Please do not get tattooed by Armando Marroquin. He tattooed my face 2 years ago and completely messed it up and now I am in the very painful process of getting it removed. While he was tattooing me he told me that he was finished with it several times, and there were spots that weren’t complete and I had to ask him to fix it several times once he claimed he was done with it. I messaged him telling him how I wasn’t happy with the tattoo and he simply did not care and said “letters can be fixed” when he had no care in the world for leaving an awful tattoo on my FACE . I am heavily tattooed and was told byMultiple artists it couldn’t be fixed. He is very ignorant and unprofessional.

Went today as a walk-in tattoo decided to get two, had the pleasure of being paired up with Harrison today as my artist. From the moment I met him he displayed a remarkable attention to detail in the stencil, its application through the tattoo itself and and made sure I was comfortable and was very customer oriented, 5/5 would return to get ink by him again.

I loved coming here for my first tattoo! The staff were so nice and understanding. It didnt hurt getting the tattoo and the tattoo artist took my mind off of it by speaking to me throughout the procedure. Would definitely come here again!

Erica was super helpful in scheduling my appointment and choosing the right artist for my design. I ended up getting tattooed by Dixer and am in love with the result! I got an armband, so a good chunk of time went into designing the stencil and making sure it was placed properly, which I really appreciated. My piece took a few hours to complete, but everyone who works here is friendly and funny so the time passed pretty quickly.I also had a good experience with Ethan here about a year ago, who helped me make my moose outline tattoo a reality. Overall, Id say the artists here care and are very passionate about what they do. On top of that, the shop is very clean and smells good!

Incredible service from start to finish! Easy to make an appointment. Easy to find. Staff was friendly. Atmosphere is chill. We came in for one person and all of us left with fresh ink!Myles was excellent. I gave him three images and he created exactly what I wanted from them. Love it when an artist feels your vibe. I visited Dixer for a cartilage ear piercing - Jude was excellent! They were professional, friendly and very skilled. The environment was very clean and honestly relaxing, at least more than any other studio I’ve been to.Jude took the time to walk me through the process, ensured I was comfortable with the piercing location and gave great advice for taking care of the piercing afterwards. I’d definitely return for any future piercings!

For my 40th birthday I wanted to get my belly ring re-pierced. Veronica took such good care of me! She was VERY clean and explained every step. Most importantly the piercing was practically painless. She explained how I should care for it. I have had no issues at all. Thanks so much for a great experience!!!

If you are looking for a friendly and skilled artist in the NOVA area to create your one of a kind tattoo, look no further. Dixer is your guy! He has a steady, light hand and a trained eye. He helped me bring 3 of my ideas into actual ink, while making sure I was comfortable under the needle and with the designs. Im a bit critical, but he was super receptive to my artistic input during the entire process, and I love the final products. The shop also has a chill vibe to it, and Ive had a positive experience each visit. Ill definitely be back.

I got my 1st tat done and meggie/mink was the one who completed it for me in a full day session. i have always been picky and wanted to make sure everything was perfect and im glad i found meggie bc they wanted the same. they never once kept me wondering what was next, was kind, generous, entertaining, and overall a sweetheart. ill be back in the future to get another piece done by meggie/mink. thank you again for this beautiful tiger.

I’ve used Dixer twice now and my expectations were exceeded both times. My first experience was with Jonathan and he did a fantastic job on an arm tattoo I’ve been wanting for a while now. My second time in, I had Dixer do my leg piece and he nailed it! To say I’m impressed with the professionalism and quality of work is an understatement. Incredible value for the phenomenal work they do! Customer for life!!

Got a new tattoo here last week. Mando did an awesome job! I gave him a pic of what i was looking for, and the one he drew up for me was so much better, so much more detailed. Im thrilled with the final result.Ill definitely be coming back to Dixer soon...

