Just got my septum pierced here by Rev and it was an incredibly smooth and painless process! I got my nostril pierced a bit ago somewhere else before i moved and the piercer barely spoke to me and was very clearly in a rush, so i was a bit worried coming to a new place. but despite knowing Ren had a appointment right after me he took his time with me and understood i was nervous, he showed me the equipment so i understood what was going on, and talked to me about it many years of experience. i was incredibly comfortable here and will 100% be coming back to 717 for any new piercings or tattoos!

Three of us came in for ear piercings with Hannah and we can’t recommend her enough! She was professional and friendly and all of us have been healing well. She knows what she’s doing and made the experience fun and not scary at all. Will definitely be back.

Wow, after a 6 hour day, I couldnt be happier. Kevin took care of my problem full circle. His artwork is amazing. Just as important, you are treated like family. The conversations are engaging and make the afternoon just fly by. An experience that deserves my utmost respect. Cant wait to go back!!!

Just got my ears pierced by Rev for my birthday and when I tell you, that man has magic in his fingers! He was super fun and the conversation he kept up made me able to be distracted that there was a needle going into my ear. 10/10 would recommend this place again. I haven’t felt any pain since getting it. The girl in the front was super nice and squeezed me in even though I was a walk-in. They were quick and the shop was super cute! I also loved the waiting area. Can’t wait to see how my ears heal so I can get another piercing. So far, so good!

I just had the tragus piercing done by Hannah. My experience was great from start to finish. She was very professional and definitely knows what she is doing.I was in and out of there and I was a walk-in, so they had to fit me in Hannahs schedule. I have been at this location twice,for a finger tattoo as well both were pleasant experiences. Be sure to bring a photo ID Because you will need it when completing the paperwork that you will have to submit.

I took my 76 year old father here today to get his first tattoo! Christopher took excellent care of both me and my Dad as we got tattoos in rememberance of my baby sister who passed away on December 6 at the age of 46. Christopher was kind and then fun. He was professional and good. I love my Dads tattoo and I love mine, two very different vibes, two very different tats.You be the judge... beautiful, detailed work. Christopher was awesome! Ask for him, he will give you a tattoo to be proud of.

Rev is amazing! We always go to him to get our piercings! The shop is always clean and everyone that works there is super friendly and more than willing to help you or answer any questions you may have.

Absolutely the best tattoo studio in the area. I have gone to Kevin at 717 since I got my first tattoo in 2018. 4 tattoos later and I cannot say enough good things about them. The entire staff is very friendly and always playing music which definitely calms the nerves. Kevin is an amazing artist, very caring, and will consistently checks in on me during the whole tattoo process.

I got my nose pierced by Hannah in April. Fist she couldnt get the piercing to go in so she just pushed which was extremely painful. Now that it has healed and Ive been able to change it every time I go to change it the holes do not line up on the outside of my nose and the inside my nose so it is extremely painful for me to put a different stud in. Definitely do not recommend.

Was super nervous to get my Daith pierced. however, Rev immediately put me at ease. I highly highly highly highly recommend him to anyone needing a piercing. Absolutely best ever! Thank you Rev!💜

My experience with Brian at 717 was incredible, dude knows more about his artform than anyone i’ve ever spoken to before. i sat for 7hrs with him yesterday and left with the most amazingly-vibrant colors in a tattoo that i’ve ever seen in person 😍

My daughter and I went to 717 Tattoo in Harrisburg for the first time together to get matching tattoos on our wrists. Our tattoo artist, Dennis, was very friendly and did amazing work. He was very fast and efficient. I would highly recommend him and 717 Tattoo. We returned the following week so that he could fix and cover a tattoo on my daughters finger that someone else did. It represents epilepsy awareness and what a fighter she is living with seizures for over 20 years now. He did a great job again!

My friend and I had planned on getting piercings together for a month and ended up changing our plans to end up here last minute. They still took us on walk-in basis, which was great. Hannah was really funny and nice through the whole thing, and we’re both super happy with how everything turned out. Really glad we ended up at 717. I live over an hour away but I’ll definitely be going back for all my piercings!

