Wayward Tattoo Studio

We were a group of 4 visiting from out of town and got inspired to do mom-daughter and friendship tattoos. They worked us in same day! We had a great experience and got beautiful tattoos with excellent line work.

The tattoo I got came out amazing! Will was very professional and thoughtful about me getting my first tattoo. The atmosphere was very clean and calming. I absolutely loved my experience with Wayward Tattoo. I would definitely come back for another.

Hannah was great ! Best tattoo I have so far. No pain, redness & hardly any peeling. Came back with my husband & daughter to get theirs.

Went to get my first ever tattoo and was very dissatisfied. The design was a simple 3 numbers on my wrist. During the tattoo I was told by the artist that he taught himself and is not a good drawer and has only been doing it for a year. I then realized about 3 months after what “tattoo blowout” is. For people who don’t know, it is when the artist injects the ink past the first layer of your skin and makes the tattoo look distorted. And the worst part of my experience here is that for a 10 minute tattoo of 3 numbers, I was charged 140$.

I cant say enough good things about Wayward. Very professional, clean, relaxing atmosphere. Talented artists. I had an appointment with Kevin and he was phenomenal! My husband did a spur of the moment tattoo and Ryan hit it out of the ballpark. You definitely have us as loyal customers.

Kevin Gates is awesome the one on my neck was there he added to it and sharpened it up, the Pisces Koi are his doing completely from my thoughts and the dragon he colored in for me it had been on my arm for nearly 10 years as just an outline!! Great place!! Great dude!! There while staff is pretty nice! 😊

These folks are great. Went and ask our artist to take my company logo, and give me his interpretation of it. I couldnt be more pleased with the work. Ohh yeah, my partner in crime and one day wife, she got the company logo too. I love her, love him, love them. These people rockThank you very much Like Powers.

I highly recommend wayward tattoo! I walked in without an appointment told them what I wanted and they were able to get me right in without hesitation! This was my first tattoo ever and they were very down to earth and welcoming! The tattoo itself didn’t hurt and still doesn’t! I got it done 2 days ago and you wouldn’t know I just got it done! They give you directions how to properly take care of it as well! The vibe in there is everything! So relaxing and very fun people to work with! It’s very clean for a tattoo place probably one of the cleanest ones I have ever seen! Definitely will be coming back for more!

My daughter and I wanted to get matching tattoos. The communication from start to finish was prompt, professional and incredibly helpful. Ryan was our artist and did an amazing job! He was kind, friendly, and gentle. He was thorough in making sure our design was exactly as we wanted it! The location was clean and welcoming, as were all other employees! The actual process was quick and basically pain free. My daughter and I look forward to coming back and my son is already thinking of his first tattoo design. Highly recommend!!!

I love Andy at wayward! We always collaborate on every one of my tattoos and they all work out so perfectly. Will forever go to him. Wayward as a whole is such a wonderful place. The COOLEST decor and ambiance, always great music playing, and everyone that works there is so friendly and cool.

Its one of the very best shops in Erie. Friendly all around artists. Very fair pricing. Ive gotten three tattoos from there now. I only recommend Wayward to people.

Got my first tattoo done here by Luke in summer of 2017 after being recommended him and he was very patient with me and totally chill about everything. Went back in December of 2018 for 2 more and was again a great experience with him. About to go in a few days to get another 2 done by him and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Everyone is also super kind, chill, and professional as well. Highly recommend going to them!!

My sister got her first tattoo here about a week ago. The tattoo artist did a great job. The place was very clean, the crew was cool, also the first tattoo shop that makes fresh coffee for customers. Theres also different books for every artist work which made it easier to get a feel for their different styles.

Johnny Matters is an amazing artist! The wayward crew is very friendly and inviting in an extremely clean and organized environment. The artist was very professional and did an outstanding job at getting my tattoos exactly how I wanted them. I now have 3 by Johnny and I love each of them! He does truly amazing work!

I just had my first tattoo done today by Eric. He was extremely professional, was very clear with what I should expect, made sure I was clear on follow up care and made the overall experience a great one.The studio and equipment were very, very clean and all of the employees were responsible in regards to taking the CDC guidelines for Covid 19 seriously.I will, without a doubt, be recommending Wayward Tattoo to others.

