Dan has been creating a gorgeous left full sleeve on me and the flowers and dragonflies with ladybugs are just amazing. Dan is an amazing artist and I am so honored to have him working on my piece. Its not completed yet, but hopefully by the end of this summer it will be!

This early June (2023), I had the pleasure in coming into Rorschach Gallery in Edison. I was actually recommended by a close friend of mine and I even went with her a couple months prior went to see her tattoo get done and see what the whole experience and space was about. The whole Rorschach Gallery Team was very easy to work with as well, scheduling was a breeze and they were very responsive and accommodating. Elly, my tattoo artist was amazing and I have no complaints. She made me feel comfortable as well as displaying her beautiful art on myself. I will definitely be back in the future and would definitely recommend to anyone!

Almost 40 and just got my first tattoo. Place was great. Welcoming, friendly, and absolutely by the book. Chris was a great artist and was sure to check placement and had me double and triple check it was what I wanted. While I waited, I saw John be absolutely lovely to a family where someone was getting a piercing. Very happy I chose here.

Just had my 1st two tattoos at this establishment and I feel like a kid. I want to show EVERYONE! Elly was my artist and the amount of detail in these tats are amazing. The place is super clean and the people inside are warm and welcoming. Any one thinking of getting a tat should come here! Take it from a 60 yr old who was hesitant all her life.......DO IT!Here are 2 picks about an hour afterwards.....the glare is the clear bandage.Two weeks prior I also had my ears repierced here and it was a painless procedure. I think I am addicted now......CHEERS!

Stumbled on this place while looking for a new artist and couldnt be happier. Elly did a fantastic job with my first half sleeve and has done an equally fantastic job with the first part of my other sleeve. The studio is modern and clean and staff is great as well. They do a great job of creating a friendly and welcoming environment, which is great for people getting their first tattoos. Highly recommend checking out Elly and the other great artists here for your next tattoo.

I’ve been a regular since 2020, and there’s a reason for it. Rorschach is one of the most professional shops in my area, and it’s no question why Elly’s work is some of my most complimented. The entire shop is friendly regardless of what artists are in, always very clean and sanitary, and they’re super accommodating with shows/movies while you wait so you’re not bored during your visit. I find this especially helpful when I’m getting work done on areas that I can’t text much with. Their front desk, Jeanette, is always down to earth and courteous, though I’ll admit you feel it when she’s away lol. Elly crushed my back piece a bit ago and continues to chip away at my sleeve! Jess also did the wings below my neck. Their artists are incredibly versatile, I can rave about this shop forever.

Had an amazing experience with Rorschach. Everyone there was super kind and professional, and made the process of getting my first tattoo completely comfortable. My artist was Flip and he did 3 tattoos that were in honor of my mom who passed away recently,(One of which was an exact replica of a tattoo she had, and another being a copy of her handwriting). He was very respectful and understanding, and made the whole process so much smoother than I ever imagined it being. Losing my mom is probably the most difficult thing to ever happen to me, and Flip was completley supportive of not just the tattoo, but of the situation in general. I couldnt be happier with the results and I know my mom would be proud of the work he did. I will definitely be going back to him in the future.

Rorschach has some of the most talented tattoo artists anywhere. Theyre super nice and their front desk person is awesome. Scheduling is easy. This time I got a custom tattoo of a kids drawing on a wooden bench. Elly did a beautiful job of making it look great while still making it look like a kids drawing. Im super happy with the tattoo and the experience of getting it.

First time ever going to this tattoo establishment, I did some research before hand and requested Jess to be my tattoo artist for my tattoo of a luna moth. She did not disappoint! She was able to take some rough ideas that I had in my head and made it come to life. The tattoo is gorgeous and so detailed. I defined will be returning!!

Had such an amazing experience with Flip doing my first tattoo ! I came with my dogs pawprint and he gave me the tattoo exactly how I wanted. This guys is the nicest guy ever and he communicates well! I will recommend everyone a beginner or anyone to come get tatted by this guy.

Got a tattoo in early February. Has healed nicely since then! My artist, Jamie, is no longer working here but he was lovely

If Ive said it once, Ill say it again. By far one of the best tattoo shops in the state. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is 13/10. Everyone there makes you feel right at home as you get beautiful work for by their talented - and award winning- artists . A great place for painters to try and sell their artwork as well, with the gallery only taking 10-15% commission. I got all 3 of my tattoos and I hope I can get some more done here!

I got 2 tattoos done with Alex today and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The shop itself had a really nice set up and I liked how they had TVs with movies playing, it was a nice distraction. 100% recommend

I got a tattoo of a moose in honor of my dad after his death and it’s absolutely beautiful. On my forearm and not to big since I have thin marks. Totally satisfied. Place is friendly, peaceful and very clean. Brian is the best!! Thank you. Another satisfied customer. I think I’ll be back.

Rorschach is a great shop, the place is super clean and modern and the staff is all great. I saw Jamie for my tattoo and I will definitely be going back to see him for more tattoos in the future. He took the reference photo I sent in and really elevated it and added his artistic touch. Im so happy with how it came out. Also, the receptionist and Danno one of the piercers even answered a few piercing questions I had while I was there for my tattoo. Overall I had a great experience there and I cant wait to go back.

I got my first tattoo through Dennis 15 years ago at The Ink Spot and I ended up following him to Rorschach where I then proceeded to get tattoos from Dan Ward, Yanni, and Elly - each unique and ridiculously talented and I plan on getting more tattoos from as many artists here as I can! The tattoo artists here are talented on another level and you can tell that they love not only what they do but the people they work with. Each tattoo I have gotten there has been amazingly detailed and meticulously done. They make you feel so comfortable and at ease while you are getting inked. I have watched Rorschach grow from Edison to multiple places and even acquire what was once The Ink Spot where I got my first tattoo. I cannot recommend them enough!

One of the best experiences I’ve had! I went to see Flip for a sentimental piece to honor my late grandmother. He spent so much time perfecting the size, shape, and color whilst also including her handwriting. I loved his work so much that I had to go back for another piece. It’s an amazing experience from the front desk to the finished product. Highly recommend and won’t be going anywhere else for tattoos!

Went to see Jaimie for a portrait of my senior pup that passed away. She was my baby, and this is the most important tattoo on my inked covered body; and Jaimie nailed it. My tattoo so incredibly done, her eyes sparkle, as corny as that might sound. I have my pup with me forever now.

Just got my half sleeve started with Brian and I’m loving the work he’s done so far. The attention to detail is superb! I’m beyond excited to have it finished, but even at the halfway point, I get a lot of compliments.The gallery I went to (Edison) was clean, the staff were friendly and engaging.. awesome environment all around. The receptionist I talked with to make the appointment was super helpful in guiding me to the right artist to help bring my vision to reality. I really can’t say enough about my artist, Sunday Brian. He made sure I was comfortable above all. It was like hanging out with a friend.Pictures to follow when it’s complete.

Made an appointment by phone for ink and piercing. This place is nothing short from great. EVERYONE here made this experience so easy and fast for me. I felt comfortable w talking to them about my concerns and they helped me greatly. Got an E.T. Piece by Jaimie and really the best tattoo I have ever gotten. The quality of work is so fantastic. Pretty much all I have ever wanted in a tattoo. The level of detail for a black and white photo is amazing! Thank you for this.

