I got pierced by Alex at Dead rockstar on Saturday, April 6th! So far things are going as well as they can. She was very thorough about aftercare, she was dressed for the job(no clothes or jewelry that could interfere or cause problems when piercing clients, plus her outfit was very cute!) She was clean, did not rush, and overall Im excited to leave this good review! I got my tongue and septum done 8 years ago at the old location. Alex had no problem keeping quality consisten with my last experience and filling the shoes of the piercer I had b4. All my experiences at Dead Rockstar have been nothing short of the best. I would reccomend this place 10 times over to anyone looking to get pierced. These people know what theyre doing and will treat you with exceptional care. I love coming here! The jewelry is worth what they charge for it. It is some of the best quality jewelry you can get in fargo. I remember being annoyed by the price 8 years ago but I totally get it now. I STILL have my old jewelry from when I got pierced the first time. It still looks amazing and functions as intended. If you are looking to get anything pierced, go here!!!

I went in for a navel piercing but was told I didn’t have the anatomy for it. But Alex was so nice and let me switch it to a nose piercing! I’ve had 2 bad experiences with another piercing shop so I was extremely nervous. But WOW! Alex made this experience amazing and was very friendly. She helped calm me down, explained all the tools, and walked me through each step! Will definitely go again in the future!! Thank god for amazing people like her!

Alex was fantastic! I got 4 piercings total in my ears, but she was so good at taking away from the pain and making me feel comfortable. She also explained everything she was doing and gave me excellent instructions for aftercare. I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area who wants a piercing!

I got snakebites from Alex, i love them and are healing good. The aesthetic of the place was something i didnt expect, it was calm and not dark with blaring music, i enjoyed it.Alex was very informative and answered all the questions i had, she also had some cool trinkets she was selling in her office, very cool stuff.

Josh is a great artist. He did a piece from my girl friend that lasted 5 hours. It was a 12 inch hip tattoo. He also did a sunflower on her wrist. It looks incredible and worth ever penny definitely suggest giving dead rockstar a call

I sat for five hours with Josh and immediately booked another 5 to finish it. His touch is really smooth and the line work is clean. He’s doing a rework of my tattoo to clean it up and bring it to life. There were a few times when a spot would really start to hurt just because there’s so much color in it and he would move to a different spot to give me a break which is something I’m not used to. With my last shop my arm was in so much pain that still on day 3 I couldn’t move it very well but this time around I woke up on day 1 and it feels like I have the mildest of sunburns. And to add to the awesome experience everyone inside the shop was really friendly and welcoming. If I could give more than five stars I would. Thank you Dead Rockstar, you’ve made getting tattoos enjoyable again.

Ive had three piercings done by Alex now and I think she is the best piercer Ive ever gone to! Shes very professional, super informative and extremely helpful after the piercing too, I love getting pierced by her. Shes great at making you feel comfortable. I will be getting all of my piercings done by her and recommending her to everyone I know whos looking to get pierced. Super professional and you get what you pay for, service and jewelry wise.

I came in to Dead Rockstar a few days ago for a nose piercing. I was originally wanting to get pierced with a hoop. Alex said she didn’t pierce with hoops and explained why hoops shouldn’t be used for at least 9 months after the piercing is done, it makes total sense. From the minute I met her she made me feel comfortable. I was super nervous but she helped me feel a lot better throughout the whole process. I’ve gotten maybe 11 piercings in my life and she was the first piercer who used very certain methods and innovative tools and explains why she uses them. I’ve had piercings bleed for hours, this one barely bled. I won’t go to anyone else now and will tell everyone I know to go to her. Thanks Alex!!

Alex pierced mine and my sisters ears and she was absolutely wonderful. She was super vocal about everything she was doing and when she was doing it. It made us both feel so much better about everything and helped us have an awesome experience. This is by far the best piercing shop in town, and their tattoo artists are so talented! Staff is friendly and I trust Chuck with my life. He is one of the most knowledgeable piercers Ive ever seen. The entire place is extremely clean and they only sell high quality jewelry, so I dont have to worry about my metal allergies when purchasing from them! Prices arent bad at all either.

I have to give Alex a huge shoutout. I went in for a piercing today and had never met her before. When I say that from the very second she introduced herself that I felt safe, I’m not exaggerating. I was anxious but she was so professional and made me feel so comfortable during the entire process. The artist that did my tattoo was Michael. When arriving on time I had to wait 20 min before starting the appointment. The artist seemed inexperienced only just starting two years prior. The artist went to deep on many spots with patchy coloring and going outside his own lines. The experience with him was dull. I would not recommend visiting here or this specific artist. From what I saw he does not do original work either.

