My experience was pretty good, I had Jade H. as my piercer for a second lobe piercing. They were very professional and were able to get me in and out of there pretty quick. They made sure I understood the aftercare and made sure any questions I had were answered.

Everyone was great!If possible they tried to save you money! I was told I could bring my own jewelry in for a piercing instead of buying from them.Kat tapered one of my ears and I felt she did good! She put my new earrings in for me! I had long fake nails which I wasnt used to so it would of took me forever. She tried getting a earring in before doing the taper to save me money.They book up fast though so arrive early to book!I would recommend going here instead of Claires. Claires pricing starts out at $45.

Almost every piercing I’ve gotten at this location healed horribly. I’ve taken care of it well too, I clean it 2 times a day. I get my industrial pierced they pierce it incorrectly and re pierce it again which was painful. That healed horribly and had to take it out. Now my belly piercing, I got it 5 months ago just for it still not to be healed, in fact it might be rejecting. When I was getting it pierced the needle poked another 2 holes too. My tattoo artist and friend with many piercings also said it was pierced incorrectly.

Kam was super kind and helpful. I would love to have her pierce my ears again. She took the time to make sure they looked like my reference and made sure they were even on both sides. I would recommend this place and Kam’s service.

I went in here on impulse and was super nervous for the type of piercing i was getting. the receptionist sydney was very comforting and quick to get me in as a walk-in. my piercer jadah made me feel welcomed and comfortable. she was clean, quick and understanding of my anxiety. i would definitely come again!!

Maybe acknowledge people when they come into your shop. Sat up by the counter and was ignored for 20 minutes. I don’t need immediate assistance but a “be right with you” goes a long way.Edit: there was only one other group of people in the store, them and us. Since there was only one person running the front, I do understand, however she knew how long I had been waiting. She stood and watched them fill out paperwork in silence without greeting me once. I appreciate the response. I just wanted to purchase some jewelry, it wouldnt have even taken much of her time. Im just disappointed.

I got a nose piercing the piercer was very rough with it.. and she was smiling that I was in pain..and I picked out a small stud.. they put the biggest one in, I asked to have it even with my other nose ring and it isn’t even at all.. and it also caused me to have a lot of bleeding

Got a conch, daith, and two forward Helix’s and Jade did a great job on each one! Awesome experience, I have gone here for all my recent piercings and I have never had any troubles

I’ve gone here for every one of my 9 piercings but 2 (Claire’s as a 7 year old lol) but they’re always so personable and friendly. They’re super good with sterility and are all around a great place. When I get more I definitely will only go to them

These people stole from me lied to my bank said that I got the merchandise and I really did not get the merchandise. This company needs to really get in trouble. I had Madi and she made it such a fun experience. I was super nervous but she made great conversation to distract me and really educated me on caring for my piercing. They also have great deals like buy one get one free. 10/10 recommend.

Went in to get the bar shortened in my conch and some new jewelry for my daith and septum. Was hard to find things that would be okay for a nickel allergy, so didnt get the septum new jewelry. Pretty okay selection of jewelry....the store was kind of a....cluster. Im sure the event the mall had brought in more people then usual. Once I got in the room to get the jewelry changed it went almost smooth. The bar they gave Aspen was the same length as the one in my conch so then he had to call them to get the shorter one. The bat is the new jewelry.

Took advantage of a tech discount day for my daughter to get a few piercings. It was worth it. Allie was friendly and did a great job. Made sure our daughter was doing okay the whole time and did it quick. A trainee isn’t always a bad thing. Glad we got to take advantage of this one.

Went in to get 2 helix piercings today and was very impressed with how sterile they keep everything. Also was very impressed with how chill and sweet the employees are. I havent had piercings done in over a decade and wanted to try something new and Im very pleased with my results! The girl who did them was skilled and confident and I enjoyed talking to the employees. They were especially helpful since I had my child with me and did their best to entertain my baby while I was getting the piercings done. Very pleased!

Extremely unprofessional. i made multiple successful appointments & each & every time i came with my mother, we were denied. since the shop has opened up, we haven’t had any piercings done. we were always told that we need to come back in a few hours then when we do come back, they will say they’re currently unavailable. there was a time when i made an appointment & was waiting in line, then a girl (i know her) stepped in behind me. i asked her if she had an appointment & she replied no, saying that she just needs helping changing her earrings. while i’m waiting, an employee came & asked if i had an appointment & i replied yes. then she said she can’t pierce me (no reason was given) then proceeded to take the next customer. i then sat down & observed with my mother, & another customer came & said they had an appointment. the very same employee said she’s ready for them. just horrible. you guys absolutely suck.

Do not go here!I had a septum ring change out and the next day it came out and they charged me another $10 again to re put in the jewelry that was not putting correctly the first time

They staff is awesome. The artist that did my best friend and Is nose and septum piercings did a perfect job and made the experience fun with her personality and enthusiasm. The front desk employees were friendly and fun too. Definitely going back for my changes.

Set up my appointment in person, came back 5 minutes early and they had put whiteout over my name and told me I didnt have an appointment. Dont come here, they dont want your business.

It takes hours to get in the door worst set up ever. The person working the front is really bad at her job in stead of letting 2 group of 2 in she sat there doing paperwork with no one in the store we could have been in and out a thousand time after hour and half we finally just woke away Ill never go back and if I was you I wouldnt even waste your time go to a really piercing place that do tattoos

I had a piercing here earlier and Keelee was great!But I came back later and they dont have any piercers here. For at least 4 hours today they dont have anyone to pierce. So if you want to go, make sure to call ahead. Otherwise you might drive out here for the service and get turned away. Maybe they need to pay more if they cant find workers.Very disappointing for a piercing place...Love Keelee and the other women here though!

