Ty is a wonderful tattoo artist. She designed a beautiful tattoo for the place I wanted to have it. This was my first tattoo and she was so patient and informative explaining every step as we went along. I would highly recommend Ty if you are looking for a great tattoo artist.
I was a late night walk in. Very impressed. First time there. Not only good conversation but the piercing was literally quick and almost painless! Highly recommend.
READ THE REVIEWS, wish I had.I dont think Ill ever be going back to either location. 3 separate shops Ive contacted; phone call and email (to provide pictures), have all unanimously agreed that this shop used incorrect sized jewelry for a healing piercing, TWICE, on TWO seperate occasions. I should have learned my lesson the first time, but it was a different piercer, so i took my chances, and i was wrong. The first time i had to have jewelry changed out I was told they would change it free of charge, which is great, but the entire time the person was making rude remarks and comments, telling me i wasnt following cleaning care if it was this swollen and surprise, I was. During this session they had to gauge up my peircing for the bigger jewelry, and surprisingly, The jewelry still wasnt large enough to accommodate swelling leading me to go back a 3rd time. The 3rd time was an absolute breeze, and very informative, with jewelry large enough to accommodate the current and any further swelling. The 3rd person was super professional, kind, and I wish i had been able to be pierced by that person. This leads me to the second mishap. Im not sure if its noteworthy, but every other time Ive been here outside of this particular time, Ive paid for services after a tattoo or peircing, and this time i paid for them beforehand. So, now that I have facts agreed upon by multiple reputable shops, I was not only pierced incorrectly, the jewelry is also much too small to accommodate swelling. I now know that the jewelry i picked out was not the type to put in a healing piercing, and i should have been informed of that, leading to two seperate people telling me they were most likely looking for a sale. Im fine with the making a sale. Im quite angry with not being informed that i should have had different jewelry for healing, as not only would i have still made my purchase, but now i need to get a very sore, swollen area messed with, and possibly have to remove it entirely and let it heal entirely before trying again because of the placement... The front desk staff was very perfessional, the piercer was quite nice, but the overall lack of explanation and improper foresight on both occasions is frustrating.UPDATE: Thank you for your response, but Im not looking for a refund. Whats done is done. The first instance of not long enough jewelry caused a rejection, and some bad scar tissue, that i now know cant be re-pierced. The second instance i was pierced incorrectly, and had to remove the jewelry. Im just looking to share my experience.
Everytime I go I leave happy. Today Corey did a cover up for me and I couldnt be more thankful! He did a great job to make sure nothing shows through. I absolutely recommend Grade A for any tattoo work you want done.
Got my second tattoo by Paul. The place was very clean and we appreciated the hospitality. Paul did a great job with his work and was super chill. For sure will consider coming back when I get my next one.
Contacted Allen Blackwell for a my sons first tattoo. He said he could definitely do it and scheduled a time and date. We arrived for the tattoo he was 40mins late. When he finally showed he had another guy come in and told us that he only had us scheduled for an hour tattoo and the one we wanted would take at least 3. He said to reschedule for a day he had more time to really get the tattoo right. We reschedule for the following week. We arrived for our second appointment and he was late again as well. The guy at the front desk called him and he said he was on his way. 2 hours later Allen never showed. The guy called him again and he said he was just about to leave the house. This guy is very unprofessional and highly unreliable. If you really want a tattoo by a great artist, dont waste your time here.
Responsive, affordable, and amazing services. i recently got a quote for a tattoo, after hearing back almost instantly they offered to get me in same day. worked with Miguel, he did a phenomenal job. won’t be going to any shop besides grade A on clinton from here on out. customer for life
Mariah was so calm and sweet and took her time this morning making sure my new micro-dermal top was in the correct way after two failed attempts from others. She was extremely professional, caring and kind and her room was extremely clean and welcoming.
I loved my experience here; I got two upper lobe piercings on both ears done about 6weeks ago and I am in love! To start I was a walk in, they fit me in right away, they were fun and professional. My experience was fantastic, when Im nervous I ramble like crazy and She was so patient with me, made sure I was comfortable and answered all my questions. I had a small scare about a week and a half after, when I accidentally broke the diamond off the top earing on my right ear. I came in and they helped me immediately, replace it and make sure it wasnt infected. Extremely pleased with my experience and when I get brave enough, I will defiantly be booking an appointment for a tattoo from here!
I didn’t get a tattoo, but my son did. I personally don’t have any tattoos on me! It was a birthday gift to himself. Jeremy at Grade A Tattoo’s was the artist & he did a very nice job on the design my son came up with. They were both cost affordable & thorough! Would definitely recommend.
This is a very professional and well run business. It is clean and nice. We were able to get right in, for a piercing, on a Saturday evening. The lady did a great job, and we were in & out in no time.
Allen Bracknell you shouldn’t threaten to smoke ( shoot ) past / previous / current customers because you didn’t finish a tattoo and owe them money . I give you , your flowers u a good artist , but a horrible business person and you treat customers with unequal respect and waste their time and money by making them wait, but want them to value your time , making up lies to get out of finishing a PAID FOR tattoo in order to keep their deposits . Never 👎 trust Allen at all he’s not a man of integrity and has a slew of family related issues on/off that may possibly affect him finishing your tattoo. And if you address him with an issue he may threaten to “ smoke you / shoot you “ too. Regardless of what I’m saying “do not “ I REPEAT , do not PAY HIM UPFRONT FOR ANYTHING.” Until he’s finished your session for the day . And hope that you can get back in to get your tattoo finished ✅. The guy below 👇 in the attached screenshot is not lying about Allen cause I had the same horrible service from him at the N. Clinton shop . 👇 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇. And Clyde the (owner) has not control over his artist . Because Allen is his supposed best artist he continues to let Allen disrespect customers and waste their time and money and re-schedule appointments and not show for appointments. And he’s still getting bad reviews for ripping people off . The state of Indiana really should revoke his right/license to tattoo in the state of Indiana for malpractice of his duty to paying customers.
Mariah does a fantastic job with piercings. My older daughter came to her for a nose piercing and it was such a great experience I brought my littlest in for ear piercing. My little has some special needs and I wasnt sure how it would go but because Mariah is patient and calm it went so well. She did a great job explaining things and moving at her pace. I would highly recommend her to other mamas of neurodivergent kiddos.
Amazing customer service, went in for a nose piercing. Was a little more than expected, but for quality jewelry not too bad. The process was quick, Bella did amazing I was in and out. Would definitely recommend :)
Got ear piercings here- Bella was great and very professional. Im not a fan of needles, so she made sure I was doing ok, and when marking the spot she took her time remarking until it was just right (my ears are uneven).
Mariah ( piercer) was awesome and made me feel so comfortable (even with my whining 😖) Very attentive and caring. I’ll be back to see her again! Only for a jewelry change PROBABLY 😁♥️ the experience with her on my 60th birthday! Ty Mariah!!!!
I was visiting FW and decided to spur of the moment get something done. I got a piercing done here and I had a very pleasant experience however once I made it back home I noticed after about a week my body was not agreeing with the piercing/jewlery. I went to another shop locally to have it checked out and was told my piercing was done too shallow along with the jewelry used for my body in particular was not a good fit and it was suggested to take it out as it was ripping the piercing. I called the shop just to make them aware of my experience and was told that just because another piercer looked at it and said it was wrong doesn’t mean that it’s wrong because piercing isn’t an exact science. Completely ignoring the fact that I stated multiple piercers checked it and I was told the same thing. No shade to the actual piercer because she was a gem but please make sure if you’re getting something done that the jewelry is tailored to your body and piercing. Whoever running that front desk should not be so inclined to tell people they are wrong because they have an issue. Being told I was “the first person to ever call in with this issue about this particular piercing” doesn’t make what I experienced false or that what I was told by other shops was essentially wrong. I was offered to come in and get it redone for free but I’m good with not doing that.
We found here literally the best tattoo artist in a states. Because we’ve been to a lot. Because we were working with about 15-20 artists in our life. So just highly recommend to this place and especially artist Isaac Roque!!He is just the best young talented artist! You will never regret to work with him. We will came back to Indiana only for his work again.
Had an amazing session with with Timmy Do Right here at Grade A Tattoo!! It was an all day session with the artist and was worth every penny. He has a great eye for detail and created an amazing piece based on a picture that was shown. He was even able to add a bit of wordage at the last minute to help just make the tattoo perfect. Will absolutely ask for him again when I am ready for my next tattoo!!!! Thank you!!!
I’ve had 2 piercings and 2 tattoos done, absolutely loved the experience and artists there!
