I met with Frankie to get a tattoo done on my chest. I have a sleeve done by a different artist years ago in a different state and I wanted to replicate the look on my chest. Working with Frankie was great, he was accommodating and was able to do exactly what I wanted. Despite the time difference he was able to match the style and make it look like one cohesive piece. Great guy and studio, Im looking forward to doing more work with him in the future.

Back in September I had the last second urge to get a tattoo, something small, and quite common. After looking around at multiple places I was drawn to Frankie’s studio style and gave him a call. After a few conversations, we both agreed on a tattoo he had already drawn up and I fell in love with the design, the detail, and everything about it. In October we decided to go through with the tattoo process and I have never felt more comfortable in an appointment service wise. Frankie made sure I was not experiencing too much pain, gave me breaks, heck i even watched a movie while being tattooed. Post tattoo I was given extremely good instruction on how to prevent any damage/maintain optimal design for the future. I will 100% recommend visiting Frankie’s shop. One tip, Frankie does not take walk-ins so be prepared for a scheduled appointment down the road, however your tattoo will come out perfect due to his keen sense of detail, so it’s worth the planning and wait!

Finishing my samurai sleeve was a bitter sweet moment because Frankie went from being my tattoo artist to becoming a great friend. The whole process felt like a journey and I commend Three Roses Studio for their professionalism, experience, and patience as Frankie worked tirelessly to perfect the idea we came up with from paper to skin. Fantastic experience all around, and I couldnt be happier with the final product. The space is clean, warm, and vibrant - there is a small art gallery in the front, and the walls of the shop itself are adorned in art and sketches. After I first reached out to Frankie, we agreed to meet at his shop to discuss the idea; when we met, we chatted about our lives and much more before even discussing the tattoo. He invested the time in establishing a rapport first so that he could truly address what I wanted in the design and why I wanted it. He also made it clear that he is selective about who he tattoos rather than tattooing anybody and everybody, which shows that he truly cares about each piece he creates. The tattoo itself is stunning and is full of life and motion - exactly what I wanted, but with a unique artistic touch. Got my first tattoo here and went big with a full sleeve. Frankie made the whole experience easy for me to follow and also quite enjoyable with the funny TV shows, movies and good conversation while he worked for hours on me. Couldn’t be happier with it now that its healed up and I feel lucky I found myself going to him for my first tattoo!

I truly cannot sing Frankie’s praises enough. From the day we walked in for our consult, through every step of design, to these stunning results, he treated us more like friends/family than clients.He dug deep into our wants and asked a ton of questions in order to create designs that were truly unique and perfectly us.Additionally, the second tattoo he did for me was unbelievably meaningful. After a recent miscarriage, my husband and I wanted a way to memorialize our loss and keep the baby we never met with us forever. Frankie took that and turned it into the beautiful bird piece, with the idea that when we are able to grow our family, he can continue to add to the design.These were my 4th and 5th tattoos, and I can honestly say I would only recommend Frankie based on my various experiences with other artists. Frankie designed a cover up for me. He was friendly and communicative through every step of the process, did a beautiful job, even checked in with me re. what TV show I wanted on while he was working. It was really nice not being in a studio with walk-ins in and out while he was working—very clean, comfortable surroundings.

Pretty soon to write a tattoo since we got them today, but will plan to update it later . . .My 18 year old son and I got matching tattoos. I contacted Frank weeks ago, to ask him about scheduling a time we could visit from MA to get our first tats. He was so great, he actually opened the studio specifically to accommodate our schedule when we would be visiting from out of state.He was great. We shared designs over emails and spoke over the phone. He was frank and advised us and we ended up getting 3 done today. I got one on my outer wrist, and my son got his matching one on his inside arm and then an arm band.The band is one based on something we saw and liked. Frank modified the piece and made a piece of art that is now a custom piece that no one else will have. My son is so happy.When we came in we sat and talked and got to know each other. He made sure we were not nervous, wanted us to know his home was our home, answered all questions, and made us feel so comfortable.He is not only professional with years of experience and an incredible talent, he also has a great eye. He understands the technical aspect behind his art, and the psychological aspect of tattoo. We really were interested also in the spiritual side of tattoo and learned so much about this. Really interesting. Frank has so much information to share, you only have to ask.We now know, that we will never get ink anywhere else. We can highly recommend Frank and Three Roses. The back room, with the TV, art books and his hand drawn art was just so great. It had the feeling of being cozy yet professional.Check it out. Well worth the trip.