All I can say is this place has some really good vibes and I was super happy with my experience here. When I came in, Aspen did an outstanding job helping me with my questions. The process for getting signed up and everything was very smooth and fast. I had made an appointment to come later and I’m so glad they were able to get my ear lobes done. It was my first time getting my ears pierced. Maddi was the one who pierced my ears and she did an awesome job at making my experience here memorable. I had great customer care and little to no pain whatsoever. I would highly recommend this place if your wanting your ears pierced. The only thing I was bummed about was that all the selections I wanted were out of stock at the time. Though I was able to sign up for when they do come in stock. 😊

They did amazing with my snake bites early 2023. But today I went and got a piercing and they LET A Unexperienced person pierce me. My friends are saying it’s not looking good and now there’s a random hole on my ear because the piercer pierced it incorrectly. For 100$ it’s not worth it.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT ALMOST FAMOUS. I am terrified of needles and piercings and just got my bellybutton pierced there yesterday evening after work. Arrived about 5:30pm and filled out paperwork. The gal helping me was super kind and helpful. Had about a 45 min wait time so they let my friend and I go grab food and leave the leftovers right outside the store on their table. I was freaking out and had a ton of anxiety about the whole thing and they patiently let me wait about 10 minutes to get my courage up and answered my 1000 questions patiently and kindly and were very supportive, not in a pushy business sales way but in a friend supportive way because they knew I wanted to do this despite my fears. After I got into the room I accidentally touched the piercing spot they’d already cleaned and they patiently recleaned and remarked it. After getting on the table that was very clean and a welcoming atmosphere, I ended up backing out and going up front to pay the refusal fee but felt awful for not going through with it. The manager (?) who was there the whole time with me told me she’d give me another shot if I went back right then and they’d set it up a 3rd time for me. Not once did I ever feel judged or pressured, just supported. I went back and swore a bunch but got through it. 100000/100000 recommend them.

My experience was amazing!! Jack was my piercer, and they were super kind and compassionate and also made sure I had all the information about my new piercings that I needed. This was my second time getting pierced here and I will definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience! I came in yesterday to get my nose pierced and I was very pleased! Aspen pierced me and thought it was a little slow I’m very happy with how it turned out! The staff was very friendly! I was super nervous but my piercer did a wonderful job of talking to keep me distracted! Would recommend!

My daughter asked if she could have her belly button pierced for one of her Xmas gifts. I said yes but only at a reputable place. Almost Famous was AWESOME. I would recommend Keelee and the friends at Almost Famous to anyone. They were 1.) so sanitary 2.) knowledgeable 3.) friendly and last but not least 4.) kindness. This place was /is an awesome experience, not only for my daughter but for this Momma too. Thank you!

I went to the Fargo location with my daughter to do cartilage piercing. I witnessed one employee being mocked by a potential customer for refusing services without the required documents. The employee remained cool and professional through this derision. The service we received was kind, professional and clean. I appreciated their up front explanation of pricing, metals and standards for cleanliness. Our piercings were done with sterilized equipment and fantastic staff. I was very happy with the whole experience.

I had Keelee for my septum piercing. Her service was wonderful and she made it a fun experience for me! I went back in for a jewelry change and she managed to squeeze me in her schedule. I love the work that she does and how she encourages her clients. I would definitely recommend her service!

I came in a few days ago with a friend to buy new jewelry. After working in customer service for years, it irritates me when employees are rude in their demeanor. The inside of the store is so crammed together, the employee working the till/front of store didnt seem to have any kind of patience with questions. I had asked her if she could recommend a good size jewelry for my cartilage piercings, and she told me she wasnt sure. The piercer had just walked out as I was asking her, so she grabbed the piercer quick to have her check. She also seemed very impatient, didnt even examine the size- just told me Yeah that size looks good. So I spent 75 dollars on 2 pieces of jewelry that ended up being an okay size for the actual holes, but the diameter of them folds my ear in. Theyre so uncomfortable and their return policy is no returns or exchanges. So Im out 75 dollars for earrings I cant comfortably wear. I ordered new ones online, which I wish I would have done in the first place.Overall dissatisfied with the entire experience from the moment I walked into the store. My friend also pointed out the way they were turning walk-ins away, was done in a very unprofessional manner. No Im sorry, we dont have time today but you could try again tomorrow! Instead it was No we dont have time today. A business is only as good as its employees! Id suggest doing some kind of team reminder about customer service, and jewelry knowledge.

I went here on my birthday this July. The staff was very friendly that day and made me very excited to get the piercing. It was very crowded though and it took a long time to actually get the piercing. The piercer was okay but she did go a little slow which didn’t make the experience too great. I loved the placement though but the jewerly I was given doesn’t seem to be very high quality and the products I got to clean my piercing aren’t working very well at all. I’m a bit disappointed in how it’s been turning out so I personally wouldn’t go back

I am beyond happy with the service Keelee provided to my friends and I today! I myself had a pretty bad piercing experience at a different shop prior, so I was pretty nervous going in to get pierced! But Keelee was more than understanding and was amazing at helping calm my nerves and explaining step by step what the piercing process was. I got my nostrils pierced by Keely. First of all, shes awesome. She made me feel at ease and walked me through the whole process. Ill definitely be going back to have her pierce me in the future. Both women working there were very knowledgeable as well.

Courtney was great! She not only made me feel comfortable, she explained everything perfectly. Not one time did I question what she was doing/explaining. I was totally comfortable the entire time I was in the room with her. She was fantastic. I will definitely ask for her the next time I want a piercing. Thank you so much girl!

Would give 0 stars if I could. Really regret giving this place a chance again. I went in after not going to this store since quitting during covid because of irresponsible practices and poor employee treatment, to get a piece of replacement lip jewelry quickly and easily. I asked for my jewelry specifically and still ended up getting a 14g labret instead of 16g labret. Refused a change out as I was a piercer for 2 years and do not trust the employees to safely handle customers, speaking from past experiences. Store doesn’t offer returns even when it is their fault. Will not be returning. Highly recommend just going to a tattoo shop.

I got my Septum pierced by Josie and she did an amazing job!! She made me feel very comfortable, wait time wasn’t too bad, she was very knowledgeable about after care, and overall I love how it turned out! Thank you!

Ive had excellent service each time Ive gone in, didnt matter if I was getting pierced, purchasing jewelry, or having them swap out my jewelry. Theyve always been professional and courteous, easy to talk to and quite knowledgeable. Ive only had one issue with a bit of jewelry from them and they were right on about fixing it. I would recommend them, and will go back for more piercings when the urge hits me again. Also, the new store front in the mall is AWESOME!

Alena did our 3mo baby’s ears and we are so glad she did. She took her time marking her ears and made sure everything was sterile. I’ve gotten a lot of piercings in a big city and was worried about taking her to a smaller shop. Almost Famous was clean, professional and all the staff that day were super friendly and genuine. Highly recommend you go here for pediatric piercings and ask for Alena!

