Ill never be able to thank Jess and Jake enough for saving my arm. I had a gnarly cover up challenge for them, and it was huge! Without their careful planning, coaching and creativity I would have never been happy with my tattoos ever again. They asked me a million questions about my preferences and how I wanted my sleeve to look someday. After hearing my life story and love of Star Wars, Jake and Jess drew up my whole arm and got to work! Almost 8 months later, I am able to show off my arm with pride instead of hiding. Im so grateful for them, and Im excited for my next adventure soon.

I was visiting for a week and saw Jessies art and I was lucky enough to get an appointment on super short notice before I left. The service here is excellent and the esthetics of the place are amazing! Jessie is super cool and very easy to communicate with. If Im ever in town again, this is the place to go to. Would recommend!Also, Josh had some really sweet Death Note stickers for sale so that was a little bonus 😀

Josh has done 2 forearm pieces for me and will soon do a third. I always appreciate his input and I trust him. Very easy to work with. He takes great pride in getting the best work done with the ideas I have.

Jake has been working on my sleeve and I couldnt be happier with how it is going, he truly is a master at his craft from placement, brightening my old tattoos to match the rest and modifying designs to fit what I want he has been great. Awsome shop with cool people and atmosphere.

I had an awesome experience getting my very special first tattoo of Michael Jacksons autograph.The staff was very friendly and welcoming.Jake did a fantastic job and made my experience more exciting and special by playing MJs music in the background.

Best tattoo shop I have been too. Comfortable, laid back, and friendly environment. I wish I had found this place sooner bc I would have gotten ALL my tattoos here. Elvis is one of the best artists I have found, but his coworkers are all talented. I am going again this next week despite already being there 2x last month. Hands down my favorite tattoo shop and artists.

Loved the work they did for me. Very clean environment, very cool atmosphere.The tattoo work done by Elvis had very clean lines, and he took the time to make sure everything was filled in. He also worked with me to help edit the tattoo to make it perfectly contour my arm.This place is one of the best Ive been to, they really know their stuff. Prices are very fair especially for the quality of work performed.Will come again.

This place was great! My sister in law (age 72) and I (age 62) have wanted tattoos for years. We had a girls week at my Moms house in Escondido and decided it was the perfect time.Being tattoo rookies, we had no idea Friday the 13th was a special day in the industry! We were really just looking to talk to a few people and get some info. We did a couple drive-bys at other places and you couldnt get near the doors, because there were so many people. We made our way to DermalGrafix which was much calmer. (Their Friday the 13th specials were by appt)Autumn greeted us at the front desk and made us feel very comfortable right away. We talked about what we were looking for and said she was booked up the rest of the day, but would come in early the next morning and do our tattoos. She was great! So friendly, no attitude. We both love our tattoos and I m seriously thinking about my next tattoo! Thank you, Autumn!

SOL and No Tattoo.I wouldnt go here. Very displeased with the service. I came in asking for an artist that I liked (based on their work posted online) but he was quitting this location and moving away. Then spoke to another artist - gave a deposit for the artist to work out a design. Within a week, the artist never sent anything over to review and then he was fired. I came in to get the deposit back but the man at the desk said I have to get the money back from the artist who is an independent contractor. The artist went radio silent. The man at the desk didnt even try to keep me as a customer for his studio and now Im out the deposit.Bad decision making on hiring people (at least two people leaving in the same week) and not a care in the world for customer experience...

I came in for a walk in today. Everyone was super nice and the shop looked really cool! Everything was really clean and the artists seemed like they knew their stuff.I just got a small tattoo from Elvis but he was sort professional and took his time. He even touched up some old faded ones and suggested he add something to make it look better. I liked his idea.Love the shop. Ill definitely come back!

Called over the phone for 2 piercings, missed the placement in over the phone translation but ended up being exactly what I wanted. Bianca did amazing!! She walked me through proper care, expectations for the pierce and she made sure I loved the positioning. I can’t wait to go back for more piercings and my first tattoo!

I took my 8 year old niece to get her ears pierced with Bianca, and I am so so happy with her work! She was professional from my first call with her to make the appointment to when we left after our appointment. Although my niece is one tough little lady, Bianca made her feel at ease. Everything was clean and the tattoo shop itself was a neat place to visit.

Very talented artists. Impeccably clean establishment. Elvis is the owner and worked on my half sleeve. I am extremely happy with the service that I have received. I have finally found my local tattoo shop and will continue to go back for many years. I highly recommend. They also do piercings and brows.

Elvis is the man! I have been to several tattoo artists but by far he was the best I have ever worked with. Literally from start to finish. His work was undeniably good, the shop was clean just like his work and he was such a cool and amazing dude who truly cared about my tattoo turning out exactly how I wanted it, and treated me like I was his #1 patient. Also made the 5 hours of tattooing well worth the money I put into it (which was nothing prepared to other artists) I cant say enough about this guy. Thanks again and I look forward to getting my next masterpiece with you brotha!

I recently got my first tattoo and went in with Elvis, from the very beginning he was very nice and was sure I settled in nicely. He made sure I was comfortable and doing great while in his chair! Very pleased and happy with his work!

