My husband and I have been going to Jason @ Royal 1 Tattoos for years now. There is not another place we would trust for ourselves, family, and friends. To date several of our family and friends now only go here, and have also referred people they know.Thank you Jason for always taking care of us, and to Royal 1! Absolutely astounding work these guys do!! The level of patience, and professionalism is unmatched. Don’t go to some sketchy tattoo shop to get a piece of work done on your body that you will regret. Go here where there will see your vision and help accomplish it.I had the privilege of working with Taylor, who was very helpful and kind throughout the whole process. He was able to be efficient, making the process less stressful, and he is a true artist. I plan on getting anymore tattoos at this place. The location and environment exceeds any other tattoo and piercing shop!

Its the hidden Tattoo/piercing shops that have the most Gems.We (hubs) get our tattoos done (collectively we have over 10 ) by Jason Cyphers. He does GREAT everytime and heals perfectly. Good, clean, solid tattoos, hes fast and gets it done. Hes also funny so it helps pass the time.Taylor is also great. I walked in just for a second opinon from a professional stand point. He was honest, direct, knowledgeable and Super helpful. Also does dope tattoos.Got an industrial piercing by Isaac. It was quick, straight, effortless. So easy i forgot I got it done.Clean shop, great artists, fun conversations, good music.

Taylor has been doing my tattoos for about 5 years now! He’s very friendly, personable, and talented! I’m planning on getting a full sleeve from him at the least. People often compliment my tattoos he’s done and I always recommend him! The shop is clean and everyone is welcoming.

I’ve gone back to Royal 1 to see Taylor Popkins (partymullet on instagram) for my last 3 tattoos. He is extremely professional, kind and clean (swag & hygiene). He has always seen my vision of my tattoos and delivered every single time. All of these tattoos have deep meaning for me and I trusted him to bring it to life. The shop itself is very open, clean and quiet. I have always felt very comfortable and safe coming here.

I have been going to Isaac for 3 years now & he has done 8 out of 17 of my ear piercings. I went to Ink817 for my flat & tragus and had problems so I went back to isaac to have them fixed and haven’t had any problems since! Also have never had any problems with the other 8 he’s done!He is the only piercer I recommend! 10/10

Jason is seriously AMAZING! My favorite tattoo yet! My family and I have been waiting years to get our tattoos together and it was well worth the wait. Not only did he do a fantastic job, he was personable, accommodating, respectful, and fair priced. When either of us had anything we were unsure of, he used his artistic ability to create a beautiful design. Will definitely be going back again (and again…and again)My daughter’s both had piercings done with Isaac and he did a phenomenal job with both! My youngest had a lip piercing that just wouldn’t heal the first time. This time it looks like she’s always had it with no complications. Neither complained of any pain and he was very professional.

Taylor was the guy who did my first tattoo ever and it was an awesome experience. Explained everything in detail and is an excellent artist. Will be definitely going back. The whole shop is definitely a vibe. I’ve gotten all my piercings there as well and the piercer there is very knowledgeable as well.

I hadnt gotten a tattoo in about 12 years and really needed my back piece reworked/finished. I was referred to Royal 1 and looked up on Instagram and decided to book with Taylor. I have now gotten my back piece complete along with 4 additional tattoos since, and my husband decided to start his sleeve piece shortly after I started as well. Shop is always a great environment and Taylor is always quick to respond when booking and work with you to bring to life exactly what you were wanting, along with great and fair pricing. Will recommend this place all day long.

I’ve only had my work done by Taylor, and am so glad I did. I’m bad with words and describing things, but each time he’s made what I’m looking for come to life. Love his style and his work. Great at communicating the person I know recommend to any of my friends looking for a tattoo artist.

The only place I trust getting pierced! Isaac helped my nerves when I went in for my first “bold” piercing and can’t go anywhere else! Can only trust his expertise in any future piercings. He even helped fix old piercings that were messed up. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

Found royal 1 when I first moved to Texas 3 years ago been going there since. Hue has been my tattoo artist at this shop he does amazing work chill dude and easy to talk to. Great atmosphere great artist top notch tattoo shop would recommend to anyone. ✌️

Taylor did my first tattoo when I was 18 and is still doing all of my tattoos now at the age of 25! He’s friendly and very good at what he does. Cannot recommend him enough!

I’ve been going to Issac for 3 years and will not be going anywhere else! I got my daith at ink 817 and it was pierced to deep! He was very helpful in healing my daith, and is very knowledgeable in his craft. 10/10 recommend Issac for piercings.Just got my double nostrils and it’s perfect!

Update: I have gotten 3 more tattoos from Taylor since my original review. They have all healed with no complications, and I love them all. It’s always a great experience stopping by to get a tattoo with Taylor.Original review 8 months ago- I got my first tattoo here a week ago. A friend recommended me Royal 1 a couple of years ago. I’ve been following a couple of the artists on Instagram for a few years as well as some other local artists. I really liked Taylor’s black and grey work. I emailed him the general gist of what I wanted. He put a piece together that I love.Taylor was very friendly. He walked me through the whole process. He always told me what to expect as far as discomfort goes. I had a two hour appointment with him and I’m amazed at how much he was able to do (good quality work) in that time. The entire experience was awesome for me. Taylor was awesome, the shop experience/ atmosphere was awesome, and most importantly I am very happy with my tattoo. I was given clear after care procedures, and I have had no complications a week later. When I want more work done I plan to go back to Taylor.

