and he was very knowledgeable and I appreciated how he was able to provide me with advice for when I want to change my jewelry in the future. I got my conch pierced and I can tell you right now that it was super painless.Today was my first time being pierced at Black Moon Piercing in Edison and for sure it wont be my last. :)

I absolutely hate leaving negative reviews but this is very much needed. i want to start off by saying the quality of the jewelry is absolutely fantastic and its the only jewelry ive used that did not irritate my nose or reject with my skin but GOLLY is this the worst place ive ever been to get a piercing done! the actual store is nice but is filled with people who cant even look up from their phones for 2 minutes to acknowledge your presence! youre greeted by a woman in the front that prompts you to scan a QR code then pretty much dismisses you to the netherworld. i sat for about 10-15 minutes and waited for alex, who also greeted me with ✨nothing✨.. you dont want to speak to me? okay, FINE. im not really the most social person myself but the least you could do is provide me with a good experience. this is where the 1 star really comes in. i went to downsize my piercing.. he placed in a bar that was WAY too short!!! so short that for only having this in for A WEEK, my piercing area is now indented and severely irritated after it being healed fine before downsizing. i noticed this yesterday and tried to get the piercing out. the part with the crystal was BENT and after an hour of trying to get it out, i had to literally RIP this piercing out of my nose!! i live an hour away from them so its not like i could just take time out of the day to go and get this fixed but for the money spent with this shop ($300 between two visits) you would at LEAST expect decent service. this is a night and day difference with my original piercer, sami, whom made my experience absolutely amazing the first time i came here. safe to say i will NOT be returning here and that this place will be added to the list of horror shops that treat certain customers like dirt on the bottom of their shoes!! (in regard to photos inserted, i made one black and white to show exactly what it looked like, dont mind all the skin impurities)

Black Moon is a beautiful and clean studio with a wonderful staff. Nuggets did my first nasal piercing and he was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. Highly recommend for any piercing.

July 15th, 2024 I had a walk-in with no scheduled appointment and had a greatly eminent experience. First time going to them and in awe by the quality and professionalism carried by each of the staff. I think I greeted John at the receptionist desk who was very helpful and assisted me with getting set up followed by Mason who was very informative and checked in on me to make sure I was getting settled in correctly by completing forms etc. Thank you John and Mason for your receptionist hospitality as it definitely calmed my nerves and made me feel MORE AT EASE. Additionally, the visuals of this piercing shop is everything. The art work, the staff, just everything and everyone so visually appealing and honestly, love to see it. Not to mention with the most humble souls and gracious attitudes. Now, onto my piercing experience with Dano. Wow. Much love n light to you for making me feel comfortable, being patient with me, and being so informative about what I was getting done which was my (Septum and Nose piercing) that took little to no time and was as painless as could be. Dano, you are truly gifted and I hope you continue with your piercing talents because you really know what you are doing. I also enjoyed and appreciated your aftercare tips and the friendly conversation before and AFTER the piercing. Also, I REALLY love how STERILE and clean the shop is along with the staff. Dano sterilized my piercing jewelry for while (maybe 20 minutes) to make sure they were super clean and I LOVED THAT! The more sterile the better! Anyways, Dano, we need more people like you in the world, stay bright and positive. Thank you all who helped me today and wish yall the best of luck with your establishment. I went to this studio to get both my tragus pierced and I have to say I was impressed from the door. The place is very clean and the staff is very professional. After waiting for a brief moment, I met my Piercing Practitioner Sami. This lady has amazing hands, and the most calming and spiritual soul one could come across. She is VERY knowledgeable and makes the process of getting your piercing done a wonderful experience. If anyone is looking to get piercings or tattoos, this is definitely one of the best places in the area. I recommend them to everyone because anyone you get is very versatile and knowledgeable in their field, piercers or tattoo artists. Go there and see for yourself. You won’t regret it!

I had the most fantastic experience today with Dano! I went in to get an intimate piercing and he made me feel so comfortable and clam during the process. He walked me through the entire process step by step, used only sterilized tools, and helped to reassure me every step of the way. He was very educated on the piercing and answered any question I threw his way and explained them with incredible detail so that I would understand everything I needed to know about the piercing. Once the piercing begun he helped me remain calm and used incredible finesse while piercing me which made it easy and pain free! I appreciate his hard work and all he did to help me out today! Amazing experience with Dano with my 6 month old daughters ear lobe piercing! The staff was so informative over the phone about the process that it was no doubt the place I wanted to go to. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I dont have any piercings besides the ones I got when I was a baby so the whole process as a new mom is just overwhelming to start with. Having Danos calm demeanor walk me through the choices of earrings and the step by step process put me at ease. My baby was a champ - more than my mom (grandma) and myself. Thank you Dano! Will always recommend this place!

Dani was very knowledgeable and welcoming. We took my daughter to get her ears pierced at 9 months old. He was so gentle and thorough and made us feel very comfortable with the whole process. I would highly recommend!