Frankie did an exceptional job on a traditional American-style sleeve I got this fall. He was awesome at each part of the process — from design to placement to the actual tattooing — and always took the time to answer questions and provide insight. The studio (which is also an art gallery) is full of interesting artwork and has a welcoming, relaxing vibe. Frankie is extremely knowledgeable, a master at his craft and a really nice guy. Frankie is hands down one of the greatest!! He’s very professional, easy going and his work is fantastic. His studio is comfortable, and I appreciate the one-on-one experience. I went to Three Rose Tattoo for my very first tattoo. I take cleanliness very seriously and that is one thing that I truly liked about the studio. I went in for a consultation with Frankie and went in with an idea but Frankie came up with an amazing idea that I love. The quality and cleanliness of the shop was incredible as was the quality of the artwork that Frankie showed. It does not feel like a traditional tattoo shop as it feels much more personal and welcoming. Frankie is very welcoming and easy to talk to which makes him someone you can trust and get the best quality work you could hope for. I cannot recommend Frankie enough. My experience with him was tremendous and I couldnt be happier with my tattoo. Frankie has three amazing things going for him: his space, his service, and his incredible ability.First, the space. Frankie has worked hard to curate an incredibly welcoming space designed to put his clients at ease. The entrance to the shop is a small art gallery, featuring work from local artist and Frankie himself. Past this welcoming entryway is the shop itself, decorated warmly with Frankies sketches, Japanese/Buddhist influences, and an assortment of soccer memorabilia. A large flat-screen TV offers easy entertainment during tattooing. The shop is unlike any other I have been in, and I felt incredibly welcome the whole time.Second, the service. Getting with a tattoo with Frankie is a process in the best possible way. When I first contacted Frankie, he suggested I stop the shop to discuss what I was interested in. I was there for about an hour! We spend the first 30 minutes talking about life, soccer, the pandemic; anything and everything. Frankie invested time in getting to know me so that he could better address what I wanted. After that, we exchanged dozens of emails tweaking the design. I came back in to take a look at the final sketch and Frankie made sure it was exactly what I wanted. It wasnt until my third visit that Frankie actually put needle to skin; I cant imagine the hours he put into final the product to make sure it was perfect.Finally, the tattoo itself. I could not be happier. I had a long list of requests: I had sketches from my mom I wanted to incorporate, it was a cover up tattoo in a relatively small space, I was requesting a lot of different detailed work, etc. Frankie worked patiently to incorporate my requests but to also do what he does best: create a unique piece of art. I could not be happier with the final product which honors my mothers work, would never even be recognized as a cover up tattoo, and also carries with it Frankies artistic vision.I could not be happier and plan on returning to Three Roses for my next tattoo.

Frankie does an excellent job and is extremely talented! Hes created a great, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. It doesnt have any if the negative stereotypes of a tattoo shop, but rather a homey feel. He understood exactly what I wanted and it came out perfect, I couldnt be happier. I had the pleasure of meeting Frankie and having him do my first tattoo today...a tattoo that has a lot of meaning in my life. Frankie was fantastic and a pleasure to meet! Frankie is not only an amazing artist but an even better person. I got to know him after he tattooed my son a few times after his first and second cancer battles. He was able to reproduce the exact tattoo that my late son had on his wrist using the same exact sketch in the same place on my wrist. He will forever hold a special place with our family.

Frankie has done 4/5 of my tattoos now and without a doubt I’d love to continue to go back to Three Roses for any tattoos I’d like to add to my collection in the future. My first tattoo experience was done in a different location and it would overall not warrant the best review, which made me hesitant to get anymore. Yet, once going to Frankie for my second one it took away any of that anxiety.First off, Frankie’s studio is unlike any other and he takes the time to ensure that the environment is one that you’ll feel comfortable in whether thats through the decor/ art studio, lighting, or even just throwing the tv on in the background.Frankie however is the one who makes the experience at Three Roses. He is so so so understanding and truly takes the time to talk you through each piece you’re deciding on. He’s genuine in giving his opinion to make sure it’ll end up being something you love. I’ve heard him say over and over again that he would never create a tattoo that he wouldn’t want himself, meaning that he dedicates his time to listening to what you want and putting the effort in to make it come to life. Frankie’s comforting, gentle, and checks in every step of the way to make sure you’re okay. And overall he’s just an all around amazing person and will surely talk your ear off in the best way.I’d highly recommend Three Roses Studio to every single person as Frankie truly makes it a one of a kind experience.

Because he has a private studio, we were the only ones there. Frankie makes one feel at home and relaxed. When it came time to fill in and shade my daughters tattoo, Frankies artistry really came through. Frankie was GREAT! This was my first tattoo. I had an idea of what I wanted, and he walked me through his thoughts on it (size, color, placement, etc) and gave me the most beautiful tattoo! He had no problems with me being squeamish, and in fact was calm and friendly and before I knew it, it was done. The studio was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Frank is one of the kindest people I have ever met. From the second I met him it immediately felt like we had known each other for years. He listened to what I wanted to get done and gave me his professional opinion which made the tattoo look amazing. Getting the tattoo was an experience like no other. I have gone with a few friends while they got a tattoo and Three Roses studio compared to the other shops is like night and day. Frank constantly made sure that I was feeling okay and that it wasnt too much pain. It felt like we were just hanging out as friends. We were telling each other stories, sharing laughs, and just having a good time. I feel so lucky to have recieved my first tattoo from such a talented and genuine person. I will definitely be returning here when I want to get another piece done.