I got 2 piercings from here and the piercers were great for during the process and months later when I had some sensitivity to new jewelry.

Went in on 12/28 for 3 piercings and 2 tattoos. First I saw Kevin for the tattoos, he’s done all of mine so that’s no shocker… such a sweet guy with such talent. Every single time he checks to make sure you’re okay frequently and has a very inviting smile.Rev did my piercings. I was super nervous because these were my first ever piercings. He could tell I was nervous and right away started talking to me about his interests and stories of his life, it absolutely calmed me down and said he loved my jeep! Even told me his favorite color (I’m not allowed to tell anyone so don’t ask).I’d absolutely recommend this tattoo shop, I drive over an hour to come see these guys every time!

I got a tattoo with Laci two weeks ago. It has healed beautifully! She is fantastic to work with. I am not artistic but knew the content I wanted, so she drew it up for me and its exactly what I was looking for. The details are perfect, down to the little hairs on the bee. The shop was clean and professional. I will definitely be back and highly recommend Laci.-Prices are what youd expect for quality art/work and worth it.

We stopped in (without calling first) only to find out that the person qualified for tongue piercing currently does not work weekends at this location.The staff was pleasant and informative. They had plenty of clients and this location has plenty of stuff to choose from to look at or shop for if you do end up having to wait for services.Side note: We were informed that if you’re a minor seeking tongue piercing you will need your birth certificate at any 717 Tattoo locations. I do recommend that you call about any services for a minor as they do have certain things that need to be addressed before they can perform said service(s) to a minor.

Kevin is my artist of choice at 717 tattoo. ive gotten all of my tattoos from him, the quality of ink he uses and the quality of his work is unbeatable. Ive gotten numerous compliments on the quality of my tattoos, even by other tattoo artists! give him guidance with what you are looking for and he will create a truly amazing piece for you. ive also only ever had to have 1 of them touched up, which took a total of 5 seconds, and was my fault. no complaints at all. he is doing all of my tattoos as long as he still works.

I have been wanting a nose piercing since my teenage years and have been terrified to do it, even to the point of doing it myself twice only to have issues. I finally decided to get it done professionally and got a few referrals for Rev. I went in on a whim Friday, and he wasnt there but I was too chicken to make an appointment. On Monday, I called, made the appointment (in hopes I would follow through) and I am so glad I did. Coming from someone that literally has to lay down to get blood taken, this was the smoothest experience! He was so confident and reassuring, and delivered on it. No regrets. Im probably going back to get my ears pierced. If you have any reservations or fear, hes your guy. If you want a professional job and want to add to your mod collection, turns out hes still your guy. Awesome experience, kind of low key embarrassed it took me this long to commit.

I made an appointment to get my nose pierced. I hit the curb outside the building and popped my tire so I had to cancel my appointment. The piercer came out and changed my tire for me even though I didn’t get a service done. 10/10 would definitely recommend! He was so nice and helpful. Got my septum pierced today (3/4/23). Questions were thoroughly answered and I didnt feel rushed. Allie had me out of the chair within what felt like 3 seconds! Very knowledgeable and caring piercer, 10/10, would return.

Got there first thing in the morning. Was told that I could not get a tattoo the same day, we had to make an appointment even though two people were there and no one else was in the shop. She was very rude and not welcoming at all. Instead went to Ego Ink and they took me right away. Was in and out of Ego Ink in less than an hour with a beautiful professionaly done tattoo.In response to the owner. I rated it one star because 1. On the door you advertise walk ins welcomed- obviously that is not the case 2. The attitude of the person working was not customer friendly in any way 3. When we asked for recommendations for other shops they said they couldnt help.

Ive gotten multiple piercings done here and every time Ive had a fantastic experience. Rev is wonderful and makes me feel comfortable every step of the way. Great atmosphere, clean, and the prices are very fair.

