My daughter got her second and third piercings done on her ears and it was such a great experience for her. They were nice, shop was extremely clean. I would highly recommend them. Golden Child Tattoo is awesome, the shop is so clean and beautiful! That artists were so attentive right when we walked in, we had made an appointment to get tattooed by James. He was excellent, very detailed, and understood exactly what we wanted right away. The whole process was seamless and most of all super enjoyable. Plus our tattoos are RAD, we will definitely be back again for more work!!

Got my eyebrow done by Josh, I was very nervous and he explained the process beforehand and also he reassured me that it would only feel like a pinch! Which it did. 1-10 (10 being painful) it was only a 3 for me. He also let me know if anything were to happen to my piercing to contact him and he would help in anyway he could. Highly recommend this place and Josh if you’re looking to get a piercing done.

We took our 1-year-old babygirl to Golden Child Tattoo & Piercing Shop to get her ears pierced. Birdie was incredible! She radiates amazingly positive energy, and I know our baby sensed it too -- she was smiling and laughing with Birdie (until she got pierced of course, haha). But Birdie made an otherwise nerve-wracking experience so comfortable and easy. Its evident she puts a lot of love and pride into her work. Highly recommend!

I got personal piercings done by Birdie. I called ahead of time and since I was near by I was able to see her the same day. She was so kind and attentive walking through the process before and during. I even forgot something there and went back which she was very understanding about. Absolutely would recommend her.

My husband and I went for Friday the 13th and this was our first time at this shop! They were super quick and efficient and we only ended up waiting about 40min even with a packed shop. Both my husband and I got arm flash tattoos and they both turned out amazing! My artist Autumn was fast but gentle and had super solid line work. My ghost pepper turned out perfect! My 8 year old daughter and I went today for her first piercing (I got my second holes re-done since they were botched and closed up years ago). We had Josh who communicated with us quickly before and after our appointment. My daughter didn’t even cry even though she was nervous and it was a good pinch! Took my daughter (age 5) to get her ears pierced here, after a recommendation from another parent. Birdie was SO wonderful, she even asked what my kids fave movie was, and proceeded to put the theme song from said movie on the speakers in the Whole Shop! All the artists were singing along, and it made my daughter feel so comfortable and relaxed- she didn’t even blink an eye when the needle went in, either time!! No tears, all smiles, and we’re all so pleased with the results. I want more people (+ parents) to know that this is NOT just your average heavy metal playing, dingy tattoo shop: The Ink Spot is SO MUCH MORE, and they went above and beyond for our family yesterday. There are just not enough good things to say about the shop, and Birdie (who works there) and the whole experience was pleasant and enjoyable. I was visiting from the east coast for the week and on a whim I decided to stop in to The Ink Spot after seeing their great reviews online. On the east coast it is rare to find a shop that takes walk-ins anymore so honestly I wasn’t expecting to actually get tattood but I figured if it was meant to be it would happen. Autumn Sky greeted me with a warm smile and was very welcoming. She asked a few questions about what I was looking for and then referred me to Jose Rodriguez Jr. who could take me as a walk in. I was so excited! I showed Jose my inspo pic and we discussed options and he designed a beautiful fine line tattoo even better than the picture I showed him. I understand some artists aren’t fans of fine line tattoos but Jose was very supportive and open to doing it. It was the most painless tattoo I have ever gotten. There was friendly chatter in the studio and overall there was just a really great vibe. My tattoo was done in under an hour and when I hopped off the chair to check out the finished product in the mirror I was SO happy! I love it!! Jose was down to add color to it but to be honest I love the simplicity of the lines in just black. And a really surprising factor was how affordable the tattoo was from such a talented artist. On the east coast artists are booked months ahead and require a down payment. Which is totally understandable their time is valuable. But the excitement and completion of an “on a whim” walk-in tattoo that I have been dreaming about getting and having it turn out so perfect was a totally memorable experience! I highly recommend The Ink Spot Tattoo! I will for sure go back on my next trip to California! Thank you so much for my beautiful Cattoo Tattoo!