Mariah did an AMAZING job piercing my 6 month old daughter’s ears! She was quick, efficient and so sweet with her! I highly recommend this place for baby’s first ear piercings!! She was very knowledgable about after care cleaning etc!
The bestest tattoo place in town thanks so much for all your work
Enrique is amazing! He has turned my forearm into my favorite of all my tattoos. I would recommend him to anyone looking for amazing work. Will definitely keep going back.
Ron was great. Had fantastic conversations. The price I was quoted at was the price I was charged, so there were no surprises. The tattoo turned out great and you could tell that he took pride in his work and pride in making sure I was happy with the work that was done. Thanks Ron
Walked in on a whim and I was able to get 2 small tattoos immediately! I was very impressed on the set up and cleanliness of this business. Joe did an amazing job and I wish I wasnt 4 hours away! Worth the trip!
Mariah pierce my daughter’s ears and was so kind and professional. Mariah made sure she was comfortable and explained the procedure thoroughly before proceeding. Once complete, she explained after care well, ensure we were satisfied and left without questions or concerns. Her attention to detail was great.
I cannot recommend Mariah enough for piercing when it comes to little kids! We have been in twice now with my 6 year old daughter. The first trip, Mariah explained everything very well and made my daughter feel like she was in control of how and when each ear was pierced. We were in and out pretty quick.Unfortunately, a few months later the first time we switched out the earrings, the new one fell out and the hole closed over night. So we needed to go back a second time. This time my daughter had worked herself up and was very nervous. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon but you never would have known with the way Mariah worked with my daughter. She took her time and made her feel like she was the only client there for the day. She never pushed my daughter into getting the piercing, just gave her options on how to do it, and hyped her up talking about how brave she was and everything. I think we were in the room for about 30 minutes. Maybe even longer. Mariah never once acted frustrated or tried to rush us out. She is very patient and wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend her enough. I will never take my kids or myself to anyone else.
Have had nothing but great experiences with Mariah here! A great piercer with a really clean and quick process. She knows how to do more specialty stuff so if you want something more out there come to her for sure‼️‼️
Mariah helped me with four piercings on 4/29/24! Two helix and a double nose piercing. She was quick and efficient and so fun to talk with, which made the piercing process easier!Vincent did my Navel today on 10/15/19! It was very quick, and he was very efficient and nice! It’s perfect!! I’ve very happy with it!
We love Grade A!! Nate at the front desk is always super helpful and friendly. We LOVE the work Dustin does!! He makes us feel so comfortable!
The girl that did my belly button piercing was very sweet however did my piercing completely wrong didnt even pierce my belly button pierced my stomach above it and it started to reject and rip through my skin very disappointed waist of money.
We went to Mariah on Grade A on Clinton to have our 7 year old daughters ears pierced and she did an incredible job. Our daughter ended up getting pretty nervous, almost changed her mind, and there were a lot of tears! Mariah was patient, encouraging and very sweet to her. She kept telling her, “You can do this!” And did I say patient?? It took a while to convince our girl to go through with it but we left with two pierced ears and a happy girl! Thanks, Mariah! Everything was also very clean, professional, and high quality. We highly recommend!!
Taking back and changing previous review.. that’s allowed, I hope. After simmering down and thinking through the scenario and the heated emotions. I can more honestly give a fair review. Now, looking at my tattoo as it healing up, I am very happy with the talent! He did take a complex photograph and put most of it in my back. He captured the details and lighting very well. But, I’m still very upset about some of the actions when it came to conducting business and I remain disappointed in the way things turned out(or didn’t) Maybe it’s just one of the many oxymorons of life.I now go from 1 to 3 as a review, I’d say 2.5 if I could! But I’m being nicer today! - Happy tatting everyone. Best of luck with your work/pieces! Thanks for reading my review, I hope it helps!
I’ve had multiple tattoos done at this location and the one at the mall. I recently got a piece done over a week ago and it is puffy, red, and inflamed, itchy and burns, even though I have been cleaning it with antibacterial soap and putting aquafor on it. I have 8+ tattoos and have never had a reaction like this. I went to the doctor and she said it was infected and put me on antibiotics. When I went in to talk to them about it they blew off my problem and said it wasn’t infected and was healing fine. One guy even went on to say that he still has some tattoo pain from an old tattoo he got years ago. This place screams old ink, uncleanliness, and unprofessionalism.
We drove 8 hours for Jeremy to Tattoo all 4 of us. The staff is amazing and got all of us in last minute and we absolutely love their work!
I got my nose pierced here couple months ago for my second nose piercing and I can’t remember the lady who did my piercing but she did it wrong. When I change my nose ring I have to find the second hole inside of my nose and it takes me a while to find and I have to force my nose ring through the second hole because the second hole is further down because the two holes do not line up and it gets really irritated and it leads to an infection because I have to find the second hole inside my nose. My nose piercing has gotten infected 3 times after getting it done. Luckily I got the infection to go away. My nose gets really irritated at the smallest things because the piercing was not done right. When I move my nose ring it hurts to move it to open it to clean my piercing and it feels like there is some resistance when moving my nose ring unlike my first nose ring and it feels like it gets caught on the skin inside of my nose. Now I have to take the nose ring out and let it close and let it heal. I just see it as a waste of my money.
Ive been wanting my nose pierced for a while and decided today was the day. I called in, and they said they take walk ins, so I went. They have a decent selection of jewelry. There was only one ahead of me, so the wait was not long. I cant remember the name of the girl who did it, but she was very friendly. I told her that I was nervous and she helped put me at ease. The place is very clean and she was very professional. I was in and out within a half hour, I think. I would definitely go back and recommend!
It was awesome…3 different tattoos and Brock Allen Lilly was spot on exactly what I wanted. What a talented artist! The staff was great walked out with super happy.
My daughter and I got piercings from Mariah. She does an excellent job… very professional, patient, friendly, and kind. Would definitely recommend her to anyone!
I’ve been wanting my septum pierced for the longest time so I called them in advance to ask some questions and they were super friendly on the phone. when I got there they were so super professional, polite, and friendly. getting the piercing done itself was swifty, I felt super comfortable with the piercer and I think they did a really good job it looks absolutely stunning and it’s everything I wanted it to be! I highly recommend going to this place for piercings!
Very clean location super friendly staff reasonable piercing prices Bella does a fantastic job!
I really loved my tattoo. I showed Joe an idea of what I wanted and he came up with something really awesome. This was my first tattoo and I was really nervous about the pain, but honestly Joe has really light hands and I would definitely go back and request him again.
Simply amazing. I had kind of an emergency because of a bad piercing at another shop. My helix piercing was so swollen that the jewelry broke and it was trapped in my ear. Bella and Mariah (and a prayer to my guardian angel) saved my ear. They helped me so much today - I cannot express enough thanks and high praise for these two women. I wish I would have gone here to start with. I’m sure I wouldn’t have had the problem that I had. ❤️❤️❤️
0/10 don’t recommend. I’ve had my nose pierced for about 4 years. I wanted to change my nose ring so I went to them for them to change it. Their piercer shoved the ring through my nose & then thereafter I’ve been having a reaction to their jewelry. I went back in and the customer service was HORRIBLE because they weren’t trying to listen to the fact that I’ve been had my nose pierced and never had a reaction until I put THEIR jewelry in. They won’t accommodate you for anything….. DON’T go for any service they offer….. not worth it !!!!!
Came here while in Fort Wayne for business. A young lady pierced my daughter’s nose. She was rude, acted as if we were an inconvenience and pushed us in and out. Staff was not friendly, not welcoming and I regret going there. I was surprised, as I had heard good things about them from my local tattoo studio. They were surprised when I took her to our local shop, that they treated they us that way, as they gave them a good recommendation. My local studio fixed it for free. Just our experience. This was several months ago and maybe they had a bad day or experience before we got there.
Nathan helped me purchase a new nose ring, when I called on the phone he was very nice and informative, when I came in shortly after the phone call he was just as kind as he was on the phone! Great customer service skills!
If you want art that others will notice, then this is a great place to go. I talked to my artist about an idea, he loved it, made it his own and now I have a fantastic piece. This shop is clean and comfortable, and you’ll have a permanent piece of art worth calling your own.
This picture isnt of my prettiest tattoo they did for me but it is currently my favorite. Its Marilyn Mansons, signature and a heart he drew for me on my backstage pass. They have helped me so many times and are kind and have amazing creative artists!!!
Mariah!!! Thank you so much for taking care of Noelle today she is so super excited to have her ears pierced again! You were super incredible with her!