I’ve Contacted the artist (Dennis) several times through phone,email and calling still no answers. Clearly he’s not interested in tattooing me again would have respected it more if he was just up front with me …I wasn’t my time

Got my second tattoo from Anthony. Anthony worked with me to develop a design and was very clear about scheduling and price estimates. He took my verbal description and turned it into a beautiful design. The day of the appointment he explained the procedure clearly. He was able to tattoo a fairly complex symmetrical design even though my leg was jumping around like crazy! The tattoo looks fantastic and the colors are very vibrant. It hurt like hell but I never felt like I was being judged. Aftercare instructions were very easy to find on their website.The shop was clean and following COVID procedures. Staff are very nice and it has a cool atmosphere. Anthony made me feel very comfortable during the tattoo and was easy to converse with. I will 100% be coming back!

Wow!!!! I am so impressed! I got my nose pierced tonight by Rev. He was friendly, personable, and the most knowledgeable piercer I’ve ever met!! His experience speaks for itself. I have metal allergies so I needed a glass retainer instead of metal jewelry. I couldn’t find a piercer that could answer my questions, until I called this shop. Rev was efficient, accurate, and VERY informative. I’m so thankful I found 717 Harrisburg!! The shop was clean, everyone wore masks (properly!) and the staff was kind. I will be back for any future piercings! It was well-worth an hour drive for a piercing by Rev! ❤️

I got my first piercing here. The staff are friendly and awesome. Rev, my piercer, was very knowledgeable, and his experience certainly shows. Had to wait a bit longer than I was planning to get to my appointment, but once I was in, everything was done quick without feeling rushed. Will be my first choice if I end up wanting further work done!

Came in today after scheduling an appointment for 2 piercings. I have gotten piercings at other places in the past and only had experience with piercing guns and one time with a piercing needle which was infected so I was scared to go to any shop for new piercings. I finally got the courage to get piercings I have wanted for a while and decided to go to 717 in Harrisburg as I have heard nothing but amazing reviews about them. I made an appointment, as I entered I was immediately greeted and was nicely helped. I then got my 2 daith piercings by the piercer Rev. Even tho I was scared due to past experiences, Rev talked to me and showed genuine interest in me as a customer. He pierced my ears PERFECTLY. Rev, along with all the staff is amazing and when I get more piercings along with my first tattoo I will definitely be coming to 717. I would give more than 5 stars if it was possible!

First piercing for me and I wanted a professional, not just a mall and a gun to blow my ears to bits. They helped me get a custom set made after months of searching, and they just right. Rev did my piercing. He is a great guy with plenty of experience and friendly to talk to. The piercing was quick and just a little sting. Unfortunately, I dont do well with needles in any scenario, so I started to pass out. But he knew exactly the steps to take and kept me there with water and cool towels, checking on me before I left to make sure I was okay. A few weeks after and zero problems.

Got my nose pierced and bought some cleaning solution for it. The staff is friendly and it was a quick experience! Rev was awesome and was the best piercer I could ask for. They also had safety in place for COVID and masks were worn the whole time. I highly recommend 717 :)

I got my nose pierced there a year ago, Rev was very professional and very clean and helped me so much. Unfortunately my nose ring fell out and closed up so I will definitely be going back to get that done. I also got a tattoo done by Kevin who did amazing and did exactly what I wanted! I had had some piercings at another tattoo studio. Were rejected due to the fact that the jewelry was not surgical steel or real jewelry hypoallergenic to be exact! The gentleman who did my piercing at 717 tattoo did a fantastic job! Not only did he make it painless, he gave me explicit instructions on how to care for the piercings! The other Tattoo Studio gave me nothing like this! Im glad to say that my piercing is doing fantastic, Ive had no problems with it, it is healing perfectly! I highly recommend 717 tattoo body piercings, Studio to EVERYONE! I even have a consultation to have some tattoos removed so I can get new ones by them put on!!

Great personality and does awesome work. I barley felt anything. It was so great I scheduled another appointment met before I left the shop 🥰

I stopped in today for a consultation with Kevin to discuss a cover up tattoo on my right forearm. I had more than enough time to talk with him about my ideas and showed him some pictures of what I have in mind.I then put down a deposit to book my appointment to get new ink. I have to wait until early July to get my ink, but thats a good sign that theyre booked that far out.The shop was clean and the other artists were taking proper precautions in regards to safety and health, not only for themselves but also for the clients.I cant wait until July to get my new ink!!!UPDATE : New tattoo will happen in August. I cant wait!! I will post an update here again once the work is done.