Drove an hour and half to get my daughter a piercing for her birthday. I called before leaving to see if I can set up an appointment and to make sure we had all appropriate documentation. They verified and said no appointment necessary, that it was walk in. Got there excited for her only to be turned away because no openings were available. A little compassion in this situation would have been nice. I was so hurt for my daughter. If it was MY business I would have done it even if I stayed a little later. That is how you make loyal customers! Never going back and never recommending.

I bought a couple nose rings here and it came out to be $48+, which is a lot just a few nose rings I only wanted one but I had to buy the whole set for some reason. 2 of them broke because they were GLUED together LIKE WHATT?!?!? They literally put glue like it would hold forever it could’ve fell into my nose while sleeping and thank god it didn’t. I wish I could put zero stars but unfortunately I can’t.

Got my jewelry changed out and the ball fell out the same day I don’t even live in town I drove over 3 hours once I reported what happened they told because of the timeframe they couldn’t help me or compensate me for something that was negligent on their part! I spent over $65 on jewlery and even tipped my peicer that changed out my jewelry! They seemed nice but this is horrible customer service and a waste of money!I won’t ever return to this location or recommend it to anyone ever again.I can’t stand unfair service

Called to schedule an appointment, was told only walks in. Showed up, when we got there was also told it was going to be over a 2 hr wait after driving hour and half to get there!!! 🙄

Had Airyana pierce my eyebrow, I had been wanting it and my daughter wanted her ears pierced at Claires so we went in so she could watch. They were upfront about pricing and had a layout of the costs on paper before I even went back. All the tools were sterile, I was informed of ever step she was doing. She was very kind and talkative, the whole process was quick and easy. I have no redness or swelling the next day, its barely even sore. They even gave me a longer piece of jewelry to accommodate for any swelling that may occur (even though Im not experiencing any). Over all the service was clean, professional, and painless. Its worth the price, you definitely gained a forever customer.

Everyone was nice, I guess, but I asked for a stud/bar slightly smaller than the one I was pierced with, they said they gave me the next size down, but its way way to small (i was given a 6mm when i should have gotten an 8), so im not sure if they grabbed the right thing? I live like 4 hours away and cant just do a walk-in like normal, so when I went home to put it in, I was very disappointed when it didnt fit and now Ive spent about $40 on something I cant ever wear because its way too small. Im also very inexperienced when it comes to piercings, so I had absolutely no idea what I was looking for and trusted the employees to help me.Edit: I reached out to them 4 business days ago and they have not contacted me back.

Wanted ears repierced. Could be tortured with tampering for $15 for each ear, or pay $150 for repiercing not including jewelry.From out of town and wanted to get the process started of getting my ear lobes repierced. Will go back home and get it done for $50.Girl was nice, prices a little ridiculous to get my ear lobe holes opened. Oh well.

Almost Famous is my desperate times call for desperate measures shop. I hate leaving bad reviews. Sometimes things are out of an employees’ control. I purchased some earrings - 7/8 saddles and they did not fit. I’ve had this size for over 10 yrs and have had stretched ears for 25. The earrings I purchased were 15/16 not the 7/8 as labeled. I took a caliper and measured myself, as that’s what typical pro shops use and have very personal connections in the industry. Staff didn’t know what I was talking about or have a caliper on hand, which is scary in itself because they are piercing people but do not have the proper knowledge or tools to do so). Totally get the policy of not returning but do not understand how staff doesn’t know how to measure jewelry. The earring didn’t fit properly in the plate for size. Really makes me wonder how many other sizes are mislabeled due to not having the proper tools and training. The staff was friendly enough but just bums me out that they can’t work at their full potential. My mistake for even the attempt of purchase and should have just went with Chuck’s as he is THE daddy of piercing.

Maddie the manager stated that a dermal top that was not properly fitted and then fell off could not be replaced by the company. This happened in less than 24 hours. She said she could charge us and do another one herself. No thanks terrible customer service. It was 17$ I think that would have been a nice way of saying thanks for your business. My two friends and I went in earlier in the month, and had a great experience! Ive gone to Almost Famous for all of my piercings and have been super happy with what I walked out with. This time was no different! Ive always been well informed with aftercare and whats to he expected when you pierce something. Brooke was the piercer this time for all of us. She did such a great job answering all our questions and making us feel comfortable with what was happening the entire time. Shes the type of person that will keep me coming back to Almost Famous in the future!

I first came into this establishment when they were over by Chili’s. My friend and I were supposed to both get piercings. I chose not to because of the customer service we received.The location has moved and I had visited the location in Minneapolis. After a rave review for Almost Famous in Minneapolis, I decided to give the Fargo location another try. I couldn’t remember the correct info for my piercing, so I just blurted out the first thing I thought of and laughed realizing I was waaay off. The associate seemed to take it personally. She became extremely short with her questioning and answers. She made sure to mention the pricing right away. I was asked for ID on my debit card purchase. Where I work, has shown me classism at its worst. I am not shy to the prejudice since moving to Fargo. I guess I will have to go home and change after hitting the gym. I must look like I’m a “poor native”. After 3 chances, Claire’s here I come! Seeing the reviews for this place, customer service needs to be made a priority.

I got my daughters ears done by them, they healed great, got my tongue pierced by the Manager ariyana(?) and it’s also great. But one piercer I think her name is beth(?) needs to work on her bedside manner. Her attitude only changed when she was in front of the manager of the store. The piercing she did on me was one of the most traumatic (it was just a nose piercing). I already have one side done, & when I got my left done by Beth, it was too painful. Weeks passed and my nose never got better, it was always super tender to the touch & painful. Eventually I got a blister like bump on my piercing and had to take it out. Wasted my money this time around & I don’t think I will be back, or atleast not to see that piercer again.

