Red Beard Ink Tattoo & Body Piercing of Harrisburg

I went to Red Beard Ink just yesterday for my 1st with my husband and friend. We all had an amazing experience, the owner was very diligent, humorous and created a great atmosphere. All of our tattoos look great and I’ll be sure to get my next tattoo here. I’ll attach photos once it’s healed. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking.

TERRIBLE!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! He’s a scam $200 for this? And it’s terrible the x at the bottom is messed up when we first went in we didn’t get greeted I said i wanted the picture shown but basically how mine is why isn’t it colored in like the picture? Why is the tree so different then the picture the shading is terrible the 17 isn’t fully colored in you did me dirty and you know it and I know I’m not the first person you did dirty you should be shut down for good! You’re a fake copying phat joe do not become a tattoo artist if you don’t know what you’re doing smh! my first tattoo and this is what I get! I also got my lip pierced you got the needle through and kept talking before even putting the jewelry through and it looked like a eyebrow bar and it was uneven when I got It done no after care just was handed a paper towel if you call this professional your stupid.

Unexperienced. Went here for a septum piercing and he pierced it sideways and went to far up it ended up causing alot of issues that I went to another piercer and he said he did me wrong and it was obvious he did not know what he was doing and that I was not the 1st individual to walk into them unsatisfied with Red Beard Ink. Every one of them had looked at each other after looking at the piercing and told me about the scarring it would leave. When I had it re done you could see the difference of placement. I recommend carefully looking into your piercer before scheduling an appointment or walking in.

Just got the most beautiful Pinup done. He really did a wonderful job bringing her to life. She is even better than the picture I gave him. I will definitely be a return customer for anything I want. I called for an appointment and was scheduled the next day. Im so happy with the work he did.

He can take any picture you want and make it exactly the way you want itAlso, Red is a nice dude, has pretty chill collections, and definitely takes pride in his work (which he should) since he gave me such a beautiful piece of art :)

He’s a nice guy. Really nice. But he did an awful job on my nose piercing. For starters, when I got it pierced, he didn’t even mark it and ask me if the placement was to my liking. He didn’t use a clamp or tunnel to catch the needle either. Just shoved the needle in my nose. I was so scared for what it looked like. Didn’t even give me a mirror to look at it after he finished. It looked good. It did. The placement is perfect. I’ll give him that. By i recently changed it to a hoop, and the hoop sits at the absolute worst angle. He didn’t pierce through the cartilage straight. It’s entirely crooked. It’s really frustrating. Spend a good $50 on this piercing only for me to now have to get it redone. Very disappointing. Should have listened to the other reviews.

Had my daughters nose pierced here two years ago, my niece got a helix piercing her last year and going in tomorrow to have another piercing done. Very personable, friendly and funny. Appointments for piercings are not needed but I always call before to ensure he is available and not going to be busy working on a tatt. Highly recommend.

This is definitely the place to go when you want a piercing! The owner was very polite and professional he helped me a lot at first he could tell I was nervous but he made it as quick and non-painful as possible for my first time getting my frog eyes done. Definitely recommend!!.

Red Beard is a very nice guy and respectful! I got my belly button pierced there a year ago and it’s been doing awesome, I recently just got my nose pierced about 2 weeks ago and I love it! I’ve had no problems with any of them. It was super fast to get both done, in and out type of experience. Place is well maintained and very clean. Would highly recommend!

Terrible, unprofessional i had gotten an eyebrow piercing done he completely messed it up by piercing my skin and having to put the needle back in the wound after missing the whole for the jewelry. the pain was unbearable and rejected very quickly. i don’t recommend him to anyone he’s very rude, unprofessional and the place is quite dirty. i also hear from other places he uses an amazon tattoo removal gun. DONT GO HERE PLEASE!!