Dead Rockstar is one of my favorite places to go for body modifications! I reside in Jamestown, and I gladly make the long trip just to get my modifications done here!So far I have received two tattoos from here, and I am in love with both tattoos! The artist’s were very polite and kind. They would ensured that the placements of my tattoos were correct multiple of times before beginning and were willing to take a break if I needed it. They continued to be polite throughout the duration of the tattooing process and even during the after care explanation!Not only do I have two tattoos from here, but I have also received 6 piercings from here (two helix’s, two daith’s, a conch, and a flat). I had the opportunity to be pierced by both Chuck and Alex! Chuck and Alex are very professional, very polite, will double check your jewelry, the placement, and even what type of piercing before they start. They will explain everything they are doing step by step so that way you are aware of what is happening at all times. They both are also very thorough when explaining the proper aftercare and what to do in case of complications. Overall, they both have amazing personalities that makes the whole experience relaxing and fun!Lastly, I had a couple questions regarding a little soreness from a jewelry change. Since I followed Alex on her Instagram, I decided to DM her my questions. She was very polite and willing to answer all of my questions!Overall, I would be coming back for years to come!

Alex has been avery rude to me the past 3 times Ive been there, but everyone else in this place is amazing and so incredibly professional and kind. Chuck is absolutely amazing. I send everyone I know here.Update: I dont think Chuck is with the company anymore and it shows. They never have their jewelry in stock, and Ive been told up to 2 months for a simple stone piece of jewely, and then theyre way overpriced. Alex is still incredibly rude, and when I called to set up a septum piercing, I was told they are not longer doing those because of Alexs personal preference. Not sure who else in town refuses to do one of those most popular piercings. Im sad to say it, but I will no longer be going here or referring people.

Alex, their piercer, was very energetic and detailed for my nose piercing. She explained every part of the process in detail before hand and while she was doing the piercing, and answered all of my questions. It was also clear that she was good at making non-needle related small talk to help keep clients calm both before, during, and after the procedure. Shop was incredibly clean, has stricter COVID protocols than most places in North Dakota (a good thing!), and felt really supportive. Will definitely be coming back for future piercings and/or tattoos at this shop!

I just want to start this off by saying the piercer, Alex, was awesome. She was extremely informative, professional and postive and made the experience generally enjoyable! However, when it came time to check out for my piercing, I was shocked by the total. I had received a nose piercing, and had jewelry changed out on the other side. I was anticipating that whatever I had done would be within the $55-65 price range, and hadn’t gone over pricing with anyone before this. The only reason I didn’t was because I knew that it would be $37 for the first piercing, and whatever the cost was for the new piece of jewelry I had bought (which I figured would be $12-$15). The total came to $121 which to me is way over priced. I do feel a little frustrated that pricing wasn’t gone over prior, as I wouldn’t have gone through with it and would’ve chosen to go somewhere else as I wasn’t really able to afford this, and couldn’t back out once the jewelry was in my nose. I have no problem paying for services and I fully understand how much things cost within the world of body modification, but I do think that this was overpriced, and I’m sure most people would agree. I think the shop is really clean, and sanitary and everything about my experience was great, I just feel a little blindsided and frustrated.

I just got pierced by Chuck and it was great! He made everything as painless as possible. He had me check everything a couple times and even gave better suggestions on placement for my lobe piercings. They got me in the same day I called and great service all around. I will be going back if I want some more piercings down the road!

I had my very first tattoo done by Candi on June 8th and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Loved the design she came up with and was so comfortable during it that I almost dozed off a few times. Will definitely be going back to get more work done.

I had a GREAT experience here. It was my first time. All day I was looking for a place to get my double lobe piercings. I didn’t have much luck with the ones in the west acres mall because I refuse to have a piercing gun used on me(NOT safe, use needles). Anywaaay, I looked online and found this place. I was little nervous being that I never heard of it, but I was so glad I went through them! They practice social distancing, sanitize everything, I mean tbh, this place almost looked like a doctor’s office rather than a tattoo/piercing business. That’s how clean it was. Chuck was my piercer and did a great job at explaining the piercing process, aftercare, and making sure I was comfortable the entire time. Would definitely recommend Chuck if you are getting a piercing. Overall it was a great experience, the staff was super friendly, and the facility was clean. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

Alex pierced both side of my ears. Lobe and daith. I love how they turned out. She was very informative, nice, and we had great conversation. She went above and beyond! Ill be back for more. :)

Got my first tattoo done here 6 years ago and got 3 other tattoos done over the next 2 years by Candy. She did such a great job and they have held up so well. The studio is filled with awesome artwork, the place is very clean and the staff is very welcoming!

I got my first tattoo and chose to go to dead rockstar. Josh was my artist and I gave him the idea of what I wanted. He drew the most beautiful piece. He was very professional throughout the whole process and he made me feel at ease, even with it being my first tattoo. I knew he was going to do a great job and trusted him completely. He went above and beyond what I was expecting. My tattoo is so beautiful. Highly recommend seeing Josh!!

