Absolutely would not recommend, especially for piercing for children. 12 year old daughter came in today (her birthday) to get her ears pierced. Our piercer was Lily. But I only know that from her card as she didn’t even introduce herself or ask my daughter her name. I would think if your profession includes working on people you would have a deep understanding of helping people (especially CHILDREN) feel safe and comfortable. She literally did not say a word unless she had. She did not explain the process to my daughter and the steps she was going to take, which kind of left her feeling anxious because she had no idea if she was marking her ear or actually going to pierce it. Seemed like she was pissed to even be there. Pretty much anyone can pierce an earlobe so the only thing that is going to separate you from the competition is your customer service.

Ben is an AMAZING artist!!! Hes done three tattoos for me and two were cover ups of old tattoos. His line work and shading is off the charts! Not only is his work fantastic but he is extremely professional and easy to talk to. Hell make sure your tattoo turns out exactly how you want it and that you love it. I LOVE mine, THANKS BEN!!!

Got some piercings for the girls and myself. Great experience. Piercings are almost all the way healed. No infections. No swelling worth mentioning. Clean establishment. Very fast. Very efficient. Sarah is an excellent example of good business and personality.

I asked for a military eagle tat the artest asked to add a couple things and I agreed. It looks exactly like the one I asked for and done even better with the 2/7 fox 1st marine division. There were so many boys in their unit and I loved them all. My son made it home but part of him died on that battlefield too. He also did a serenity tree altered with ideas because Im small and theres little to work with. THANK YOU THANK YOU well done 6stars if I could give it

Sarah, the piercer, is amazing. She was so great with my daughter getting her ears pierced. She took her time, and was really sweet. She is the only one in the shop that I can speak to regarding professionalism. The other employee who pulled up and opened the shop at exactly 12p wasnt very welcoming. She said the piercer should be here by now and she doesnt answer my texts. Ooook..so you cant make appointments for piercings, but walking in isnt reliable either..

Sarah was amazing!!! Was super nervous to get my belly pierced and she 100% was patient and not pressuring at all. So sweet and professional!! 100% recommend her!!!🥰

Came here today to get both nostril piercings removed after only having them for a week or so. The shop that had done them originally pierced them super wrong, and Sarah was SO helpful! She was very kind and informative, and walked me through the whole process of removing them to help ease the anxiety. She made it super painless. 100% recommend!!

I found this place close to my house so I figured I would check it out after reviewing their work online. I walked in and was told I had to email the artist of what Id like to have done. I went to my vehicle and emailed the pic of what Im looking to get. After several days with no reply, I sent a follow up email to see if Cliff had received it. Again no reply. Its an email that would have taken 2 minutes to reply but nothing. I wont try again. Found another artist with the same protocol and he got back to me next day. Quite frankly Im glad as the other artist has far greater skills and customer service.

Loved the shop. Took my wife in for a tattoo date, and its become my permanent shop.

Had a great experience here. The artists and piercers are friendly and down-to-earth and not egotistical. The quality and cleanliness were fantastic. I would feel very comfortable coming back here for any tattoo or piercing needs.

Ben Porter is amazing. I first met Ben when I accompanied my younger brother to get a tattoo. He was so nice and accommodating. I loved that both times my brother was tattooed by Ben, he had Him move the placement with the stencil multiple times and Ben never made him feel like an inconvenience. He gets that he’s putting something permanent on you and wants to make sure it’s exactly what you want and placed exactly where you want. You’d think that would be the norm, but sadly, I have been to other shops that turn their nose up and act irritated when you ask them to move the placement, change the size, etc, so it was awesome to see Ben care about your wants and needs. I went in for my first tattoo with Ben last night and it was the best tattoo experience I’ve had. As mentioned before, Ben was kind, accommodating, takes his time to make sure he’s getting exactly what you want with the drawing, makes sure you’re comfortable during the tattooing, and is super personable/humble/easy to talk to. And my tattoo he did (wildflowers) is my favorite tattoo I’ve had thus far. I felt more relaxed here while receiving tattooing than I do getting my nails done. He has gained life long customers from me and my family. I am already thinking of the next tattoo I want him to do for me. Thank you Ben !

Sarah is AMAZING!!! Ive already been seen by her twice and am planning a 3rd trip! She has terrific bed side manner. Truly a pleasant experience overall.

Me and my mom went in as walk-ins and they helped us very quickly! Both of our tattoos turned out just how we wanted them. They were able to do extremely fine lines which is just how I wanted. Both of our artists were extremely kind and talented! Loved our experience here!

Got my navel repierced by Sarah, she was very informative, knowledgeable, and made sure the piercing was as painless as possible. 10/10 experience!! Would definitely recommend her to a friend or family member.

I got a belly button ring with Sarah and I knew I wanted it but still I was very nervous and Im not good with needles or piercing things through my body. I asked her what tricks and tools she has for me cause I was nervous and immediately she was very supportive and encouraging making sure I knew she would stop if I needed and I could even walk out and not do it if I wanted. She was really really great. I did get it done and it was quick and over easy. Thank you Sarah!!

My granddaughter and I went there to get semicolon tattoos as a bonding experience and it was terrific. Both guys there, unfortunately I do not remember their names,were great. They did exactly what we asked for, prices are good and they were very friendly and made both of us have a fun, memorable time. The shop is very clean and a welcoming place. I am already planning my next tattoo and will be getting it done there.

Ben was AMAZING from the second I came in to see him. So respectful and accommodated me wanting to switch my placement ,& made me feel so comfortable. He was thorough, let me know what the experience would be like and When I left he gave me his number to let him know if I had any questions about anything to text him, such a humble guy. I went in to get my ears pierced with my grandma. Sarah did an amazing job!! She was very friendly and worked efficiently and smoothly. I got my helix pierced and double pierced my lobes. She worked quickly and it was pain free. Highly recommend!

