Paul lives and breathes Japanese tattooing, his shop is covered wall to wall with amazing work. Paul recently completed a Tiger/Peony sleeve & chest plate for me. He was great in the design process, which is where his expertise in Japanese tattooing shined. Trusting his artistic vision and getting out of the way was the best decision I could have made. I am thrilled with the result and will be back for the 2nd arm soon.

I cant speak enough about the customer service here, its amazing. Between the 30 emails back and forth, Tanner always made sure I was happy with the outcome of my tattoo and it was exactly how I pictured it. He even found a better font than I originally had and its absolutely perfect. Im incredibly happy with my new ink and would highly recommend! Will definitely be going back and bringing the husband along!

Ive been going to Paul Dhuey at Katana Tattoo for a munewari bodysuit with long sleeves, a complex design that has required nearly 75 hours of work (so far). I can confidently say that Paul is a master of his craft.The consultation process is thorough and thoughtful. Paul takes the time to do his research and collaborates with me to create a design that honors the tradition of Japanese tattooing while incorporating my personal preferences.The shop itself is immaculate. Beyond that, the atmosphere is inviting, filled with cool artwork and great music. Lets be honest—tattoos are going to be painful. However, Pauls experienced approach and technique makes the process as comfortable as possible. He offers breaks and consistently checks in to see if I need a breather. I usually sit for two days, about five hours per session, and its made manageable by his attentiveness.The work is nothing short of amazing. I constantly receive compliments and inquiries about my tattoos. Absolutely, without a doubt, youre in excellent hands with Paul Dhuey at Katana Tattoo.

Ive started a sleeve with Paul and am beyond happy with his work. I was an incredibly difficult client with my last minute changes but Paul was able to roll with the punches and create a work of art. I would strongly reccomend katana to anyone looking for quality Japanese traditional tattoos.

Ive been wanting a new tat for six months now, and none of the other local tattoo shops had any openings within six months. Drew had openings within a week of me first messaging him, and he understood exactly what I wanted to get done (a flock of bats on my shoulder). When I came in for my appointment, everything was pristinely clean and set up for me. We worked together to get the placement of my tattoo just right, and he didnt have a problem with me asking things to be rearranged a bit. This tattoo turned out absolutely amazing! Absolutely no spots or fading on the solid black bats, and they healed faster than any other tattoo Ive ever gotten. Katana is hands down my new go to tattoo shop in Green Bay.

Tanner is our Dude and can literally rock out any style of tattoo. His way of being normal and carrying a conversation keeps you relaxed and frankly gifted artistic nature makes this a no brainer for your permanent body art. Tanner is a Beast.

Paul is by far one of the best tattoo artists Ive ever had. Paul pays close attention to what your asking for, with a little guidance to get the best tattoo, and pays attention to detail in his art. His studio offers the comfort of real art, lots of talent and is very spacious. I would recommend Paul to anyone who is looking for a great investment of art on their body. Overall I had a great experience with Katana from the prompt response time of my initial tattoo inquiry, scheduling and availability. Jon was great to work with, very personable and a very talented artist. Met Paul as well, who was very much interested in my tattoo. My wife and have both gone in for tattoos. She was some what hesitant, but Drew took care of that with his expertise. Now she is looking to get more done. For me going to multiple artists at other shops is done, I will definitely be coming back to work with Drew. Drew and the rest of the guys have the best shop and know they are doing.

A little over a year ago, I decided to get a large dragon tattoo which I started with a good local artist. After all of the line work was done, I decided that what I really wanted a full Japanese body suit and started looking for an artist to add a suit around the original dragon work. Living in Chicago, I thought Id have to travel to the coasts to find someone specializing in large scale Japanese work, but was happily supprised when I found Katana Tattoo Studio, close by in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and the phenomenal work of Paul Dhuey. I contacted Paul and we spent some time discussing ideas before settling on a Four Guardians of the Compass theme. Due to the position I had requested for the dragon, working the other three Guardians in was a bit challenging, but Im really happy with how its worked out. Im not artistic, so, for the most part, Ive depended on Pauls skills and recommendations, and I have to say I could not be any happier. I love the work hes done and have received many, many compliments. I should also mention that the studio has a good vibe, is super clean, and a great Green Bay location. The other resident artist, Jonathan Gilbert, does exceptional portrait work. Hes obviously not working on me (theres no more room!), but I get to see his work when Im getting worked on - if youre looking for fine portrait or black and grey work, check out his portfolio.

Worked with Paul to do a half sleeve and two smaller tattoos. Pretty happy with how things turned out. Will look forward to coming back!

Paul Dhuey of Katana Tattoo is an incredibly talented tattoo artist. He is exceptionally skilled at large body pieces and has a real knack at making placement decisions that not only highlight the artwork, but also really complements the body that it is on. His shop is one of the best tattoo environments I have ever gotten work in (i.e. clean, new build, well lit, great artwork on the walls...etc.). Well worth the effort to drive/fly to Green Bay if you are from out of town.(I have both legs done (half sleeves) and am in the process of getting a full back piece).

Just had a full sleeve with a chest panel done. Part of it was a cover up of an old tattoo on the shoulder that I thought it would be impossible to conceal. Paul Dhuey navigated throughout the whole process with confidence and demonstrated not only artistic talent but in depth knowledge of the art of Japanese style tattoo (Irezumi). His studio is very cool and immaculated clean. I absolutely love my new tattoo!

Never go here if you care about a quality piece. Has lines in places there shouldnt be, nd when I told him I was unhappy about It he told me its just a tattoo. Also charges a lot for the work considering its completely messed up. Then didnt finish it because I confronted him about the poor quality work.

Paul is a great artist and a cool dude. If youre looking for an artist that takes pride in their work and makes sure you leave happy, then dont look anywhere else.