My wife and I were walk-ins on a very busy Saturday night. Waited almost 2 hours but Corey, the tattoo artist, made it worthwhile. He was personable and very responsive to all our needs. Simple tattoos but he knocked it out of the park.
Outstanding friendly staff and gifted artists. Getting work done by Ryan Hadley. He is an amazing artist and extremely talented highly recommended. He takes concern for those hes tattooing and does his best to keep you comfortable throughout the whole process 💯
Took our Grandson to Grade A today to price a tattoo he wanted to get. They were AMAZING! The man at the desk ( wish I knew his name) was terrific!! Gave us the info we asked for and even said it could be done today!! The Tattoo artist : Joe Woodfin is INDEED an artist.. The stencil Joe drew was EXACTLY what our grandson wanted! The tattoo was done expertly and quickly! He does phenomenal work. ! If you ever want a tattoo you must go to Grade A! Ask for Joe! On top of fabulous service, the studio is immaculate ! Thanks to Joe, the staff we will never go anywhere else!!
My husband and I got hand tattoos and Ron was amazing. He did great work and created a great experience for us. His wife Rachel set the appointment up for us and was very helpful. She contacted me a few days before the appointment to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. She is so friendly and caring! I will go back to them for every tattoo I get!
Bella was great! She pierced my daughters nose, and she made her feel so comfortable. She also included me in everything which I appreciated!
Great experience overall. Ron Crider is a great tattooist and has a great artistic understanding. I had an idea of what I wanted, and he helped me flesh it out and turn what was in my head into reality. Very clean and well run shop.
Expensive. Kinda loud and little bit chaotic. I went before they moved to their new store. They used to be located in Glenbrook but on the other side from where they are now. In and out pretty quick though. Clean but small when I went.
I cannot say enough how great this place is. Great staff and amazing quality work. I was lucky enough to work with Jeremy and he was a great artist and overall great to be around. He made sure at all times that I was as comfortable as possible and went out of his way to make the process as enjoyable as possible. I can’t recommend this place enough to anyone and everyone. If anyone is wondering about this tattoo shop, it is top of the line and without a doubt one of the best (if not the best) places to get tattooed from in Indiana.
That establishment was very nice and clean. Seem a little unorganized and not the best communication between front guys and artist but the artist made the right call on time limits and we still left satisfied
Me and multiple family members got pierced by Mariah on Clinton in Fort Wayne In. She was AMAZING!!!! Not only did she do an incredible job, she was extremely nice and helpful. Highly suggest anyone going to her.
My daughters and I had our ears and 1 nose pierced by Bella. It was great! Bella walked us through it (I’d only ever been to Claire’s!) and it was painless and seamless. Shop was friendly, clean, and totally professional. (We went to the shop on Clinton.) We’d go back!
Got my tragus done there and they were fantastic! quick and easy piercing, was in and out in about 15-20 minutes! super nice people
Loved the environment. Such friendly and professional workers. Tim did a tattoo on my husband and it turned out beautifully! He is such a professional well mannered man! He was very easy to schedule with and helped us pick a perfect design! I will definitely be coming back for all other work 😊
Lady was rude, shading was mid, and lines were shaky.I asked for another stencil and she seemed pissed off just by that.I was trying to joke around to lift the mood and she was just not having it, like if youre having a bad day thats not my fault. She seemed like she was in a rush to get us out of there
I was a walk in for a septum piercing and Mariah was so nice and very professional. I recommend this place because everything is very sanitary and they tell you about the after care of your piercing.
A very good and reputable shop. Got all my piercings done with this company. They are professional, friendly and very good at what they do. My piercings were done quickly and with the least amount of pain possible. Highly recommended
Enrique was great!!! My first tattoo and it came out amazing! I get compliments all the time. He made the whole experience very comfortable and was very professional. He answered all my questions and told me what was going to happen every step of the way. Will definitely go back to him for more!!!
Clyde is hands down the best laser removal tech in the state. I drive from Indianapolis and its worth it. The shop is also the cleanest and nicest Ive ever stepped foot in. Dont waste your time anywhere else!
I had a walk-in piercing done. It was my first one ever. Staff took their time to choose an earring and explain the procedure to me before the piercing. Not sure why some people choose other businesses that use a piercing gun used by people not trained correctly. I highly recommend Grade A.
I got my tattoo done with Jeremy at the Clinton location. The place was so clean, his lines are amazingly straight and his shading looks great! I was worried I wasn’t going to be able to express what I wanted correctly, but Jeremy did such a good job helping me! 10/10 on every aspect! I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!
Extremely clean, professional, and polite. I had a walk in for a piercing yesterday and today there is very, very little pain. Smoothest piercing ever! Thank you, Mariah!
Maybe I’m too picky but I am not satisfied with my tattoo . Love the place love the people. Good atmosphere amazing shop , I’m just not as happy as I could be or am with the other tattoo I just got. you can visibly see the imperfections. I give the shop a 5 star tho.
Marco did a great job doing a dermal piercing underneath my eye, it was fast and he wasn’t super aggressive on my face which made it better as well as coworkers from grade A talking to me which helped me feel more comfortable getting a piercing like this, thank you!!I also got a tattoo with Enrique, it turned out amazing i love it, always made sure i was doing ok as well as making sure i was comfortable with the placement of the tattoo. Me and my mom got matching tattoos and he did an amazing job as well as keeping conversations with us to make the time go by faster and for us to ignore the needle, such a great place. will be back for sure!!!
I wanted to leave a “AAAA++++” this business is so well put together and run so professionally! My Piercer Mariah was amazing and gentle and made me feel so comfortable, just loved her! The front desk people we outstanding and friendly! Thank you so much!
I always get my piercings done here recommend 100% for that. Recently my husband and I got ring tattoos (so 4 small lines). We love how they turned out, the artist was great, always a fun atmosphere, but we were charged $160.00 total for these tattoos. I have a shoulder piece and a forearm piece and I paid less for those then I did my ring tattoo. Artist did a awesome job, I just believe we were over charged for what was done.
This was my second visit to Grade A at their Glenbrook location. My tattoo artist Ron did an awesome job. He did not rush through my visit, he made sure I got exactly what I wanted and even stayed after close to finish. We are already planning another visit to spruce up some existing art! Definitely worth it!
An artist here misspelled my tattoo. Upsetting nonetheless, the shop owner said that “they got me” and they will fix it for free through laser removal. But their laser machine is broken and from word of mouth of other people I’ve spoken to, they have told other people they could do laser removal but have yet to have their machine fixed and working. I understand that is somewhat out of their control in terms of it being broken, however, the staff did nothing to help me find a quicker solution, knowing that the machine will not be fixed for potentially months. They could have recommended me other people who could help, stayed in contact with me, anything…but they didn’t. They did not prioritize helping me, when it was their shop that made a huge mistake on the most simple tattoo. I do not suggest going here for a tattoo unless you are very familiar and trusting of the artist you have selected. This has caused weeks of stress, upset, and feelings of helplessness on my end because of their lack to prioritize fixing their mistake or helping me find a solution. They have my phone number and name and I have not heard from them once since I was there, when they said they would keep in contact with me.
Mariah did a amazing job with my Piercing. She kept me calm. She is amazing.
Bella made my day with her excellent customer service and positive attitude. I came in for a minor issue pertaining to my piercing and she took great care of me. Her smile was everything. Five stars!!!!
Came in with my girlfriend and they were awesome 👌 Walked us through the process/pricing, and had a big selection of jewelry to choose from. I got a double helix with lobe doubles on each ear while my gf got triples on her lobes and one helix. Not a bad price for 15 piercings and will definitely be back.As someone who has tried getting simple ear piercings (just doubles) in the past and had to take them out due to bumps or severe irritation (even following aftercare), I have not had any issue with my new piercings despite getting so many! If youre new to piercings or nervous, youre in good hands 😊
My boyfriend and I decided out of the blue that we were going to get his tattoo and I got my septum pierced. Mine took only like 10 seconds and his took a little over an hour but very worth it. The staff is very polite and welcoming the tattoo artist Jacob is one hell of an artist I highly recommend him if you want an amazing turn out. Great atmosphere all together!
This girl Bella did the absolute BEST job. she made it all quick n easy n had an amazing attitude the whole time. I love the piercing and the experience was great💙
My experience so far has been absolutely horrible. I had a consultation with Ty on Saturday May 6th. Thought it went well told her what my idea of the tattoo I wanted and she said she was going to start the design that day. I texted her Wednesday May 10th and she didnt reply till the Thursday the 11th, saying she would send me some pictures of it later that day. She never sent me anything. Friday the 12th she wanted me to send her pictures of my arm for sizing purposes so I did. I texted her again on the Wednesday the 17th asking her for updates and she ignored me, Again texted her on the 19th and again ignored and now I am writing this review. I dont know whats going on. If she didnt want to tattoo me pass me along to a different artist. This has been ridiculous.