Best shop Ive been to. Not really sure about the validity of the other reviews on here, Ive had work done by both Keith and Chris, each piece becoming my new favorite. The prices are what youd expect anywhere that provides the services of ARTISTS, which is what youll find at Instinktive. All but one of the tattoos Ive had there have been freehand and look outstanding. A lot of the other shops in the Valley act like they are celebrities, fail to acknowledge customers, and scoff at anything besides their style. I recommend this place to all my friends, and will be going there for work as long as they are there.

They gave me piercings with externally threaded jewelry which is unhealthy

This is an excellent place for first timers, ben is wonderful, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to tattoos and tattoo styles. He also helped me replace my eyebrow ring. Ive gotten 3 tattoos from him and his art is great! Dont believe me? Just stop on by, his work is plastered on the walls of his room. Incredible work. Really.

I’ve had my nose piercing for about a year and it never got infected - I came here to get my stud replaced with a hoop and it’s been infected since. The hoop was way too small. The piercer is very kind but I’ve never had my piercing so infected and gross

Very impressed with this pace and Chris in particular! I went in because I had an eyebrow piercing done in Vegas and I was having some problems. Even thought it wasnt his work, Chris took time with me to explain to me how to care for it (I had gotten bad after care instructions) and even ended up changing out the jewelry for me. He was very nice and helpful when he didnt have to be and I will definitely be back!

I went to Instinktive for both my first tattoo and navel piercing. My tattoo was just lettering but the entire time my artist complained that he hated to do lettering. He really made me feel uncomfortable. The tattoo turned out fine; however after going to several other shops to compare pricing I found that he over priced my tattoo by about $40. My piercing was done about a year later. Unfortunately the only guy who could do piercing there at the time was the same guy who did my tattoo. He had some difficulty and ended up having to start over on my piercing. I really love to support local businesses; however not when the work is completely overpriced. The only good thing I can say about this place is that there is a new artists named Brandon there and he does AMAZING work. I have had some work done by him before he joined the crew and would really recommend him.

Super cool people. Ben did my very first tattoo. Was something pretty simple but he killed it. Now Im hooked on getting tattoos. He will be my tattoo artist for the rest. Hope my bank account can keep up. Check them out for sure.

Angela does a great job! After originally getting my ears pierced at Claires I noticed they were deffinetly asymmetrical. It caused me a lot of stress and so I went to Instinktive Tattoo to fix it. Angela did a perfect job matching them up, and then explained how the shape and size of the ears comes into play. I was really impressed by the fact she took so many measurements with calipers to ensure it was dead on.If youre nervous about getting your ears pierced and having it done right the first time, I cant reccomend anyone better!

Great place to commission an art piece that goes where you go :) My wife getting her 4th art installment. Mine is tomorrow night. I cant praise Ben enough...the man takes pride in what he does and listens to what you are asking for and delivers.

So Happy with Sarah Rodriguezs work!! She pierced my ears with such ease.. Didnt hurt at all. I had my ears pierced from a piercing gun and it hurt for a an hour after. Wow thanks Sarah!!

Sarah my piercer was sooo amazing. So very worth it. I was in and out in 20 minutes and the actual peircing took less than 2 minutes. Highly recommend. Ask for Sarah! :))

There wasnt a very good selection of septum jewelry when I went in and the shop from what I could see looked run down. The women I spoke to was very nice though.

Keith made mine and my friends experience impeccable, he was not only friendly and respectful he made us laugh and his work is beyond of beauties. We will definitely be coming back to our homie Keith. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Went in for TieDye Cactus. Our tattooist was Jason. Its pretty mediocre work. Ill be having to take this piece to be redone for lines and Color... 150$ an hour.. Just dont do it. Do some more research. Go to a better shop with some better artists.. ( way better artists ).

This is a new place right across from the ASU East Campus. Yes I know they call it Polytechnic now but screw them. That is a made up word.Instinktive is a clean, pro shop that does serious work. The artists are consummate professionals. Keith Pulver, the owner, does fantastic work; he also grabbed some of the top talent in the area to work in the shop.Unlike many area shops, they are not flaky and unprofessional. They are communicative and have a good system down for scheduling and follow-up. They seem to follow all the industry best practices for cleanliness. Above all else, their work is top quality for a reasonable price.

They are so damn friendly and professional. They did an amazing job with my tattoo and their prices are perfect 🥰 absolutely coming back.

Angela has done a tragus piercing and a white finger tattoo on me and I absolutely love her and her work if i was to go back for anything id go straight to her she let me watch her clean and disinfect every thing both times and i would recommend her to everyone

Had a great experience, i got my second ear piercing dont here, it was quick, and for a decent price. She had me take a breath and as i exhaled she pierced. Best experience.

The lady that did my piercing was sweet and nice but she did my septum wrong. She put it way to low into my cartilage. No where near the “sweet spot.”

Dont come for piercings. Staff isnt nice. The area looks really dirty and trashy, should have left then. They dont answer their phone calls.

Very impolite over the phone then came in to get my nose pierced and the piercing fell out within 3 days. Very shotty craftmenship do not recommend.

Unsure of the quality of the work, however the piercer was so UNKNOWLEDGABLE on his craft I wouldnt even let him pierce my ear. Very unprofessional and lacking any true experience.

Dude! this place BLOOOWWWSSS!!! it sucks bad, I spent 560 bucks on a tattoo that hurt soo freakin bad and it looked like crap! like I paid them to take a crap on my arm. I asked for my money back and the guy started screaminig at me...over paid,junk work and crappy people!