I’ve frequented this shop for years! Taylor is my usual artist but there are so many talented artists like Daniel, Ryan & Jason, and the piercer is very knowledgeable as well! All around great spot!

Great customer service. My gf wanted to get her nose pierced and I ended up with a new hand tattoo. Isaac the piercer was very friendly and knows what he doing. Highly recommend this place for tattoos and piercings.

I scheduled my appointment a month prior through Daniel Gerbiss contact Victoria. She was prompt in her response and made scheduling an appointment very easy. I know that scheduling two tattoos at one time is not a tattoo artists preferred path, but both Daniel and Victoria were very accommodating in allowing me to set up for two in one go.From entering the shop, it was clean and very open which honestly made talking with the staff very approachable. Daniel took a small outline of the borders for my previous tattoos (done by another artist) as to better fit the designs in said spots. After taking the time to draw them up, we were ready to go.Daniel took his time with placement, pulled clean lines, shaded, and colored! All while making sure I was comfortable.Overall, I was incredible pleased with how both tattoos came out! I will be coming back to Daniel for more in the future!Key take aways: Approachable/Accommodating/Well-priced

Great shop with excellent artist. Went in to get a couple of tattoos and a piercing. I had a brief consultation with Taylor who worked up a couple of great designs for me. While waiting, Andrew was able to get both myself and my wife pierced. All around a great experience and will definitely use then again!Update: Went by on a whim to get my wifes Ireland tattoo touched up due to it not healing well from our original shop in Ireland. We saw Ryan and he was able to do the touch up promptly, while I was waiting I decided to get a new design to which Ryan drew up quickly and got me in as well. He was very polite and his work is great!

It’s my favorite tattoo shop and it feels like home to me the workers there are professional in ever aspect also they do more than just tattoos they even do piercings which I also got done and it was smooth and easy people should most definitely visit it would be worth it.

I seriously am not kidding when I say ive felt more at ease here than any other pericing/tattoo shop Ive been in. Everyone is very chill and very eager to help even if what im asking about isnt their specialty. I will litterally go nowhere else for a pericing and am leaning toward getting some ink here in the future with how wonderful of designs Ive seen thus far.

The facility is very clean the staff is very kind and informative with how to care for your piercings and are even willing to teach you after the healing process is complete to change out the jewelry. I got spider bites done by Isaac here over the weekend and he was super nice and chill about everything! No judgement for me bringing a comfort plush, wasn’t rushing me to get up and go when we finished. Also was completely chill about me coming back in a few days later because I needed longer bars due to the swelling, didn’t charge anything extra for me coming by. Definitely reccomend!

Dont know if everyone went to the same shop I did. I was treated standoffishly, and then basically put on the back burner because I had a question about a design change. I had a piece done there in 2013 or so, and wanted to make them my go-to shop, but when the owner was the one being unprofessional, I decided it wasnt worth it. He was even the one who did my piece before he retired. Aint gonna be back though, not worth the bad attitude from the owner. 👍Edit: wasnt a big piece, would have known that if you actually read the message I sent. Just goes to show, this shops owner, or whoever is in charge of the pages, doesnt read your messages. They just want brainless compliance. If I could drop this to zero stars for the sarcastic response, I would. First-hand example on how not to run a business, yall.

I got tattooed by Taylor. He is by far the nicest tattoo artist I have ever met. He made my first experience very comforting. I was very nervouse walking in at first but he made sure I was comfortable and happy with the drawing, stencil and placement of my tattoo. He was willing to adjust it a few times until I was happy with it. He explained his whole way through and talked me through the whole time. He gave me thorough instructions on after care and made it very simple for me. His attitude is amazing and welcoming. The more I look at my tattoo, the more I love it. I highly recommend having him as your next tattoo artist. If I ever get another tattoo, I would definitely want it to be from him. 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!

Came in as a walk in recently and got paired with JT and he absolutely killed it. So much so, that Ive been back two more times and got more work done by him. I absolutely love Royal 1 Tattoo and will definitely be back. Issac pierced my helix quick and painless (as painless as a piercing can be). Then my friends & I got a tattoo from Ryan, and they all came out perfectly! He understood exactly what I wanted from a bad drawing. (And he did a quick fix of one of my older tattoo) Not to mention these guys are funny and made it such a great time. Thank yall again!! Ill see yall the next time I visit Texas!

I got 3 different ear piercings done at the same time by Isaac. It was by far the best experience I’ve ever had getting pierced. Isaac was very professional, made me feel super comfortable, and the piercings themselves were practically painless. Definitely going back to this shop to see Isaac for future piercings. I have multiple tattoos, and I have been to multiple places to find the right artist. In February of this year I decided to get started on my sleeve on my left arm. After hours of research and after reading countless of reviews just like this one I had my mind set on Royal 1. So I made a appointment with Taylor and right away he got me in. The tattoo I got that night took about three hours. The whole time Taylor made sure I was comfortable, and was great at keeping a conversation, even making some jokes along the way. Since that tattoo, I then have more compliments on that tattoo than I can count. So this past week I made another appointment with him to continue working on my sleeve. Again, Taylor did not disappoint. He is a very intelligent man, with a great eye for art. He knows what he is doing and he kills his work 10/10 % of the time. I cant wait until my full sleeve is done, and I couldnt be happier that I found a tattoo artist that I trust and am 100% comfortable with. I will always continue to get my ink done by him!! So I hope this review helps someone who is looking an amazing artist.