Got a half sleeve done from Dixer himself just recently. This piece meant a lot to me, and to have an artist that values that and puts care into it is absolutely crucial when you get a tattoo. From the jump I had amazing communication with the shop. All of the artists are amazing people. I would particularly recommend this place to people getting their first tat. Everybody makes you feel comfortable, welcomed, and relaxed. And to top it all off, the artistry is genuinely phenomenal. They all put time, care, and personality into their work, and they embody what artists are supposed to be. Highly recommend period, but especially if you’re looking to get religious art done or are new to getting tattoos. So incredibly glad I found this place!

We sat for 2 tattoos on a Tuesday evening after work and the atmosphere is social but clean and professional at the same time. Tattoos came out amazing too!

Went with a friend to get my septum pierced - while she got a previous piercing changed out I chatted with one of the artists and she was SO nice (chick with the cute caterpillar tat, I see you 💛). Piercings don’t make me nervous but the piercer was so nice, explained everything she was going to do, and checked on me to make sure I was good. She explained aftercare and talked about what jewelry options I might want for my new septum piercing in the future then all of the baddies with septum rings chimed in with what they do for theirs. Immaculate vibe, stellar customer service, extremely welcoming, AND reasonably priced. No question I’ll be coming back here to get consensually stabbed in the future.

Finally I was able to get the two pieces that I wanted for so long. I was looking for an artist that can get them done and also add the extra touch. I did some research but I was not able to find the style that I was looking for in any of the local studios, until somebody mentioned Dixer. I checked out his website and his portafolio, and immediately knew that Dixer was the artist for my pieces. My experience at the studio was excellent. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful, the studio is clean and the environment is very friendly and professional. My wife was very satisfied with the results that she went ahead and scheduled an appointment to get her first tattoo at Dixer.

These guys are true artists. Incredibly cool and nice, they make you feel right at home. I would reccomend this place to anyone, particularly if its their first tattoo. Shout out to Cody Z in particular, that man is a gifted saint.

Just got some recent work done here by Dixer and again I got some top notch work. He distinguishes himself as an artist and I am so impressed how he was able create the flowing river. Had a great experience at Dixers for a tattoo I got around my bicep. Its always difficult at first picking out that right design, but I was able to go in there and leave feeling like I couldnt have made a better choice! Got my first tattoo with Dixer and second tattoo overall. Super easy process and he creates the artwork in front of you the day of your appointment. Trust the process and you wont be disappointed. Took care of the tattoo suggested by Dixer and at two weeks it looks fully healed. Great place and If I decide to get another one I will be sure to come back.

We got there today, a little apprehensive about getting my daughter pierced. From the receptionist to the piercer to even the clients. It’s such a warm vibe in there & the piercer Zaria (I hope I’m pronouncing correctly) she was Amazing! Definitely will be coming back! Thank you guys♥️

There is no better artist in the DMV. Dixer is super friendly and actually listens to what you want, he helped extend my half sleeve to a full sleeve and made it all look like one piece and it came out better than I could have imagined! The atmosphere is cool and everyone is friendly, other tattoo shops Ive been to the vibe is off and the artist doesnt seem to really care about your vision, not dixer though. Do yourself a favor and see him you wont regret it!

I am overdue on posting my review - my sincere apologies.Simply put - you should search no further / go nowhere else.I have not had the best experience with those from the artistic community. Either I know what I want and they are offended they cannot exercise their artistic creativity - or I dont know exactly what i want and am hoping they will pitch in - but they come back with I should know what I want as they cannot read my mind. I was dragging my feet to go into another artistic environment but I went - and here is where it turned awesome - I opened the door at Dixer. Great staff all around, Dixer is a master - truly ranked as a Master - and the end product - well I tried to find one thing off and even under a microscope I would find nothing wrong. Great personalities all around, highest level of work I have seen. Cheapest gig in town - no - but do you really want basement-bargain-level art on your body forever? That said, the prices are not sky-high. It is simply you get what you pay for and being this is the best work I have seen - I spent a few dollars more - but nothing absorbent. I have two pieces from years ago that I will be going to Dixer to do a cover up - so now I am paying twice for an area on my body ---- which simply says you can pay someone now and pay Dixer later to fix it --- or you just go to Dixer the first time.