While attending the Villain Arts Denver Tattoo Convention, I recently had the privilege of receiving a micro portrait tattoo from an incredibly talented artist visiting from Rorschach Gallery, Jaimie Wilson. This masterpiece was more than just ink on skin to me; it was my heartfelt tribute to my beloved dog who passed away, too young, from cancer last year. Jaimie accomplished tattooing this tribute with finesse. The level of detail in the micro portrait is mind-blowing. Every single stroke captures my dogs goofy unique features and personality in a way that brings tears of joy to my eyes. The artists ability to transform a photograph of my furry friend into a work of art on my skin is nothing short of magical. Throughout the whole process Jaimie displayed an exceptional level of professionalism and sincere friendliness. And so humble! He did great to include me in the design steps, prepare me for what to expect during tattooing, and information on the proper aftercare. During the actual tattooing, he also regularly checked in on my comfort level, which was no problem at all. Almost dozed off a couple of times! If you are seeking a tattoo artist who not only possesses exceptional technical skill but also possesses a genuine and compassionate heart, I wholeheartedly recommend Jaimie Wilson at Rorschach Gallery. I am so grateful for this piece, and I will most definitely be getting another one done from him whether it be at another convention or a weekend trip to the east coast! 10 out of 10 Recommend!

I have wanted to get a tattoo for years and was beyond petrified especially of needles. Once my kids were born I decided to stop at Rorschach and speak with an artist. Between Jeanette (at the desk) and Hoagie (the artist) they made me feel comfortable to the point where I decided to book an appt. The experience was unbelievable, Hoagie recommended a cream to keep me calm and not focused of the needles. After a 6 hours session, he brought my dreams to life. Unfortunately Hoagie moved and I met Jaimie who has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Have 6 tattoos now and plan on getting more. I will only come here.Huge shout-out to Jeanette since shes the first point of contact and left a lasting impression.Super happy with all of the work as well

Rorschach Gallery is amazing. I’ve gotten multiple pieces of work done by Elly and they are all amazing. I recently went for a piece on my ankle and I am in love. Her opinion on placement are amazing and she is such an amazing artist. I’ve gotten piercings done as well and they are amazing as well!

Visited Jaimie at Rorschach for the first time yesterday to get the Castle added to my Disney sleeve that we started a few months ago. This new studio is top notch! Everyone was polite, professional & friendly. The place was immaculately CLEAN and of course Jaimie is an amazingly talented artist. We may only have a few more sessions to go on my sleeve but because of his personality & skill, I will return for many more pieces. Even my mother is wanting work done by him!

Went into the shop for the first time today to continue to have my sleeve done by one of their new artist Jaimie. First of the place looks really nice inside. Way bigger on the inside and honestly it has a really cool set up. It’s a really great vibe and everyone is extremely nice there. What you pay there is worth the talent and experience you receive. I can’t wait to go back and get more work done!!

Rorschach tattoo is an excellent shop to get tattoos. The shop is very clean and welcoming. The staff are very nice and friendly. My tattoo artist was Hoagie and I have nothing but great things to say about him. He is a very nice guy and a great artist! He is very patient and worked so well with me to make my ideas come to life. During the tattoo, he was very comforting and gentle, and we had a great time chatting. He was also very cautious in his techniques in keeping everything clean and sterile. His art work he tattooed on me is amazing and so clean. Straight lines, soft shading, and great application. He gave thorough instructions on how to care for the tattoo during the healing process also. I can’t wait to keep coming to Rorschach and to keep working with Hoagie on my tattoos!

The staff here is amazing! Every single one of them is professional, friendly and so great at what they do!Charlie is wonderful and so incredibly knowledgeable about piercings/jewelry and care. I am so glad I got the chance to meet them!Each tattoo artist is incredibly skilled and I cannot say enough good things about them. The studios are extremely clean, organized and neat.

Went to Rorschach Gallery two weeks ago to get my Septum piercing done after my co-workers recommend this place. Everyone there was very welcoming and very professional. I Didn’t have an appointment but they still attended to me as a walk in. Only waited about 10-15 minutes to get my piercing done. Alex Christopher (the piercer) did an amazing job and was also very nice! Fast forwarding two weeks, my piercing is on the path of being fully healed without any issues! Definitely would come back here again and recommend anyone to go here too!

I got my tattoo done by Jessica today. She is a delight! She is warm, welcoming, very kind, patient and a great artist. I will defiantly be having all my tattoos done by her! Would recommend!

Love this shop! Dan Ward aka doodles is a beyond amazing artist. I LOVE the work I have received from Dan. Moreover, I have recommended this shop to fellow tattoo lovers & friends and all are just as happy with the artists & experience they have had.The shop itself is extremely clean and safe. The staff at front desk are both knowledgeable and very professional.I have included some pictures. The 1st 2 pics are my tats done by Dan and the 3rd is on a friend that was also by him. I don’t take the best pictures but believe me in person these tattoos are sharp and clean and are just as bright today as the day completed.I’m counting down to my next tattoo. 😋P.S. AND the piercing shop next door which is part of the gallery, Black Moon Piercing, is also great, clean & professional. The piercings I have from this shop are the only piercings I have had done that didn’t become infected. As a result, I will not go to another piercing spot.

It was an amazing experience and getting not just one, but TWO as my first tattoo both on my left inward and outer forearm. The small Christian fish tattoo on my inward forearm has a small cross inside and can make it look like an eye, though it symbolize my strong Christianity/Baptist faith in the Lord and my savior. The outermost tattoo on my left forearm which is near my wrist is a Japanese hiragana written in vertical as Musō-ka which translates Dreamer in English and since I know a little and some Japanese because of my longtime interest in anime and manga as well as Japan culture, this would suit me very well. Of course, I am also a dreamer person my whole life through and through—I have always been a dreamer so this represents me so dearly.Everyone has been great and professional—just going on as business as usual. Jaimie is and was my tattoo artist and I want to thank you for putting both my tattoo in the exact and PERFECT place on my left forearm! It was great and would love to come back again if I plan to get another tattoo someday. Rorschach Gallery is also a very well throrough place where everyone is kind and professional so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to come to get if you are thinking of getting a tattoo.Thanks again for an amazing time! 👀☺️💯Earl S.

Awesome place and awesome staff. Brian did a great job of taking the ideas of what I wanted and making it become a reality. Very clean, very professional, and trustworthy. I valued his opinion multiple times with size, color, ideas, and location. Everyone who asked where I got my tattoo, I tell them it’s honestly an experience. I’ve recently followed numerous employees who work there on social media and all of their work is so much better than anywhere else. I’ll never go anywhere else for tattoos.

You go down this narrow spiral staircase to this awesome subterranean studio with a bunch of artists stations and tv’s and art everywhere. It was the cleanest tattoo shop Iv been to, but more than that, the most inviting and relaxing. My artist was Elly and we started off chit chatting and then commenting on the bad horror movie that was on. We decided to keep it going with cheesy, purposely bad films and just really great conversations until more artists and clients showed up. Everyone there was incredibly nice and easy to talk with. We didn’t quite finish bc I was getting several pieces done but I’m excited to go back. I will absolutely be a return client. 5/5 stars!!

