Pic is one week after. I love the design and Rodney was so great to do my first tattoo. I showed him a design for a Celtic Skull and let him improvise. It’s gorgeous! Will definitely be back for more!!

The place was very clean, the staff was friendly and very welcoming. I came in with an idea of what I wanted and my artist created something so beautiful my husband loves it!! My artist was amazing and patience and understanding. Ange is the artist that created my masterpiece. When I get more tattoos this is the only place that I ever will go! The team at Black Bar Tattoo is remarkable. I have been going to Rodney for years and I live in the Valley. The establishment is amazing. Tons of parking within the plaza. Upbeat and lively atmosphere. The work is remarkable and is one of the top shops in northern AZ for a reason. They take the time to listen, plan and execute accurately. They listen to their clients wants and needs and help them come to a decision that will have them satisfied for life.

So far so good. Ask for Rodney. Getting a tribal band covered up and replacing it with a full sleeve. Got 4 or 5 more sessions but this is the beginning. I dig it.

Walked in with 2 friends to get some small tattoos done. Rodney greeted us immediately and is so amazing! He took great care of us and was so patient while we made adjustments to our designs. He has a great personality and had no issues hanging with our sarcastic humor and throwing it right back.Super clean, great atmosphere and overall just a wonderful experience. Over priced. I paid $100 for a small wave on my finger. Took 10 minutes and I never sat down. He said $80 at first then decided to mark it up without telling us. The store was clean. No female artist

Jason has done 4 of my 6 piercings, and I wont be seeing anyone else for them. He made the whole experience comfortable, (almost) painless, and he had detailed aftercare instructions so my piercings healed beautifully.

Got a piercing here-Pros:+Quicker piercing than any of my others+Less painful than when i got the same piercing on the other side(industrial)+Super friendly+Gentle instead of manhandling to clean after+Pain was 100% gone by the time i got home (last time i got my industrial it was extremely painful for a month non stop because of s**t placement)Con:- There are none.Neutral:× It cost $70 whereas most shops usually charge 40-50 for an industrial. This is neutral because I would much rather pay the extra 20-30 and have a very well done piercing than save the money and be in pain/have a botched piercing. Only really including this in case anyone is interested in knowing where the prices stand.

I’ve gone to Rodney so many times for tattoos and I have never been disappointed. His work is the best I’ve seen and I get more compliments from the tattoos he has done than the ones he hasn’t, he is a chill dude and always welcomes you at his shop.

I had about the same bad experience with this place. They were rude and unfriendly. The guy told me $150-200. I ended up paying $300, it doesnt even look good, and its not finished. Im going to have to pay someone else to fix it. I think the guys name was Jesse or Jason or something. He put in the least amount of effort as possible, and tried to get as much money out of me as he possibly could. I went back 2 weeks later and tried to get him to finish what he started, since it cost me twice as much as he first told me it would and he said he wouldnt do anything unless I paid another $200. The owner of the shop was there and he straight up like stood behind this guy ripping me off and said cough up some cash or get out of our shop. He told me $150-200... why should I pay 500 for it. I was disgusted and I regret ever walking thru the door of that place. DO NOT deal with these guys. The guys over on Birch Avenue are way cooler. Any shop, go to any shop except this one. Or you will regret it.

All the guys who work there are professional and very talented! Jason spoon makes peircings as quick and painless as possible and his tattoos are always so clean and badass!

He (spoons) pierced my septum a week ago. When I got it done it hurt bad, I believe he hit some cartilage. & I was hoping when the swelling went down that the holes werent as crooked as they appeared to be. Long story short: the piercing was very angled. To the point that if I wanted to use a retainer to hide it you would see the retainer on one side.

Got my nose pierced, looked really good but was painful and guy took way to long to push it threw so it hurt for a longer time, and the normal piercer, didn’t show up that day, but i was happy with results

Dudes were awesome, very friendly and will make you feel welcome. Touch ups are no problem for these guys, love and respects.!

Since February of this year Jason has done 3 piercings and 1 tattoo for me. I highly recommend him!

If you go to Black Bar ask for Ange. She made it a super fun and gave my sister and I exactly what we wanted.

The guy who did it was very nice, but he pierced my septum crooked the first time, had to redo it then pierced it way to low.

Ange is amazing and the shop has a fantastic feel and Rodney is funny and entertaining. Great place.