Update: Initially gave 5/5, but trying to schedule follow ups has been a nightmare. The first time, I made an appointment with my piercer but when I arrived, the receptionist told me that they never made the appointment, even though I had texts showing that I had an appointment.The second time I tried to have a follow up, my piercer had told me there was a chance she wouldnt be able to see me due to health reasons, but since I had an appointment, someone else would cover my appointment if she was unable to. 20 minutes before my appointment, I received a call from the studio saying my appointment was canceled and the other piercer would not be able to see me. This studio has been pretty unprofessional for a place that charges $200 for a single piercing...Original review: Had my tragus done with Sami and she made the process very stress-free. The shop has a pretty standard offering of titanium/gold jewelry.

I had a very pleasant piercing experience with Autymn. I went to her to get both my nipples pierced. It went so smoothly I was kind of in awe. Autymn is so gentle and precise. I didn’t endure anymore discomfort than necessary. I love my jewelry a lot. My piercings are healing so nicely. The shop is immaculately clean & has a beautiful aesthetic. I love the sitting area it’s very pretty. I will definitely be returning for some other goodies and curations. I trust Autymn she’s legit. A true professional.

My 3 year old decided one day out of the blue she wanted to get her ears pierced.. I knew right away without hesitation that Blackmoon piercing was where I wanted it done! We immediately called and booked with Dano on the same day! He was so amazing with her - from helping her pick out her hot pink opals, to walking her through every step of his process and to actually getting it done with no tears! I dropped into Blackmoon Piercing Edison, NJ over a year ago to get my navel pierced. Dano was my piercer. He was professional and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Dano provided me with thorough instructions for aftercare and healing, and when my piercing developed hypertrophic scarring (piercing bubble) he recommended a chamomile tea soak which remedied the bump and reduced it in size until it went away. At my piercing downsize appointment, he constructed a barbell that was more fitted to my anatomy and better suited to expedite healing. Almost two years since my appointment, my piercing is fully healed and I have switched out the standard barbell to more elaborate pieces. I received the ear lobe piercing service almost 5 weeks ago with Dano and Im extremely pleased with the result. I was able to select the jewelry from different options. He was attentive and helpful in picking the best spot to pierce my ear lobes. I was also able to purchase the saline spray for the healing process of my ear lobes at the location.

First off the place was a vibe!!! very welcoming and clean. I got my naval (belly button) pierced, sami my piercer and made me feel very comfortable and was very informative on how to care for it, it surprisingly didn’t hurt at all and I would very much recommend!!!!

Loved the decor and overall atmosphere of the place!!! It’s my first time getting piercings in general and I decided to do both earlobes + studs. I’m broke so I went for the cheapest package, which totaled to around $250 including tip… *takes a silent pause* Anyway, you can choose your piercer but I opted for a random option. I ended up getting Autymn who was very accommodating and had great bedside manner. Very confident and knowledgeable in her work as well. Although, I was intimidated at first because she was talking a bit fast for me LOL. Nonetheless, she did well in still giving me enough space to process and ask questions. Overall, I really liked my experience. It was smooth, comfortable, and welcoming. Would definitely recommended this place for anyone who is skeptical in getting piercings for the first time :]Should be scheduling a general follow-up meeting sometime soon for ear checkup and any potential adjustments.

I chose to wait till my daughter was old enough to make an informed decision before bringing her to get her ears pierced. And I knew, when that time came, I wanted to bring her to a professional piercer, instead of a teenager at the mall.Her 9th birthday was in January, and she felt she was ready.Sami at Black Moon Studios was recommended and we made the trip to Edison. Jewelry fell out after the piercer assured me it didn’t need tightening. It was $80 for the jewelry alone and I received no help whatsoever.

We needed some help with a bad nose pierce job that got infected 24 hours after was done in a different place. I got into BlackMoon place and Sami was there to help. She is one great person and she helped us remove the bad pierce even tho she was super busy. Everybody in there is super cool and very profesional. Thumbs up!

Ive been a client of Johns for about a year now and he is fantastic! I first saw him on Friday the 13th when he was probably working with hundreds of other clients, and when I came back for a downsize over a month later he remembered me and the small details about myself wed chatted about! No other piercer has ever taken the time like he has! In addition he has helped me perfectly craft my vision for my ears and even helped me fix a mistake made by another shop and turn it into something I really love! He is so professional and kind, truly the best of the best in the industry. I cant recommend him and Black Moon enough, and have done so already to several of my friends. Im so unbelievably glad I found the shop and a wonderful piercer that I can trust !!!!

Me and my mom got pierced here, I got a second piercing and so did she. Unfortunately hers got infected because of dead skin cell development from beforehand...mine closed up because a ✨ certain land✨ made me take it out. But the piercers were amazing and friendly, definitely coming back!!

Got a double helix piercing 2 days ago. Sami was my piercer, and she was amazing! She was super knowledgeable and did a great job. The jewelry is all great quality and they have a nice selection. Highly recommend!

Was there yesterday as a walk in for a helix and they were fully booked so I wasnt expecting anything but they still got me in for a peircing which is just amazing to me and i really appreciate them for that so customer service 10/10 and sami who did my piercing was amazing she was so kind and sweet and walked me through everything explaining the types of jewlery and whay she was actually doing during the actual piercing everything was just amazing and 10/10 would come back

I just got my a cartilage piercing today.John was AMAZING! He was very informative and patient. He is so knowledgeable about all aspects of piercing and jewelry and most importantly he was so gentle. This was my second cartilage piercing. I couldn’t believe how little it hurt. John did NOT do my first cartilage piercing and the difference between the two experiences is massive. If you are thinking about getting a piercing but hesitating…..make your appointment today with John. You will be so happy you did!!!!!