I can only speak for Johnny Montejo as i have gotten a few tats from him. Hes an amazing artist, and I think he has a gentle hand compared to some of the other artists that Ive gone to (not from inkspot). If you want something unique just give him your ideas and he’ll make a masterpiece. This is my favorite piece that he did a few years ago. Still looks fresh and looks like if it was done recently.

Brandon has done multiple of my tattoos and the experience is great every time. Highly recommend.I’ve had piercings by both Josh and Birdie. Both of which were nose piercings. Both Josh and birdie have great personalities and communicate VERY effectively. After care was explained thoroughly, placement before piercing was talked over and both artists allowed me to verify I liked the placement beforehand. I have recommended many friends to this shop and will continue to do so. I have had nothing but phenomenal experiences here and have had upwards of 10 friends/family members who back this shop!

Got my tongue pierced by Birdie here and she did a great job throughout the entire process. The anatomy of my tongue made it difficult to do the piercing normally, but Birdie found a way to make it work and also make it look like there was never a problem in the first place. She explained the healing process clearly was very friendly throughout the entire process. Would totally recommend going here for piercings!

BEST PIERCING/TATTOO ARTISTS EVER!!Renae(Birdie) has taken care of me for my septum and is the sweetest, most patient and caring soul who will give you an amazing piercing. Josh is such a talented piercer as well, I got my nostril done from him years ago and a cartilage. All of the tattoo artists are amazing here but I’ve been personally tattooed by Jose, Autumn, and James and cannot recommend them enough. Please come here for any of your body modification needs!!

This shop is amazing! I’ve had a few pieces done by Brandon Castillo aka Sixer, his work is clean, original, and he gets very creative with what his clients are looking for. His wife Birdie has done a few piercings on my daughter and I, and she does her best to make you feel comfortable and is so sweet with how she treats her clients. The shop is a very professional environment with also making you feel at home. The artistic talent through out the artists in the shop is a must see! Highly recommend you checking them out!

BIRDIE (piercer) - She is SO sweet and knows what she’s doing. I had a horrible experience at another place just an hour prior, and Birdie took care of me and made me feel comfortable. The shop is always extremely clean and everyone that works their is always super nice. The only person I will ever let pierce me is Birdie. She is extremely sweet and makes you feel super comfortable throughout any piercing you get. She walks you through what she is doing and will make sure your piercing is exactly what you and exactly where you want it. Ever tattoo artist has their own specialty and every single artist at the shop are amazing artist.

Ive been here for 2 nostril piercing and 1 eyebrow piercing and they are the best to do it! Birdie is the sweetest and helped me place my eyebrow piercing in the cutest spot and gave me a sensory toy for my anxiety! I had two piercings re-pierced by Renae. Before getting re-pierced I had previously had my piercings done twice before. Before my piercings never truly healed and I couldn’t figure out why. She informed me that it may have been the use of cheap jewelry and possibly that I wasn’t using the right cleaner. She ensured me she only uses the best jewelry and had no doubt my piercings would heal. It has been 3 months now and my piercings healed amazing! She is professional, accommodating, sweet & outgoing. She made what should of been an unpleasant experience not soo bad at all! Highly recommend for piercings and tattoos! I’ve also been tatted by Brandon and I could say all the best things about him too! Shop is super clean and chill. The artists there are all helpful and have amazing customer service.

Everyone here was super upbeat and friendly, chatting and laughing with me and each other. The one piercing I’ve received there was perforce. Jose has been my tattoo artist for a while and I receive compliments from about 70% of the people who see them. At work, at the grocery store, wherever. Countless people have asked me who did my line work dragonfly because it’s so good. And you’ll have an amazing time talking with him during the process. Long story short, this is a really homey place with very talented people. Highly recommend.