My Fraternity brother introduced me to Will at Wayward Tattoo when I decided to get my first tattoo. Ive now had three tattoos done by Will and am ready to get a fourth. Will is awesome to sit and talk with while he works and is just an awesome guy. The whole team at the studio is friendly and professional.Fresh needles are always opened right in front of me so I know it is being done safely and cleanly. I travel from Cleveland to Erie to have the work done because I know that my tattoos will be done the way I am looking for them.

Got a tattoo done by Luke! Definitely in love with it! He did an AMAZING job. He was the first tattoo artist to wrap my tattoo after it was finished and give me a little paper to take care of it. This was my third tattoo and definitely not my last! Thank you so much!

I cant say enough about my recent cover-up done by Luke Powers. He turned a tattoo that I was unhappy with for so long into something so beautiful. Luke has a passion as a tattoo artist and is very talented. I would totally recommend Wayward to anyone looking for a custom tattoo. I attended Waywards toy drive on December 19, 2015. For a donated toy or pet item, you got a small tattoo. I have only ever gone to one other place and it usually takes me months to plan out a tattoo, so I was quite nervous. I figured, however, that if I chickened out or didnt like any of the pre-drawn flashes, I was still donating to a good cause and just wouldnt get the tattoo.There were so many people there and hats off to all the artists! I cant imagine doing all the tattoos that they cranked out in a day! The shop has an open plan, which is not my favorite layout for a tattoo or piercing place. But owners prerogative, and it doesnt mean its not a great place, just not my preference.That being said, even with all the people around, my experience was still cozy and personal. The tattoo I originally wanted couldnt be done in the location I wanted (my neck), and I can understand why. With so many people, the area being tattooed has to be one of the less sensitive. For only 20-30 minutes per tattoo, its a necessity. So no hard feelings there. I was able to find another that I liked and in a place that was visible to me, but easily covered.The artist who did my tattoo was Mark P. And Mark is AWESOME. Nice guy, great artist, I really cant put in to words what a great experience I had just from the short time we shared! I was most pleased to discover that the image I selected was one of Marks. He was equally pleased as he mentioned that he didnt know if he was going to get a chance to tattoo one of his own designs!Here we are two and a half weeks later, it healed nicely, and looks great. I loved almost his entire flash and I will be going back to talk to him about the original tattoo I wanted at the toy event!The other artists and employees were courteous and professional. They had a rockin system for the event that moved folks right along. Ill definitely be donating if they have this next year. (And as I mentioned then, it would be cool to have a similar event in the spring/summer!)Thanks again!! Keep up the great work!

I havent been to this location yet! But had an amazing expirience at the old shop on 12th Street. These guys know their craft and you can just tell its so much more than a job to them. Its their calling. Over the course of my life, Ive been tattooed probably 20 times or so. This was hands down the best expirience Ive er had. Highly recommend!!

This is absolutely the best shop in the area. Every artist is exceptional with specific styles that are killer. If you are still going to any other shop, you have lost your mind. I cant say enough about the professionalism, cleanliness, ability, or friendliness of these fantastic artists. Im proud to call them family.

Luke did two tattoos for us.both filled with detail and he rocked it. Also watching the other artists working and they are just as good. The house painter is extremely talented, I highly recommend this studio.

I have purchased a couple sessions with wayward tattoo and every single one was a great experience. My artist was Corey Thompson and in each session I was made comfortable and he was very social and personable while tattooing. My last session was entered into the system correctly but while the appointment date was being wrote on my card I think some kind of mixup happened as I was chatting away with the artist and it turns out I showed up a day after my appointment. I showed them what date I had on my card and believe it or not he made time to still fulfill my appt. (and even at discount!). I will be receiving all future session with this establishment as they are all very professional and friendly. 10/10

Ive been getting tattoos at Wayward Tattoo since shortly after they opened, and it is definitely my shop of choice.It is clean and everyone is very friendly and extremely talented. They do not really have flash to pick from like other shops though as they specialize in custom work, and they all have their own style.My go-to artist is Eerie Eric Fargiorgio. He is a fantastic artist and is known for his works of Aliens, Bigfoot, as well as other cryptids and aspects from all areas of the paranormal.

The tattoo itself is pretty good but I think the artists, especially Will, need to remember that they work in customer service. An industry in which the customer needs to be treated with kindness and respect.

The studio & the staff are clean, professional, welcoming, & friendly. The artist was extremely skilled & knowledgeable. I wouldnt go anywhere else for my future tattoos.