Very clean, follow health department protocol (I judge an establishments cleanliness on how clean they keep their bathroom, that being said their bathroom was clean). I had two different tattoo artists ink me here. Im just in love with Ella Tricks work. I have been unable to appreciate my body until she tattooed me. I will be returning! She really understood what I wanted as far as the design and feel of my tattoo. She is really nice and patient with your requests or change ups, will answer any questions you have without being impatient or judgmental. Great experience! Im a real happy lady!

Had a terrible experience back in 2017, thankfully the guy was fired the following year. In 2019, I found Kevin Martin at 717 Columbia and got some work done with him there. When he went to 717 Harrisburg I followed him, despite my past experience. The team they have right now is amazing! Everyone is very nice and honestly looking out for your well being. Definitely a good welcome back experience!!

I have to say my experience here was quick easy and very professional rev was amazing when trying to calm me down for my piercings I heard a lot of good things about him so thats why I decided to give it a shot I was in and out within 15 minutes and Im very happy with the results. I have heard from several people that the nipple piercings are very painful but mine was not I have to say thank you very much.

Had my first ink done by Joe about a month ago. He was terrific to work with; very nice and talented guy! The tattoo looks great and Im looking forward to seeing him again as soon as I decide what I want for my second! Great place; theyve earned a repeat customer !

I was here two weeks ago to get my nose pierced and the experience was amazing! My piercer was Nate, normally from Mechanicsburg and HIGHLY recommended by me! Hes extremely nice, answers all of your questions and has a calming reassuring way about him. HOWEVER, I took my mother here tonight to get her Tragus pierced. Its what she wanted for her birthday, and the experience was absolutely TERRIBLE! Im not saying the guy who did it (Rev) did it wrong or anything. It was his horrible attitude!! He didnt really explain anything about what he was going to be doing, was very snappy; apologized for being so but then continued to be that way, and did nothing but complain about us being there because he was ready to leave and had his stuff cleaned up already and how it was such a hassle to do it like dude you could have said NO to doing it and we would have came back another time.. But after that experience I doubt we will again. Ive seen a lot of his good work online and my friend has had a lot of work done by him, so I know hes good at what he does, but come on! I feel terrible that I recommended 717 and will most certainly not do so in the future. Very disappointed!!!

I got my navel pierced here and I love it! They give you information on how to take care of it and thanks to that, mine has never gotten infected! I did have a friend who did have hers get infected, but Rev was super nice and fixed it for her. I also got my tattoo on 717 day at the Mechanicsburg location and I never had any trouble with it! They are the only ones I trust to do any modifications.

I went here for my first tattoo, and the experience was awesome. Jazmyn really helped to ease my stress and fears about the pain and was incredibly authentic and friendly. Also, the shop was dedicated to upholding absolute cleanliness, and everyone I encountered was fun, kind, and welcoming. To top it all off, the tattoo is absolutely amazing! Initially had a misunderstanding of a previous situation that occurred, however Rav was polite and returned my phone call and talked with me until we could resolve the situation. Rav has always been courteous and talks you through a piercing, and Ive always appreciated how he treats his customers. During our call he also asked if there was anything he can do to ensure that he works with my hearing disability more. In the end it was all just one big misunderstanding and the fact that he was willing to call and talk about it definitely shows a lot of courage and kindheartedness. He has always done well with my piercings.

I had my belly button pierced here yesterday. The process was way less daunting than I expected, mostly because the piercer, Nate, talked with me for half an hour beforehand and answered all my questions about the process and what I should expect while healing. The piercing was almost painless, looks great, and I feel prepared to take care of it after learning from Nate. Overall, great experience, and I will be going back for future piercings/tattoos!

It was an ok experience. After you check in, they dont call you by name, they call you by what youre getting done 🤔. The guy who did my nose ring did a good job but seemed in a hurry to go after he was done. Idk. I just wouldve preferred not to have felt like an object or just a number.