I was leery of going here because of bad things I had heard from friends and I should have listened. The shop set up is not very good first of all. It seems very cramped and unwelcoming. They also use VERY low quality jewelry and charge you a ridiculous amount. My piercing ended up getting super irritated and bumpy because of poor quality jewelry. Went to a professional piercer at a tattoo shop and they helped me get it back on track and recommended never going there again. She was also surprised to hear that Almost Famous did not walk me through what they were doing as they were doing the piercing and was surprised at how long of an earring they put in. Needless to say, I later got another piercing at the tattoo shop for less money and better quality

The staff is very friendly and I had a great experience when I got my nose pierced, however, every time I come back to get a change out, they are either booked out or the line is too long. I’ve been there twice in the last two days and wasn’t able to do anything. They need to require appointments or figure something else out. I live about an hour away and don’t want to keep driving back to Fargo for nothing.

Im not a big fan of the COVID, social distancing protocols but what can businesses do? Nothing... Outside of the stores health protocol, the experience was pleasant. All the associates were pleasant and patient. I kept trying to find everything that is required for a person under the age of 18 to get their ears pierced. The staff stayed steadfast with their store rules. It was frustrating -not because of them, but due to my child not having the proper stuff with her. SO! I had my ears pierced instead.

My sister and I just got our belly buttons pierced here! The staff was awesome. Jade pierced both of us and she did a fine job. Thank you guys!

Had my daughters ears pierced here. There is a smell in the main part that I couldnt stand. That would be the only thing I could say other than an amazing place. The tech was beyond amazing. She was so patient and understanding. This will be my only place to go to for such services. I totally recommend anyone to this place.

Keeley (I’m not sure how to spell but awesome name) fixed my nose ring that I’ve had for a few years, it was stuck. Awesome service and made me feel very comfortable. It went very quick and I feel so much better now.

I bought an earring and went home to put it in and it was the wrong kind (not the one I specifically asked for). The next day I came in with the receipt and just wanted to exchange it and they would allow it, and were rude about it. I thought maybe it was a coincidence that I had bad luck there so I went back to get my ears pierced. I waited in line for about 40 min before scheduling an appointment time which was another 45 min away, so I walked around the mall and came back at my scheduled time. They asked me the typical covid questions and I told them that I did have a test pending because I work in the medical field and we get tested regularly. She said she would be back and then came back and told me I had to “leave the mall immediately” because I had a test pending despite me explaining that I didn’t have symptoms, its just required for my job. She didn’t care. I wish she would have asked me these questions before I made my appointment and had to wait an additional 45 min. Waste of time and rude service.

Poor customer service! I got my belly-button pierced a year ago, and the piercer was a bit impatient with me when I was uncomfortable with the placing of the piercing. I mentioned that the area she wanted to pierce might make it flip into my belly-button. (She pierced on top of scar tissue from a past abdominal surgery.) She insisted it would be fine and pierced it anyway.After she pierced it I was visibly upset with how it looked, inverted into my belly-button. She insisted that it looked normal so I left and gave it time to settle and heal.I came back in today, after a year, and asked if it would be possible for a piercer to look at it and repierce it, for half price or free seeing as it wasnt my fault the piercing wasnt pierced right. The cashier asked me to undress in front of EVERYONE in the store to show her the piercing. I asked if piercer could look at it in a back room and she said well either way youd have to pay $120 to get it repierced.So now not only do I have a scar from where they pierced me wrong but Id have to pay full price to get it pierced the right way.

They had a decent variety of daith seatings available. The piercer was friendly and efficient. This is the second time Ive used them to change out my daith. The support staff there are nice and helpful too. They had a trainee and she was sweet and very happy to learn and while I was there it was good to overhear that she enjoyed working there with the staff.

Went in for a couple piercings, because they were the only place I could find open on a Sunday afternoon after I got off work. I was a little unsure I should go here because of some of the bad reviews but I did anyways. I’m glad to say I had a good experience and would come back. They were very helpful explaining everything to me from the procedure to the after care. They gave me after care products that worked great. The girl who pierced me (Brooke) guided me through the whole thing and made me feel very comfortable and was very professional. Communication is key, if you communicate to your piercer or any service in general and make it clear what you want you will almost always be happy! I know I was 😊

I got my nostril pierced by Courtney earlier today and she was so kind and really put a positive vibe into the room. I’m really afraid of needles and this was my first “professional” piercing aside from my two lobe piercings that I got when I was younger. With that being said, Courtney and the rest of the staff were very kind and eased my anxiety. I had a very pleasant experience today and I’ll definitely be going back when I’m wanting another piercing.

I just got my nostril done here and my experience was amazing. When it was done, I felt super sick and needed to lay down. My piercer, Maddi, was awesome and stayed and talked to me until I felt like I was okay to leave. She didn’t rush me and led me through all of the care instructions. 😊

The piercer was very professional, reassuring and patient. I will definitely return if I decide to get more piercings. However, I would recommend shopping around for jewelry rather than always buying it from them, as theres a big markup on lots of the jewelry. For example, this shop charged $40 for a set of anodized, green titanium barbells, while I could find the same size, silver titanium barbells for $10 on Amazon. Its true that the Almost Famous jewelry was colored while Amazons were silver, but for me personally the markup wasnt worth it.Overall, a very good store. Just be sure to shop around when youre buying extra jewelry.

I took a chance and got half off for my bridge, vertical labret, anti-eyebrow, and nostril piercings to have the technician in training do them. she did an amazing job with every piercing. the rest of the piercers that were watching were also amazing. everyone was so nice and friendly. and when i’m in the area i will definitely be coming back.

Great Experience!! I am a minor and I got my nostril pierced. My piercer was Emilie B. She was very knowledgeable about the nostril piercing. I also have glasses, so she filled me in on some tips about having glasses and a nostril piercing. My mother also got some of her jewelry put in her nose by Emilie, and she tapered on of my mothers piercings, and did a fine job with that. So the initial piercing was perfect! I couldnt ask for anything better! I also am pretty sure that I talked to her on the phone a few times, and she was very helpful. All in all, the experience was GREAT! Good job Emilie!

I got some work done here and the first time it wasnt done right and they werent too friendly BUT I went back and this guy Trent walked up to me and asked me how I was doing and if I needed help and I told him I was going back to get some work redone and he was very helpful, he made me feel comfortable and he took his time and didnt rush it (like the girl before) Ive never had a piercing done so well before I was shook! He did such a good job I left there feeling like a boss haha, I didnt have problems sleeping I didnt even feel like I had a fresh piercing. Now Im going back again to have another one redone and Im going to for sure request for Trent to do my other one. Thank you so much for taking care of me as a customer and now Im happy and satisfied with the out come.