I absolutely adore Black Moon, from getting my septum done to celebrating a Friday the 13th and just having a blast enjoying the immaculate vibes of spooky season with the amazing staff. I got my big goal piercings done by John, and not only was he the sweetest during but made sure it was the most comfortable and informed visit. I had my septum done by Alex Christopher who was equally amazing with informing and patient with my anxious self. I cannot express how kind everyone is from the moment you check-in, waiting if any wait, and selecting jewelry to the piercing itself. Well worth every cent for all your piercing needs - there’s no worry on quality jewelry, safe and sanitary practices, or the security and love each piercer has for their practice.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!! After great experiences here for myself over the past 4 years I brought my 5 year old to get her ears pierced. John was amazing, they healed beautifully, and she loved the jewelry. We were back this week for a replacement after one of her earrings got knocked out at school. They talked us through what to do to keep the hole clean before we came in for the appt, and Brie kept my daughter calm the whole time as she replaced it. Seriously, cannot recommend this place highly enough, every single experience here has been phenomenal!!!Original review:Loved my experience here. I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted done but Alex took the time to show me a bunch of jewelry options and talk me through some different placements, I never felt rushed. The jewelry is really high quality, so it’s a little pricey, but 100% worth it. The shop was super clean, with everyone taking COVID precautions. I’ll definitely be back!

I came in as a walk in, and it was the easiest and most welcoming experience I have had getting pierced. The two people working were clear on guidelines, pricing, and aftercare. Getting the actual piercings was as painless as possible, and Alex checked that placement was correct, that I was alright and able to continue after each piercing. I will absolutely come back next time, thank you!! (piercings done in photos are flat, conch, and septum piercings)

My favorite place to get pierced!!! All of the staff members are extremely professional and welcoming. I have gotten my helix and nostril pierced here and both have been healing great with no problems. The staff members explain the healing process and aftercare in great depth. The shop is clean and it is definitely worth the money you pay to get pierced here.

I had several great experiences here! I first got my conch pierced by Autymn and I love it. I went back to Autymn and broke my no more facial piercings rule to get another nostril piercing. She took the time to really make sure it was even with my old one and they look great. Then I went back again for a philtrum piercing by John. It came out great and the placement is perfect! They are a bit pricey but I’d rather pay more for a place I trust.

I took my 6 year old daughter to get her ears pierced and we were helped by Dano. Dano was amazing! He was professional, friendly and courteous. My daughter was nervous that it wasgoing to hurt but really wanted to wear earrings. Dano made sure my daughter was comfortable by consistently assuring and informing her what to expect, walking her through the steps. I also appreciated the fact that he didnt rush the process and told my daughter that we can pause until the next ear. more pluses were (1) the place was clean, i appreciated again how everything was sanitized before the piercing (2) the place looked so cool. the decor was instagram worthy AND my daughter was so fascinated with the decor. (3) everyone was consistently nice. the girl from the lobby, the other employees who asked if we were being helped while we wait, the person I spoke to on the phone the day prior who gave me information (4) the user friendly website that provided information on what docs to bring for minors.So overall, it was a wonderful experience and I will bring my other daughter too once shes a bit older. Best experience at a piercer ever :3 The store itself was nice and clean and looked amazing, and staff was very kind. I got my snakebites redone done by Dano today since they were messed up the first time at a different place, and he was super nice and professional, and the piercings are looking great 4 hours later! Didn’t take long at all. It was expensive ($200 for me, two piercings) but you get exactly what you pay for; high quality service and care!

Nuggets is the best!!!!!!!!! My partner had his nostril re-pierced and it did not hurt whatsoever, even with old scarring. The healing process was so light and simple that I decided if I would ever jump the gun to do it, it would have to be with him. Got my second lobe piercing done by Nuggetts, he was super nice and patient. Also incredibly knowledgable and answered any questions me or my mom had. Had an amazing piercing experience with the entire staff on a weekend walk-in. We walked in without calling as a group of three and were met with a super friendly front desk staff who found us same day availability, walked us through the whole process and pricing, got out forms all squared away and made us all feel super comfy. We came back and had an amazing experience with Autumn. She is a guest piercer right now but my understanding is she will be going full time soon. Everything was great- clean, organized, meticulous marking and placement, she talked us through each step, let us each have a support person and all in all was one of the best piercing experiences Ive had (and Ive had quiet a few). Black moon piercing is the best and most professional place Ive gotten pierced at. The receptionist was great and super friendly (didnt catch her name unfortunately). She helped me pick out the jewelry for my piercing when I got there. She went above and beyond to make sure I chose a piece that I liked and that had the right fit for me. I also had the pleasure of being pierced by John. He gave me the best experience Ive had so far! He did my left nostril. He made sure I was super comfortable and explained everything he was going to do in the process. I got my septum done here recently by Nuggets. The jewelry was very tight on my nose. I was told to let the piercing heal for about 8 weeks, but after less than 1 week it was so painful from the jewelry being so tight I had to take it out. Please see picture with how red it was. Besides the jewelry being extremely too tight the rest my experience was very good.