So I went to grade A on North clinton in Fort Wayne IN. I took my daughter to get a Naval piercing and her piercer was this guy named Brad. When I tell you he was excellent, he was excellent. My daughter is a big cry baby, so when it was time to get the procedure done he was very soothing, I loved the cleanliness of his station, and was just a nice guy over all. I very much recommend that you go to this guy. And yes I will be back soon for either me or for the rest of my kids. It went by pretty quick as well. This guy is all about getting you in and getting you out as soon as possible. Love it
Allen Bracknell & his team at Grade A took REALLY good care of me. Prices are beyond reasonable & it was a pleasure to work with them. I’m very happy with how my tattoo came out & the quality of work. I strongly recommend Allen at Grade A.
My friend and I were walk ins, the shop was very busy and they did an awesome job setting everyone up with an artist and keeping it organized . Jeremy was assigned to us and he did both my friend and I in a very timely manner and did great work, was also very nice and and made everything how we wanted .
First off, Im not entirely sure how to voice my dissatisfaction from the Grade A on Clinton. From the phone consultation, the moment we walked into the shop, the artist we were assigned to (Paul), the other co-workers, and overall unprofessionalism from everybody involved in my whole process, was unmatched. The woman that did our phone consultation asked us to send photo emails of the tattoo ideas to give our artist, which we did. My first impression of Grade A, just from my Consultation, was poor. But I didnt want to judge just from that first conversation. Upon arriving for our scheduled appointment they asked us, again, to email our photos to give our artist....already giving us the impression that Paul has yet to even get an idea of what we are putting on our body. This proved to be true as when Paul introduced himself, he stated he has yet to sketch them or even lay eyes on the emailed photos we sent 5 days prior. Not to mention hardly anyone working in the establishment were wearing masks. Paul, however, is who ruined the entire experience. I cant quite describe our conversations with him, but they were so confusing and his eyed fluttered/closed consistently as if he was medicated. We had them keep our deposit and we left, without tattoos. I forgot to mention, while waiting to meet Paul the first time, another artist at the front desk tells a customer patiently waiting, to wait longer, so that he could finish his game of chess...talk about great customer service. We decided to book an appointment the next day at Studio 13, 5 minutes down the road from Grade A. The ENTIRE process was a complete 180 at Studio 13. Please, if care at all about PROFESSIONALISM, CUSTOMER SERVICE, QUALITY OF WORK....DO NOT GO TO GRADE A TATTOO.
I went and got a half sleeve done and Isaac Rouge did a awesome job! I gave him a rough idea of what I wanted and he took it and ran with it. It turned out above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined! He is very detail oriented. He is NOT heavy handed, which I feel is very important. The pain was very minimal. Very fair on the price, he was on time, and just a all around amazing artist.
I’ve never had any piercings before and went in for just lobe piercings. I wish I remembered her name, but my piercer was super sweet and friendly and made me feel comfortable. Everything appeared to be very clean and sanitary too. She did a fantastic job because I didn’t feel any pain during the process, and still have zero pain, swelling, or redness a couple days later. The earrings I bought from them are beautiful as well. The whole process was so easy and fun, I’ll definitely be back for more piercings!
Absolutely great at what they do. Great service. I love this place. Ive been twice now. I went once to get a small tattoo and get to know an artist because the last I went to left a scar and made it crooked. I went back today because they did a good job to get my first big piece. The artist gave my roommate who came with him a controller for the Xbox and maintained good conversation. It was all together a an enjoyable experience. He was also kind enough to fix my bad tattoo so I left him a really nice tip. I will certainly be going back to this place.
Sadly, my experience here at Grade A Tattoos was not a good one. Below is a picture of what I wanted my tattoo to look like and the second picture is what I got. The lady at the front desk was very kind and friendly, but the man that tattooed me was not at all. Placed the stencil on me very fast and had me sit down. Didn’t give me any time to look at the stencil in detail or look at it in the mirror, etc. He gave me no warning of when he was going to start and just went for it. He barely spoke to me. Look how crooked the horizontal line is on the cross. If he was on Ink Master he would’ve been kicked off the show. Everything else looks good on the tattoo. If this was my first tattoo experience, I would never want another one because how I was treated and what I ended up with.
Had a great experience at Grade A on North Clinton. Made a consultation online through their website. When I went in the girl behind the counter was very nice. Got a quote and made an appointment for the actual tattoo. Tattoo day I arrived 15 minutes early and the same girl was behind the counter. She said the artist was running behind and it would be awhile. She was very nice and apologized. When I came back they were still running a bit behind so I waited in the lobby. The other piercers there were also very apologetic and were joking with me. It wasn’t an issue though, when someone is getting something on them for the rest of their life it could take awhile. I loved that each artist had their own private rooms while still having it be very open in the back. Issac Roque was absolutely worth the wait. I am in no way an artist and he took my ideas and got it perfect the first time. I have some scars on my leg and he was very polite and honest if he could cover them. For my next tattoo I will definitely be requesting him.
Got my first tattoo here and had a great experience! Enrique did some awesome flames in my wrist along with some serif text on my forearm. I’ve gotten so many compliments and everyone says it looks really well done— and most importantly I think it looks dope!!! Super clean place, and had a good time; he was really cool and we had a great convo!
Mariah was awesome! My daughter got her nose pierced tonight. She was fun and very professional. I would recommend you request her!!
I have only been to this location and Ive only been once but i couldnt be happier. Allen bracknell is a great great artist, he isnt cheap, and for good reason, he does amazing work. Its been a little over a week, I got a tattoo on my hand, it exceeded my expectations! The entire experience was about 7 1/2 hrs and everyone was welcoming and professional. I enjoyed my experience, from reception to several other artists and I believe one of the piercers, they were all cool. It was a great environment and I will highly recommend anyone looking for black and gray piece that is important to them, dont be afraid to pay a decent price, Allen is well worth it. He is not heavy handed so there is no added unnecessary pain, he produces terrific art and he only wants to produce GREAT ART. He isnt just there for a check. I cant speak more highly of this place or Allen. Thanks guys!
Fantastic experience! My piercer, Joshua, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained every step he did as well as making sure my new piercings would fit right in with the ones I already had. The environment was nice and clean, I feel really secure about the quality of service I received. Definitely recommending Grade A to anyone looking for a quality piercing.
Dustin Meier did amazing!!! For my last4 small tattoos he’s done all of them! I’ve gotten a strawberry, playboy bunny, birds on my collarbone and script writing on my shoulder! I would so recommend him to anyone! Thanks for the dope tattoos and can’t wait to come back for some more🤪
Lo is an amazing piercer! He was professional and very clean! He also pierced my daughters noze and her friends. He kept them both very calm and explained everything he was doing throughout the entire process. Isaac just did a very inportant tattoo on me yesterday. He does amazing free hand work! This tattoo was everything I wanted and more! We joked and talked about a lot of things! He will be who I continue using for all of my tattoos! All of the staff there are overall amazing people and make you feel like you are at home! Only place I will go for piercing or tattoos!
I did business with one of their artist Vito, he’s very great at what he does. He makes sure the customers are comfortable before tattooing and he even goes good freestyle work lol I never know what I want. The supplies he uses is amazing and I thank him for his survive.
Just got done with second lobe piercings and a daith. I have never gone to a professional for piercings, but Grade A made it easy to do. Scheduled an appt. online and was asked a few questions by the front desk before I met with the piercer (didnt catch his name). I got the basic earrings for both and I thought it was reasonably priced for three piercings + equipment ($140/$90). The whole process was finished in about thirty minutes. I appreciated that the piercer had me check his spots before he started and asked me if I wanted a countdown or not. I found the piercer to be efficient and succinct, which might be off-putting for people who are new to piercings, but he still answered all my questions and gave all the info I needed for the next few weeks. Definitely a good experience! Thank you!
By far the best experience Ive ever had getting a tattoo. Thank You Tim for your professionalism, your input, your opinion, but most of all your talent. I got something very simple, but the lines were clean, and it healed beautifully. I appreciate the attention to detail Tim had. Thank you for making it a memorable trip and one that I will definitely ,make again.***Sadly, I must update my review- We made an apt with Tim a year later- and had a completely different experience- We were in “town” for the day(we live over 300 miles away from Fort Wayne)I had made an appointment a week prior to be sure we could have Tim again, so when we showed up for our appointment (at 12:40)that was at 1pm- and was told our appointment was at noon & we had missed our allotted time- I even had a email confirming our appointment with the 1pm time- still refused to tattoo us and the icing on the cake- they kept my $100 deposit-said they would refund my money- never happened.