I had a double rim helix done by an employee named Jack and it was an amazingly smooth process! I was able to get in fairly soon after walking in and Jack talked me through the process as I have never been through anything similar. They answered all of my questions and were super helpful and super friendly! Very epic!!

Huge shout out to Maddi and Hanna! Im on my 5th piercing and have needed change outs for medical and professional reasons. They have both been super professional and as gentle as piercing allows. If you get a chance to work with either you will be super happy with the work and conversation. I can not recommend the two of them enough!

I got an industrial piercing here. The staff were very friendly and all the areas were very clean. I did some research( as most do before hand) and all the after care information I was told matched up with what I heard. It’s a great environment and from my experience very professional ( also my ear piercing is doing great!). Ps: my piercers name was Alyssa, she did fantastic!

WARNING!! I went here to get jewelry that was advertised as “implant grade titanium” and “14k gold”. I left spending about $160 for 3 pieces of jewelry. In less than 24 hours I had an awful reaction to whatever metal the jewelry is. It caused a huge blistered bump on my cartilage and an insane amount of swelling. My nose also started to develop a bump and some swelling as well. Both piercings bleed. Steer clear of this place and PLEASE go see a professional. The lack of training the staff has as well as being extremely unfriendly. I cannot recommend you to stay away enough!

I got my nose pierced at almost famous body piercing last January and they did a pretty good job but now I’m thinking about getting a belly button piercing but I don’t know if I have the right anatomy for it to be pierced

I had Airyana do my belly button about a year ago and she did two more piercings today, she is amazing! She is always so nice and walks me through everything she does and makes me feel so comfortable!!!! She’s an amazing person and I would highly recommend going there!

A small group of us tried to go get our ears pierced and one person had their license clipped but it wasnt expired yet. It wouldnt have been a huge deal, but the front counter girl was super rude when I was just trying to ask her a simple question. She just kept talking over me. Yes I understand that you need a valid license but then why would we be able to get pierced somewhere else in the same town? Before that I had said I wanted an orbital piercing and she looked at me like I had made it up. We ended up not doing anything because they were so rude, and I dont think we will be going back.

I came in today to get my lip ring changed to a smaller size. I told the piercer and cashiers what size mine was, and that I needed a size smaller. The piercer then switched out my current lip for a new identical one, (not very gently might I add) it was the exact same size. I reminded her again that I needed a smaller one, and she said the only smaller size was a 1/4 gauge, which is way too small to fit on a lip. She said if I wanted the size I needed it would need to be custom made. I researched afterwards and found out thats not true. She then put my original lip ring back in my lip, but didnt even fully close it. She then charged me $7 for the service. I wish I had never gone in the first place. 0/10 do not recommend.

Almost Famous at West Acres is a very nice store with a awesome environment! Very nice and polite employees that know what they are doing. One of which nemed Emilie B who helped me and my best friend today with a Monroe piercing. She did a very quick and painless great job she deserves a raise! They all deserves raises. Thank you for hiring awesome nice employees they make it very enjoyable.

I called the store last night to find out what it takes to get my daughters ears pierced on her golden birthday (today). I was told to come when it opened at 10 as they dont take appointments. We arrived early and turns out they dont open until 11. misunderstanding... thats fine... so we waited. 11:00 came and so I opened the door and got a what are you doing look with no hello... nothing. I said, you are open, right? She sharply answered with a no, we are not and went into another room. Needless to say, we left and wont be back. Oh, and apparently its national ear piercing day. 👎 I expected better from this place.

Went in to buy a new septum, they put it in for me, and clipped the inside of my nose with the scissors, and it’s now a 6 to 7 month old piercing that is bleeding fresh like a brand new piercing, this has now turned into a medical issue. Seeing a provider today, it hurts so bad I can’t sleep, I’m still bleeding out my nose days later, I don’t recommend even a simple piercing change

Worst service ever. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful, very nice, the girl piercing my ear was very inconsiderate and rude. However, my piercing was not as friendly. I got 2 helix piercings, the bottom one the technician struggled to get the back ball on the earring, understandable, but 3 days later the ball just fell off. After trying again, the ball fell off one day later. The angle of the bottom piercing is so angled that the back knob wont twist on. I have to go to Addictions to HOPEFULLY recover the piercing. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

I like the store, like their products. However I believe they need to label their products a little better and potentially revisit their return/exchange policy. I recently bought sets of gauges from them, while I love my one pair, I cant wear the second I pair I bought as there to small. I wear size 12mm gages, and the second pair I bought are 10mm, I know cause I measured with my calipers.

I had Maddi do my conch and and helix today and she was great. She was professional and quick. I would 100% go to her again.

Went in to get my naval pierced by Brittany during her training on the 12th, was very pleased with her work! She was very quick and did it within 15 minutes and it barely bled the next morning! She was very thorough explaining aftercare. 5/5, would let her legally stab me again!

I went there today and waited about an hour and a half for a nose ring. got in there and waited for maybe 15 minutes. i wanted mine to be put in for me because last time mine was too big. once i got in one of the rooms, a worker put it in for me. when i looked in one of the mirrors it was too big again and hung down low. they said they didn’t have any other smaller sizes. we even had to pay $7 for nothing but waiting on them. waste of time and never going back. too overpriced and not professional at all.

I am in the medical field but not overly demanding. I realize a place in the mall won’t have the same standards as a tattoo or piercing shop but this was pushing it. The woman who re-pierced my nose seemed “out of it.” She was dazed, repeated herself, and had to ask for help multiple times. She joked, “I know what I’m doing, just kidding I don’t really.” I was in more pain than when my nose was first done and when I put a needle though it myself and I am not a squeamish person. Would recommend taking the time to make an appointment elsewhere. That being said the employees seemed like kind people.

My daughter got a piercing (septum) today for her Sweet 16 Birthday gift. It was the worst experience ever for us. It had to be done twice cause they didnt get it straight the 1st time. Then the 2nd time they slipped halfway thru her nose!! It was traumatizing for her and the rest of us that was with. Wont recommend them. Didnt even offer a compensation of any kind just a horrible birthday experience! Still charged her full price!!! Ridiculous I had to put 1 star in order to post

I’ve been there a couple times. I was not impressed with how my belly button piercing turned out. It was not pierced deep enough. It was also pierced crookedly. My friend has been there several times as well and her piercings; septum and tongue were pierced incorrectly too. They should not just hire anyone. They need to hire experienced piercers that know how to do it professionally.