In 2018 I got my first tattoo done by Dennis. It was a memorial tattoo for my mom who passed. I spent a lot of time researching the right tattoo that I wanted and after meeting and talking with Dennis I just knew he was the one to do it. Once it was completed it well exceeded my expectations. This year I returned to Dennis to have him do a couple of tattoos for my children. His work is beyond amazing and he makes you feel extremely comfortable when getting the tattoo. He spends the time to make sure you are happy with the product, happy with the placement and happy with the size. I cant see anyone else creating tattoos for me and I dont think I would go to anyone else. The studio was clean and very welcoming. I would recommend Rorschach to anyone who is looking for a great spot to get tattooed.

This place is AMAZING, such a friendly staff, comfortable space, youll feel very welcomed. It is a very clean place and they do an Incredible job. You will automatically feel safe and very chill. I just got my belly button pierced today and it was so quick. The staff was very caring and understanding. They dont mind any questions as long as they make the customer happy. The supervisor for piercing whos name is Alex. He is such an amazing piercer. I will definitely go to him for any more future piercings.

I’ve had many experiences at this shop, i got my first tattoo with Jay, who has since relocated to the Hillsborough location, but was super friendly! Then i went back a year or so later and got my nose pierced by Alex. Everything is super clean and the staff is all amazingly friendly and chill. I had an issue with my nose ring coming out and they replaced it no charge with a brand new stud that has not given me any issues. Since i have gotten 3 more tattoos there, 2 with Ellie and one with an apprentice, Filipe, and they are all amazing! I recommend this shop to all of my friends, by far the best in NJ, hands down. Check them out!

I have been tattooed and pierced here multiple times!Everyone here is phenomenal! Its a welcoming environment, cleanliness is pristine! They make you feel like family. Ive been lucky enough to be tattooed by Carol, Brian, Dennis, and permanent eyebrows done by Jenn!They are all super talented and I get complimented on my tattoos constantly!Alex has also pierced me multiple times, and has removed dermals for me! He is fantastic at what he does. Super clean, professional and hilarious.I recommend this place constantly! I will never get tattooed anywhere else.

Flip did my first tattoo of my Grandmas signature on my arm. It was my first tattoo and I was extremely nervous. He made me feel very comfortable, and even put on a funny movie in the background. His work is beautiful and I could tell that he took his time in making the signature identical to my grandmas. He talked to me the whole time and that made me feel at ease. All of the staff was very professional, attentive and the place was very clean. I recommend to anyone, especially to anyone who is getting a first tattoo. Thank you Flip!!

This was the second time I had a tattoo done at Rorschach Gallery. I’ve been to both locations and each location is fantastic. All the artists and staff are very friendly and professional. They do all they can to make you comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire process. The studios are very clean and each artist takes their time to sterilize and prep their work space for each client. They have plenty of artists that specialize in many different tattoos styles. If you are looking to get a tattoo or piercing this is a fantastic place to go.

Has to be one of the best tattoo shops Ive ever been to. Carol reworked my tattoo and it looks so awesome, Ive gotten so many compliments so far! The building is super clean and decor is rad. Staff is super friendly and I felt so welcomed there. As I was getting tattooed, a few of the other artists popped into the room and talked to me and it just made me feel super welcomed and comfortable. Definitely recommend going here to everyone because youll get an awesome experience like I did!

This shop is amazing! Highly recommended. I had a very awful experience with another place and they made sure to correct the situation even though it wasnt really theirs to fix. I havent even had the tattoo yet but Im excited nonetheless. Ill follow-up after to show the how well it turned out!

Alex did a tattoo for me and I am very pleased with the results. First, we had a consultation with Alex and later he created a beautiful design based on my ideas and combined them all together in drawing. He is a very talented artist and I am highly recommend him. The Rorschach Gallery is a nice, clean and professional environment with many artists which was also recommended to me and I am happy I chose this place and Alex as an artist for my tattoo.

Had a fantastic experience getting my piercings done by Alex. the shop is clean, and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. i received an email asking about the healing progress and when i was concerned that my piercings werent healing well i was told i could come in for my piercer to check. Alex saw me right away even without an appointment and reassured me that everything was healing well. great vibes from this shop and the staff.

I absolutely loved my experience here! This was my first (and definitely not last!) tattoo, Brian my tattoo artist did a phenomenal job! The script was in a different language and he nailed it! From the beginning to the end my experience was fantastic, everyone was great. They all made me feel at home, even when it was the first time meeting them. I truly cant imagine going anywhere else, Im hooked! The environment was clean (which is so important when getting a tattoo), and interesting to look at. This place is definitely worth seeing. Just stopping by to see the gallery is worth the trip. Of course, the tattoo artists are awesome. Their tattoos are super clean. Theyll work with you from an idea in your head and make it beautiful. Their piercer, Alex is quick and painless. Before you can even think to say ouch, its done. The staff are all polite and friendly. I love coming to see everyone, even when I dont have an appointment. They love to see you come in just to say Hi. Its a friendly atmosphere and a super clean facility. They go out of their way to make you feel safe and happy. I tell all my friends and family to stop in and see them.

This was my first tattoo and I totally love it. I have received many compliments. Dennis was without a doubt a cool guy, he makes you feel like if youve been there several times. Brian who was doing his thing with another client was also cool. I will definitely be returning to the Gallery for their professional artistic work. You guys are awesome! I went to get my nose pierced and they had such great customer service! Front desk was very professional and charismatic. Alex was the one who pierced my nose and he was quick and clean! Made it a very quick and comfortable experience... i highly recommend going here! Im also thinking about possibly getting a tattoo here. 5 stars!

I got my first tattoo and it was a great experience. The place was clean and very welcoming and I felt totally at ease. Carol who did my tattoo was great, very professional and made it a really great experience. I have gotten so many great compliments on it; about how well it was designed. I look forward to going back and getting a second one and I would highly recommend going here.

For my first tattoo, it was amazing. My artist was Hoagie and I’m beyond happy I picked him. He took his time and you can tell love was put into it. The details are perfect and overall I’m just very happy with my tattoo. Also while I was getting worked on, I got to talk to other tattoo artist like Frank, and piercer, which made me feel more comfortable. Definitely getting another tattoo and would highly recommend.

I was a tattoo virgin and got my first tattoo (at the age of 52) at Rorschach. They made me feel so welcome and at ease. I now have three tattoos from Rorschach and each was a great experience. Dennis is my artist and does fabulous work. I watched some of the other artists work on their clients and I will tell you that you cant go wrong with any of them. The shop is clean and all sanitary precautions are taken. I will definitely be back.

I have been with Rorschach Gallery for about 2 years now and they are the best shop that I have ever been to. The shop itself is very clean and the artists are very kind and professional and are very talented at what they do. Rorschach Gallery also has a lot to offer as far as tattoos, piercings, cover ups, and even laser tattoo removal. Many of the artists in the shop has won awards from tattoo conventions and Rorschach Gallery has been voted best tattoo studio in New Jersey. Dan is my artist and has done two pieces for me and I love them both. I have also been pierced by Alex several times and he always does an amazing job. I recommend this shop to everyone I know because I know they will not disappoint.

I wanted to get my son his first tat for his h.s graduation. We looked around at several shops in Central jersey. Somehow we ended up at Rorschach and what a gem! Everyone in the shop is extremely friendly and fun! Whether you are trying to figure out what kind of tat you want or actually getting one, the staff is patient, courteous and funny as hell. My son was very comfortable and he had a great experience. He is hooked of course. I then made an appointment to get my next two tats. You cant go wrong because they know their stuff. They are a group of professional and cool people. The shop is very well kept which is an important quality. If you dont fall in love with these guys, you will love the two dogs that really make you feel welcome when you walk in. Great place. I highly recommend it.