Theyre the best! Black Moon took the time to answer all my questions about pricing, payment, appointments, etc. with lots of patience over the phone, and were just as friendly in person. I got to take my time picking out my jewelry in store as well. The shop is well maintained and welcoming. My piercer, Alex Christopher, was incredibly thorough and friendly through the whole process, and made sure I fully understood how to care for my new piercing before I left the shop. Today was my first time going to Black Moon. Honestly, I have never had a better piercing experience. John was a super friendly guy that helped me relax. When he did my septum, I could barely tell anything happened. Super clean studio, great customer service, amazing work! I really liked that I had tons of options for my jewelry- quality, unique jewelry. If I decide to get anything else done- which I just might, I will definitely go back. This place is great - the staff is friendly and helpful, the jewelry is really nice, the shop is cool and very clean, and I had a great piercing experience. However, be prepared to pay a lot for all this! I had my earlobes pierced by Nuggetts (who did an excellent job). The cost of the piercing & studs came out to $220 plus tip. Maybe its because this only my second piercing ever, but I found that price to be pretty steep. Worth it for a professional piercing, but steep. Would still recommend though!

I hope everyone get or ask for Sami!!!! I took my two little nieces to Black Moon to get their ears pierce. They both wanted to get a Helix and Tragus done. I, however, wanted to get a Conch piercing on my left ear. It was our first time there, so we didnt know what to expect. First off, the place is very clean, they have awesome vibe, and the staffs are very friendly. Sami made us feel so welcome and she took her time helping us pick out the right earing. I like that she didnt try to upsell us on anything. As a matter of fact, she only gives us her expert opinions and let us know how much everything will cost before we make our choices. On top of everything else, she is soooooo professional at what she does! She treats her job like its a clinical procedure and rightfully so! She literally took her time sanitizing everything and I do mean EVERYTHING before and between clients. She made our experiences feel as calm and pleasant as possible. If I decided to get more piercings in the future, I would trust/want Sami to do all of them!

Amazing place with an amazing and friendly staff! Walking in, the place is very clean, organized, and professional. My appointment was with the owner Alex, and one of his staff Nuggets. Both very professional and friendly. While in the process of my two piercings I had done today Alex was very thorough with making sure I was comfortable and happy with the placement. He often asked me how I was feeling to make sure I was not sick or dizzy in any way. These two were able to make me laugh after getting a needle shoved through my face! I 100% totally recommend this place to anybody looking for piercings.

Came here to get my daughters ears pierced. Overall, the service was amazing and the piercers clearly understand what they are doing. Sami was also very kind and patient to my daughter who was scared of the needle. However, I must say the cost is way too overpriced. For two piercings, including the jewerly, the total price was around $390. For 14k gold Swarovski crystal studs, each ear ring cost around $150, which is way too much for a ONE small stud. In all, I had a good experience.

Black Moon Piercing is amazing! Alex did the most beautiful job on my 14 year old daughter’s helix piercing, plus her 2 girlfriends piercings! He kept them so calm with his amazing personality! From setting my appointment to the way I was greeted, it was truly the most pleasant experience! They helped me pick the appropriate jewelry for my skin allergies first. Then when I was brought into the piercing room, it was immaculate. When Alex came in and introduced himself, I was put to ease. He explained everything he was doing and continued while it was happening. I didn’t feel anything and it was done very fast. Gave me all the care instructions verbally and on a card with follow up information. Being 43 and my first time in a piercing shop, I never once felt out of place or like I didn’t belong. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I called here several times with questions before and after getting my 6 year olds ears pierced. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Its a very welcoming environment.The jewelry they sell is absolutely stunning with some very unique pieces that you wont find on their website.Sami pierced my daughters ears and let me tell you, besides being extremely skilled, she is just such a beautiful human. She handled my neurodivergent child with such patience and care. The next day, one ear looked like she had the piercing forever. The other ear, which is the side she sleeps on, had a small amount of bloody discharge in the mornings for about 4 days. Zero pain. Zero swelling. Its remarkable how quickly and cleanly they healed. When it came time to downsize the posts, we couldve gone to anyone. I traveled from Staten Island to NJ, specifically to this location to see Sami.

I went here for the very first time to get my nose pierced and I was late to my own appointment woops…. But when I came in, the staff were so nice and welcoming to me. The shop and the staff are good vibes overall ❤️. Today, I went to get my nostril and upper lobe piercing along with my mother who got her nostril piercing. I was very excited but also nervous at the same time. My specialist was Nick. He was simply amazing. Nick made us feel so comfortable and was really patient with us. He realized that I was nervous and constantly checked up on me, asking how I was doing. Nick made the entire experience less painful and I felt less pressure and nervousness. Overall, Nick was such an amazing specialist and it was amazing being a client of his. I’ve gone here three times and each time has been great service! I had Dano for my most recent piercing and he did my transverse lob. He was super nice and told me how to take care of it. I also wanted a tragus and he warned me it wouldn’t heal correctly in my ear which I really appreciated instead of just letting me figure it out myself later on. Definitely coming back again for my next piercing.