Normally I never write reviews but I felt I should for the experience I had with this shop. I was in contact with Candi to have a small, simple flower tattoo. After I had already paid the $30 deposit (Note that it is non-refundable, which I found odd) she emailed me saying “Just want to make sure that you know I wont do your flower upside down. It is absolutely wrong if it is done that way.“ I found this to be extremely rude and unprofessional considering it’s going on my body and I’m paying for the service. The pictures I had emailed were how I wanted it done and had I done it her way, it actually would have looked “upside down.” She also quoted me at $120 (not including deposit or tip) for a very simple design with no shading, about 2 inches long. I was told I would receive a refund for my deposit since I wanted to cancel and have yet to get the refund. I am writing this to express how appalled I was by how I was treated by the woman I spoke with on the phone and from emailing with Candi. I would NOT recommend a place that tells you your tattoo design is “absolutely wrong” and refuses to do it the way you want done. I chose to go to Golden Needle Tattoo instead, where I paid $80 and got a beautiful tattoo how I wanted.

Chuck is AMAZING! He single-handedly gave me a lovely piercing experience and skipped all the mumbo jumbo upon realizing I had a ton of piercings already which was MUCH appreciated. Their jewelry is quality and has never loosened up since he tightened it which is incredible. I took my new piercing out for surgery recently and it stayed open due to how well it had healed. Much love to you guys! Best place in town

Made an appointment a few days before the day went in. When I got in there they asked me what I was therefore I told them that I was there for a piercing and then they asked me to fill out the Consent forms and then asked me again what I was therefore and then the lady told me that they just stopped doing that piercing today and was telling me the risks of the piercing she never said no but we thought she was just explaining it she goes like well actually I am kind of saying no. She could of been straight up before even coming in for it, because on my appointment papers I explained what I wanted. She just seems rude and unprofessional

I got both daith piercings done with Chuck last year. Chuck was very clean and professional. I am a nurse so cleanliness was a big thing for me as well as the quality of metals used for piercings. I’ve never gotten a piercing before and he was good at explaining everything and making me feel comfortable with the process. He helped me pick my jewelry, a hoop on one side and a bar on the other. The reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of 5 is that when picking the jewelry, he did not pick a bar with extra length to allow for swelling. I took care of the piercing as instructed, but even with good after care, swelling is expected from the initial trauma. Then, 2-3 days after, I was in so much pain that I couldn’t do anything. Pain killers did nothing. I went back to Dead Rockstar and Chuck wasn’t there to look at my ear, so this other woman did (she’s not a professional piercer but had several piercings). She said everything looked fine and that this was expected and told me to ride it out. I went home in tears from the pain before deciding that night to go to a different piercer to get it looked at. They told me the bar selected was too small to allow the expected swelling. They helped me pick different jewelry and change it out, which as you can imagine was extraordinarily painful at this point. After changing the jewelry and continuing to load up on ibuprofen, I felt a huge relief from the pain.

I just got a septum piercing no more than 10 minutes ago, and I love it. Chuck was very kind and went through everything he was going to do. I had a question, and he answered it fully and detailed. He talked me through it and was patient with me when I got nervous about it. All out fantastic job and fantastic place. I will definitely come back!

I got my cartilage piercing done from here about 2 months now, and the staff was super friendly, the lady who did my piercing was awesome. She explained everything to me and also how to care for it afterwards. Definitely recommend this place.

About six months ago I had a piercing done and the lady was very friendly. She was easy to make conversation with, which made the experience much less scary.(Great experience!) I recently had a tattoo done here. The person that did my tattoo was not very friendly. When my tattoo was finished it didnt seem like the details were proportioned like I had in the drawing and some of the lines were not clean. The bandage that was put on my tattoo didnt even cover the whole tattoo.

Courtney scheduled, greeted me for, and did my piercing; she was professional, welcoming, and very kind. In love with my piercing, and will never go to any other place again. Amazing service and well trained staff

I have always had great experiences here with everyone! However on my recent tattoo touch up my artist Candy was a little on the rude side. I told her I went swimming after I got my tattoo and she was very short with me about how she’s surprised I didn’t lose a toe and she doesn’t know why people don’t take tattoos seriously. I had no idea there was a chance of getting a major infection and losing a toe because none of their after care says anything about it. It just states not to go swimming. Please elaborate on your aftercare forms or don’t be rude to me. I still love this place, I will probably never go back to candy though after the way she condescended me like a child when I was never given that information in the first place.