I called before I came in and asked if they are still doing Tongue piercings and if it was walk in. They said yes that it was walk in and they are doing piercings. I got there 30 minutes later and they had a sign saying they were not doing anymore piercings that day despite being open for 6 more hours. They told me to come back the next day (which was Labor Day) at 10. We get there and it didn’t open till 11, so we waited. And then they said that the didn’t have anyone doing piercings that day even though they said they would. About 3 other customers were there waiting and was told the same thing. That they could come in that day and they would get their piercings.

So I was at the Fargo location and I decided to get my other half of my angel bite done. There was no wait and the lady (i should of gotten her name) was very nice and easy to talk to. She answered my questions that I had and she tried her very best to get my other half symmetrical to the other. Sadly, after the second attempt its still crooked, but its fine I guess. I enjoyed my experience, and hopefully I get better luck next time I go. I guess the reason why I making this review is, the lady was an excellent worker, but Im bummed about my crooked angel bites...

Maddi did a great job with my nostril piercing. She was super easy to talk to, explained cleaning procedures well, and got me in & out in a very timely manner!

I went in yesterday and got my tongue and vertical labret done. My tongue turned out perfectly but my vertical labret is crooked. Loved the place and would definitely go back just wish the piercing was straight!

I would recommend having any of your piercing needs done at Almost Famous! I had a wonderful experience with Joanne and Serina! They are both friendly and knowledgeable! Joanne made sure that I was comfortable during my experience with her! She asked questions and was professional! Thank you ladies!

Please do not go and get anything pierced here, they waited until after I was done to tell me that I was her second piercing. She put a black barbell in and the supervisor claimed all of their jewelery was oxidized or stainless steal, you cant oxidize black. It was crooked and Im just overall not impressed. If I could shut down this company I would. And please dont tell me that I could have came back if I was unsatisfied. Why would I allow you to mess up a second time?

I already have my conch pierced and I came in for a new ring. I the worker for her recommendation for what knew what size diameter I should get for the ring and the only one she said would work is so unbelievably small (tried to put it in when I got home because you cant just try them on in the store) and now I am out $20. She then got mine and my friends purchases mixed up more than one time so I am not sure if she was really paying attention to us. I am unimpressed and just ordering a ring from somewhere else for half the price.

I got my septum pierced by Airyana about 2 months ago, she was super nice and very knowledgeable. gave me all of the information i needed for it to heal properly and it’s doing great so far! super friendly atmosphere.

I went in and got my belly peircing done and i was looking forward to it and the experience was good and she talked me through it but after 5 months i got a really big bump on the bottom and i went it and spoke to 2 different people and they told me it was a healing bump and to clean it 5 times a day and it is now pushing blood out of it even though i have been cleaning it as said for 5 months and i had been waiting for this peircing for 3 years until i was allowed to get it and now i’m most likely going to have to take it out and go see a doctor.I went to addictions tattoo and peircing and they immediately knew what was wrong and they didn’t pierce my naval they peirced my stomach and used a more textured jewelry which caused irration. I have to take it out and get it re done in a few months!

Me and my friend got pierced by jack! She was so nice and patient, and made sure we got our holes placed exactly where we wanted. Great aftercare advice and clean environment!!

I purchased a nose ring with ball closure, 3 month later I lost the ball closure. OK went into store, you have to buy whole new ring, ok did that plus another one for my ear. Waited forever for someone to put it in. Girl finished a piercing and left, guy to busy checking in inventory, finally the guy is told he needs to do an insertion, says he has to finish his copies first, really! OK he was nice when he finally got to me. Two weeks to the day, two weeks to the day the ball falls off. I found this one. $5 to put it back on... two weeks...after I purchase a new one ball fell off first one!!! Never do business there... I am very unhappy with service.

We got in line to get a piercing, they were making appointments for people ahead of us. We stood for 20 minutes waiting to even be acknowledged. The girl in the plums shirt that said trainee on the name tag only talked to you if you went out of your way too get her attention. One woman had to almost yell at her to get her name on the list. She helped everyone but us and the girl behind us. She wouldnt make eye contact so we could catch her attention but look straight at me form inside the store. She walked around a few times and shuffle through paperwork, but wouldnt take a moment just to put our name on the list.

I never write reviews, but my experience was so bad I had to. I got my tragus pierced at the Fargo location. Ive had my tragus pierced before, but the stud came undone and it closed I before I could fix it. Getting the piercing done at Almost Famous was awful - the piercer had to take two tries to correctly do the piercing, the pain was unbelievable, and I bled incessantly. The first time I had my tragus done, at a different location, the piercer got it right the first time and there was very little pain or blood.Then I asked the piercer to remove my (healed) cartilage piercing that I was having a difficult time taking out. She was so rough with it that I started to bleed again and it was very painful.As a side note, the customer service was pretty bad, too. I had to wait at least 10 minutes before I could even talk to anyone about what I wanted done, and then another 10 minutes to get into a piercing room. All but one of the employees looked like they just rolled out of bed - sloppily dressed and poor hygiene. And my piercer talked to one of her coworkers while piercing me, instead of focusing on my piercing. Probably why she had to do it twice.Go to Dead Rockstar for any piercings you want done.

They f***ed my piercing up hard core. Its crooked and in a place that could have potentially paralyzed me had they punctured my muscle. I had the jewelry removed because it was a danger to my health. When I called them all they told me they could do was repierce it if I drove an hour to let them remove it. I personally do not recommend this place at all because of my experience. The people were kind but they should not piece people if they do not know what they are doing.

Got my first piercing an industrial here and it went really well. The piercer walked me through the whole process and made sure it was where I wanted it and that it was correctly placed. It didnt even hurt and its healing really well!!

