I have always had the absolute best experience at this shop. Not only is the shop clean, friendly and amazing, the people that work in the shop are true outstanding folks. Each one of them have a unique style and love for their arts. And it shows in the work they do every single day! Theres not another tattoo shop or family owned business I could recommend more. Not just me, but my family has had work done there too! I will continue to send business to them and use Josh and all of the other talented artists again and again.

I got my septum pierced here and had as good of an experience as you can expect having a piece of metal shoved through your nose.The piercer was personable as well as knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend getting pierced here.The owners are amazing people: friendly, attentive, and professional; and their staff is pretty great too.When you talk about supporting local, these are the people to support.

I personally knows the wife and husband who owns the Texas Tattoo&Art Gallery here at Greenville! The husband is really nice to me and is very serious about his works! In fact he takes pride in doing what’s best for the customers!The wife is FREAKING SWEET despite her tattooed appearance!!! She is an amazing friend to know once you open up and start good chats while being under the needles. She used to own a music/boutique store called Forbidden Arts Gallery. I got a tattoo on May 5th, 2023. Very good first experience. $150 I might get a touch up sometime soon, just to give more details though.

I got 4 piercings done (2 in each ear) at once here and it was amazing! I cant remember the name if the guy but he was super nice and made me feel really comfortable and at home in the studio. I just walked in and they got me in pretty quick and the front desk lady was so nice. My piercings healed amazing and I am planning on coming back to get more done as well as my tattoo. The only thing that couldve been different was I wish they wouldve had studs because the hoop-style got caught in my hair a lot, but they still healed amazing and I just got new ones to change them out.

Ive never been to a more professional, cleaner place. Extremely High Standards for the crew that works there and it shows. Josh has done 2 of my tattoos now, and is working on another that is extremely close to my heart. I refer everyone I know here, and Ive taken my family, including both my sons, and my husband, and several friends. Never left disappointed, and always got what we asked for. Not sure what you want? As for me, I love Groot, and Im a Marine Corps Female Veteran. So I found a photo online, and asked Josh to tattoo it. He added a little so it was his and not completely offline. Josh and Dave have both done beautiful work on me. Always purely professional and clean business. I had recently started suffering from Graves Disease which caused me to shake a lot before my tattoo appointment came. Josh was tattooing my shin and we decided to do line work first then the shading/coloring a few weeks later as I was shaking a lot at this time. Not only was the tattoo executed perfectly on someone who was shaking the entire time he made the experience not as stressful and the decision to do two sittings was the right way to go the tattoo healed perfectly. Before you say “oh well he did it in two sessions to charge you double” this was a tattoo given to me out of the kindness of his heart for my volunteer work for their shop that was only 3 days of work that was fun it wasn’t even work. How many artists do you think would offer that and do two sessions for free? Josh Painter did. Dave did my memorial tattoo for my dad. It’s a bass. Fish are very hard to tattoo and this one is beautiful! My dad would be honored. I recommend this shop.

Im a long time patron, every one of the artists are amazing and the shop is always clean. Very professional staff and always make you feel welcome and comfortable. Dave is my main artist of choice but would trust any of them with my skin. They are close knit and very supportive of one another. Many of the staff will come check on you as you wait or as you are bringing tattooed to see if they can make you experience better. I recommend all my friends and family come here for all their tattoo, custom art and piercings.

I went in with a simple idea of wanting to improve upon a tattoo that had already existed. I knew I wanted a flag and I knew I wanted it in watercolor I just didnt know how I wanted it exactly. Me and my 17 year old came in to buy a belly ring. Then asked if we can get pierced with her birth certificate and me being her mom. This lady who was obviously high as a kite says ITS ILLEGAL. TX law states otherwise but okay... She then proceeded to argue with me that the ring we got cant peirce which very much aware and the only reason we had to get a ring and give them a chance was because I was looking to spend lots of money on tattoos between us both. That was my mistake. Just be warned. Insult to injury... the front looked like a garage and was sketchy

I needed a nose ring replacement and a ball for my eyebrow ring.Girl at the front desk was very helpful and super friendly.The cute blonde girl Meggy was very gracious and put the attachment ball back on for me.I will for sure be conducting my future business with them.

All of my tattoos have been and will be done here! This place isnt just a tattoo shop, its family. My first few tattoos that werent done here I had these artists cover up. Their work is wonderful and the atmosphere is one of kind. Ive always came in with an idea and the artists here just turn it into something so much more than I could have imagined. Each piece I get is even better than the last.