This studio is great! When you walk in its really really clean which is always something you look for. The sign in was really quick and simple and all the paperwork I was able to do right from my phone which made it so simple! I got pierced by Sara. She was so professional and really easy to talk to about jewelry and the placement for my piercings. She went through the whole process and made me feel really comfortable. She seriously has magic hands. Ive been pierced before and had swelling and pain and I didnt have either of those after my piercings. Even getting pierced she reminded me to breathe and just made it such a relaxing enjoyable experience. 10/10 I would get pierced by her again!!!!!

I had walked in not knowing what piercing I would like to get and right away after looking at my ear, Dano had an idea of what would fit and look well with the anatomy of my helix and LOVED the idea he had. Still, I am anxious to get piercings despite choosing to get them often, and Dano made sure I was kept aware with what he was doing, why he was doing it and when the needle would be going through my skin. This place is the only place i get my piercings and the only place i would recommend to my friends/family. Yes, the prices are a bit steep BUT you are paying for years of experience, amazing QUALITY jewelry, as well as professional equipment and piercers.

I got my conch pierced recently with Nuggetts. He was professional and talked me through what he was doing the entire time. Surprisingly this piercing wasn’t painful for me and I think it was just because he did a great job from technique to setting expectations to placement.He left the post longer for swelling and was kind enough to just have me stop in, no appointment needed, to change it out after a few weeks.The business itself is incredibly clean and exactly what you’d want to walk into if you’re getting a piercing. I understand they also do tattooing there as well so I might need to consider them for the next time I plan on getting something done.Thanks!

My friend and I came in for piercings by Alex. I was planning on getting my septum however after Alex took a look, he didnt like the cartilage situation in my septum and didnt feel comfortable with piercing it. This level of expertise, care and professionalism is the reason why I chose this studio. I will only recommend Black Moon to anyone looking for piercings. The studio is very clean and professional!Alex pierced my belly button a few months back and I lost the jewelry so I had put some horrible, cheap, externally threaded jewelry in because I didn’t want the hole to close. The very next day I went to Alex to have him put new jewelry, he was super nice about it and got to me quickly. The only place I recommend to my family and friends for piercings.

This place is so professional and they have very skilled piercers! Judes did a great job with my nose piercing and it really didn’t hurt that bad! I was pleased by the fact that Judes walked me through the entire thing while it was happening which helped calm my nerves a bit. The only bit of criticism that I have is around the pricing. I walked in thinking it would be a set price that I saw online but I didn’t realize until I got there that the jewelry price is separate fromthe piercing price. Not a biggie though because it still was affordable. Overall would recommend to anyone looking to get a great piercing done!

They are the best!! From the second you walk in, to the the minute you leave. They were super kind and saw how nervous i was about my piercings. They made me feel safe. Mantis was my piercer and they did amazing. They reassured me every second. I can’t wait to go back for my downsizing! I recommend them to everyone I know!!

I had the best experience getting pierced here! the shop is very clean, staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the piercing process went smoothly. when i was concerned about how my piercings were healing, i was told i could come back to the shop. when i did, Alex saw me right away, took a look, and reassured me everything was healing nicely. very professional, but also very chill.

My friends wanted to get their nose pierced and found this place through a google search and I tagged along to change some piercings and am so happy with our find!We had a great experience , Janette and Marissa were friendly and helpful with all of Jannette’s tips and information and of course our piercer Nuggets!He was friendly , knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. Their nose jewelry is unfortunately not up to par. I went in to get a new stud put in, the piercer was super nice but when I got home the diamond part literally fell out of the stud so I had to go back. Ok fine, it’s a 1 time thing and it happens. They put it back in and I thought everything was fine. Well then a week later when I was in Florida the entire stud fell apart. I called and let them know and asked to 1) speak to a piercer about what I could do and 2) have them replace that piece because clearly it wasn’t a good piece. They told me they’d call me back, never did. I recommend somewhere else if you’re serious about your piercings and want good quality.

Have gotten 3 piercings from Autymn now. She is so sweet, knowledgeable and does an awesome job. Highly recommend, will be getting more!!

I got my daith and triple flat pierced here by Alex. Staff was extremely professional and so helpful! Came here to have my piercing placed back in my hip. I had taken it off the day before for a surgery. Alex was super nice, very gentle and made sure I was ok throughout the process. His apprentice was a sweet girl and very reassuring. Great place with friendly staff. Very strict COVID procedures which made me feel safe. I definitely recommend this place for piercings.

I’ve been here a few times for piercings (second helix, 3rd lobe, nostril, and naval). Every time it’s better and better. Between the amazing jewelry selection and the very knowledgeable piercers it’s one of the best places around. I have recently gone for a floating naval piercing and Judes was my piercer. She was BEYOND sweet and answered all my questions and made me feel super comfortable. She was also super quick with the whole process and I wasn’t there for 600000 years waiting to be seen or pierced. She also explained the anatomy of my piercing to make sure I understood why I was getting the floating naval and not a traditional naval piercing. Her energy was also fantastic and made sure I was ok after when I started feeling sick and made sure to let me know that we are in no rush and to just relax. I would 100000% recommend not only Black Moon Piercing for all your piercing needs, but also Judes. I could not be happier!!

