I LOVE this shop! Marquis did this tattoo tonight and it was a wonderful experience (: everyone there was so nice , marquis was patient , and kind .. he asked me what I wanted to watch on the tv .. the music there was on point , and overall it was a vibe .. 10/10 shop and if I could give more stars I would !!

We had a wonderful experience. Ashley did a memorial tattoo for me and it is beautiful. So detailed and colorful.Rachel did Rapunzel sun tattoo and a nose piercing on my granddaughter. She hasn’t stop smiling yet.Great place and wonderful work. We live in Oklahoma but Darkside of Texas Tattoo will be a regular stop when we go to Fort Worth.❤️

Atmosphere in this amazing shop is like nothing Ive been to before. The artists are not only top notch but extremely professional with how they handle customers. This is my second time being tattooed at this shop and as long as Im in Texas this is now my home shop!! If you want a unique experience getting a tattoo or piercing with a shop that has great themes and design throughout this is the place!! Rachel is an absolutely amazing person and Tattoo artist!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. The owner and the other staff were very friendly and welcoming. Marquis did my tattoo. His attention to detail with the lettering was amazing. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be coming back.

I walked in with a picture I found online and Ashleigh had me send it to her phone, she drew it up and did an AMAZING job! Placement was perfect and it was an exact replica of the pic I sent her! She did an awesome job on my delicate looking rose tattoo on my hand! I will DEFINITELY only go to her for every next tattoo I get! She was also reasonable on price! Cant beat it anywhere in fort worth.

Super chill spot, very clean and organized. Friendly staff, clean restrooms. Great artists! I loved working with Rachel and will continue to have her do my tats. I will update once finished I had to take a break after 4 and half hours of ink therapy 🙃

Very friendly and professional! Marquis is in the process of doing my arm sleeve as well as my gf’s chest piece! Couldn’t be more happy with his work! First I cannot share a photo because it is still all juicy underneath the second skin. (It’s not healed but it’s almost done/completed) However, I have been in a few shops and this experience was unique. Rachel (owner) was different. Rachel is amazing. I am 64 and have a problem with my skin tearing. She was so comforting and patient in me having to change the placement of my tattoo. Her work is outstanding and she is a pleasure to be around. Shop is clean and sanitary. I will be going back again. Thanks Rachel 😊

DO NOT GO HERE!! The owner totally ruined my entire stomach tattoo. Im surprised she is still in business. She couldnt figure out a simple stencil and finally I told her one that would work and she just freehanded this which was absolutely nothing like the stencil. There was supposed to be a thin black outline of around the words (negative lettering) and she blacked out damn near my entire stomach and didnt even do a good job! This is the biggest regret of my entire life and Im so self conscious about taking my shirt off anywhere. I highly reccomend you NEVER GO TO THIS SHOP!Edit: this picture is over 2 years after she ruined my stomach.

I went in today with my friend to see Anthony, love his work! He did 4 of my tattoos today and 2 of my friends at a reasonable price and they came out amazing 😻 will be going back for sure. the shop is always such good vibes. 💓 100% recommend !

Had a deposit and appointment and was still left waiting for over 40 mins. I was told one price over the phone just for Rachel to change her mind and tell me it was an “estimate” knowing it’s what she told me. At least she gave me my deposit back. As I was walking out the shop she said “good luck trying to find someone who’ll do the tattoo for cheaper”. Shoutout to my new artist for doing the tattoo for me for the price we initially knew the tattoo was worth. He did an amazing job.

Very good work, great artist, and they take great care of you

I went in during a bad rainstorm, so I was the only customer in the shop. The artists were all super friendly and made it feel like we just a bunch of girls kicking back. Ariel was my artist, and she is GREAT!! My tattoo was only simple lines, but her portfolio definitely speaks for itself. 10/10 would recommend. Also, I really dig the all female studio vibe.

Anthony Tunzi has taken care of my ink and piercing needs for years now. I can always count on him for quality work at a great price. My tattoos are all very well thought out and very colorful. He is precise and extremely sanitary. 18 piercings and 17 out my 20 tattoos are from him. I highly recommend him for any custom tattoos or body piercings!

Amazing group of people, all friendly and fun to banter with! The work Jaden did on me looks amazing! I was extremely satisfied with how she took my rough ideas and turned it into exactly what I wanted! Her coworkers called her Jaden the gentle and I agree with them. She has a very steady hand and the work is beautiful!