My friend and I came in as walk ins because of the great reviews we read online and were not disappointed. We knew there would be a wait as there were several people waiting already and the artists were all busy, but they each made a point to say hello and talk to us about the tattoos we wanted. There is a ton of art to look at, and the place felt welcoming and clean, unlike some of the shops we have been in. It was well worth the wait! We both got amazing tattoos. Josh even drew mine directly on my body, no picture, just art. Demon Dave did my friends tattoo and its better than what either of us were expecting. We will definitely be back! Our oldest son (who is grown and lives on his own in Dallas) took me to have my daith piercing changed out before surgery. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the studio as well as the professionalism and friendliness of the artist who worked with me (Meggie). My son highly recommends this studio (which is why he trusted them enough to take me there) and chooses to make the drive out when getting a tattoo rather than going someplace in Dallas. We highly recommended this studio for all of your tattoo and/or piercing needs!

Had went in yesterday to get my tongue pierced told the lady at the front desk which piercing I wanted specifically,told me the piercer had just left and to come back tomorrow. I come back only to find out that they do not do tht piercing or ANY tongue piercing besides the middle one. Would highly be appreciated if you guys updated the services you do provide

Very talented artists... The owner Josh Painter is very cordial and doesnt make you feel like hes a hipster making fun of your idea for a tattoo. His wife Erica is the artist behind some of the best artwork in the area. Definitely give them a call if you want some artwork done.

Today was my second time coming in for a tattoo. I highly recommend Chris! He did my nose ring, cartilage, and both my tattoos. I love, love, LOVE, the way they all came out. He took time to make sure everything was perfect and made sure I loved each thing!

I got my daith pierced back in November here and it come out during the quarantine. I called ahead of time on Friday, and was able to walk right in and get it pierced again. Looking forward to getting a tattoo here as well in the future! Keep up the great work and awesome customer service guys!

Had some Intimate piercings done here, the man who did my piercings was very professional and I felt very comfortable. Everything was clean and the process was quick. 10/10

I just got my nostril pierced here back in November 2020. I think it was Chris who did it. I love it so much. It’s gotten a few keloids tho but they recommended tea tree oil and it’s done wonders! They also recommended antibacterial soap to clean it but it didn’t work for me so I just used warm water and sea salt mixed and it’s done great! I’m coming back may 19 to have a tattoo done by Christy and I want to get my septum done!

Dave and Cody are pretty awesome Tattoo artist I highly recommend them they do great work at a reasonable price, they dont price gouge. Everything was clean and everything used was opened in front me. I think I found my new tattoo shop.

Texas tattoos is the only shop Id go to, Meggy is the best with color shes done my whole half sleeve, I would highly recommend her. Josh and Dave specifically are also fantastic artist, as well as the other artists they have there. its an awesome environment, full of talent and great vibes!

Was visiting from California and this is my brothers go-to shop. Went in with an idea and coincidentally there was a flash design almost exactly like I wanted. Cody was great while tattooing me and Im MORE than happy with how my colorful galaxy turned out! Also, just a side note in California the popular shops take walk-ins but not really, and this place actually does! Which is great since most of my tattoos are last minute decisions, if youre in Texas, go here 😊

Meggy took it on full fledge and i knew it was going to be great, but she did better than great! She was a great conversation and doesn’t mind getting personal. I recommend Larry “J.R.” Trull at Texas Tattoos hands down. He has done two of my many tattoos so far and I have left with a smiling face both times! So excited to go back to him for my next one! I have several tattoos and out of all the artist that I have had work done from he has been the most involved, and genuinely wants you to leave with a great new piece of art that you’ll have forever. Very quick, professional service. Went as a walk-in for an eyebrow piercing. The piercer was professional and nice. It was my first piercing and he made it go so smoothly! Barely hurt at all.

I would rate no stars they suck for starters I walked in and he had some sort of attitude with me for no reason and then my Tattoo was a a quote and the lines are bad some thicker then others and there are some parts they didn’t even fill in all the way. He doesn’t have steady hands cannot even do a straight line and the one who did mine is the guy with a ponytail and glasses And a beard. Wouldn’t go there.

Clean and professional. The artists here arent your cookie cutter flash artists. They specialize in custom art for your body. You get a tattoo here, you wont see the same one on a stranger in 6 months. I had Josh, the owner, create a custom memorial tattoo that I treasure. All three piercings I’ve gotten from here have had many many problems, they pierced my industrial even though my ear does not correctly fit or support this piercing. They are professional and nice, but you also get what you pay for.

I had an amazing experience getting my septum pierced! Chris made me feel so comfortable and the piercing itself was quick and almost painless.