Ive been going to Alex for 5 years, before Black Moon even existed, so believe me when I say he provides the best experience possible to all clients - new and returning. I went here for the first time last year after getting an industrial done by a different place and that is when I met Alex. Although the industrial did not work out for now I know if I ever want to give it a try again then this is the place to go. Alex is such a kind harder person that I knew I would be back to get something new. I decided I wanted to get the right side of my nose pierced since I have the left side already. Im am so glad he was free and was able to do the piercing for me, because I an completely in love with what was done and extremally excited for more to come. This was such a great experience. From the front desk receptionist who was so calming and reassuring. I got a nose piercing for the first time ever! I was beyond nervous but her and Nugget were awesome. Nugget is beyond professional and upfront. He helped me pick out the jewelry and went over the pricing. He was very detailed and real. He calmed me down and we chatted as if I knew him my whole life. Super cool dude! Thanks again for the best experience and making my nose piercing such a great experience.

My daughter had her flat and 2 conch piercings done by Alex today. He was precise on the placement of them. He was also concerned about if she was in pain, he took his time. The place was so clean. The front desk woman was so nice and helpful! We highly recommend them and will definetly be going back!

The piercer who I typically go to at another studio was out and I needed a jewelry change so it was recommended I go here. Was able to get a same day appointment with Nuggets who was very professional. Assessed that the change was needed, thoroughly cleaned is work station, and did the work carefully. Highly recommend.

Alex is great! He takes the time to answer all your questions, and makes you feel so comfortable before, during and after getting pierced. He executed my high nostril piercings (not the easiest or most common piercing to do) with such expertise and professionalism. The space is clean and they carry a wide selection of beautiful, high quality jewelry. Black Moon is truly the best!

Black Moon Piercing is the best place to get anything done. I got both my tongue and snake bites done by Brie, and the experience was amazing both times. My snake bites are so even its honestly like a machine did them. Brie walked me through all the care I needed to make sure everything healed perfectly and Ive had no probelms with anything. They took the time to double and triple check I was ready and made sure I was totally comfortable the whole time. Im definitely going back if I ever need anything else done!

Firstly, I came here with a completely botched set of piercings and Alex was so professional and kind (even though they were not his work) and advised me to take them out to heal and come back a month later. Alex re-pierced me and the healing process was so seamless and I am so happy with the placement. He is really sweet and very good at what he does. I just recently went back to get a few ear piercings and was made an appointment with Payton as the piercer there could not do exactly what I wanted. Payton is so unbelievably wonderful and spent a bunch of time helping me pick out jewelry for a conch and 2 helix piercings. They are beautifully placed and swelling and pain decreased dramatically the next day. Not only is she knowledgeable, she’s also super cool and extremely thorough throughout the whole process. Yes, some of their jewelry is expensive (especially considering some of it is solid gold), but they have no issue telling you the price of any and everything and the jewelry is far superior to what some other studios offer and that helps tremendously in the healing process. Every piercer here seems super experienced and wonderful and I have had nothing but a 5 star experience everytime.

Could not be happier with the ear piercing Sara did for my 11 year old yesterday. She made her feel relaxed and in control the whole time. When it was over, she gave my daughter a certificate of bravery and a stuffie! My kiddo has not stopped smiling, and has had ZERO complaints of discomfort. I feel great knowing that she was pierced by an experienced professional and not a kid working part time at Claires. The shop had a great selection of jewelry- my daughter picked out some gorgeous black opals- and I know shell be happy and comfortable wearing them while she heals.

I absolutely love this place. The store itself is beautiful and clean. The woman who I made the appointment with over the phone, I wish I remembered her name, was so kind and accommodating while I waited for Alex, my piercer for the day. Alex himself was also great. He was very patient and answered all my questions.I ended up getting up getting a dermal piercing and a belly button ring change. He wiped the piercing table before and after I laid on it with disinfectant. He used disposable tools right out of the package. Also, what I thought was really cool, was I overheard they store also has an autoclave!Def. 10/10 would recommend.

Came here for the first time and felt very welcomed. I had John the piercer who made me feel comfortable. He carefully took his time on providing me with information on how to take care of my piercing the proper way and i couldn’t be more satisfied . 10/10 will be coming here again.

I got my naval pierced here, and the first time it was crooked. I went back to get it fixed, and my “fixed” piercing is extremely shallow, after I have healed it. I read so many good reviews, yet for the high price i’ve been left with a ruined piercing twice.

I had a pretty bad experience with this place about a year ago. I got lobe piercings in both of my ears. They both did not heal properly. I took my left one out about 3 months ago because it was still hurting and today I finally took my right one out, so essentially they did not heal for over a year. The piercer seemed to be training someone, and when she marked where to put the earrings she didnt show me so I could confirm that I liked the placing. Also she commented on my second hole saying These are placed weird, where did you get them and then said to the other piercer Other peoples mistakes dont dictate how I pierce. Thats when she pierced my third holes out of line with the second without asking me. On top of that I got white gold studs, which I know would be more expensive, but she trimmed the earrings so the post is so short it doesnt go all the way through my ear. Basically I wasted $300 and I have to wait for my ears to heal to get them re-done somewhere else. For the record I have several piercings that did not have a problem healing, including the weirdly placed ones. I did just look at their website and it looks like this piercer left, so that was probably for the best.