I got my 🍒 pierced about a year ago by Birdie. I was super nervous about getting them done, but she made me feel very comfortable about the entire process. She was informative, professional, super clean, QUICK 🙏, and precise. I had 0 complications w healing, they have a wide variety of jewelry, & I love them sm! I was nervous about getting my first tattoo and put a lot of research into recommended places and found this one. For one the place was decorated phenomenally, I spent so much time just staring in awe of all the cool decorations. Secondly the owner Brandon was incredible. He was so patient since it was my first time. You can tell when some people are just made for their jobs. He was enthusiastic about his job and you could tell that translated beautifully into his work. I’m incredibly grateful I chose this place for my first tattoo and can’t wait to come back for more!!

Every time someone mentions anything about wanting to get some sort of piercing I always recommend the Inkspot without fail. I have gotten 6 out of my 10 piercings done here (the rest I’ve done myself oops). Birdie is such a great piercer, she is very professional, friendly, and overall a cool person. They have always made me feel comfortable here. The Inkspot was where I got my first piercing done (with Josh) that was anything other than my first lobes and I haven’t been to a different place since. With my friends there’s always some issue with other piercing shops in town and I have never gotten anything like that here. They never fail to explain the aftercare process, are always willing to answer your questions, and make you feel safe. If you’re on the fence about where to go for a piercing, trust me on coming here. I feel like your piercer is kind of like your nail tech, you have to stay loyal to them, so Im really glad I found some good ones my first try.

DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE! I got my bellybutton pierced by Josh and it is by far one of my biggest regrets. Before Josh pierced me, I asked him if I should get a traditional belly jewelry or if my anatomy was better suited for a floating navel jewelry (My navel collapses when I sit down). He didn’t know what a floating navel piercing was and said it was fine. He ended up piercing me incorrectly because it turns out that I don’t have the anatomy for a navel piercing.I went to a piercer from a different shop for a second opinion and he said that not only was my anatomy is not suited for a navel piercing but that the jewelry was also low quality titanium. I paid $100 for the jewelry and piercing at Ink Spot.I went back to Ink Spot to try and get a refund for being pierced incorrectly with the wrong type of jewelry but they said that the best they could do was refund me the $35 service fee. I talked to one of the other piercers, Birdie, and she tried to convince me that I actually had the correct anatomy for a belly piercing (even though multiple sources can confirm that this isn’t true). She said that I wouldn’t be able to get a refund for the jewelry and made a bad analogy that it’s like if “someone bought shoes from a shoe store and wore them, then they wouldn’t be able to get a refund”. She avoided all responsibility that I should have not been sold that jewelry in the first place.The issue is that my anatomy is still not compatible with the jewelry they sold me, no matter how many times they try to cover their mistakes up. A good piercer would have assessed my anatomy and would have turned me down for a belly piercing in the first place. Josh failed to properly check my anatomy before piercing me and Birdie was just as unhelpful by trying to convince me that by piercing was totally fine and I just needed some ibuprofen. Birdie offered to give me a free piercing but I declined because I already have one messed up piercing from this place so why would I want another?I was 1) pierced incorrectly, 2) sold a piece of jewelry that is not even compatible with my anatomy, and yet I still can’t get my money back. This botched piercing has caused so much trouble in my life and it honestly breaks my heart that I have to live with a scar from someone else’s careless mistake. Whatever you do, DO NOT GET PIERCED HERE!

This is my all time favorite spot to get tattooed. Everyone is welcoming and sweet. Always a great, comfortable, clean environment. The owner, all the artists, and piercers are all stand up people. I am in the process of sleeving both of my arms and won’t go anywhere else. The work they do is beyond what I envision, in all the best ways.