Today changed everything! Josh took my terrible Tatto and turned it into a fit for me masterpiece! He listened to exactly what I wanted and worked his Magic. He was professional, focuses and companionate. I have lived 20 years with a tattoo that I hated. It affected me psychologically. I was in tears after he revealed his work. Chris is fantastic with both piercing and tatts. He is a master piercer and is familiar with acupuncture points for health reasons such as the Daith for migraine headache sufferers(yes it really works folks, I had suffered them over 40yrs, but no more) and if he doesnt know he will look it up. He did my memorial tattoo and he has a very light touch and it turned out wonderful with him working from a photo of the tatt my sister had done in Florida and was able to make the changes to design I wanted. My son and his friends will only use Chris and have multiple tatts that are great looking artwork. I havent used any of the artists but havent heard about any complaints against this shop.

Just had chris do this peice for me, im from scotland so i asked him to swap it out to my date system, i was nervous, ive never had a tattoo without either severe feeling of vomiting, vomiting or the odd occasion of passing out. He made me feel so relaxed and comfortable, i actually enjoyed getting it done, which i usually dislike the process, but this was great. Ask for chris, hes a fantastic guy and really helps you feel at ease. Thanks guys, you 110% have my business from here on out!!

Great overall experience, my first tattoo, for old guy, I was impressed with the cleanliness, the professionalism, and the work of Cody. I wanted old school/traditional tattoo, and took a printed out picture from a google search of an old Sailor Jerry Tattoo, and Cody drew it up, perfect. I am already searching for my next tattoo image, and I will be going back to Cody and Texas Tattoo for the work.

They did great with my tattoo! I drew up my own design, but the chick who did my tattoo looked over it to make sure it was as I wanted it and she took her time getting it done. Highly recommend!

Called this place asking when they would cut off Friday the 13th tattoos and was told they would take people until 8 when they close. Get to the place at 7 after driving an hour from Dallas and was told they were no longer taking anybody.

Responded to message asking for bookings with paypal invoice in early May. sent messages. got responses but they never booked requested appts. called today to set appt. came in at time agreed and asked for artist. waited 15 minutes before ackowledgrd and talked to by anyone in shop. artist unavailable that was booked with and said double booked. then told that he couldnt do what we wanted and discussed on the phone with appt setter. artist got an attitude when found out that he had an appt at a time and was upset b/c he was not the one that scheduled it.talked to another artist and got the run around and told we are not an internet company after said been trying to book appt since early/mid may. and that they were booked up heavy since reopening.would not recommend. this is not a way to run a shop...

Went in here inquiring about piercings and was talked down to by some short dude with a ponytail that had flicked his still lit cigarette butt at my car before I got out and went inside. After my questions being answered in a short, clipped way, I was immediately turned off and politely thanked this impatient dude for his time, sat in the car and found Wildkatz on Wesley. Walked in, was treated very politely and it smelled better too lol. Won’t go back to Texas Tattoo based on the front desk alone.

Josh is the owner, he has done all of my tattoos better than I imagined them! He also has very good artist around him I would let any of them do my tattoos and I recommend this shop to everyone!

I went into Texas Tattoo & Larry did my husbands name on my ring finger last Friday, it started to fade & I let Larry know I needed it touched up. He was super cool and touched it up. I love the tattoo! It means so much to me. In the future hes going to do a touch up on my daughters name. I also had my toung pierced there, I had it pierced at 4 different places & & it never worked.My toung always got infected. Not This time , I love my toung ring, my ring finger tattoo & my husbands ring finger tattoo with my name on his ring finger.This place is absolutely AMAZING . I WOULDNT go to any other place, and honestly... They are pretty cool, laid back . to the guy who did my toung & husbands ring finger.... Thank you! Hubby and I got piercings yesterday and our experience was amazing. The guy at the front desk was really cool, and the guy who pierced us is great at what he does!

I got my nose pierced by Chris, and he did an amazing job! I was terrified, but he did it quickly and was extremely nice! I would definitely go here for another piercing or a tattoo!

I went to see Josh for a cover up of an old tat on my upper arm. I told him my basic idea & turned him loose to do his thing. It came out great. I get plenty of compliments on the new ink. I will definitely be back.

Went there to have my ear piercings checked out. The piercer was very helpful! Changed my too short earings and gave me better aftercare directions.

My friend got three piercings, her tongue got infected and wasn’t even pierced right. Got her belly button pierced and it was in the wrong spot, it’s sinking into her skin Bc it was pierced wrong, and it’s swelling which doesn’t rlly happen with piercings, she called and she can’t get a refund... she is going to the hospital now for her tongue... DO NOT GET PIERCINGS HERE!!

I got 4 piercings, both of my tragus and daiths, and the gentleman who did my piercings was very patient with me when I needed a break.