I walked in and sat in the waiting room while the owner ignored me (wasnt even greeted). Finally a woman comes out and I tell her what I want. Owner does piercing without marking or asking me about placement, says okay done. No aftercare tips, no telling me how long it would heal. Just a goodbye. Worst service ever and my piercing looks horrible. Dont go here if you dont want to be treated like an inconvenience.

He seemed mad after I told him he didn’t make my snake bites even…. He barley let me look to see where they would be… so I had to get them taken out and he was gonna redo them and it took five tries and looks to get the right placement…. But they still aren’t completely even but I am ok with how they look now but instead of getting pierced twice I had to get pierced four times…. And he only started being nice when he seen I was on the phone…. Which I would have recorded the experience…. I really don’t recommend going here for piercings…..

Have known Redbeard for years since I was in high school (I am 34)! He did my first tattoo and has done ALMOST every tattoo on my body! Just had one done by him like 2 weeks ago! He is a very good artist!!!

I needed my nose re-pierced and after calling around to mo avail, an appointment was required and/or their piercer was not there I took a chance and went to RedBeards He was very cool and took me right away. At RedBeards he IS the piercer.Thinking about having some tattoo cover up done as well.

This has to be one of the most amazing tattoo shops Ive ever seen. Redbeard does all kinds of art, including my first tattoo. I was a nervous wreck before I got it done. Before he started, he made sure I was comfortable. He has an amazing spirit and makes you feel happy, not afraid. It was like needles stabbing your back at first, then you eventually get use to it. He does take breaks often so you can relax. Did I mention how clean he is? He is very sanitized and make sure to get the job done after all the money youre spending. I love my tattoo. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Red beard is actually a very nice person and his work is overall very nice. But every time I come he is not open when the website says he is open he done a couple of my tattoos and a couple of my piercings but now when I come he is not here and this is the 5th time this happened and its honestly not cool because not everybody got cars I actually travel to get here and its a waste of money honestly.

My son got his first tattoo from Red Beard. The shop was very clean, very welcoming.Red was great with him. He is 16 years old. The tattoo turned out great! Im sure we will be back .

I got my belly button pierced at Reds shop today, and it was by far an exceptional experience. He is such a personalable guy, not to mention amazing at what he does, but easy to get along with. Truly a down to earth kind of man. Thanks so much!!

Great place I got my nose piercing done here for my 15th bday. I love the iconic red beard and the procedure was fast n done quick. I love this place will come here for more piercings and tattoos!

He was very kind and concerned about how and what I wanted for my tattoo. Even gave me advice on where to put it since Im only 17 and growing up still looking for a career. The place was clean and looked like a cool tattoo shop. He also did a great job and kept checking to see if I was okay. His tracing and shading was perfect for my tattoo. I LOVE IT

I have gone to plenty of tattoo parlors before and none received me the way that Red did! Insanely well done tattoos and an extremely friendly owner is the recipe for a successful business. The shop is clean and comfortable, feels just like home!

I just went to red for my nipple piercing last night!! It could not have been more perfect! Ive gotten many piercings from my belly monroe nose and diff ear piercings and none of those artist were as kind and took there time to make sure it was done right! The breathing technique he coached me through the piercing with made the pain comoletely tolerable! This man KNOWS what hes doing and he is amazing at his job! I got my first tattoo here and could not have had a better experience. I had my wedding ring tattooed on since I work with my hands and can not wear a ring. Red Beard answered all of my questions and was great conversation. I am very happy with how my tattoo turned out and will recommend this place to everyone

Although the man helping me was very kind and patient with my screams of pain, he didnt sanitize my nose properly before piercing, just pinched and stabbed. And with a gauge larger than I was expecting, a problem that would have been avoided if there were more communication. He also suggested I was it with soap and water (something you really dont want to do with a new piercing).

Red beard was very wise when speaking and he talked about his father a lot. His father is proud of him.I got my tattoo years ago and it is still receiving compliments. Thanks, man.

I got my nose pierced and it was so crooked. I had my other side done and wanted it to match on the other side. He clamped my nose and pierced without marking the spot and asking me if it was okay. I had to take it out 5 minutes after I got it done because it was so horrible. Would not recommend to anyone.