Spotless place upstairs and downstairs. The place is huge going downstairs and very well designed and kept. I was very impressed by the beautiful designs drawn on the wall. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. The atmosphere was very casual and laid back, there was even an adorable pug who greeted you. I got my nose pierced by Alex. He did an am amazing job!!! I went here for my first tattoo back in October, 2017 and I have been extremely satisfied with the results and all the steps along the way. I always wanted to get tattooed but was scared of the pain I have to go through. One of my friends recommended Rorschach.I called Tom on Friday noon. He was very friendly helpful with the appointment process. Answered all my questions and got me booked with Dennis for Sunday 5PM.Dennis is awesome. He explained me the process and had a very good chat during the process. Dennis made this painless.If you want to get tattooed and are scared of the pain, I highly suggest you go and get done from Dennis. He is highly experienced and calm and you wont get overwhelmed.The place is clean and people are friendly. I highly recommend this place and Dennis is the best.

Review update 4/20/19: I got my second piercing today, my nostril. Alex once again did an amazing job. I was relaxed the entire time and it was almost pain-free. It was just like getting my industrial. I was nervous as hell but in the end it barely hurt. Highly recommend coming here for piercings, Alex does amazing work and is a true professional.Review 1: Had an industrial piercing done here. A little pricey, but totally worth it. I was a nervous trainwreck but when I was being pierced it was nothing. Its really calming in there and everyone is extremely nice and friendly. definitely recommend for any piercings

Anyone looking for their first tattoo cant go wrong with Rorschach Gallery. I got my first tattoo there 6 months ago, terrified and not knowing what to expect. The receptionist was helpful in answering some of my questions, but my artist Dennis really put me at ease. He was very nice, funny, willing to answer all my questions, and talked me through the entire process. He made me feel so comfortable that I went back for another tattoo 3 months later. Highly recommended.

Lets start with the shop...cool as hell, clean, and keeps your mind occupied while your sitting for 6 hours! Dan was my artist, and he really was excellent. In a word I would say meticulous. Great staff all around, and I was glad to see Dennis there, he did a tat of mine 15 years ago. Best of luck to the shop, I hope everyone sticks around. Will definitely be back. I have went to the Edison location for a belly piercing, nose piercing and recently a tattoo... I absolutely love this place, everyone is super friendly and chill. The place is super clean. Sanel did my tattoo it was just something small. He was super sweet and took his time figuring out the best placement of how my tattoo should look. I defiantly recommend going here for your piercing or ink therapy!

My experience was great.Simply - Brian is a genius. I thought about this tattoo idea for 11 years, but I couldnt capture in a drawing. Brian made it so elegant and beautiful, so beautiful that my mother and father who disapprove of tattoos was absolutely in love with it as much as I was.Everyone at Rorschach was professional and definitely helped my first tattoo experience to be one of the best.I recommend this place to anyone. If they can get my strict asian parents to like tattoos then man - they can get anyone to love it as well.

I got my rook pierced here. It was quick and easy. The staff was great too. Alex was the one who did my piercing and he didnt hesitate to tell me about what I need to do to make the healing process a breeze. Ill definitely get my future piercings done here. I highly recommend this place!

Going to try and keep this short but i cannot recommend Alex( for piercings )enough. Although i did not get pierced by him i had went in yesterday after getting a botch piercing that was not healing elsewhere . He informed me that the jewelry in my ears were completely wrong and actually causing a lot of damage. He switched out the jewelry for me and my ear immediately felt relief. Thank you so so much Alex! Seriously anyone who wants an amazing piercing done by someone who is KNOWLEDGEABLE and cares about his clients you need to see him!

Ive been going there for 2 years to have work done by Dan Doodles Ward. His work is great the shop is clean and professional. These guys do all they can to work with your schedule to fit you in and make a design for what you ask for. Their prices are reasonable especially for the amount of work hes done and the time of the sitting. All of them are talented and awesome to hang with. Each one of the artists are experienced and take pride in their art and their jobs. Youre always going to have complainers with a few bad reviews but the people who know about good quality work and appreciate tattoos wont ever complain about this shop or these artists.

I went to the Hillsborough location to see Jodi who is an apprentice. I got a small T-Rex tattoo on my forearm. There were people being tattooed while I was there with these amazing sleeves. Even though mine was just a minimal tattoo, Jodi still took time to make sure that I loved the placement and shading of my tattoo. She made sure I was very happy with it when it was completed as well. She was very professional but at the same time made me feel comfortable. She answered all questions I had. Big or small tattoos alike I would suggest this shop to anyone looking for quality work! Will be back in the future when I save enough for the sleeve I want to work on!!!

The shop is amazing. Staff is always fantastic to be around. I have had several things done at the Hillsborough shop over the last year and this is most certainly the place to go for ink, piercings and such.A special shout-out to Jay Havoc - he worked on my last piece after getting a few vague suggestions from me and an image I liked. He ran with it and it turned out to be an amazing tat. I have asked him to come up with an original for my next large piece and I am sure it will be epic!

Rorschach gallery is top notch. This was my first experience with them and it was amazing. brian did an amazing job putting together exactly what I wanted for a memorial tattoo. He hit every point and throughout the entire process was great! From beginning to end this tattoo shop did everything and then some. Hands down one of the BEST tattoo experiences Ive had. I have 5 tattoos and I have been to shop as well as freelance artist. But my experience at here was the best! i wanted a cover up done of a previous tattoo on my wrist and Dennis completely KILLED IT!!! He did an amazing job you cannot even see the previous tattoo and I am in LOVE with the new work. I made an appointment at Rorschach after over three months of issues with a nose piercing I had gotten at another parlor in my hometown and I cannot thank them enough for helping me sort it out. It turns out the jewelry I had it pierced with was fake and casing infection and irritation - and after being told by the original studio that my only two options were to take it out or keep cleaning it and hope it gets better I was so thankful to Alex for immediately identifying the problem and helping me change it out to another ring. He explained what he was doing every step of the way, made sure I was comfortable, and gave me all the proper aftercare advice I had not received from my previous piercer. After only three days I can say that my piercing site has completely cleared up, is no longer painful, and looks like it will be fully healed in no time. I’ve been getting work done here for almost two years now and every single time I leave my experience is nothing short of stellar. Yesterday I got a tattoo from Elly. Due to the standard that has been set in place from Dan and Brian I went in with a very high expectation. Elly far surpassed every expectation that I had. It is very apparent that she has absorbed the outstanding culture that Rorschach Gallery always has. From professionalism to artistry to tattooing, Elly has the high standard that is expected from any artist at the shop. I would recommend anyone to go get work done from her and I will definitely be going back in the future to do another project with her.

My cousin Stephanie and I came here to get our tattoos fixed that we got at a different tattoo shop. Elly did an awesome job fixing them. They look perfect!!! She was super sweet and understanding during the entire process. We will definitely be coming back!