I had a fantastic experience yesterday. I went in the early afternoon, Taylor immediately greeted me. I was only planning to get a consult, but he told me he could have it drawn up and ready to go in 20-30 minutes with just a few inspiration pics as his guide. It turned out even better than I could’ve imagined, the price was great. I am extremely happy with how it turned out.

I have gotten multiple piercings here since moving to Fort Worth a few years ago. Aaron is fantastic especially when I come in undecided of what I want. He is always honest and tells me what will look good with my ear shape and what won’t. You can tell he loves his job and my friends and I always leave happy and confident in ourselves. I’ve never had any issues with any of my piercings from here but have with other places. You can definitely rely on Aaron and Royal 1!

Isaac was amazing! Very nice. He knows what he is going. I cant say enough about him. I read other reviews before going for my piercing and every positive thing was so true. I got my tattoo there and loved it. I would highly recommend going there for anything.

Aaron did my dermal and he was AWESOME! Not only is he knowledgeable and professional, taking time to answer all my questions without making me feel dumb for not knowing much since this was my first piercing. He also took time to listen to my concerns, explain the process so I would know what to expect, which put me in a comfortable state of mind. His eye for accuracy is spot on, his cleanliness during prep and procedure is very thorough, which is extremely important! His very friendly, funny, and easy going personality was a big plus for me, making my session totally enjoyable. I would recommend Aaron to all my friends without hesitation!!!

The atmosphere here is great! every one is always super friendly i came in as a walk in a few days ago I got in with Taylor, he did a fantastic job and gave me a beautiful tattoo that was more then I could have asked for its like he knew exactly what I wanted I will definitely be back! Isaac is wonderful. He was very kind and professional. I was nervous about getting a piercing and he explained every step so that I knew what was happening as he was doing it. I got a second nose piercing in front of one that I already had, and it is lined up perfectly. I am so happy with it!

I can say this was one of my best piercing experiences. I was very nervous ( and very over dramatic lol ) but John was awesome! He was very nice, gave me amazing service, and most importantly he was extremely professional. His work area was clean too! After I got done he gave me the exact information I needed to have in order to make the healing process better. He also allowed me to take as much time as I needed to calm down before I walked out. The other men there were nice too! *most shops I go to have rude people there* so I will definitely recommend Royal 1tattoos to anyone who wants a piercing. Other shops will need to step up for sure!

Awesome place for custom ink. I bring in my own patterns and they will fix you right up. Good prices and its easy to get your artist to do it right the first time. Personally, I recommend Ryan - that man is on it. He can do the tiniest detailing and its good! Update: I came in with another custom tattoo pic and.. as always, Ryan hooked me up! Hebrew vowels are very tiny. No problem here though. Another fine job by Ryan. My 5-Star review rating stays the same..

Isaac V. was wonderful with getting our two young girls ears pierced. He was patient, calm, and confident. Ive used him for piercings before and I recommend him to everyone, especially for kids!

Aaron is an amazing piercer! He was friendly and did the job very well. All the equipment was clean before use and everything ran smoothly. He did a better job on my rook piercing than the guy I saw before! If I need another piercing I know Ill be back!

I walked in here on a Monday afternoon because I had an infected snug piercing that was done in another shop. Aaron was great about it, made it as painless as he possibly could have to fix it, made jokes through the whole thing to put me at ease. Highly recommend this place, the shop is super clean and the people are super friendly. Aaron is amazing and I will only be going to him from now on for any other piercings.

Taylor was amazing! Quick with beautiful clean lines. Place was clean and open. Saw another girl getting her first tattoo, and the guy tattooing her was really nice to her and was talking her through it. No condescension from the workers at all. Ill keep going here.

I came here with my sister and friend to get piercings. I got both sides of my nose pierced and my sister got her ear done. And Issac was the one that pierced us. He was real funny and truly made our experience comfortable knowing that we came in nervous and excited at the same time. He made sure that we were fully satisfied for how everything was being done. My friend and I both got pierced by Aaron and he did an awesome job ! Hes great super cool dude and makes you feel comfortable with your new piercing. If I ever have questions about it he was always quick to reply to ensure the heeling process went smoothly. I totally recommend asking for him.

I got my eyebrow and second nostril in the same sitting. 💗 10/10.Edit: was having some swelling problems with my eyebrow piercing so Isaac swapped the jewelry to a longer barbell for me, free of charge. I have been to Royal 1 twice for 2 different tattoos, both times with Ryan Derby. The shop is clean and very professional. Ryan was on time and ready when I arrived. Ryan is super mellow and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

Went in for an Industrial Piercing. Was immediately greeted. I personally am an introvert so it takes a lot for me to get talkative so I liked that the guy that did my piercing was straight to the point, he was honest, and still cracked a few jokes and didn’t make the experience awkward at all. The whole experience was like 10 minutes. Im super happy with my piercing and if I get any more, I’ll definitely be coming to Royal 1 to get them done! These guys know what they are doing and if they tell you how to take care of your piercings/tattoos LISTEN TO THEM.

They want the quick easy work that they massively upcharge for. I asked about having a memorial piece from my sisters passing filled in with color and they were like ok. Said they had 3 people getting little tattoos and then proceeded to take every other walk in that wanted small quick easy tattoos ahead of me. These guys will price you out like they are ink masters but they arent. Their work is not what Id spend that kind of money on.