Got three piercings here, two done today as a walk in. Quality work, very professional. Will return.

Red Beard is very empathetic and makes sure that you feel comfortable during the piercing. His work is above and beyond GREAT!!! Very neat and clean!!!

Red Beard to the rescue! My daughter got her tongue pierced by a competitor and they did a terrible job, they used the incorrect size jewelry and she was in agony after 2 days. Her tongue was swollen and the jewelry was put in improperly and impossible to remove. Red Beard was able to get the jewelry out and was very kind.

Owner was pretty down to earth and polite. The atmosphere was friendly I felt like I knew Red Beard my entire life becuase of our similarities. I definitely recommend this place for a tattoo. Very professional.

Got my Belly pierced and he’s so gentle, did not hurt and was very quick . took his time .

I went to Red Beard for my sons name on my collar bone. He not only made me feel comfortable but he also did an amazing job. He was a conversationalist and definitely knew what he waa doing. Very very unprofessional, had me sitting there for an hour. Once he finally came out and asked what I wanted, I told him I would like a small line tattoo. Only for him to turn around and say he couldn’t do it, when the front sign clearly states walk ins are welcomed. Not sure why I had to wait a total of 45mims to be told I wouldn’t be able to get it.

I had my snakebites done here and they came out fine, however when i had him give me an extremely simple wrist tattoo it all went to hell. I dont think he really listened to me or respected the sketch i brought in, which was simply my sons name and a few lines and some stars and a treble clef. I thought it was fine until the swelling all went down and I saw what i was Forever stuck with, the lines are all completely uneven and different thicknesses, there are clearly spots he missed filling in, and my sons name isnt even on one of the lines like it was supposed to be! So for the past few years ive been stuck with this awfull mess of a first and Only tattoo, and am going to have to get a cover up, and have it redone by someone who will actually show that they are listening to me and make it as beautiful as it should be on my skin!

Very professional. Received both of my tattoos and two of my piercings through this company. If he would have been available for my third piercing in years past, I would have chosen him for that one too.

Daughter got her nose pierced today after months of begging. It was a super easy process. Very professional, clean, and fast. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Bob himself is a great dude, the shop is well kept, and overall has a positive atmosphere. As for the actual tattooing, I must have just caught him on an off day because Im honestly blown away at how poorly it turned out. He tattoed sections I asked him to omit, missed all sorts of lines, and failed to close notable gaps. I refuse to bash anyone on a review, nor have I ever written a negative review, but I feel like it is just incredibly important to be thorough about your desires. All other reviews seem to indicate that he really is a class act. Perhaps he was just disinterested in my design. Perhaps Im being too harsh. Im just not too into the fact that I will look at something I didnt want on my body for the rest of my life.

Got a coverup tattoo here about a year ago. When I asked him to fix something in the sketch on my hand (that was uneven and sloppy) he said no and gestured to my hand and said “when I’m working, this is mine” (referring, of course, to my hand.) I was unsatisfied with the tattoo and now have no idea what I’m going to do with it. I am perfectly ok with having a tattoo on my hand, but this sloppy design and poor work is so bad that I wear a glove every single time I go out in public. He was incredibly rude and treated me as if I was forcing him to do this. When I pay someone to do a job for me that will be on MY skin forever, I expect to be treated with basic respect. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Disgusted with my experience here and just hope no one else makes the same mistake I did.

Got my tongue pierced! A small pinch at first and as many timess I got it pierced never thought I will not feel that sting feeling after the first day. Plus being able to eat solid foods. I am just a happy camper!

I went into red bear earlier, to get my belly button pierced. It was great, I was in and out, in a matter of 15-20 minutes. I would go back again.

Amazing work, in a calming and warm atmosphere. I had my draith pierced a year ago for chronic migraines, 4-5 a day, once I had it done, I have had maybe 2-3 migraines in the year!
