Fifth Estate Tattoo

This was my 10th tattoo, but first time at Fifth Estate. I was recommended this shop by a friend, and it definitely did not disappoint! My artist was Mando, I gave him the premise of what I was wanting for my tattoo, and he made a beautiful design. I wanted to celebrate my love for AZ since I grew up here, and he got everything I wanted into one piece for my forearm. A bobcat, the superstitions, some cacti, and a beautiful AZ sunset. My first tattoo with Mando will not be my last! Plus we knocked the whole thing out in one session, just about 3.5 hours long. Hes not heavy handed at all with his work, which made it much easier to sit straight through it all without having to stop for multiple sessions.

I have several tattoos that have been done at this wonderful shop. Both Mando and Dom are amazing.

Travis did a great job delivering what I wanted! I wasn’t very good at describing it but he nailed it! I get great compliments on my tattoo!

Went in for a large chest piece from Mando. Simply amazed by his work and work ethic. He has been tattooing for over 21 years and if you are patient enough to wait for an appointment, then you will NOT be disappointed. But you cant go wrong with any of the 5th Estate artists. After sitting in the chair for 5 hours, I got to see most of the other artists work and they only hire the best. The shop is very nice and super clean...very welcoming and good vibes.

At the 5th Estate, I had the privilege of having Lex as my tattoo artist. Over the course of several years, Lex transformed my arm with a half-sleeve that incorporates Maneki Neko, a peacock, and Japanese deity Raijin. I love my tattoos and often receive compliments.In addition to the great service Lex provides, the staff are all professional and the artists are all talented, making for a great experience from the moment you walk in the door. I was so pleased with the service they provided me that I took my daughter for her first tattoo.The 5th Estate is great, I strongly recommend them.

Sydney did a great job. Came in for my first tattoo ever and she was incredibly patient. Definitely coming back for any future inking needs!

Jose was amazing!! Made me feel very comfortable and welcome, I love the tattoo he did for me it’s was an early birthday present for myself and he made my dream tattoo come to life! I love it so much! my favorite piece thank you so much Jose!!!

Easily some of the best tattoo artists in the state. I highly recommend both Mando and Jose! They are both super talented and easy to work with.

This is one of the best tattoo experiences I’ve ever had! Such a clean studio, great vibe and great people. I came in for a walk in and got in right away. My artist was Kyrin and she was absolutely phenomenal. Her line work is out of this world. If you want a clean tattoo kyrin is your girl!!

Started my tattoo last night with Issac. Awesome job, looking forward to finishing it up and starting the next phase of the story. Issac is a true artist who cares about his work and how it is represented on your skin. Hes an up front kinda guy who lets you know his thoughts and will give you honest advice. Everyone I meet there was very cool. Theyre a family and I highly recommend these awesome folk. You may need to wait awhile, do to our new world reality, but it is will be worth it in the end. Great job Issac, wife loves it, and see everyone soon!! I gave 5 stars but double that, no triple it!!

This was an amazing experience! Taylor is skilled and authentic! He is talented and the shop is clean and original.

Had Fernando as our artist, was incredibly friendly and was able to do some great art on the fly with the ideas we had. Was very open to discussing options, and educated us on how certain designs/elements would look over time. Was very chill with my grandma and great aunt, which was great - didnt act like they were old or shouldnt be there. Would definitely come here again!

Everyone was very friendly. My husband and I both made appointments and our tattoos turned out great. Jed is amazing!

This Tattoo shop was so amazing! I had walked in there on my birthday and everyone said Happy Birthday to me and they were just so sweet! I had Dom and he was amazing! It my first Tattoo and I was really nervous but he helped by talking to me during my session! I would highly recommend this shop and Dom!!

The vibe at this shop is unlike any other I’ve been in! Absolutely love everyone in there, Jose has the softest hand out of all the tattoos I have gotten in the past. Definitely recommend checking them out.

Kyrin was amazing, they had the lightest hand ever, felt like i was in a massage chair. super cool, super chill, made me feel comfortable. definitely recommend!

What clean and amazing shop filled with talented and professional artists. Timo did a reaper on my arm that is truly a work of art. I am constantly getting compliments on how well it was done and how unique it is. Thank you!

Awesome shop- super clean, great staff. They are all so patient, calm, and communicative. This is a shop that knows what they are doing and I’ve gotten a few tattoos here- great talent with tons of styles that should draw a wide range of creativity 🖋️

Clean and nice people until you pay. Then I politely asked for explanation over the price and they never replied. Never told they go by hour and although I was there for 2hr 45 mins I got charged I believe for more. So I sent an email. They never cared to reply. They of course charged me the highest price of the artist quote.

I was here this Monday, I just made a phrase on my back but I loved it a lot, the line was super straight and the letters look beautiful, my artist was Sydney And I absolutely loved her work, Its a pretty nice environment because of the music and very friendly treatment, 100% recommended, give Sydney a raise

I had a great experience at Fifth Estate today. My artist was Sara and she was amazing. She talked through my design with me and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. It came out beautiful! I will be coming back to get more.