I’ve been here twice. Once was years ago for a Friday the 13th tattoo lol. I went again last night and had a great experience. Taylor was my artist and I can say he’s super friendly, gentle and makes you comfortable! He did an amazing job with the little detail that did come with my tattoo.I had been thinking of a new tattoo for months and I am glad I walked into royal tattoos and had a great tattoo artist! Such a great feel at this place with an open and light atmosphere! Jay Tee is amazing and has been great to work with over the last few months, and I recommend him to everyone I know! I still have a lot of work I want to complete on my piece, and he is a pro when it comes to melding my ideas with his own artistic style. My husband and I did a lot of research when choosing the tattoo parlor we would visit for our forearm tattoos. When out and about around town, if we saw someone who had tattoos that we liked, we asked where they got them from. SEVERAL times people responded with Royal 1 on Camp Bowie. So, we internet stalked them and looked at tons of reviews and galleries and knew we would be comfortable with any of the artists there. However, we got really lucky with Ryan being available to help us as walk-ins.My design was already made by another local hand-lettering artist, so it was an easy job of sizing it and just laying it down. Ryan does really great line work, so the quote I had put on my forearm was very clean and looked exactly like the artwork. My husband had a quote in mind but no design. He knew he wanted a tattoo artist to come up with something for him, something in the traditional Americana style. Ryan worked on a design while we went to dinner and when we returned, the draft he showed us was just perfect. He laid it down in just less than 2 hours. Ryan is a very chill, soft spoken man with a great story and history in his field. We felt very comfortable and had some great conversations with him. The shop, in general, is comfortable, well lit, and had a diverse selection of music playing. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the area and we will certainly be back if we decide to go under the needle again anytime soon. Thanks, Ryan!

Every single time that I have gone in there i have worked with Taylor he has always been very professional He takes pride in his work station very clean and precise and is always chill i recommend him to anyone i meet that wants a tattoo he is only person i will let do my tattoos my wife and i have been in few times to get tattoos he is coolest dude there is. if you ever have a bad experience with him im sure he wasnt the problem.

I went in very quickly for a few cartledge piercings today, I was helped promptly. The staff was all super friendly and helpful, and the piercings were so quick and flawlessly done I absolutely felt nothing. The artist that took care of me was very calm natured and kind. Id absolutely go back for anything else I ever get done and recommend it to everyone! Also the cleanest shop Ive ever been in. =)

Was visiting some friends in Fort Worth and decided to get a piercing. We went to Royal 1 Tattoos where we met Aaron. He was very professional and helpful. He offered great advice as far as my choice of jewelry. Everything was nice and clean. This guy really knows his stuff and he is passionate about his work. I would 100% recommend Aaron to anyone wanting piercings. Anywhere.

Incredibly rude service from one of the guys who work there. Im not sure who he is but he yelled at me upon my asking questions bc one of their piercers (whom has since been fired) pierced my helix through the fold last year & it wont heal. He told me I had no other choice but to take it out & have it re-done. I asked if he could accommodate some sort of discount given that info & proceeded to yell at me & jerked away the earrings I was looking at. I was looking at getting another piercing & tattoo. Ill never return here & will spread the word about this place & Ive since taken my business elsewhere. Ive never felt such humiliation from a place where I gave business & was returning to do so again. Be aware.

I have wanted a nose piercing for years and finally decided to do it. I chose Royal One because their reviews were great, and I was not disappointed. Aaron is the only employee who does piercings, and he is proficient at his job. I only had to wait a few minutes to go to the back to get my piercing. The piercing itself took about 5 minutes. All in all, I was in the building for 15 minutes total. It cost $30. I did not get a choice of jewelry and he chose the placement on my nose, which ended up being exactly what I wanted. Aaron joked with me and made me comfortable throughout the whole process. I have a low pain tolerance, and the nose piercing wasnt too bad. It hurt for the first minute while he was getting the jewelry in. Its been about 35 minutes now since I got my piercing and its only aching very slightly. Aaron wore gloves while piercing. He cleaned my nose prior to the piercing and the needle used came from a sealed package. The place is clean and Aaron gave me specific instructions on how to clean my piercing. Im very happy and if I choose to get another piercing, I will be coming back to Royal One!

Isaac is the best! Got my septum done a few months back at another shop in FTW, needless to say I took it out a month later. Isaac fixed me up and I am absolutely in love with my piercing. Super personable and clean, makes the entire experience so comfortable for the client, and super helpful when it comes to aftercare and any other questions you might have. Truly a hidden gem in the piercing world of DFW. 🤍

Aaron gets you in and out when doing piercings. Hes very quick and sanitary. Im usually super nervous when getting a piercing but he made me laugh enough to make me more comfortable. They all are so friendly honestly. I would definitely go back to get more & even a tattoo next time!

I brought my daughter to Royal 1 for a nose piercing with Isaac after reading all of the positive reviews and he exceeded my expectations. He was very patient, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. My daughter felt completely comfortable and is beyond satisfied with her piercing. If anyone is looking for a piercing, I would highly recommend Isaac at Royal 1.