Veronica is amazing!! I have gotten several piercings with her and have no complaints. She’s professional and works with you. She will help you with what looks best for your face, ear, body, whatever. If she doesn’t think it will look right she will give you options and help you choose what’s best for you. Highly recommend!!

I found this shop googling for places with good reviews since I didn’t know any tattoo artist in this area. I knew I wanted cherry blossoms but was not entirely sure about the design. So I showed him a couple of pictures of my inspiration and he started drawing on my arm, and asked for feedback. He did a great job, I love my tattoo. He and the other 2 artist were really nice and professional. I would definitely recommend him.

Ive never been so pleased overall. I travelled from Wisconsin to get tattooed by him in Virginia. The atmosphere and environment are welcoming and homey, though still professional. Dixer is phenomenal himself, very personable and cares about your idea. Myself and two others went together on the same day, and all of us really enjoyed ourselves. The tattoos came out to be out of this world, and I WILL be back for more, he is worth traveling out of state. You will love anything you get here. Worth every penny.

One of the best tattoo artist I’ve ever met. He did a whole sleeve for me 9years ago. I trusted him then by letting him free hand the whole sleeve and he did an impeccable job and I trusted him just recently by letting him do a portrait of my mom. The outcome was more than I expected. The portrait was on point. He is very professional, clean, attentive and respectful. If your looking for a tattoo artist who strives for perfection Dixer is the man. He’s been around the world learning and honing his art and skills, he’s a busy guy , but worth waiting for.

First of all, long acrylic nails are not allowed in the food industry because they are nearly as clean, affect your grip, and can break, etc. so why is it allowed on a piercer, someone who is handling exposed and broken skin? A friend went through an unfortunate experience due to the fact that her although gloved, piercer had long nails that affected her ability to correctly pierce my friend. It was supposed to be two piercings, and the piercer never voiced any concern over her ability to do them to the person receiving the piercing. Instead, the piercer attempted the second piercing , missed and lost the jewelry inside my friends body, and then proceeded to cause intense pain to remove said jewelry. The piercer never notified my friend at any moment during this what was happening or had happened (piercing the wrong area) and instead just kept attempting to fish out her mistake even though it was causing PAIN. Then, she told my friend to come back another day to get it pierced. Why did this piercer not notify my friend she did not feel able to perform this piercing correctly and safely? Why then, did they proceed to blame my friend, the recipient, because she seemed excited, and that she couldnt tell she was in pain. You still need to be liable and inform her if you do not feel professionally comfortable performing a task instead of taking her money and physically hurting her. When she attempted to inform the shop about this experience for some compensation, they proceeded to say it was her fault. Now read that all again. How is this my friends fault?

I went to Dixer with an idea of what I wanted and he took time to help me find the perfect design. His work was absolutely incredible. He was able to do extremely fine lines that most other artists wouldnt be able to do. He is a true artist. Very cool guy, easy to talk to, easy to work with. Im definitely returning to him for more work.

Great atmosphere, and you truly get what you pay for. Each artist takes their time to help develop and bring your tattoo aspirations and ideas to life. Each artist bounces ideas off of each other and they take their time to develop an image that you want and are happy with. I have had two pieces done, and will continue to use their shop.