I was really disappointed in my experience with John yesterday. Instead of listening and asking questions, so we could brainstorm a solution to the issues I was having with my piercing, he only gave me options that either would be harmful to my health or bring the shop more money. It was so disappointing because I was looking forward to getting my future piercings done at this shop, but I was left feeling rushed and like I wasted my time, so I had to figure out the solution on my own. I wish he didn’t try rushing me out, and getting irritated when I tried asking questions. Hopefully he treats his customers better in the future.

I had Brie pierce me about a year ago - I went in and wanted something that wouldnt work for my body; so she helpfully coached me through getting something else that I have loved, loved, loved ever since! I had to take them out this week though, for an MRI, and I was too worried about them going back in right that I booked a jewelry change to help reinstall.Not ONLY was Brie wonderful, chatty, and comforting - but between having to re-do (with a different gauge) my newer piercings, and replacing a broken piece of jewelry shes sending back to the manufacturer with a temporary I really like - Ive ended up well-taken care of.11/10 recommend Brie and the crew at Black Moon. I will be back in a few weeks once my earring is fixed to add more and shes already helping me plan the expansion to my ear. Thank you, Brie!!

I went to Dano to get my ear pierced . I actually love black moon piercing because the quality of the jewelry is top tier & the staff are always super professional. Dano helped me with jewelry shopping & answered all my questions & I didn’t feel rushed or pressured into making a fast decision . He allowed me to look and take my time with deciding which jewelry I wanted. I’m definitely going back, and I would recommend this place to anyone. I can’t wait to make another appointment.

I walked in not really sure what I wanted or what would look right with what I already had in my ear. Dan was so nice and patient, made great recommendations and guided me on picking out my jewelry. Im so happy with my new ear piercings and they look great with what Alex previously did.. The shop is incredibly clean and everyone there is so nice. 11/10 recommend and will definitely be going back.

I can’t rave enough about Sara. I came here after getting my first piercing (as an adult) the previous day. I didn’t quite like the placement. Sara advised that I healed and came back but I wanted to wanted to get it over with. She was so professional and led with empathy. She took out my previous piercing cleaned it and informed me how to take of it. She placed my piercing exactly where I wanted the whole time without me even telling her (at the other side of my nose and when I tell you this woman has the magic hands she does! It didn’t hurt nearly as much as the previous day when I got the initial piecing.When I was there she told me about her background as a piercer and I couldn’t have been in better hands. I’m writing this review about 3wks later. No swelling, no infection. I’ll def be coming back just because of her.

Our 2pm appt today with Nuggetts went great! The location was very clean and sterile. The ladies at the front desk were nice and extremely friendly. My daughter got her nose pierced and Nuggetts made sure she was comfortable and liked everything before continuing. The process went fast and there were no problems. I would highly recommend Black Moon Piercing to anyone looking for piercing especially if its someones first time!

After bombarding her with a million questions on Instagram, I booked an appt with Payton for my septum. She was super patient with me answering all my questions. When I came in for my appointment, she was friendly in person and was very calm which put me at ease when I started to get nervous. The jewelry options they have available are all beautiful. The appointment itself went smoothly and I left very satisfied with my new piercing. The shop itself was very clean and Payton sanitized the room before bringing me in. All in all a great experience. Payton was lovely and I would definitely go back to her and Black Moon for any future piercings.

Payton pierced my nostril. (I have had this piercing two times before from other places and never would heal.) This was the best experience!! Payton was so professional and took their time with me as I am so scared of needles. It was all a very professional and super clean moment and Payton talk to me the whole time to ease my nerves. Today I got my bridge pierced by Mantis and I had the best piercing experience I’ve ever had! He is so thorough, great attention to detail, gentle and knowledgeable! I felt so comfortable and I am over the moon with my new piercing! He’s definitely the piercer to go see! 😊

I feel bad being the first to rate below 5 stars but I have good reason I think. Overall GREAT piercing experience and VERY CLEAN. The reason I’m rating below is the following. My friend and I went to go get pierced by Dano. We walked in and got paperwork done right away and didn’t wait long at all on a Saturday so that’s great to know. This was my friends first piercing and I have several so I was experienced and know how it would go down, so I went first to put his mind at ease. I was a little weirded out that we didn’t get to pick our jewelry beyond “clear or colored gem”. In previous places I’ve gotten to pick out exactly what metal I want, and what kind of gem/ball,opal, etc. I didn’t mind too much but if the price depends on the jewelry I would have like to be told I was getting stock jewelry that’s $XX.00 instead of finding out when I paid. I gave them the benefit of the doubt of just starting out their new space and not really having a grasp on demand for piercing jewelry types just yet. We both got pierced and were just told “okay you’re done!” Zero mention of aftercare and healing process. This shocked me honestly, usually piercers never let the client leave without letting them know about how the piercing should heal, any questions, etc. he said nothing, not even to find where the place put the aftercare instructions. I found out 2 hours later that it was in my email release form I filled out when I got there. Like I said I really hate to be the one to give the first 4 star review but this is how it went and I think they should know it’s important to talk about that stuff with every client that walks in and walk them through it more especially if we mention it’s someone’s first time. We both LOVE our piercings and would def go back for the piercing experience itself, super easy and quick. Great job Black Moon, just tiny improvements!