Went in and got a butterfly done by a guy named Hue (I believe) for my 19th birthday. I called ahead to see if they could fit me in, they told me to come on down. When I showed him a picture of what I wanted he rolled his eyes and went to get the stencil done. He slammed it down on the counter for me to look at, I told him it looked kinda small and asked if he could go a little bigger. He rolled his eyes at me AGAIN and snatched the stencil off the counter and walked off frustrated. I felt uncomfortable and didn’t even want to get it done anymore. But my friend who came with me told me it would be fine and he might just be having a bad day. So I went ahead and got it anyways. $250 later and a horrible tattoo. After a little over 3 months of healing I called back to get it fixed because I wasn’t sure if another artist would work on top of someone else’s work. They asked me basic questions about if the scab is gone yet and if I’ve been keeping it clean. I told them the scab is off and it’s completely smooth, but they told me they won’t do it because 3ish months isn’t long enough to be healed. I was so aggravated. I decided to call another shop right up the street who is a LOT better to see if they were open to fix it. Luckily someone at the other shop fixed the mess that Royal 1 did and even added some flowers. They told me it healed nicely so I didn’t have to wait any longer to have it worked on. All of the artist at the shop that fixed it for me pointed out all of the mistakes that Royal 1 did. Keep in mind it’s a big tattoo that takes up my thigh. Even friends were pointing out how bad it was before I got it fixed. After being fixed I absolutely love it and have had no issues with it. But the tattoo Royal 1 did was awful and the artists are just straight up rude. I will say that the piercer is very sweet when I got my nose done there, but that’s about it. They honestly deserve 0 stars and if I could I would, but the piercer is the only redeeming thing I guess.

I have gotten all of my ink there for over 12 years and COUNTLESS hours of tattooing!!! My current artist the last few years has been JT ame is a true master at piecing my sleeve’s together, but all the artist there are great. I frequently get complimented on my ink by random people when I am out and about. If you want great, professional work, this is the place. Tattoos take a lot of time and a lot of patience. I have always liked that they will tell you what you NEED to hear, not necessarily what you want to hear.

Royal 1 is amazing. I got my first tattoo there, and I could not be happier. The place is big, bright, and clean; and all the artist were so incredibly nice and professional. Ryan, who did my tattoo, gave me a discount because it was my 21st birthday, and he let 4 of my friends come back with me instead of just the allowed 1, like I said, so nice. The only things I would say is be prepared to wait awhile. It is basically first come, first serve. I waited an hour and a half, and was not allowed to leave, because I would lose my spot in line. HOWEVER, the wait was completely worth it because my tattoo looks phenomenal! Thanks Ryan, and Royal 1.

Called and got an amazing quote, asked if the time online for closing was correct at 12. The guy assured me yes. Arrived at 9:45 and all the artist had there back packs on ready to leave. Showed the gentleman a picture of what my wife wanted, just a simple heart said it would take too much time and they normally leave at 10. You guys should probably change your hours of operation online.Left this place and got to bonehead at 10:30. We were in and out by 11. Go to bonehead.

This place is fantastic. Taylor is an amazing artist and person. I came in to get a small memorial tattoo a few hours after my 16 year old cat died. I was very upset and in a terrible place. He was so understanding. By the time I left I felt much better and was even laughing. Now I have a wonderful reminder of my baby. I will definitely be back for any future work I decide to get!

Just had my first tattoo done at this place and my mom had one of her old tattoos covered up and redone completely. Both were done by Ryan who is very good. He knew it was my first tat but didnt sugarcoat anything which I definitely appreciate. Everyone there is very nice and friendly and their work is great. I came in about a month ago for a piercing...my first (other than my ears) and Aaron greeted me upon arrival. He was very confident with what he was doing. He got set up and then conducted the piercing. He was very professional and very nice and personable!! Me being new to this piercing, had a minor concern about it and decided to call Aaron and he talked me through what was happening and assured me if it didnt correct itself to come back in and he would take care of me...well I went back and he took care of me and was very sweet about it. Im kind of like a kid because that is new to me so I actually went back twice with more questions and Aaron was very patient and still very professional...you cant ask for better than that!! I totally recommend him for you first timers...he is awesome!!

Got my first tattoo here. Amazing place and artist. Extremely clean. I would recommend either Fly are Pearson both were patient and very good artist. (Had a busy that got his first with Pearson). I forgot the piercing guy that was there but he was awesome and very friendly to the customers!!! Best place in Fort Worth and Dallas!!

Aaron (piercedbytoastface) was amazing! Husband got his bellybutton pierced and I got a dermal on my chest and an industrial in my right ear. He did a great job. Super fast, no pain. My dermal wasn’t painful at all. I can’t even feel the dermal. My husband says it was so easy he would get another one. I will be coming back to Aaron for another piercing.

Issac was really great. He made my experience quick, easy, and less psinful. He offered aftercare advise and even offered to change my jewelry for free when I am ready. I really recommend anyone looking for a piercing to go check him out at Royal 1 Tattoos.

The best tattooing experience I have ever had! I came in for a cover up of an old tattoo that looked pretty bad. Wasnt even sure if anything could be done with it. I consulted with Troy about it. All I did was show him a pic on my phone to give him an idea of what I wanted. He traced the existing tattoo and made me an appointment for the next day. When I came back, he had designed the most beautiful artwork and it was as if he had read my mind. He took a lot of time to make sure it was absolutely perfect. The end result is amazing! You would never know that its a cover up. I highly recommend Royal 1. This is where I will come for my next tattoo. Its truly art!

So.. Ive heard of many perspective clients bullshitting the artists.. but Ive never heard of an artist bullshitting a client. I told Justin Smith a week ago that I liked his work and that I wanted a piece done. I work 60+ hours a week and I dont have time to be bullshitted.I showed him the ideas I had and he says okay just send me those in a text and we can get you in Saturday.So I try to text call, no response. I even tried to go talk to him thinking maybe I had punched in his number wrong.When I finally get in touch with the guy at the shop, expecting my tattoo for tomorrow he tells me oh I really dont want to add on to anyone elses workWhy couldnt you have said this from the jump and not wasted my time. I even offered a deposit which he said wouldnt be an issue at all.Me and my wife and family have gotten tatted at Royal 1. I recommend people to go there all the time. Weve spent thousands on tattoos at this shop, and now I can say for this i will not be returning. He could have grew a set of balls and said that he didnt want to do it. Total waste of my time and unprofessional as f***.Used to love this place. Got tatted by multiple artists at this shop and loved the results, but Im not recommending anyone to this place again, nor will I set foot and spend another red cent in this place.