I went to buy a new nose ring for a friend, so I asked one of the workers for their smallest gauge hoop ring. After assistance from a worker, I walked out of the store and compared the ring (while still in the bag) to the thickness of the one I had in. I realized this wasn’t the smallest size, because I had gotten mine from there. I went back to exchange for a different size and was told I couldn’t exchange - even though they admitted to have mistakenly put the wrong size in the wrong container.This was the second time this “mistake” had happened, and I was not given any replacement or money back. This was completely their fault. Disappointing to see a store that I had once loved and recommended to friends not care for their customers even after admitting their own mistake.

Had a great experience and felt very comfortable. My piercer was training someone so she was talking through every step she took and that helped my nerves. I was getting my bride done.

DO NOT GO HERE! They are terrible. They do not know how to pierce. I got my nose pierced and it closed up the next day because it was done incorrectly. Due to this, I had to to go to a different one to get it redone and pay again.Please save your money and go somewhere else in Fargo. They are more expensive then the other higher rated ones in town anyways. If you have some money to donate to their excuse for a piercing establishment then go ahead but I recommend you to go to the professionals and not a fraudulent shop in the mall.

Called to see if I could show my birth certificate instead of my id because my id was stolen and had not gotten a new one. The lady I talked to on the phone told me that showing my birth certificate was just fine after I told her my situation. So I DROVE 2 HOURS just to go to them. I get in there and a guy tells me that they can’t take my birth certificate because I’m over 18. I explained the conversation i had on the phone and he said he couldn’t do anything about it. Very unprofessional that one employee told me one thing and I drive 2 hours and another employee tells me a different story. Very unprofessional and will never recommend them to anyone. (Would’ve given 0 stars if possible... they didn’t seem sorry for the inconvenience or anything.... very rude)

I had a wonderful experience at the Fargo, ND West Acres Mall location. My piercer, Kate T. was very knowledgeable and answered any questions my friends and I had. I was also very impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. Very impressed for a mall shop. Keep up the great work!

I have had 6 piercings done with this company as a whole with 1 being done at the Fargo location, my fiance has had 5 done and 2 ear stretchings without issues...until today. I went in to get my ears stretched from a 2 to a 0, I told them Ive been at a 2 for at least a month, and about a week and a half ago I tried going to a 0 myself but I couldnt so I came in to the professionals. The male who was working said he would do it and took me back. Long story short he didnt seem to have actually looked to see if my ears were ready and the first time he touched my ear was with the tapers, he put 2 different tapers through my ear a total of 3 times before grabbing a woman who took one look at my other ear and said they werent ready. He put my 2 back in my ear which had been bleeding since at least the 2nd time he put the taper through (all 3 times the taper went all the way through my ear with the 3rs time jewelry going in my ear), told me to wait 4-6 weeks and come back in, use aftercare and sent me on my way after saying there was a $5 tray fee then said oh never mind youre good. I got to my car and my earlobe was swollen to double the size, dark red and painful and bleeding. Bleeding didnt stop for 20 minutes. I live in minnesota and it was about 5 hours before I could clean my ear and look at it. I took out my 2 plug and I see the blood all around and in my ear, and then I see a literal flap of skin inside my ear, just hanging out in there. I get it cleaned up and put triple antibiotic on it while my fiance called and told them what was going on, without the woman on the phone being able to see my ear, she tells him itll be fine, just use aftercare more often than you would with a piercing, she will be fine. No apology, absolutely nothing. They have torn my ear open, leaving a flap of skin hanging and they dont care. I went in at about 420 PM, its now 140 am and Im STILL in pain, to the point that I cant even sleep with having taken extra strength tylenol. I will literally never go back to any location.

Really disappointed with the last two piercing Ive got from Almost Famous in Fargo, ND. The first one was a dermal on my chest that fell out in the first three weeks I had it. Second, was today when I got my tongue pierced. I really love this store, but with the bad reviews Ive seen and now my experience.. Im not sure Ill be getting another pricing from that store.

Wouldn’t recommend going here if you are nervous to get a piercing. when I got my navel pierced here the staff wasn’t friendly at all. gave the girl at the desk my ID and she gave it back. she then said “wait are you under 18” the other worker then looked at her and said “well did you check her ID” (you could tell that they don’t like each other). I then told them that it was my 18th birthday so I was in fact 18. they both just looked at me and one girl said “oh okay”. on the way home my boyfriend was talking about how they were rude and he said “any nice person would said happy birthday but instead they just stared at you”. my pericing is also way too high basically on my stomach, completely missed my belly button. I called and asked what to do and they basically just told me that they won’t repeirce it and they won’t give me my money back. so i’m out $90. very unprofessional would recommend going somewhere else.

Terrible. I went to get my nose pierced. They lady who did it was NOT trained. The lady “supervising” had fo step in when the original girl only got the needle half way through my nose. They used the wrong sized gauge and the jewelry is 10x larger than the one i picked out… Just an absolute sh** show.

I got snake eye piercings here and they came out crooked and when mentioned to the person they just stated they were sorry.. i had a friend that got a septum piercing there and when she got it pierced it came out crooked so the piercer asked if she could repierce it and it still came out crooked just absolutely ridiculous!!

Understandably, due to Covid, procedures need to change, however; the process is far from efficient and at times, they are only letting 1-3 people in. I waited over 4½ hours to buy a new piece of jewelry for work purposes, was the next in line and I was turned away at 5:53pm because they were closing at 6pm. This is after it was announced that anybody physically in the at 6pm would be able to be helped. Well, they took the people in front of me in at 5:47pm and they were the only customers in the store. VERY FRUSTRATING AND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!!!

It was a bit of a wait, however they were very very thorough with cleaning in between each person and made the process really comfortable and made sure that even after the piercing, I would be okay to leave the store and make sure it was cleaned up and taken care of.

I am NOT happy at all with Almost Famous. I had previously gotten a forward helix piercing done at Addictions, and I love the piercing, but the earring that I chose kept getting caught on things like my pillow and blankets. So after it healed, I went to Almost Famous to buy a new earring for it and I told them that I wasnt able to take it out by myself because my fingers didnt fit in the small area that the back of the earring was located. She didnt even know what kind of piercing it was and how to take it out, and I had to tell her. When she was trying to take it out, it felt as though she was trying to just rip it out and I had to tell her to stop because the pain was so bad. When I reached behind my ear, I noticed that she had made it bleed. I told her that I would just go to Addictions because they know what theyre doing. I will never trust them with a piercing ever again.