Since I discovered Black Moon, I have only came to them for my piercings. Alex is precise, professional, can make anyone (even first timers with piercings) feel comfortable and has a natural eye for placement. Dano repierced my nipple when one side closed and the process was painless. Everyone here is taught and apprentices under Alex and trust me when I say they are all talented. An incredibly sanitary studio, I have recommended all of my friends to come here, even had my friend get her first piercing here and she was so happy with the studio, staff, and piercing. If I could give this place a million stars I would, I will never go anywhere else for my piercings and jewelry changes. 100% worth it. Trust me when I say you pay for quality here.

I did a Google search for piercing studios near me, specifically looking at cleanliness and expertise. When I called the number from their website, I was originally connected with the Hillsborough location, who reassured me they were all the same business when she booked my appointment. The woman who answered my questions was so kind, patient and helpful. My 9 year old wanted her ears pierced for her holidays and January birthday gift, and I wanted to do things right by her and not go to the mall. I also wanted to treat myself by fixing horrible ear piercings I had gotten at the mall/done myself over 20 years ago in college. I was told that the piercings would cost $80/2 piercings and that was not including jewelry. She told me jewelry ranged from $50-“just over $100” — which I naively thought was for two earrings. So I was expecting to pay $160 + around $200 for jewelry and about $70 for a tip. Brie was wonderful! They were patient with my daughters’ questions and took their time to throughly explain and check in constantly. I am so happy with both of our piercings.The only thing that made this experience not-so-great, and honestly it’s my fault, so I’m sharing because hopefully will help another probably-mom or first timer was the sticker shock. The bill was over half my monthly income as a teacher. Again, I should have verified the costs I was quoted — and I’m sure would have had it explained to me that the price was per piece of jewelry. I want to make it clear that I was NOT ripped off, at all, I just wish that maybe Brie had verified the costs since it was going to be almost $1,000, before starting. Make sure you ask for an itemized cost before you start. I am not irresponsible, and have budgeted for years to afford my tattoos— and I am grateful for the discount Brie said was extended to us, I just wish I had had better foresight to verify my info, as I was expecting half of what the bill was … please consider this a cautionary tale. Not a reflection on what I now know are reasonable prices, just a failure on my part. The piercings are beautiful, and we will definitely be taking good care of the quality jewelry! I have already recommended to my mom’s group and when we are ready for a new piercing will return, but now I know! We are saving up. ☺️

Alex and John are phenomenal piercers, they create such a friendly and funny environment. Black Moon is now my favorite place to get pierced.

Honestly, Im not sure why I havent reviewed them earlier. I went most of my life without piercings, not even my lobes, and about 2 years ago I found Black Moon and got them done, and now I have 7 piercings all within these past like 2 years with many more planned in the future. They are extremely professional and really make you feel comfortable. Ive been there so many times, and can say I will be coming back many more times in the future, and am never switching to a different place.

I came back as a walk-in to get my nose re-pierced. Payton was amazing and took the time to ask how I wanted it, if I would want a hoop in the future, so on and so forth. Payton really makes you feel calm and relaxed when getting pierced. It’s just their personality. The space is clean, open, airy, and beyond welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough!

The only piercing I haven’t gotten here is my first lobe piercing that I got done as a baby. I have a total of 11 piercings, both ears and body included. Alex has done 9 of them. I can understand how it is very difficult to find professionalism specially when doing body piercings, but this is the place to go. Clean, professional, never had a problem with any piercing aftercare. I recommend this spot to anyone who asks me about piercings in the area. I won’t go to anyone else.

I got my septum pierced by Peyton at the Edison location and it was a very nice experience. They were super friendly and easy to talk to, even told me I had a perfect septum to pierce. I was talked through everything that happened before I came in the room and while I was being pierced. I also got my jewelry changed while I was there, which I’ve never had done for me. The entire thing was just a really, really positive experience as I’ve been pierced other places as well. My only slight “issue” would be the pricing at this place, not peytons fault at all, but it is on the pricier side, just FYI! But would rate 11/10!

Came here and got the other side of my nose pierced by Mantis… He made my nose ring so even i am so satisfied. he spent at least 5-10minutes just trying to perfectly line it up and he did AMAZING!!! i want another 2 piercings on my nose & id prefer to get them pierced by him bc i know theyll be even. Brie is a lifesaver. I’m terrified of needles and get very faint around them. Not only did I handle it like a boss thanks to her but I finally got my tongue pierced!!!! It was properly cleaned and sized and went right through with no problem. And afterwords she gave me her card and all the info I need to let it heal and keep it clean. and she has been answering my messages about questions I have about my piercing.