I used to get all my work done there, unfortunately my artist left.. but I still go there to get piercings done. And I have to say, Aaron has to be the best Ive ever met. He is extremely kind and calm. Everytime I get anxious about getting it done or am not taking it well, he takes the time to make sure youre okay and calms you down alot. He has steady hands and does it quick without flaw. With him as your piercer, you wont feel a thing! I highly recommend!

On a whim, my husband and I decided to get tattoos; we had very little time to research places in the area. Being as this was his first time (my seventh) I wanted to make sure we were in good hands and didnt end up like my first time experience (terrible).Everyone was very friendly, talented, and took the time to listen to exactly what/where you wanted your tattoo. Best quality, they didnt act like it was just job and you were another faceless person getting a design on your body. We both had Derek as our artist and he was AMAZING. So pleased with both of our tattoos, easily one of the best pieces Ive had done.I will happily recommend this location to anyone of my friends and family members.

This is the only place I trust to pierce me! I came in two months ago to get my daiths pierced- I have struggled with migraines for years and was desperate for relief. I was so nervous, and Isaac was the best person I could have asked for. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process, and answered all of my questions. He talked to me about his experience with this particular type of piercing so I would feel confident in him, and I wouldnt go to anyone else now. I had instant relief and have not had a migraine since! Highly recommend Isaac and the team at Royal 1!

Had a great experience with my young daughter getting her ears pierced. Staff was super calm and professional. She was very well attended to and I know she felt special. I would beyond recommend that you go here with your young girls to get their ears pierced, and not the mall/etc.

Okay, so lets clear up all this...Ive been a customer of Royal 1 for over a year now, and their work is by far the best in town. My boyfriend has been going to them for over 6 years (Troy and Hannah) Ive been tattooed by Bill Barrett and Taylor Dixon. Taylor did my first tattoo, and he is very light handed. It was a small sparrow on my back. I now have gotten 4 additional tattoos from him since then. All beautiful!!! His work is outstanding, and everyone always tells me how beautiful they are. He is very dedicated! Bill has done two pieces on me, which I receive daily compliments on. My Frankenstein portrait on my calf has amazing detail and he finished the whole tattoo (which is huge) in only 3 hours. He really is an amazing artist. Royal 1 has a new artist Justin and his work seems amazing too, he came from Elite. Anyways, if you need a tattoo, GO HERE!!!! I recommend to all my friends. Cleanest, fairest, and best work in town!They will work with you to get your idea onto paper than onto your body lol!

Wonderful!! Took my almost 13 year old daughter here to get a Helix piercing! Isaac was amazing!!! Very patient with my daughter since she was a little nervous! Will totally go again for anything piercing related in the future!!! He was great with my Daith piercing as well!!!

I loved the shop when Andrew McElveney was your piercing specialist. Andrew brought class, intellect, personality and care to Royal. He is a true professional. You lost a great one!Im curious why his work is still advertised on your site when it is common knowledge that he was not treated with high regard by his co-workers there. His bio is also still on your site as well which, incidentally, raves about his talent.Luckily, Ive finally found him at Fort Worth Tattoo Co. on Berry. Hes found a new home where his many talents will be revered.

Lets start with the call for a piercing I got the estimate them went to the location the guy who does piercing wouldnt be in til 5, left came back they said 30 more mins but by this time other ppl were getting their stuff done. The told me to come back later ....again....I feel like they kindly refused to service me. Soooo...I do not recommend this place unless you are not of my descent...you may have a better experience if your not.

Couldn’t be more pleased! I’ve been going to Royal 1 Tattoo for years now , I’ve previously been tattooed by Cameron and Ryan, they are both great artists and I love all my tattoos from them, and as much as I’d love to brag about them both, the man of the hour today was Taylor , he was already set up at his station upon my arrival, he’s a kindred soul that talked me through the rough parts of the tattoo, he told a hilarious Star Wars joke that almost made me move, very light handed, gentle wiper, explained the process as he went, informing me of each step and what he was working on at the moment, he also spoke about his expansive funky shoe collection(be sure to ask him about it) , as well he mentioned new puppy problems, we all know how puppys can be little rascals sometimes hahahah, the tattoo is great, but honestly, now it’s just a souvenir from the time I spent with a new friend

This place is my friends and Is go to place for tats and piercings. Aaron is a really great piercer. Hes cool, knowledgeable, and gives great step by step process of what hes doing, how to clean the piercing and so on. I had an infection type of ordeal with my plug and he scolded me (I 100% deserved it though..I didnt know what I was doing) and told me how to fix it. Besides that hes funny and doesnt fail to make jokes to ease someone who might be nervous for a new piercing. 👍🏽

Taylor did a superb job on a cover up on my left ankle I had gotten 20 years ago! Hes got a great personality and he is a top notch artist!!! Ive been here twice for piercings. Their piercer is just awesome, Im terrible with names but I believe it was Andrew or Aaron or something along those lines. He made me feel very confident about getting my piercing.I was in the market to get my bridge pierced. I went to three shops prior to going to this one, they either didnt have the equipment (you only need a needle for this one), or they just plain didnt want to do it. That was very discouraging. When I told the piercer here at Royal 1 what I wanted to get done I was greeted with a very different response - Hell yeah! It was over within 10 minutes, it is perfectly positioned. Couldnt be happier!The septum piercing you see in the pic was also done by the same man 4 years ago!