I walked in to get my nose pierced without an appointment. Bella was able to get me in right away! She explained the process and walked me through all of it. I felt very comfortable and excited for her to be doing my nostril piercing. She was amazing and I highly recommend her! My next ones will be done with her!
Worst managed tattoo shop Ive ever been in... Artists arent the problem but the management.. Went to have a tattoo done 2 weeks in a row.. 1st time Alan was going to try to fit myself along with my wife and son in for a family tattoo and after we got looking at what we wanted done there just wasnt enough time.. Thats cool so we set up a time to be back Sat at 12 so we show up at a 11:45 foe the appointment come to find our artist is double booked and the manager said for what we wanted basically anyone could do it. So not only did I not get a call they wanted to bait and switch me so I would just have another artist do our tats.. They knew we were driving over an hour so they tried to take advantage of that. Thank God they give my deposit back so there were no more issues cause I promise it would not have went well.. You better consult with your artist the day of your tat or dont go at all!!!
I recently experienced a devastating family loss and wanted a tattoo to commemorate the loved one. I called Grade A and not only were they able to get me in very quickly they also were very kind and compassionate and were able to get a second family member tattooed with the memorial tattoo we wanted. The tattoos turned out beautiful: the attention to detail and the precision on the finer details of the piece were exquisite.Hands down. 100 percent recommend this shop for any tattoo needs.
Im honestly mind blown by the quality of my tattoo, Allen did a colorful galaxy on me and now I have a masterpiece on my arm. The shop is super clean and everyone there is so nice. Allen is definitely the artist to go to if you want a breathtaking tattoo (plus hes an award winning artist). They have other very talented artists there too, who also paint and draw and their pieces are beautiful. Ill definitely be coming back for more.
I stopped by the N. Clinton location because I was driving through Fort Wayne and wanted to get a quick tattoo done. They had great reviews on Google Maps and the shop lived up to all of them. The service was fast and friendly and within minutes of walking in I was getting set up with my simple design. The shop is very clean and professional and Issac had time to fit me into his schedule. I definitely recommend the crew at Grade A Tattoos!
Isaac Roque was the best! Came in for my first ever tattoo and he made me feel at home. The experience and interaction was awesome and the tattoo turned out way better than I ever thought it could have. I can’t wait to come back to him for my next one!
I shouldve written this way sooner. I got my nose pierced around May 2018. I LOVED it--it was/is literally perfect. I wish I could remember names!! So....fast forward a year....my daughter wanted the same thing...a girl did hers--which she loves--and I wanted a different stone (I never change mine, I just keep it super clean and leave it in always). Great service. Go forward a couple of months, and my stone came out and I couldnt get it back in for anything. I went back nearly in tears, and a guy put it back in for me, free of charge. I love this place. Great service, and our piercings, even tho theyre probably pretty basic as far as these things go, as perfect. Ill definitely go back if I want something else!!
We had such a fun time hanging out with these guys. They were super professional but also down to earth and chill. Nate was great (see what I did there?), Brad was the bomb at piercing my nose, and Isaac did my friends tattoo and hes a champ for real. Definitely recommend this shop. Like, seriously, stop reading this review and go there...
Ty did an amazing job with my tattoo. Turned out better than I could’ve hoped and I appreciate her big time for it! Highly highly recommend!
This is my second time going to this place and the first time it was a great experience for me but not for my Gf as lance was not a very nice fella and charged her wayyy to much for little work lol but we liked everyone else there. Timmy did my lion tattoo and did such an AMAZING work. And this time I went to Dustin. He stayed passed closing to help my gf and i out. Great, chill, and all around a awesome dude. Highly recommend this place to anyone ☺️
Edit to response:You may have me confused with someone else. This has nothing to do with the deposit. Your employee was late to the appointment by 45 minutes and then lied to us that he was working on the images for my friends when all he had was the print out of the images they sent. He had made no changes to them. He talked over us every time one of us was trying to say something. We had booked him for the day with three tattoos. Something fun for us since my friends and I had not seen each other in four years. I dont care that he couldnt do mine for whatever reason he decided to give. I care that he was unprofessional. I really wanted to support a local business and local artists but I will just go back to artists I know from previous work in other states.
Ive had three sessions here with Allen Bracknell. Allen is the best in the business, which is why I traveled from Houston to Fort Wayne to have him complete my latest tattoo. Also, Aric, the office manager is at the top of his game. Responsive, concerned about customer service and he just works hard to keep everything running smoothly. One of the best tattoo shops in the country, hands down. Give any of their artists a shot, you wont be disappointed
Worst tattoo experience of my life. Allen Failed epically...he was rude, and even insulted me at times. He was late and would disappear hours at a time. Didn’t cover my leg after first session and used same ink as night before left open all night. Gave me a poor quality tattoo and charged me $2200 for a $700 tattoo. I tried to walk in the beginning after waiting 4 hours for the first design and Aric talked me into staying even say he would pay for it if I didn’t like it...I regret not leaving. After waiting 6 weeks And multiple text he finally refunded $200 which really is a joke. This place stole $1200 from me and wasted two days of my life. The owner really need to understand what is really going on because my situation was wrong in ever way. My advise would to sit down with your artists and agree on design, quality, time and price before you ever make an appointment. I feel like the owner should literally put a camera on Allen and really watch and listen to how he treats customers. I chose him from work online I seen him do and I swear I didn’t get that guy. Rodney from Wicked ways did a lion on my ankle that was 10 times the quality and only charged me $475...I have never left a bad review on anything in my life and it had to on something that will be on my body for life! I can’t convey how bad this situation was and Grade A really should apologize for how I was treated as well as refund me at least an additional $1000 while correcting Allen for how shady he really is. I Would honestly just not deal with Allen or Aric without the owner babysitting the whole situation!
Joshua Gallant is not only punctual, professional, and responsive to his clients, but hes an award winning, professionally sponsored artist. He excels in all styles, uses high quality products, and provides aftercare. I cant recommend him enough for the best tattoo experience around!
The shop was clean and spacious. Was greeted by Bella asking what she could do for me. I was there for nose piercing. She was very professional, pleasant, friendly, nice, and smiled the entire time. She will be my go to for all future piercings !
Very unwelcoming. Very overpriced for simple tattoos. They wanted $800 that I had the other Grade A tattoo shop in the Glenbrook Mall do for $450. Artists are unprofessional. Would recommend the other Grade A any day over this one.
Mariah went above and beyond to assist our group and ensure that everyone was comfortable. She answered all questions we had and provided a great experience. We will be coming back in the future!
We made an appointment for a fairly tattoo and paid a $100 deposit. When we showed up for the appointment we were told the artist was going to do a small finger tat really quick, 15 minutes then we’d be ready. An hour goes by. Then 2. 2 hours and 45 minutes. Guy at the desk avoiding eye contact, doesn’t even acknowledge us. We just left. Outrageous.
I’ve had serval piercings and got a tattoo all at Grade A. I’ve always been super pleased with all the workers and the quality of that place. I just got my nose pierced by them and it looks amazing! I scheduled my appointment online and on the day of my appointment, everyone I talked to was super great. Brad Rizor did my nose piercing and he did a really great job! I’m super pleased with it. It’s a really great atmosphere and I would highly recommend going there!
I am from out of town and had a friend recommend this place,so I went in and had Corey work on me. He did a great job and happy that I went there.
My experience with Grade A exceeded my expectations. The staff are all professional and caring individuals who want the best for their customers. Jordan did a spectacular job and I couldnt be happier with my first tattoo. Im looking forward to coming back and getting more in the future!
Jeremy was great from start to finish the matching tattoos for me and daughter came out wonderful would recommend him anytime
This was definitely a place that showed the standards of any professional tattoo parlor. They explained everything in clear terms, answered all of my questions, and were personable the entire time. I was able to have easy and carefree conversations with my artist. They produced beautiful work that was accurate and flawless. I am in love with my new tattoo. I definitely recommend this for people looking for a new tattoo parlor or anyone getting a tattoo for the first time. Theyre so welcome to helping you with all the steps, aftercare, the process, and even prices.
I visited several shops in the Fort Wayne area and ended up choosing the Clinton Street location after speaking with Isaac about the idea I had for my first tattoo. He seemed excited to do it for me. Being a first timer, he did a wonderful job answering my questions and making the whole process go smooth. A week and a half has passed since I had my tattoo come to life. I have to say Isaac did a great job. Thank you
Jeremy did a great job fixing a bad prison tattoo, and made it into something I can be proud of, theo entire staff was fantastic and helpful and fun! Will definitely go back for more work in the future!