This place has wonderful prices for piercings and starter jewelry. The vibes of the store are very chill which was very nice. I had been emailing Renae for a week asking about pricing and consultation for a Conch piercing or an Industrial piercing. I was quoted $70 for a Conch and $80 for an Industrial through email. She ended up canceling my initial consultation because of a family issue. No problem, I totally understand. It came time for the consultation and it was determined that an Industrial will not work with my ears. No problem again. I decided that I would like the Conch and she quoted $80 to me in person instead of the $70. We were about to do the piercing and I was told that it is cash only. I was not told this previously nor is it anywhere on the website. They do have an ATM in the store which is fine, but the communication should have been better since we had been emailing for a week to lay out expectations. We ended up doing the piercing which was a wonderful experience. She is very chill which is nice during a piercing.She ended up accepting Venmo for payment, which I find a little odd considering this is an established store with great reviews. An embarrassing situation and copious amounts of stress could have been avoided with better communication on Renaes part. Had I known much earlier about the cash-only rule I would have delayed my appointment until next week to make sure I had the money in hand. I am not sure I would go back to this place based on the lack of communication despite our multiple emails. She had ample opportunity to clarify the cash-only rule before I showed up to do the piercing.

This was my first time going to InkSpot and I loved my experience here. The place is clean, good energy and kind staff. My piercer Birdie was amazing and helped correct piercings that were done improperly by a previous establishment. I will definitely be making this my permanent piercing shop.

This is my go-to shop for all my tattoo and piercing needs. They have an artist for every style you could ask for and all work is top notch quality. I have tattoos from 3 artists and piercings from 2 piercers so far and couldn’t recommend the shop more highly. Professional, clean, friendly and full of talent.

I took my kids here for a few different ear piercings, helix, conch, 3rd earlobes. Birdie made them very comfortable, talked them through the process and they look amazing! I will be coming back for myself.

This review is based off the experience I had today. I called earlier to explain I got a piercing with Josh 6 weeks ago, lost the jewelry, and had an irritation bump. The girl who answered the phone whose name I didn’t get told me Josh was not in but Birdie could help me out. I told the person over the phone I would be in later this afternoon, I came at 4 which sure I guess is later in the day like I specified and was not told to come before a certain time to avoid any conflicts. When I arrive the person who greeted me and asked what’s going on listened to my explanation which was immediately responded by Birdie by shaking her head and loudly saying “NO, NO MORE TODAY”. He says sorry and I can come back tomorrow. Ummmm my piercing can close by tomorrow I’m not taking that chance. He tells me I can wait to see if *maybe* I can get helped but she has to leave quickly. So yeah if you have any issues after your piercing is done and you lose the jewelry in general just accept that you won’t get helped and get a nasty attitude. Thanks

I am very thankful for finding Ink Spot and Jose. In the beginning of the year our family friend and tattoo artist passed away and we had gone to a couple of other places to find another tattoo artist, but always felt uncomfortable in the shops and not welcome. When we walked into Ink Spot, the entire shop was very welcoming and kind and they made us feel very comfortable. The couple of tattoos I have gotten from Jose have been amazing and I am so grateful. We made an appointment with Josh to get my daughter’s ears pierced. She is 9 months old, so I wasn’t sure how it would go. He explained everything in detail. She missed her nap so she was a little (a lot!) cranky when we got there. She screamed as soon as we took her out of the car. Josh was a champ and executed the piercing perfectly and didn’t let the temper-tantrum phase him. The whole process took maybe 4 minutes. I will definitely be back for my own ear piercing (always wanted the second hole done). He was quick, super clean, very professional, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. My daughter took an excellent hour long nap after, which was a bonus!

Easy, people were super nice. We got a pericing which is easy so I cant speak for a tattoo but as long as you know what you want they were ready to work with you.

I had a fantastic experience with Josh who pierced my nose. While getting a piercing is not going to be a walk in the park, Josh certainly did his best to make it as pleasant of an experience as he could. If you are considering getting a perching I would highly recommend this place. They also had the best prices in town and allowed me to walk in without a reservation.

Beyond happy with my experience here! The shop itself is super clean and all the employees are friendly and helpful. I got my tattoo done by Johnny and he was amazing, seriously cant recommend a better artist! His art work is beautiful and he made sure the stencil was placed correctly and even freehanded some flowers to make sure they perfectly fit my body. He made sure I was comfortable the whole time and offered plenty of breaks when I needed them. All around amazing experience and the six hours I spent there were full of great music, great conversation, and even greater art! Definitely recommend this shop!