This was me and my brother’s first time costing Dixer’s shop. Our first time getting tattoos. The staff were very professional, nice, warm, and inviting. If youre reading this and considering getting inked by a truly gifted professional, then Dixer is the guy youre looking for. When I first met him to set a date, I only had a vague idea of what my tattoo ought to look like - I knew the three major elements that needed to be in it, and where on my body I wanted it (upper arm), but not much else. Dixer - an artist with eleven years of experience - was incredibly encouraging and even agreed to work within my budget.On the day of my appointment, Dixer took my conceptual fragments, did some research and produced a beautiful piece on his IPad in - I kid you not - less than one hour. We did a couple of iterations on sizing and only when both of us were happy with the proposed design did he start with the actual tattooing.His work-space was immaculately clean and throughout the tattooing, he kept me engaged with some hilarious conversation (Dixer and his teammates Cody and Rafa are big Marvel fans!) and some great playlists. I barely noticed the time flying.The thing that struck me the most about his professionalism was that even after he was done and I said that it looked great, he still wasnt satisfied. He said Nah, I can improve this part of the design a bit, and went to work on the tattoo for another ten minutes with some touching up.I honestly cant recommend Dixer highly enough to you. He is a true artist and if youre genuinely interested, I would recommend getting on his calendar ASAP, because good talent is always busy!

My wife and I got a piece done by Dixer and Ive got to say that hes an amazing artist!!! Personable, honest, and unbelievably creative. I wouldnt trust just any artist to put something so permanent on my skin. Recommending this place is probably the easiest thing Ive done all day! Cant wait to go back! Me and my friend went to this place and we were a little sketched out at first because of the building that it was in, but WRONG. The guys who did our tattoos were so nice and funny. They made the experience really easy and were very well-skilled. Were both really happy with how they turned out. Really well priced too.

We were walk-ins (7 of us); all of our tats came out AMAZING!!!! Staff are so fun and friendly. They made us feel comfortable and were able to tattoo us all the same day. Quality is fantastic. I will be coming back for another one!

I usually have great experiences coming here. But over the last few sessions, one of the tattooers has not been punctual. The latest appointment I had was set at 11am and he didn’t begin tattooing me until 12:15. This isn’t the first instance and I feel this type of unprofessional would have continued had I kept coming back. Great tattooing, poor professionalism.

Do not go here. The owners gives a price, takes a deposit then changes the price the day of your appointment. Shady shady. Then the owner goes online to reviews and leaves a comment stating that they never did any work for you. Shady. Just to try and keep their rating up. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else and stay away from this place. Some of the artists are really good but the owner has an inflated head and lies!!!! Then tries to get you to pay more. Sad day for anyone going here.

I asked for a finger tattoo of “222” all I wanted was small, even, clean letters. It was small but awful look. The lines don’t connect. Each 2 is asymmetrical to the others.

I met Dixer years ago I wanted a tattoo and I didnt have any idea of ​​what I wanted, years later, my grandpa passed away in Mexico and I thought to get my first tattoo there so I went to a studio and got a guitar tattoo, sadly they did an awful piece, so I just lived with it, until accidentally after so many years I saw Dixer again, I showed him my horrible tattoo, I asked him if he could fix it!!!Its super funny because I didnt do my first tattoo but I fixed it!! And made a whole cover up for a reasonable price in different sections., and im so glad to come here and have chosen such a talented guy to work on my tattoos, now I have a handful of tattoos all made by him, he is awesome !!I met Dixer several years ago, I wanted a tattoo but I never got around to it because I didnt know what I wanted, years later my grandfather died in Mexico and I decided to get one there in his honor, a guitar with a lot of sentimental value since he I inherited the taste of being musicians and singers, through bad luck they left me with a very ugly and poorly done tattoo on my arm, so I decided to live with that until after several years I met Dixer again and showed him the poorly done tattoo. I asked for help to see if he could fix it, and he gave me a three-session cover up. It makes us both laugh because I ended up getting my first tattoo fixed!!From then on I only come to Dixer tattoo shop for all my tattoos!! The service is incredible, the Mexican guy is very attentive and clean and with a lot of experience, the line work is very clean and with enough detail! They also give you advice on how to take care of your tattoo and improve your ideas!Vero and everyone who works here is very kind and attentive, it is an excellent team. I already have six tattoos all done by Dixer and I am very happy and I hope one day to finish an entire sleeve by him!!I am quite happy to see them in their own studio and I am very proud that he is Latino and has come very far in this country!!