My daughters first tattoo was a success! A lady named Ty did a great job! Very professional kind and did a great job
I highly recommend this shop! Allen Bracknell did my tattoo and he killed it! I will never go to another artist again. I did have to wait a little while but it was well worth the wait. The crew was so polite and sweet to me. They made me feel very welcome.
Craig did an amazing job today on my tattoo! He was very welcoming and designed it perfectly! Welcome back to the area Craig! I’ll definitely be going back for him to do another one.
Incredibly professional and fast service. I got my nose pierced here and everything so so clean and sterile. Ive had my nose pierced 2 other times at 2 other places and it was never as clean as here and both other times my nose always got infected. Its been almost a month now and my nose is still in perfect shape! Definitely worth the little extra you pay. Will be going back here to get my jewelry changed out once my nose heals for sure!
Walked in and was immediately greeted & helped with answers to everything I wanted in to know. The people there are as knowledgeable as they are skilled. Was very impressed with all the artists portfolios. Each having their own unique artistic ability. I assure you that anyone looking to get a tattoo will have no issue getting exactly what they desire👌
Drove all the way from Illinois with my friends to get tattoos. At first the experience was great, they were friendly and understanding when we got lost and were slightly late. No one told us there were two locations. So when we finally arrive we showed the guy what we wanted, where he proceeded to tell us the pricing. Which we all agreed to. What we didn’t agree to was paying for him to go have a smoke break after every tattoo for 5-10 minutes. Claiming the ink for the stencil needed to dry. Never in my life have I been to a place that needed the stencil to dry for 5-10 minutes. Also, none of our tattoos took longer than 10 minutes, so it’s not like he really needed the break. Personally viewed this as very unprofessional. Don’t ask for Jeremy if you go to this place. You’ll be paying for him to chain smoke.
Im only giving this place a 1 rating because there is no where to give a 0. My husband had a scheduled appointment today. When he checked in for the appointment he was told the tattoo artist was just finishing up on another tattoo. He waited over 2 hours. Nobody checked on him while he waited. When he went to the desk to voice his fustrations he was advised to leave and that he wasnt checked on due to the governor. Lost the $60 deposit but maybe thats their scheme and how they do their business. Our family will never go back. Very unprofessional.
Got tatted by Allen on a Saturday around Jan and told by the shop that he would be 4 hours late. After his arrival I didnt get tatted for another three hours after the initial delay!! First Session ended around 10pm and was told That the tat has not been completed and would need to come in the next day. Same fashion With the second session where the tat Started 3 hours later than the time scheduled and it didnt end until 11pm and was again told the work is not completed. Was told to call in to reschedule which I did I called the next day and session was set for the 23rd May. Decided to call in to ensure everything are set and was planning to ask for the session not to be delayed but then was told I was not scheduled in(no common sense to call me and let me know)Basicallyy I have paid $2500 for an incomplete tattoo
Ventured out to Fort Wayne to visit a friend and happened upon Grade A Tattoos. Went with my friend to get her nose pierced by Brad (who is awesome by the way and full of jokes) and randomly decided to get a tattoo the next day.Issac was hoot and a holler, but he did an amazing job on my tattoo. His willingness to make me feel comfortable and at home was definitely appreciated. Plus his music was on point. Oh and of course we cant forget Nate who is more than likely the first face that you meet upon coming into the shop. Very knowledgable and helpful!Everyone here is so down to earth and chill, but the best part is they do a great job providing whatever service it is that you came in for! If your ever considering getting a Tattoo here I would recommend you get in your car now and just DO IT! Like seriously GET YOUR ASS THERE NOW!!!!
Stopped in on a Saturday night to get a piercing. Greeted right away and was explained the process. Several jewelry options to choose from. Clean, professional and I appreciated the gentleness of the gal doing my piercing. Overall a great experience here.
I came in looking for a nose piercing and was told the price was gonna be $50 the entire service was amazing I’m 16 so my parents had to sign off and there was no lengthy paperwork like Claire’s gives and it made the entire process so much faster. No appointment needed and I only waited 10 minutes max in the lobby went to the room and the piercing too less than 5 min it was the best experience ever!! I definitely recommend coming in for a piercing!
Very friendly peeps, tat looks awsome, great service
The first time I call, the woman was very rude. Then the second time that I called, due to me writing the email down wrong, she was sorta okay. I was told I would receive an email back after the artist looked at the tattoo. It was two days later and I called because I didnt receive a phone call back. The man who answered apologized and we planned and scheduled it. I wanted a cross and was told that the person doing it didnt do it the way I wanted, that it was upside down. I didnt understand what he meant but said okay. My friend and I went together to get ours. When the artist showed me what he meant by upside down, I didnt like it and there was no other artist available. My friend got hers down and it was great. I was offered my down payment back so they were very understanding. My only compliant is the rude receptionist and the not getting a call back.
Went with a group of friends to get some piercings (I got my daith pierced) and they were super nice! Ive been here a cpl times for piercings and they are always very professional. They were super busy bc everyone and their mother decided that day was the day to get a piercing but they got everyone in and out relatively quick. Staff was nice and clean shop like usual!
Got a nostril piercing from Josh. Scheduling was easy and they accommodated us on the same day. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He didn’t rush us, took time to explain everything, and send a follow up email on the same day and again after six weeks. Pricing was fair. Josh took the time to show us the sterilized tools and the test that showed they had passed the sterilization test. I have 13 piercings and nowhere else has ever taken the time to do that.
I had emailed my tattoo artist the night before asking if he had an availability because it was a tattoo idea that was spur of the moment. And while emailing with him he said that he would have an opening at 2 the following day but to call the shop to book the slot. So the following morning right when the shop opened I called to make my appointment for the day and was notified that there was already an appointment. So I had to book and hour and a half later then what I originally wanted. I arrived at the shop 15 minutes early and got signed in and ready to go. Just to gave the artist make me wait for 45 minutes before he came out to tell me that he was running behind on his previous appointment. I was said okay and then we started our wait again. Another 45 minutes went by without any word from the artist or the other people working to ask me if there was anything I needed. I eventually just got up and told the receptionist that had been gone for an hour that I was leaving and to cancel the appointment. There was no reason I should’ve been waiting that long for an appointment that was scheduled. I have been a customer there for a while now and can tell you that I won’t be coming back. Truly disappointed in where this shop is going.
Very cool people. I took my kid in for a piecing and asked about maybe having some ink restoration done while I was there. We were walk ins so I really wasnt expecting much, but one of the guys came out and talked it over with me and gave me some options to consider. The work they do is incredible. Since it was my kids first piercing the snxiety was a bit high. They explained everything and made a tense time must more relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend this place.
The young guy working there (his name escapes me) did a wonderful job. Very down to earth guy. My girlfriends first tattoo and we expected a nasty, run down parlor, but this place was immaculate. Incredibly clean and staff was friendly. Would highly recommend.
Jeremy and the entire staff were professional, kind and detail oriented. I highly recommend this shop! They employ amazing artists!!!!
Zero after care instructions on tongue piercing.I was nervous and just wanted to get it done before I talked myself out of it. Then after, I couldn’t ask because my mouth was full of blood. (I get it, it happens with the blood) Check the other locations, this one seems to be a quick fix for impulse mall shoppers.
They are so welcoming in they are amazing with getting work done. They will ask if you need anything and make sure you’re comfortable with everything. Marcos was my piecer and Nate was the person working the front desk when I walked in. He answered all my questions and made sure I was okay.
Have had multiple tattoos done here by Allen Bracknell and have never had a bad experience! Pricing is competitive, especially for the insane amount of detail. Only downside is that it will take some time to create the tattoo, stencil, etc which is expected to make it perfect. I get many compliments and people asking about the tattoos. I will continue to go here for all work in the future
AH-MAZING!! Ive gotten 2 tattoos from the Grade A in Glenbrook Mall and they turned out pretty well-done. But both my nose piercing and industrial wee done at the location on Clinton. I really do appreciate that this place accepts walk-ins -- because if I have to schedule then I have too much time to overthink and second guess myself. My friend and I walked into the shop and Brad greeted us and talked to us like equals -- except one obviously had more knowledge on the subject than the other! :D We were in and out in under 30 minutes. He was clean, fast, efficient and well-mannered. I liked the fact that he blared music while doing the piercing and made us very comfortable. Thank you Brad!
I got my tragus pierced here this weekend! The shop was clean, the guys were nice & welcoming & made me feel comfortable. Ben did an awesome job on the piercing. It didnt even hurt and looks great! Ill definitely be back!