What a great experience it was getting my first tattoo at The Rorschach Gallery ! It was highly recommended by my close friends . Having first time jitters my Tattoo Artist was Dan and he was just amazing how he took such good care of me and because of him I will be back very soon for another ! As soon as I walked in, I was very impressed with the design and layout of this shop. I brought my mom and 9 year old daughter with me for the adventure and they were welcomed and comfortable. My daughter spent more time cuddling with mugsy, the adorable pug, than she did watching my work get done, and I was at ease knowing she was welcome. Brian and Danny were friendly and were part of the reason I enjoyed myself so much. Getting down to the reason I was there: my tattoo was an emotional piece, my fathers signature on the last birthday card to me before he died, with a sunflower and butterfly that have additional significant meaning. Jay, an up-and-coming tattoo wizard worked with me patiently and extensively to get the design perfect. Im so pleased with my finished product and will be returning to have another tattoo fixed.

My best friend and i were tattooed by Carol this past week at Rorschach. It couldnt have been a better experience. The shop was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is really awesome as well, really great music and amazing art work is all around the gallery and in the tattoo areas. This place is a big scam and unprofessional from the artist to the front dest, they try to rip you off. I booked an appointment with Elly she is by far the worst spent 4 hours with me and did nothing HORRIBLE JOB ,basically wasting time eating watching TV etc. and wanted to charge $185 an hour !! Of course she changed her price and surprised me when I tried to speak with the front desk the lady lied and still wanted to cheat me out of more money. stay away from this place you will regret it.

Both my sister and I have been tattooed by Carol Jacky - we absolutely loved the work she had done. However, I recently wanted to get another tattoo done, and after some back and forth, Carol had ended up emailing me (the day before my appointment) that she was no longer confident in her abilities in regards to the tattoo I wanted and canceled. This was very disappointing, especially since there were just some minor adjustments left to make, but understandable... I wouldn’t want someone to tattoo me if they weren’t confident in their ability to do an amazing job. When I asked for my deposit back, I had never gotten a response from her or anyone else in the shop, which was the most disappointing. It’s one thing if I backed out of it, but the artist did in this case...

The cleanest, friendliest, most fun place to get inked.... Im a repeat customer, and everytime I go, I am impressed with what they do. And the atmosphere makes me feel comfortable and right at home. Over the last 20 years I have had tattoo work done by different artists in different locations. Most of my experiences were pretty negative. There seemed to be an unavoidable arrogance I would encounter from the artists at every establishment. I always felt out of place and that I was inconveniencing the staff by being there. Needless to say when I walked into your Edison location for the first time I was preparing myself for the same experience. Instead I had an awesome experience with some of the nicest, professional, and realest people I would ever meet! It really feels like everyone loves what they do and appreciates you being there.Locations:I have had work done at both you Edison and Hillsborough locations. The Edison location is very welcoming and I love the art that is on display! The new Hillsborough location is beautiful with an incredibly spacious layout!I am so happy with my experience at Rorschach and cant see myself going anywhere else for future ink! Definitely the best tattoo studio in NJ. Very friendly and accommodating staff. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for very good quality art on their body. Pretty bummed about my experience the price told to me when I first made the appointment was completely inaccurate. I was told this would be hourly for 3 tiny tattoos I wanted. When I got there the artist told me for realistic it would be more so I agreed not knowing that what I was going to receive was not going to be realistic at all I am embarrassed of my tattoo now and will be going somewhere else to get it fix. I will attached the picture I showed him and what I got :( also why is my clover brown ughh so bad. Also this was almost $400 insane my other tattoo was a tiny semicolon and a small outline on the moon.

I was refered to Carol by my sister. I recently got two mermaids and I absolutely love them. I have to say it has been the best tattoo experience by far. I sent her a few reference pictures of what I wanted and she drew up a great piece. She was very patient and understanding, down to the last detail. She took the time to go over several shades of purple till we found the right one. She tweaked certain things till I was 110% happy with it. Never got annoyed or irritated at my changes. I will definitely be recommending her to my friends and family.As far as the shop goes, booking my appointment was a breeze, and the place is spotless. Super clean and everyone I came across was very nice.Thanks again!

Got a Tattoo here couple of weeks back , the tattoo artist was pretty good and gave me a realistic expectation of the size etc.. , getting a tattoo was not painful as much as i expected , the only thing i would recommend is they can do a better job in cleaning the basement section of the shop.

I found Rorschach Gallery with the help of our dear friends posting reviews on Google. I had two earlobe piercings done by Alex less than three weeks ago and so far, so good. The gallery is clean and the staff are friendly. I also appreciate getting a follow up email from them, exchanged emails with Dom answering my questions and concerns. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking.

My experience here was beyond all expectations.. I worked with Dan Ward for a few months on a tattoo design based on a drawing by my daughter, so needless to say it was something I needed to be just right. We worked together on the design with tweaks here and there, even up until the moment I was in the chair and noticed something else I wanted to change. Without hesitation he started a new outline saying, This is going to be on you forever... Whatever you want changed, Ill do it.It was a long six-hour sitting, but Dan always made sure I was comfortable and allowed for breaks whenever I needed one. During my sitting, I saw a few patrons come and go with other artists and it was plain to see that this work ethic is shared by everyone.My piece is absolutely perfect and exactly what I envisioned. Being such a sentimental piece, I had very high expectations and these were definitely exceeded.This is a group of artists who actually care about their clients, and do impeccable work. I will definitely be returning to this shop and very highly recommend it.

Had Dennis touch up 2 of my old tattoos this weekend and he brought them back to life plus fixed some of the issues I had with them originally! Would recommend him in a heart beat. Great guy and he will actually talk with you instead of making you feel uncomfortable like some shops I have been in! Great personality and an even better artist!

I recently (5-26-2016) received a tattoo by Brian at Rorschach gallery. Friendly staff and great customer service all around. Brian did an amazing job on my tattoo/cover up. He was very professional and gentle. Im healing up nicely with no issues by following instructions by Brian and other staff members. Great bunch of folks who really take pride in what they do. I will be returning for future tattoos and would recommend anyone looking to having some ink done to head their way. Clean. Welcoming environment. Talented. Professional and friendly. From the moment you walk into the door youre welcomed and feel that way all the way back out the door. But with awesome artwork in your skin! Looking forward to getting future tattoos from them.

At first the minimum price of $80 made me upset cause it was so much, when most places are $60. But after getting my tattoo I fully understood why it was $80. Their staff is some of the friendliest that Ive met. The quality of the tattoos are amazingly great, and they fully explain the after care to you. I will choose this tattoo place for all of my future tattoos and I will recommend my friends to this place!

Alex the piercer is very clean and professional piercing with hollow needles never a piercing gun. He has a great sense of humor to lighten the situation for nervous clients and gives great aftercare advice and is very knowledgeable. Whether you hype yourself up for a month for a piercing or just walk in last minute you won’t have a better experience anywhere else.

Dink is amazing! I had a consult with him a month previously about an ancient piece I wanted covered. I only had the barest notion of what I wanted. I was in for the work yesterday (9/10/18) and he presented me with the preliminary art for his proposed piece. I LOVED it! It was like he knew what I wanted, even when I did not. Hours later, the tattoo is amazing and I couldnt be happier.All the folks there are super cool too... if you need work, I highly recommend this studio.