I took my friend in for a tattoo. Clean place, great artwork, but pricey. Booked an appointment ($50 pre-paid). Day of appointment they decided to close early based on a snow forecast, but never bothered to call to say they were closing. Luckily I called them to hear that hey we are already closed. When I went to reschedule they only had an opening 4 weeks later. When I asked for a refund they said no refunds for cancellations. I reminded them that they cancelled on me, not the other way around. Called back to talk to someone else, and they found an opening the following day. She just needed a couple of tally marks (years since someone passed) and after the work was done we had to pay and additional $30. Wont be recommending them.

Kevin was easy-going, patient and explained the process throughly. This was my first tattoo, and he made me feel very comfortable and prepared. Highly recommend.

Update: I got a tattoo here 5 years ago and originally left a 1 star review and was furious....I went back today and got a tattoo, and the experience was phenomenal! Alex is an amazing artist and Im VERY happy with the results!!

I had a nostril piercing done here by Rev and Ive never had any problems with the piercing. The staff is always friendly and helpful when I go back, and ask for help changing the ring. No complaints at all; I highly recommend.

Went in for an Industrial with Rev Decay. He discussed potential difficulties due to the shape of my ear with me, and I decided to do a helix instead. This was my first new piercing in about fifteen years, so some of my knowledge was out dated. He went through all current recommendations with me and never talked down to me about my outdated info. Highly recommend. Will likely be going back.

Ive been going to 717 Tattoo for four years now; I got my first facial piercing and tattoo there and recently got an amazing scar done by Rev, one of the piercers at the Jonestown location. Truly, no other establishment in the area compares. They are always friendly and accomodating, even at their busiest, their prices are fair, their shop is clean and inviting, and Ive never been disappointed by anything Ive gotten done. Im getting a tattoo soon by one of their artists, Rob, and he estimated it at $600! I was shocked, it was such a deal.As if all that wasnt enough, there are a million ways to be involved in their growing community besides getting work done, like contests, deals, seasonal events and just plain falling in love with all the staff-- theyre all wonderful!If you want to make sure youre getting the most quality for the best price, definitely go to 717 first, they always come through.

She was very easy to talk with during the tattoo which made the time go by faster, infact the other guys working were all very nice too. I would definitely recommend Laci & this shop to anyone looking for new art.

Never got a tattoo from here but it’s the only place I’ll go for piercings. Rev is amazing and makes the piercing process quick, easy, and not awkward (depending on location of piercings) like some piercers do. Definitely recommend for piercings!

Got a daith piercing here. The epicenter was good, Rev was a good piercer, and the atmosphere is chill. Just wish I got more info ok aftercare.

Was in town and wanted to get my daughter and I small (2x2) matching tattoos. Called when they opened and they said they dont do walk-ins until 5. We wanted to have dinner first. Came by at 7:45. There was not a single customer in the place and when I asked if we could get the work done the answer was they close at 9 so they werent doing anything else. Since we already had a poc of what we wanted and the small size of the tat we wanted, that is more than enough time. If that is how they do business by stopping work over an hour before they close, then glad I didnt get it done there. Total lack of professionalism and work ethic. It likely would have shown in the work.

Belly button piercing experience was worthless ... waisted $50 because the chic didnt pierce it correct. She didnt even use a regular belly ring!! .... I had to get it redone another place after it healed. Looks so much better now, although now I have a big scar from the one she did.

Wonderful experience!!. EVERYONE there has been exceptional. Lacy is AMAZING!. The music is fun, the artists are fun, friendly, the environment is cool!. I love it!. Definitely will be back!!!.

I went here with my girl to get a piercing. I could tell the guy who did it was experienced and did it very quickly and painlessly. The people are pretty friendly who work here and will help out if they can.

I went in for a nose piercing and the guy who did it was absolutely awesome. He did it quick and easy. It was not painful and I went there for around 5 minutes. It was a great experience.

I have only had appointments with Joe here, but he is awesome, and everyone is really friendly. The shop itself is clean and well-lit, though not the easiest to pull into depending on what direction you come from.

Best place to get a piercing. Rev and Ashley at the Harrisburg location is seriously the best. As far as tattoo artists there, Joe (Harrisburg) and Stefan (Highspire) are the best artists. Heard great things about Gep (piercer).
