I love this tattoo shop everyone who works there is so friendly. The minute you walk in u are greeted, in my case Toto helped me out. He immediately asked what i was looking for and started making the stencil i was done in less then 2 hours. Not only that but the shop was very clean and well maintained i felt safe coming here for a tat. Definitely recommend i will be coming here from now on

My first time getting a tattoo here and it was a wonderful experience. The place is very relaxed and comfy. I got my tattoo done by Penny! She makes sure youre happy with your tattoo and makes sure its perfect and detailed to your liking! Very happy with my tattoo!

Very unprofessional, not reliable…made an appointment a week ago for 1 pm today may 5 2024 had the idea for the tattoo the placement of it and ideas of what I was going to get. Been in communication with tattoo artist TOTO during the week he even switched my time for me so it can work for me… the day of the tattoo he texts me saying he’s in Connecticut and running late I went to the shop and sat there for 45 min to a hour and no show or even a call or text to update me . Why make appointments if you can’t make them? Glad I didn’t leave a deposit. Just overall unprofessional and such an amateur act appointments are made for a reason right?

I know Penny from my old job and texted her the premise of what I wanted. Sketched a little picture sent it to her and when I went in we discussed it for all of 2 minutes deciding letter font, size, and symbol design. She even gave me her opinion of the placement and viola! She made my little idea and drawing come to life. Im in love with my tattoo and its been almost 2 weeks. Anyone who has seen it has complimented that its beautiful even though its so simple. I cant wait to go back and I will go back. One of the best tattoo parlors Ive been to. Great experience

Love that place. Penny does my tattoos and they’re always amazing. Izzy did my nose piercings and I’ll be honest I was quite nervous at first but he talked me through it and made it a much less stressful experience, looks great too! The environment is really chill and laid-back while the place overall is very clean. I definitely do not understand any negative reviews because I’ve been there multiple times and never had a bad experience! Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We were referred to tattoo asylum by our son who knew that a friend has gone there & was very happy. So off we went & from the get go staff was very friendly stopping to take the time & listen to what we wanted then offering their artistic spin on things. Izzy was our artist for a rather large lengthy tattoo but the time flew as the conversation was easy & flowing all the time checking on my husband’s comfort level. The detailed heart locket w/key also added our wedding date along w/my name...... all came out PERFECT!!! 5 Stars to Tattoo Asylum w/a 100 Stars to Izzy!!! Can’t wait for him to clean up my existing tattoo & continue to finish it!

Worked with Penny on the design of my first tattoo and she made it a really fun and collaborative experience! She brings a level of creativity and beauty to the process and has made my idea so much better than what I had in my head. She is not about just a copying something that you see on line, but creates a unique and individual experience. She is truly an artist, tattoo and otherwise.

Nice tattoos and friendly staff. Dave will be doing my husbands tattoo for his bday this Friday and we cannot wait!! I got my nieces name tattooed on me by Liam. He was really funny and nice and did a great job. My husband loves his tattoo done by Dave and is very happy. We will be coming back here when its time to get our other tattoos :)

Came here last week for a finger tattoo! I had 2 done one on each hand. So now here comes my mixed review…. The one tat came out great…. The second one he did looks like my 6 year old drew it and it’s embarrassing the least to say! It’s sad because they were nice but now stuck with a tat that looks horrible and will now have to find someone to fix it once it heals….Update to the owner….. I did actually call a female answered and said she would call me back. Haven’t heard back…. And your rudeness is so inappropriate. I am the customer your rude to the wrong person lol! I made a statement and your comment was wrong…

Very kind and chill atmosphere. The artists are very personable and willing to work with what you want. Shout out to Sarah blackwork for tattooing me three times in the span of two days! Will definitely be back🤩

Went here to get pierced. You dont have to make an appointment in advance. They tell you the cost upfront, get you pierced, and you can pay and walk out in less than 20 minutes. They sterilize everything with alcohol and mark the spot with sharpie. The earrings all come sealed. No piercing gun. All the employees are vaccinated, which makes you feel super safe to be in the store. The decor is really nice and bright despite being a tatoo shop.

Liam gave me an amazing ,beautiful tattoo. He is a true artist and very gentle and very precise. Shop is very clean and everyone is super friendly.also had my nose pierced by Liam. Great job , quick and very sanitary .

I came here to get my septum pierced back in october. it was pierced by liam and it came out great! it healed really fast and i love it sm! i would definitely come back here again

Liam created an amazing tribute to my dog. I absolutely love my tattoo! It also covers a scar I have been embarrassed of for years. Now I can proudly wear shorts and not have to worry about covering my scar. Wonderful experience!

Liam is the absolute best. The shop is clean and comfortable. My tattoo came out perfect and my family loved it. This shop is closing, but look for Liam in their sister shop in Rahway.

DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE FOR FRIDAY 13TH TATTOOS!!! It was a joke. They opened at 11, and didnt even let people start coming in until 12. And the 3 little sheets of paper had the worst tattoos i have ever seen. Slow and a waste of an hour waiting in line. I went to another tattoo shop, and they had over 200 to pick from for the 13th!!!! An hour of my life ill never get back. Go elsewhere for friday the 13th tattoos !!!! You been warned !! Your welcome.

I had 2 tattoos done by Jaimie recently - super happy with his work! Definitely my go to guy for all future ink!

It says the place opens at 11 AM, but they ended opening up at 1 PM. My friends and I go in, and the front desk guy tells us the piercer will get there at 2:30 PM & that he will call us when he gets there.. So we go to the mall near by to kill time and its already 3PM & NO CALL. We end up getting a call around 4 something. We go in to get our navel piercing, and well, mine came out SO CROOKED. I fully regret getting my navel pierced here! Its so embarrassing showing it because its NOTICEABLY CROOKED. Terrible, cant believe I did this to myself. Overall, the staff was friendly, but not professional.

The people at Asylum were amazing, friendly, and talented. Jaimie was the best, great to talk to and sick with the tattoo gun. Will definitely return