The experience was great. I took my 3 year old to get her ears pierced. But the earnings they used were not very good. They fell out 2weeks after we got them done. The backs wouldn’t stay on. Considering they charged me about $60 I expected them to last. Now I have to pay again to have them re done.

Boyfriend and I came in not knowing what to get but Taylor knew exactly from the moment we walked in! Great hospitality, very clean and very well informed the both of us the process. (Our first tattoo.) will be coming back in a couple of months!!

Walked in with an idea In my head but no idea how to put it all together cohesively. Jay Tee was super friendly from the start and drew up a piece that left me speechless. Only the first session in and I’m beyond ecstatic and can’t wait for the next session. The staff, atmosphere, and work can’t be compared to. Hands down the BEST place to go in Fort Worth for a custom piece.

Went to get my ears pierced. Waited half an hour to get a pricing on it but the people who wanted tattoos got pricing immediately, which I understand because that’s more money for the business. Tried to tell me that it was $60 for piercing both of my lobes, and when I asked why they said it was because it was good quality surgical steel that the earrings were made from. The sets were priced at $16 each which means they were going to try to charge me $44 to pierce my ears. Was going to see if I’d want to get a tattoo at this place, but I think I’ll find somewhere else to go.

This was a few years back, so please excuse me if the name was wrong. I was super excited to come in for my 2nd tattoo with my sister and worked with the drawing artist on customizing one. It was perfect. I got it done by Ryan (I believe). He was very heavy handed, it hurt like no other and I bled something awful. Since it was only my tattoo, I shrugged it off as not knowing how it was going to feel. I bled so much I stained my clothes... still not too sure thats normal. After it healed, I noticed lots of lines not filled and it was only black and white. I still love the design and have so many comments on it. Had another customized tattoo by another artist put on the opposite side, same spot, and had a lot less trouble with the bleeding/pain and its held up pretty nice too. Im hoping I was just there on an off day. I still hold hope because I see such nice reviews and hope to update my review sometime.

Both my wife and I came to see Jason after being referred by some co-workers. We are very pleased with the work he did for us and will definitely be back to get some more done. I especially like the fact that there wasnt any craziness going on in the shop and everyone seemed to be respectful and considerate of the concentration needed to do great work.

I was a first timer and decided to get my tattoo here because of all the good google reviews! These reviews are 100% honest! Even though I was there pretty late (two hours before closing) two of the artists talked with me. I kept changing my mind about which design I wanted but they were very patient with me. They made me laugh a few times even though I was extremely nervous. It was a small wrist piece and ended up being $90. A base fee of $50 is what you pay and the rest is added based on your tattoo. A lot of my friends say that Ive spent too much on the tattoo, but it was my first time. Everything was clean and they described exactly how to care for the healing. Couldnt be happier with my first tattoo!

Came in tonight (06/27/2016) to get my nips re pierced and my helix pierced as well. Aaron did an AMAZING job. Third time getting my nips redone and I didnt even feel it. Hes fast, clean and keeps you distracted! Will definitely be coming back to get more piercings!

Came in with my brother to get his first tattoo. When describing what he wanted, the artist was off-putting. For a small tattoo of a date and three words, the artist tries to charge us $150. When asked why the price was so high, the artist got very defensive and asked how old I was and proceeded to rant about how he was 40 years old (ok?) and doesn’t negotiate his price. I calmly tried to tell him I wasn’t trying to offend him and was told to go somewhere else. Guy was a real jackass. Anyways I would give them zero stars if I could, ruined a cool moment with my brother.

Ryan Tattooed me on January 8th. It’s been a month. why does my tattoo look 50 years old?? I took care of it like I do all my other tattoos that look perfect. The line work is also poorly done as well as the shading Don’t go to this guy

Super service, exceptional talent and overall greatness coming from Jay Tee. I came to Jay Tee in hopes he would be able to salvage some extremely shotty work done by another artist. He has absolutely blown me away with his talent. My sleeve that was once an ugly beast is now beautiful and totally tank top worthy! In addition to taking on this huge fixer upper, he did a custom compass rose matching piece for me and a friend and totally nailed it. If your looking for fabulous ink with exceptional service Jay Tee is your man!

I highly recommend taylor for any tattoo needs you may have. I have been with him for the past year and a half and i wont trust anybody else to do any of my tattoos again! Super good work, clean lines great color. Super nice, great at keeping conversations and making everybody feel comfortble. Again 10/10 tattoo artist!

I got hip dermals done at this shop over 4 yrs ago and came back bc after 4 yrs my body was trying to reject 1 of them.The new piercer Isaac is amazing, I think any other piercer wouldve given up after the first ten minutes of trying to recover the piercing that was under my skin.His shadower Lance was also very helpful and kind. She assisted him the entire time so he could do his job as best as he could.Needless to say its been a few wks and my piercing is back to normal. I couldnt have asked for a better piercer.

I had my wrist tattoo done at the tattoo place next to JJ Dakotas on highway 80 by Cherry Balm and it looked absolutely awful and it was beyond painful, there was so much blood.I asked my friend where I should go and she recommended Fly, he had to redo the entire tattoo and it looks amazing!, it didnt hurt much at all. Hes very easy to talk to and personable. Ive had two more tattoos done since then. I wont go to anyone else. Hes awesome

Nathan Leatherwood is one bad ass artist. His line work is clean and his shading is top shelf. Dude has done lots of ink therapy on me and I have enjoyed every piece as they come out hands down better than I pictured them. If you want Good quality work you wont find Anyone better.