I went today to get a few piercings on my ears and Birdie helped me out, she was super sweet and made the whole experience very comfortable while also being super reassuring and professional the whole time :) she’s super quick but VERY precise and left me more than satisfied with the piercings i got, i would totally recommend !!

Got my nostril piercing done here! All my questions were answered and the process was explained thoroughly as well as how to take care of it while it was healing. I did research between a few tattoo parlors in Escondido to compare pricing and reviews and inkspot did not disappoint. Also came here for my ear piercings awhile ago after having unsuccessful piercings with others, and they have now healed up nicely! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone new to piercings.

I got my septum done here today after a botched one done a week prior at another shop. The piercer Josh did an AMAZING job, He explained it perfectly and completely washed away every worry I had. I recommend getting any piercing done here!

I went to this shop while I was in town in July. They way overcharged me for my tattoo, and as it healed, all of the small lines faded terribly. Some people would argue that touch-ups are a normal part of tattoos, but thats just not true. Artists should do it right the first time. Being from out of town, I trusted a shop, and Im severely disappointed. If I had overpaid for a great tattoo, I wouldnt be upset. Unfortunately, my tattoo looks bad now, and Im going to have to pay someone else to fix their crappy work.

My go to shop now! They have done good work for me, my wife and a couple of referrals I sent their way!! Can’t wait to go back you won’t be disappointed!

I had lost a bad quality nose ring from another piercing place. I came here in hope to find a good one. I found one but found out my nose piercing had closed up a little bit. The piercing guy managed to get it through my nose and it never got infected. He was super nice and helpful.

So no problem parking. Its in a normal business mall lot next to a cool country diner n fast food. Inside, everyone is cool. In the waiting area, the artist leave their portfolios which has sum down tattoo work em. Havent gottn a tattoo yet, but the couple times weve walked in has been for a Medusa(philtrum)my lady got and turned out nice. No infection or over swelling. The piecer was cool, professional and his spot in bak was clean like a dr or dentist wud have it. 2nd time bak, got jewelry changed. Different piercer but she was jus as professional and personable. $40 for the piercing and jewelry. Cant beat that

THE WORSE PLACE TO DO A TATOO. I went to this company because I wanted to cover a small tattoo, and Jeff picked it up and decided on the design. When he started to make the tattoo, I bet he had not made the same size lines, he was making a crown, I had to stand all the time showing that one side was bigger than the other, and with that he had to redo many times, greatly hurting my skin that caused a horrible inaction. Its already 3 weeks and Im still feeling a little pain. The doctor told me that the infection also came from the fact that it hurt my skin and thats why the healing is taking so long and the owner of the company I was talking all the time that was crooked and went where I was doing the tattoo and Jeff said he was covering a tattoo.I got in touch with the Owner, they offered me to redo, I said that I want my money back and that Im going to do it elsewhere, I do not want this guy to touch my tattoo, they refused and they force you to have to redo and spend more money or you make the guy who made the worst tattoo in my life. Careful, because the service is against the consumer, are not even there and Jeff still forced me to have to withdraw money and not use the card machine. A company with no respect, Im going to lose my money because I do not want to go back to this place and I ask everyone to share and help me to show that this company does not respect their client.

I needed to get a septum piercing removed last minute for a surgery I’m having. Did a walk in at this shop and the staff were kind and it was a super quick process. The piercer was really kind and helpful

I specifically wanted something done not even close when it was finished. Horrible!!!! I forgot the guys name who tattooed me his set up was by the back door. He was more interested in what’s going on in the store vs tattooing me and kept asking if I like it almost like if he was new. The clouds I wanted look more realistic and real the ones he tattooed look like the ones from Super Mario Bros. I have to go else where to get them re done. And top of all this I overpaid.