I had an awesome experience at Rorschach Gallery!! My artist was Dan Van Blarcom and he was super nice and accommodating. It was my first tattoo ever, and it went awesomely. I got my first tattoo here by Dennis, and I was very scared asking a million questions and basically freaking out the whole time. But Dennis was beyond patient he even started extra slow to show me how it was going to feel the whole time I got tattooed. My tattoo is on my thigh, it is about 7in long 4 in wide, it came out perfect exactly what I wanted. Love this place and cant wait for more tattoos!

Going in I was very nervous to get my nostril pierced. It’s my first piercing. However Alex made me feel very comfortable. He explained every step, said there would be no surprises, and he even wiped my tears for me which was nice. Definitely would recommend to others and would come back for anything else!!

When I first stepped into Rorschach gallery, I was welcomed by the most laid back environment Ive ever experienced . The showroom was completely spotless. I was greeted immediately by the woman working the front desk (Liz I believe) with a smile and a hello. I showed up half an hour early so I walked around the showroom looking through the artists work books.My artist, Brian, came up and shook my hand and introduced himself. After I had signed all my paperwork he took me downstairs and started laying the stencil on my arm. He was quick with positioning it and made sure it was exactly the way I wanted it before we started. I was able to pick a movie to watch and kick off my shoes while he worked .Everything was completely wrapped and covered around his workstation. He was very clean and precise with everything he did from the way he wrapped my arm rest to the way he tattooed. He was constantly wiping down his station and making sure everything was spotless.Brian was friendly and fun to talk to. He made sure I was comfortable at all times and let me stand up to stretch whenever I needed to.I gave him a picture of what I wanted and he went above and beyond with the detail. I sat through a 4 hour session and the amount of detail he incorporated into his work is unbelievable.I would 100% recommend Rorschach and all of its artists to anyone I know. It was one of the most pleasant experiences Ive ever had . I look forward to coming back to get more work done .

I just had my first tattoo done by Shawn and he was awesome. From the first call I made to now the staff and artists have been welcoming friendly and helpful. Finding the right artist was the biggest step for me and when I spoke to Shawn I knew I was in good hands. I will be going back in in a few weeks for more tattooing and Im real excited about it. This by far was one of the best places I have been too. I have been to different places for my multiple tattoos and Rorschach was the only place I felt comfortable in. The staff was very nice. Secondly, Sunday Brian, one of the owners, tattooed me and he was very professional, kind, friendly, all the things youd want in a tattoo artist. The tattoo he gave me got a bit infected and he was kind enough to give me some tea tree soap free of charge. Lovely place full of lovely people!

This is where I met Dan Ward (Doodles)! I walked in, told him my idea, and he had no problem taking me right in and working with me to make this tattoo even better. I couldnt have been happier with the result... In fact, I have an appointment with him this afternoon for another piece! Incredibly talented guy and truly passionate for art.Ive been to other tattoo/piercing shops where it was almost uncomfortable and seemed as though the staff wasnt interested in anything but getting the job done and barley even spoke to me. Totally different environment at Rorschach Gallery. The staff seem to love what they do and makes it a point to get to know their clients. I went about a week ago to get my first tattoo. I felt extremely comfortable and welcoming by everyone. I was extremely nervous and even wanted to back out at one point but the staff members made me feel comfortable enough to trust them with my first tattoo. Absolutely love coming here. This is my second tattoo done at Rorschach Gallery. I had the pleasure of letting Brian tattoo my half sleeve. We did the outline and some shading, but I need to go back for color. The place is full of great people and its super clean! The place is awesome ! :)

Very clean environment. Everyone is very nice and go above and beyond with care. Alex has pierced me three times and always takes his time to explain the process and after care. The shop is gorgeous. Even if I have to wait I dont mind because of all the awesome art work on the walls!!

If you are a spontaneous piercer, this isnt the place to go as the piercer isnt always available. After experiencing difficulties with my piercing (done somewhere else), I went to Rorschach to get help. No one was available. I went back on a different day to change my jewelry. I got the bump over my piercing. It was nice that they sent a checkup email because it allowed me to tell them about my situation. It took 15 days to get a response. Turned out, the hoop was not closed properly and scar tissue formed between the gap, causing the ring to be somewhat stuck. Then because I had so much scar tissue, I had to remove the piercing altogether, wait til it fully heals before getting it done again.I dont like giving low ratings, especially when everyone there is nice, but my rating is based on availability, responsiveness, and my experience with my piercing.

I got my first tattoo here and i feel like i couldnt have had a better experience. All of the staff that i met were very friendly and the place was exceptionally clean. Brian did my tattoo and besides doing an amazing job he made me feel soo comfortable. I was soo comfortable to the point that I was focusing really hard on not moving when I laughed, because Brian had me in hysterics almost the whole time. This is the place to go regardless of if your getting your first tattoo or if your getting your 50th. The quality of the work is fantastic and they also check to make sure their design is to your satisfaction a couple times before they start. Ill definitely be coming back here again.

I came here to get my rook pierced and I loved it! I came for a Friday the 13th deal with Alex and although it was crazy with the amount of people who were there, the deal was great and so was the service. Everyone was nice and welcoming! It was also extremely clean. I highly recommend!

Love this shop. Dennis has done tot of my tattoos, and I got my nipples pierced by Alex. This is one of the cleanest shops Ive been to. Everyone is professional and makes you feel really comfortable. I cant rave shita then enough.

This was my first visit to Rorschach Edison, and just like the Hillsborough location, it was super clean, and well-kept. The guy at the front desk, Dom (I am bad with names, so I really hope I got this right) was such a sweetheart. Very professional and kind. All protective measures for COVID-19 are taken at Rorschach Edison. Only customers getting services are allowed inside. You are kindly asked to wear a mask inside. Upon entering, I had my temperature taken as well.Forms being filled out are sent to your phone via QR scan for extra protection.Today I went to Alex at Black Moon Piercing (located inside Rorschach Gallery) for a nostril piercing. He was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and kind. I appreciated that Alex asked if I liked the position of the mark where my piercing would be prior to piercing. I received great instruction on aftercare as well. Highly recommend Alex!Next, I sat with Hoagie for my 3rd tattoo with him. Hoagie is the best! Very talented, professional and just a great guy all around. Hoagie pays attention to detail and makes sure you are happy with placement and size prior to tattooing. He gives his opinion which I find to be very helpful. I love all of my tattoos from Hoagie.Both Hoagie and Alex made sure to ask if I was comfortable during and after services.Rorschach Edison has handicap accessible entry in the back and ramps for wheelchair access. They are very accommodating towards their customers needs.I highly recommend visiting Rorschach Gallery in Edison (Hillsborough too!). You will love your experience.

Went in for consultation of style and design made an appointment for the same day….I did it this way so I wouldn’t chicken out because this was my first tattoo. I had many questions and my tattoo artist Christopher had many answers. Which is what I needed Because my threshold for pain is not that great my tattoo placement was on the ankle and not that bad and I was very happy with the completed tattoo which was a tribute to my DaD.Christopher thanks again…

I went in for eyebrow tattooing with Jennifer. She did an amazing job!!! Better than i ever expected. They look completely natural and the experience was painless and quite pleasant thanks to Jennifer. She talked to me throughout and made sure to ask about my pain threshold through the process. My comfort was a top priority with her. I will recommend her highly to anyone!!!