I’ve been to this place a couple times before and love all the work they’ve done. this time, i called ahead and asked if they did walk ins. the lady on the phone said yes and helped me through the process. i was able to walk in and show my design. Jose did my tattoo and i absolutely love it. he was great to work with and was accommodating to what i wanted. he also touched up a tattoo i had gotten from a different shop. overall 1000/10. i will be going back. much love!!

Nice place, my friend got a great tattoofrom Josh! I, however, would probably not recommend Syndey as she’s still new and put too much pressure on my tattoo resulting in tattoo blowout (thick and blurry lines) 👎

Im pretty much covered from the waist up and have been tattooed in just about every tattoo setting imaginable and in multiple different countries so I think I speak from experience when I say that Fifth Estate Tattoo is one of the best Ive ever been! The staff are all very friendly and always willing to answer your questions, give professional opinions, (please dont ask them if you should get the frog w/ the rose or the tulip? not only is it a ridiculous question its just bad tattoo etiquette and karma!) It all start with their Head of the House, Reta. She does a great job of communicating between you and the artist when they arent available, but makes everyone feel extra welcome when they arrive whether you are a ex biker wanna be rock star or a little old grandma from Scottsdale getting her first rose tattoo. My tattoo artist is Jose and hes not only very good, but also just a chill dude. Talks if you want to talk, quiet if you dont, reads his customers great as well. Ive been there enough now to see some of the other artist work as well and they are all very impressive and once again, just really nice people!

I got a tattoo by Taylor and I love it. Hes very talented, has a great hand. I had a tattoo placed in a very sensitive spot and I was very pleased with the lack of pain. His pricing was very reasonable, especially for the work he did. I will be returning to him to retouch some old tattoos. Highly recommend

Best tattoo experience Ive ever had. Nice friendly people and clean atmosphere. Taylor is my artist and I found him by seeing his work on someone that was phenomenal. I just had my first session and he is making a not-so-great tattoo look amazing! I cant wait for my next session

Some really talented artist here, so much so, I plan on returning for sleeve work! Isaac did my leg tat and Timo will be doing my arm work.

I have been through five artists for seven tattoos and have not found one that I felt comfortable enough with and confident enough with to call my tattoo artist. However, Jose at Fifth Estate Tattoo is absolutely phenomenal. He helped me envision a beautiful tattoo of my Pitbulls paw prints, adoption date, and name. As someone who does not do well with pain (yet obsessed with tattoos, I know), Joses touch was so gentle and soft, when he was working on the shading, I was in no pain. The overall atmosphere at Fifth Estate is by far rare, and Jose will be getting all of my business from here on out! Thank you!

I got my first tattoo from Jose and the experience was great overall. I gave him my idea of a small quote in my fathers handwriting and he gave me a beautiful tattoo exactly where I wanted it. With the notes and birthday cards I brought in, he pieced together the phrase. Despite it being on my ribs it was easy and the pain was low. Very satisfied with the work, the scheduling, and the atmosphere!

I had the best experience with Fifth Estate, Lindsey in particular! She was accommodating, super talented, so sweet, and really great to work with. Im so happy I chose her for a sentimental tattoo, which she created for me and made even better than what I had envisioned. Loved the new shop, the experience and Lindsey!!

These people are crooks . Pretty much stole my $100 deposit never did a tattoo. If deposits are non refundable that’s fine too but at least reschedule. Not even willing to do that but trying to charge me another $100. Absolutely Ridiculous. Terrible experience do not recommend

I went to Fifth Estate Tattoo for my first tattoo. I was a bit nervous, but everyone was so friendly that I relaxed in no time. The shop was clean and well taken care of. The staff were all very nice and welcoming. My tattoo turned out great! Overall, it was a very good experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

First rate work. My tattoo was done by Isaac who is extremely talented and friendly. Im very happy with his work. Fifth Estate is clean, friendly, and Reta at the front desk is awesome. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

So grateful I chose this place! 97% of my experience was with my artist, Issac, who is SO talented. He really takes pride in his work and created an amazing masterpiece based on my idea and it was better than I could have imagined! So happy to have it on me forever. Thanks again!

Jose has some incredible line work and free form techniques. The staff is also very kind and the environment is comfortable yet professional.

I hadnt heard of Fifth Estate Tattoo before I went in but it had the exact feel that I was looking for. I got a simple ambigram tattoo. But sometimes simple can be hard to get right. My artist was Marc. I made him reposition the pattern 3 times before I was happy. He was patient and worked until it was right. Marc is a great artist. I wouldnt hesitate to have him do another piece.