Stopped in a few weeks ago with my son to meet and talk about getting his first tattoo. Met Jay Tee and ended up having alot in common. Jay Tee not only tattooed my son but when he showed his grandmother the great work, she went in and got her first tattoo. They could not be any happier with the finished artwork. Last night, me and two of my girls went to Royal one tattoo studio on a recommendation from social media from a lot of our friends. We had called ahead of time to make sure that they could fit us in that evening, and they said it was first come first serve and to come on in. When we arrived however (8pm on a Monday, well before close), after we told them what we wanted a moon phase to commemorate our latest girls trip together, we were met with some very odd remarks. Now, all of us are service industry, artist, and musicians. And on top of that Ive got thousands of dollars worth of work on my own body. So I was extremely shocked when the tattoo artist very obviously showed some apprehension about doing his job, and called over another tattoo artist (older, grey hair) to ask if he want to do that, because it was clear that the first tattoo artist either just didnt want to, or thought the moon phases was basic af. Who knew at this point. The other tattoo artist hemmed and hawwed a little bit, and then literally said yeah no I just cant get MOTIVATED enough to do that.Im sorry you couldnt get motivated enough to do your job. It was the most unprofessional experience Ive ever had with an artist and we were deeply insulted. We will make sure to share this experience with all your followers who recommended your studio, and to our followers in our musician and artist community.

Rude staff. Every encounter I’ve had over the last 10 years has been with someone who acts like they would rather be doing anything else, with the exception of Taylor. They act super inconvenienced that you’re there. As if you’re not paying them. Lmfao. If you come here, ask for Taylor. Everyone else clearly hates the line of work they chose

Whatever dude on the phone was so rude. i asked a question and he started getting smart with me saying “well since ur an adult u should * and starts telling me info i already knew* and him and his coworkers were laughing at me bc i just wanted information. like okay bye getting that $10 an hours i hope it’s worth it ur too grown to be arguing with kids like get a life and a better job.

My daughter wanted her tongue pierced so I looked around and choose Royal 1..I was nervous about the whole thing as a mother would be, but I was introduced to Issac and he assured me he would take very good care of her..he explained exactly what he was doing and made her very comfortable ...he did an excellent job and we are very satisfied customers. I highly recommend this establishment ..Ask for Isaac he is Awesome!!

Tattoo artist can be quirky and temperamental, it seems to be the nature of being artistic... Having said that Im sooo grateful to have reconnected with Fly again...he does AMAZING work and didnt hesitate at all to finish a piece that another artist at another place started and refused to finish. PLUS he helped me create two more new pieces and even do some corrective work to another piece.This was GREAT for me because Fly is who I prefer. I didnt know where he was for awhile...Im sooooooo glad he moved to Royal 1....he is an extremely experienced and gifted artist and now he is in a much nicer environment. The atmosphere was really laid back and friendly.... I look forward to coming back and getting more artistic skin expressions placed on my body...

Been here twice. The first time way awesome. The second time not so much. They guy who did my second tattoo wouldnt even talk to me, so I didnt get a name, And he didnt shave my arm, which messed up a couple of my lines. And then he charged me 150, which I usually wouldnt care, cause I cant tattoo so I cant judge a price. but I truly feel like I got ripped off and I am not happy with my tattoo and he didnt even give me a receipt soooo. (I know I should have asked)The shop is awesome and I love it, I wish I could be more helpful by giving you the name of the guy who tattooed my but I really cant :/

Nathan Leatherwood is the best artist I have ever been blessed to do work on me and my friends. I will forever be greatful for the artwork and masterpiece he created. Cant say enough about how great my experience was. Showed up around 4:30 and the artists on hand were all busy. I had about a 20 minute wait but it was well worth it. Fly was very personable. His work was expedient but carefully done and the price was reasonable. Would highly recommend you not go anywhere else in town!

Alright so Aaron shoved a needle in my ear because I needed my industrial done, and he did a marvelous job especially because it was all jacked up from a far more inferior piercer a few years back.It was quick and easy and Im going to go back so he can stab me a few more times, and I highly recommend you do the same for all of your piercing needs.

In my opinion Royal 1 Tattoos is hands down the best tattoo shop in Fort Worth. The guys at the shop are always nice and inviting. The artists put out amazing artwork. The guys are always ready to answer questions, and the cleanness of the shop is awesome!!!

The piercer, Aaron, is amazing. He is professional, knowledgeable, and sanitary. Super funny which helps take the anxiety out of getting a piercing. Will be going back to Aaron any time I want a new piercing.

The service was not great. I went in as the last customer of the night to get dermal piercings. I asked if they took credit and was told yes. The piercing expience was great and not very painful. Afterwards I was told that they only took cash. I was asked to leave and goto an ATM. I refused. Then suddenly they took 36 hours later one of my dermals fell out, not the anchor luckily. I went back and was told it was my fault for leaving the bandaid on for 12 hours too long. I had the piercer fix it and tighten both of them. They healed nicely and look nice. However being my first dermals i didnt know that most professional piercers know to use titanium anchors. They used surgical stainless steel. The problem with this if you ever need an MRI/CAT scan this can cause serious issues because of magnetic difficulties. Even worse if you need an xray. So I am having mine removed and redone in some months with a more knowledgable and reputable establishment.