Elvis did my husbands and I tattoos. We were walk-ins just being spontaneous, then after we gave him somewhat vague details of what we wanted he was able to draw and tattoo amazing pieces of art. Definitley recommend him for great quality work!

Elvis is amazing! I would give him a hundred stars if I could. He took something that was so ugly (scar from surgery) and made it something that is so beautiful and exactly me. His patience and attention to detail is remarkable. Thank you!

This is one of the best tattoo shops in Escondido. I went there today with one of my friends for her fourth tattoo (her first at this particular shop), and she was extremely pleased with Darrens work. The facility is obviously clean, the staff, artists, and other patrons are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Im very likely to return to DermalGrafix for my future tattoos and piercings.

Sorry...it was my Fred Flintstone fingers that messed up and gave 4 stars instead of the well-deserved 5 stars!

We went here because the artist Darren has deals on his page. Hes really chill and understanding. We went for a tattoo for my husband and then 3 days later for a friend to get his first tattoo. If youre looking to get tattooed, I would say go here and see Darren or Elvis. They are chill guys and can do exactly what you want to decorate your body 😂

Not only is this such a neat little tattoo studio with a unique style to it, my piercer Bianca was such a pleasure to get to know and have pierce me. She loves her profession and genuinely cares for her clients, I will definitely be coming back and will be telling people about how great this shop is🖤 (she did my bridge for me😋)

I got my little sisters piercing done here and all was fine. Well a few days after, the piercing ended up inside her nose? I have my own piercing and when I did it, nothing like this happened. We did some googling and turns out if the piercer didn’t do it right, this happens. I wouldn’t trust the piercer again. On the upside, they were very nice. But the piercing is literally inside her nose.Update: went to another piercer and had gotten it fixed. Thankfully, nothing got infected.

Best tattoo shop Ive ever been to. I had a last minute request and was accommodated not only for myself but three others. Excellent tattoo work and very professional. Keep up the great work. Darren Smith is an amazing artist. My tattoo was better than what I expected. Also he has a good hand the tattoo was almost painless. Definitely recommend him for anyone looking for good ink work.

Ive been seeing Jason for the last 5 years or so. Followed him across shops to this new location. He always takes my ideas and runs with it! Here is the most recent piece Ive had done by him (1/30/21). So colorful and exactly what I was looking for. Time, including set up/clean up, was roughly 4 hours.10/10 recommend

Josh did my tattoo and he did a wonderful job. It didnt take long. It came out exactly as I had shown him I wanted. I was also amazed that it did not hurt as much as I thought it would.Everyone that works there is very kind, funny, and you can get caught up in conversations you never thought youd have, ever. Did you know that Colon cancer is right behind Breast cancer in cases?Pink is the official blue for Breast cancer.Dark blue is the official color for Colon cancer.So I am trying to start a campaign to make more people aware of Colon cancer.My tattoo is angel wings. Wings are colored Dark blue to represent Colon cancer and sunshine yellow for the halo, so my angel is always where I can see it.CCA = Colon Cancer Awareness wont you help me spread the word?

I had some piercings done by Ceeayra, who was wonderful. She is meticulous, thoughtful, professional, and very friendly. I will be going back for any other work I need done, and recommend her without reservation.

My sisters and i went to this tattoo shop last friday, to get ear piercings. both my sisters and i ended up having horrible experiences. the piercer that we had (a lady with a bad attitude) right off the bat was very rude and you could tell she didn’t want to be there anymore. my sister and i got our cartilage pierced and our tragus pierced, and for the tragus, the piercer put in the wrong jewelry. she was supposed to put in a curved bar, and instead input a straight bar, that was meant for the lip. on top of that she didn’t not tighten the ball at all and it ended up falling out today. the piercer was supposed to have us lie down on the chair while piercing our tragus and she had us sitting up the whole time, and did not even tell us how to care for our piercings when we left. today when my ball fell out, i decided to go to another tattoo shop to get it fixed, and i decided to go to good neighbor tattoo in san marcos, and thank god i did. Anisa was my piercer here and she was literally the best. she immediately told me everything wrong with the piercing i had gotten and she gave me my options on how to fix it. she ended up putting a curved earring in my tragus, and helped me to clean up the infection i had a little bit. i highly recommend going to her to get any piercing because she was amazing. it literally did not hurt nearly as bad as it did when i initially got it pierced. she made everything clear that she was doing and you could tell she loved her job and cares about her clients. before going to dermal grafix, please consider going to good neighbor tattoo first. you won’t regret it.

I had a piece done on my should by Liz and the customer service was awesome. Idk what the other guys was talking about. They all greeted me as I walked in came back while she was doing it to see how everything was going. They joked around it was an overall fun great experience for me. I would recommend this shop to anyone I know. And I do! I will definitely be going back. Great atmosphere!

I was very apprehensive as this was my first tattoo (I’m a senior citizen who hates needles!). Josh was great, he completely put me at ease, talked through the design with me, helped me choose location and size. Love love love the tattoo, absolutely recommend Josh if you need a tattoo artist.