Terrible customer service, made my friend and i wait 2+ hours for a piercing then said they weren’t able to do it because no one offered us an appointment card when they specifically told us a time to come back at. wish i could give 0 stars👎👎👎👎😷😷

My daughter went in there on 6/4/19 and bought a new heart jewelry for her helix piercing and they put it in backwards and the girl hurt her ear putting it in, took her 4 tries to get it in. My daughter went back in there today on the 5th to talk to them about switching it around and was told no they wouldn’t switch it around and that’s how it is suppose to be placed yet you look at pictures of heart jewelry in the helix and none are placed backwards like they did to my daughter. I guess I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t switch it around.

I had to go in today since they were the only place open on Sunday. I had to get plastic jewelry for a procedure I’m having. I needed one for my nose and cartilage piercings. She showed me the cartilage stud and “I can tell this is the right size” $15 freaking dollars later, I get home, and it is way too big!!!! Ugh. Waste of time and money to go here. Support the real professionals and go to a tattoo parlor.

I went in September to get my nose an bellybutton pierced. My nose was fine, but my bellybutton piercing is pierced sideways. Literally sideways. Only go here for your nose or your earlobes. Do not get anything else done here. They do not know what they are doing whatsoever.

I stood in line for over an hour and didnt get any indication it would take that long. I went to just grab 3 new earrings, but finally walked away and went somewhere else. I totally get limiting people in the store at a time, but maybe have 2 lines so people who arent there for piercings can just get in and get out quickly.

I went in for a lip peircing... the peircing and the staff where fine. But they charge a bit high and the ball on my peircing has already falling off because the accommodation for swelling wasnt there.Update: I went in and got it retampered. It hurt like hell but its back in properly. And they did it for free.

I had a great pericing experience, but I went back the next day to ask some questions since this is the first pericing Ive had besides my ears and they were very rude and blunt about the questions I was asking. I was told if I had any concerns to not be afraid to call and it come back and ask and if they are going make me feel like Im stupid for asking questions even if they are simple I wont be coming back. It just changed the whole experience Ive had.

I came in to buy a septum jewelry, and the new trainee didn’t know what she was doing or what I was looking for. She gave me the wrong size and when I told her I want to exchange she called another girl with black hair. She was so rude to me even though I’ve been a customer for a long time buying my jewelry from them I had to buy the size I wanted. Super rude staff who don’t know how to help a customers. Rude attitude.

I got my back dermals done a few days ago. The girl that marked them made one about half an inch too far to one side. Im not too picky but it was noticeable. So I called and the girl Katie (who is the only nice girl there) said she would redo it for me. She was so beyond wonderful and professional. I went back, just it cut out and put back in the correct spot. All was well until I looked close at it. The bar is sticking out which should NOT happen. The left one healed great and im so happy with it but the right hurts and is a bit jacked up. So, I called again with supreme guilt and embarrassment only for the girl that answered the ohone to be ridiculously rude!! Saying it was my fault. I just got this done yesterday. Anyway, ill be going back one last time to see if they can stab it back into place the right depth. Thank you so much to katie! Or Id be freaking out..

The employees are top-notch. Never actually received any bod mod; but, she was empathetic and I was guided in the right direction. Professional, and level headed.

Came here to get my second nostril piercing (opposite side) and she did a great job making sure I was happy with the placement, and the piercing itself was so quick and painless! Will definitely be coming back soon

Didnt use long enough bar for my lip so it be cut in and now I am not wasting my time and money again here. I am going to a tattoo shop now tinhav we them fix it for me. Very poor lady didnt seem to know what she was doing either. Definitely wont be going back again

I was very nervous to get my nose pierced. Trent pierced both mine and my moms. He made me less anxiouss and did excellent with both of our piercings. Will be going back to him for my next one :)

Called 2 hours before to ask if they were available and could do it. Drove an hour and a half to get there, Then when I showed up they didn’t have anything sterilized and were unable to do it. Told me that I could come back tomorrow and didn’t offer anything for not being available and unable to pierce anything and hour before they closed. We’re extremely rude and disrespectful to me clearly did not want my business. Will not be recommending or offering my business there again.

I went in and it was kind of busy so waited a little bit to go up to the counter but when it slowed down a tiny bit and my mom went up to talk to them and she just completely ignored her and walked away. Not only did that happen that one time it happened a second time but to me where they just completely walked away and ignored us. They were very rude and just had very very poor customer service. Learn to smile a bit.

I had dermals put in my cheek bones over a year ago and they are still there! With every piercing everyone reacts different. I got my first one done then my adrenalin started going and when she did my second one I bled all over! That is expected! If you will complain about bleeding maybe you should reconsider getting needles shoved through and around your face

Very helpful staff and answered all my questions before and after the piercing. Emilie B was attentive and made sure the piercings were perfectly even. I would get pierced here again.

The service was amazing went in yesterday to get my helix pierced and I was only there for about 35 minutes, My piercer was also super nice considering it was my first cartilage piercing. Plan on going again to get my next piercing.

I got one of my nose piercings changed to a plastic piece a while ago because I was having surgery the next day and the lady that helped me was very very nice she asked me if I was ok when I kinda shuttered a bit and she was very respectful and I just had very good service and I can’t wait to go in for my tongue piercing so yes I gave 5 stars they deserve more. 😁

Knowledgeable and friendly staff, quick with the actual piercing, unfortunate waiting time due to the sheer volume of people. They do let you go about your other business while you wait though. I would recommend to others.

Went to get my septum pierced a couple days ago and pretty sure she pierced through my cartilage and ended up not getting the piercing itself in. After about 3 tries and 20 mins of pain.

Got a nose piercing not bad but the wait time is too much.i understand there is covid regulations but a more than 30 mins standing on the line i feel is too long with no directions.

When to get my tongue pierced and my anxiety was through the roof. Maddi did a great job at calming me down and talking me through the whole process.

Had my nostril done and the bead fell out 2 hours later. They said I could buy another hoop or pay 7 dollars to have them put the ball back in. They didnt close the hoop properly so now I have to pay them to do it again. Very unfair.

This place is decent enough. I havent used their piercers services, but I find that for a specialty shop that is EXCLUSIVELY body piercing and jewelry, their selection is very limited.

They used a lip peircing instead of a nos3 it got infected bad and pierced in the wrong space.