Isaac was amazing and truly cared about the tattoo that he gave my sister and I. It was an EKG with my moms handwriting I love you. Really simple, and most people wouldnt have thought it was a huge deal. My mom passed away a year and a half ago, so my sister and I wanted matching tattoos. Isaac went above and beyond with our tattoos. He was amazing. He talked with us, and made sure that we were happy with the design. Amazing tattooer.

I wanted a tattoo to cover up a scar. Met with Dom, and he was very honest with me and told me that I should not consider it for at least two years after my injury. It’s only been a year. He took the time to explain to me why and is very nice guy. I’ll be back in a year

Taylor is a straight shooter and a great artist. He books out 2-4 weeks though so be ready for that. There are other artists but I have no experience with them. The place is clean like no other. Ive been there four times now and every time it is clean when I get there and then cleaned multiple times while Im there.

My sister and I wanted to do smaller walk in tattoos for fun while I was visiting AZ. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and our artist Isaac was super friendly and knowledgeable. We both love our tattoos and it was an easy process. Loved the atmosphere at this place.

While I was visiting my sister, we decided to get matching tattoos. Taylor got us in same day but we had to do each of ours about an hour apart. Taylor was awesome! Friendly and helpful in creating our tattoo. Atmosphere is good and clean.

Josh was very personable and considerate as this was my first tattoo. He explained everything and made me feel comfortable.

Literally one of the best places on earth! I cannot recommend this place enough! The most amazing people with beautiful art! Everyone there is so sweet, and beyond talented! 10/10 recommend! :)

The artwork was decent, but Sydney and the from reception girl were incredibly rude and not personable at all.

Nice clean environment in a great location. All the artists seem to do a really good job from my observation. Fernando was my artist and was a cool guy that did a nice job on my tattoo. Im only giving 4 stars due to the fact that they dont accept credit cards. Its a bit silly in 2016. Although they do advertise with V/MC stickers and a machine. I was told that it was only for the owners.

Marc was awesome and super fast, and the pricing was great! He got my idea perfectly and gave me a beautiful tattoo. 11/10 best place Ive been to in the Phoenix area so far.

They are all super friendly and amazing artists! My boyfriend is finishing his sleeve there and I got 1 tattoo so far, but I plan on getting more. Very clean and professional environment. Highly recommend

The talented artists are master craftsmen. Through Isaacs artistry and creativity he brought to life my vision that was years in the making and I am awed by the outcome. Such a friendly group who shepherded a tattoo virgin such as myself through the process with care and confidence. Amazing!!!

Top notch! My husband and I have been having Timo do our work now for 2+ years. They are amazing artists, very professional and a very clean environment. I love the comradery between the artists and Retta too! They make you feel very comfortable. Just a great shop and will continue to have my work done here.

Was visiting from out of town and had an idea for my tattoo. Went and scheduled an appointment with Mando and let him take my idea and go with it. He blew me away with what he did. The tattoo turned out way better that i could have ever imagined. He was very friendly and approachable. He also had the tattoo done very quickly

My bf and i did a walk-in yesterday and talked to marc, he was very helpful with placement and everything. Very kind and super good! My tattoo looks perfect!

This place is awesome!! Good vibes all around and they take walk-ins. I called just to make sure they do and they had us on the table within 15 minutes of getting there. They were $100 each which is pretty good in my opinion. Definitely recommend this place!!

Got a lion tattoo on my shoulder. Absolutely love it. My artist did an amazing job, for a good price too. The room is also very comfortable and clean.

The person I spoke with was rude and had a major attitude. She was not helpful at all and acted like my request was crazy... I called the shop beforehand to make sure they could do the tattoo I wanted as it would be a little more complex. I wanted 3 words in my late stepfathers handwriting. I had 2 of the words complete in his handwriting and just needed one word pieced together from a note of his that had all the letters. She confirmed they could do it and when I showed up and re explained it she looked at me like I was crazy. Her response was that they couldnt do it and that I could just pick a font off the computer that was close to his handwriting. I explained that the point of the tattoo was that it would be in his handwriting...not a font close to it. Long story short she was totally rude and acted like I was asking for the impossible. I went home, took a photo of the note, cropped the letters together of the ONE word, and added the other two complete words in about 20 minutes. I obviously went elsewhere to get the THREE words tattooed, along with two other family members. I would not recommend this shop if your tattoo needs any more effort than picking a font off a computer.

Didnt ask for id, filled out no paperwork, would not take any kind of card, cash only. Feels like it was under the table. For as many great reviews it was very sketchy, disappointed and feel taken advantage of. Artist was good and sanitary but front desk was lack luster.

Jon and his team of artist are amazing. The place is clean, open and friendly. Youll expect to receive a great service and an amazing finished product.

I was yelled at by a lady on the phone this was totally unprofessional when I just had a concern. This is not how you treat your clients and fifth estate does not deserve to be rated this highly I do not recommend this tattoo shop there is plenty of better tattoo shops that will have better prices and treat you with better respect