Was told 1 price and got there and it was another price.Racheal barely even spoke to us and We had a appt with a deposit. Racheal addressed us about 20 minutes or so after the appt was supposed to start.Instead, she was small talking to another lady to get her a appt and not really acknowledging us. 1 star for giving my daughter her deposit money back.Edit: And I did find a good artist same day, that is doing the tattoo for 400.00 as was discussed.Since a comment was made as I walked out stating, good luck finding a better price. I did.And for context theres another review exactly almost to my experience. Same context,everything. Shes unprofessional & probably has done this to a few clients.

Absolutely love it here! Great community of artists especially Jaden and Rachel. Jaden perfected my tattoo the exact way I asked and I’m in love! Rachel pierced my nose and made me feel comfortable and safe going through everything. Highly recommend!

Got my very first tattoo by Jaden! She helped me by designing and coming up with new ideas and was very patient with me and worked with what she got! Tattoo was super impressive and a lost for words! She was fast and efficient but made sure I was comfortable and could take breaks if needed! No awkwardness whatsoever and felt like I fit right in and it was okay to cry as much as I did 😂. My husband and I have gone to a different tattoo shop in a different city every year for our anniversary for years now. This was the Best experience. Roger was Amazing. I came with just an idea of what I wanted and he drew up the most awesome tattoo. He not only gave me exactly what I invisioned but even touched up some old tattoos I had on that same arm so that it all looked incredible. Great atmosphere, great people, great tattoo.

Went in today for their Friday the 13th flash and had a great experience! The shop has some really cool deco in the lobby area and all the people working were pleasant and had good attitudes the whole time I was there. Also, it was fri 13 so the wait was 3ish hours for me but that’s honestly fast for a flash day! I expected to wait but I was pleasantly surprised with how efficiently they moved! Plus they had a huge selection of flash and I really love the one i got!I’ll definitely be coming back for some bigger pieces!

Great hole on the wall type tattoo shop. You can tell the owner takes a ton of pride in her place. It’s very eclectic and vintage. All of the tattoo artists are very warm and kind, which I feel like you don’t find much at tattoo shops. Jaden was the artist that did my tattoo. I found her on IG and she was very professional from the first email to the final tattoo. They only take cash and their ATM only lets you get $400 so plan ahead if you are getting a more expensive tattoo. Great place. Will come back!

Zoë is a fantastic artist 😊 I got a tattoo this Saturday for the event that was running and I am very happy with how my tattoo turned out. The lines are very clear and the tattoo is healing well, and all of the people who work there are very friendly. I will absolutely be returning ☺

I got my first piece of English script work done by James and its exactly what I asked for. He was friendly, helpful and courteous. Everyone there was cool (which often isnt the case in a tattoo shop). Theyre easy to spot on 28th street and as far as some clean fine line black lettering goes i definitely recommend and Ill be back for more.

First of all, really amazing and nice women. Second, man oh man can Jaden tattoo! She’s only 21 and did the most amazing piece on my arm, she is gonna go far! Very genuine & nice people Definitely will be coming back for all of my future tattoos!!!!

I came in yesterday with a faded, not finished, “basement” tattoo and Rachel pretty much did magic. She transformed my tattoo to a work of art. I moved to Texas last year and have not found a tattoo shop that I feel comfortable going to until here. I will only be going to Rachel now! :) thank you for everything!!

What a WONDERFUL shop! My husband and I were in line for well over 2 hours at another shop for our Friday the 13th pieces where we along with 15-20 others were told to leave because they were tired. On our way home we saw Dark Side of Texas blinking open sign so we stopped in. Without hesitation they sat us in a chair and took care of us. Shop was clean! Staff is kind and friendly. They actually have a conversation with you and are CLEARLY in this profession for more than just the money! Thank you so much guys for taking care of us! We WILL be back!

Came in and paid A LOT of money to have a sleeve finished. Artist agreed to what I wanted, then took the entire time re-working the half of the sleeve that was already done, not even starting the lower half. Refused to work with me in any way on getting what I had wanted done. If someones not happy with your work, you should at least TRY to find some way to where both parties are satisfied. Not this place!! I was told, basically, Tough s**T!Ive been to a lot of tattoo shops and few artists, but this was by far my WORST experience.

Got a little Friday the 13th piece. It healed nicely and looks great. I cant remember her name, but she had black long hair and horn implants in her forehead. She was very attentive and not heavy handed.

Aaron did my tattoo & he did an amazing job. Very impressed with him. Made the process very easy & comfortable. Very happy, will definitely be back.