The BEST tattoo experience from beginning to end! Frankie is an amazing artist that puts you at ease during the entire process. I am working on a half sleeve with him and have sat for 3 sessions so far and they have been wonderful! The shop is so clean, friendly, and being the FIRST tattoo parlor in Fairfield is quite a feat. I will be going to Frankie for all my tattoo needs from now on and Im so happy hes in my hometown. Come on down like Bob says, you will not be disappointed!!

Frankie is a phenomenal tattoo artist! He did matching tattoos for my friend and I on our ribs of an skyline view/outline of Florence, Italy. Its a smaller tattoo with a lot of detail and it turned out so awesome! As you may know, the rib cage is a sensitive area when it comes to tattoos. Although it did hurt a little, Frankie went slow and took breaks while tattooing. He always made sure we were both comfortable and would stop, because of the pain, if we asked him too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THREE ROSES!!!!

First off, Frankie is such a nice guy and super easy to get along with. He makes you feel incredibly comfortable as soon as you walk in the door! My sister and I had a really nice time hanging out with him and getting matching tattoos! I literally brought take out to his place before I got a tattoo and he provided me with a plate, fork, napkins, and water. Most tattoo places seem to be standoffish or in a rush, but Frankie is the opposite. Hes all about the experience and the memories that come with getting tattoes. For those of you who dont know, he also offers yoga, painting classes, and his doors are always open to people who want to chill or need a quiet, chill spot. 100% recommend!!!!

It shows how Frankie genuinely cares about what what type of tattoo you want and also adds his input and ideas. That gave me a different perspective and a better understanding of what I truly wanted. Frankie at Three Roses Studio was an amazing tattoo artist to go too. Especially for my first tattoo. He helped me figure out what I want and the best way to make my tattoo the most special and meaningful to me. He recommended an awesome numbing gel that took the edge off considering my inner bicep might be a sensitive spot. PERFECT place or your first tattoo or anyone looking for expert level tattoo! It was my first tattoo (at 54!), for me to finally have, one for very emotional and personal reason to me. I could not have waited to have a tattoo done by any more professional an artist than Frankie! The entire hour spent at his awesome and clean studio on my tattoo involved discussing the process, the possible pain, the care for afterwards, what to expect - and that conversation helped me so much with quelling what bit of fear of the unknown I had. Frankie is one of the nicest and most respectful people I have ever met. This was my first tattoo and he made sure I felt as comfortable and safe as I possibly could. He explained everything step by step and asked if I was okay throughout the entire tattoo. Not only did he take great care of me, but also my mom and best friend who came with me. The environment of his studio is beautiful, clean, welcoming, and just downright awesome. His art all over the walls is a great representation of himself so you know exactly who is about to tattoo you. He’s amazing at talking to people and tells some really awesome stories. You can tell he’s is in this business because he loves it, not because he wants money. He does absolutely beautiful work and I 110% recommend him to anyone and everyone looking to get tatted.

I went to 3 roses for my first tattoo: a saying in my dads handwriting. I had emailed with Frankie and been very clear about what I wanted. At my appointment, Frankie told me he was unwilling to do the fine line tattoo that a wanted. I still decided to get the tattoo bec I had been so excited. He finished the tattoo in less than 5 minutes, it should have took longer. Within a week the tattoo bled and is not legible. Two years later, the tattoo is still raised on my skin, it turned into a scar. I have been to other tattoo artist cents and each one has commented on debauch tattoo saying Frankie tattooed too deep causing it to bleed. I attached the picture when it was first done in the picture one week later. If you have thin skin or are getting handwriting tattoos stay away from this place. It’s not worth it.

Frankie is the absolute best he is so sweet and understanding, he did an amazing job on my dream catcher tattoo, he makes you feel like his studio is your home too, he talks to you, lets you watch TV/movies while you get your piece done, he makes sure that you are absolutely comfortable and happy with your piece. I totally recommend!

What can I say other than Frankie is the best tattoo artist Ive ever met. Hes done 2 tats for me. One was brand new and the other was a redo...both are amazing. Ive had the new one for 5 wks and have gotten many compliments on it. The redo was done today and I know its going go be even more beautiful than it is now once it heals. Frankie treats all of his clients like family. Meeting your vision and making sure you are comfortable throughout the entire process is his goal. He definitely did that for me. I have 10 tats and although the other 8 are nice they are no where close to Frankies work. Whether its your 1st tat or 10th tat, I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the entire experience.