I absolutely LOVE Dead Rockstar!! I have been getting my piercings here for 10 years. After a horrible piercing experience at an almost piercing shop, I did my research and decided on Dead Rockstar. Chuck did my lip and nose. The difference in the entire experience was AMAZING! I had my eyebrow and belly button piercings done here, too. I will never go anywhere but Dead Rockstar for any piercings!!! Their selection of body jewelry is the best in the area! I am going to be getting my first tattoo from Candi this coming Thursday and I am STOKED!

The staff is so helpful and do what they can to help you understand your procedure. They also talk to you on almost a personal level and they know and remember everyone theyve helped. Amending my review a bit.Chuck D is incredibly professional and makes you feel very comfortable when he is piercing you. However, I have to dock a star because the jewelry he gave me was initially too small and pulled a little bit at the piercing. Ive recently had him replace the jewelry with a larger diameter ring which should help, and he gave me the ring for free as he acknowledged that the initial jewelry was a little small.I would recommend getting pierced here, just be aware that you may want to request slightly larger jewelry than what is initially recommended to account for swelling and other tightness.Edit: Adding a star because I switched to a lower guage again and it seems to fit me a little better while Im healing. It seems that piercing isnt really an exact science. Youll be taken care of here.

Beautiful new space. Clean, professional and friendly. Couple years ago I went in for a forward helix piercing and Chuck did a great job. Placement was exactly what I was looking for. Have had great service since with new jewelry.

My best friend decided to buy matching tattoos for us for my golden birthday. We both got a quote with half of the yin yang symbol. The lettering was beautiful but unfortunately both of us are planning on getting the yin yang sign covered up. Both were uneven, mine looks like an oval with uneven shading and the lines on my best friends were uneven and the shading was WAY darker than she wanted and the wrong colors than we wanted. The lettering is great on both but unfortunately we are both unhappy with the symbol and don’t plan on going back

Alex was great!! She talked me through my piercing the whole time and was so professional, this place is the only place Ill be going to for any piercings! The place is so clean and also amazing at taking this Covid stuff so seriously!

Feeling pretty let down, I went to Deadrockstar to have some pretty ugly scars covered up on my arm! The tattoo ended up getting infected on one area due to the artist going to deep into the skin then taking out the lid he had thrown away back out of the garbage, before he finished shading the rest of my tattoo! I ended up taking antibiotics for a week. I went and spoke to both owners about this issue. Ofcourse Blaine denied doing such a thing, then they brough up the fact I am a boarder line diabetic. I let them know I was cleared by my physician to get this tattoo, my a1c was at a 5.3 blood sugars are stable and had been for 12 months. It was not caused by diabetes! If that was the case the entire tattoo would be infected. It was only infected where he went too deep into my skin. The tattoo was sloppy in areas, wasnt colored in, in several areas. After it healed I made an appointment for it to be touched up, it needed touching up in several areas and they knew it did. Josh told me he would touch up the red and blue areas as they are not bold like they should be, the red looks pinkish 😖 The teal looks baby blue and not colored fully in! The other half was not touched up at all, during my touch up session Josh had several consultations coming in! I was hurried out the door. My tattoo is half touched up! I dont think its right or fair I have to find another tattoo artist and pay them to finish my tattoo when I already paid for it and also gave Blaine a generous tip!!! I am sad and hurt, these scars I waited so long to have covered up, so I and my family wouldnt have to be reminded of what happend to me. 💔

Dead Rockstar is a great place to get your first tattoo at!! The staff responses quickly to emails and the tattoo artists make you feel very comfortable. I would go back in a heart beat!!!

Hands down the best tattoo experience I have ever had and Josh did a bad ass job I will definentally be back for more from him. And I will highly recommend him to all of my friends.

Website asks to leave a comment when making appointment, but then they dont read the comment, so then when a person drives 75 miles to get a piercing, they cant get that piercing. Bad look for woman owned business Guess they are cash full.

My nose ring fell out and I went in expecting to have to get it repierced, but thankfully they were just able to taper it, which ended up being a lot cheaper for me. Their staff is amazing!!!

I got my helix piercing here about 5 months ago and my piercing has healed perfectly!The lady who did my piercing was very interested in what I wanted.

I would recommend Chuck and his staff for ALL of your piercing and tattoo needs. I have had 99% of my piercings done at Dead Rockstar and wouldnt go anywhere else.

Went in to buy a hoop for a nose piercing Im doing, denied from buying it and was told its illegal what a bunch of horsesh** Ill encourage as many others as i can to not go here for any body work done.

I like the look of the store, however when my daughter and her best friend were quoted one price and had to pay a higher one after the service was rendered it left a real bad taste for me. When quoted a price at consultation ask for it in writing!!

I got a quarter sleeve tattoo done and the live work was terrible and the ink started to disappear in spots after just 3 days. I went in for a free touch up and the excuse was that their machine wasnt working that day. I wont go back