I had an appt booked for 6 months at the Cresent Ave location. The artist didn’t show up to work that day. It was very important to me to get it done that day because it was my (deceased) mom’s birthday. The manager at the Clinton location worked hard to find the right artist to do the work I wanted. Jordan Lindsay did a fantastic job! Decided to get a piercing while I was there. Joshua was very professional and hilarious & helped me relaxed. I’ll definitely return to the Clinton location! So thankful for all that they did.
Very clean and classy studio, the atmosphere was super comforting! I drove from Ohio to get my septum repierced and Vence was very understanding and knowledgeable! He sterilized everything and explained every step. In love with the placement of my piercing, definitely recommend this shop!! Thank you vence!
Jordan did beautiful work on my new ink! She was friendly, professional, and talented. The rest of the employees were talkative and nice, and helpful with checking in and upon leaving. The shop was very clean. I highly recommend!
My initial review was deleted or something. Here is the story: I went to Allen and paid a lot of money for a half day of tattooing which was what he said it would take for a rose on my upper arm- his breaks were as long as the time he spent tattooing me. I was okay spending the money for a good tattoo BUT it faded to almost nothing a few months later. I was not new to tattoos and took great care of it. I had travelled hours to go to him and was super disappointed in how it healed (im not exaggerating when I say I could barely see the thing). Anyway, I made my concerns known and after a while all I was told was that I could go back to Allen for him to redo the tattoo which of course I was not interested in for many reasons. That is not okay. I finally was able to get the rose done elsewhere by a different artist (who took much less time, was super nice, and only charged for actual tattoo time) and it looks great. At least now I have a tattoo that I am proud of. I got no compensation, no apology nor sympathy from Allen or the shop owners.
I took my daughter for her first tattoo on her birthday. Always a good experienc when I come in no matter who helps us out!
Ive gotten multiple tattoos and piercings here and i always go back. They all do such a great job. Front desk people are very helpful. The piercer and tattoo artists are all super cool ,very clean and on time. I highly recommend this shop, they also have a location inside the Glenbrook mall. Check em out if you havent yet! You wont be dissapointed !!!
Enrique did a wonderful job giving me my first tattoo! He was able to bring to life what I was imagining in my head and did an excellent job coaching me through the experience. Would recommend.
I got my nose piercing done by Joshua, the shop was so clean, the staff were friendly, and I loved the variety of jewelery pieces to choose from. He was very informative and helped me pick out a piece that fit into my bidget and explained the whole process from start to finish. He made the whole experience easy and comforting. Defiantly will be going back.
Thank you again Enrique for sharing your talent and the starting of my half sleeve. Your attention to detail when Im was sharing my vision takes skill. The patience that you had with me didnt go unnoticed either. I cant wait
Got my very first tattoo today at the North Clinton location. Went to Ralph.. he was heavy handed while doing the tattoo, but thats not my primary issue.. he lied about the price. I paid for 3 tattoos He told me $80, $80 and $100 , but then he charged $80, $100, and $120.. he is way over priced.. the $80 tattoo has little to no detail and its smaller than a nickel. He left a bad taste in my mouth for a first time tattoo experience!
I got my first tattoo from Timmy in 2016 and ever since, he’s my go-to artist in Fort Wayne! He’s professional, kind, patient, and does his best every time! He is a natural at what he does, and definitely strives for perfection. Out of my 16 tattoos, Timmy has done 12. If you’re in Fort Wayne and need an experienced, professional artist, go see Timmy at Grade A on North Clinton!
I paid for a gold nose ring from them and just wanted them to help me switch it out. I couldnt figure out why it was so painful and why it wouldnt turn in my nose.. I went some where else to get it looked at and they said it looks like they gave me cheap jewelry and squeezed it together in my nose. It ruined my piercing and now I have to start the piercing process all over..very disappointed with this place. Definitely do not recommend for piercings!
Do not under any circumstances go to this business for tattoos! I booked an appointment for an upper arm tattoo with Timmy, paid $200 for design and down payment eight months in advance, and when it came time to do my tattoo he ghosted me completely claiming he needed to reschedule a few weeks but couldnt give me a date then literally never responded again. He refuses to answer me on Instagram and he STOLE MY $200 WHEN I BARELY HAVE ANY MONEY TO KEEP MYSELF FED AND IT WAS CHRISTMAS!!
Amazing piercing experience! She was running behind but was super professional about what was going on made the whole experience so worth every penny. Will definitely come back for Becca’s work!
Allan Bracknell did an amazing portrait of our son. Highly recommend him for portraits. the only complaint I have is abt their front desk. they needs education on their customer service skills. Mariah is rude, with bad attitude, am sure you lose clientele due to her behavior. When I client asks (after setting up apt & paying $300.00 deposit for a $ 1500.00 tattoo) if the tattoo artist will be doing the session in one day or several, the answer should NOT be Am not an artist I wouldnt know the answer shouldve been I do not know but I will ask & I will get back to you. Had we not already chosen Allan to do our tattoo, we would not have gone back.....btw. The people at the Glenbrook location were professional & their customer service was excellent.
Long story short I spent a pretty penny on work that was NEVER completed nor done as best work from Ryan Hadley. If y’all were to see his work he’s done prior & after mine you’d see this is not quality!! I contacted him, his assistant Nate AND the owner Clyde to make this right. Yet, they wanted an additional $400 or another artist to fix and finish it but I’d still have dish out more more money regardless. Clyde never got back to me except to tell me Nate would. Ryan ended up blocking me via phone and msgr. I’ve reached out several times not trying to cause a scene or publicize it. Well my patience is done and I will be following through with taking it to court as promised!!I must say Jeremy & Lanch have also done work on me as well and they did amazing!! So I hate this rating will affect them.Update:Since I can’t seem to respond to your response... It’s BS and you all know it!! Ryan knows I would never agree to pay that much for a tat!! Let’s add up the hours I was rescheduled last minute as well!! You STILL WANT ME TO DISH OUT MORE MONEY!! For something I was quoted for at a set price!!Ps... Judging me for a tattoo not hardly!!
All the staff were great! Vay did my tattoo and it is amazing. I have already recommended him to several people. I good not have asked for a better experience for my first tattoo.Thank you very much!
Best piercing/tattoo place Ive been to! Very clean, staff was very helpful and friendly! I live in Alaska and will plan to visit again when I return To Ft Wayne. Josh is an amazing piercer and they have awesome jewelry for purchase as well.
My preferred artist here is Josh. Been going to him for years and he never disappoints.
I got my double helix done and it looks AMAZING, only thing is that the backs are HUGE and get caught on my hair easy. I also got my industrial done and I LOVE it but it rly looks misplaced but I’m not to worriedOverall I’m pretty happy :)
I have had a lot of tattoo work done at Grade A. Timmy did my sleeve and my forearm pieces. Amazing shop with amazing artist! Everyone there is super friendly and easy to work with. I wont use any other shop to get my tattoos done.
I got an industrial piercing last week and the middle of the bar started digging into my ear making a very sore indention in it. I went back to Grade A to fix it or to give me a bent barbell or bend the one I got with the piercing. A different piercer said the only thing I could do was to take it out and get it repierced. He said I could go to Spencer’s to look for a bent barbell and they’d put it in for me. I went to Spencer’s and the lady there was very helpful. She informed me that it should have been pierced at a different angle due to the anatomy of my ear. They didn’t have bent barbells but she helped me find some hoops for it. She recommended I try other and more professional places in town if I wanted to try a bent barbell. I find it sad that the worker at Spencer’s knew more than either of the piercers at Grade A. I am angry that it wasn’t done right the first time and now I have to go through the pain and inconveniences. I may have to get it repierced anyway but would never go back to Grade A for that or anything else. I’ve been getting body piercings for 24 years and this is the worst experience ever.
Ive gone here for a tattoo before. My sister had an appointment for her very first tattoo with Jordan. She even took off of work, yet with two hours of driving and forty minutes of waiting, she never showed up. Nobody ever contacted us to let us know, so we wasted a lot of gas and time for nothing. Very disappointing and inconsiderate :( The girl at the front desk offered to get another artist to do the tattoo, but the lack of professionalism and consideration put a bad taste in our mouths. We will not be returning.
Grade A? More like grade F. I’m sorry, but my friend came here to get her first tattoo and they were terrible to her. We live an hour away. The appointment was at 2, we arrived at 1:30 and the artist texted us at 1:45 (seriously?) saying he didn’t feel well and asked to reschedule. I get things happen, but if he’d been feeling sick, he should have given more heads up. We called the shop, (which claims online they always welcome walk-ins) the guy who answered said they couldn’t get us in even though we had an APPOINTMENT that the ARTIST CANCELLED on. They were so unsympathetic and they didn’t even offer an appointment for another time. Poor customer service is a no go for me.