I know theyve got at least one amazing tattooist, but it seems their standards for hiring are very low. The young woman standing in for their normal piercer was extremely unprofessional and lacking in basic skills. The rest of the staff I encountered (I decided not to have any services done with them, and am relieved) also behaved unprofessionally.I get that tattooing and piercing are fairly unique professions in terms of how you can behave with clients. No one wants to go in for a tattoo consultation and feel like they just walked into TGIFridays, but there should be a lower bound on how nonchalant and disinterested any professional can be.Youre basically doing a low impact cosmetic surgery. Have some respect for your profession and your clients.

Went to Rorschach Gallery to get a sunflower tattoo. Hoagie (artist) actually had the availability when I went to schedule the appointment but I didnt. Scheduling the appointment was so easy and convenient, it worked out perfect with my schedule. The tattoo alone blew my mind when he was finished. What Hoagie managed to do set the bar high in regards to the colors and details. Not only a great talent but a great guy, easy to have a conversation with, very personable. Every employee I encountered was that way. I will be going back!

Got two pieces which connected to a half sleeve done here. Everything in this place is amazing. The environment is clean and inviting and the conversations are always interesting.My tattoo artist was Lui Renzo who is extremely talented, and also humble about it. I have had three different sessions done so far and have had nothing but positive experiences each time. I get nothing but compliments on my piece and will not go anywhere else for my future pieces.

This place is amazing! Everyone is super nice and incredibly helpful. I had a tragus piercing from 13 years ago stuck in my ear that I was anxious to get out and they removed it in less than 2 minutes. I am interested in getting a few additional piercings done and tattoo removal/coverups and I am definitely going to be coming back here because the guys are literally the best. Alex the piecer is a great friend of mine but when I come in for a new piercing he always is professional with me and that says a lot! He takes his time and makes sure everything is where it should be along with any information you may need in regards to what you’re getting done. If you want a good experience, he’s your guy!

Got a tattoo done with Elly and she’s fantastic! Precise and clean lines. The place is in tip top shape, super clean throughout. The shops look is super dope & there’s nothing but good vibes all around. Although my tattoo was small, girly, and very minimal, I didn’t feel any judgement from my artist or staff which I’ve felt at shops in the past. I’d recommend this shop to anyone & will DEF be back.

3/12/2016: My first tattoo ever. The group at Rorschach Gallery were extremely professional. Brian captured the essence of my wolves, and made the process of getting a half-sleeve a lot easier (I think a lot of people found me crazy for wanting to get a half-sleeve for my first tattoo, but it was totally worth it). I look forward to going back in a couple more weeks to show how the wolves are healing, and I definitely am in the planning phases of getting another one.Thank you, guys!!

Well I had my first tattoo done last Friday 02/12/16 . I had the pleasure to have Dan as my tattoo artist and in overall Im very pleased with my visit, my tattoo is healing nicely. I had a matching tattoo with my sister done. This place its very clean and I was nervous at first but I got thru it!

Great shop! I am having an existing tattoo removed by Alex. He knows what he is doing and I would recommend him to anyone who needs all or part of a tattoo removed. The shop is super clean. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. When I am ready to replace this tattoo with new ink this is where I will get it done...no need to look elsewhere.

I found my experience with the piercer Alex to exceed expectations. To begin, not only is the company as a whole taking all precautions, you wait outside to keep the building as easy to move around as possible, when you do come in there is available hand sanitizer and they check your temperature and do a COVID questionnaire. After consulting, you are taken into an incredibly clean room. Alex has a wonderful hand, I dont tolerate much pain very well and he put me at ease right away. I am very impressed with the staff and the while operations they manage during a global pandemic.

A couple of years back, I came here for the first time to get my first tattoo done by Brian. I returned a couple of months ago, as my nose piercing closed up, after having it pierced for almost 7 years.Let me tell you how sweet Aly is as a person and a piercer. When I went to her and explained what happened, she just took me in as a walk-in and pierced me with no issues. It didn’t hurt at all, and I promised her that I would get more piercings from her because she’s just great.Fast forward to today, and Aly pierced both of my tragi (I think that’s the plural form). She greeted me as if I was a close friend, and that really warmed my heart.I really enjoy the atmosphere at both locations (so proud of them for growing), and I plan on getting more stuff done.

I did a google search and found Rorschach Gallery. I cyber stalked them for about 3 weeks before going in to have Alex do my piercings. The gallery was clean neat and the staff was friendly. Alex was comforting, professional, and quick. My experience was awesome and I love my new piercings.

I brought in 4 designs to Dan and had him create my own piece. He drew up exactly what I was thinking! Everyone that works here are great and easy to talk to! I am recommending to everyone who wants a tattoo! We will be back here too.

Got an elephant tattoo there about a year ago with dink tattoos. Make sure you get something written down of an agreed price because at check out the cashier added an extra two hundred dollars to the amount even though he wasn’t in the consultation with dink. Disgustiiiinng.responding to owner:If I let ten years go by, and still want to write a review, guess what? Im at liberty to do so.second, I did agree on a price rate with the artist and it was not what I paid that day. If I left a tip for him its because I did admire the work and wanted to make sure the money went to him and not your shady staff, which is whom I had the issue with.If your staff is so top notch, why are you butt hurt that Im letting people know to get something in writing? That should be the least of your concerns.

Best tattoo shop youll find with the best artist around Dan Ward. The shop is very clean and there is a lot to look at art wise throughout. Dan has done a number of my tattoos and I couldnt be any happier with what he has done on me. He takes my stupid ideas and vague descriptions of what I want and makes them into art that actually looks good. If I could give ten stars I would, Ill never go to any other tattoo shop.

I highly recommend Rorschach. Everything was exceptional.. from the staff, to the shop, to the cleanliness and attention to detail. My tattoo artist was Dennis and he is excellent. I have had other tattoos at other shops and there is no comparison.. They are truly the best.

My experience with Rorschach Gallery & Brian Mahovetz (Sunday Brian) has been the best yet. The culture of the gallery itself is barbershop-esque in the best of ways. The staff arent just friendly with their own clients, but with everyones clients, engaging in riveting conversations about a myriad of topics while simultaneously being efficient and effective in their work. If youre the quiet type, there is no obligation to engage, all are welcome to sit or lay silently and get tattooed by some of the best artists theyll encounter if they wish. Those who are especially social will find Rorschach Gallery to their liking.The artists are wildly talented, I follow a number of them on Instagram. Sunday Brian is a co-owner and he worked on my American Flag full sleeve tattoo. To say that he did a great job would be an understatement. A better description would be that there is no element of the art, nor the experience that could have gone better, simply perfect all-around.I find myself now looking for more tattoos I could possibly get. Truth-be-told, I hadnt expected to want another tattoo so quickly after my last. But the extraordinary quality of Brians work, and the engaging environment of staff that he has cultivated, makes you wish you could hang out at the shop even when your art is complete.Bottom line: Get your tattoo at Rorschach Gallery and youll never want to get a tattoo anywhere else again.

Got a tattoo removed here by Alex. He was really cool about the whole process; knew what he was doing, answered all my questions, and made sure I was comfortable. He even talked to me throughout the process to distract me from any pain but because he did such a good job, I barely felt anything most of the time. Thanks to him and his care, my tattoo is already fading. Def go to him if you feel nervous with whatever because hell make you laugh and feel more at ease.

This was my first tattoo so i was kind of nervous but the people there were so nice and friendly. Dennis did my tattoo and was super down to earth. They told me how to properly care for it and to contact them if something was wrong but it came out great. Would def come back one day.

Hoagie did my first tattoo on the ribs (it hurt so bad). He was patient with me the entire time, would explain anything I was confused about and was very nice. He made sure I was not nervous and let me take a breather if I needed one. The tattoo came out better than I thought!! I love it!!

I got a tattoo with Elly (...ALL the dots!). Nothing but good things to say about her. I felt super comfortable, even after just meeting her. Shes definitely a people person. The tattoo itself came out really nicely - will need a touch up in a few spots, but Im generally happy. They (Elly and Dan) even stayed late to finish the tattoo.EDIT: An issue arose with scheduling a tattoo with Dan (he owns the place). Long story short, I got some bad information and was not happy. The shop found out, and called me. They spent 20 minutes on the phone apologizing for the mistake, and doing everything possible to fix it. They were REALLY good about it. I actually started to feel a little bad about making a big deal about it, even though I was legit upset. Imagine that - a business taking a customers complaints seriously and making every effort to fix the problem while acknowledging their error.So, mistakes happen as a part of life and with any business. These guys took it upon themselves to go above and beyond to make it right. Five stars for quality of work. Five stars for customer service.Im pretty psyched to have found this place.

So..back in 2014, I was fortunate to have had Brian do an amazing job on a Celtic tribal tattoo that he added scythes to at the top placed on my arm. Still looks amazing today.I had a tat (cross and omega) from years prior from a different shop on my other arm, but cross was crooked and never felt it was finalized or captured what it was intended for....Until Hoagie...and I quote...O..M..G..Hoagie added his ideas (thank you) to mine to ensure that the blending was perfect. He covered up the old cross with a beautiful & robust newer cross, added color and depth, updated my omega along with some tribal to match my Celtic on the other arm.It looks freakin awesome.2 experiences and they have both been well worth it. The other staff members are funny and really polite..treat you great. Communication in getting things set up with appointment and all was 👍👍.Will by all means return (sooner than 7 years😉) for my next one...

I am 16 years old and, of course, wanted a tattoo. My mom chose this place for me to go and as soon as I walked in I was impressed and immediately got good feelings from this place. I went to Shawn for my tattoo and getting it barely hurt at all and the three hours I spent getting it wet by like a breeze. It was a great and very fun experience and Im looking forward to getting more.

I got my very first tattoo here and it was with Sanel. He was super nice and everything flowed really well. He made sure he had a good idea of what I wanted but then added so much life into my tattoo! I got a sunflower on my wrist in color and I’m in love. Can’t wait to go back for more :)

I walked in this past Sunday afternoon to get a small tattoo on my arm, there was a cancellation so they fit me in that day. Awesome looking shop, love my new tattoo. I will be going there for all my future tattoos and piercings, and will definitely recommend it to my friends. :-)

Phenomenal place! Ive never seen such a clean establishment, which was very comforting considering I was getting a large tattoo done here. AMAZING artists. Hilarious and personable, and balance the line of respectful and edgey with the joking and overall communication with the customer. High tech (Im used to hole in the wall type places) with updated artwork, equipment and such.And freaking AMAZINGG art! Im beyond happy with what I got done (which took up my whole left thigh). Realistic, colorful, and full of details. Personal shout out to Ryan who kicked ass doing the trash polka style piece I wanted. Takes his time making quality work, definitely glad I waited to go here. I think my only complaint is that I had to travel state lines to get there (thats how worth it this shop is).

Everyone there was nice. Id called a few times, and asked questions over the phone, they were always pleasant & helpful. The day I went for my tatoo, Id finished the paperwork, and was waiting for the artist. Another artist, possibly the owner, made sure I was being taken care of. The tatoo took way less time than I thought it would, and they had the hilarious movie Tropic Thunder playing while I was there, which was great. Tatoo is better than what I had in my head. Beautiful work. Id definitely go back there for more tatoos.

I had the pleasure of going to Chris to get a tattoo on my finger. It was a cross simple but beautiful it reminds me when I look at my hand to thank God for all that’s good…I need that reminder daily.

To start off, PAINLESS!This was the 3rd tattoo that I got from Carol and shes AMAZING!!!!! Love the fact that shes a perfectionist and she aims to please. Everyone there from the people at the front of the shop to the artists were very pleasant and super clean. I started going to rorschach about 2 years ago and they are amazing. Everyone is so friendly the studio is very clean. The art gallery upstairs is awesome and the atmosphere is just so homie. Ive gotten various tattoos and piercings done here and i dont trust anyone else with my skin. I highly recommend going here

I got a tattoo from Flip. He was super sweet and very compromising. He made sure I got exactly what I wanted and that it was placed properly. Super cool guy and made the experience very fun. Tattoo came out amazing. Place was very clean and very comfortable environment.

Awesome. My first tattoo and it could not have been a better experience. Everyone was very friendly and Havoc made me feel comfortable. And, most importantly, the tattoo came out amazing - exactly like the design I selected with very precise, clean lines. Love it.

My 16 year old went here to pierce her nose. When I called I was told it’s 60$ for jewelry & 80 $ for the piercing! First he show her the jewelry but would not mention the exact price & just say these are the expensive items. He also said if u do the ears too I’ll discount you 40$ . I agreed . After all was done, I went to the register the bill came up to 481$ 😳 ! I asked why , he said the jewelry is 300$🤦‍♀️ after asking for a discount he gave me 50$ off! I was shocked he never told me exactly how much it would cost me! I decided to pay 100$ in cash & balance on a card of total bill of 381.87! Now the cashier took the 100$ & told me my balance is 321.87! When the balance should have been 281.87! She gave me a story that I paid 93$ in cash because of tax on the cash ! Then there is a service fee of 5 % on the card & extra tax so she end up changing me 421.87 .. total rip off ! I took back my 100$ & paid the 381.87 on the card. I think they need to be more honest & straight forward about the pricing especially the jewelry! Be aware of their pricing tactics!

Love this place. Been here a few times for piercings and tattoos. Alex does such an amazing job with the body piercings. Always recomend this shop to anyone who asks where i have gone for the work i have done. All the guys who work here are great.

These guys are the best. The environment is exceptionally clean and decked out in some of the dopest artwork from the artists themselves. They are particular about professionalism as well as show a true caring attitude towards each and every customer and design. Doodles did a majority of the work on me and the dude rules; more than friendly, took his time, exceptional work. Cant wait to go back.

Okay, if anyone in central NJ needs a piercing you need to go to ALEX! Alex has done 4 piercings for me and I will continue to go back because he is so freaking awesome. He only uses STERILE TOOLS and is extremely skilled and professional. He makes it quick and theres always almost no pain!

I looked quite extensively for a tattoo artist that could do a memorial tattoo for my mom and I really wanted someone who could do something I could only imagine. I decided on Ryan to do my custom tattoo. I came in, gave him a bunch of pictures and ideas not really knowing exactly what I wanted but ideas i had. He showed me what he had drawn and it was perfect! I wanted his artistic ideas and input. He is a fantastic artist and he did my outline quickly and gently. I cannot wait to go back to get it colored! I do plan on getting more tattoos and Rorschach gallery is the only place Ill be getting them done exclusively by Ryan.

Alex is an awesome piercer! He truly cares that the piercings are done right and takes care of you. Easy going. I only go to him now for my piercings, meaning I drive over an hour just to get pierced by him.