Destiny is the freaking BEST!!! Her designs are freaking awesome!! She goes above and beyond on the tattoos she does!! I am in love with my tattoos from her!! 😍 if you haven’t seen her then you definitely need too!! She’s worth the travel !!!!
Nate was a phenomenal representative for Grade A and was very attentive to clientele while still ensuring my tattoo and artist was taken care of. Ryan Hadley did an amazing job on my arm piece!
Always a good experience there! Ive gotten all my piercings and tattoos at Grade A and the staff is always very welcoming and fun. Nate and Ben helped me today and they are both very nice and talented guys :)
Enrique was amazing and very professional. Kept his station clean and made sure my design was exactly what I wanted before we got started. Would recommend Enrique for any design! Will be back again (:
My hubby and I got our first tattoos today at Grade A. Isaac and Allen did an amazing job!!! You can tell they put a lot of heart into their work!!! They are both amazing artists!!
People are nice. certainly talented artists at this shop. However, prices are steep. I was quoted $100 for an industrial piercing. I paid $80(not including tip) for a tattoo, approx 1.5in. would not recommend for smaller tattoos, but if you are getting a large realistic tattoo, I would check out the artists portfolios inside.
I will not go back here. Every time I come in here there is always a problem. The staff is very rude and unprofessional. I went a week ago to get 3 small tattoos, one was for my pinky fingers the artist told me he doesn’t do finger tats because “they don’t last”. I stopped in today because the 80 dollar 18k gold nose ring I bought from there fell out my nose. There were two people who do piercings standing around and the one guy told my I could take a seat because there were people in front of me and he was rude about it. I left and won’t be back there againIts not about waiting my turn. I understand that I have to wait my turn. There is a big difference between waiting and the response I got from the guy at the front desk. He was rude and condescending. I didnt get a we understand what you want, just give us a minute to take care of these people who are also getting piercings and we will get to you instead I got a well you can have a seat because there are people ahead of you.. after I asked what was going on since no one gave me a answer.. Like i said before this isnt the first time Ive interacted with rude people in your facility. In regards to the finger tattoo I should have been set me up with an artist who was competent and capable to do whatever the costumer wants.
Clean premises with friendly staff. Ive seen Timmy twice for two beautiful pieces. Hes been a pleasure to work with, professional, and very patient.Everyone is really good with hand washing and using sterile disposable tools, very clean. Everyone uses gloves. If your looking for a a great tattoo, Id definitely recommend it.
Just finished with Jeremy and love my tattoo. He did an amazing job. He was super friendly and efficient. Will definitely return to him for any future work.
I wanted to say thank you for the amazing work that yall did for my husband and I today. We will definitely come back to yall for more tattoos. Definitely spreading the word of how awesome your work. Best Birthday present 🥳
Did my tattoo at Grade A Tattoos with Allen Bracknell who is just AMAZING!!!! This lion is just badass and it was done in one 7.5 hour session. Everyone was helpful but Allen went above and beyond to make my first tattoo look amazing!!! Thanks again will be back when I am ready for another!
I don’t know where to begin with all of the stuff they screwed up. They had to reschedule me 4 times because “ The new girl got the schedule wrong” 4 times in a row. When I finally got done they sent me a text and had me come in at 8:30 at night. They made me pay before I got my tattoo which they screwed up monumentally. The face isn’t straight, there are lines missing, it’s smaller than what I paid for, and it’s not even the right color. Also I paid for full color and only got half of it colored. They also promised me a discount for how many times they had to reschedule me and still made me pay the exact same amount they quoted me for. I payed $400 for 45 minuets of work that looks horrible. Most unprofessional place I have ever been.
I went in for my birthday and got a decent sized tattoo, I did however have a budget and they were really great about helping me keep it within my proce range. My whole entourage got tattoos as walk ins and theyre artists were great. I highly suggest asking to buy saniderm for your tattoo. I had it on and after 7 days my tattoo was fully healed no scabs no nothing. The staff there is super nice to everyone. Its best to set up an apt because they have so mamy wall ins during the afternoon.
Isaac did an amazing job on my daughter’s tattoo for her 18th birthday gift. We had a problem with scheduling but they fixed it right away and did everything to make it right!!! She is totally happy with it.
I’ve been wanting a double nostril piercing for some time now. But due to COVID-19 they are not allowed to be done in my home state. So while I was visiting family in Indiana I decided to get it done here. I had a hard time getting through on the phone but Grade A was quick to reply to DM’s on Instagram. So I drove down to get it done. When it was my turn for the piercing, the piercer marked my nose. Upon looking at the placement, I wasn’t thrilled with it and asked if we could place the markings up higher as I felt they were too low. He pretty much just told me no. Wasn’t willing to listen to me or my opinion at all. Now I understand he is the professional and I am not, so I went along with it... Fast-forward a week and I still was not happy with where the piercing was placed. I sent my usual piercing shop pictures and they agreed that the placement wasn’t ideal. I ended up taking out the piercing. I’m so upset that I wasn’t listened to and that I spent A LOT of money for NOTHING. And now I’ll have to get it done all over again. Super disappointing.
Great shop! Joshua is a real pro. Hes patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Got 4 piercings in one go and am really happy with them. Come to here to get your piercings done right :)
Sharon did an amazing job! Good environment and staff, only complaint is they dont sell aftercare products, which is a first that Ive ever seen
Great artists, great, clean environment, had a great time there chatting with the employees. Stopped in while out of town and both wife and i got worked in and got great work done.thanks! We will be returning for more work, worth the 6 hr trip.
Good artists don’t mean anything if you cannot get them to complete their work. Here’s how it works: You pay IN FULL for your tattoo up front. If your work only takes one session you’re fine, but if it takes more than one you are in for a fight trying to get back in or trying to get a refund. They will schedule you for a follow up but the day of the appointment you will be cancelled (happened multiple times to me). Also, in speaking with other shops in Fort Wayne, I have been told that they cancel you to bring in a fresh client which means fresh cash flow. Meanwhile, those who have already paid are left out.Do yourself a favor and ask around town with other shops and you will find those who are willing to tell you this is happening here.#AlexisGreyShearABCNews, want a legitimate news story?
What a great place, Joe W. Was my artist and he was absolutely amazing walked me through every single bit of what he was doing, also very sterile! I’ll definitely be back for more!! 😊 thank you Joe W. I absolutely love my tattoo!!
I took my daughter in to have her cartilage done back in July. I dont remember who did it but he was awesome! Made her feel at ease. He was funny and answered all of our questions! I will definitely be going back!
I went in to get my septum pierced. my piercer was vince. he was so clean, professional, kind, & reassuring. i’ve had it for about 2 months now & it has healed beautifully so far. when i was laying on the table about to get it done, i started getting extremely anxious. i love piercings, but have issues with pain anticipation. however, through my shaking & crying, vince was still super patient & quick with the procedure. i’m sure it was probably annoying to have a client freaking out on the table, but he was understanding & made the experience as pleasant as possible for me. i plan on getting a double nostril & my belly button redone soon, & i wouldn’t trust anybody else to do it other than vincent!
Walked in the door and literally the first thing I see is a blonde girl leaning so far over the counter, I thought she may break her back trying to chat with everyone that worked there. It was ridiculous looking. At least she migrated to the area behind the counter. The work was fine, just a piercing. The shop was clean, and thats honestly the best thing I can say about the place.Definitely wont go back as staff was less than friendly.
Dustin Meier is a fantastic artist! Hes done multiple tattoos on my daughter that are phenomenal! Ive seen a lot of his other pieces and he does not disappoint!
Josh, who is the head of piercing, had numerous placks to show his experience, and stated that every year he goes to seminars to further his education in piercings. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable, and made sure you were comfortable and information every step of the appointment. I simply had my earlobes pierced, but he explained every step to make sure I felt ready. I would DEFINITELY go back there!!!!!!!!!
In November, Timmy (@doright_tattoos) started a sleeve for my mom. They did one session and were planning another session for some time in the near future. Timmy broke his hand and explained to my Mom that he would not be able to finish the sleeve for at least a few more months. He has since ignored every text, call, and DM leaving her with no explanation and an unfinished sleeve. She has reached out to other artists to see if they are willing to finish it but most are reluctant since most of it will not be their own work. Solid artist but if you are looking for the MINIMAL amount of professionalism, stay away from Grade A, especially Timmy!
